Even if Rosario Dawson wasn't allegedly a transphobe, the Ahsoka show has still so many issues, first of all the characters that we all previously met became just bland and two dimensional, everyone there looks like they never had an acting class in their entire lives, we are literally at episode 5 and the plot has moved nowhere, we just saw Ahsoka and Sabine having fights, while pulling their only facial expression available, it is overall criminally boring, it just ruined the Rebels characters for me, Ahsoka was given a resolution to an internal dilemma that we didn't even see building up, the only good moment in this show was literally Hayden Christensen as Anakin/Darth Vader and like the young actress for young Ahsoka that felt almost the same as Anakin and Ahsoka from tcw, Hayden was literally trying to carry the entire chemistry between him and Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka not really succeeding, because her Ahsoka just doesn't feel like Ahsoka at all in the first place

qui gon is one of the most misunderstood/misinterpreted star wars characters...

people see hes a jedi who doesnt strictly follow the rules and think that means hes either too peaceful for them or too violent for them. hes barely a character and yet hes too complicated for star wars fans because he dares to be BARELY nuanced during the prequels where everyone sees everythings super black and white.

but also because people dont want to watch episode one bc its really bad. LOL.

sorry in advance to be talking about star wars again (i’m watching a jenny nicholson video about it is why) but it’s such a shame that the cinematic & narrative devices used to communicate kylo and rey’s “force bond” are genuinely neat and an inventive way to show an aspect of the force that is pretty hard to communicate on film. their dream conversations or psychic links or whatever were a really interesting evolution of how the original trilogy handled the more “mystic” aspects of the force as well as just representing you know. the false dichotomy of light and dark and shit. but what came of those devices by the end of the sequel trilogy is just….. really dogshit writing from the people in charge of the movies and really dogshit writing from reylo shippers. sad
