Drew all the @project-canada provinces and territories in my new anime-inspired style! I based their poses on the ones in that old height chart that Sherry did back in 2011 or something (now I feel old), but I obviously drew them myself from reference. (I don't believe in tracing.)

Isn’t that the reason why the IAMP/Project Canada became a thing?

Only partially. IAMP/PC was a part of my complicated relationship with aph/hws Canada because although I agree with the mission statement of the project, it still doesn’t fully reflect my evolving understanding of the country nor has it always reflected the same view of the country as my personal understanding of it. That’s not intended as an indictment, just an observation.

IAMP was created to challenge the fandom construction of Canada as innocent and moe on an international level, but it doesn’t inherently challenge what Canada is or should be internally. Part of that is just because it’s dated, part of that is a uniform perspective to simplify storytelling, part of it is because it’s a microcosm of central Canada being “real” Canada and the rest as secondary, and so on and so forth. This drawing is less about the purpose of IAMP and more about my own personal relationship with the character, which IAMP somewhat informed but also complicated..

It was based off of my favourite meme, Come to the Darkside, we have cookies.

It also fit my wannabe edgy preteen mind when I chose it.

Blog Closed - Thank You!

I wanted to have some art for this post, but another project has tied me up for over the last week.

A big thank you to everyone who followed and sent in questions. You helped give us more content to work with and create some funny stuff! I couldn’t draw out everything I planned, but I got a laugh, so mission accomplished!

Last but not least, thank you to my fellow members who joined me in this month-long event.

@allbeendonebefore, thanks for helping out with the art and introducing Alberta and Yukon to the event.

@surfingthesealand, thanks for introducing New Brunswick. You had some great ideas, too.

@moony2020, thanks for introducing Newfoundland and Labrador. There was more I wanted to do with him, but I’m glad that he made an appearance.
