Today I am crying bc my mom, who has learned about sighthounds and lure coursing as an act of love and support to me. To be able to better understand what I’m saying when I talk about my hobbies and dogs. To be able to come to one lure coursing trial a year and spend quality time with me and follow along with what’s happening.

My mom, who never cared or desired to know more about dogs and dog sports but has learned simply to better understand and connect with me. Not only joined lure coursing Facebook groups, but donated unprompted and unexpectedly, without telling me, to a fundraiser for a friend who lost so much at a coursing event last weekend. She had seen the fundraiser in a coursing Facebook group and donated before I was even aware it existed. And I am just so surprised and touched.

#I’m not entirely sure why this act in particular is hitting me so hard #I cried off and on all weekend for my friend and her loss and briefly discussed it with my mom #but I was so surprised to see her listed under donations on the gofundme #I never expected or asked for any of it (I’m so happy for all the support show don’t get me wrong)#I’m just constantly surprised I suppose bc of how contentious our relationship was when I was a teen

Please help he is just a little guy, he deserves to live a long and happy life, and my fiancé has already gone through so much between his transition and losing so many people he loves, he can’t afford to lose anyone else. even if you can’t donate please share, he needs the treatment badly.

Update!!

Groot is doing wonderful! I am in an extremely tough spot though. We’re going to have to adjust his chemo medication because we can’t afford the ecg he needs for them to feel safe giving him the rest of his doses.

We’re honestly okay switching to the other medication as it’s supposed to be less stressful on his heart. While still being a strong treatment option. The quote for that is $3k for the rest of those doses, with 4 other doses of different types with it. We’re estimating about $5k total. Which we just don’t have at this point. We have been denied for personal loans, CareCredit Card, Scratch Pay, Wells Fargo. My fiancée was approved for a $300 loan at 26.90% interest from Sunbit, which obviously isn’t worth it. We’ve reached out to every foundation we’ve seen, I’ve sent in to weratedogs, Paws4, BowWow and a few other ones I can’t remember the names of at the moment. We’ve all joined numerous Facebook groups to share. We’ve even gotten to a point where last week we asked long time neighbor/family friends (who are very well off) for the possibility of a loan with a notary and payment plan, they read the message and ignored us…we’ve never asked them for money (until last week for a loan).

So that’s it we’ve really exhausted what we can at this point. I’ve sold a few things but of course it’s not enough, the commissions have been super helpful though! Thank you so much! As well as thank you to everyone for sharing!! Shares help..I feel like we just need to get it into the right hands. Of course I’m still going to be doing commissions and selling what I can as well.

SO FOR ME:

I’ve had a super busy week, I apologize if I haven’t gotten back to anyone with comm updates yet! I’ve had an appointment almost everyday this week for my own medical issues. Then Groots chemo, and I was meant to have an important doctor appointment tomorrow, but it was rescheduled. There was a mass shooting about 45 minutes away from me, the suspect is still on the loose so businesses are locking doors, and rescheduling appointments. -My absolute condolences to the victims and I truly hope he’s found soon.

I had electro current therapy AlphaStim on Monday and it ACTUALLY HELPED MY CHRONIC PAIN! Like surreal, I can do a couple in office visits that my insurance will cover. There’s an at home one Quell that I think would be life changing for me, but it’s $150 up front for the band and 2 replacement packs. Then it’s $25-50 a month per replacement pack. Which i obviously can��t afford while emptying everything to my name out on chemotherapy. (I would rather be in pain than let Groot down).

I appreciate the kindness and support/understanding right now! It’s a really tough time, especially after the hospital blow, and now hearing about the medication stuff. Gofundme in bio and on my profile as always, no pressure to anyone! Times are hard all around and I don’t want anyone exerting themselves for me.

So my Poppy isn’t from Philly. Wanna know how I know?

I asked her if she was thirsty. Maybe she wanted more to drink.

I said,

“Poppy you want some water? Come drink some water.” And she just looked at me.

If you’re not from Philly, you wouldn’t know you have been pronouncing the word water wrong all your life. Philadelphians will be on you to correct you for your pronunciation *real quick*. Wah-ter? What’s that ish? It’s WOODER. Always has been, always will be.

Apparently over the last year I have had her, I never asked her a question about water and expected an answer or an acknowledgment. But no. Poppy is a WAH-ter cat. I repeated the phrase a few more times, using it incorrectly, and she finally got up and drank some water.

How do I untrain my cat from that word. She needs to know the real word. Not some made up ish.

This jawn needs to be retaught, real quick. Wahter. 🙄🙄🤨🤬 Not in my house.

Also please check previous posts for links and ways to donate to help Poppy with her treatment after her tests. Her transfusion went wrong, then her biopsy went wrong, we got back the FeLV test from the bone marrow today and that’s negative, but I don’t know if that’s good or bad. Good because it’s a bad diagnosis, but bad because it’s eliminating an illness we could have worked with.

“My front upper left incisor broke, and the only real option I have to replace it will run me over $5,300. At my current job, that’s about 2 months worth of my income. Insurance is only covering about $280.

Here’s the story:

About 10 years ago, I got into a nasty bike accident. This accident cause me to lose parts of my front upper incisors, which were replaced with crowns originally. Unfortunately, the nerve in one of those teeth died, and the tooth has been deteriorating from the inside ever since. Sunday, March 29th, that tooth cracked at the base of the gums and is basically just flopping around now. The dentists say because the tooth and it’s roots are in such bad shape, the only viable option would be to remove it entirely and replace it with an implant. This is unfortunately a very expensive process that I can’t entirely afford at the moment, so I’m reaching out for some assistance. At this point literally anything helps ease the cost of these bills, so I appreciate whatever you can spare.

To do this we’ve cut out all possible overhead costs to ensure we can feed as many people as possible

Hi all, I am posting on behalf of my beloved friend's acquaintance, who is doing a gofundme to help her two surviving sisters; Both of whom are gravely injured. This is a gofundme to help two women leave Gaza and enter Egypt to receive necessary medical attention.

I have a platform here on tumblr with a stable following, and it would be incredible if we could somehow get this page to trend, because rn, They need 30k euro to both leave Gaza and receive treatment in Egypt, and as of January 6, 2024 the donations have only amounted to 400 or so euro.

Perhaps the funniest thing that could have happened lately was that this anticapitalist cafe and community space near my place was shutting down near the end of May - but because so many Texas and Florida conservatives celebrated it online, the place got a huge donation to keep operating

It's a great place. It functions mostly like a regular cafe but it has this free/pay what you want drip coffee for anyone who wants it, free bathroom use, and it stocks indie merch and books on antifascist, queer, leftist, socialist, indigenous topics. I've met a lot of awesome people there.

Its very existence enrages conservatives, and anarchocapitalists who tried to claim it only to be shown the middle finger by its anticapitalist owner, who is an all around nice dude (and a fellow Elden Ring fan)

If you can toss a coin to its continued operation, please do! Upon request from their followers on insta they opened a Gofundme. Even just a few dollars will be a huge help.

alright so

we really fucking hate doing this, especially since we were already begging for money with another gofundme just a few months ago, but things cannot stop getting worse in our household. our mom is borderline having a psychotic episode everyday, and she thinks she has parasites that only she can see. she is trying to extort us into forcing us to stay in a house she knows damn well why we hate it here. she also threw a dog over a hotel railing during a PSTD episode she had while she ran away from the house because she said we didn't love her anymore. our grandma is an abusive maniac who screams at us until we're in tears, and holds keeping our pet rabbit over our head. she has caused us so much pain, and even has invited our dad who sent us to a mental hospital to our graduation. our grandpa is a qanon psychopath(so is our grandma) who keeps trying to convert us back into christianity.

this place has broken our mind over 400 times, and we want out so so so so so so bad

so, we are doing this one final time. we are going to try and get the money for a car to get the fuck out of here and go to the college we got accepted to. we're making a new gofundme so we can properly keep track of the money from this

We are in the sixth month of the war, under bombardment, hunger, and siege. My wife and I decided to evacuate to Egypt. The campaign I launched two months ago on GoFundMe aimed to rebuild our house. Unfortunately, it did not succeed much, but I will continue with it, but the priority now is my new campaign on PayPal.
