what’s my favorite character progression in supernatural, you ask? Oh, you didn’t? Well that’s tough because I’m going to tell you anyway.

Castiel learning human emotions. How to express his feelings without speaking. Raising eyebrows and dropping his jaw in surprise/shock. Furrowing his eyebrows and tilting his head in confusion. Crossing his arms and scowling when he is angry or doesn’t approve of an act. Big round puppy dog eyes to show his love, affection, and sorrow. Laughing and smiling when he feels joyous. Rubbing his face in exasperation and annoyance.

Watching Castiel express emotion for the first time and learn that it’s okay after millenniums of robotic obedience. That will always be my favorite part of his character because you can see when he starts to feel, starts to care, and starts to love.

The Purge is one of supernaturals most interesting episodes fr. The poignant look at dean and Sam’s relationship is nearly unmatched tbh. We see Dean for what he is, and how Sam himself has taken the fact that Dean superseded his wishes and allowed gadreel to take over his body and mind. Sam’s hurt and need to tone down the relationship to “just business” is incredibly warranted. It’s a sad thing that we continue to see Deans self destructive tendencies and fear of being alone leave him mostly incapable of growth in that area, even in later seasons.

I also find it sad that Sam continues to be in the shadow of Deans own pedestal that he has for Sam. He is the end all be all for Dean, and that can cause Sam a lot of hurt.

Why is it that neurodivergence is so rarely written in fanfics? It’s so surprising to me because a large amount of people in fandoms are, in fact, neurodivergent and have the fandom as a special interests and hyperfixations.

Personally, a lot of my oc’s are neurodivergent. Either confirmed or just coded because I usually, at some level, write about my own experiences. Besides, writing about neurodivergent oc’s are fun and much more easy to relate to — no matter if it’s canon or just coded.

I miss OG Death, I like Billy and all, but OG Death was amazing. His intro was incredible, and he also seemed pretty normal. Like I would not describe him as a villain or a bad guy, he was very up front and honest, and he got Sam's soul back even though Dean didn't keep the ring on. And he told Dean the consequences of putting Sam's soul back, and put that wall up. Like Death was honestly a fucking protagonist, why would they kill him.

He had so much potential for being a huge story point, being a huge part of the show. "Eventually, I'll reap God too." Like why would you kill a character that had said something like that? And he just gets stabbed a little. I hope he faked his death and is just sittin' on some beach somewhere eating nachos. That's going in my headcanon notebook.

Just, how are you going to introduce a character that's a natural order of life, and is logical and, like I've said before, will genuinely not fuck you over if he doesn't have a reason to.

He's been there since the beginning of time, might be older than God, and he's set up as an unkillable pillar of the universe. He's such a cool character, kind of the only being that genuinely intimidated Dean, he knows how the universe functions, he knows the true stories of God, Amara, Cain, Abel, Lucifer, EVERYTHING, like he could have been so important.

He could have been so INCREDIBLE in the final season. He has all of this power, he gets Sam's soul like its nothing, there's not even a storyline about him getting it, like him needing Dean to get him something or whatever, he just strolls on in and grabs it. And the way it just skips to him putting it back into Sam, it gives me the sense that it was indeed incredibly easy for him.

Plus, he has the power to put a fucking wall between the memories of the soul and the brain??? Like that's such a powerful thing, and it has nothing to do with death, which I think shows how much power he holds. Like if his whole thing was just death, he would seem like a much weaker being, like a sub category, but he's not. He's also part of the buildup to my favorite episodes, s7 e1+2.

God created everything, he made Lucifer, the angels, the world, everything. Except Amara, and I'd assume Death since neither of them know if the other is older or not. Death co-existed with him, whereas everything else is made by God.

I don't know, I just think the idea of Death being a part of the natural world, and how it functions, and him being a very logical being and straight-forward and blunt, being honest with Dean about not seeing him as that important but still not thinking of humankind as something to be played with like a toy, like the angels do, and God, I just think his role in the universe and his personality is poetic almost.

It's beautiful, he's how I imagine gods to be in our world. He is death personified. And death isn't evil, it's scary, sure. It's intimidating, but there's a beauty behind it, you're returning to the world, there's peace in death. You're part of the life cycle, and you're going to feed the earth, the mushrooms are going to break you down into nutrients for themselves and the ground, and you're apart of the ecosystem again.

This got so serious and poetic and shit and I did not mean to get to where I am. Anyway, Supernatural shouldn't have killed Death, and Julian Richings seems like an adorable wholesome little guy. Plus he's in a movie with Rhys Darby, and I automatically trust anyone associated with that man.

as much shit as i talk about the ending… dean shouldve died, and im glad he did. yeah he had the job application, the dog, and sam but WE KNOW that there is no happy ending for dean without cas. as hard as he tried to fight it i think dean was depressed and when he had the opportunity to go out on a hunt, saving people, guns blazing, can we really blame him for it?

also it’s so… right. that sam was the only one left alive. from the beginning of supernatural it was sams story. it was, even if he didn’t become THE fan favorite, and even if a lot of plot between the kripke era and the finale wasn’t centered solely around him, it was primarily his story. his demon blood, him saying yes to lucifer, him trapping him, letting him out, blah blah. it just feels right that he’s the one that had to look at the broken pieces left behind, and move on from it.

Also love Paris Hilton and Snooki's guest appearances I am an early 2000's reality tv whore, and I just love Paris dearly<3 (she follows me on TikTok and has had multiple interactions w me on tt and I have never been able to get over that.) also if u r upset I didnt add Cas its bc he is above your average side character in my heart<3 ... I want, for once. One SINGULAR time for someone to bring up dean's porn addiction. Because it was there and it was bad. And it's very not okay how I've seen people baby it.

He's not a horny teenager. He's a not a middle schooler who found dad's playboy.

He is a grown man who regularly had

ONLY porn tabs open and playing on his computer

Had his best friend but him a porn magazine (this is not normal, if people are asking you to buy them porn, that person has a problem)

Recognized atleast 1 very not popular pornstar by name

And this is not by any means a complete list.

His issue was so bad that Sam was so desensitized to it that he brought it up with Jody, and forgive me for over reacting, but I wouldn't even be able to say the word porn around a mother figure without shuttering, let alone joke about my brother watching it.

This absolutely isn't some 'Dean is an awful person and a misogynist' rant, I'm just frustrated that people act like this didn't happen

Anyways.. I think I’m normal now

Self care is having a little cry when your headcanon—(I call it that because I haven’t looked to see if it’s confirmed in any way at all)

that Sam used to be selectively ignored by his father and Dean when he used to rave and rant about his favorite subjects or things he was just passionate about which affected him a lot,

Is unintentionally emphasized when, in watching the Third Man episode, Cas ignores Sam’s prayer for Dean’s even though he didn’t come FOR Dean. This implies he has Sam ignored/blocked somehow most likely because he prays everyday which I imagine hits that memory of talking to the brick wall that is his Dad about something he loves and referencing it later only for his dad to be confused like he wasn’t listening again.

I’m sure Cas also stopped ignoring/blocking Sam when he lessened the amount he prays because of that moment. Which is why he comes instantly in the Ark of the Covenant lie.

Dads on a hunting trip and he hasn't been home in a few days

So just chronologically speaking, cuz that's the only way I know how to start this -

A extremely brief summary: Sam grew up in this horrible traumatic life, a life he had since infancy and that he very openly hated. He had even run away at least once

He worked really hard and he got into Stanford. When he chose to go his father I believe said something along the lines of "if you go to Stanford never talk to us again, you're dead to me"

So of course he went to Stanford. Not only was it his dream and opportunity to get out of this life in a way that was profound and idealic to him, but also, f*** you John.

Then at Stanford, he has a wonderful girlfriend, he's doing well in classes, and then, one night, his brother breaks into his apartment and kinda almost tries to beat him up? And also flirts with his girlfriend which makes both her & sam uncomfortable

He's told "Dad is in trouble we need to make sure he's not being tortured or murdered"

So, he has to "temporarily" leave this life, a life that(for the first time) is built of choices that he himself made.

He has to leave this life so that he can go help John. The last time he interacted with his dad was years ago when his dad told him "how dare you want to be happy and be your own person". He is put in a situation where he has to lie to his girlfriend & go put himself in danger to help his abusive father.

always these ppl telling me that dean wanted to go out on a hunt bc he said so mimimi and asking me if I've even seen the show like- HAVE YOU SEEN IT if you think Dean ‘I swallow my feelings until I choke on them’ Winchester actually means that he wants to die on the job just bc he said so? if you saw it I guess you don't bother looking into the psyche behind a character and just take them by their word bc oh no complexity that's too complicated let's just ignore this character’s whole point of what makes him special and let's chop him down to a boring one-dimensional piece of meat:)

but no ofc Dean wanted to die on a meaningless hunt after being bullied and drilled and brainwashed into the life so badly he couldn't even imagine a way out ofc he wanted to be plagued by toxic masculinity, internalized homophobia and self-esteem issues that make him unable to admit to himself that he wants a different path bc wanting to get out is wrong and he doesn't deserve more anyway and there's nothing better than giving your everything to the hunt including your life so don't you ever question it dean don't you dare grasp for something better good things don't happen and they certainly don't happen to you so HOW could you ever admit out loud that you want them anyway, stupidly, selfishly, how could you dare even think about it- better not, there'd be no point, why think about what you can't have, it'd be too painful, better tell everyone you're happy with the path that you've been chained to, maybe someday if you just say it often enough you'll actually believe it yourself. But yeah. Dean totally actually wanted to go out on a hunt. uhuh. HAVE I SEEN THE SHOW- honey I've seen deeper than the actual show but apparently you’ve just seen the screen

Sibling Banter between the archangels (and maybe some fights)

More happy Jack being a normal kid

More scenes between Gabe and Cas

The bunker needs a dog/cat or an emotional support parrot like wtf guys get your shit together

Expand your monster friend list like seriously guys, of all the badass entities in the series you only befriend an angel, a nephilim, some demons, and a vampire? (and maybe a shapeshifter if you count the therapist) You can do better than that.

Exploring other universes besides Apoc. world and The Bad Place

The boys doing something that doesn’t involve hunting for once (go play catch with Jack in the park, get out of the bunker)

It was a terrible, TERRIBLE idea to rewatch 15x20 and not just fucking ignore it. I’m not going to recover for day, BUT MY SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW SO I HAVE TO RECOVER TO TOMORROW.

I want to keep watching SPN just because of Jensen's acting... However after all the spoilers, fanfics being better than the original work and all, I really don't fell like it, dispise now technically making part of the fandom. Maybe one day my flesh will fall to the temptation and I will continue and end up watching everything and end up with depression stage 40000. Whoever while this does not happen...
