I know I JUST changed my theme yesterday but this one is even better so like. Bleez hours ig 😈
#I LOVE HER-#anyways this comic actually does her GOOD (for like 1 issue) and so im just !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#blah#im literally consumed with feels for/abt her today omg#literally plotted out a 6 issue mini for her during econ today (featuring simon and guy ofc)#where she defeats (not kills!!! i have a creative solution!) Atrocitus and kills basically all the remaining RLs (not dexstarr though)#and kind of goes solo with it as a different kind of RL#which could ofc expand into a 12 issus limited series bc i leave the strand of some missing red rings going (that she has to track down)#and honestly id have ideas for some issues from an ongoing too (most crossovers)#like for example bc my redesign of her kind of has hawkgirl vibes she should get to team up w kendra (in a 2parter w p1 called two birds...?#and p2 as one stone!) and then OFC some supergirl stuff bc of them being friends during the red daughter arc AND smth with yrra as well#bc that was literally the only good bleez moment before the writer change in nu52 rls#and also they would have SO much to talk abt re: anger and loss of autonomy#and then ofc mandatory crossover with my green lantern book#: )))))))))))))) feeling happy thinking abt the comics i would write if dc hired me#im sooooooooo tenpted to try and draw covers for this now#it would have to be for the later issues though bc the issue 1 cover would be kind of boring tbh#bc shes still in her old suit for continuitys sake and the plot would make it look similar to some shitty rl covers honestly#BUT THATS HOW I WOULD GET THEM. i trick the dudebros so they think its only hot alien lady stuff but then they look inside and bam!#increased agency for female characters!!!!! and redesigns!!!!! and friendship!!!! but also ANGER!!!!!!! and JUSTICE!!!#i just 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍#thinking abt comics is sooooooooo fun mwah i love it

There are so many good ones in the 100 dialogue writing prompts!
But I'll choose: 67. "What if we make a deal?" For supercorp if you will!
I love your writing so much! And hope you have a brilliant day😘
(Angst ahead, with a hopeful end)
“What if we make a deal?”
Kara turned round slowly, back pressing against the balcony balustrade as she watched Lena approach tentatively.  “What kind of deal?”
“With clear terms, if I do X that means Y. We can have a standard deal in place when you need my assistance.” Lena explained, clasping her hands in front of herself, pale skin glowing as she was backlit by the bright glow of monitors through the window. “I gain access to the tower’s laboratory and it’s resources, provide consultancy on the approach to dealing with the alien but no vote in how it is handled unless I provide a key element then I get an equal stake vote to the other Superfriend team members.”
Kara’s gaze narrowed as she accused, “You want to turn ‘helping’ into a transaction?”
There was a flicker of hurt that flashed through green eyes but Lena blinked it away quickly enough, expression returning to the blank one she sported whenever she was called upon to assist Supergirll and her team. “No.” Lena said simply, the syllable shaking under the weight of all the emotion it was holding back. “I want to help. But I don’t know the parameters that I’m allowed to operate in.”
“Look,” Kara’s jaw clenched, stomach swirling with regret and shame, head dipping low, “I know things are awkward-“
“Awkward is an understatement.” Lena corrected, with a harsh chuckle that Kara didn’t bother to deny. “I feel actively unwelcome, Kara. I try to help and give an opinion and I am met with silence and you actively choosing the option in opposition to mine.”
Kara shifted her weight from foot to foot, “I just don’t agree with you.”
“No, you just don’t want to.”
“That’s not-“
Lena’s expression hardened for the first time then, a flash of Luthor might that she had buried since coming to Kara with an apology and a request for aid with her brother. “I know you were all for using a containment method rather than risking Alex’s chemical compound on that last alien until I put forward a way to do that. Then you switched because I suggested it.”
Kara winced, wanting to argue back and deny the accusation but she was trying to get better with the instinct to lie to Lena - an ingrained reaction that initially grew from a place of sincere good intentions but became twisted with each betrayal on either side.
“This isn’t working because you don’t trust me.” Lena said, shaking her head mournfully, “And I… I understand that. So… let’s remove trust from the equation.”
“With a deal.” Kara guessed.
“Exactly. With parameters and terms and conditions.” Lena asserted, taking a shy step closer - Kara leaned ever so slightly further back over the balustrade, prompting Lena to shuffle backwards in response. “You know what lines I have to operate in and I don't need to tread on eggshells since I know what I’m allowed to do and what the response to my actions will be.”
Kara sighed, glancing away and staring out over the city skyline as she admitted, “I don’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”
She knew how difficult it was for Lena, knew that when she came to the tower everyone stayed away - a bubble of distance to keep her isolated, knew that Lena pre-emptively flinched when offering a countering opinion because she knew it would be met by Kara instantly digging in her heels. Brainy and Kelly bridged the gap, doing what they could to keep the tension low and make it so Lena wasn’t without any allies. Kara knew that Lena was doing them a favour by jumping to their aid, and the least they should do was recognise that. .
“Yes, you do.” Lena whispered, shattering the rose-tinted glasses Kara had tried to wear. “I know because I was doing it not long ago and you’re doing it for the same reason I did.”
“Which is?”
“I hurt you and seeing me hurts all over again.”
Kara absorbed this, her heart shriveling up into something tiny as if by being smaller it couldn’t contain as much hurt and love as it currently did. She cleared her throat, finally looking back to her once best friend, “And this will help?”
“I don’t know.” Lena confessed. “But it’s different and right now it’s all I have. If it doesn’t…” She paused, gaze going far away as she considered her options before saying, “I’ll go.”
“Go? Go where?” Kara asked, the sharp tang of adrenaline and fear flooding her system.
“Away from here. Away from you.” Lena murmured, and Kara could see Lena’s throat bob as she swallowed back a lump of emotion. “I know I’ve done wrong but I don’t think I should make myself miserable as penitence…” Lena’s brow furrowed and she added in a mutter, “at least that’s what Kelly said. And you don’t deserve to be miserable either.”
Kara’s hands shifted to her hips, fingers digging in tightly, her head feeling suddenly light like she was floating above all this - she was instead watching the events play out, a version of the future where Lena wasn’t there at all.
“Okay, then let’s make a deal.” Kara said quickly, words spilling out in an eager bid to extinguish the nightmarish vision she was seeing.
Lena looked surprised but didn’t question Kara’s decision, “I will draft a contract and send it to you for editing?”
“Okay.” Kara breathed, turning away and back to the city, unable to bear watching Lena leave. She could hear Lena’s heartbeat, and knew Lena waited a couple of seconds before making her move. “Lena?” Kara called out before she had a chance to stop herself.
“Yes?” Lena replied, her heartbeat rising in tempo to match the pounding beat of Kara’s own.
Kara licked her lips, eyes slipping closed as she whispered, “You leaving would make me miserable too.”

Love your work! Would you write Rebecca X Female!Reader , where she's working as an assistant coach or something clever but R is very shy and introverted ( Ted is like a father figure ). But when on the pitch next to Ted, R is a complete opposite . Rebecca is intrigued ? She's also protective of R, enjoys having her and Keeley in the office , maybe flirty . Reader is like Kara Danvers from Supergirl ☺️
Thank you SO much!!!💕💕
And I love this so much! Thank you for the request! I hope you like it!!💕
A/n: I don't know anything about Kara Danvers or Supergirl so I'm sorry if I don't hit the mark on that😅😂

When Rebecca first hired you as an assistant coach, she didn't think too much of you. Your references were good, you knew the game better than most people she's met, you were quiet, nice, very girl next door type. Even though she wasn't sure how well you'd fit in with the rest of the managers given they were all pretty outgoing men, she took a chance and it paid off.
Whenever there was a meeting Rebecca noticed that you only ever spoke when spoken to. You were quiet but thorough with your analyses, strategies and had great opinions.
For whatever reason, Keeley immediately took a liking to you and started dragging you into Rebecca's office for "girl talk." For the most part, you just listened, only giving your opinion on things when you were asked. Rebecca was curious how someone so quiet was such a great coach to a particularly rowdy team. But she admired your softness, she loved hearing you laugh and when you spoke, she hung onto every word you said. She's been pretty busy since you were hired and she wasn't able to watch you during trainings so she really had no idea how you operated on the pitch.
Finally, Rebecca found a free afternoon to finally observe training before the first match of the season. She quietly made her way out into the stands and took a seat, her eyes trained on you.
Before training that morning, Coach Lasso asked the group what you all thought the team should focus on today. Piping up, you suggested that the team should work on the finer details of their footwork. Of course it was important to learn new plays, perfect the ones they already knew, but you felt like the boys needed a refresher on the basics.
Coaches Lasso, Beard, Roy and your other assistant manager, Nate, all paused for a moment before agreeing. The boys' footwork had become a bit sloppy, messing up passes, missing goals, all because they weren't kicking the ball with the precision they should be.
Ted and the rest of the guys all agreed and even let you take the reigns for training for the day. It wasn't something you'd done before here at Richmond, but you were really excited to finally show everyone why you deserve to be here.
Rebecca watched as the boys ran a basic play, unsure why you all decided to run such a simple play, but she kept watching to see what happens.
Colin passes the ball over to Sam and even though it looked like a solid pass, Colin wasn't using the proper technique, something Rebecca wasn't paying attention to, but you definitely were.
As soon as Sam got the ball you blew your whistle and everyone stopped.
"COLIN!" You scream across the pitch. "DO I HAVE TO CALL ROY'S NIECE TO COME OVER HERE AND TEACH YOU HOW TO KICK THE BALL?"
The managers all held back a laugh, Roy and Beard smirking with approval, and the rest of the team busted out into laughter. Rebecca on the other hand, was in shock. The sweet, quiet girl she'd gotten to know was replaced by an assertive, confident coach, a side of you she didn't even know existed. She was even more enamored with you now than she ever was before.
"Oh come on coach! It was a fine pass!" He argued.
"'Fine' won't win the whole damn thing! If you want to be 'fine' then drop down to the lower levels of the league!"
The teams laughter fades and a few of the guys whistle and you hear a few mutter "oh shit".
"Run it again!" You say, blowing the whistle again.
"Fuckin' cunt." Colin murmurs under his breath.
The boys reset and start the play over, Colin gets the ball and passes it to Sam again with a perfect execution, giving Sam the opportunity to sink the ball right into the net.
"There we go! That's what I'm talking about!" You yell before blowing your whistle.
Walking out onto the pitch you walk up to Colin and pat him on the back.
"That was perfect! Did you feel how you had way more control when you connected with the ball this time?" You say as you imitate kicking a ball.
"Yes coach, I see what you mean."
"Good! Because when you hit it just right, you don't have to worry about trying to control where the ball is gonna go, you can focus on putting as much or as little power behind the kick to get it to your teammate. Just like you did with Sam, the ball got to him faster and he was able to sink that puppy straight into the net before the other team knew what hit 'em!"
Colin nods at you and you give him another pat on the shoulder before you turn away. Walking back over to the coaches, you see Rebecca sitting in the stands watching. A blush creeps across your cheeks as you give her a little wave and she waves back. You can't read her face, you're not sure if she's impressed, indifferent or unhappy with your coaching style. As training continues you try not to focus on Rebecca and direct your attention to the boys on the field.
Rebecca watches you as training continues. She sees Ted wrap his arm around your shoulder for a moment and says something to you. He spoke too quietly and she's sitting too far away to hear what he said, but she notices you relax a little before he pulls his arm away.
When training was finally over, you all head back inside, Rebecca had left at some point, although you're not sure when. In your office, you're going over a few new plays you've come up with, seeing which player would best fit each position.
"Well howdy there boss!" You hear Ted say as the sound of heels clicking across the floor enters the office. "What'd ya think of today's trainin'?"
"I must admit I was quite impressed." She says.
Looking over your shoulder, you see Rebecca lean up against the door connecting your and Ted's offices.
"Y/n, I almost couldn't believe that was you out there." She says playfully.
The blush creeps up again and you let out a nervous giggle.
"Oh, yeah, thank you."
Rebecca raises and eyebrow at you and flashes you a smile.
"Come up to my office after work, Keeley and I are going to be spending some time up there today."
"Oh? Yeah, of course. Thanks for the invite."
Rebecca smiles at you again and walks out through the locker room.
"Colin, coach l/n really ripped you a new one out there." Isaac says.
"She was such a bitch! I kicked the ball perfect the first time." Colin responds, visibly annoyed.
"I would show your coaches some more respect if I were you, Mr. Hughes." Rebecca says with daggers in her eyes.
"Oh, Ms. Welton, yes, of course, I'm so sorry." He says, obviously taken by surprise because he didn't see her there.
"Even I could tell that first kick was utter garbage." She says before walking away.
Could she really tell? No, absolutely not. But Rebecca knew what you were doing and trusted you. She also was not about to let the players trash talk their coach, especially the only female coach. That was not going to fly in her locker room.
After work you head up to Rebecca's office to find her sitting on the couch with Keeley.
"Y/n! I'm glad you came!" Rebecca says, her face lighting up a little when she sees you.
"Of course, thanks for the invite." You reply with a soft smile.
"Come in, come take a seat," Rebecca moves closer to Keeley, opening up a spot next to her. "would you like a glass of wine?"
"I would love one, thank you."
Rebecca hands you a glass after you sit down and you take a sip, your eyes flickering between the two women.
"I have to say, I'm still shocked that that was you out on the pitch this afternoon." Rebecca says as she takes a sip.
"What happened on the pitch?!" Keeley asks.
"Our sweet, quiet little y/n became this loud, assertive coach. Those boys listened to her as well as they listen to Roy."
"No shit! So you're like an entirely different person when you coach?"
"Um, I guess." You say, the blush returning once again.
"She absolutely does." Rebecca says. "I was impressed, really."
For some reason, that took you by surprise. You didn't think you could ever do anything to impress Rebecca.
"Really?"
"Absolutely, the way you commanded the team was incredible."
"Oh my god I bet it was so hot watching you get all assertive like that!" Keeley says, causing your blush to deepen.
"I don't know about that." You mumble.
Rebecca shrugs a little and smiles at you and you take another sip of wine.
As the night progresses, the three of you talk, laugh and genuinely enjoy each others company. The wine loosened you up a bit and you're talking a little more freely than you usually do. Something that both Rebecca and Keeley seem to be happy about.
"Oh! I wanted to ask you y/n, what did Ted say to you on the pitch this afternoon?" Rebecca asks.
"When?"
"After you yelled at Colin, he put his arm around you and said something to you."
"Oh," you say, blushing once again. "he just said that I was doing a really good job and that he was proud of me."
"Aw I love Ted!" Keeley says. "He's such a sweetheart."
"He's a really good guy, it's nice to have someone so supportive on the pitch."
"I can imagine! It must be tough being the only chick out there."
"It's not too bad, I mean sometimes the guys say shit but I don't let it get to me."
Rebecca stiffens when she hears you say that the team makes comments to her. She doesn't even realize it but her grip on her wine glass tightens.
"What do they say to you?" Rebecca asks.
"Honestly I don't really pay attention, sometimes they're just teasing me, sometimes they like, pretend hit on me, say stupid things. The usual things that immature athletes usually say."
"That is absolutely unacceptable." Rebecca says, her tone growing more serious.
"It's okay really-"
"No it's not, you're their manager, they should respect you just as much as they respect the other managers."
"I guess." You say, shrugging.
"No, no, they absolutely should. And if it continues there will be hell to pay."
"Rebecca, really-"
"No babes she's right," Keeley chimes in. "you absolutely deserve the same amount of respect that the other coaches get and it's some sexist bullshit that you're not getting it."
Coming to terms with the fact that this is absolutely a losing battle, you smile at the two women.
"Thanks guys, I really appreciate it."
Rebecca wraps her arm around your shoulders and pulls you into her. The moment her skin touches yours your heartbeat quickens. AS she pulls you closer you're engulfed in her perfume. It's a beautiful, no doubt expensive, scent. It automatically relaxes you even though your heart still feels like its beating out of your chest. You look up at Rebecca and she looks down at you and smiles. Immediately her gorgeous green eyes captivate you and you get lost in them for a moment. Opening your mouth to speak, you realize your throat has gone dry so you grab your wine glass and take a sip.
"We got your back babes!" Keeley says.
"We absolutely do." Rebecca says, smiling down at you.
Later that night you lay in bed unable to fall asleep. The moment Rebecca wrapped her arm around you replays over and over again on a loop. You've never felt like that before and you can't figure out why. Was it because she's your boss? Not really. How about because she saw you in your coach mode earlier? Nah. What the hell made you so nervous in such a pretty woman's arms!
Right after that thought passed through your mind it hit you. You liked Rebecca, a lot. Way more than you ever thought or would have admitted to yourself.
Shit. You had a crush on your boss.
The next morning Rebecca calls a meeting with all of the coaches and the team. Everyone gathers in the conference room and you sit in one of the chairs, fidgeting nervously because you think you know why you're all here.
"Good morning everyone, I'm sure you're all wondering why I called this meeting this morning."
"Colin I told ya, you gotta use soap when ya shower mate!" Jamie says, making the entire team laugh.
Rebecca glares at Jamie and he shrinks back in his seat.
"Sorry Ms. Welton." He mumbles.
"It was recently brought to my attention that one of the managers here has not been given the same amount of respect as the others. Something that I witnessed myself in the locker room yesterday." She says, staring daggers at Colin, who also shrinks into his seat. "Every manager on this team, assistant or otherwise, deserves your respect and I will not tolerate anyone on this team disrespecting them in any way. If I find out that any one of you are making fun of, ostracizing or disrespecting any of the coaches on this team you will be benched for the first five games." The team takes a collective breath in, they're all a little intimidated by Rebecca and they don't take her threats lightly. "Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes Ms. Welton." They say in unison.
"Wonderful, now unless anyone has any questions or concerns, you all are dismissed."
Ted turns to you and the other coaches, a confused look on his face.
"What the heck was all of that about?"
The coaches shrug their shoulders and you stay silent. The guys on the team have never said anything in front of the other coaches so you're not surprised that they didn't know they weren't treating you all that nicely.
Everyone leaves the conference room and you head to your office. The day goes by pretty quickly and the threats Rebecca made seem to have stuck because the boys are giving you less attitude than they normally do. When the day is finally over you make your way up to Rebecca's office to thank her for putting her foot down.
You knock on the door and hear her on the other side.
"Come in!" When she see's you after you open the door, her face lights up again. "Oh! Y/n! What a wonderful surprise." She says with a smile, closing her laptop. "Please, sit." She gestures to the chair in front of her desk.
You take a seat and drink her in for a quick moment. Her hair is pulled back elegantly so you can see every beautiful feature of her face. Her green button down shirt, that's showing off her perfect breasts just enough to tease you, makes her eyes pop. If you could, you would sit here all night and just look at her.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" She asks with a smile.
"I just wanted to thank you, for earlier today."
"Oh you don't have to thank me! It's absolutely unacceptable to disrespect the people that rank higher than you. I wish you had told me sooner, I'm so sorry you've been dealing with that for so long." Her green eyes look sad, not like the pitied you, but sad that you've been treated like shit from your players.
"Yeah, I just tend to take things as they are. I don't like making waves."
"Well if anything like this ever happens again, I hope you do."
"Thank you, I will."
"I was surprised that Ted and the other coaches didn't even know. They can usually pick up on those things quickly."
"Yeah, the guys were pretty discrete when it came to them insulting me or something."
"Did you tell anyone? Like a boyfriend or-"
"Oh no, I don't have a boyfriend."
"Oh?"
"I'm not really, into guys so much." You say as you feel your cheeks starting to get warm.
"Oh." Rebecca says, almost surprised.
"I'm guessing you weren't expecting that." You say with a laugh.
"Uh, no, honestly, I was not." She also says with a laugh.
"I mean, come on, I'm a football coach for a men's team, it's kinda obvious."
"Well when you put it like that!" The two of you laugh for a minute.
Her laugh is amazing, it fills your chest with so much joy. If you could have it played on repeat for hours, you would.
"Anyway, thank you again for doing that, it means a lot."
"Of course, I can't let my staff, no less my favorite employee, be harassed by the team."
"Aw, thanks." You say, smiling at her. "I'll let you go-"
"I was just about to leave, walk with me to the carpark?"
"Of course."
The two of you walk out of the building and into the carpark in a comfortable silence. The sky is dark and there's only a few cars left, including her driver and your car. Rebecca turns towards you and you mirror her action. She tucks a strand of hair behind your ear and gently cups your face. Without realizing it, you unconsciously lean into her hand, when you realize what you just did your eyes widen. Rebecca only smirks and her thumb caresses your cheek.
"If I wasn't your boss," She says softly, as if she's talking to herself while she's admiring you.
Her hand leaves your face and you grab hold of it with yours.
"Even if you are, I wouldn't mind." You say, just as softly, with a smile.
Rebecca looks at you with a bit of surprise in her eyes, she was never expecting you to say that. She's had the feeling that you had a crush on her for awhile now, long before you realized you did. And she's secretly been admiring you from afar.
The thought of dating an employee sounds so incredibly unprofessional to Rebecca. But at the same time, you're not just any employee.
"I must say, I'm torn on the matter." She says with a small smile.
"Well, give me a chance to ease your worries." You say with a confidence you haven't had in awhile.
Rebecca picks up on your sudden burst of confidence and a smile crosses her face.
"Alright then, Friday night, 7pm, I'll pick you up?"
"Perfect."
"It's a date."

Ace Reporter - part 4
Supergirl, Kara Danvers x Reader, Lena Luthor x Reader
Word Count: 2375.
Part 1. Part 2. Part 3.
Something brings you back from your trance. Probably the loud alarm saying that if you don't get out of this place in five minutes you're going to die. Five minutes is really not enough time to find the way out, so you run out of the bedroom and make your way to the other side to try and find the exit there.
You are met with a dead end, and on your way back you bump into Lena. She holds your arms to steady you. "Y/N! I'm glad I found you. Kara and I split up while looking for the exit."
"Dead end." You point to the hallway behind you.
Lena agrees with her head. Cleans the blood off your cheek before nodding to you, "I'm happy you're safe." She almost hugs you, but decides there are more pressing matters at the moment. "Let's find Kara and get out of here."
Lena holds your hand, guiding you to the direction you just left. That's when Kara appears in clear panic and points to another place, not wanting you to find her secret in that creepy room, unbeknownst of your current knowledge.
You do feel kind of safer knowing Supergirl is around. She said it herself, she won't let you get hurt for a story. She certainly won't let you explode just not to compromise her secret identity. Right? Right.
On your way out the three of you find the room with all Lex's hardcopies of clear wrongdoings. You grab everything you can see and get out of there less than a minute before the whole place explodes.
You make it back to National City, digging through papers, unraveling conspiracy theories and mazes of wickedness. Kara Danvers is snoring on the chair in front of yours, tired from keeping secrets and burning bridges. And Lena is also examining the documents in silence. When you can't read another word, you turn to her,
"Tough day, huh."
"Running into the atrocities my brother is responsible for, is not exactly a walk in the park for me."
Great fucking quote. Not on record, though.
"Sorry we didn't find him. Though I have to admit, I'd be a bit scared if we did."
"I don't blame you. I would have too." Lena smiles absently and a little bit too sincere. You can tell she immediately wishes to take it back. You're a journalist, after all.
"Well, you've dealt with all those Eve clones pretty well. I'm glad you and -" You stop yourself, looking at Kara. She is not sweet doofus Kara Danvers anymore. It's pretty much real to you that she literally is the strongest person on Earth and she could have ended all those clones in probably one blow.
Lena agrees with a nod, following your eyes. "She actually fights pretty decently, I didn't know that about Kara."
You furrow your brows, confused. "You didn't?"
"Honestly, no. I wonder where she was hiding all those moves."
"Yeah. And I wonder why." You whisper to yourself, staring at Kara. Is she really asleep? No way to know, she is such a good liar. She might actually be the greatest actor of all time. How else would she have kept this secret from her best friend for so long?
"Anyway, heard you need a quote from me to get back to Metropolis."
You take a deep breath, mostly annoyed with your editor for making you work so hard for a damn quote, but also kind of offended that all of your investigative skills and team work will be reduced to one scandalous quote from Lena Luthor. You literally uncovered a web of lies and terrible plans, but hey, that's not what he asked you for, so it probably won't even be used.
"I suppose it's what I came here for."
You grab your notebook next to you, waiting for her quote.
"Ready?" She asks and you nod your head, pen on the paper ready to write down whatever she says. "I think you're so much better than what the Daily Planet gives you credit for, and I believe CatCo is always in need of a fine reporter like you."
You stop writing, raising your head at her, confused. "What?"
"And I should know what CatCo needs, since I'm the owner."
"What?" How did you not know that, when it's precisely your job to know everything about the woman you came here to interview.
"And if offering you a job is not enough of a reason for you to consider staying in National City, I'd like to add that I, too, would like to have you closer." Lena's voice drops an octave and an eyebrow is raised. My God, she is sexy.
"With the risk of sounding like a broken record, what?"
Lena laughs, honest and carefree. Wrinkles under her eyes and it has to be one of the most beautiful things you've ever seen. "I'll let you consider it. If you decide not to stay, I'll give you the quote."
"Oh, ok." Your cheeks burn red. "Thanks, Lena."
When you finally make it to National City, Lena offers both of you a ride, but you and Kara decide to share an uber to your side of the town.
"We've uncovered some pretty sensible information on this trip to Kaznia." Kara says as soon as Lena gets inside her car. "And I know you must be dying to do an exposé-"
Does she know? Does Kara know what you saw in that weird bedroom? That you finally have put two and two together and noticed the obvious? Is she scared you're going to tell the world?
"But we have to be careful on how we're going to play this. If we blow the whistle on Lex, he could just go back to hiding and-"
"What?"
"Oh sorry, sometimes I talk too fast. I meant Lex and whoever is helping him inside the government. Obviously he had help to break aliens out of the DEO facility and-"
She doesn't know. Haven't got the faintest idea. Kara Danvers is here blabbing about Lex Luthor while you have this huge information about her. And about Clark.
"Oh my God Danvers, shut up." It's out of your mouth before you can stop it. Her eyes widen and you point to the car that just arrived. "I don't wanna talk about Lex, ok? I got hurt because of him, because of this damn crusade the Daily Planet put me through." You signal for the driver then slide inside the car. Kara follows you promptly. And with no amenities the driver just goes.
"Look, I know it was tough out there. But you did so well. You-you found this!" Kara is holding the documents so tight, like they would just fly out of her hands if she didn't.
"Yeah, and I also almost died for those stupid sheets of paper. I'm not Nancy Drew, ok?"
"You are!” You look at her in disbelief. “At least, you were out there!"
"Stop, ok? This means nothing to me! I'm not you, Danvers! I'm not ok with putting my life at risk for a fucking assignment. I really am not getting paid enough and I only have this one life."
"What are you talking about?" Kara asks and you raise your eyebrow at her as an answer, not wanting to share more. "What? You think I'm a cat with nine lives?"
You can't help a laugh that leaves your mouth. A very ironic one. Sour and hostile. It makes her wince at the sound.
"Damn, you really are the biggest dweeb I've ever seen."
She huffs, moving uncomfortably on the seat next to you. You ignore her, staring out the window. You don't even like National City that much, but you're honestly so glad to be here right now.
"I know you don't want to talk about it, but we're writing this together, aren't we? We have to decide on what can we expose and-"
"UGH." It's the only sound out of your mouth. You're so tired. You flew to Kaznia; the plane you were in almost crashed; you had to fight evil clones and you got beat up by one (which is rather embarrassing); you found out your work-colleague and your almost-nemesis' secret identities; and you also found out what the hell Lex is up to. You're exhausted. Right now, the only thing you want is to go back home, but stupid Kara Danvers won't shut up. "I wish Eve had punched your face instead of mine."
"WHAT?" Kara yells so loud, even the driver jumps in his seat. "Sorry, sorry." She apologizes to him, then turns back at you. "That's such a mean thing to say!"
"Why? It's not like you can feel anything." You roll your eyes, hand going to the cut on the side of your cheek that still burns.
"Of course I can feel things."
She's barely finished with her sentence and you're adding, "Oh my God, you let me get punched for nothing."
"I'm so confused right now."
"I KNOW, OK?" It's your time to yell, making the driver almost lose control of the car, and you have to hold yourself on Kara not to knock your head on the window. When the car finally stabilizes again, you continue. "I know you helped land the plane. I know you could've taken down all Eves by yourself. And I know about you and- and Clark." You stare deep into her eyes. "I know who you are."
Kara swallows deep, so loud you could hear it perfectly, and you're sure the driver could too. "Stop the car."
"Ma'am, we're in the middle of nowhere."
"Stop. The. Car." She repeats strongly, commanding. Must be her Supergirl voice. And the driver is not going to argue twice, so he does. He stops the car in the middle of fucking nowhere.
Kara pulls you by the hand and there's no fighting. Not when the strongest woman on the planet wants you out of the car, anyway.
So you stand there, with nothing but trees around while your ride home leaves you behind. You cross your arms and stare at her. God, you wish you were home. You wish you were never sent to this assignment. You wish you were never entangled in this mess with Kara Danvers. You wish you could just hate her from a distance instead from up close.
"How did you figure it out?"
"Well, you fighting all those clones with your bare hands was a pretty big tell. But what confirmed my suspicions was that weird altar they had for you there."
"You saw that too?"
"Yeah, it was pretty bizarre. I mean, who would have so many pictures of doofus Kara Danvers?"
"HEY! I'm not-" She huffs, unable to defend herself. "Whatever."
Kara walks from side to side, hands on the side of her head, clearly freaking out because you know her secret and she can't trust you. How could she? You're a random reporter who just came from Metropolis to find a story. And you did, you found the biggest one you could ever look for, and now you know the secret identity of two of the most powerful superheroes on the planet.
She finally breathes out all the weight off her shoulders, and comes closer, really close. So close she touches the cut on your cheek. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I let you get hurt." And you've known this woman for two weeks, but you know she means it. Can read it in her watery eyes. "I'm sorry I didn't realize how scared you were. I'm sorry I couldn't be Supergirl there."
"Because Lena doesn't know."
"Well, you weren't supposed to know either." She shrugs. Hands on your chin, eyes staring right at your soul. You dare to look at her lips, so close, so so close. Right there.
"Hey," You look back at her eyes and notice how scared she is. You know her secret, her biggest secret. You know a part of her not everyone knows. Not even her best friend! So you hold her free hand. "I promise your secret is safe with me. I know you have no reason to believe me. I mean, I didn't even like you until two days ago, so I understand the distrust. But this is a big thing. Bigger than whatever is between me and Kara Danvers. I would never put people's life at risk."
"Thank you." Kara gives your hand a little squeeze. "But what do you mean you didn't like me? I thought, I thought we were…"
"What? Friends?" A little smirk.
"Flirting." She admits and you gulp, taking your hand away from hers. She understands the signal so she lets go of your face too, but doesn't stop talking.  "I thought it was all flirting banter."
It was. She is right. But you just can't admit this to her, or anyone.
So you let a sharp and deceitful laugh out. "Oh please. Even on a good day, we're barely amicable."
Kara furrows her brows, looking like a lost puppy and when she opens her mouth to argue, you cut her off, not ready for this conversation at all.
"So, do we get another uber or is Supergirl flying me to my hotel room? I really need to lay down after all this."
"Yeah. Yeah." She won't raise her head or look you in the eyes, but still picks you up in bridal style. "Hold tight."
Kara starts flying and you can't help but to hold her with everything you have. You can't believe you just gave Kara Danvers the power to drop you from a very tall height. You venture a peek down and holy fucking shit you are way too high. If she drops you, you're dead for sure.
You hide your face in Kara's neck. Breathe her in, and oh God she smells so good even after almost exploding in Kaznia. Ugh. Your stomach is all in knots and you wish you could just rationalize this strangled feeling, but right now Kara Danvers/ Supergirl/ Whoever is carefully taking you home, might be the person you loathe the most. Or love. You can't decide.

Fanfic Writer Questions!
Thanks for the tag, @fazedlight and @thatonebirdwrites
1- How many works do you have on AO3?
I have 16
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
356,960
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Supergirl – Arrowverse/ DC Comics: Primarily Supercorp, secondarily Dansen, Brainia, and J’M’zz, and I have one AgentReign with secondary Supercorp.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
PRIDE and Prejudice – Super gay retelling of Jane Austen’s classic. Every kudos equals $1.00US to a LGBTQIA2S charity I make at the conclusion of Pride month (June) each year (teen)
Tell Me It’s Not Too Late – Post-S4, Lillian believes Supergirl is responsible for Lex’s death. Lena rushes to J’onn’s for game night, to confront Kara on her identity, only to find she’s nowhere to be found (teen)
I Believe in a Thing Called Love – Full alternate Season 6 rewrite (teen)
Wouldn’t It Be Nice – 50 First Dates movie AU (teen)
How Lost We Are – Lena is placed by her Witness Protection team (Maggie, Kelly, and Lucy) in Midvale as a flower shop owner where she meets teacher Kara and coffee/bookshop owner Jess, among others (mature)
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes, I do usually respond, though not always right away. I enjoy chatting about my fics, so don’t hesitate to ask questions, but I don’t give out spoilers though.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
When She’s Gone, the Darkness Comes – Oof. It was so sad I had to write a second chapter. I much prefer happy endings (teen)
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
All of them have a happy ending of some kind, or they will once they’re completed. Though there are some with happy endings like Speak Now and Tis the Damn Season. Smut. I’m talking about smut (explicit)
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Yeah, though I’ve been mostly lucky. I don’t know why people leave hate on any fics really. If you don’t like something, close the tab.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes. It started as a small scene here or there when it was a natural progression of the fic, but now I occasionally right full smut fics and pwp like those found here (explicit)
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Kind of, but the characters are all from within the Arrowverse/ DC Comics universes somewhere.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of. I don't understand why someone would do this. Please respect writers.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes. I Believe in a Thing Called Love is also in Spanish Creo en una cosa llamada amor (teen)
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I’m currently working on one with @thatonebirdwrites, though it's not published. It’s a Supercorp fic where Kara is a building inspector and when she goes to inspect Lena’s home, she meets Lena’s daughter to tells her the floor is lava, so naturally Kara has to ensure that issue gets resolved.
14. What's your all time favorite ship?
Supercorp. But I do love most wlw ships
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I intent to finish all of my active WIPs. I have some WIP ideas that may or may not ever get going, but once I start a fic, I intend to finish it.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I have no idea… I guess easter egg type stuff or like blending canon into storylines. If your a reader and there's something you think is a strength I have, let me know.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Actually writing. Words be hard. And it's hard to find the time.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I do it sometimes, probably not well. I like to include the translation in the fic (unless the characters themselves aren’t supposed to understand until later). But I'm sure the translations aren't fully right as I only use google translate and the Kryptonian dictionary.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Supercorp. I started writing fiction in Dec 2020. Before that it was all scientific research papers for uni.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
I suppose What Has Been Lost (Mature). It was what started this crazy adventure, has been the most challenging piece, and my longest (still ongoing). It truly blends lore and characters from across the Arrowverse and DC Comics into a human world and original storyline.

i really wanna know your ideal dc publishing cause seriously they could be doing so much and instead choose the absolute worst trashy choices
Lol thank you for indulging me, anon. I have thought about this EXTENSIVELY so sorry not sorry for the tusnami of opinions you have unleashed.
Before I get into the list, a few points to explain my approach:
ONGOINGS. I am a firm believer in the importance of ongoing series. There's nothing wrong with a miniseries but you can't get any forward momentum or character development with them because things keep getting reset to their baseline. Get really strong teams on your ongoings and let them develop their stories for years at a time. That's where all the legendary runs come from.
To that end, I am proposing a list of 30 books, which is a little more than 7 per week, which is roughly what DC publishes now (not including things like Sandman, Looney Tunes, etc.). They can add on as many minis as they want but will need fewer since so many more characters are accounted for with ongoings.
I am a strong believer in backup features - more value for your dollar and double the amount of characters included - so you'll see a lot of those.
I tried to balance what I personally think would be the most holistic representation of the DCU with what I believe will sell, so you're still going to see a lot of Bats. It should be understood that books without Bats are not going to be treated like throwaways like they sometimes are now. They are going to get top tier creators with long, sustained runs, just like Bruce always gets.
It will not be a publishing slate of all straight white guys from the 30s-60s.
Books with an asterisk* mean they will be kid-friendly. Not exclusively for kids, but appealing and accessible to young readers, the way Young Justice and its members' books were in the 90s. They can still include ongoing plots and queer characters and serious topics! They just shouldn't be relentlessly grim.
OKAY THE BOOKS!
Super Books:
Superman*: The lead Superman title, with a backup featuring starring Jon.
Action Comics*: Focuses more on the Superfamily as a whole, though the plot can dovetail and cross over with the main Superman book. (This is basically what's happening now.) Backup feature rotates between Kon, John Henry, Natasha, Kenan, Lois, and Jimmy.
Supergirl*: Why did I give Kara her own book and not Kon or Jon? Because a) DC needs more female-led books and b) I want to. The primary audience for this book is women who watched the CW show, or girls who have outgrown TTGo! and DC Super Hero Girls, NOT ADULT MEN. (Optional: Kon or Natasha backup feature.)
Bat Books:
Batman: Like the Super books, this would be the central title and focus on Bruce. Backup feature can rotate between the nine billion Gotham characters who need a home.
Detective Comics: Focuses more on mysteries/the family. Another rotating backup feature. NOTE: These backup features CANNOT star a character with their own book (Bruce, Dick, Damian, Selina, or Harley).
Nightwing: Dick sells. ;)
Robin*: Starring Damian, Tim gets a team book further down.
Batwoman: Perhaps we could try letting a queer woman write this for once? Revolutionary, I know.
Catwoman: Because she fucking rules.
Harley Quinn: Because she fucking sells.
Birds of Prey: I prefer a classic Babs/Dinah/Helena lineup but I'm flexible.
Batgirls*: If it’s too messy to have Babs in BoP and this, take her out and add Harper.
Red Hood and the Outlaws: Imagine if this book was good! In my universe, it will be.
Solo Books:
Wonder Woman
Flash: This will star Wally. Optional backup rotates between Jay, Bart, Ace, and Avery. Barry can show up sometimes I guess.
Green Lantern: Starring Hal, John, or Kyle. Whoever is the lead CANNOT also be on the Justice League.
Green Lantern Corps: Okay yes technically this is a team book. Shhh. Guy should always be on this book since he does better in an ensemble. The plot should dovetail loosely with the main GL book with an annual crossover but you don't have to read both if you don't want to. I am flexible about how to fit all the Earth GLs in (including Simon and Jessica), whether that's backup features or just including them in the GLC ensemble, but all six should always have a publishing home. Jo should get as many prestige graphic novels as N. K. Jemisin and Jamal Campbell care to bless us with.
Aquaman: Jackson backup. Please let him go back to being Aqualad and stop making everyone grow up so fast.
Green Arrow: This book is currently perfect, no notes.
Blue Beetle*: Starring Jaime, though Ted may show up to be annoying if he would like. A Booster backup is permissible.
Vixen: If they have a Webtoon they should have a comic for $ too.
Zatanna: See above.
...I'm torn between Shazam!* or Stargirl* here. I feel like they both kind of fizzled? I guess it depends on which book gets the better pitch.
Team Books:
Justice League: I mostly don't care who is on this but if it's a bunch of white guys plus Wonder Woman and either John Stewart or Cyborg as tokens, AGAIN, DC gets shut down permanently. I don't make the rules.
Justice Society: This is also not allowed to be only old white guys. I know that's harder with the JSA. I don't care.
Titans: I'm going to be honest, I'm not convinced the OG/New Teen Titans can star in a decent book anymore, since they haven't done so in two decades. But I will give them one more try. They can call themselves the Outsiders instead if that helps.
Young Justice*: They also maybe need a new name because they are all legal adults, but this is Tim's book. I'm highly skeptical of success here as well but I think the right creative team could make something really soapy and New Adult and queer work. Please keep in mind that there are nine trillion characters in the DCU who are roughly Tim's age to draw from; the "Core Four" (ugh I hate that term so much) can all be members but they are not the only members. (Cassie cannot be the only girl and it cannot be all white.)
Teen Titans*: Damian's team! I vote for characters like Emiko, Ace, and Jackson here, but I'm flexible. THE AUDIENCE FOR THIS BOOK IS MIDDLE SCHOOLERS, NOT PEOPLE WHO GREW UP ON WOLFMAN/PEREZ. Jesus, DC.
Suicide Squad: I truly do not care about this book but we need to do something to appease the edgelords.
The New Gods: I'm thinking EPIC, I'm thinking KIRBY, I'm thinking SIMONSON. Everyone talks in a serif font and it should be impossible to explain out loud with human words. It's what Kirby would want.
So there it is, there's my pitch. Again, this doesn't cover minis (Elongated Man miniseries WHEN), event books, etc., but I think it gets most of the key players on the board!
(And yes, I know I left the Legion out. I'm sorry. But not very sorry. They can cameo in Kara's book.)

Every Little Thing (Is Magic)
Summary: Loki x Fe!Reader -> You and Loki are friends, but what happens when some pain-in-the-ass magician decides to stick his powers in where they're not wanted?
Disclaimer: This is part one. Not proof-read. Watched Supergirl and felt like writing. Like, comment and reblog for part two. Fluff, humor?, Loki being more excited than a puppy for a hot minute.
Tumblr media
If someone had told you years ago that one day you would be hanging out with The Avengers only to find yourself in a compromised situation that included yourself, The God of Mischief and a multi-universal-pain-in-the-ass magician - you wouldn’t have believed them.
Hell, you couldn’t believe it was happening, even when it was right in front of your eyes.
When you had joined the team via the recommendation of Clint Barton, you hadn’t expected to find a close friendship in The God of Mischief himself but, surprisingly, you had.
And somehow, between first meeting and the present time, you and Loki had found yourselves having a movie night each Friday.
He enjoyed, despite denying it for a while, the world you lived on. Maybe it wasn’t as grand or glistening as Asgard, but it had its moments. The way the rain fell on an empty afternoon. The way the sun would rise just over the horizon each morning and had every place on the earth look so magical, even the darkest corners looked like a paradise.
But, half-way through the second viewing of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, someone interrupted your peace time.
Loki had been sitting on the sofa and immediately jumped when he heard a second voice and you let out a short scream before dropping the glass bottle of milk on the floor.
“Oh, I am sorry. Here, let me.”
The guy, dressed in a dark suit and fedora, waved his hand and the milk was cleaned up and disappeared in an instant. A second movement and a brand new bottle appeared on the side of the counter, fresh and cold.
“Who are you?”
“That isn’t of importance.” He waved off.
“I believe the lady asked you a question.”
The nameless man turned around on his heels with a smile. “Ah, Loki. I’ve met many of you. Nice to see you again. Please, there is no need for weapons here.”
With a move of his hand, Loki’s weapons had disappeared leaving both you and him shocked.
“Now, I was hoping we could both speak.”
Your head was trying to register everything but it was having a difficult time not trying to kill the man in front of you.
“Who are you?” you asked again.
“Not of importance.”
“I believe it is.” you replied.
The man smiled. “Well, if you must call me something, call me…Vel. Short for Velho.”
You leaned a little to view Loki past Velho, to which he seemed a little offended.
“Do you recognise the name?”
Loki thought for a moment before looking at Velho. “It’s Finnish for Wizard.”
“You’re a wizard?”
Again, he looked offended.
“Darling, couldn’t you already see that?” He shrugged. “Never mind. Besides, we’re wasting time. Why don’t we get on with it?”
“Get on with what? Look, Velho, I don’t know where or…what you are but, please, if you need help, we can-”
Velho laughed. “Oh, darling, I don’t need help. But my help is needed.”
“What on earth for-?”
Suddenly the room around you disappeared and rather than being your apartment, it spun and changed until you were in a large ballroom with long and grand-designed tables and crystal chandeliers.
“That’s better, don’t you think?”
“Whoa, wait a moment-”
Suddenly, with a snap of his fingers, Velho made Loki disappear.
“Whoa! What - Where did you send him?”
Velho was circling you with a finger pressed to his lips and his mind running wild. “Don’t worry, dear. He’s just getting ready.”
You stood tall. “Where?”
“Nowhere important.” Velho sized you up with his fingers as if he was measuring a painting from far away. “Ah, yes. That’s it.”
You yelped as you felt your feet shift from under you and your entire outfit that had consisted of comfortable pyjama bottoms and a long sleeve t-shirt changed into a corset tight wedding dress which put Enchanted to shame.
“What the hell?”
“Yes, I agree. Much too poofy. How about-”
Velho waved his hand again and you spun until you found yourself in an entirely new dress. Less poofy but much more lace.
“What the hell are you doing?”
“Getting you ready.” Velho replied as if you knew what he was talking about.
“Getting ready for what?”
“Much too lace. You look like a botched job at a Victorian Era wedding. Ah, I think I’ve got it.”
You didn’t pay attention to the next dress but the moment you stopped spinning you put your hands out and Velho stopped talking.
“Hold on! What are you getting me ready for? And don’t you dare say it’s not important. And where is Loki? Bring him back, now.”
Vehlo smiled. “He’ll be here in a few minutes. But why don’t you take a look.”
A mirror appeared behind him and as he stepped out of the way, you saw the dress he had put you in.
The open sleeves draped down to the floor with elegant gold details. The dress had a transparent, hand-crafted opening whilst velvet fabric bookended it. The shoulders contained the same golden detail and the train seemed to continue on forever behind you, and the veil that was attached to the flower crown that adorned your head was longer still.
Your hair had changed too.
From the messy and dirty bun you had thrown it into, you found it clean, curled and framing your face in a way you always wished to have got it, but in reality had never been successful.
Wisps of glitter seemed to float around you, blessing you with a romantic essence you never believed you could hold.
You looked like you had just stepped out of a fairytale story.
“And to hide it from your groom.”
A soft wave of his hand and you found a simple cloak wrap over your shoulders only to find the inside like silk against your skin with gentle details of ivy, lavender and roses all on a golden background.
Carefully, Velho moved the hood to sit on the crown of your hair where it draped down and hid your beauty whilst somehow showing it off secretly to the world.
Now you were definitely in a fairytale.
“Wait. Groom?”
“Ah,” Velho stepped back. “I almost forgot.”
With a snap of his fingers, Loki suddenly burst in through the double doors down the hall causing you to turn.
He must have been running down multiple corridors, trying to find the right one to find you because once he laid his eyes on you, there was a complete look of exhaustion and relief.
“Thank the gods, you’re okay.”
“I’m okay.”
Only now did you realise what he was wearing.
A suit.
A wedding suit.
Now you snapped your attention back to Velho. “What are you doing?”
“Just what should be happening sooner than later.”
“What?”
You found the room spinning again and you found yourself back in your apartment, in your pyjamas except for your hair which was not messy or dirty but clean and in soft waves and half pulled back.
“But I can see you’re both not just quite ready for that yet. But maybe I can hurry things along a little bit.”
The look in Loki’s eyes suddenly changed and you were taken aback as he opened up his arms, called your name and came towards you.
“My love, I have been waiting centuries for you and I have finally found you. I love you.”
Loki continued in a romantic speech, hugging you multiple times in between. Meanwhile, you stood awkwardly, not quite knowing how to accept the sudden over the top affection.
“What did you do to him?”
“Oh, nothing.”
You pulled yourself from Loki’s arms and rushed away from him only to find him back at your side again.
He kept calling you “My love,” and complimenting you to the high heavens.
“Turn it off.”
Velho smiled and clicked his fingers and within seconds Loki was on the floor, holding his head.
“What the hell just happened?”
You bent down and looked at him. “Follow my finger.”
“I feel like I’ve just hit my head a thousand times over on a rock.” Loki told you. “Is this what a hangover feels like?”
You shrugged. “Sometimes. Depends on the drink. Are you still in love with me?”
Loki looked at you a little confused. “No more than usual.”
“Let me help you.”
Loki stood with your help, still holding his head. “What happened?”
“He did.”
“Guilty.” Velho smiled. “Now, I best be off. And, just a small warning darling, his powers don’t work on me. Nobody’s do. So, you’re just gonna have to figure this one out without magic. See you soon, my darling.”
“No, no, no, no, no-”
A snap of his fingers, a click of his heels and a hand behind his back, Velho smiled and Loki went from panic to having so much adoration and love for you, it surpassed that of a puppy when its owner comes home. Meanwhile, your panic turned into annoyance as Loki held you in his arms so tightly, it no longer felt like him.
There had to be a way to fix it.

All The WLW Ships
As many of you probably read on our Tumblr account yesterday, we experienced some interesting questions and responses to a few of our posts. While it wasn’t what we expected, we knew there was bound to be some discord during the lead up to the event. Especially when we are promoting as many of the ships as we can. All three of us have worked diligently to be transparent about our intentions and vision for Supergirl May-hem. We’ve put a great deal of time, passion, and tears into the planning, organizing, and creation of what we hope to be a unique experience for all involved. Yesterday was eye-opening for us in ways we hadn’t anticipated and the catalyst for this post.
When we began our planning in July, the number one thing on our list was to create an inclusive, safe space for all the wlw ships from the show. As writers ourselves, we know what goes into the creation of the stories and art we share within our community. Each of us mods have experienced some form of bullying or harassment related to our creative work and wanted to create policies to prevent things like that inside the May-hem event. We’ve been very clear and adamant about that since the beginning. We want a safe space for all of the fanfiction and fan art creators to share their passions with like-minded people. That desire is still the heart of what we’re doing and will remain so throughout.
After our posts (including the lovely rant from our resident tornado, Chaos), we received so much love and support from so many beautiful souls in our fandom. To say that it was a much needed shift for our team is an understatement. We appreciate each and every one of you that reached out, ranted on our behalf, and listened to us blow off some steam. Your presence and encouragement helped settle and reinforce our goals.
We realized that not only do we want to create a safe and inclusive space for all the wlw ships, we also want to encourage anyone that has been hesitant to dip their toe into the pool of other ships. We want to give all of you the safety to explore something new if you want. This is something the Supergirl May-hem team is passionate about. The three of us have historically written Supercorp specific fics, but for this event, we have been exploring some of the other ships (you can see our ficlet collection here). It has been fun and we’ve discovered that we enjoy it a lot! We know there are others out there too.
So, if you’ve been thinking about venturing into some of the other ships in our fandom, why not try it through Supergirl May-hem? There is a lower word count to allow for writing more than one fic and there will be several spaces to get support inside our Discord server when it opens in a few weeks. Write for whatever ship is your favorite, that’s what this event is about. Just know, we will support, encourage, and cheer you on if you also choose to explore a secondary ship too. That’s the beauty of what we’re trying to create…it’s all the wlw ships.
--The SG May-hem Team

I’ve been thinking about Steph and cass lately, especially with my recent re-read of Batgirl 2009. You’re totally right in that Steph does not even once spare Cass a single thought or even speak about her at all in the entire run. But it also got me thinking, didn’t this exact scenario already play out except with Tim? I’ll admit it’s been awhile since I’ve read her run as Robin, but I feel like once she got the mantle of Robin (again, taken from someone else- this time Tim) she never really spared him a second thought either. And then when she gets the Batgirl mantle from Cass, she never spared her a second thought. I know that the writers probably did not intend for this sort of characteristic to shine through, but it’s interesting nonetheless that this has happened twice. Does Steph just view people as disposable? Or as extensions of herself? And that’s why the second she gets what she wants from them or can’t get anything more from them, they drop in importance in her eyes and she doesn’t spare them a second thought? What are you views on it? (Also supergirl showing up in the middle was so damn random lmfao, did they have any previous links before that issue? Or even after that issue? I feel a bit bad for Kara that she constantly has to be besties with whoever the newest batgirl is T-T)
That is how I tend to view her, when I'm not taking steps to deliberately soften her character (like with Batgirl, Repentant). She does think about Tim a few times while she's Robin, but it's mostly in passing -- first explaining to Cass why she's in the Robin suit in Batgirl; then because he got a hold of her over the phone, briefly; and then because her last case involved an assassin, Scarab, who was hired to kill people who looked like him. Once that's established, he's out of her thoughts.
After that she thinks of him again in the lead-up to War Games, namely in the "Prelude," from Batman 12-Cent Adventure #1, which is partially an excuse to do set-up/recap flashbacks for anybody tuning into the event who hasn't been reading Batman regularly, but is also when we actually get to see the Incident that kicks off the gang war -- and it's told from Steph's perspective.
Tumblr media
And a little later on when she hears his school got shot up, she's devastated, fully bursts into tears and is terrified that she might've gotten him killed.
That said, her writing in War Games is largely an outlier -- for all the problems with that story (and there are so many problems, don't get me wrong), it legitimately has some of the best, most selfless and heroic characterization Steph has ever been given. It's tragic heroism, but it's still genuine heroism all the same.
The rest of the time... Yeah, she just doesn't really seem to make many connections or think much about other people when they're not directly involved in getting her what she wants. That's the vibe I get, too.
As for Supergirl: they did actually establish that. There was a 4-isuue World's Finest miniseries in 2009 that told one semi-ongoing story but also used each individual issue to team up a member of the new "Batman Reborn" Batfamily up with one of the similarly-revamped "New Krypton"-era Superfam.
Issue #1 was where Tim (as Red Robin) was reintroduced to the 15-year-old Chris Kent Nightwing (and Thara Ak-Var Flamebird). Issue #2 was Damian and the Guardian. Issue #3 had Babs call in Kara to rescue Steph from a death trap and then they teamed up. and Issue #4 had Dick-Bats and Clark come in to bring most of the threads together for a big finale.
The mini overall is... okay, though there's some characterization I'm not fond of, and something about the art style just. Really empathizes how much I fucking hate Steph's ugly Batgirl costume.
(Why. Does she wear her fucking belt so loose. They do it so it'll hang akimbo on her hips but it's made of huge weighted pouches, it'd spin around her waist when she tried to grapple like a goddamn hula hoop!!)

Note
Re-reading some of your early stories where Lena uses a red sun lamp to dampen Kara's powers. Has it occurred to you that because she had her R&D department rework Lex's old tech and then install it in her bedroom means that whole team has probably figured out she's boning Supergirl?
Bold of you to think I thought about anything in my first year of writing! I was operating on vibes ALONE in those smut fics. Very true though

Creature Commandos: An animated seven episode series, written by Gunn, that is already in production. Originally a team of classic monsters assembled to fight Nazis, this is a modern take on the concept. The voice actors have yet to be cast but the executives are looking to find people who can voice the animated characters and also portray the live-action versions when the anti-heroes to show up in movies and shows.
Waller: A spin-off of Gunn’s own HBO Max hit series, Peacemaker, Viola Davis will return as the ruthless and morally ambiguous head of a government task force. It is being written by Christal Henry (Watchmen) and Jeremy Carver, the creator of the Doom Patrol TV series.
Superman: Legacy: The movie featuring the Man of Steel that Gunn is writing and may direct, although no commitments on that end have been made. While the two previous titles are meant to be “aperatifs,” in Safran’s words, Superman is the true kick off for the duo’s DCU plans. “It’s not an origin story,” Safran said. “It focuses on Superman balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing. He is the embodiment of truth justice and the American way. He is kindness in a world that thinks that kindness as old-fashioned.” A release date of July 11, 2025 has been penciled in.
Lanterns: Greg Berlanti’s long-in-the-works Green Lanterns TV series has been scrapped and the duo have parted ways with the longtime DC series steward. In its place will be a new take on the space cops with power rings. “Our vision for this is very much in the vein of True Detective,” Safran described. “It’s terrestrial-based.” It will feature prominent Lantern heroes Hal Jordan and John Stewart and is one of the most important shows they have in development. “This plays a really big role in leading into the main story we are telling across film and TV.”
The Authority: a movie based on a team of superheroes with rather extreme methods of protecting the planet that first originated in the late 1990s under an influential imprint known as Wildstorm, run by artist and now head of DC publishing, Jim Lee. “One of the things of the DCU is that it’s not just a story of heroes and villains,” said Gunn. “Not every film and TV show is going to be about good guy vs. bad guy, giant things from the sky comes and good guy wins. There are white hats, black hats and grey hats.” Added Safran: “They are kinda like Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men. They know that you want them on the wall. Or at least they believe that.”
Paradise Lost: The duo describe this HBO Max series as a Game of Thrones-style drama set on the all-female island that is Wonder Woman’s birthplace, Themyscira, filled with political intrigue and scheming between power players. It takes place before the events of the Wonder Woman films.
The Brave and the Bold: “This is the introduction of the DCU Batman,” said Gunn. “Of Bruce Wayne and also introduces our favorite Robin, Damian Wayne, who is a little son of a bitch.” The movie will take inspiration from the now-classic Batman run written by Grant Morrison that introduced Batman to a son he never knew existed: a murderous tween raised by assassins. “It’s a very strange father-and-son story.” And, importantly, it will feature a Batman not played by Robert Pattinson…
Booster Gold: an HBO Max series based on a unique and lower-tiered hero created in 1986. Safran said of the series, “It’s about a loser from the future who uses basic future technology to come back to today and pretend to be a superhero.” Gunn described it as “imposter syndrome as superhero.”
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow: Taking its cues from the recent Tom King-written mini-series, this movie project promises to have a different take than what most think of when the idea of Superman’s cousin comes to mind. “We will see the difference between Superman, who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents from the time he was an infant, versus Supergirl, raised on a rock, a chip off of Krypton, and who watched everyone around her die and be killed in terrible ways for the first 14 years of her life and then come to Earth. She is much more hardcore and not the Supergirl we’re used to.”
Swamp Thing: a horror film that promises to close out the first part of the first chapter.
DC Elseworlds:
The Batman sequel: Pattinson will continue to portray the Dark Knight in at least one more crime saga movie directed by Matt Reeves. That movie, the executives revealed, will be released Oct. 3, 2025 and is being titled The Batman Part II.
I'm pumped

(putting it here because we really need stop highjacking gifs sets)
Okay first of all Legends of Tomorrow:
This show is amazing, you have to watch it.
It's a superheroes who time travel but it is very wacky and queer. The first season is my last favorite because it is more cliché and boring and less gay, so don't judge the show on this. It gets crazier after that.
There is a bisexual woman who hooks up with lots of people through history and especially historical figures.
They beat the villains with the power of friendship, love and violence or gets them to join the team.
In a nutshell, it's amazing, one of my favorite shows of all times. If you want to see a bit more of that craziness and don't really care about spoilers, watch legends without context videos.
About Warrior Nun :
You're right, I forgot it was Bea driving when she picked up Mary. For some reason I mixed them up and thought it was Mary.
That means that we didn't see Mary drive expect for her motorcycle. She can probably drive cars too but we love cliches and since she's a lesbian who can cook... Well she probably can drive well but it's fun to pretend that she can't.
Legends -
I know that legends has a lot of overlap with the rest of the arrowverse. But I only really know Supergirl S2-forwards.
Does it suffer from the same writing degrade that Supergirl did in it's later seasons when they forgot that their characters were good people and just forgot Nia existed at all?
Warrior Nun -
I like to think that she's the 'good driver' with her and Shannon, but she can only drive her bike. Shannon Should just be a maniac on the road.
That's why they taught Bea, and maybe Lilith. That way they can actually get home on a timely basis.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (One Shot)
Tumblr media
Request
Hey! Can you write a fic where fem reader and Lena go on a vacation to a nice beach and have a nice and Lena actually gets some peace and quiet for once lol. Can be NSFW if you would like
A/N: Hey beautiful beans! Just so you know I’ve not abbandoned this ship, sorry it took lo long to come back. There’s still lots of requests in my queue and I plan on fulfilling each one of them. I promised I was going to after all. Pls forgive, I’m a slow writer but I always enjoy writing for you guys. Tho I’m still deciding if I should do a second part nsfw... Anyway, hope you like this little piece, and let me know what you think!
Lena Luthor x Fem!R//Word Count: 1,060 -------------------------------------------------------
When you planned this little trip, you were thinking it was going to be all about fun and relaxation. You would sleep late, wake up until late morning, have some nice breakfast in bed, take long baths, and enjoy the Caribbean paradise as much as you could.
And so it was for the first couple of days, until you noticed your always busy girlfriend wasn't enjoying herself as much.
"Lena, I swear, if you don't put your phone down I'll take it and throw it away so hard you will need Supergirl to retrieve it back from outer space."
Lena froze mid-text and turned to look at you with a sheepish smile. You pulled your sunglasses down and narrowed your eyes at her.
It was the second time you visited the beach, and it was again the second time Lena seemed to be busy with something else. You couldn't entirely blame her for it considering she was the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company, a consultant for the DEO, and best friends with National City's superheroine, Supergirl. Someone, something, somewhere, was always going to need her attention but you knew even someone as amazing and powerful as her had her limits.
"Sorry, darling. You want me to get us more cocktails?"
"Nuh-uh, don't darling me." You sat straight on your deck chair. "What I need is for you to stop working for a minute, alright?"
Part of the reason you had organized the trip was because you had started to notice some changes in her demeanor. She was leaving work late, barely sleeping at night, and you weren't sure if she was keeping up with her meals. You had spoken with her assistant, Jess, about it and she had confirmed your suspicions about it all. Work seemed to pile in her office, the DEO and Supergirl called her every now and then to help them deal with considerable threats, and Lena still had to manage her business and her own scientific projects.
The cherry on top of it all had to be you, as she always did her best to find time to spend with you.
Lena Luthor was the most wonderful human being but it was costing her so much just to exist. That's why, when Jess suggested her boss was in dire need of a break, you didn't think twice about planning a little get away for you two alone.
The plan was simple, take Lena to another country with a beautiful beach, preferably on the other side of the planet, spend at least a week in a great five-star hotel overlooking the ocean, take her to the spa, and do whatever necessary to keep her mind off responsibilities. So far, it wasn't working.
"You know I can't." Lena said doing her best impression of puppy eyes.
"What's so important this time?" You pulled yourself closer to her as she too sat straight on her chair to show you her screen phone.
"The gala for this years charity?" You frowned in confusion. "Don't you have like a whole team organizing it already?"
"I do, but I need it to be perfect." She retrieved her phone and looked at it. You could see the worry slipping in her expression.
"Here, give me." You reached over with your hand, prompting Lena to give you her phone. She did after a moment of hesitation and you smiled at her as you could read her thoughts. "Not gonna throw it, I promise."
Instead, you locked her phone and left it on the table near you, between your cocktails, and raised your hands again for Lena to hold them. She watched you with some suspicion in her eyes but followed suit as she reached for your hands. She caressed them with her thumbs and you felt your heart melting at the gesture. You couldn't stay mad at her when she did that.
"Hear me out for a second, okay?" Lena nodded. "You have been planning this gala for a year, making everything in your hands to get more and new organizations and people to join. You already did the hardest part, so let your team do the rest. They know what they are doing."
"I know, but what if someone backs down from the event? Or if they need me to take care of something personally and I have to go back and-"
"Hey, hey." You searched her eyes. "They got this. They are the best at what they do, you know why? Because you, Lena Luthor, only hire the best of the best. Ask Jess if you don't believe me."
That made her smile. "I do believe you."
It mean the world to her that you were always there to remind her what was important at times like these, helping her realize nothing was as bad as it seemed and that she shouldn't waste the rare and precious moments she got to live with you without a catastrophe at hand.
"Good. Now, believe me when I say you deserve some peace and quiet. We are already here, let's enjoy ourselves."
"Peace and quiet, sounds good." She leaned to give you a kiss abut you raised a finger at her as she got closer, stopping her midway.
"Before that, you gotta promise me, no phones or other electronic devices, and no business calls. At least for the rest of the day. Alright?"
"Do I get my kiss if I say yes?"
"You can get more than a kiss of you do." You smirked.
"Oh, what else are we talking about?" Lena raised a brow with a new found interest and for a moment she seemed to really forget about her worries.
"We could have a little more fun." You said teasingly and looking at her lips. "The kind that is more enjoyable at night, after a nice dinner and that sweet wine you like."
"Sounds good to me."
"Do we have a deal then, Miss Luthor?"
"Deal." She said, and you couldn't help but smile as she closed the distance between you two.
For the rest of the day, as promised, Lena kept her hands off her phone and tried her best not to think about whatever happening back in National City. She was too busy thinking about what the end of the day would bring instead and how happy you made her.

A New Beginning: A Supergirl 6x20 Re-Write
Chapter 13: A Night To Remember
Lena had managed to sneak out with a garment bag and the ring just before Kara had gotten home. Part of the plan for tonight was to not get ready at Alex and Kelly’s place, but to make sure Kara was pampered before the party. Just before Kara got home and she left, she decided to leave a little note.
“Hey Sunshine,
Sorry I didn’t catch you when you got home. Alex and Kelly needed a last minute sitter for Esme for their solo crime fighting date. Don’t worry, I got you a little something to pamper yourself before our date night tonight: your favorite chocolates, your favorite wine and spirits…and a little something for our anniversary…”
That something, a simple gold necklace with Celtic Tree of Life as the adornment to be around her neck. It was Lena’s way of telling Kara they balance each other, and that they work harmoniously together.
“I know I didn’t have to, after lunch today, but I wanted to thank you for helping ease my fidgeting and nerves. You always know how you settle whatever uneasiness that plagues me. You may be National City’s Girl of Steel, but your my precious Sunbeam. See you tonight. Xx”
Kara had been out with Nia and Brainy, taking out the bad guys with ease and finesse, per usual. When she got home, the first thing she saw was the basket full of goodies Lena had left. Reading the note, she couldn’t help but feel giddy and excited. Seeing that she had a good few hours before the “party”, she decided to relax and pop open the wine Lena had got her, and decided to watch a new show Alex had introduced her to about an All-Girls Baseball team during WWII.
“This show better be all Alex said it would be.” Kara plos down on the couch with her wine chocolate. “I was promised fruits.”
*National City Suburbs*
Meanwhile, at Alex and Kelly’s place, the rest of the Super Friends we’re getting ready, finalizing plans and making sure everyone on the guest list makes it to the restaurant.
“You going to be okay with a panicked Lena while we finalize everything?” Kelly asked as she finished strapping on her black heels with gold studs. What she was wearing was a black lace jumpsuit with a gold belt to emphasize her muscular curves with her luscious black hair swept and pinned to one side.
Alex came out wearing a dark, almost like she was wearing hellfire itself, mahogany suit with a charcoal lace bodysuit underneath. Her short hair was in loose curls and pinned at both sides. Her black booties gave her a couple inches, making her slightly taller than Kelly. “I think she needs me. She was in full blown panic mode the moment she got her. Maybe a sister-in-law, heart to heart is what will help.”
As Alex was talking, smoothing out her suit and checking to see if she looked put together enough, Kelly was eyeing her in the mirror, like the snack she was.
“What?”
“Nothing…you just look…” Kelly comes up from behind to hug her around the waist, resting her chin in the indentation between her neck and shoulder. “You look stunning.”
“So do you.” Alex took one last deep breath before turning around. “You think things will go according to plan?”
“We have to hope they will. Even if they don’t, it’s Kara and Lena. They could be having this party in the middle of nowhere, and it still would be an amazing night.” Kelly reassures with a comforting hand squeeze.
“Guys.” Nia pokes her head in after knocking. “Hate to break up the clearly cute moment you two were having, but we should probably go pick up everyone to bring them to the restaurant.”
“Go.” Alex gives Kelly a kiss. “Keep me updated.”
With the others out the door, Alex knew a trick that would work. With two cold glasses of Bourbon, she headed to the room Lena was getting ready in. “Lena? You decent?”
“Come in Alex.” Lena was sitting at a vanity, finishing the final touches on her half up/half down style. She was wearing a two piece navy suit with a white blouse with a built-in ribbon bow tie. The pearlescent copper makeup with dark garnet smoky corner on her eyes really made the ocean blue tones really pop. And she was wearing her mother’s pendant, just as an extra good luck charm.
“Lena.” Her future sister-in-law took her by surprise. “You look.”
“A mess?”
“No, you look…radiant.” Alex hands over the second glass of Bourbon. “But I figured this glass of liquid courage could help.”
If there was one thing Lena learned, it is that her soon to be family was very good at reading people. Graciously accepting the glass, she nursed the drink so as to not get tipsy before the biggest night of her life. “I just want tonight to go well, Alex.”
“Hey, you have nothing to worry about.” Alex didn’t know how wrong she was at that moment. “And even if; that’s a big if, you know Kara isn’t going to care. Even as a kid, if something with our plans went wrong, she would be the one to offer an alternative. And anything she did offer…turned out pretty great. Whatever happens tonight, it’s going to be great because you two will have your whole support system there to celebrate you.”
Finishing the last of her Bourbon, she takes a deep exhale to herself before standing to swing on her blazer. “I really appreciate our talks, Alex. Looking back at how far our relationship has come…”
“Past me wouldn’t have believed it either.” Dusting off the shoulders of her future sister-in-law, she then tied the ribbon into a bow around Lena’s neck, the final thing, in her eyes, that would cement their bond. “Lena, without a doubt, you have been the best thing that has happened to Kara. Because of you, she’s been able to love every part of her life again.”
“The feeling is mutual.” Lena blushed, a shade of pink that was near identical to the shag rug beneath her feet, that seemingly took away the rest of nerves just by standing there.
“Come one, let’s get you and my sister engaged. I’ll even drive you.”
“Alex, you don’t have to.”
“Lena, I’ve got time before I have to get to the restaurant to help with the rest of the preparations. Plus…it gives you time to text Kara.” With a wink, she shut the back door of the car, and then drove off the building where they would take their helicopter ride over the city.
*National City — Big City Eats*
Kelly had taken up the mantle with getting the restaurant ready for the party. The atmosphere in the place was hectic but filled with excitement. Kelly had made sure the bar was fully stocked because she knew not only Alex would be partaking, but Sara and Ava would be as well. Her main priority: everyone was relaxed and having a good time.
Nia was put in charge of the Photo Booth area, getting all of the silly props and paper party favors together. Did she get this idea from Mariah and Tessa’s engagement party on Young and the Restless, and show that clip to Lena who also ended up loving the idea? Absolutely. She was a sucker for the cheesy moments in life, and she wanted to make sure Lena and Kara had plenty to look at fondly in their future.
Brainy was surprisingly in charge of the music. Having learned a little bit about what everyone’s tastes were, and with Nia’s guidance as to what was “hot” and “not”, he had a pretty equal balance. He was certain there would be a 100% chance this playlist would be the reason why the engagement party was a success.
Catering from not only the restaurant, but Big Belly Burger and Jitters was called in ahead of time. Food and refreshments were the easiest part.
J’onn was in charge of getting all of the guests. And with a pool pitched in from everyone, they sprung for the swankiest limo ever. When he pulled up, the party guest flowed in as follows: Sam, Ruby, Esme, Sara, Ava, Cat, Barry, Iris and Lois.
However…one thing did end up going wrong.
“Kelly.” J’onn had discretely waved her over.
“By the way you just waved me over…something fell through.” Kelly sighed, feeling her heart break for Lena.
“The Helicopter pilot Lena booked had accidentally double booked. I tried to convince him that tonight was important, but he wouldn’t budge.”
“Lena’s going to be crushed. But we can’t lose hope. I remember Alex telling me that Kara would always find a way to fix hiccups.” Kelly, forever the optimist.
As soon as she said that, Alex entered. “Okay, Lena’s dropped off. Kara should be showing up any moment. That’s going to be a ride over the city they will never forget.”
“About that…” J’onn began.
“What happened? I was only gone for an hour. Something can’t have failed already.”
“The Helicopter pilot double booked and wouldn’t budge.”
Alex had a light bulb moment, smiling to herself. “Kel, this might just be a blessing in disguise…and everything is going to be fine.” Leading them to their friends and Esme, they mingled to pass the time until the two Love Birds showed up.
*National City—Rooftop of the Lena Luthor Foundation*
Patient, but nervously waiting for Kara to arrive, Lena began to pace which was something she rarely did.
“Where the hell is this bloody helicopter? I swear if this idiot double booked…”
The rooftop door opens to reveal Kara in a black suit with flowers embroidered all over, cream colored blouse that made Kara’s tan glow as bright as the sun, her golden beachy curls pinned into a braided crown with a few strands framing her delicate yet chilled features, patent leather pumps, and the Celtic Tree of Life Lena had gifted her. To supplement her “glasses”, she went with a Smokey Amethyst eye look; she knew that would get Lena’s attention along with her outfit. Before even announcing her presence, she had to take a moment for herself to drink Lena in. There before her was the most beautiful woman in National City. She was also right about Lena being worried from before.
“It’s about time you sho—” Lena couldn’t even finish her misplaced sentence when she saw Kara. Having clutched her chest after feeling her breath physically leave her body at the sight of Kara, she couldn’t help but stare. “Showed up. Kara, you are an absolute vision.”
“You’re looking glorious yourself.” Beaming at her girlfriend, she crossed the helipad pavement to place a gentle peck to her temple before rubbing the small of her back. “So, what exactly are we doing up here? All you told me was it was a surprise.”
The exasperated sigh was all Kara needed to hear from Lena that the surprise was ruined. “Well, I wanted to do something special for our anniversary. And from the lack of noise of a whizzing propeller…The helicopter isn’t coming.”
“Woah, wait. You got us a helicopter?”
“I just wanted us to have a special ride over the city before we went to go have dinner and—”
Before she could even finish her sentence, Kara captured the rest of her worries with a kiss, then a kiss to her palm to reassure that the microscopic inconvenience didn’t upset her. “Lena, do not worry. The fact that you planned all of this, and kept it a surprise from me…the gesture alone means the world.” A touch to the forehead accompanied with brushing her stray hair aside was the final sign she could give to show it would be fine. “Besides. I have a better idea…”
“What do you—”
Kara started to float off the ground, sweeping Lena into her arms. “This is better than any ol’ helicopter anyway.”
Lena just stared in amazement. Her girlfriend wasn’t even bothered by the fact that part of the surprise was ruined. Instead, she offered a far more romantic way to travel. “Here I was, thinking I would be surprising you.” She fibbed. “Turns out you continue to surprise me every single day.”
“Keeping you on your toes is fun.” And she took off towards the restaurant where she would have the biggest surprise of her life.
The chapter before the BIG question! Chapter thirteen is a good one, enjoy! 🙏🏻
