I would like to know about Ghost Trick. Tell me about it please?

Ghost Trick is a hard game to talk a lot about because so much of it is about knowing nothing.

The main character wakes up after dying knowing nothing. He doesn't know how he died, who killed him, why he was in an old junk yard at the edge of the city, or who he himself is. His journey is to learn, to understand what happened to him and why. And the more he (and the audience) knows, the more he doesn't know at all.

I am trying to be vague because it really and truly is a story that I feel is best experienced knowing as little as you possibly can (not that it's reliant on twists to be interesting, it's just as brilliant on revisits, but I have been chasing the high of this mystery's narrative roller coaster for the last thirteen years and I think everyone deserves to experience it).

Basically it's a really well written, expertly paced, and stylishly animated story with a lot of great characters, wild twists, and one VERY good dog.

What do you do when art is hard to make/create/breathe life into?

Sometimes art gets hard to make- and that's okay. Sometimes you just gotta step back and let it sit. When I get to a point where art is hard, I take a break. Delve into some of my other hobbies. Find new interests.

I also take that step back, look at myself, and see if there's anything I need self-care wise. Sometimes all you need is a small reset, make sure you're doing okay, and take care of stuff that might be missing.

I sometimes see the word 'fast' used to describe your sketches, may I ask how fast is your fast?

I can't really determine how fast I actually can draw, but I usually say "fast sketches" in a sense that my sketches end up very sloppy and messy! I scribble a lot when I sketch, so to me, its fast and easy! When I have more cleaner sketches, that's when I take more time on it!

Can you tell me some things you enjoy about Digimon?

I love the companionship. The understanding that the child and the digimon are always, always there for each other, to protect and empower one another, to listen and comfort and support.

I love the growth. The focus may be on getting to see a cool new digimon form, but it's only possible if the child learns and grows and moves towards a better version of themself. Some have big arcs, some simply become More of what they already were, some backslide and get worse before learning their lessons. Each step forward (or backward) in their understanding of themself gets rewarded with a big cool monster fight.

I love that a lot of seasons very explicitly make it a family affair. The kids may be the focus, but they are not in a vacuum; their relationships with their parents, siblings, friends, teachers, etc are acknowledged as a part of why they are why the way they are and influence how they grow. Not a revolution by modern animation standards, but for a late 90s/early 00s kid cartoon it was a really fresh and nuanced take on characters.

I love the culture clash in later seasons, with Digimon who only know how to fight and grow stronger first interacting with humans who value kindness and gentleness and concern. Some Digimon come to love this strange and soft human way, but others find it genuinely insulting, and it's a fascinating bit of conflict.

I love the monster designs. A lot of jokes get made about Digimon designs, and it's deserved, but honestly it's really fun to look at what is essentially the manifestation of "what I thought was cool when I was 11" and decide "yeah i was right this kicks ass"

I love how one time Cthulhu showed up and no one mentioned it ever again.

Arrows! Tell me something fun about Nebula please?

Oh heck hi!

Hmmmmm, something fun about Nebula . . .

I may have mentioned this once or twice in the drafthouse but he has a traveling friend that comes to visit every few months! He and Hickory met him not long after they resurrected him and they became fast friends. His name is Wally Fleur and is @conundrumrespeculis's oc and is a smol chaotic gremlin who is also a thief. Wally has lectured Nebula about roof safety before. He was also there when he got the second crack in his face.

Nebula's also library friends with Wally's brother Fable/Percy (he knows them as Fable; they started using that name after disappearing to the fae realm for a time. Don't give people your name!). Fable is nerd, and a very good nerd at that. They taught Nebula bookbinding!

I hold this bird soft. Both them and Wally. And Straa Koh for that matter but Nebula doesn't interact with them as much since they stick to Dreamworkers, and I've already introduced two new characters and don't need to make this post long. They did help Nebula when he got kidnapped as a dog but that's a whole other can of worms.

What's one of your favourite pieces of art you've shared on tumblr?

My favorite piece would absolutely be my first fanart for Hollow Knight. It was the first boss fight in the game that really stuck out to me in my first and current play through, so I put a lot of love and passion into that piece!

I think it turned out to be a very pretty piece, one of my best and favorite works so far.
