I am such a slut for Danny having supernatural strength and being able to kill someone with a single slap because he’s used to fighting ghosts who are built Sturdy (and literally can’t die, that is very helpful in a sparing partner) so he has to learn such meticulous control when he moves to Gotham where he starts regularly getting into scuffles with humans who think he’s an easy target (he looks like he has the sturdiness of a wet newspaper) and the whole time he’s more stressed about not drawing the Bats attention by being too good or accidentally killing someone so he has to walk that fine line of acting like a scrawny loser and dipping out at his first chance without being clocked as a meta.

Danny, laying on the ground and getting kicked repeatedly by a thug: *tries to angle himself so the guy can kick out a knot in his back*

Danny: *deadpan* oh, ow, stop that hurts, oof

Robin, watching from the rooftop and recognizing the dramatics from the Supers: father there is a meta

Hello hello everyone!! Long time no see :) I've had this frans in my head for YEARS...I started the character design sheet last year (or was it two years ago?) but recently decided to get off my ass and finish it! So here's a product of hard, August work!

I'm kinda sad to see so many of my frans peers gone, but I hope they're doing well! While I probably won't be some huge online presence going forwards, I'm still excited to support the new gen while I can!

ANYWAYS!! This is my interpretation of HT frans! (og creator @/horrortalecomic) that takes place around a decade after Frisk's escape from the underground. Their life kinda goes downhill fast though, as the combined survivor's guilt, insane trauma after battling the horror known as Omega Flowey, and the sheer lack of a support system just kinda destroys them in that period of time. I won't dwell too much on that time period, though! After moving away from the og Mt. Ebbot city, Frisk gets their fresh start, regularly going to therapy, taking their PTSD meds, managing a pretty popular bookshop downtown, and living with their super supportive roomates!

...And then the monsters are freed, which does throw Frisk into a whirlwind, but after a year or two they feel pretty safe. No monsters seemed to have moved to their city (especially since the monster population is significantly smaller than it was before), so everything would be okay. Until that fateful day...

here they are! fyi frisk's skin, eye and hair colour (except for the blonde streaks) apply to all my frisks now!

I'll add some info here i couldn't fit in the tags! -> They have a fun coworker dynamic where Frisk does NOT know he doesn't remember them so they're constantly walking on eggshells around him.

loosely inspired by the Princess and the Frog, but more inspired by Comet the Super Horse, Supergirl’s oft forgotten “pet”

And by “pet” I mean Comet isn’t a kryptonian horse, he’s a fucking centaur named Biron cursed by a witch to switch between forms that also gave him superpowers. Might not have been a curse, but still oddly specific considering he was just her horse for a while and also in love with her I think?? Also a member of the Legion of Super-Pets. 

So LET’S DO THAT TO DANNY(kind of)

So the legend of the church Grim, is that it’s a protective spirit of sorts guarding churches and cemeteries, taking the form of a large black dog with red eyes. 

So, one of the various witches, warlocks, occultists or sorcerers managed to bind Danny, to guard... something. Danny isn’t quite the normal type of spirit and frankly the person clearly messed something up. The result?

Danny is stuck in the form of a black dog with access to some of his powers. Frankly, they seem suspiciously like Krypto’s powers... The League suspects Lex Luthor experimented with cloning Krypto, and Superboy get’s a superpowered pet of his own. 

Danny and Kon? The best of friends. They’re practically glued at the hip, where kon goes, Danny goes. Suddenly, being a dog isn’t all that bad. Sure, there’s the can’t talk or order fast food, but Kon feed’s him a lot more “people food” than he should when Ma Kent isn’t looking, and the dog food they get is surprisingly tasty. It’s fun wrestling with Kon, and Kon gives the best belly rubs. They take on bad guys together go on adventures, and it’s a surprisingly enjoyable life.

The one day, snuggled up in Kon’s bed ready to got to sleep, Kon just smooches his dog on the head, and *POOF*

Kon’s dog just transformed into a man his age, who is currently naked and in his bed.

as true as the jokes about “everyone wants to rewrite ninjago” are i feel like smthn people forget when complaining about the inconsistencies of the show is that…. it wasn’t planned? it’s not like most other animated shows lately - it didn’t start with a deeply fleshed out world or a meticulously designed pitch bible with grandiose plans for a long-term story or character arcs. the ninja don’t originally get their powers from heredity because they weren’t hereditary powers yet. the magic system doesn’t make sense bc they literally just made it up as they went! they go back and forth on stuff like whether non-elementals can learn spinjitzu bc it’s a collaborative piece of media made by people with vastly different levels of control over the story, the animation, the sets, etc. that varied over the course of the series. it’s totally understandable and exciting to see so many people reworking the early stuff with the lore and logic later seasons introduced but i personally feel that… if you’re doing that. you need to understand why the show is like that instead of writing it off as being bad and shitty. it was working with what it had. it’s only what it is now because of that awkward troubleshooting phase, not in spite of it

Sometime after Howard and Maria Stark’s death, Hydra decides to try and make a clone of Tony Stark, that’s infused with Super Soldier serum. They were hoping to get a super smart super soldier that they could control.

And thus Danny was born.

At some point when he’s like 2 or 3 one of the Hydra agents whose been his handler since he was born grows a conscious after witnessing the most recent experiment the other scientists in the lab put Danny through. They take Danny and run away from the lab. They don’t get away clean tho, they had to fight their way out of the lab and they were injured in the process. They wind up in Amity Park with baby Danny and come across the Fenton Parents. They hand Danny over to them and tell them to protect and look after the kid. And then they die.

The Fenton parents adopt Danny and raise him as their own. Danny grows up not knowing he’s adopted or that he’s a clone and a super soldier. The ghost portal accident happens when he’s 14 like cannon. The reason he survived and only half died is because of the super soldier serum in his blood.

Eventually, after the whole events of the Danny Phantom series has passed (minus Phantom Planet because fuck that horrible ending to the series). Danny, after defeating Pariah Dark, is now the king of the ghost zone. He still doesn’t realize he’s a clone of Tony Stark. Despite the fact that he looks exactly like a 17 year old version of the man!!!

And then New York happens. A portal opens up in the skies above New York, and aliens come pouring out of it! You bet your ass Danny hightailed it over to New York to help out the group of heroes that were trying to stop the aliens. He’s super hyped to fight aliens!!! He’s just having a blast zooming through the skies of New York, around skyscrapers, throwing punches and ecto-blasts at aliens, helping out the other heroes.

Meanwhile every time he helps one of the Avengers they all double take when they finally get a look at his face. Cause like yes this floating glowing child has glowing green eyes and Snow White hair, but the rest of his face looks like a very young Tony Stark. After each encounter with the boy the different Avengers call Tony over the coms to ask his status and to reassure themselves that Tony hadn’t been de-aged and given super powers mid battle.

Tony is the last one of them that meets Danny. He’s super annoyed at the fact everyone keeps calling him over the coms to ask his status. Like yeah he’s not a super soldier and doesn’t have powers, but neither does Romanoff or Barton!!! And unlike them he has his own super suit to protect him. So why is everyone calling in to check on him?!!!

And then finally Danny comes zooming around a building chasing after Loki’s chariot, shouting sarcastic quips at the god, while firing green blasts from his fists. And Tony just kind of blue screens for a minute. Jarvis has to take over piloting the suit for a minute while Tony reboots. He’s def got the surprised Pikachu face going on. Finally he reboots but Danny’s already flown off to deal with something else.

The battle comes to an end, the portal closes, the world is safe, and all the Avengers all head towards Stark tower. Danny sees them and where they’re headed and decides to meet them there. He’s been the only super hero around for a while and he wants to actually properly interact with these new hero’s!

Imagine his shock when he actually finally comes face to face with Tony Stark and finally realizes how much he looks like the man. He starts panicking thinking his mom had an affair with the man 17 years ago and just passed him off as Jack Fenton’s son.

Absolute chaos ensues as assumptions are made. DNA tests happen. They realize that no he is not Tony’s kid, he’s Tony’s clone. More assumptions are made. No body is having a good time.

Anyways, the fanfic writers should go insane with this list.

One thing I think the fandom doesn’t take enough advantage of is the common description of how it takes ghosts a great deal of energy to present themselves within human perception. 

 And with this in mind— I’d like to see a take on Danny becoming MORE ghostly as he loses energy. Instead of Phantom struggling to float and his aura dimming when he’s wiped— the opposite occurs. It’s an AU where Phantom appearing solidly human, walking, and audibly speaking in the human plane of reality takes effort. 

- Frankly that makes for a more terrifying introduction to being a halfa given that he friends would not immediately perceive his ghost form 

- Getting a handle on his ghostly attributes slipping in while human may instead feel like he's being pulled out of reality 

 - It’d be more logical for people to NOT draw the connection between Fenton and Phantom if he’s less discernible and rarely appears solid. Descriptions would be more word-of-mouth and fall to those limitations and distortions. 

- 100% higher cryptid energy 

- More likely to amass folk tales, myths, and rituals about how to spot or contact him 

- There would be times where Tucker and Sam can only perceive him via a camera and the ghost gabber 

[- Comedic potential where Tucker is just trying to get his Nasty Burger order but he has to decode a series of eerie, obscure photos and garbled, distorted audio recordings] 

- Some ghost fights are entirely outside of human perception 

[- Comedic potential where Lancer is just chilling with tea and some ungraded papers while Phantom and some other ghost are having a b r a w l around and through him. Think of all the silly scene matching with the contrast between the mundane and intensively serious. Lancer brings his cup up to his lips while Phantom drags the ghost up to his chin. Lancer places a paper into the finished pile while Phantom slams the ghost through the desk]

 [- Like Youngblood some ghosts screw around with the living in the silliest ways just to make Danny's eye twitch] 

- I’d argue there’s a more profound influence on Danny managing his identity if he has to actively try to appear solidly human when in ghost form

- On the other hand… if appearing within human perception and physically interacting within the world is energy draining for all ghosts with the exception of halfas (as in obeying the rules of “Phantom seems more human the more drained he is before reverting”) then that holds its own potential. That’s one aspect that makes Phantom perceptibly different from the other ghosts. 

- This is new material for suspicion arcs/identity reveals 

- It makes it even easier for Amity Park residents to empathize with Phantom when he’s seen as more human 

- Thereby it’s easier for Phantom to be seen as an exception to the rule (This AU explains how the most violent and disruptive ghosts are the most humanly visible. Though this also serves as fodder for the Fenton’s going “he must have some backhanded motive albeit one convenient for Amity Park.” And I’ll stop myself at “is he truly good if he’s only self serving”) 

- Danny would have an even harder time dismantling an “all ghosts are evil” bias from his parents if he sees Phantom as a more human-like exception from ghosts. Well… I think Vlad would be his slap to the face regarding this issue

I didnt really like the newest season of hilda :(

#i dunno i felt like it kinda undermined a bit of the message #for me it was always about hilda being just a normal girl who keeps her mind open for the non human creatures and coexistence #making her super special is kind of dissapointing... and the fairies were an underdeveloped concept #it was kinda funny how everyone else was like 'fairies? thats just silly' when they also didnt know about a lot of other stuff before #like witches existing #i dunno it feels like this whole thing with the fairies should have been a bit more thought out #also i mean i really liked the dad but i would have preferred if he would have never been introduced... i mean he really was not that needed #also her granddad looks like rick from rick and morty and i cant unsee it and its breaking me #i dunno.... i really think the movie would have been the perfect end of the show... because the messages presented in the first two seasons #culminate in this finale of the trolls coming into trollberg #i dunno... #but the creature from the lake absolutely fucks #like thats the kind of shit i want to see #very bad power tool safety in that episode tho
