sorry for sappy on main but i wanted to say if you've left nice comments on my art or sent me an ask about my ocs in the last month, thank you so much, it really, really means the world to me!!♥︎
the past 3 or so years have been hell for me creatively for a lot of reasons, & even though it really knocked my confidence--i've been excited to draw & drawn more in the past month than i have in a Really Long Time ;; it's been nice
it's still something of a battle but thank you for helping me with it♥︎

my 2022 art summary. It was a very rough year for me, and I couldnt draw nearly as much as I wanted to. Im hoping 2023 has more opportunities for growth and improvement.

my memories of los angeles are flashes, a mental montage from a movie cut short by the return to real life. a giddy airport hello and a trek to the rideshare station, purple trees and yellow-orange-pink flowers dotting the streetside, a cement pot with monstera deliciosa growing out in arms like the picture of trendy green decor. a hotel view. the trader joe's. a whirlwind of oh-my-internet-friends-are-hot and hours on the sidewalk condensed down to palm trees and plastic bags and eavesdropping on strangers, a marquee, a rush, lights down to screams and screams and screams. a flash of disbelief followed by a sea of screens and a moment of wanting to swing sam around for a dance to friday I'm in love just to make a point. a sweep of confetti placed in my hands and stuffed in my purse. too many people, cheese fries and milkshakes, short goodbyes and long showers and feeling more human close to midnight. barbenheimer houses, careless whisper in a lyft, mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. chasing waves, gathering pebbles, worm tubes and seashells and friends on the beach. iced coffee, beach chairs, sky threatening rain and checking the weather to see we all left the sun back home. highway drive through mountainsides and not stopping at any lookout points. cheese puffs for dinner, muffins for dessert, 2 hours of sleep and a silent ride to the airport. I've separated myself enough from the weekend to look back and see more than just the things that had me overwhelmed. 48 hours for a concert turned into fond recollections of most everything else. warmth and friendship and glitter falling from the ceiling. almost a month gone by and I've gotten over debating regrets, what-ifs and wishing I'd done things differently. silver and blue confetti stays nestled in my phone case. to remember it by.

Looking at the number of pages in these academic texts I have to read for class or for an assignment, has made me want for once tell someone to not elaborate! Tell the short version of the story for once

finished the article and my fucking god...yall this shit was terrible and also made me laugh bc i realized how much op of that post misunderstood from the article based on their "summary" of it, they also just pretty much added their own argument about south korean women being selfish and focused on themselves. that all came from op, not the author of the article, so i think op was just sprinkling in their own heightened misogyny on top of their own stupidity.
