hey i just wanted to say that I actually really appreciate that Leo didn't get his arm back when he was resurrected. Yeah he was magically revived through wacky and improbable space time shenanigans, yeah he's still an amputee. It would have been easy to have him magically cured of his disability but you didn't go that route, and personally I'm really grateful for that.

I may sound weird now, but...to me, there's something fascinating about disabilities.

Like...like when you watch an artist who draws in Paint instead of a professional program. Or a musician who makes music from random things found under his bed. They're not doing things in a way that would be obvious. Not in a way you think is even possible or effective. Their limitations put a layer of creativity on their way of doing things that is almost impossible to guess without having similar experiences.

Something very similar I experience when I see disabilities. When someone with no arms shows me how to open a bottle cap, or someone with almost no vision talks about how they organize their things. I look at them and think, oh my god, that's amazing, I never would have thought it could be done like that??

I've barely spent any time on the subject of Leo's disability, but I want to do it more in the future. Because damn, I'm fascinated by it and I don't think I've ever seen that topic explored anywhere the way I think of it.

An explanation

Tl;dr - this blog will most likely never come back. It will remain on what is essentially an indefinite hiatus unless something else ends up happening and I change my mind.

I left randomly, and want to explain why I did, properly.

If you don't know, I'm mod Rat. I was the second TADC askblog and shortly after the creation of the Kinger blog(which you are currently on) I made @zooooble, an askblog where I attempted to write as my interpretation of Zooble as opposed to Kinger, as they were two major comforts to me at the time(along with TADC as a whole).

Unfortunately, we got off to a rocky start pretty much immediately, with someone sending gore in my asks, leading to the asks being closed right after they opened. A bit later after asks were reopened, I started getting more and more odd asks - including animal abuse on Zooble's blog, and people being very gross about Kinger here and in some instances, me. This continued until I closed up the asks, which I originally didn't know would be permanent.

This ended up lining up horribly with my irl situation aswell, not to mention the fact that I was frequently disrespected in my asks. Someone even talked bad about me in Zooble's blog, thinking we were different mods.

Through all of this other mods were having lore happen to their characters, it got so overwhelming to have to keep up on anon blogs, TADC blogs, personal blogs I haven't and never will show here, it was making this feel like a chore.

Not to mention Zooble - because of several shitposts that I now regret, people were asking me and mod Soup(owner of the Gangle blog) to make Google canon. It was and never will be canon. It is a ship that now makes me uncomfortable and as I understand it, Soup aswell as they are literally in a relationship.

I didn't want this blog to get to the state it did. I just wanted to make jokey things, but it all got so complicated so quickly. It has been atrocious for my health, mental and physical. And I decided I need to stop worrying about this post. I wanted to make something like it months ago, but I didn't want to let people down. I don't care for this blog anymore.

I started a comic at some point in here, really its mostly a blur, but I ended up falling out of TADC as the third panel was being worked on. The whole Kinger wood rot arc was just something I made to make myself feel more included since other mods were doing lore with their respective characters aswell. I regret it - he would've been better as a silly character, like I started the blog with the intent to invision him as.

The TADC fandom was alright for awhile, but at this point, I am no longer interested in TADC, the characters, story, or these blogs.

The blogs were great when they started, when it was just some people having fun, but now, everything feels so odd. It's all different and not in a good way, not to the fault of the mods at all.

@thecomicallytragicgangle is to my knowledge the most active, @jaxtherabbit is to my knowledge either on hiatus or inactive(though their blog is still fun to scroll through), @blue-tooth(Moon) I am unsure if they are active or not but they're an amazing artist and have a blog that's fun to go through, @theoneandonlysun is still active(I think), @cainetheringmaster is somewhat active, @theclownkaufmo(Abstractions) is a shared blog where to my knowledge there are still a few abstractions taking answers. There is of course askblogs not in this group, but these are the ones I was interacting with.

I believe @pomniii and @ragatha1 are inactive.

I will be floating around in some places in the internet, but now, this is my goodbye to this blog and all my other blogs on this account.

I guess this is just a lengthy post all to say:

5. pitch!!!!! i love him i love him i love him. og birb with g r e e n colors and squeaky little design. plus he's super fun to use in DL3 :] to me he is a 7 year old kid who wants to be included with the big kids, and tries to act all cool and tough to impress them (but he really just loves his mama). i like drawing him with giant ahoges/head feathers, as well as giving him that long side-beak that i'm pretty sure i got from pato from pocoyo??

4. susie is amazing and wonderful and has a beautifully complex character that more people need to recognize!!! she's a capitalist and constantly has a condescending sales representative demeanor, but at heart she's just a playful girl who loves pink and ice cream and her dad that never got to have a full childhood to experience them. ALSO cyborg susie! i like to think her father let her choose one body modification each year on her birthday, but after the portal incident, she's been giving herself so many alterations that she's barely organic anymore (her voice is very AI sounding to me). uhh i like drawing her with little stars on her cuffs, and as of late i've been making her hair very fluffy (it has the same texture of a barbie doll)

3. RIBBON AAAA!!!!!!!!! i'll admit as a kid i did not like her but god she is a joy. that is a little girl! look at her! i love the idea of her being just a weird little chihuahua girl who performs seances regularly and knows the entire history of weaponry. also her being the crystal knight/guardian of ripple star headcanon!!! 🗣️🗣️ she is 100% the queen's adopted sister prove me wrong. lastly, i try to draw her as heart-shaped as possible— wings, head, hair, bow, eye highlights all vaguely resemble a heart and that is my biggest rule when i draw her. her little coat thing is inspired by @//somethinginworl 's design <33

2. bandana dee is my heart and soul and we tolerate ZERO disrespect for him here. even in canon, he's got one of the most well-defined personalities and backstories for a non-villain character! (in my heart he is the waddle dee from 64 and you can pry this from me with my cold dead hands) he's grown sososo much and i love how hal recognizes his development :]]] he may never amount to the same power as kirby, but goddammit if he doesn't have a heart and will of a true warrior 💜 i don't have a lot of idiosyncratic design choices since he's such a simple character, but his bandana ears must always be HUGE you hear me.

1. um. if you can't tell. i am very normal about adeleine. her moves in SA are super fun to use (and challenging), and oh my goshhhh the angst potential here. i am begging hal to bring her back in future games, especially with the more ancients-focused lore being incorporated recently. at heart though, i just really adore seeing her draw and paint amidst all these magical creatures in her life <3 she's slightly shy but super passionate, and is definitely kirby's big sister with her advice (especially in the storybooks!) and nicknames for him (kir-kun/kirbs in the manga). i caved long ago and gave her curtain bangs, and i really like dressing her up and experimenting with different outfits! *breathes heavily* the happy little artist kid makes me a very happy little artist kid 🫶

A little rant about leaks because I'm lowkey dreading them. And I'd appreciate it if you'd read it (and if not... 👁👁).

I find the jjk fandom's (though it's true for others too) reliance on leaks very off-putting. I know people want to look forward to something in the middle of the week and talk about it, but this just feels disrespectful, while also being at the cost of other people getting to enjoy it as they want to whether you care about getting spoiled or not.

So many people just don't tag leaks and spoilers properly (forget places where tagging doesn't even make a difference). Seeing things trending with the context of previous chapters explains everything. Not to mention people mis-tagging spoilers and leaks interchangeably (you can remove leak tags after the chapter is officially published but not spoiler tags!!) And no, you're not subtle with your 'out of context spoilers' to someone who has all previous context.

But what boggles my mind is why would you want someone to shout the punchline of a joke in your face before any of the setup has been done. You'll have a bunch of deepfried 2 pixel screenshot of screenshot quality manga panels of crucial moments with none of the build up and pacing. Paired with the most lacklustre explainations of what's happening (the phrasing of which can be biased to the leaker's opinions). Translating isn't easy. To convey what exactly something means from one language to another in an effective and in the intended way isn't easy (shoutout to fan translators tho y'all are amazing thank you for your time and effort)

And whether you care about the story or not, heck even if you think the mangaka themself doesn't care about it, it is just so disrespectful to the content that you're consuming. Making comics and manga isn't easy (churning them weakly is insane imo esp when a lot of mangaka aren't even full time artists) so why wouldn't you allow yourself to consume their story the way they've themself laid it out. Where one panel comes after the other. Where one expression has context in the next page. Where a dialogue has weight only when placed with another dialogue. Give the creator(s) this little grace too, because whether you like a story or not, there is still a huge amount of effort and skill, by multiple people, going into it.

And I personally love interacting with the fandoms I'm in, literally sometimes the only source of joy I have (yes ik leave me alone) is interacting with other fans and having my mind blown over their art and writing and theories. And I'd rather not be spoiled unless I'm myself seeking them out or just reading the actual chapter. So this involves me either spoiling it for myself before someone else does it, or spoiler dodging for 5 OUT OF 7 DAYS A WEEK EVERY WEEK.

I'm not even saying you should only look for official sources or whatever because I know not everyone has access to legal places to read (tho the shounen jump app is there for those interested, but yeah i get it for other publications), but there are better ways to read/hate-readyour fav/least fav manga out there without ruining it for someone else. The wait is juuust a couple of days more. There is absolutely no dearth of fan made content that can't help you last another few days, maybe your new fav fan creator is right around a little wait (ahem check my bs out if you'd like ahem ahem).

I just want to be able to interact with the fandom for more than just 2 days a week, and I don't like my accounts dying because i dissapear 5 days either, and is that a such a bad thing? I come online to have fun, not run an obstacle race y'know?

A friendly—possibly not friendly—reminder that no one is forcing you to read fanfic or view certain fanart.

We live in a world where we have this really cool thing called free will. If you don’t like a fic/art, you can stop reading/viewing it. And you don’t have to insult the creator. (I know, it’s a mind-boggling concept.)

I’ve seen an alarming increase in the amount of people leaving rude comments on both fanfic and fanart. Comments ranging from “Your characters are annoying”, “[Writer]’s story is better than yours”, “I don’t like this fic/art”, “You’re portraying [character] wrong”, etc. to downright mean comments belittling writers/artists. 

[Newsflash: Your hateful comments do not need to be publicly shared. The world will keep revolving without them.]

It’s 2023. I don’t know why people need to be reminded of this. But disrespecting and attacking writers/artists just because you didn’t like their work is a shitty thing to do. 

Most hateful comments derive from two sources: 1) minors who are so jaded by youth (and are typically new to fandom) think their mean opinions deserve to be shared; and 2) adults who live such miserable lives they have nothing better to do than spew hate. If you’re the first, welcome to the real world. Kindness and humbleness are qualities people desire in friendships and relationships. Being a hateful git won’t get you anywhere in life. If you’re the second, it’s not too late to get your life together. You can join your fellow adults and drop the immature, spiteful act.  Therapy is also a great way to conquer your personal issues and overcome your misery; and you’ll find more peace and contentment in life.

Fanfic writers and fan-artists are humans who have a creative passion. Most aren’t professional writers/artists. They do this for fun. And they do not deserve your rude, immature, hateful comments.

I know some people will intentionally misread this. So let me make this clear: You have every right to dislike certain fics/fanart. I’ve read plenty of fics across multiple fandoms I’ve DNF’d. And I’ll read plenty more that I don’t enjoy.

Art is subjective. We all have different tastes.

But to disrespect a writer/artist on a public forum, or, even worse, to insult them in their own comment section or DMs is pure maliciousness. And quite frankly, it’s fucking pathetic.

Dislike fics/fanart all you want. But don’t bash/attack/hate on the writer/artist/fans.

To the fic writers and fan-artists, you all are amazing. Your creativity is appreciated and yearned for. Please keep doing what you’re doing.

Ladies & Gentlemen : Head-cannons

[Someone suggested I should this so here we are]

-Stephan was definitely chased around by people who only wanted to be his friend to get a leg up in higher class society, so he always avoided them and made himself seem unpleasant. He’s likely never had any real friends before Francois DuPont.

-His type is artistic people with multiple talents. He won’t entertain anyone who is all talk and no effort as shown when he rebuffed Lila and shut down Adrien.

-For their first date, Stephan would most likely take Marinette to an amusement park, fashion museum, or a fancy night dinner.

-If Stephan were to ruin Adrien’s life, he would do it socially as his father would frown at trying to ruin Gabriel’s company. But he has no qualms about trying to outshine the company.

-Stephan’s father was the one who taught him everything about social manipulation and intimidation tactics. He had to get his attitude from somewhere.

-Stephan loves Marinette’s designs, but loves modeling them for her even more.

-Marinette is his first girlfriend and the first person he’d ever been curious about. Whenever they spend time together, they usually go to parks and hang out at her internships.

-Before going to Francois DuPont, Stephan only used manipulation for himself and only his vindictive side if he was provoked or disrespected first. Now with Marinette and his friends, he’d use his social charm to protect them from others.

-He’s an Aquarius, that’s for sure.

-For model work, he is actually very active to the clothing designing process more than the modeling part, though does enjoy it.

-Any person who tries to harm Marinette can say good bye to their social life. Messing with Stephan is basically like committing social suicide.

-Marinette is unaware of the threats toward Adrien and finds Stephan to be amazing.

-She secretly resents Adrien for never standing up for her whenever Lila started on her BS.

-Despite his morally grey methods, all of her friends support their relationship because deep down, Stephan is a good person.

-I can imagine him being the new Cat hero if Adrien were removed from the team.

-In his conquest to destroy anyone who is a threat to his plans or happiness, he has shown resourcefulness and wits, as shown when he patiently (found) compiled a bunch of clips of Chat Noir’s less than noble moments and used his platform to promote the evidence in order to shake Paris’ faith in the hero. Yeah, his reach is wide spread. I wouldn’t get on his bad side.

-He’d have no problem getting Lila blacklisted from the fashion and photography industries if she tries anything funny.

-Lila may be a charming liar, but Stephan is a charismatic genius, capable of wrapping an entire school around his fingers, charm an entire city as the new hero, and bring about social demise to anyone who tries to cross him.

-He is a very attentive and caring boyfriend who is always willing to listen and can pick up on any questions that show if Marinette is upset.

The Public Domain Discourse, as I decided to call it ("characters and works should never enter the Public Domain because that's disrespectful to the original artist") is fascinating to experience.

You see, I usually stay very successfully away from fandom discourses. The way I'm doing this is by completely ignoring everything and everyone, and just doing my own thing. Said thing consists to a good part out of older media, because old media fandoms are chill as fuck. There are usually around five people at a time talking about whatever thing, and it is very easy to be friendly if you know that there are only five of you. Even if you don't like something that someone does, you put some effort into ignoring it and focus on the fact that at least this person likes the same thing you do. I have read fic before that features a ship that borderline squicks me out, because it also featured a pulp hero I was hyperfocussing on at the moment and couldn't find anything else. And I had a lovely conversation with the author in the comment section. A lot of old media fandoms is just telling people that the Thing even exists. Or someone draws a picture, maybe writes a story. I have seen a lot of analysis.

So that's what it is normally like. Now suddenly in the middle of it all burst a bunch of randos yelling about how the Public Domain shouldn't exist, because what if somebody makes Bad Art with it. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW AMAZING SOME BIGGER PROFILE ART ABOUT SOME OF MY FAVORITE HEROES WOULD BE?!

Just watched ATSV and I have a few things to say:

1.) It’s really aggravating that so many people are hyperfocusing on the tiny detail of Gwen having a trans flag in her room. It’s honestly disrespectful to this fucking beautiful film to fixate on this one insignificant thing that doesn’t matter AT ALL. Whether Gwen is canonically trans or not, who gives a shit? The flag was there regardless. It pisses me off because one of the first things I heard about this movie was arguments over whether Gwen was trans or not and IT’S FUCKING STUPID!!!! This movie is so beautiful and wonderful and emotional and artistic and chilling and gut wrenching and THAT is what you took from it? As a trans person, it literally doesn’t fucking matter if she’s trans or not. Even if she’s “just” an ally, that’s amazing too! Stop being dicks. Whether you’re pro-trans Gwen or anti-, just shut your mouth.

2.) I DON’T THINK MIGUEL IS ATTRACTIVE 😭😭 I’m sorry but he looks like an animal from an old Barbie film…. Not digging it. Also he’s kind of a dick? But if you find him hot, whatever, you do you.

3.) I kind of think that Miguel was right. Taking the story at face value: It was selfish of Miles to choose saving his father/himself over the entirety of the multiverse. However, looking at the story from a symbolic, breaking-the-chains-of-conformity way, I side with Miles. Based on the literal story, I think Miles should’ve taken one for the team. But, of course, if I was in his situation, I would want to save myself and my father too. It’s just complicated. Overall, I think Miguel’s argument was logical. I’m not concrete on this though and if you want to sway me, please do!

4.) I’m gonna be thinking about this movie for the next three years okay thank you

hello qsmp enjoyers, here's my goodbye to a server that saved my days for a year now

i don't know what will happen with the qsmp in the future but i just can't put myself in it anymore

i feel disrespected by the choices Quackity's Studios made, as a french person, but also as someone who's been abused as a worker. I understand that the process may be long (every administrative stuff is hell) for the studio to solve the financial and hierarchical situation, and I believe Quackity did everything to solve the issue as fast as he could (it's a belief, at no point i'm saying this is the truth of course).

however, i do not agree with him being neglectful towards his own project, towards his own admins, towards the qsmp community, i do not agree with him being radio silent towards his employees/volunteers, not thanking them once they left, not communicating anything to them about their own future, i do not agree with him either being blind to their loudly expressed needs or purposely ignoring them, i do not agree with him telling everyone "stuff takes time" but also allowing new events to happen on the server, and i'm extremely disappointed in this whole situation, because it divides more than ever a community and a project that i, among a lot of other people, cherish since a year now, when simple mesures such as COMMUNICATION were ignored.

frankly i think that most of the people would have better understood and been patient if Quackity's Studios didn't keep on announcing new events like nothing was happening

the reason i'm not talking too much about the financial issue is that : 1. I believe finding a way to pay admins that are still in the qsmp is a priority to Quackity nowadays, along with firing those who mistreated the employees/volunteers ; 2. I believe they will find a solution regarding the incomes (merch actually being a means to pay the admins is one of them)

i'm writing this during qsmp awards, i know a lot of ccs will be there. i'm a little hurt and disappointed but at the same time, i know some of them have a personal relation to Quackity that we as viewers don't have, they have their reasons to trust Quackity, i just don't agree with them, but please, no hate towards them or to people who'll watch the future events

it's a goodbye even though no one knows me lmao (i spent hours and hours watching, filling the vods of timestamps, translating youtube clips, even drawing again since a long time, i filled in the qsmp fandoms, did presentation docs and put hours into spreadsheets of the ccs statistics), but know that being a part of this community was a life experience for me, in so many ways, i'm forever thankful for the people who made this project possible, i'll miss sharing my hyperfixation with you all

🎨 also, I saved a bunch of qsmp fanarts that I didn't want to rb because I didn't want to support in any way what was happening, i didn't want to make people feel like watching the streams was ok, instead, I wanted to let the most room for any info about the admins' situation

i realize now that it wasn't fair, their art comes from a place of love, and whatever their reason was to continue watching qsmp despite all that was happening is not my business. They did art, and good art, so i'll reblog the last qsmp fanarts and probably will continue to share some from time to time

🩵 big big thanks to the artists and the ccs for creating such an amazing universe, i hope you'll keep the spirit and maybe leave with good friends, and obviously i'm so proud of all the eggies (by that I mean their admins), who have spoken up and left a project despite their obvious love for it, thanks to Lea for starting all this, freeing admins from an unbearable situation they might have not even recognized as so at the time

i don't know if i'll be back, for now i need to step back, but if i see one day that the situation got all fixed and safe and that actual apologies were made, then maybe i'll come back to this unique qsmp (it'll certainly feel changed tho)

Hi! Can i ask how would Lucifer, Fizzmodeus and Alastor react to reader that likes to draw, and they learned about it when they looked into the skechbook reader is often seen drawing in, mostly sketches of the characters, sometimes in a meme format.

This is similar to the other ask I had about the Reader who was an artist but never got their art put up. So I've kinda already answered for Lucifer and Alastor.

They'd all praise them and be pleasantly surprised... well, Alastor already knew, probably thanks to his shadow stalking, er I mean, watching you. He'll make a big show of how surprised he is and how good he thinks you are, and then he'll put them up around the Hotel with your permission. Annnd we all know what happens when someone dares insult it in any way.

Finds the memes of other people funny but if you're disrespecting him you're going to get a firm pat on the butt.

Lucifer is absolutely amazed by their creativity and passion, and regardless of their skill level he thinks they're an amazing little artist. Will take any chance to brag on them if they let him share it. He finds the memes funny though may need them to explain something in order for him to get it.

Fizzarolli and Asmodeus are absolutely in love with the drawings. At the risk of sounding ignorant they didn't think that drawing would be something you'd be interested, assuming this ask is about the Wrath imp Reader in my fic. However, they apologize for any prejudice they showed by their surprise and compliment your work on its own merits as opposed to "good for a Wrathian". Expect it to be hanging up around the house, they'll probably clear a room for you as your own little art studio and everything. Fizz personal find your memes hilarious even the ones about him.
