My classes started last week and I'm very excited to be back. I'm taking a class about Autobiographical Documentaries and I think I've said this so many times already but it's one of my favorite genres to study. I just find it fascinating.

This week we watched the mockumentary David Holzman's diary (1967), directed by Jim McBride, and it's such a genius and absurd film. Next week, we'll be watching Ed Pincus' Diaries (1982) and I'm like hell yeah, bring those 4 hour films because this is the only way I'll ever watch them lmao.

I listened to a lot of songs today with my sister, but I belive the last one was august by Taylor Swift.

🧡: Ideal pizza toppings?

Fries/baked potatoes for sure, because I just love potatoes and carbs to an embarrassing degree. And I like to add either saussage or tuna. Then I guess saussage + pecorino cheese, and courgettes + grana padano cheese.

💛: Dream vacation?

I have a lot of dream destination, just this morning I was thinking about how much I'd like to visit Florence and Pisa.

💚: Earth, air, fire or water?

Uhm, I'm gonna say air? Just because I've been reading Čechov's The Steppe (which I'm loving, btw) lately, and he does such an amazing job at romanticizing the air and the sky and outer space!

💙: Cartoon you grew up with?

Winnie the Pooh, Rolie Olie Polie, Bugs Bunny, Pimpa... I can't really choose one.

💜: Favourite scent?

Black tea leaves, especially a good East African English Breakfast. Then homebaked cakes, and my mother's homemade tomato sauce. :)

day 2/10 of productivity

cute lil snapshot of one of my fave parts of my bedroom (super hard to choose tho!)

kinda a wild day today. brought my car in to get an estimate on getting some stuff fixed, which'll be more than anticipated. my phone also has decided to not let the instacart shopped app work on data so i'm gonna be missing out on income, but i'll figure it out! i got to spend time with my best friend throughout the day and that really helped me deal with the stress

since working for the day was a wash, i cooked up dinner for myself and my roomie, am planning out my to do list for the next few days and watching the new birds of prey movie (waaaaay better than the first!!!)

Day 1• Introduce yourself! What’s some basic info you’d like to share about yourself? Also! What are you studying? (If you’re in college, what’s your major? which semester are you in?)

Hi! I’m Sky. I’m 19 years old.

I’m from Mexico. I like to read, paint and play videogames. I can play the violin and a little bit of piano.

I’m studying medicine. I’m just trying to get my life together and learn as much as I can.

I love watching kdramas and reading

Day 2• If you’ve chosen a major, why did you decide on it? If you’re in any other grade , what field/major interests you the most?

Medicine!

Ever since I was little, I’ve thought about studying medicine... (Along with literature, philosophy, biology, some engineering...) don’t hate me, I’m not trying to be egocentric or something like that... I just want to learn as much as I can!

But I guess I chose medicine in the end because we’re all humans after all, I want to know why we are the way we are. I want to know the way our body works, the way our mind works.

I wanna be able to save people, to help people. I want to make a difference.

Day 3• Have you done a challenge before? If so, how was it? If not, what are you expecting to get out of this experience?

Yes I have!

I love challenges!! The promps are amazing and I love to get to know other people!

Sunday // 1/8/2020

It’s already August! Time has been flying by so fast and I’m getting really anxious about my scholarship application and my IELTS. I’ve just booked my IELTS exam yesterday and I have another 2 weeks left to study for it. AND not to mention my impending end to glorious summer holidays :’). I’ve been taking advantage of my time during the summer and have been going out to study. Being at home makes it difficult to concentrate so sometimes I like to take the train and just find a place to study. This is what’s in my bag whenever I go out to study. Best part of it is that my bag is two-way so it’s super duper functional and I had it thrifted for RM30. SUCH A STEAL GUYS. Same goes with my snoopy mirror and pencil box (both were RM2). As for the drawstring pouch, I had crocheted that last year during my winter vacation and I use it to store small things like my mirror, earphones and mouse! Wherever you guys are, I hope you’re staying safe and healthy. Please wear a mask when you head out and don’t forget to sanitise and social distance yourself whenever possible!
