Okay, I’ve been on a romance kick lately and this hit the spot. High powered lesbian boss showing people how amazing she? Cool as hell bisexual assistant coming into her own in the tv industry? Sign me up. It has drunken kisses, “boss” as a term of endearment/turn on, a lot of mutual pining, and a healthy dose of focus on their actual lives as well. It has a sexual harassment plot point as well and I think handled it very well.

Definitely a fun, cute read for when you’re feeling light hearted.

Star Trek: The Animated Series - Daily Spock

This week's Star Trek: The Animated Series episode is the season 1 finale, 'The Jihad.' It was a hoot.

Leonard Nimoy drawn as Commander Spock.

Episode synopsis: A team comprising various experts (Kirk and Spock among them) must recover an artifact known as the Soul of the Skorr. The theft must be kept secret or a galactic holy war could break out.

They accomplish the mission and the galaxy is saved again. All in a day's work.

Scotty's the only original cast member on the bridge (although actor James Doohan voiced navigator Lt. Arex as well) in this shot from the STTAS episode Once Upon A Planet.

Note the unnamed character at the helm. He is wearing a red shirt with a command division assignment patch, instead of an operations division assignment patch (which all "red shirts" had). I doubt the patch was mixed up in production; this was most likely a coloring mistake. Filmation LOVED to color everything red!

Except, that is, when they weren't coloring everything pink, was was seen extensively in this series.
