Could you tell us about your current favourite item (or few favourite items) of clothing at the moment?

Right now I have 2 pieces of clothing that are my faves. One is my Jake the dog shirt and the other is a pair of overalls I bought recently

I bought this shirt 2 years ago and from the beginning it doesn't really close cause boobs but I still wear it open with something underneath. It's always the first thing on my wardrobe so I see it when I open it cause it just makes me smile so big. I LOVE this shirt and will always keep it with me.

These overalls are soo great! The fabric is stretchy and soft so I can jump, squat, run and do whatever I want in them (not that I actually do any of those things 😅) they're just so incredibly comfortable and I wear them all the time

LMFAOOO based on that post, I was just thinking like...

You can't spend every waking moment as a group of three, right? So everything you do they're reporting to each other, whether it's just what you had for lunch, if you kissed both of them good morning before you left... and (most importantly) if + when you start bratting around with them.

It's not so much like, talking shit as it is just them... discussing what it all meant. I feel like poly!bkdk is veryyy much about communication and kindness, so when you're sassy, rude, needy, or ANYTHING really... they're gonna talk about it with each other like a two person football team in a huddle.

It's just:

"Did you hear that? They told me to shut up?" + "To shut up??? Wtf, didn't you buy them a coffee and shit earlier?" + "YEAH and they didn't even finish it. What's going on???"

Or,

"did y/n kiss u earlier?" + "no why?" + "k good." + "why?" "WHY?" "WHY??????"

OR EVEN,

"why was y/n in a Red Riot sweatshirt?" + "THEY WERE? WHEN???"

But anyway, this probably happens ALL the time. It's all really well meaning because if it's just steam you're looking to expel (and you just like... want attention), they're really understanding and absolutely the right guys to help... but at the same time, you also can't get away with a lot without them figuring out what it all means before you even get a chance to explain.

You get home from a long and hard day and before you can even put down your bag, they're ON you like flies and you just know they had a lil gossip session about your attitude from earlier... but LOL pros and cons, you know?

(And they definitely gossip to you when they have shit to say about the other, too. You are NOT left out of the fun even if it does mean listening to a 15 minute rant about how Deku ate all the ice cream Bakugo was saving LOOOL)

Latest sewing project: the Pauline Alice Romero sailor trousers!

I've had a bit of a hankering after a pair since they made something similar (albeit with a more complicated pocket construction) on The Great British Sewing Bee a few months ago, and alighted on this pattern as it was pretty much what I wanted and the PDF was a reasonable price. I sadly don't have as much to spend on my sewing as I used to since I quit my job during the pandemic so I'm always on the hunt for a bargain and I saved about half the price by getting the PDF from the designer's website rather than buying the printed pattern. I just had to add some length to the legs as the style is cropped; I'm a shorty at 5' 3" but increased the length by four inches because I like my trousers to hit the middle of my foot and to give myself a decent hem to play with.

As fitting trousers is always tricky to get right I knew I'd have to toile and first made the shorts option as a wearable version in some leftover chambray. From there I discovered that even having adjusted the back rise in line with my go-to trouser patterns (Closet Core Sasha and their Ginger jeans) I'd have to add another centimetre or so, as well as increasing the front rise by twice that. The construction is straightforward; once you've sorted the pocket and button placket it's all very simple and even that first bit isn't what I would call complicated.

I made the final pair from a heavy cotton drill which is the ideal weight for these trousers; you need something structured to make them hang properly. My only caveat is that this does inevitably make the button placket a bit bulky. I had to partially unpick the side seams and tug the edges of the plackets over a bit further than the legs to try and make them sit a bit flatter. It’s better but not perfect and that's something I'd play with when making another pair.

These trousers need a lot of buttons; ten in fact! They make it a bit fiddly getting them on and off but fortunately I only need to undo three, otherwise I'd be there forever. The pocket lining is some leftover cotton lawn.

On the whole, they turned out well and I'm really pleased. 😁
