Hi this song is very good for upsie (and his siblings) actually :) the first half is great for his running away from home, and the second half fitting more with him settling down with the streets characters ^v^ to me though the flightless bird refers to his elder sister (the one who’s head is fire) who can’t move on from her home life and didn’t get away safely like upside did (hence the jealous) and the American mouth refers to his little sister (gas mask girl), who follows after the other two but tries to improve in a healthier way and break their sort of family cycle, if that makes any sense

Here’s ur streets cast summary :) They all live in a shitty ally house/apartment together cus it’s REALLY hard to find housing as a mismatch* so these mofo’s were all homeless (well upsie was more of a nomad, but same idea.)

i mean except catscratch, it doesnt exactly live in the house, it like, sleeps on the porch and steals the food upsie leaves out for them lol (not the clothes he buys for it though, unfortunately.)

*a mismatch is just a monster who both is not considered part of any specific monster species group socially and can not pass as a human. Humans don’t want them and monsters don’t want them, f

2 streets text posts for the price of one under the cut cus making actual text posts makes me nervous, enjoy info

- spoons is the kinda guy to start applauding at a magician (cough esket) shuffling cards before theyve even gotten to the trick. His head is literally empty hes so amazed by everything and also so, so stupid (/affectionate)

- upsie and cat scratches relationship is great bcus Catscratch is literally the reason upsie decided to get the house, cus he didn’t want her to be homeless, but then it just refused to live with him. They literally could barely communicate for their first month as friends cus Catscratch can’t write or speak + English isn’t its best language, and neither of them thought of using sign language because both assumed the other wouldnt know sign language until upsie caught catscratch gossiping to their cats about him in asl. Both of them thought they were way older than the other and upsie was subconsciously parenting catscratch and didn’t find out it was 48 years old until after months of thinking they were a teenager or a youngish adult. these 2 are literally never on the same wave length in the slightest, and yet somehow they make it work

Oo oo I have another lil question about Upsie-

Is his vision upside down, or right side up? :0

Oh this was something I put quite a bit of thought into back when I first made him, and he actually sees right side up! He’s mostly human, he was just born with a magical deformity, which means that when he was born his vision was naturally upside down like human babies. irl Human eyes see things upside down, and then the brain turns it right side up, which is usually something that starts shortly into a babies life (just like how babies vision is super blurry at first and then adjusts), but I figure for upside his brain would never have actually developed that extra step since he’s already seeing the world in the way that makes the most sense! His vision may be inverted like a human, but his head is also already upside down so it ends up cancelling out and he just sees things like normal but with slightly less extra brain image processing than normal thanks to not having to flip it lol

Juniors: Teenage childhood best friends fuck around and do spirit hunting and shit

Labs: some nerds researching magic and creating solutions for problems in monster life, with a pinch of will they won't they relationship stuff.

Just another dreamland: What the FUCK is going on in this story just a couple of kids trapped in a weird ass fuckin dreamscape, and some of the kids (COUGH KEVIN) are bastards who keep making it into a nightmare.*

*Kevin is a dream fragment now instead of a person lol

Logs: two robots forced in a room to banter for the sake of studying their communication capabilities.

little witch of the wood: some little witches living in the woods and hanging out.

Not a word: the two newest employees at an art gallery discover a magical world inside the paintings, and the dark secret behind them.

Nuts interlude: child doesn't understand stranger danger and absolutely refuses to

Pokémon jams: a cover band of three excited middle schoolers, with some fun magical adventures, rivalry with other bands, old and new friends visiting the cast, and cool songs mixed in!

Raspberry picking: Just two girls stranded in a cabin together with nothing but their music and their jam, they might kiss

Remy and the rest of this title: two friends trying to survive a planetary apocalypse suddenly have alien prisoners assigned public service duty on their planet dropped into their laps.

Schoolland: just elementary schoolers doing child things like sleepovers, drawing, pretending to be ninjas, etc. but theres ~magic~ in unexpected places!

The Backroom: After the escape of the detention kids, three weird artsy kids discover the magical world of detention, and strangely, they don't want to leave.

The fine cuisine of man: two powerful cannibalistic ancient gods adopt a mean little orphan psychic girl, slightly evil found family shenanigans ensue.

The last man on earth (and the congregation of ghosts): two con-men try to convince an out-of-touch-with-society congregation of ghosts that they are the last man on earth, and that the other one is a liar, in order to score the precious artifacts the ghosts hold.

The Skyfall Friendlies: kid moves to the underwater camp and uncovers some sinister truths about the seemingly pleasant place.

the unnamed spooky dog story (DOGGY!): anthropomorphic dog with clinical anxiety tries to protect a little girl, who’s father is his abusive owner.
