So people are talking about a post in the Zolu tag by a certain tumblr user in regards to their issues with Zolu as a ship. They shall be unnamed because i dont wish to bring attention to them and instead just want to focus on their arguments because they're not the first people to make some of these points and so this is also an opportunity for me to talk about these things (a tweet is going around on Twitter containing these screenshots with the username so you can find it there if you need to anyway).
Tumblr media
The way this person dismisses the relationship between Zoro and Luffy as a result of needing to pair gay Zoro with someone is too laughable, they must be very fit in order to be able to do these mental gymnastics. I believe that many people who are going on about the Zolu scenes in the OPLA were already Zolu shippers who were familiar with the original story and are enjoying the moments because they were well, really good Zolu moments? And there is actually, shockingly, many good Zolu moments in the original story too which is why many people ship them. Wild, I know.
Then there's 'straight-washed Sanji'. Equally if not more of a bizarre thing to believe. I might make some people mad especially the Sanji stans out there who constantly insist on the 'repressed queer' narrative with his character, but Sanji is written pretty explicitly to be seen as a cisgender and heterosexual character. The way you say with your whole chest that Luffy is 'canonically' aroace but don't acknowledge that Sanji is 'canonically' cishet is beyond hypocritical. If you believe Sanji looking like a 'misogynistic straight man' is different from the way he is written in canon then maybe you should go back and reread/rewatch series with your eyes open this time. If you wish to headcanon him with the frankly offensive repressed bisexual/transgender cliché then go ahead, but that is clearly not the intention Oda has with his character.
There's also the fact that aroace people can uh. Be in relationships. Get married. Have children. Did it occur to you that many people who ship Zolu ship them as an ace couple or-
Tumblr media
First thing I want to say here, as a trans man who is 'mlm', can other dudes stop with this idea that women or fem-aligned individuals enjoying homosexual relationships between two men is inherently fetishising or that as a masc-aligned individual your enjoyment of a ship is morally superior in some way. Stop pulling out your 'mlm/ transmasc / cis gay' card in order to justify why your ship is superior. Its cringe af.
But if we are to insist that 'cishet female gaze fetishising mlm' is going on then ironically Zosan fits that the better than any ship in the fandom. It being by far the most popular mlm ship means there is likely a higher proportion of people who identify as cishet women who ship it. Its also the classic 'two men who dislike/hate eachother and have a toxic relationship but hot sexual tension' slash/yaoi stereotype. Majority of Zosan I've come across is depicting Zoro as the masculine male man in the relationship while Sanji the effeminate twink that Sanji stans project themselves onto and they go crazy for the bickering that is apparently reminiscent to them of a toxic heterosexual marriage. Meanwhile every Zolu/Luzo shipper I've interacted with has been some flavour of queer and Zolu is closest to the 'falling in love with your same sex bestie' narrative that the majority if not every non-heterosexual person has experienced at least once in their lifetime. This is just my personal view of course, but I think noting a difference in perspective on this topic is interesting and reveals that at the end of the day this is totally subjective and based purely on anecdotes.
Also it's just a very weird point here that apparently OP has 'plenty of varied queer rep' (it actually doesn't have that many canonical queer characters in relation to its cast size but anyway) and other media doesn't so shipping aroace characters in gay relationships is valid in those but not in One Piece … HUH???? So you're saying if One Piece had 'less' queer rep, then Zolu would be fine to ship? Idek my brain hurts.
Tumblr media
"I have black friends so I'll speak for the black community and get offended for them" (btw this person then proceeded to block aroace people who had issues with their depiction of aroace people).
Also if we're talking canonical depictions, the only thing Zoro has been canonically depicted as is also aroace, equally if not moreso than Luffy. So by your own rules, you can't ship a cishet (sanji) with an aroace (zoro), therefore Zosan is now invalid. Stop erasing Zoro's aroace identity bigot.
Tumblr media
'Categorically wrong' makes me laugh. I don't ship Zoro and Nami but like, people can ship what they want to??
'The general public is aware enough of gay people and how to spot them these days' uh... firstly this sounds very homophobic. Secondly the general public (cishet ppl) are famously bad at recognising queerness even when its in flashing lights before them. Thirdly you make it sound like Zoro was going around on roller skates and booty shorts listening to YMCA and Madonna in the show. I do agree he was gay-coded but it was mostly because he had sexual tension with every man he interacted with, not for the strange reasons you pointed out...
Its kinda the elephant in the room too but like. These are just headcanons. You can have multiple headcanons and interpretations of a character's sexuality. I can see Zoro as aroace virgin one day and a gay h*e the next. I'm actually allowed, legally, to do that.
Tumblr media
The way they think shipping Zolu is harmful to aroace representation when BOTH characters are closest to being canonically aroace than anything yet ship Zosan, label being anti-Zolu as some kind of pro-ace activism, and then proceeded to block aroace people for criticising their incorrect depiction of what being aroace is...
This was a lot of words to say that you don't like a ship. Just say you don't like it, and it gets in the way of the ship you like, instead of writing a virtue signalling essay to justify your reasoning. Please.
They had some more to say on future posts I'll just pick my favourite bits
Tumblr media
They really have this narrative that Zolu is only popular because of OPLA and can't fathom that its just a popular ship in general and always has been huh. And they couldn't make it more obvious that they're totally salty about it ranking in the top 100 most popular tumblr ships, lmao.
Tumblr media
Your classic case of 'self-identifying ally who speaks over the people they are supposed allies of'. Its a general rule that you feel the need to declare yourself an ally you're probably not an ally, actual allies know they need to just shut up and do the work. Saying 'this character's aroace' and 'I have aroace friends' actually isn't what allyship is, thats just accepting that ace people exist which is like... the baseline.
Tumblr media
Calling a wholesome loving ship like Zolu an icky ship is a severe consequence of online brain (this person is 26 years old btw)

this is weird. but i'm finally learning how to befriend and associate with cishet women again without assuming the worst of them. it sounds dumb but i honestly was taught that cishet women are just the most privileged of the marginalized people. like the abled cishet white guy of the spectrum of marginalizations. like feminism was at the very bottom of the oppression pole, and discussions abt it were needed sometimes, but only very rare times, bc other marginalizations were more important. misogyny was a footnote of every leftist discussion. always the last thing on the to-do list. it was like women were only truly marginalized if they had another axis of oppression. it's wild af. i still keep thinking of cishet women as not being relatable to me at all even though we are deeply connected on the basis of womanhood. i'm only just now starting to feel connected to the bond of sisterhood again, and not just the one between me and my lesbian/bi friends, the one i share with all female people
i'm truly sorry to the cishet women around me over the years as a teen & young adult who i saw as totally unrelatable to me, to the point of not deserving my close friendship. all bc i was a butch lesbian and thought that meant we didn't have a kinship at all. that's what i learned from tumblr dot com honestly. but through my new friendships with cishet women i've actually found that we have soooo much in common and it's been so healing!! i've been so scared that i'd be treated as a creep but i really feel welcome in feminism, like feminism was always wayyy more open-minded about gayness than the rest of society. bio women and transmasc ppl are generally MUCH more likely to be leftist than other people. bc they had parallel experiences to mine under patriarchal society. i wish i had learned this sooner. if radfeminism hadn't been smeared as 100% transphobic and evil i would've looked into it way sooner and reallyyy benefited from having a space in radfeminism... i really missed out. it breaks my heart honestly! i'm so grateful to radical feminism and straight radfems for being so welcoming to us gays!! i love my sisters <3

hi guys. i don't like to make posts like this but i figure i'd just want to clear some things up
first things first, i do not support OMOCAT and please get off my page if you do.
i know a lot of people are going to tell me that it was a long time ago. and i know. i know that people change and i do have faith that OMOCAT doesn't do the stuff she did anymore, but that isn't my problem
if you aren't aware of the extent of what she's said, it wasn't just the shota shirt. here are some ss of deleted tweets from 2012-2014.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
if you're wondering, she has made an apology about the shirt she made about a year after she released it, stating that the definition had changed since then and she felt it was no longer appropriate
basically her whole thing was that it didn't mean that to her, and that it just meant little boy
and, to be quite honest, in this situation i don't care what 'shota' means, because either way it doesn't make her look any better. making a shirt with a picture of an anime boy with the words 'little boy' on it isn't much of an improvement.
and what's worse is her tweets. again, 'little boy underwear' doesn't sound any better than 'shota underwear'. in her tweet as of nov 2013, BEFORE the shirt was removed, she made the tweet that said,
'what does shota mean' 'uh'
i feel this pretty much implies that she knows in a lot of circumstances it has some sort of sexual connotation to it. and the tweet about people flipping their shit when they see her shota underwear???
a grown woman tweeting about 'how she doesn't like *all* little boys but thinking about her 3rd grade crush makes her flustered* is just straight out pedophilia, u cannot deny that this is weird af
i dislike cancel culture. i don't think people should have their lives ruined for making mistakes, but this was not a mistake. saying 'omori is hot wow good shota' about a 12 year old character she created isn't really something u can just bounce back from imo
the thing about the underwear and her apology only being about the shirt is the most gross to me. i think it's apparent that even if she didn't think shota is an erotic word, she obviously knew that other people felt it was and these were her responses.
Tumblr media
i'm just posting all of this because i think people seriously underestimate the situation,, and i also don't want anyone thinking i support her in any way. i love OMORI with all of my heart and it rlly sucks to see the creator of it say this kind of shit
again, i know it was a long time ago but the thing is she never apologized for the tweets (as far as i'm aware) and only for the shirt, which ngl was kind of half-assed considering she only said 'i didn't know what it meant' (either way, in what world is selling a shirt that says 'little boy' on it reasonable?)
i don't want to reach, but i think her treatment of HERO in the game is also questionable. the adult women in the game fawn over him and SWEETHEART literally preys on him??? and the way the slime girls treat the boys is questionable imo. i wouldn't say this about a normal game but considering OMOCATs history this is strange to me.
anyways ill wrap this up by saying please do not interact if you support omocat!!

jimin saying he doesn't care about important dates like silver day white day valentines and jungkook not caring about anniversaries or numbers it's bad out here for jikookers💀
You can "not care" about important dates and still celebrate them? I don't give a particular fuck about Valentines Day because it's just a regular day but I still buy my partner flowers. Because I love them. We still take Valentines as an opportunity to be more aware of each other. To make it special because with both of us working full time, it's hard enough already to just survive the day-to-day. Also as an aside: I'm not up to date on all the interviews, so what is the OG ask referring to?
its the way I know JK is straight is the whole being objectively mid looking but somehow so hot to us is a straight man power...
OG ask KNOWS Jungkook? Amazing. Oh to be that blessed lol. Also calling the Jeon Jungkook "objectively mid looking"? What? Who have they been looking at?
if a man is literally awakening female heterosexuality then there's 99% chance that he's straight af. And we know JK is known to be magnet for women falling for him.
Ah yes. Pointing at other people's sexuality to confirm the sexuality of an individual. Legit science right there. This is such a weird point? Also, bisexuality exists?
Also, he treats jimin like utter shit like IS EVERYONE BLINDDDD???? Dont you all love Jimin ? Then why still attaching him to that man who doesn't respect nor does bare minimum things for Jimin ? Jikookers mental institution when
Aaaand another mystery is solved. Let's add another PJM solo stan/akgae to the pile. I don't get why the knee jerk reaction is always calling the members straight which isn't very "speak yourself" of these asshats, and bashing at least one other member of BTS. Get the fuck out of the fandom, honestly. If hating (without an actually sane reason) one part of an insanely close friend group and musical act, if seeing enemies of the one member you prefer everywhere is your daily fan life: touch some grass.
Lol akgaes usually really aren't worth engaging with too seriously because it's literally as frustrating as talking to a brick wall and trying to make the brick get your point. Honestly, that'd probably LESS frustrating because it doesn't come with the gaslighting and ignorance an akgae conversation usually does. Lol they will twist your words constantly and never ACTUALLY want to have a logically conversation. They just want to screech at someone and manipulate anyone who doesn't know better. Don't open yourself up to it, I promise its not worth it 😂🤣

GOD i cant stop thinking about how weird it is that twilight was inspired by MCR which was inspired by 911. when everyone else was caught up in this aggressve patriotism as a form of defense and an excuse for violent bigotry, mcr said lets make something beautiful. lets make something that will let us heal. and then twilight and harry potter used to have this whole fandom feud, but ended up almost being two sides of the same coin. both deeply terrible and written by bigoted white women who either did nothing to amend for the damage her respective writing did, or actively tried to make it worse. and how they ended up sort of being married together by the creation of My Immortal, which is arguably a twilightified fanfic of harry potter, written by someone that absolutely worshipped gerard way. and how mcr was asked to make a song for the twilight soundtrack to which they said fuck you and instead made Vampire Money, a song about what itd be like if they succumed to capitalist greed and devalued their art by leaning into the edgy aesthetic beyond the end of its shelf life and whored out their emotions for profit. and then they broke up because it really Was killing them. and now theyre back. and then the WWWYf tour happened. and That happened. they turned it into an opportunity to make a giant fuck you to that selfsame concept, dressing up as a parody of what theyd have become if theyd done what the public wanted of them, if theyd stayed closeted and suicidal and become consumed by the addiction of selling that pain for profit. a point underlined by the contrast with how theyve been presenting themselves the past 3 months on their real tour, specifically gerard, and how specifically BECAUSE they took a hiatus, BECAUSE they didnt give into greed for more vampire money and didnt destroy themselves, they are alive today in order to be onstage now in front of us. awake and unafraid. a giant celebration of trans joy and affirmation and acknowledgement and love between them and us, their fans, specifically their trans fans. how they finished the WWWYf show with Vampire Money and no one in that crowd got it because no one in that crowd Would get it, and that perfectly crystalized their absolutely scathing point. and then on their real tour they made the more blatant but less serious reference by wearing a twilight shirt and talking about robert pattinson, just goofing off and having fun being gay, bc with us they finally can. and in the meantime, jk rowling has written a self insert cringe comp book longer than the fucking bible trying desparately to cling to relevancy and make herself out to be the victim in her own transphobia, desparately whoring out her bigotry for profit. and the fact that 50 shades of gray is just a twilight fanfic that caused 365 Days to get written and also kind of caused the normalization of fanfic getting turned into actual monetized netflix level media. but ofc its only okay when its cishet. the smut turned netflix series exuality is only acceptable when its straight. and its all toxic af!!! but somehow its fine that THATS plastered on every billboard!!! but the original queer people it was inspired by were shunned and shamed and now that theyre back from the dead, everyones trying to capitalize on their return. and they said go fuck yourselves!!!! and meanwhile the same type of people who hate us and them ARE succumbing to that greed, and theyre fucking floundering!!! just.i just. i. uGHGGGGGG

Hellraiser: the Toll is dumb AF
You freaks liked my review of The Scarlet Gospels, so I'm here to deliver this short review of another garbage Hellraiser novel while I'm procrastinating with studying for the finals. Spoilers for the entire thing (and some funny fanart) below:
Hellraiser: the Toll is a novella written by Mark E. Miller that serves as a passage between The Hellbound Hearts/Hellraiser movie and The Scarlet Gospels. It sucks harder than a black hole.
Short summary (5 sentences)
Kirsty Cotton is a depressed fucked up person that is running from place to place because she's scared of "The Cold Man" which is a nickname she gave to Pinhead. She gets a letter from some random theology professor and decides to go visit The Devil's Island in French Guiana where she's told the Cenobite would wait for her. She goes to a hotel kept by an old lady and a butler named Walter, the old lady is skinned alive and the butler tries to kill Kirsty, but she smacks his face with a hammer and kills him. Then she enters the jungle prison on the Devil's Island and meets Pinhead, they chat, then argue, then start a fight which ends by Kirsty smashing his face with a hammer and taking out one of his nails. She returns home and keeps the nail in a jar on her night stand.
Endlessly confused plot
I honestly can't tell what universe does this book describe. It's a mashup of "The Hellbound Heart" and Hellraiser movie, but the second movie is not cannon, which is very weird. The author basically picked and chose whatever random thing he liked and made a senseless mashup. One of the worst things about it is the same fucking issue with the Boom! comics and that is that Kirsty hates Pinhead because he "killed her father and ruined her family". Which is pure bullshit from every angle. In "The Hellbound Heart", Cenobites only killed Frank and Julia and let her go. In Hellraiser, they also killed Frank and Julia and she barely escaped. Her father was killed by FUCKING FRANK. Pinhead didn't ruin Kirsty's family, Frank did. I don't think that Kirsty would hold any ill intent towards the Cenobites, in fact, in Hellraiser 2 she objectively doesn't. She wanted to save them for fuck's sake. And they all gave their lives for her. I really have no idea why would she have any reasons to hate Pinhead, but oh well.
Pinhead acts like a whiny little child
Seriously, what the fuck is with these books and assassination of Pinhead's character? Why the FUCK is he depicted as narcissistic, misogynistic motherfucker, when he couldn't be further from it? Also, why does he use his fists to fight Kirsty when he can summon chains with hooks by will and also has like 12 butchering knives hanging from his belt? The worst part is probably the dialogue, especially when he says "Jesus wept", like, come on, that's the dumbest thing I've ever read. Does the motherfucker who wrote this think that Frank and Pinhead have any parallels? Because if he does, he needs a hit on his head with a hammer, just to reset his brain.
Hell is shit - literally
The description of Hell in this book is even dumber than in Scarlet Gospels. It says that the floor in Hell is made of shit. And there's a hole and people in Hell worship the hole and throw babies in it. Like, what the fuck. Also, I fucking hate the fact that he described Cenobites as foul smelling. Do your research, motherfucker, they smell like vanilla! There is some stench of rot beneath, but nobody in the entire franchise never had the urge to vomit when they were close to the Cenobites, so it can't be strong. I don't know how did the author of this garbage come to the idea that Cenobites smell like shit and that Hell is made of shit, but it's literally like how a 13 year old would describe it. I don't know what is the reason, but maybe, just maybe, straight men have much different interpretation of what Cenobites are compared to queer women like myself.
Stuff I liked
There was one scene where a demon was running in the rain screaming FUCK!FUCK!FUCK!FUCK!FUCK!FUCK!FUCK! until he was struck by lightning. I laughed my ass off with that.
The fact that Kirsty kept the nail she knocked out of Pinhead's face by her bedside was so cute. Like, this book has some shipping, but it fucking sucks. Mostly because both Pinhead and Kirsty are very much out of character. But keeping the nail was definitely in character for her lol.
Overall, this entire book could be summed up by this illustration:
Tumblr media
The Toll sucks. It doesn't suck as much as Scarlet Gospels, and, thank Goddess, it's only 40 pages long. But it still sucks. It ruins both Pinhead and Kirsty and their relationship and it's definitely not worth your time. If you want good stories about the Hell Priest and his human crush, go to AO3, there are many of superior quality.

straight cis women talking about weird and kind of insane icks they have for the men they like will never be comparable to the hate men have towards them for just being female presenting human beings idc if that's the most idiotic ick you've EVER read about, women not finding someone hot for a stupid thing in 2023 is not the reason why men have been killing and raping and hating women for centuries and even "joking" that it is it's part of the culture of blaming the victim, you can make fun of the ick and say it's dumb af without implying that's why men abuse women or are justified to

feel free to ignore if you think this is a hornets nest but what’s your opinion on devin grayson? personally, i think the bad rap is more so because she’s a woman - there’s men who have written worse but haven’t been torn down as viciously.
I'm honestly not fully sure of what her rep is, is she pretty reviled? Because any time I see criticism lately, it's usually centered around whoever's currently writing (right now I see a ton more for King and Taylor, I don't think I've seen anyone hardly mention Devin Grayson), but to be fair I'm still acclimating to being back, I have over a decade's worth of missed comics to cover and all. For me, I remember so vividly that I was so excited when she was first announced as upcoming on the Nightwing solo series because I'd loved her Gotham Knights stories, she seemed like she was right in my wheelhouse, that she wrote Dick and Babs interaction that I liked, she touched on Dick's issues with Bruce as a central figure in his life, etc. She seemed designed to appeal to me specifically! But then the issues started coming out and I was just very underwhelmed by her writing, not even her writing daddy issues with Dick and Bruce could do it for me and that's my ENTIRE REASON for being here, like how do you write it so even I am like, ".......no."???, and it felt to me like she was good at telling smaller, more self-contained stories, but that she didn't know what to do with the character when she had to plan his overall direction for the entire book. I think part of it is that she's a bit of a product of the time--I recently reread some of her stuff that I don't remember being all that controversial at the time, like the Romani story she did never jumped out at me while I was reading it back in the day (or maybe I just hung out in the wrong places for that sort of thing? I primarily got my interaction through the Nightwing/Bludhaven Yahoo! group) but I picked it up again and WOOF, that was bad. And, at the time, I don't really recall much reaction over the Tarantula storyline, either. But part of it is also that I just don't find her stuff to hold up, I read something more recent of hers (a single-issue story in an anthology or something? it's already slipped my mind, you can tell how much of an impression it left on me) and it just sort of slid right off me because I wasn't connecting with any of it. Ultimately, I don't hate her writing, but I don't find it particularly compelling, either. I think she had some strong views of the character that didn't mesh with a lot of people and was a lot more open about them than a lot of other writers were and I do think writers who try to be progressive and do it very imperfectly (which I suspect she was, given how she's a queer woman who probably occupies a lot of the same spaces we do) tend to get more backlash than those who don't do anything of interest or stay inside the safer zones. So, I feel like it's kind of middle ground territory for me--I've seen straight male writers get torn down just as much, but also you're not wrong that some spaces do go after women who dare to write a character differently, that I think her work has a lot of problems for me, especially because I'm not sure how much is clumsy wording on her part for her explanations/product of its time and how much is genuinely weird AF objectification stuff, but there are some cute moments as well. But also I haven't reread those Nightwing issues in like 20 years, so I'm purely going off my memories of what I experienced at the time and I have no idea how I might react differently, having grown so much that I'm basically a different person now, too, you know?

Someone who gives me the same asshole vibe as Cha Eun Woo and Song Kang is Eunwoo's friend Kim Young Kwang (the actor) I really liked his drama and he is quite handsome but he looks like a sadist and super manipulative to me I'm not gonna lie? No matter how much I try I can't seem to get into him? He was also caught before whilst he was a model (when he was much much younger) talking about what he finds distasteful in women and he said really weird/sexist shit but it was childish af too, like he really didn't think before speaking but I like to give benefit of the doubt to the "youth" LMFAO (not really) but you know he's also Korean so I wasn't shocked, I said oh another one bites the dust 👏🏾☺️😋 Anyway there's something sweet about him (I'm probably reaching and trying to give him a compliment) but he really totally makes the hairs on back stand idk he gives me torturous type vibes? Maybe it's past life between me and him vibes LMFAO but I see evil, I know I'm not tripping, like the dark triad evil? Am I wrong? What energy do you feel from him, please let me know!! Like he looks like if he wasn't told right he'd hold people captivate or be that weird kid that's cruel to bugs? I wouldn't be surprised if he was a bully or humiliated people, especially women. Like you know the energy of a closeted man that hates on women? He looks like the type to say mean things in a joking manner and not even consider people "beneath" him? I feel he can be sweet but it is selective, like he may want something? Idk he feels fucking cold, like his eyes and his smile, no emotion etc I wouldn't be surprised if he has a disorder or something that makes him unemotional etc He's a major homebody too and he always acts uncomfortable in social situations etc, he probably is but maybe he really does has some disorder or something because he expresses that he wants to go home etc. Like I could see him being condescending like Song Kang and Cha Eun Woo too?
CEW always gives me the energy of misguided energy? Like if he were to be surrounded by good people who humbled him he could be okay? I always see some sentiment in him? He looks like people don't check him and out of all 3 he looks to me the most reflective, like if something happened it could give him a spiritual awakening etc and change his life. Like the type of guy that heals if he was loved right. CEW gives me I am a "twin" vibes, like he has a counterpart in this lifetime who's gonna have a profound effect on his life? He always looked like a redeemable soul to me? I don't know but the more he gets deeper into the industry and this cold, cruel, money driven environment he just gonna end up being unredeemable as well, in the deep end? Like he'll end up the worst out of the bunch? I hope he don't start doing drugs but he looks smart to me lol, I'll give him that much. The more I see actors/celebs the more coldness I see lol, some of them have really scary eyes.
It's hilarious to me that people found Song Kang cute, the mf gave me I'm bland and incompetent but have the audacity to be disgusted by you vibes. He generally looks like the type to sanitise his hands if he accidentally brushed past somebody he don't respect, he looks hella coddled too and a mamas boy. He literally admitted himself that he wore the same socks for months straight. He's probably the type that doesn't do the dishes or wash his clothes etc, like he young forever? I was shocked he was feeling Han So Hee LOL but she grown woman vibes and I think it's opposites attract. Her rough girl image, idgaf demeanour probably intrigued him. A part of him also looked like he was pretending, so people could talk about them, like he used her for a come up? He shot a show with that young pretty actress and the interviews (my demon) were a pain to watch. I could tell he found her stupid and you were RIGHT, he cannot hide his dissatisfaction well!! Like it was second hand embarrassment. He was also on another show with BP Jennie and he literally iced her lmfao, he didn't even look at her, he also pushed past another woman and was heavily disgusted by another older woman complimenting him, like how dare you compliment me when you not on my level? Like the type that wants people to ask for permission before they greet him? He called another woman by another name and said "that woman" and she was like "I am that woman, it's my name", as in he didn't even bother learning their names and she said to him don't you think it's too soon to speak casually (banmal/drop honorifics) and refer to me as "that" and that you should learn people's names etc. It baffles me how people give a pass to "handsome/pretty" people in the world and especially Korea? But more so handsome men because of sexism right? Like he was not careful of his behaviour at all but people thought he was "clueless" and cute. It's obvious when he thinks people aren't on his level etc and I think he's at a point where he generally believes he's made it, so he dgaf like yasss I don't need to kiss ass anymore, when he was simply just expected to be polite LOL 😂 I think it's a chore for him to treat people well, like he might think about the beneficial reason why he should give charity and help people? Like they broke, they can get up, I'm not, I work hard. Like simple minded? He's cut the nice act now and he said so himself, that he hates being perceived as cute and a little adorable boy but he masked himself as such and then complains? Probably because he finds his fans disgusting. I'm ngl he feels like that. I don't know lol! Don't mind me, I be popping out here and there and giving the lip and the tea LMFAO 🤣 I'll stop here! 💀
— Lip Service Girl 💄
Me and you must just be on the same wavelength. I think it's too much to say Kim Young Kwang has a disorder, but everything else, I agree.
Cha Eunwoo has the best energy out of the three. But he has his own bs that comes with him. He's not a bad guy, though, the other two .....🤷‍♀️
What sticks in my mind the most is Kim Young Kwangs' weird comments about women as well. Like it's okay to have preferences, but like damn....

Liking the first season of 'Torchwood' BUT...
See, I knew of the show 10 years ago. Watched some of it. Hated it. Forgot about it. But was watching like top 10 most shocking tv deaths (or something like that) and they had season 4 (did NOT know they had that many) of 'Torchwood' on there, saying how the latter two seasons were SOLID AF compared to the first 2 seasons.
And I am getting into it. On the 1st season finale. But I gotta say this show has so many plot holes (record setting for just 1 fucking season), and characters who make the wrong call EVERY TIME, you wonder...who am I supposed to cheer for? Cuz, by the numbers, Torchwood has hurt far more than it helped so far.
The lead-she cheated on her boyfriend (with EASE. It felt weird how easy it was for her being in a committed relationship), drugged him, erased his memory, lied to him, and then (Spoilers) got him killed. Also thru negligence, released an alien that killed a BUNCH of dudes.
The butler-he literally chanced cyber men taking over the world, and got an innocent genius doctor killed, cuz he was too much of a COWARD to let his clearly dying gf go.
Tech lady-She reads everyone's deepest darkest thoughts, then got mad when Jack sent an alien who had been murdering for centuries into the sun. She's not bad, per say, more...neutral. She's harmed the least, for sure. That's such a low bar, tho...
Captain Jack-The original reason I watched the show. I LOVED his character on Dr Who. But...this is not him. Not the same guy. Not the free spirited, happy, goofy, witty, always ready, near-god. No. This is an immortal having a mid mid mid life crisis cuz he's lived so long and WANTS to die. Seriously, cuz of his shit, and the lead's, this is like a partial drama. I will say, tho, he has had to make some TOUGH calls which did not make him well liked, but I respected him cuz you knew, deep down, it had to be done, and no one else was gonna do it*.
The doctor-In the finale I am on, he was fired. And I hope his character dies. I fucking hate him. I hate his face, his voice, his actions, his brain; everything. He convinces the noobie to cheat with him, after he basically mouth rapes her. He's angry ALL the time, yells at people thinking he's a genius when he's like the 3rd smartest. He 'falls in love' with a women, tries to demand her to stay, and gets all pity party after ONE WEEK WITH HER. Can you fall madly in love in a week? Sure. But suicidal and a threat to others cuz 'you're sad'? Go fuck yourself, you bitch. Oh, and he basically openly chooses to chance ending the world NOT because he wants to save his team mates (tho he claims that) but because he's tired of being a bitch to the time tear (or whatever the fuck they call it).
So...WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU CHEERING FOR? Jack is the only semi cool character, and he's still kinda an ass. They're ALL kinda...selfish, short sighted, fuckers.
But I will finish this series. Because, storywise, the themes and plots they got going, are HIGHLY original and almost always have 1-3 good twists I don't see coming. You don't understand: I have been exposed to so much media, I can predict most things I see within a short period of time (even whole movies from trailers). I'm SO good (or writing is THAT predictable) I actually can, based on context, guess, WORD FOR WORD some lines. Sometimes in real time. Not usually. But not too far off, either.
*I will say, the call the writers/show/characters are supposed to hate was Jack giving the child to the faeries. NO. GREAT call. Best call you could make. Every other call would have sucked. See-the girl was fucking evil. Sociopath. Straight up. Like the faeries. She hated everyone. Talked to no one, but the faeries. She was borderline evil. And the faeries straight up said if you don't give us the kid, we will kill en mass, starting with HER ENTIRE SCHOOL. And the girl WANTED to go. So...where's the problem giving up the kid? Her mom's sad? Who gives a shit. You just saved TONS of lives, an evil fucking kid is gone, and the fairies disappeared. Only one who really lose was the mom. Her long time boyfriend (he was an ass) and her kid: BOTH GONE, SAME DAY. That is cruel, but long run, genuinely, it's even best for her. Her boyfriend was abusing her kid behind her back, and her kid was cheering on the torture of kids. It's a win-win-win. Fuck you for trying to make me feel bad for him giving up the kid. She wanted to go, and I wanted her to go. Fuck her.

Avengers Gender & Sexuality Headcanons, but cleaned up a bit
Tumblr media
hello hello! I revisited my old post, and it was messy af and I don't really headcanon a lot of these anymore. SO I PRESENT TO YOU:
The Avengers Being Gay As Fuck
STEEB ROGER ROGER || CAPTAIN AMERICA - ohhhhh boy... - bro is kinda not up to speed with how ✨🏳‍🌈 the gays 🏳‍🌈✨ are treated nowadays - so peter decides to teach him - and at first, he's kinda confused, esp about trans people - because hello, he was born in the fourties - it's kinda non-realistic to expect him to snap to reality just like that - anyhoo, peter ain't having the "how tf do trans people work" bullshit - he, like any good gen z kid would do, creates a shitty powerpoint presentation - after two full fucking hours of explanation, steve starts to get it - he still slips up sometimes... - but he tries his fucking best and honestly that's all we can ask of him - i don't really see steve labeling himself, but if you asked, he'd probably just steer the conversation away from that topic - would still use he/him - fuck that was long
TONY STARK || TIN CAN IRON MAN - bro has fucked and been fucked, taken and given head - by both men and women - cmon. there's no way that this billionaire playboy isn't fruity - pansexual, doesn't care about the gender of the person he loves - he's either in a poly relationship with pepper and rhodey or enemies-to-lovers with a certain stephen strange - he/him - funds the annual manhattan pride - qpr with rhodey
BRUCE BANNER || JOLLY GREEN GIANT - oh poor child - i feel like he is not one for sex - like bro practically radiates aroace energy - doesn't really feel the need for gender conformity. gender is an unknown subject and he doesn't like to meddle with it. end of story - pretty sure he's agender - i feel like he wouldn't care what pronouns are used, but if asked, i think he would answer he/they - bro is a triple a battery fr - prefers to be adressed as dr. banner or just banner
NATASHA ROMANOFF || SCARY ASSASSIN LADY - she/her. nuff said. - asexual. i will die on this hill - the red room taught her to use her body to get what she wants - but she never really wanted that - coughseggscough - i wanna say she's demiromantic & bi - clint is her biggest supporter - started the ace avengers club 🍇🐘👻🐈‍⬛
CLINT BARTON || LEGOLAS - i really can't see a queer clint. i can't - i also don't really see him being that one overinvested ally - he/him, straight, cishetallo - sorry :(
THOR ODINSON || THAT ONE THUNDER DUDE - he comes from asgard, where nobody really sees being queer as different - so when he comes to earth........just imagine his surprise when he finds out about homophobia - he found out when some dudebro was yelling at a girl who seemed like she wanted nothing to do with him - another girl was with them, and she looked like she wanted to kill the guy - thor was confusion - he asked what was going on, and the dudebro said that he caught his sister on a date with another girl - yknow, expecting thor to lash out at the girl - but thor was the exact opposite - he grinned, and congratulated the two on their relationship - WLW FOR THE WIN!! - dudebro started going off on a homophobic rampage - one glare from thor and he nearly shit his pants - and THAT is where thor got his title as protector of lesbians - he/him - tried using thunder based pronouns once but decided it wasn't for him - unlabeled. he thinks human labels are weird
JAMES RHODEY RHODES || WAR MACHINE - is he/him - gay as fucking hell oh my god - literally so gay - GAY MAN OVER HERE - k im done - i'm nearly 100% sure he's graysexual. doesn't really care for sex but if his partner(s) really want it...well, he loves them - probably has to steer tony away from fans all the time at pride - i'm also 100% sure he's down for polyamory. there's too much love for just one person in his heart - qpr with tony
PETER PARKER || SPOODERMAN - TRANS PETER TRANS PETER TRANS PETER!!!!!! - 🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧🏳‍⚧ - i know it's a really common tumblr headcanon but i FIRMLY support it! FTM - 60% sure that flash bullies peter because he's trans - i mean like it's more believeable than peter being a nerd - prob uses he/him - comes out to tony first, tony buys peter his first binder - may finds out next and she's just so happy. peter asks for name suggestions and she nearly cries - that's how he got his name :) - this kid forgets to take off his binder so often omg - like ned and mj and may MUST REMIND HIM or he'll forget - i feel like he'd be asexual but sex-neutral - doesn't care for it - bi. bi peter parker.
MICHELLE JONES || EMJAY - is enby 💛🤍💜🖤 - ain't no way she's a girl. like ain't no way - uses she/they if asked, but doesn't really give a fuck about pronouns - bisexual with a pref for gals. callin it now
NED LEEDS || NEDANIEL - pretty sure he uses he/they because he like the pronouns - thought that they/them was cool and just decided to use it :D - sweet boi, supports mj and peter sm - buys them pride flags ✨🏳‍🌈✨ - ned literally radiates aroallo energy like cmon - CMON - aroallos are so cool and sexy actually
LOKI LAUFEYSON || LOW KEY LMAO IM SO FUNNY - is genderfluid 💖🤍💜🖤💙 - like this isn't even headcanon fuck off - will use any and all pronouns, at any given time - idk...maybe it's just me but i'm getting MASSIVE asexual vibes - probably sex positive ace - like slay queen - panromantic. like do i even need to explain this
BUCKY BARNES || BUCKET - i will die on they/them bucky hill - and you will see my corpse there - and you will know i was right - unlabeled. doesn't fully understand themself rn, labels will probably make it worse - sam is a huge part of bucky's queer journey - probably uses peter as a queer encyclopedia
SAM WILSON || CHICKEN MAN - gay as freaking hell omfg - that is HOMOSEXUAL MAN RIGHT THERE - he/him - takes bucky to their first pride parade - queer legend - ✨🏳‍🌈✨
VISION || ROBOT MAN - is undecided on gender for now - decides to just use he/him while he figures everything out - i think he figures out that he's asexual real fast. like sex-repulsed - why humans would ever want to have intercourse is beyond him - same, girl, same - but he's definitely omniromantic. he does experience love, albeit a little differently than the rest of society - don't we all...
WANDA MAXIMOFF || WITCHY BITCHY - found out she was a lesbian after a failed date with vision - neither of them felt the attraction that they had before - so yes. gay. sapphic. wlw. - i hate the term but i feel like she would be a lipstick lesbian until she falls for a butch - she/her - has girl nights with her twin - hmm gay - ❤️🧡🤍💖💜
PIETRO MAXIMOFF || SPEEDY BITCHY - they/he/she - genderfluid, is particular about pronouns - like ik people don't really headcanon it but... - cmon. pietro is LIQUID GENDER. - (this also probably stems from my belief that every single fucking speedster is genderfluid no matter what fandom) - sees a pretty dress? will buy two. one for them and one for wanda - he really does slay stilettos tho - i think she's probably gay (mlm) - stfu pietro can be a gay man if they want to - fuck you
T'CHALLA || CATMAN - gay. GAY - he/they icon - wakanda is a safe place for EVERYONE - besides, all the dora milaje are wlw - probably homosexual, like what else would he be - nakia? 99% sure nakia is trans and they're in a qpr - AROACE NAKIA AROACE NAKIA - *aroaces every single character* - fuck yeah gay t'challa
SHURI || GENIUS GIRL - she/xe - sapphic asexual - shuri x riri is the hill i will die on - leaning towards women and fem aligned genders - started first wakandan pride parade - i'm 99% sure she officiated ayo & aneka's wedding - change my mind
STEPHEN STRANGE || DR WIZARD - agender, doesn't see the point in gender most of the time, so they/them/he/him - believes there are three sexes but an infinite amount of genders - demiromantic, demisexual - fight me - is most likely gay 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈 - had a qpr with christine before the incident
🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈
{\__/} ( • . •) / >🏳‍🌈
HAPPY LESBIAN VISIBILITY WEEK!

I was about to DM you but then I saw that anon and THOUGHT fuck them. I HOPE they see this and eat shit. I want to say this because I want to get it off my chest. As someone who has been in non poc and non-black spaces before. I can say that your blog is one of my safe spaces for me. It's so refreshing to be in a space that isn't dominated by white people.
I used to read a LOT of Fall Put Boy fanfics when I was in middle school and felt sad when I would see what the MC looked like. Because she was either a blonde, brunette, or a red head that had pale skin and blue eyes. Then it got to a point where it was everything that I read, so I just "ignored" it or would pretend that this was me, and honestly looking back on it, I'm ashamed of it. Especially as a writer myself. It is SAD that I had to pretend as a BLACK WOMAN that I was this white girl who was named Riley or Clare to fantasize about a biracial white passing man.
Then, when I got into KPOP, I found AMBW fanfics, and it was nice, but I felt weird about reading it because it wasn't seen as the normal fanfics I was consuming for the past 3 years. Then I realized that I have black OCs from childhood, and I've imagined myself in stories before. Why am I uncomfortable now? Do I not love being black? I went down a whole spiral and was like well why don't I not describe race in my writing? It'll be easier for me and other readers. That way, it can be for everyone. After I found this on book that I LOVED on wattpad, I realized that I wanted to write this too. I want to write about being a black woman falling in love with an idol and them loving me back.
It wasn't until I was 18 and joined into an all white space that I realized I would and could never belong. No matter what, Fandom, no matter what I wrote or who I wrote for, I wouldn't have anything in common with them. Even when I showed them my AMBW fanfics, they felt like it was a good idea, but they felt uncomfortable because they couldn't center themselves in it.
The moral of the story is that it is HARD for black people and other poc to center themselves in stories that are not for them. The world makes it hard for them to. I want to write more fanfics about kpop idols falling in love with black woman. Or just living life and falling in love. I want to write anime fanfics with a black OC getting into MESS. Every time I get on this app and I see (idol) x blk reader (mostly Johnny) I get so happy or when I I see head canons of (kpop group) washing their black s/o hair it make me happy. It inspires me as a writer.
FUCK YOU ANON you're scary af and @multifandomslxt thank you for working so hard to create fanfics for us. I hope you keep doing it. I hope I didn't offend you by talking about my past issues.
Firstly, no you did not offend me sweetheart 🫶🏿
I’m happy that my fics and works provide people with comfort and happiness because that is exactly what I made them for.
I grew up on wattpad. Reading a lot of 1D and 5SOS fan fictions with white FMC all the time.
Every time they mentioned her long straight hair I always said that she was just wearing a 360 lace buss down😂
I didn’t realize until years after how fuxked up it was for me to only have access to books with little to representation of poc especially black women.
The romances that had black women were always rooted in trauma.
No soft loving
No calmness.
just pure chaos
And it made me realize that a lot of people think that black women cannot have love fictionally or realistically w/o it being toxic and chaotic.
I also realized how a lot of people and myself (unfortunately) thought that darker skinned, fat/chubby black women and other poc would always be the last choice for love or as a romantic interest.
I’m glad I grew up and understood that I was beautiful and fucking amazing but with that also came the reality that not everyone felt that way.
Unfortunately there were women out there who hated their body, skin, personality etc. Everything that made them unique.
And so I decided that no matter where I existed I would always make sure to highlight and uplift all my pretty bitches😂🫶🏿
Especially when they think they aren’t.
So yes, @multifandomslxt is a blog created exactly for that purpose and it’s here to fucking stay💕

F.R.I.E.N.D.S was such a LEGENDARY 90s series
You get:
Super normalised gay relationships where the fact that people are gay is never something that generates fuss and conversation.
Straight men slow dancing together as a friends thing, with teasing about gayness that remains funny and not cruel or homophobic.
Interracial relationships both white-Asian and white-black, where also, no fuss is ever made because they're entirely normalised things.
Normalisation of divorce and relationship issues as a thing that just happens in life sometimes and you have to keep going no matter what.
Criticism of the US system that allows so much poverty and struggle.
´They show the privileged and the poor, the struggles and friction there (when your friends for example are richer than you), and it's not like nowadays that you get huge AF speeches and is never mentioned again. There's no huge speeches, it's not reduced to one episode, and it kind of leaves a bigger message than if it had huge speeches.
Fathers that are not with the other parent but that show up for their kid and are INCREDIBLE.
Natural friendships were men hug, women wax their legs together, jokes and teasing are normal but never cruel, and adulthood issues are tackled beautifully.
Conversations about masculinity, and how you can still be a total man but dance, or wear make-up, or use a bag, or have bubble baths with salts.
Cross-dressing and/or transgender parents, talking about the parent-child problems this has in childhood, but showing normalisation and healing.
Spoiled, rich brats who work their butts off to become self-sufficient and financially independent.
Characters who might seem slow or like they've got some problem, but are loved and cherished so much either way, and never made fun of for their stupidity or slowness (I'm thinking of different characters and some are downright dumb and others just slow or have some issue we don't know about, but I'm not calling people with issues stupid).
Normalised Jewish characters!
Relevant POC characters!
Top shelf jokes that have you rolling with laughter.
Wonderful criticism of the capitalist US society and what it was heading towards in the 90s and early 2000s.
All different kinds of parent-child relationships, loving, negligent, spoiled, weird... but they find a way to love each other regardless.
Different kinds of friendships, sibling-like, turned romantic, lots in common, nothing in common...
I mean, talk about a show advanced for its time! We'll just never have anything like this every again and it pisses me off so much.

I love ironically calling my current OC's couple "straight" even tho there's nothing straight about it, because if I tell their relationship and genders to a cishet allo person, they would dumbly call it straight.
But yeah no, that's a small bisexual trans woman probably on the aro spectrum and a tall and triangular AMAB bigender person who's pansexual AF but thought he was just gay when he was into her before learning she was a woman and realise he had internalized misogyny and women are amazing, and any gender is amazing and oop yeah I might not be really a dude, and oop now I'm pinning hard for her so I'll guess I'll follow her in her weird adventures ahah maybe we might kiss. And she's just like I'm happy he changed for the better and follow me around, I like the company, and he's a little pathetic and dramatic I love it I could kiss her dumb tall mouth and oh no that's a bit gay *dreamingly*

Okay @sweatyflytrap asked for my final opinion on the one piece live action and I have a lot of things to say as always so I'm making a post.
Light, unspecific spoilers, but well.
First of all it's not bad. But also it's not good. I don't feel excited about it, but I didn't have as much of a hard time watching it than I thought. Except the first episode. I spent the first episode messaging all my friends about how ugly it looked.
About the story adaptation :
Some changes they made I understand, because the East Blue Saga is overall pretty rough in terms of rhythm and also kinda unthetered to how the story develops later on. Of course, it's very important and necessary as far as world building and putting the crew together go, but none of the more long term plotlines are there yet, or at least you don't know that they are, and that doesn't really work with live action tv shows or it makes them look like sitcoms. They had to introduce some more middle- long- term stuff to let people see that there are bigger things happening that are worth keeping up with the series. But it feels kinda weird when you've been reading and watching the manga and anime for fucking ever. Spoils some stuff that were big moments in the original story. But again : understandable.
Some other changes I just. Don't. What. Some were weird, some confused me, some were uncalled for and honestly kinda pissed me off (re: Usopp, iykyk).
One thing I was happy about is that there is, just like in the manga, some clever, more or less obvious, foreshadowing. Well played.
About the characters :
I saw a lot of people being very happy about the cast, I... Have doubts. I'm kinda sad some of them lose important character design aspects although I understand it would have been difficult to make them look like they're drawn. Usopp without his long nose is ??? I mean it's inherent to who he is so taking that away takes away from his characterisation for me. Also is Sanji really Sanji without the curly eyebrows? I like Nami, I think she's played by a good actress as well. She's the one who felt the more solid to me. Zoro looks okay, I kinda hate how they turned him into some edgy vocal-fried annoyed teenager but well. Hopefully he'll gain more depth as we go. Hopefully they all do. We've barely seen them yet.
Now Luffy... I mean it's tricky, obviously. I just don't understand his character in the LA tbh because he's supposed to be super naive and carefree and not very smart, and sometimes he is, and at other times he says elaborate things that don't match up. Seeing him more or less seriously plan and strategise at times is intensely OOC and really took me out of it. Also it would always have been difficult to translate in LA but I find his smile very sinister at times. Overall, because he's sometimes smarter than he's supposed to be and because of that smile, you get the idea that he's acting stupider than he actually is and it gives the impression he's more calculated and manipulative than happy-go-lucky. I can't really read him well. He feels weird.
And I sure hope they get a better wig and lenses budget in the future but seeing how the Witcher characters look in their third or whatever season I highly doubt it. Seeing them with shitty synthetic dry AF hair really really takes me out of it. I cannot possibly take Shanks seriously when that's what he looks like. Don't even get me started on Mihawk. Also I've posted about this before but why in hell did they turned tall glass of water future daddy Ben Beckmann into a short jowly pot-bellied 50yo? I'm sad. AND don't try to convice me that Alvida is ugly because what the hell. Please take me on a date, I will definitely tell you you're beautiful. Also not a problem but why the fuck is Garp Welsh?
Another issue I have discussed with friends is Sanji's characterisation. Obvi they couldn't make him as creepy as he is in the manga and anime where he's straight-up harassing women but this very central aspect of his personality is almost completely lost in the LA which makes him seem very weird. It makes it difficult to understand how he acts towards Nami at times, when they're supposed to be one of the most well-matched duos in the crew. In parallel, LA Zoro and Nami have sexual tension for zero reason. Their chemistry works much better than Nami and Sanji's at this point. It's fixable in the next seasons but in this one it's kinda weird when you know their characters.
About the production :
Okay so one thing I will say without any further "but" is that Sanji's and especially Zoro's fighting scenes look very good. They're well choregraphed, and badass, and dynamic.
Luffy's fighting scenes are bad though. The gomu gomu fruit abilities look bad. He barely uses them most of the time (I guess it's costly and difficult to create visually). He looks weak, and slow. The rhythm is terrible. Also it's difficult to see him sometimes use gomu gomu to be rubbery and thus fully flexible and sometimes see the actual actor jump and bend like a more or less normal person, thus lacking the elasticity Luffy is supposed to have. It's like sometimes the rubber ability is activated and sometimes not and he just becomes a normal human being. I fully understand that it's not realistic to half animate him all the time to make it fit but again, it was very noticeable to me.
I also struggle with the overall vibe of the LA. Some things feel overly childish, like all the discourse around dreams etc. It is there in OP though, it is generally key in shōnen, no problem. But at the same time, it's quite violent and sinister at times. Buggy is scary af, he feels incredibly creepy. Which is also fine, the OP world is violent and weird. But it doesn't look that violent and weird when it's drawn. The juxtaposition of the child-like, naive, idealistic themes and the creepiness is a bit confusing to me. I'm trying to think who's the target for this aside from the obvious OP fans. It seems a bit too grotesque for children, and it feels a bit too "✨the power of friendship✨" for teens and adults. But well. It was the case in the manga as well initally and it got darker and more serious with time so whatever, I'll reserve judgement.
Conclusion :
I still don't know what to think because I started with loads of questions and now I just have even more. Mostly about how they intend to adapt the rest of it. Are they gonna buy their wigs and lenses elsewhere than Claire's? What the fuck is Chopper gonna look like? What about Brooks? Are they gonna make Ace and Law ugly as well? Because if so I might burn Netflix's headquarters for ruining them for me. Is Luffy gonna get better at fighting or do they intend for Zoro and Sanji to do most of the work forever? Is Bon Clay gonna be extremely offensive or are they somehow gonna manage to make him tasteful without ruining him? Is he gonna be there at all? I mean I could go on and on.
Anyway, as I was saying it's not bad, but it's not good. I think it works much better for people who haven't seen or read OP yet.
