Its 8:30 in the morning and I'm already crying over a cartoon miniseries. Y'all have watched me lose my mind for a few weeks over Fionna and Cake and I'm sorry for that but, it just hit me. The audience is children who grew up with stories of magic and mystery and adventure and go to their 20s/30s and realized the world isn't all princesses and vampires and chaos deities. But people, normal depressed lonely people can find their own purpose and happiness if they're willing to go on their adventure of self discovery.

The series is, at once, about the characters of Adventure Time but also the fans who watched Adventure Time in a weird, meta, kindly way. Just like Adventure Time.

hiiiii sobbing and crying qnd wailing everyolwuerw ive made this post on like three different platforms but i just finished garden story and i actually cant handle how fucking GOOD that game is, its actually my new favorite of all time. anyone that likes indie pixel/rpg/cozy indie games (UTDR FANS IM LOOKING AT YOU) NEEDS to play it. adorable graphics, stellar soundtrack, and heartwarming story. you will not regret it.

And yeah, Volo got purposefully nerfed as a Starly. Kind of an extra layer of insult to injury on Arceus’s part lol. (“Sorry, kiddo! But you lose thumb privileges! Ya reap what ya sow!”)

I don’t know if I ever fully detailed what went down between Ingo and the Beast to result in their little arrangement. But yes, Ingo was tricked into believing the Beast’s lie that it held his forgotten brother’s soul when he discovered its lantern and refused to return it to the Beast. It was mostly out of desperation on Ingo’s part and a lot of it being thrown on him with no time to think it over. He thought he could find a workaround but the Beast was so good at playing on his guilt that it managed to keep him under its thumb for years. (“Your brother needs you RIGHT NOW. Are you so cold as to let him burn out before your very eyes? What kind of a sibling are you??”) It’s only when the genuine article showed up that it all started falling apart.

Luckily for Ingo, Emmet, and a number of other people, Emmet was able to put the pieces together in time to prevent the cycle from repeating itself.

As their conversation went on, he kept waiting for old Salty to deny her, but unfortunately, he instead watched as the captain tossed her a uniform and bid her onto the ship, right before he looked directly at him, and nodded like they were somehow in agreement, as though the Golden Guard would have been planning to let a wild, troublemaking human aboard. Panicked though he was, he couldn't risk making a scene and revealing himself to her now, so instead he swallowed his nerves and nodded a tight affirmative, resolving himself to simply hide from the human. To hide on his own ship, from someone who was now part of his crew.

BAFFLED at cis people’s inability to gender trans people correctly.

#we were reading a collection of short stories by a trans author #(a natural history of transition by callum angus i highly reccommend) #and some dude in class was talking about one of the characters whos a trans dude and exclusively referred to with he/him in the text #and this guy somehow managed to misgender him????? like never once in the story does it refer to the character as a woman or use she/her. #like its so fucking telling when cis people do that that they dont think of trans people as their actual gender -_-

( ooc ) #( i looked at aisling's page on a whim and..........remembered time period things weren't connecting fxgffhxgdhxg #so i changed some stuff a little and added some info; including when she died in her main verses #then i looked at asks; remembered vane #looked at aisling's gbf verse; remembered the whole fate eps with hal!vane are to help this lil well ghost......... #it's a very cute story; reccommended read for everyone #but it makes me think vane would maybe get attached to / instantly big brotherly with aisling quickly #not that she's a young kid; but probably getting her struggles and wanting to help her out as much as possible #i feel like he'd end up prying too much into her past to try and find a solution for moving on for her #and eventually fixes the rift between them caused by that prying by just trying to give her the best life she never had #because he's that caring and loving of a guy...........i love this man your honor #that said; i feel like vane would remind her of antonio in that kind of caring willingness and need to help out people #though antonio is not a himbo in my mind; he's a very smart boy that can't be easily tricked and can read the room well #in my mind aisling is as still old undead-wise as she is in her main verses though which makes me wonder what she's #like been alive for gbf-wise??? since she's 188 y/o fdggjfhjghf )
