Nia: Umm, when an individual is berated for donning makeup (a bit more than what's "accepted"). It's a way to look down upon people who wear makeup and a venture to induce guilt and hostile sentiments in an individual established on their level of makeup.

 Sana: But likewise people are condemned for not wearing anything as well, it's like Naa ye karo Naa vo(neither do this nor that).

Nia: Right, but the concept of makeup shaming privileges genuine beauty and calls out people for enclosing their faces out of insecurity.

Sana: Which may not be the motive. I like the person who I am irrespective of my looks but it's no secret that I cherish buying and using beauty products. My choice of liking make-up doesn't mean that I do not like people who don't wear it.

Nia: Absolutely, kyunki vo tumhari Marzi ha(because its your choice)i. It's a subjective preference.

Sana: Makeup is an art that I paint on the canvas of my face because I want to and not to show off or to hide my flaws.

Nia: For me it's therapy. And I don't understand why it's gendered. I mean make-up doesn't have any gender. A lot of our male friends wear them, why is it okay for celebrities but not for us commoners?

Sana: You're right! Is there no way to stop makeup shaming?

Nia: Oh, there is, Sana!

Sana: I guess I shouldn't pay any heed to people who look down on me for my choice of make-up.

Nia: True! But you can't always ignore it, at times you must say that maybe it's not your makeup but their thoughts that's showing.

Sana: I like that one. Or maybe my epic eye roll.

Nia: Hahaha! How about an epic comeback (◠‿◕)

Sana: Confidence does help.

Nia: Plus giving yourself the time to get better at it.

Sana: And to be surrounded by supportive and loving friends like you!

Some days i live here. And some days im at my house. There are times that Doctors and nurse dont remember that just because you can't see the illness. Doesnt mean the person is lying. I swear, i do not want a high from Epi or any other meds. Ijust want to be able to breathe and talk. I want to go out and not panic that it's summer and water balloons are every where. Speaking of self care, I think I need a break… from everyone and everything. It’s hard to watch people shame another for an illness that they can’t see. I mean, would you shame someone for having asthma? It’s weird to me, extremely vexing. Sometimes I think to myself I’m surrounded by people who I call a friend and yet they are complete strangers. Maybe I should focus more on the service side of things…. Feeling a bit lost and things are unclear. Take care of yourselves and be kind to others, you don’t have to help everyone but you shouldn’t do harm to anyone. I was around a 2 before pandemic. Now mostly an 8. I have had to go to 2 virtual outpatient behavioral health groups, I am attending a weekly virtual DBT group. The social isolation has impacted my mental health and now physical health. Lives are being tortured and some lost because of this forced conditioning. Mental Health problems are at the highest now. Does the current "solution" of mask up, stay 6 feet apart, stay away from groups of people truly save lives? Every time I eat anything, about a million things go through my head. Most revolve around how I think people are perceiving me while I'm eating. Now though, there's something more. Not only is it "Will I be judged for what I'm eating?" but now it's "Will I be judged because oh my god this isn't fresh or raw or organic?!" .... This is all so stupid. Yes. That is canned pineapple. Yes. That is a metal can. Yes. That is a plastic spoon. No. I don't care that it isn't fresh. No. I don't care that it came in a metal can. Why are we like this

Hi readers, today I want to share what I witnessed on social media. So I was scrolling through Instagram when I came upon a post from a girl from my high school bullying another girl's TikTok. Girl A wrote how she was shocked by the way Girl B had dressed for a party and had posted herself dancing with a bikini. And the worst this is that all of girl A’s friend had reposted her post, adding more and more rude and unnecessary comments about girl B.

Girl B is proud of her body and is okay with showing it. Why should one person be allowed to judge another one’s looks? Why do people feel the need to comment publicly on another person when they do not like them, why can't they just mind their own damn business. 

Please help me, am I in the wrong for thinking this shouldn’t be happening in the world?
