As you might expect, a world like Ghostie's is full of quirky creatures to combat, and here's a trio of ones you might find there!
Belby: When encountered in the wild, it'll rush up to an intruder and use a sonic organ inside its body to produce an explosion. However, they can be tamed, and they're used for demoltion purposes on Pequan Island and beyond (As I mentioned back when I introduced Ghostie's father).
Crawleh: While they may look like robots, these creatures are actually closer to insects in physiology. Using its wings and pointed feet, it can easily clamber up and down sheer cliffs with ease, and its long necks give them an ample view of the scenery around it—including potential predators to headbutt.
Stonehed: Stoneheds are what you would expect, a creature resembling a stone that seems to be naught but a hed—er, head. They often disguise themselves among boulders and leap out to attack unsuspecting travellers. Some say there's a kingdom of Stoneheds located in the caverns deep beneath Pequan... But that's just a fairy taie, right?

Bluefur joining RiverClan as a young warrior when she grows estranged from her Clanmates after the deaths of her mother and sister >>>>
It takes her many moons to earn the trust of her new RiverClan Clanmates when she is permitted to join the Clan, but having been born ThunderClan, she isn’t excempt from the occasional jeer surrounding her heritage, especially from cats like Rippleclaw and Beetlenose.
Bluefur earns the Clan’s respect once and for all after risking her life to save the life of Beetlenose, who, still recovering from a severe bout of greencough, slipped and fell into the particularly chaotic river during the hunting patrol. She and Beetlenose both are badly injured, but as they heal in Mudfur’s den, the ice between them melts at long last, and they come to respect each other.
Bluefur names her kits Stonekit, Mistykit, and Moonkit. She had briefly considered the name Mosskit for her youngest daughter, but chose to honor her late mother. They grow into strong young cats, being renamed Stoneheart, Mistycloud, and Moonfeather. Moonfeather herself is trained as a medicine cat.
Bluefur goes on to train Silverpaw, Crookedstar’s daughter. She takes the young apprentice under her wing, considering her as an adopted daughter. The two grow very close during her apprenticeship, and Silverstorm receives her warrior name.
When Oakheart is killed by a rockslide during a battle with ThunderClan, Bluefur is temporarily lost in her grief, experiencing many of the same emotions as she had when Snowfur and Moonflower had died. However, having established close relationships within her Clan, Bluefur is able to pull herself out of her depression and resume serving her Clan. However, she has long-lasting damage from the trauma of Oakheart’s death, and never heals completely.
Mistycloud starts a relationship with Blackclaw and bears his four kits, Reedkit, Pikekit, Oakkit (she replaces Perchkit, and she is a reddish-brown tabby she-kit), and Primrosekit. Bluefur is overjoyed to be a grandmother, and the birth of her daughter’s kits aids in healing the void that Oakheart’s death had left.
When a flood happens in RiverClan, Bluefur takes notice in how Silverstorm behaves around a young ThunderClan warrior named Graystripe. Bluefur is at first hostile to the ThunderClan cats under the suspicion that they stole Mistycloud’s kits, but warms up to them when they, particularly Fireheart, show that their actions were done in earnest.
Silverstorm moves into the nursery, and Bluefur isn’t shocked to learn who the father of the young queen’s kits are. Silverstorm asks Bluefur to keep the identity of her kits’ father a secret, citing that the only other cats who know are Mistycloud and Crookedstar. Bluefur obliges, but warns her foster daughter of the pain that inter-Clan relationships bring, and to be prepared to make tough decisions regarding the futures of her and her kits. However, tragedy strikes RiverClan once again when Silverstorm dies during her kitting, and her two kits are left without a mother. Graystripe names them Featherkit and Stormkit, and abruptly leaves ThunderClan to leave in RiverClan.
Many cats take issue with Graystripe’s arrival in the Clan, particularly Leopardfur, noting that he had gone behind Crookedstar’s back in establishing a relationship with his daughter. Bluefur does what she can to support Graystripe, but is adamant that he does what he must to prove his loyalty to RiverClan. Grief-stricken herself, Bluefur lingers around Silverstorm’s kits, growing to love them just as fiercely as she had loved Silverstorm.
Mistycloud’s kits are apprenticed, and Bluefur receives her grandson, Reedpaw, as her second apprentice. They’ve been close since Reedpaw was a kit, and he’s overjoyed to have Bluefur as his mentor. They enjoy a few moons of peace as mentor and apprentice, with Bluefur telling him stories from her time in ThunderClan.
Crookedstar dies the day after apprenticing Featherpaw and Stormpaw to Mistycloud and Stoneheart respectively. Leopardstar succeeds her leader and appoints Stoneheart as her deputy. Bluefur is proud of how far her kit has come, overjoyed that it would be her kit to become RiverClan’s leader someday.
News of Tigerclaw rising up as ShadowClan’s leader rouses suspicion within RiverClan after Fireheart succeeds Swiftstar (Swiftbreeze) and becomes Firestar. The newly named Tigerstar forms a pact with Leopardstar, combining their two Clans to form TigerClan. It is here when Tigerstar and Bluefur reunite, the ruthless leader sneering at her previous betrayal. Tigerstar openly mocks Bluefur with cruel words regarding Oakheart’s death, her inability to protect Snowfur, and the fact that her bloodline is tainted with betrayal. Bluefur takes notice of how Leopardstar seems to have lost her fiery passion, her role as RiverClan’s leader swiftly being overshadowed as Tigerstar takes over.
Tigerstar imprisons Stoneheart, Moonfeather, Mistycloud, Featherpaw, and Stormpaw, only sparing Bluefur to make her suffer as her kits were starved and mocked. When Stoneheart stands up for the two apprentices, Tigerstar instructs him to prove his loyalty by killing both Stormpaw and Featherpaw. Refusing, Stoneheart leaps at Darkstripe after Tigerstar gives the command to attack, beating the former ThunderClan warrior easily. When Blackfoot joins the battle, Bluefur rushes to protect her son, throwing herself in between what would’ve been Blackfoot’s killing blow and Stonefur. The blow almost succeeds in tearing Bluefur’s throat, and she fights viciously, tearing off Blackfoot’s ear. Too late, Bluefur is alerted to Tigerstar’s attack. She is fatally wounded, but doesn’t die immediately. Tigerstar, knowing the nature of the wounds he’s inflicted, knows that Bluefur will die, noting that she deserves to die slowly for her betrayal.
Moonfeather and Mudfur work desperately to heal Bluefur’s injuries. For a moment, Bluefur thinks that she’ll survive this ordeal, but becomes aware of Moonflower, Snowfur, Silverstorm, and Oakheart’s scents drifting around her. Knowing that it’s her time, Bluefur bids farewell to her children and makes Stormpaw and Featherpaw promise to live lives they can be proud of. She gets to meet Mistycloud’s kits one last time before she dies, and tells Reedpaw that he will be strong without her. After succumbing to her injuries, the Clan is deeply impacted by her death. Beetlenose, now an elder, speaks out against Leopardstar for her cowardice. Leopardstar makes the decision to step down, unwilling to stand up to Tigerstar’s aggression and raw power.
Stoneheart journeys to the Moonstone with Leopardstar, the grief from losing his mother still fresh as his former leader makes multiple attempts to apologize. As Leopardstar gives up her lives, being renamed Leopardfur, Stoneheart is given lives from Crookedstar (strength), Oakheart (honesty), Brambleberry (healing), Riverstar (judgment of character) Moonflower (sacrifice), Snowfur (the ability to give second chances), Silverstorm (loving fearlessly), Willowbreeze (understanding), and finally, Bluefur, who gives him a life for speaking out against injustice and having the ability to stand up for the weak.
Bluefur forgives Leopardfur for her cowardice, and shares a final, tender moment with her son before he returns to RiverClan, being renamed Stonestar. He appoints Mistycloud as his deputy, and the sister-brother duo lead RiverClan into battle against BloodClan after Scourge kills Tigerstar.
The two siblings forge an impressive legacy in the seasons following Stonestar’s rise to leadership, with all of Mistycloud’s kits (Primrosefur, Oaksplash, Pikefang, and Reedwhisker) doing the same. When Reedwhisker becomes a father to Swallowtail’s kits, he is tempted to name his son Bluekit, but instead named him Rainkit, as Bluefur loved the rain and personally taught him how to fight during heavy rainfall.
This is excellent I really love this
