[ID: A mixture of digital and traditional artwork featuring a variety of stylized bugs. The first features the most in one image, with arthropods ranging from flies, weevils, cockroaches, ticks, mantids, and ants to dragonflies, grasshoppers, stinkbugs, big-eyed bugs, silverfish, and earwigs all cluttered around the drawing. The word "BUGS" is spelled out in big bubble letters to the left, going top-down instead of left-right. The next art piece compiles a few assets drawn for a web-design class, including things such as a stag beetle, tortoise beetle, a checkerspot butterfly resting on the word "Endangered", and two ladybugs holding up a banner that reads "Email Updates / Photo Submissions". The next drawing shows the stag beetle up close, with a patterned background using even smaller stag beetles to create a unified image. Artwork 4 showcases a simplified pillbug, styled to resemble a logo and placed within a black box background. The final image shows a comparison image of the tortoise beetle drawing, with the one to the left being from 2021 and the one to the right being from 2023. End ID]

I found my chicken Stinkbug! well, the dog found her. she had gotten stuck between two plywood boards leaned up against the wall under the deck.
she's been missing for FIVE DAYS!
she seems alert, but too weak to stand. she was also trapped kind of lopsidedly, so she kept flopping to the side even when lying down.
when i laid her in front of food and water in the little rehab crate she started eating and drinking ravenously, and she's had one watery poop since i rescued her. she also fairly calmly let me give her a little nutridrench in a dropper (a supplement for a boost of electrolytes/vitamins/minerals that can help them recover). she seems comfortable and is sleeping for now.
one thing I'm worried about is that she couldn't lay eggs while trapped, and I'm hoping that her body just shut that process down under stress and she isn't suffering some kind of complication from an egg issue.
"i really thought i could fit between those boards!"
portrait of a dumbass (loving)
"what took you so long to find me?!"
oh sorry I didn't think to look in between the boards of stacked wood and walked past a million times searching for you while you made zero sound! silly me!
