Imagine: Derek having to step in between you and Scott when Scott decides to come home and makes a remark about Eli

Promising to stay in a “pack” when your a teenager is different then saying “Best friends forever” to your high school friends. they can grow up and they would probably be distant and fall apart and just remember their time in school with good memories.

But you were part of Scott’s Pack. Ironically your husband. was going to turn you into a wolf.- Not in a romantic grand gesture you were 16. he was going to turn you to be apart of his pack. you were all for it. until you heard you could Die if you dont survive the bite. and being the loveable chicken you are. you choose Life. Derek respected that and moved onto your best friend Erica. who accepted.

it wasn’t long after Erica died that you were bitten by Pete. It truly to piss off Scott and Derek. you survived. and were in Scott’s pack. having a “true Alpha” as your leader and during high school made perfect sense. you fully believed Scott to be the true Alpha. you saw it. Scott was everything a leader should be..

but then graduation came. you had the chance to go to experience schools across the country, but you choose to be close cause you wanted to stay to help if the pack needed you. During schooling. you got closer to Derek and your friendship with Stiles. grew. It was Summer when you, Stiles and Derek started a strange Tango. couple.. a trouple . the cool kids call it. what you called it was unbelievable. you were stunned when it started and how naturally it all happened. it was the end of Summer when Lydia wanted Stiles back and you realized you were pregnant. Derek was over the moon and you both decided the Only place to raise the baby would be in Beacon hill your home town. your parents lived there, and Derek grew up there and it was Home.

Returning home Just when Liam went off to explore the world a leap year. Waiting until it was “safe’ to tell everyone you were just happy that liam could explore a bit and you were sure that Scott would keep everyone together he was the glue. he was the Alpha! it was he’s responsibility to keep the pack together.

you all were sitting outside about to have a BBQ at Scott’s place when the scent of blood made everyone leap up and Bolt. you stayed behind Derek’s request. three hours later they returned and Derek explained A 14-year-old girl was bitten by a drive-by werewolf. and she was taken to the hospital. Everyone was tense as Scott was pail as he rubbed his face. Malia was furious as she Bolted away. as did Parrish, and Scott’s Mom. they all separated as Derek took a deep breath. As you asked what the fuck.

“Scott- he’s Leaving Beacon Hill- he’s leaving tomorrow to the city.- he got a new job and everything.”

you sat up on the chair stunned. you said what. hoping Derek was misinformed or said it wrong. he sighed heavily, ‘He’s leaving..”

“he can’t- he’s the alpha- he promised to stay here to protect the town- and help the future wolves, what about that kid? and Malia! they just got together!” Derek stepped over reaching his hand out as you grabbed it, he yanked you up gently a, rubbing your hand over your arm. “he- he doesn’t want to do it. he’s leaving.. we all left.”

“Yea- but we aren’t the Alpha he swore to never leave! and what about that girl?”

“we can help her- and she- we will figure it out.” Derek pulled you into a tight hug as you hugged him tightly.

after that. things happened so fast. Stiles and Lydia didn’t come back to Beacon hill often. due to work. you had your baby Eli. and Derek started his Garages business, and you started working at the high school as a counselor and Helping the girl Cassie with being a wolf and helping others who go thru some sort of change. (one mermaid) Malia worked with Derek, you got married to Derek a beautiful wedding. it was the first time that Stiles and Lydia returned to Beacon. Lydia knew about your trouple and after meeting Eli and seeing the mini version of Stiles was convinced he was Stiles. you didn’t care if he was or Not. Derek had stepped up and was Dad. he was there for everything. the appointments, the baby rashes, the hormones, the entire week you refused to step five feet away from the baby. because your wolf side was very Protective and you refused to leave the baby side and you didn’t sleep. he was there to help you. stiles. once hearing you were pregnant Did want to step up. But Derek and you agreed. he’s Dream was to work for the FBI and right at that time he needed to focus on that.

then the baby was born, Every Werewolf/ coyote. In town could smell the truth.. the Father was Derek. you did take a DNA test with Stiles to give him a piece of mind. Derek knew and it wasn’t overly announced to anyone. cause Only a few knew about your Summer of love and the ones who did Know. Most were supernatural beings with enchanted nose and could smell the truth. but for Stiles, and he’s dad you took the DNA test.

Now.. with Supernatural results and physical Lab results you all knew that Eli was Derek’s Son. He looked like him. same brown hair. same smile. but Did Eli remarkable. Act an ALOT Like Stiles. A Man he Never really hung out with? and you could see the Former best cocky friend who use to use two pencils when he was in the study zone to make notes? Yes. It was strange but it was like you and Derek always had a piece of Stiles with you.

the wedding was simple and just for the family. Half the pack didn’t attend, Scott who lived the closest didn’t bother attending. He only came out for the birth of your kid. and that was it.

He attended Stiles and Lydia’s wedding. those he was the best man. afterward. the pack completely fell apart. Stiles and Lydia barely talk to you guys, and when you last heard. Lydia Separated from Stiles. No reason why. Liam was working across the world. the last time you saw him was he’s graduation, Scott hadn’t come to see you guys in 15 years. he hasn’t talked to Malia for even longer. Scott was too focused on his own life. even when a pack of werewolves came to town and there was a huge battle. Scott knew all about it. but he left it for Derek to handle. Eli was captured, and Derek almost died Fighting to get him back. while you and Malia were injured so badly that you both were in medically induced comas for two weeks to heal. Not Once did Scott come to help. Not even a card saying “thank god you guys aren’t dead.” you were furious that your family was in danger and your Alpha didn’t come to save you. After that you Left Scott’s pack. so did Malia, Derek being a man of honor didn’t want to betray Scott. you couldn’t force it but you said he wasn’t allowed in your home.

So when Scott came back begging for help over Alison. he brought Lydia with him and they talked to Malia. who then found you. you were talking to the coach about the weekend. when you smelt Scott. you didn’t turn away from the coach who saw hie’s old captain and was happy. you turned and hugged Lydia and asked about everything.

“y/n.. I need your help.”

Coach was pulled away as you looked at him, ‘im not apart of your pack anymore..”

“it’s about Alison- and since when?”

hearing your old friend’s name. you were curious. what could a dead girl be involved in? she’s dead. when you all left school and Scott talked about how Alison can come back. you were stunned Scott would mess with the balance of nature like that, bringing back the dead screamed, “Evil” they were dead. the balance of life. you weren’t hugely religious especially since you were a werewolf. but Messing with the dead. screamed. Wrong you shook your head, ‘she is at Peace.. I’m not going to help you rip her out of heaven- or worst. you bring her body back and some demon hops into her body and she turns into a monster. No I’m not going to help. Whatever- this is wrong.’

“Shes right.. what if-” Malia went to comment but Scott said that Alison was calling to him. you went to debut more until you smelt Eli. you sighed heavily, great.. he’s skipping school. AGAIN.

you walked away from them. as Malia joined as Scott asked what was it. “Eli.”

was All Malia said as she ran forward to get him. you couldn’t run in your condition- well you could.. the doctor said you could run. but you felt like it jiggled the baby too much running so you walked. getting to Eli you spoke, “Why the hell aren’t you in school?”

“Why aren’t you? Who are they?”

“Scott and Lydia- get your ass to school!” Malia threaten as Scott gasped, “this is Eli? Man he’s gotten so big.”

“considering the last time you saw him he was three weeks old.. I would Hope! Get your ass to school and we will talk at home!” you snapped as Eli ran off. as Lydia spoke, ‘whoa.. he runs like Stiles..”

you turned to her as you spoke, “he’s like a mini verison.. which is incredible since we haven’t seen Stiles since Christmas.’

Lydia hated that you her friend had a summer fling with Stiles and that Derek was involved. she didn’t like the fact you and Derek held a special part in Stiles’s heart. Especially since your Son looked and reminded her so much of the young reckless Stiles. you held your arms tightly as you spoke, “My answer is No- I’m not helping you disturb our friend resting sou.”

“she could be in trouble/”

Scott stepped forward as you spoke, “Okay? say you three Bring Alison back. she would be a sixteen-year-old girl. What possible use could she be to you? what? yuo going to start up again? and start dating your old high school sweetheart? she will be a Child! Mr Argent will be happy- and I can see why he would want to do this. but she will be a child! and will go to school.. and Maybe she will hit it off with Eli. but She will be a child Scott you cannot be with her.” he growled at you. which hearing the deep roar once again. you held your breath as you didn’t coward. you had your own pack. your family. Malia shivered and lydia backed away but you stood your ground as you snapped, “that’s it.. isn’t it.. you want your old sweetheart back. because you still love her.” he’s eyes were glowing as you shook your head, “the FUCK will I help you do that! if you bring her back.. she’’ll be a child I’m not going to help you rob the cradel- I can’t believe you two would do that to Alison.”

it was lateer that day. you were sitting in the garage with Derek. you got to him first as he sighed heavily. learning what Scott wanted to do. “Peter came bakc.” he reminded you. as you spoke, “He came back- but you know what.. he came back and wasn’t trying to get with an underage Kid.. Alison died at sixteen. she is Still Sixteen.. they bring her back- she will be sixteen and Scott will want to bonk and have a relationship- with a sixteen-year-old he’s trying to bring her back just to screw her. Derek- what if it was Eli?”

he tensed up hearing that, “he died.. and before he died he got into a relationship- first love.. and ten he died.. and 16 years later they come back just to have a relationship- with our 15-year-old?’ it’s disgusting and wrong! Alison is in heaven! let her Rest in peace!”

Derek the told you about the new fire found as you said It was probably Scott trying to make the ritiral for this fucked up plan. it was the next day. when Scott dared to show his face at the shop. you were handing Derek a wrench as he spoke, ‘he’s so much like Stiles.. Stiles must be proud of Eli..”

you looked over at Scott as you spoke, “what you talking about?”

“Stiles- he must be proud of his son.”

Derek tensed up under the truck you could feel him tense up, he hated the fact that So many people assumed Eli was Stiles. he loved Stiles and Eli and loved the fact he was so much Like Stiles. but he also hated the fact no one could believe he was he’s son. Scott missed the “protective scent” that surrounded Eli for the first two weeks of his birth it was a protective measure in the wolf. to warn off anyone who thought about messing with the baby. Scott didn’t know that Eli was Dereks. he didn’t smell the truth and he Also didn’t know about the DNA test you all took.

you stared at Scott as you spoke, “Stiles isn’t the father- Even if he was Biologically he wouldn’t be! Stiles has he’s own life- and he was Never there for Eli. he didn’t do midnight feedings, or baby rashes, growled the monsters out from under the bed. or Hell- Risked his life to save him with a Savage wolf pack came into town. where my son was taken. I was beatng to almost to death and Derek was left to save us all. Stiles isn’t the father of our Son! it’s Derek!’

“come on Y/n. he’s a carbon copy of Stiles- it’s- its only natural that it could be his after your- Affair.”

that made your jaw drop as Derek rolled out from under the truck and stood up as he snapped, “there wasn’t a affair! we had a consensual relationship with Stiles! Y/N didn’t sneak around with Stiles!”

Scott spoke, ‘did you guys ever think about how your actions ruined our pack? your decisons to screw around with Stiles for a summer damaged us? poor Lydia has to go around and know that Stiles Son is running around. espicalyl since they have bene having issue swith trying to get pregnate.!’

Derek went to his wallet that was on the tool Chest and dug something out as you snapped, “Lydia dumped Stiles. He was single. She was dating some trust fued kid and we were single and it happened! Our pack is ruined cause you became selfish and Only cared about yourself!” Derek walked over to Scott as you spoke. he shoved a piece of paper to scott’s Chest, “we took a DNA Test.. Stiles, And Lydia both know the truth.. Eli is my Son!”

Scott looked as he was dead quiet as you kept snapping, “the pack is destroyed because you destroyed it! and if you came here to get Derek to help you- he’s Not going to.” Derek looked at you as you snapped, “Derek I NEVER! put my foot down and pull the wife card.. but if you help this bafoon bring his dead girl friend back from the dead so he can date her again I will build you a dog house and you will be in it for a VERY Long time!”

Derek rubbed his face as he spoke, “you heard the wife.”

“your appart of my pack- you have to help.” Scott pleaded as Derek crossed his arms, “my pack is my family-”

‘you sure that one is yours?” Scott commented as he nudged his head at you. as you gasped as Derek gripped his shirt and they started fighting. you screamed to take it outside. as Derek Tossed Scott outside as you grabb a lead pip and went over to beat the snot out of Scott but Derek grabbed you stopping you ‘easy tiger.”

you cursed as Scott got up and said that Derek was out of the pack so were you. “Free malia from your Shit pack!” you snapped as he stormed off.

Alison returned with No memories of Scott. and she was on a mission to kill everyone. the Ouni was back and it was a huge mess.. thanks to Scott.

there was a moment where you found your boys. tied up to Vines as you dosed them in a power. Derek and Eli sneezed as you fought getting them out. as the battle happened. there was a moment that you and Derek was techonolgy dead. ingulfed by hell fire. but you both came back. to hear Scott saying that Derek was like a brother and how he would take Eli with them.

That cause a even bigger fight

this is still very much still in development in my brain, and i hesitate to go too hard with direct comparisons because, aside from the whole thing where chim and stiles are two unique characters in two very different shows, they're ALSO at totally different life stages. but. because i cannot help myself. i made a list. it's very incomplete and ranges from similar traumas to silly, superficial things.

consider this:

quippy guys with trauma who use sarcasm/wit/humor to deflect, hide their feelings, and/or diffuse situations

shared pain of watching their mothers die slowly when they were young (yeah this one hurt sorry)

subjected to a brother figure being absolutely sickeningly stupidly in love (scott/allison, scott/isaac, scott/kira; buck/eddie)

run around playing detective (see: stiles + all of teen wolf; chim + jonah arc; chim + treasure hunting episode)

nabbed by bad guys (gerard argent; jonah greenway)

make movie references that they think should be common knowledge and are continually exasperated upon discovering the people around them don’t know what they’re talking about (for stiles, it’s scott and star wars; for chim, it’s buck and like everything other than backdraft).

there's also the way i can picture stiles in Chim Situations and chim in Stiles Situations. like:

remember in 6x06 when chim TOLD KAREN THAT HEN HAD DIED?? look me straight in the fucking face and tell me stiles wouldn't pull some hilarious off-the-fucking-wall bullshit like that to get two of his besties back together. (we're gonna ignore the part where allison actually did die. sorry. that's. god. sorry.)

you know how stiles is, like, delighted, actually, to find out scott is a werewolf? he researches, he Knows Things, etc etc. tell me that wouldn't be chim? chim would have a fucking FIELD DAY!

if the love of stiles's life disappeared on him, he would absolutely drop everything and pull a months-long roadtrip to find them and convince them that they are loved and not a danger to their child. their uh. hypothetical child. no, i'm not thinking of eli hale why would you even insinuate such a thing i would never—

alternatively, i could totally see chim showing up to, i don't know, hen's house in the middle of the night and being all like, "the cops found half of a body in the woods, let's go and see if we can find the other half!!" (in this situation karen is melissa. not in a weird way, just in the way that i can picture chim slipping in through a window and karen startled and swinging a baseball bat like CHIM what are you DOING here why'd you come in through a window? and chim's like you locked the front door! and karen's like YEAH EXACTLY.)

(my life and all my earthly possessions for a treasure hunt episode but with teen wolf characters)

hmm. something something kevin following chim into firefighting only to end up dying on the job / scott following stiles into the woods only to end up being bitten by a werewolf. (not that either of them are to blame for it, but like. you know. i imagine they might have some guilt complexes going on.)

something about the way season 1 chim wants so badly to be seen a certain way by tatiana...the way he shows people what he thinks they want to see vs who he actually is because he thinks they won't want who he actually is...something about that feels so true to stiles's character in a way i can't totally put into words.

on a slightly more serious note, i just wanted to say that one of my favorite activities for enrichment in the enclosure (tm) is blorbo overlaying, wherein i take characters from one obsession and think about how i can categorize them based on characters from another obsession (*taylor swift voice* i have this thing, it's autism)(anyway). as a result, i've spent a lot of time thinking how the 9-1-1 characters could be smushed into teen wolf characters.

my knee-jerk urge was to see how much stiles and buck matched; yeah, they're both part of the most popular ship in their respective fandoms, but there's also the adhd thing, the knowledge of lots of different facts thing, the jeep thing, the whole "my worth lies in what i can do for others" thing...i can make a case. but for me, this ultimately breaks down when i think about how buck is just so...genuine and kind? he’s earnest. he’s gentle. the man's a himbo (affectionate). stiles is...very much Not. stiles is ALSO (when he hasn’t been, as one might say, sandpapered by the fandom) prickly. he’s got an inner circle that he’ll protect with his life. if you’re not in that circle, you’re just not really on his radar, unless you’re trying to join that circle, and then he’s suspicious until he’s sorta like vetted you.

(this is totally an aside, but it's the same reason why i've never really thought grumpy/sunshine works for sterek. derek is grumpy, sure, but stiles sure as fuck isn't sunshine.)

ANYWAY. i don’t think that’s chimney, exactly (i think he's probably a little sillier and friendlier), but i do think he and stiles both have a similar edge to them. like: see me. no wait. don't look. i'll make you see me. i'll make a snarky comment and draw attention to myself. but don't look directly at me. i'll talk and talk but i won't say anything real. they had to be the grown up in their home too young. they're terrified of losing their people, because their people are so fucking important to them, and because they know what it feels like, to lose someone, and if it happens again, it'll wreck them. they've got anxiety buried under three movie references and a wry side-eye and an exasperated, flailing hand gesture. they're fiercely loyal and protective.

uh. well. i guess that's all (lying LYING but i'm cutting myself off here). also, i feel like i didn't quite do chim justice so. sorry for that. and here's hoping for a chim-centric storyline (breakdown era?!) in our near future. <3

Hey. hi. do you wanna hear my teen wolf homestuck classpects. of course you do.

thank you for listening. theres more characters i want to do but i still havent been able to settle on anything yet. reasoning below the cut

scott: maid of blood. very blood player. his whole life revolves around his relationships, his love life, his friendships, his pack, his mother and father. hes also all about being a true alpha and a natural leader. these are all blood player traits. maids are generally quite passive, starting out with an absence of their aspect and relying on others for it. sounds like scott! he relies on the people in his life to keep him anchored, relies on derek to teach him how to use his abilities, relies on stiles' friendship and is generally quite passive in his role as a protagonist. eventually maids get so much of their aspect they dont know what to do with it. this happens to scott as he comes into his own as an alpha and has to navigate being the leader of his pack.

jackson: thief of life. thief theif thief. his jealousy, his competitiveness. this guy can be a hundred miles away and you can still see hes a theif. thieves horde their aspect, they want to be the best at their aspect, and if anyone else tries to be better than them they will shit and puke themselves to death. i make him a theif of life because he killed people as the kanima (stealing their lives) so i think it is fitting in that sense. but life also represents affluence, healing, growth. jackson is always trying to flex his wealth and his talent and his academic prowess. he wants to prove he has a better life than anyone else. i think its also fitting with his character arc, because he had to heal the emotional baggage that prevented him from becoming an actual werewolf.

lydia: seer of doom, because she can see when people are going to die. that much is obvious. i debated on making her a mage because she suffers a lot from her aspect but the knowledge mage's gain through their suffering is more for their benefit, while seer's knowledge is for the benefit of others. shes also a seer because she gravitates a lot to knowledge, even outside of her banshee abilities. shes a smart girl! she loves insight! she knows a lot, and she shares that with other people. this is also why i debate on making her a light player, since light is also about attention ('spotlight' and 'bringing light to something'), knowledge and intelligence. but i think the doom aspect has way more influence on her character, since goddamn does this shit plague her. doom players are like that. their life is defined a lot by sucking real bad. and her moments of intelligence can generally be attributed to her seer-iness. so seer of doom is my final assessment, as she acts both like a seer and a doom player, and it takes into account the banshee part of her character more. mage of light secondary maybe? or maybe seer of light primary, and mage of doom secondary. could go either way.

derek: heir of rage. okay so. i dont know that much about how heirs themselves act, but their thing generally is being surrounded by their aspect. and rage represents.... any negative emotions. anger. grief. hate. suffering. as well as ugly truths. well, its safe to say derek is surrounded by that. one could say his entire life is dictated by rage. this is a little bit biased but i think heirs can be a little woe is me. because its not usually their fault that their aspect surrounds them all the damn time, that shit just gravitates to them. and like derek. yeah. he gets to have all the rage in the world, what with his whole family burning to death, and having to kill his first love, and the banshee pussy gone wrong event etcetera. and if you take it literally i also think he straight up is a rageful guy. he totally has a reason for it but yeah boy hes fucking mad and brooding and shit all the time and thats absolutely a side effect of being a rage player.

stiles: mage of heart. this one was so hard and i couldnt tell you why. i tried overthinking it a lot but in the end i just went with my gut instinct. and that tells me stiles is a heart player. hes just so full of heart! hes a funny, silly guy, with a lot of feelings bursting out of that head of his. he contrasts mind a lot with his impulsiveness and instinct and biases. hes rarely objective, hes really in his head, and he never misses an opportunity to voice his feelings. heart all the way. the other shoe of this is that hes a mage. now, if you look at this before void stiles, mage is still sort of fitting because we know that his impulsiveness as part of his adhd is making him fail in school, thereby making him suffer through heart. but heart is also about identity. and if you look at his season 3b arc... yeah. its all about losing himself to the nogitsune. literally not knowing whether hes his true self or not. and for a heart player that loss of identity, that struggle to find yourself, is suffering through heart. mage is also a knowledge class, which i think accounts for stiles detective work and penchant for sticking his nose into things.

#twedit #scott mccall #scottmccalledit #scottmccallweek #HELLO I LOVE HIM!!!!!!#so ive honestly never been heavily involved in other fandoms so i dont really know if this is unique or not but i think something about tw #is that it has so many characters that often they get flattened into archetypes by fandom to make them distinguishable #which makes sense!!!! but also leads to ignoring the entirety of the character in favor of tropes #and while scott is often willing to kill monsters (the beast when it stops being mason and is just the beast; the anukite; etc)#he often tries to be forgiving when the lines are blurred (theo; the betas who killed hunters in s5; the hunters in s6)#and i think a lot of that genuinely is because of who he was in s1!! he was someone who WANTED to kill peter. he wanted to. he would've #and as time goes on who he is and what he's willing to do changes and he goes from someone willing to kill to willing to die #(which: not that scott was some kind of monster in s1. he was a kid who was traumatized and hunted by a monster and so even when peter was a #dying human on the forest floor it was VERY easy to not see him this way and VERY easy to not care because scott WAS going to die; allison's #father at this point was VERY WILLING to kill him; and being a werewolf was a death sentence; and killing peter was supposed to cure him)#BUT he never actually....... is not willing to kill? it's just ALWAYS the worst case scenario. it's always the last option #and we see a lot of him being at his end in 3a especially (which is also before stiles gets posessed and blurs the lines in a big way again)#right like gerard is out of chances; jennifer is going to kill his mother and the sheriff and chris she is out of chances; deucalion #harassed him for the entirety of 3a and his pack killed people he's out of chances)#but then as it goes on the threats become other kids. become reflections of him; of allison; of stiles. these are not people he is willing #to put down. these are not people deserving of being put down. and so we see a lot less of this!!!!#so i tried to choose scenes where he wasn't joking or talking hypothetically; he was looking at (or in the case of the last gif about to fac #e down) the people he was threatening and it was not a hypothetical it was a FACT; this is what will happen next #let me kill peter; i poisoned gerard; i will kill gerard; i will kill jennifer; i will kill deucalion; i will fight for my life against pete #r; i will kill this random dude who tried to kill me if he makes me; i will put gerard down to end this war #and it's these moments that make everything else SO POIGNANT and i wish we got this explored in s5 so much more bc s5 was the season of Oh!#Scott's Baby! you ran through the empty halls of beacon hills memorial hospital, the lights flickering above you. being separated from stiles and everyone else was not ideal right now, considering the nogitsune and his oni were chasing you down.

as much as stiles was doing his best to keep you safe, you'd managed to get away from him without realizing, and you were on your own.

you stopped dead in your tracks when you turned a corner, seeing the familiar body of your best friend accompanied by a tall masked figure, but it wasn't him. it was another version of him, one that fed on chaos, strife, and pain.

“shit,” you whispered to yourself.

“nowhere to go now," said the nogitsune. he and one of the the oni began walking towards you, and you turned around to run back to where you came from, only to see the other oni at the end of the hall.

here you were, in the middle of an empty hospital floor, stuck with three supernatural beings trying to kill you.

the figure behind you suddenly stepped forward, and you felt a sharp pain through your back and into your stomach, warm liquid soaking your skin and dripping down your front.

you looked down, mouth agape, to see a blade sticking through your torso. you looked back up to see a smirk on the face of the creature posing as your best friend.

the blade was pulled out of you and all three of them faded into thin air, causing you to drop to your knees. you managed to crawl over so you were leaning back against the wall, painting a trail of blood behind you.

you placed your hand to the wound, pulling it away to see it was a deep red. you let out another tired ‘shit’, a tear sliding down your cheek.

it wasn’t long before you heard footsteps running toward you, looking up to see stiles and scott, both of them with a look of horror on their faces.

stiles immediately knelt in front of you, looking at your stomach.

“y/n...”

“it’s okay. i’m okay.”

“you’re dying.”

you gave him a small smile. “yeah.”

he reached over and gripped your hand, wrapping both of his around it. “i’m sorry.”

“for what?”

“i should’ve been here.”

just then, you shivered hard enough to send pain radiating through your stomach.

“here,” he said, taking his jacket off. you leaned forward and allowed him to drape it over your shoulders.

“thank you.” you started crying again, making him hold your hand again. “i didn’t think tonight would be the night. i thought i’d make it a little while longer. at least until all this is over.” you coughed and wiped your mouth, seeing blood on the back of your hand. “thank you guys for everything. you saved my life more times than i can count.”

“i’m sorry we couldn’t have done that tonight,” scott said, crouching down next to stiles, who had started crying.

you reached up and wiped his cheek with your clean hand.

“i’m just glad you’re here now. i didn’t want to die by myself.” you began feeling lightheaded, and your vision slowly got foggy. “i love you guys, you know?”

you’d told them both you loved them in platonically many times. but this time was different. this time would be the last either of them heard it.

and within the next minute, you were lifeless. your head fell forward, your eyes closed, and your limbs relaxed. it was silent for a moment before stiles leaned forward, pushed your head back, and pressed a kiss to your forehead.

scott reached over and placed his hand on his best friend’s shoulder, who wiped his nose with the back of his wrist.

“we can’t just leave her here,” stiles said. “we can’t leave her body.”

“we can take her.”

neither of them wanted to step outside. neither of them wanted their friends to see your lifeless body, which was covered in blood. neither of them wanted anyone else to suffer.

but they knew they had to bring you with them. so scott pushed and held the door open for stiles, who was carrying you bridal style. he was numb, a dark cloud of sadness hanging low over his head.

isaac was the first to notice you. and being your closest friend, he was also the first of them to cry. he ran over, asking what happened.

he wanted to scream. he wanted to kill something — or someone. he wanted to get justice for you, for everyone who’d been killed by the nogitsune.

and that’s exactly what everyone set out to do, while your body laid comfortably in the backseats of stiles’ jeep.
