there was a haunted house in town; white walls, white tiles, wooden doors. seemed pretty normal, right? but many things happen every single night; voices, crying, screaming, poltergeist. the atmosphere was bad. probably the ghosts, probably just the weather. but i was sure it was haunted, because normal houses weren't this bad. at least that's what i saw from other houses around. so, i wrote poems for the ones living there and this is one of those poems.

So ig guy -- who will just be called IG -- has told me he and his wife have decided to stick it out at least until the kids move out. The youngest is starting college in the fall, they're big girls who should be able to grasp things just don't always work.

He's like "so I guess what I really do want is a mistress." Um, not really my scene. He said he totally knows that's not what I want and he's fine with a purely platonic friendship (if you are constantly thinking about fucking me, it's not purely platonic and you're just a liar hoping to someday get up my skirt) and that he understands if I don't even want that.

But we really like each other. He's the first person since M (7 years ago) I've really sparked with and he's said if he'd met me earlier he probably would have fallen in love with me.

I told him if they'd agreed to stay together just for the kids, he should talk to her about poly and try to get her to at least read about it (whether it's a yes or a no, really -- she should be making an informed decision) and that until then it'd have to stay on a friendship/emotional basis.

I also admitted to having real feelings for him and that I couldn't guarantee how long any type of relationship, including friendship, would last before it became just too painful to see and talk to him.

RAAAHH this is what we would have gotten the kids to do #so I guess we're just too good at our jobs lol #that one LU post with the lads lined up with their bows? It's AWESOME #but I taught a bunch of kids archery this summer and none of the lads have the right posture lol #I'm walking up and down that line readjusting all of them ahsgdsdf #Imagine Wars going to Wind though like 'remember to pull back to your smile! :D ' #and Wind just deadeye staring him down like you serious rn? #caught and removed a scorpion from the lake cabin biffy this summer - that was very exciting #calmed the campers down and put them to bed and then rolled up my sleeves and asked the program staff who was staying with us #for emotional support #her only experience with scorpions was from animal crossing so she was like 'get ready to run' and I'm- I think we'll be okay #anyways it's her perched on one of the toilets with a spray bottle of bleach and me with an empty tupperware from dinner #I caught it under the tupperware but IT MOVED THE TUPPERWARE #we drowned it in bleach and it like finally died but it took a while and then we flung it into the woods BYE BUGGY
