Tumblr media
You were not a morning person.
Theo knew that. Hell, everyone in Slytherin knew that. Waking you up before noon on the weekend was a one way ticket to a world of pain. For some reason, your boyfriend was determined to make the top of your hit list this morning.
You groaned as Theo shifted beneath you, rousing you from sleep. He stroked your hair gently and pressed a kiss on your temple. “I have to go to practice, amorina.”
Sunlight streamed in through the skylight above Theo’s dorm, reflecting the rippling waves of the Black Lake across your boyfriend’s goose down comforter. You buried your head in the crook of his neck.
“Five more minutes,” you mumbled against his throat, relishing in his warmth. “Please, Teddy.”
A low chuckle rumbled through his chest. “You said that five minutes ago, sweetheart. Do you want your sweet and sexy boyfriend to be maimed by his captain?”
“If Malfoy so much as touches a hair on your head, I’ll turn him into a ferret again and set him loose in the Forbidden Forest.” You snuggled closer and twined your legs together. “Let’s see how threatening he can be against Aragog.”
“Sometimes you genuinely scare me, Y/N.” He wrapped his arms around your waist. “But apparently, fear is a very effective aphrodisiac for me. I’m learning a lot of new things about myself.”
“I can threaten you some more if you want,” you murmured sleepily. “As long as you stay in bed with me, Teddy.”
Theo groaned as you kissed his neck. “You’re absolutely cruel, you know that?” He tilted your chin up, pressing his lips against yours. You sighed dreamily into the kiss, morning breath and all.
Even though you’ve only been officially dating for three months, it felt like you and Theo had been together for a lifetime. You were already inseparable before, but after his confession at the quidditch game after party, you spent nearly every waking moment together. Hence waking up in his bed.
Theo placed a final kiss on the tip of your nose. “Now I really have to go.” You sighed in defeat, pouting like a petulant child. Your boyfriend laughed. “I’ll see you in the stands, babe.”
“Fine,” you mumbled grumpily.
You watched as Theo hastily threw on his quidditch uniform, admiring the view of his sunkissed skin and toned chest and abs. Thank Merlin for quidditch.
The cheeky tosser winked before heading for the pitch. You turned over in bed, burying yourself in Theo’s scent as you drifted back to sleep.
Several hours later, you finally managed to get dressed and dragged yourself to the Great Hall for a late lunch. When you got to your usual table, you found the boys and Pansy waiting for you. Draco and Mattheo were talking in hushed tones, no doubt discussing their strategy to destroy the Ravenclaws while Enzo scarfed down a plate of steak and eggs like his life depended on it. Pansy watched in disgust, wrinkling her nose at your friend.
“For Salazar’s sake, Lorenzo. You’re going to choke to death and I refuse to resuscitate you.”
“Don’t worry, Enzo,” you said as you slid in next to him. “I’m sure we can find a volunteer to perform mouth to mouth on you.”
As if on cue, a gaggle of fourth years giggled at the end of the table. Enzo didn’t seem to notice. Beside him, Blaise met your eye and shook his head. The two of you often joked that Draco took all the arrogance in their family’s gene pool, leaving poor Enzo hopelessly oblivious. The fact that sweet Lorenzo was related to someone as arrogant as Malfoy never failed to completely baffle the mind.
“Well don’t you look adorable, Y/N?” Draco drawled. “All decked out in your boyfriend’s jersey.”
You looked down at the emerald and silver jersey with the number 6 embroidered on the front, which was so big on you that the hem hit your knees. Matching streaks of your house colors adorned your cheeks and you had pulled your hair back with a pair of charmed serpent clips that writhed through your pigtails every so often.
“And up before mid afternoon, no less,” Mattheo commented.
You frowned, flicking him off before reaching for a sandwich. “Speaking of my boyfriend. Where is the little rascal?”
“Last I checked he was still on the pitch,” Draco said as you stuffed a few chips into your mouth. “Practicing to show off in front of you, I imagine.”
“I’ve seen him play before.”
Mattheo stole a chip from your plate. “Yes, but not as his girlfriend.”
You smacked his hand away and he gasped dramatically. Mattheo fetched something out of his robes and set it down in front of you. The small glass vial shimmered in the light.
“Your boyfriend wanted me to give you this.”
A motion sickness draught. Theo knew how queasy and nauseous you got during his quidditch games, so he’d concocted your own special cure for it. Hot and smart. Gods, you were lucky.
You flushed, pocketing the potion. “Thanks.”
“You idiots better win,” Pansy said. “Or else all my hard work for tonight’s after party will go to waste.”
Draco scoffed. “You mean our hard work?” He turned over to you, frowning. “Pans over here had us working harder than a house elf. I’ve got glitter in places glitter should never be.”
“Fitting for someone who thinks the sun shines out of his arse. Maybe it’ll finally teach you some humility, Malfoy.”
Mattheo draped an arm around your shoulder. “You know why our sweet little Pansy’s got her wand in a twist though, right?” He leaned in conspiratorially. “She finally plucked up the courage to invite a certain Ravenclaw to the after party.”
You squealed in delight. “Is that true, Pans? Did you finally ask Luna out?”
Pansy glared at you, practically hissing as she grabbed your elbow. “Say that a little louder, why don’t you? I don’t think they heard you across the room.”
You snorted. Your best friend has always been a little tightly wound, but Pansy Parkinson with a crush was a whole different animagus.
“Well, I, for one, am excited for this development in your love life,” you exclaimed, squeezing her shoulder. “It’s about time you did something about this little crush.”
“Says the witch who took twelve years to admit her feelings,” Pansy said with an affectionate eye roll. “Sorry love, but I’m not taking advice from you.”
“I’m choosing to attribute that to first date jitters and not a blatant insult against your best and most loyal friend.” You picked at your sandwich, waving a pickle in the air excitedly. “Don’t be nervous, Pans. She’s going to love you.”
The encouragement was met with an elbow to your ribs. You paused mid-chew, ready to give Pansy a peace of your mind when a soft voice interrupted you.
“Hi, guys,” greeted Luna Lovegood. She wore a striped blue and bronze sweater, representing the colors of her house. Strapped to her back was a set of feathered eagle wings that nearly dragged to the floor. “I love your snake clips, Y/N. It’s always great to see displays of house spirit. Beware of the nargles, though. They do love shiny things.”
“I’ll keep an eye out for them, Luna.” You said with a smile. “I’m looking forward to your commentary tonight. It’s going to be a heated match between our houses, but one thing’s for certain. The after party will be absolutely mental no matter who wins. Isn’t that right, Pans?”
Pansy nodded, the action making her sleek bob graze her sharp cheekbones. You always thought that your friend possessed an austere sort of beauty, but everything about her seemed to soften as she turned her attention on Luna.
“We can still count on you to make it tonight, right Lovegood?” There was a hint of playfulness in Pansy’s tone that you rarely heard her use. You couldn’t help but smirk. Pansy Parkinson fancied the absolute pants out of Luna Lovegood.
Luna smiled shyly, hiding beneath a strand of platinum blonde hair. “Thank you for the invitation, Pansy. I look forward to seeing everyone tonight.”
“See you tonight, Luna.”
Luna gave your table a friendly wave before returning to her own fellow Ravenclaws. You waited until she was out of ear shot before bursting into a fit of giggles.
“See you tonight Luna,” you repeated, putting on your best impression of Pansy’s husky voice. “Pansy Parkinson’s totally going to snog Luna Lovegood tonight!”
“Oh, shut up,” replied Pansy. She tried her best to look annoyed, but the small smile on her face made it rather unconvincing.
After teasing your friend for at least another hour, the two of you finally headed down to the quidditch pitch. The boys left long ago, presumably to warm up before the big game. You followed Pansy into the stands, cringing slightly at how high up the seats were.
Across the pitch, the feedback from Luna’s sonoroused voice rumbled through the crowd. “Welcome fellow students. Join me in kicking off this long awaited match between Slytherin and Ravenclaw, the house of yours truly. As always, the goal is to provide live updates and unbiased commentary throughout the game, but I make no promises. Even a Corkendoodle wouldn’t be able to resist showing a little partiality. Now without further ado, let the games begin!”
The crowd roared as players from each side soared through the air at breakneck speed. You gripped the railing, thankful for Theo’s concoction as you squinted at the blur of players. As always, Madam Hooch kicked off the game by releasing a set of bludgers and the elusive golden snitch. With bated breath, you watched as she threw the quaffle into the air which marked the official start of the match.
A familiar figure zoomed past you, emerald robes streaming behind him as he caught the quaffle and cradled it under his arm. Theo circled through the air, easily outmaneuvering the chasers from the opposing team. He flew straight for a blonde Ravenclaw, making the poor fifth year think that they were going to collide before he swerved at the last second and looped around the frightened player.
“And that’s Nott of Slytherin with an excellent fake out,” Luna announced in her dreamy voice. “Oddly enough, this chaser is heading in the opposite direction of the goalposts. Another clever tactic, I presume.”
Theo brought his broom to a stop directly in front of you, hovering in mid-air while he cradled the quaffle underneath one arm. He immediately broke out into a grin when he saw you wearing his jersey.
“In a turn of events, Nott visits the Slytherin stands for a little chat with his friends,” commented Luna. “Actually, that’s his lovely girlfriend Y/N. I did warn her about attracting the Nargles, but nevertheless those serpent clips are a work of art. Oh look, there’s Pansy Parkinson! I know she looks a bit intimidating at first, but she’s really quite nice.”
Beside you, Pansy turned as red as a tomato. You stifled a giggle just as Theo pulled close, his watercolor eyes crinkling with amusement.
“My jersey looks good on you, Y/N.” Theo drawled, taking the time to flirt despite the fact that he was currently in the middle of a game. He leaned in and whispered low so only you could hear, “But I bet it would look even better on my floor.”
“Win this match and you might get your wish, babe.”
A smirk curved against his lips. “You evil little temptress. I hope you know that I’m holding you to that,” he inched closer, his gaze dropping to your mouth. “Do I at least get a kiss from my good luck charm?”
You shook your head in disbelief. “Aren’t you supposed to be doing something right now? Like, I don't know, playing the bloody quidditch game!”
He shrugged, winking at you in that cheeky way of his. “I’m perfectly capable of multitasking.”
Just then, a bludger whizzed past the stands, but Theo was entirely unbothered as he flipped over on his broom to avoid the hit. Your boyfriend hung upside down, keeping his eyes on you the entire time. “Now about that kiss, dolcezza.”
“That’s quite a creative way to avoid a bludger,” Luna continued. “I once hung upside down in a tree in search of moon frogs and it wasn’t the most comfortable position, but not the most uncomfortable either. Oh! It looks like things are heating up for this lovely couple.”
“You’re an absolute menace, Theodore,” you said with an exasperated sigh before pulling him by the collar and kissing him. The logistics were complicated by the fact that he was currently airborne, but Theo smiled against your lips all the same.
“A good luck kiss,” Luna said with delight. “Those two are absolutely adorable, aren’t they? Ah, young love.”
Satisfied, Theo flipped right side up and palmed the quaffle in his hand. “You hear that, babe? We’re absolutely adorable.”
You rolled your eyes affectionately. “Yeah, yeah. Now go out there and kick some Ravenclaw arse!”
Thanks to Teddy’s potion, you actually managed to keep your eyes open for the entirety of the game. It was a heated match with both teams playing with equal ferocity, but the boys had the upper hand. They moved as one, predicting each other’s moves from years and years of practice. Even the newest additions, Violet and Tracey, seemed to fit seamlessly into the group.
By the time you reached the tail end of the game, your throat felt raw from cheering and screaming. Pansy was in a worse state, hurling insults when one of the Ravenclaw beaters attempted to grab the tail end of Blaise’s broom.
“That was obviously a bloody fucking foul!” Pansy screamed.
“Some colorful words from the Slytherin stands,” Luna said with a little smile, making Pansy blush. “Madam Hooch seems to agree. Robinson has been fouled for blagging Zabini.”
You gripped the end of the railing as Theo zoomed past. The score was tied, but if he made this goal it would put Slytherin up by ten points, effectively winning not only the game but also the Quidditch Cup.
“You got this, babe,” you yelled. “No mercy, Teddy!”
Theo met your gaze and smirked. Vicious woman, he mouthed before careening straight for the goalpost.
The Ravenclaw keeper looked panicked as Theo dodged the other players and reeled the quaffle back. The shot was perfect, whizzing past the post so fast that the keeper didn’t even have time to react.
“Nott with the winning shot!” Luna announced cheerily. “That’s game, everyone. Congratulations to this year’s Quidditch Cup winner: Slytherin House!”
The cheers that erupted from your housemates followed you all the way to the common room. In true Pansy fashion, the large space had been meticulously decorated with banners and streamers. The music blared and the liquor flowed, marking the start of a night of mischief and revelry.
While waiting for the boys to finish showering, you helped Pansy play hostess. You greeted friends from other houses, filling their cups with your signature concoction. A fruity drink that masked the taste of liquor so well that the drinker didn’t realize they were pissed until it was too late.
“Congratulations on the win,” said a familiar voice. You turned around and saw Murdock raising his green cup in a toast.
You smiled, clinking your plastic cup against his. “Thanks Christoph. Good to see you here,” you lowered your voice, darting your head around the corner. “So things are going well with Daphne?”
Christoph smiled shyly. “Yeah, thanks for introducing us by the way. We’re going on our first date to the Three Broomsticks tomorrow.”
After his last disastrous attendance at a Slytherin party, you figured it was the least you could do for your Hufflepuff friend. “Don’t mention it, Christoph. What are friends for? Besides, it’s obvious that you two would be absolutely perfect together.”
“Who’s absolutely perfect together?” A familiar voice drawled. You felt an arm wrap protectively around you. “Besides us, of course.”
Even before you were dating, Theo had a tendency to be overprotective towards you. Most of the time he was pretty good at controlling it, but sometimes his jealousy got the best of him. It would’ve annoyed you if it wasn’t so damn attractive.
“Hey babe,” you said with a little smile, leaning up to kiss his cheek. “I was just telling Christoph here that he should offer Daphne a drink. They’d make a cute couple, don’t you think?”
Realization flooded Theo’s features, followed by a hint of embarrassment. “Definitely,” he said with a rueful smile. “Take it from me, mate. Don’t wait too long before chasing after the girl of your dreams.”
Christoph nodded, looking determined. “Thanks, mate.”
You handed your friend another cup and pointed him in Daphne’s direction. Beside you, Theo smiled sheepishly. His hair was slightly wet from the shower and he smelled like sea salt spray and smoke. The cozy knitted sweater he had thrown on brought out his watercolor eyes.
“Nice save, babe.”
“What can I say? I’m a hopeless romantic,” Theo said, placing his hands on your waist. “You bring it out of me, cara mia.”
You rolled your eyes fondly. “You know, I’d be mad if jealous Theo wasn’t so hot.” Theo grinned as you placed your arms around his neck. “But scoring that winning goal? That was downright sexy.”
Your boyfriend toyed with the hem of your shirt. “Oh yeah? Well, I had some motivation, thanks to our little bargain.” His hands slipped underneath your shirt, tracing teasing circles on your hips. “I delivered on my end. Now it’s time for you to pay up, love.”
“Good things come to those who wait, Theo.”
Theo pouted. “Fine, but only because I know you’re worth it.”
You pulled Theo in by the belt loop and kissed him, long and hard. He lifted you up and groaned as you tugged at his curls. Theo sighed into your mouth as you took control, showing him exactly how much you wanted him. You topped the kiss off by gently biting on his bottom lip. When you pulled away, Theo looked dazed.
“Fuck,” he said in a low, dark voice.
“A little preview,” you said with a smirk. “Just so you don’t think I’m completely heartless.”
“So my dorm or yours?”
You chuckled. “Theo, you haven’t even made your rounds. This party is to celebrate your win, you know.”
“Fuck the party,” he said dismissively. “You think I care about talking to all of these people after that? What do you want, love? Do you want me to beg? Get on my knees for you? I’ll do anything, princess.”
Salazar fucking save you.
You would’ve taken Theo up on the offer, but this was his moment. He deserved to be celebrated. Besides, he’d be all yours by the end of the night.
“As much as I love the visual,” you said, pecking him on the cheek. “I want you to celebrate with the team. You lot deserve it after working so hard all year.” You lowered your voice, whispering in his ear. “After that, we can go up to your dorm and I’ll give you your reward. Think you can do that, babe?”
“Yes ma’am,” Theo replied. “God you’re fucking sexy when you’re bossing me around.”
You smirked. “Good boy.”
Theo groaned before slipping his hand into yours. “Now come on, before I change my mind and claim my reward right here, right now.”
The two of you made rounds through the party, stopping here and there to talk to your respective friends. Most of the time, you were by Theo’s side watching in admiration as everyone congratulated him on the winning goal.
Even in deep conversation, Theo never stopped touching you. Whether it was the soothing rub of his thumb across your knuckles or his arm draped protectively around your waist, it was obvious that physical touch was your boyfriend’s love language.
You couldn’t help but smile at how easy it came to him, like touching you was as natural as breathing air.
“What’s that smile for, love?”
“I just really fucking fancy you.”
Merlin’s bloody beard. The smile on Theo’s face completely took your breath away. His eyes, which you often joked gave him resting witch face, lit up brighter than the sun.
“I really fucking fancy you too, darling.”
Finally, the two of you reached your friends on the other side of the common room. Blaise and Enzo were engaged in a competitive game of beer pong against Mattheo and Draco.
“The man of the hour,” Malfoy announced, clapping Theo on the back. “You fucking killed it out there, mate.” He turned back to the other boys. “We all did.”
“This calls for a celebratory shot!” you announced. “Wait, where’s Pans?”
Mattheo smirked. “Chatting up our commentator. Looks like our little Pansy’s all grown up.”
Across the room, you shot Pansy a wink as she and Luna sat rather close together, huddled on the couch and giggling every so often. You rallied the boys, raising your cups in a cheer. Pansy affectionately flipped you the bird as all six of you hooted and hollered, but she downed the liquor nonetheless.
The firewhisky must have been a fast acting agent of liquid courage because not even a second after she set her cup down, Pansy was kissing Luna. You squealed in delight while the rest of the group drunkenly cheered.
This night just kept getting better and better.
“Another one of our finest lost to young love,” Draco announced dramatically.
You rolled your eyes. “You could be too if you stopped being a coward and finally asked Hermione out.”
Malfoy nearly spat out his drink. “Granger? You think I fancy Granger? Little miss know it all, member of the Golden Trio, poster child Gryffindor Granger? Are you taking the piss, Y/N?”
“Oh please,” Mattheo said with a scoff. “We all see the way you look at her in the Great Hall. You don’t just fancy Granger. You’re absolutely smitten, mate.”
Enzo nodded empathetically. “Mattheo’s right, cousin. You should just ask Hermione out on a date.”
“Have you lot forgotten that the madwoman once punched me in the face?”
“I think she’d be good for you,” you said. “Set you straight.”
“Set me straight?” Draco repeated. “I don’t need anyone to set me straight. Especially not Granger. I mean, the witch is insufferable with her stupid curly hair and stupid big brown eyes and stupid flawless skin.”
Blaise sighed. “No offense, mate, but you’re even thicker than Enzo when it comes to girls.”
Enzo protested in response, but Draco was too busy having a meltdown to notice. His pale complexion blossomed with red as his mouth gaped open. “Do I like Granger?”
You rolled your eyes. “Obviously, you blubbering idiot.”
Draco glared at you, then at Theo. “Nott, please get your girlfriend away from me before I have a full on fit.”
Theo only laughed, pulling you closer. “Gladly. We were heading out anyway.”
You hugged your friends goodbye. Draco was still frowning at his drink when you and Theo finally headed out of the common room.
“Think about it, ferret boy,” you hollered from the door. “Granger’s a catch! We could use more female presence in this absolute sausage party of a friend group.”
With that, Theo hauled you over his shoulder. You squealed, pinching his bum as he carried you out of the common room. “Alright, love. That’s enough of that.”
When you finally reached Theo’s dorm, the two of you fell over in absolute hysterics. You plopped down on his bed, spreading like an obnoxious starfish. Theo followed after, diving on top of you.
“I think you gave Malfoy an identity crisis,” he said, laughing into your hair.
You shrugged, rolling over so that you were on top of him. “He deserved it.”
Theo toyed with the hem of your shirt, tracing circles on your hips. “And what about what I deserve?”
“It’s coming, babe,” you said with a sly smile. “And pretty soon you will be too.”
“Don’t tease, cara mia.”
“I never tease,” you purred. “I only promise.”
With a satisfied smirk, you pressed your lips against his. Theo groaned into your mouth as you straddled his lap, deepening the kiss. Large hands roamed underneath your shirt, his palms rough and calloused from hours and hours of playing quidditch.
A sinfully delicious moan slipped past Theo’s lips as you trailed kisses along his jaw, throat, and neck. You sucked on his flesh, hard enough to leave marks. You liked knowing that every time he changed, little reminders of you littered his skin.
“Bloody fucking hell,” Theo muttered.
“You’ve got a filthy mouth, Theo,” you teased. “I bet I could shut you up though.”
Your boyfriend groaned like he was in pain. “Please do.”
You winked before disappearing underneath the covers. Theo’s eyes fluttered close as you continued kissing down his chest, taking the time to trace your name on his abs with your tongue, which seemed to be a real crowd pleaser. You stripped off his trousers, kissing his perfectly defined v line before licking a teasing stripe along the underside of his cock.
“Figlio di puttana,” Theo cursed, low and rough. Your knees nearly buckled. There was truly nothing hotter than your boyfriend swearing in Italian. “Don’t stop, Y/N.”
“What was that you said about delivering on my promise?” you asked innocently, looking up at him through your lashes. “Because it feels like I’m giving you the winner treatment right now, doesn’t it baby?”
A choked moan was your only response as you took him into your mouth. You gagged as he hit the back of your throat, bobbing your head up and down in a steady rhythm. Theo fisted your hair in his hands, watching through heavy lids as you sucked your cheeks in.
“You’re going to be the death of me,” he groaned, stroking your cheek. “But I’m willing to die a happy man.”
You chuckled, sending vibrations to his sensitive head. Theo twitched against your cheek as you gripped his shaft, moving along with your mouth. He continued to curse colorfully while you wrapped your lips around him. You felt him tense underneath you, signaling that he was close.
Theo tugged lightly at your scalp. “I don’t want to cum yet,” he said huskily. “Not until I’m inside of you.”
Merlin bless your boyfriend and his filthy fucking mouth. Theo flipped you over, his body pinning you to the mattress as he kissed you roughly. You gasped against his mouth, giving him the perfect opportunity to slide his tongue in. Heat pooled in your core and flooded your body with desire.
“Theo,” you mumbled, tugging at his shirt. “I need you. Now.”
He ripped off his shirt, grinning. “Then have me, darling.”
“I want to be on top.”
You squealed as Theo rolled over, placing you on his lap. He gripped your hips and gently rolled against you. “I’m not about to argue with that.”
With a smirk, you toyed with the hem of your shirt. Theo grabbed your wrist and shook his head. “Keep it on. I want to watch you ride me while wearing my jersey.”
“Have I ever told you how much I love your filthy mouth?”
Theo grinned before latching his lips on your breast. He looked up at you and swirled his tongue around your nipple through the fabric. “It’s not ringing a bell. Shall I try the other side?”
“Gods, yes.”
He gave your other nipple equal attention as you lined his cock up at your entrance. Precum coated his tip, mixing with your own slick as you slowly lowered onto his length. Theo’s teeth sank into your collarbone, muffling his moan.
“Fuck me,” he exhaled in a shaky breath.
“I am, baby.”
Theo chuckled darkly. “Smartass.”
You rolled your hips as he gripped your ass, helping you lift and lower at a faster pace. Theo’s mouth collided with yours, his hands roaming underneath your shirt and exploring every inch of you like he was trying to commit your body to memory.
The intensity of his gaze pierced you with lust and desire. He lifted the hem of his jersey, watching as his cock disappeared between your folds.
“I love watching you take all of me, pretty girl.” Theo was ravenous, littering your neck and shoulder with love bites. “You ride me so fucking well. Maybe it should be you out there on the broom.”
“The only broom I’m interested in is yours,” you quipped back. “Besides, you don’t want everyone else knowing my tricks, do you?”
“Fuck no,” Theo whispered roughly as he switched positions. He pressed you against the mattress, hooking your legs on his shoulder before smirking. “This is for my eyes only. You’re mine, amorina.”
“Yours,” you breathed as he thrust into you. The angle allowed him to slide in even deeper, hitting all the right spots as your eyes rolled to the back of your head.
“That’s my good girl,” Theo declared proudly. “Now fucking take it.”
The pleasure hits you in waves. The sounds that you were both making were absolutely filthy, and you were glad that music was playing in the common room below otherwise the whole of Slytherin house would’ve heard you screaming Theo’s name.
“You getting close, baby?” Theo grunted as you fluttered around him. You whimpered in response, raking your nails along his back. “I’ll take that as a yes. I want you to cum with me. Can you do that, pretty girl?”
You nodded as Theo’s slender fingers rubbed against your clit, pushing you over the edge. You wrapped your legs around his waist and pulled him closer, cursing as the orgasm hit you both.
Theo kissed you, swallowing your moans of pleasure as euphoria washed over you. He rode it out, hips stuttering as he finished. The two of you laid in the dark, bodies twined together while your heartbeats synced.
“Holy fuck,” you said in disbelief.
Theo chuckled. “That did feel a bit sacrilegious.”
He rolled over and grabbed his wand, casting a quick scouring charm over the both of you. Thank Merlin for magic.
You rolled over, propping your chin up with one hand. “You want to smoke a cigarette, don’t you?”
Your boyfriend shook his head. “Actually, I was thinking about quitting.”
Now this was news to you. “Oh? Has all my nagging finally paid off?”
“Maybe,” he said, shrugging. “I’m just thinking ahead. I don’t want our kids picking up the habit.”
Your eyes widened. “Kids? As in, plural?”
Theo nodded emphatically. “Oh yeah, little Theo Jr. and his brother Mattheo don’t need to be exposed to my smoking.”
You cocked your head in confusion. “Theo Jr.? Mattheo?”
“Don’t ask. I lost a bet.”
“You better be taking the piss, Teddy.”
He chuckled. “Mostly. I am quitting smoking and I am looking forward to a future with you, our hypothetical children’s names to be further discussed.”
“You absolute menace of a man,” you said, cuddling him with a wide grin. “I fucking adore you, do you know that?”
“I am stupidly in love with you.”
You giggled as Theo peppered kisses on your face. “Malfoy’s right. We’re truly revolting.”
“Oh, absolutely vile.”
Theo tucked you into the crook of his neck and kissed the top of your head. “I wouldn’t have it any other way,” you mumbled sleepily. “I love you, Teddy.”
He pulled you close and smiled. “I love you too, Y/N.”

YOU’VE only met Xiè Lián a month ago, but he is a humble man, perhaps the most humble man you’ve ever met in your years of living.
And despite only knowing him for such a little amount of time, there’s this huge sense of familiarity whenever you’re together.
He’s so kind, too kind almost, and submissive, but not in a completely bad way. It just seems that he’s too willing to let others walk all over him sometimes.
But you don’t regret befriending him. He’s as sweet as can be and your wonderful savior, his only want when you asked how you can repay him is your e̶t̶e̶r̶n̶a̶l̶ friendship.
You two were lonely souls wondering the earth so it’s natural that you remained at each other’s sides, helping him collect scraps.
While staying with him, you’ve noticed the ferret’s need for physical touch and aggressive play, which you grant because how could you not? You owe him a lot and you’re touch starved yourself.
B̶u̶t̶ ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶t̶i̶m̶e̶s̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶y̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶s̶ ̶a̶ ̶b̶i̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶o̶ ̶a̶g̶g̶r̶e̶s̶s̶i̶v̶e̶,̶ ̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶b̶i̶t̶e̶s̶ ̶d̶r̶a̶w̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶b̶l̶o̶o̶d̶,̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶X̶i̶è̶ ̶L̶i̶á̶n̶ ̶h̶a̶p̶p̶i̶l̶y̶ ̶l̶i̶c̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶i̶t̶ ̶d̶o̶w̶n̶.̶
But it’s okay! That’s just his nature!
There was one time he had to disappear for a moment, stating that it’s just some business to help innocent people from a ghost problem and left you at an inn for the time being.
You missed him,b̶u̶t̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶’̶t̶ ̶d̶e̶n̶y̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶e̶n̶j̶o̶y̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶s̶p̶a̶c̶e̶.̶ ̶
But he soon came back and you two now had a place to live at for once! It’s a shabby shrine, but both of you put your care and hard work to make it a home.
The bed is a simple straw mat on the hard floor but the comfort of each other’s arms and warmth make up for it!
B̶u̶t̶ ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶t̶i̶m̶e̶s̶ ̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶h̶u̶g̶s̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶ ̶b̶i̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶o̶ ̶t̶i̶g̶h̶t̶,̶ ̶t̶o̶o̶ ̶p̶o̶s̶s̶e̶s̶s̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶a̶l̶m̶o̶s̶t̶.̶ ̶
Sleeping together is a joy though!
And things get more interesting when a lone fox joins the mix.
His name is Sān Láng, and Xiè Lián had brought him over one night and offered your collective space to him since he had no place to go.
He’s a charming young man with a mysterious aura, giving answers but becomes a bit elusive when it’s direct questions about him. He’s far more interested in getting to know you and Xiè Lián though, wanting the both of you to lay yourselves bare to him.
But he quickly becomes close to you both, and you become aware that he’s just as clingy as the ferret.
The bed situation is even more cramped, but as long as you were all touching all was fine!
S̶o̶m̶e̶t̶i̶m̶e̶s̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶s̶w̶e̶a̶r̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶’̶r̶e̶ ̶b̶e̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶w̶a̶t̶c̶h̶e̶d̶ ̶w̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶’̶v̶e̶ ̶y̶e̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶f̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶i̶n̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶l̶e̶e̶p̶s̶ ̶e̶m̶b̶r̶a̶c̶e̶,̶ ̶X̶i̶è̶ ̶L̶i̶á̶n̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶S̶ā̶n̶ ̶L̶á̶n̶g̶’̶s̶ ̶b̶r̶e̶a̶t̶h̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶s̶u̶f̶f̶o̶c̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶,̶ ̶i̶m̶p̶r̶i̶n̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶s̶k̶i̶n̶.̶
Sān Láng likes to watch you and Xiè Lián, especially when you’re playing, but he never gets in the mix until he’s invited, and you can see the pure delight in his eyes when asked.
But you almost always end up on your back, overpowered and vulnerable to them both.
L̶i̶k̶e̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶p̶e̶r̶ ̶p̶r̶e̶y̶.̶
But unfortunately, things get weird when Nán Fēng, a dog, and Fú Yáo, a cat, show up at the door.
The way those two grow so pale when they look at you…
And how tight Xiè Lián holds your shoulders…
How Sān Láng’s voice gets unusually more sharper…
There’s more to what’s going on.

Shameless Masterpost
omg hey guys... after all the replies on the last update, i almost cried because i honestly did not expect this kind of reaction at all (what an emotional ass b*tch, i know). i can't believe people are reading this, it's mad to me. honestly. i appreciate you all so much, thank you for showing your support. i love you guys :') <3
here is part 6. i hope you enjoy it, reading your comments made me write this today and i think i'm happy with it. please let me know what you think! <3
LESGOOO!!
Hot tears streamed down your cheeks as you ran back to your quarters; your chest tightening with each strangled breath that you struggled to suck in. Merlin, how could you have been so foolish as to think that Severus Snape, of all people, would ever treat you differently? You really believed he could feel something for you? You had the word 'clown' stamped clearly on your forehead right now.
Even though the current moment was not something you would wish on your worst enemy, it couldn't have happened at a better time. The castle was empty of students - apart from the handful that stayed during the Christmas break - and you were free to run, crying carelessly, without the worry of being seen and ending up looking like some sort of lunatic. In your mind, you were beating yourself up; cursing yourself for reacting so fucking hysterically. Your mind was telling you that you had no reason to be acting like this, it's not like you were in love with the man - you merely had feelings for him. But it was a different story with your heart. In your heart, you felt like your reaction was valid. Your heart was screaming at you, saying you're not stupid for feeling so betrayed and hurt by Snape's sudden change in demeanour. You were right to cry; to feel like you'd just been punched in the gut. Your heart and mind were in a brutal, relentless war with each other, and it was tiring.
Gods, you felt like such an idiot, why did you even bother going down with that plate of damned food? After all of the hurtful comments he made towards you, why did you even still waste your time with him? All of the red flags were on display like a high-street shop window yet you still ignored them. Your altruistic, caring, empathetic little self got you hurt again.
You slowed to a stop, stumbling to a column of stone in front of you, hidden in the shadows. You leant against it, trying to slow your racing mind.
"Y/N?" A soft, worried voice called from behind you, tearing you from your destructive thoughts. You froze. Whoever had just caught you having a little breakdown wasn't who you wanted it to be. Even though he was sending you on a rollercoaster of emotions right now, you still wished it was Severus that had just called your name. As you were leant against the stone column with a strained palm, your head dropped down in a feeble attempt to hide your distraught face. "Hi Hagrid." You sighed softly, voice quiet and timid. Slowly, you lifted your head up, wiping away your tears with rough fingers. You turned around with a weak smile and reddened eyes and saw the half-giant gamekeeper stood still with a twist of confusion and sadness sat on his face. His brows knitted together in sympathy as his eyes fell on your puffy, wet eyes.
"Oh, Y/N, whatever's the matter?" Hagrid asked quietly in his thick Scottish accent, taking a step towards you slowly, as if you were a scared animal.
"I'm not sure I want to say." You said, a pathetic laugh falling from your lips as you grinned stupidly at your ridiculous state. Hagrid's mouth twitched downwards. "It's… complicated."
"You don't have t'explain. Would you like to join me for a cuppa? I was just headin' back," Hagrid said, holding up a dead and limp ferret in his hand, "just finished gettin' some ferrets for Buckbeak. He loves these things he does." He laughed happily, a toothy grin appearing on his face as his eyes twinkled. You couldn't help but smile wider at him. Hagrid always made you feel better, his energy was just so undeniably positive and happy.
"I think I'd like that." You nodded, swallowing down your cries. Hagrid beckoned you towards him with a welcoming arm. You gladly accepted and stepped towards him, a few fresh tears leaving your eyes.
"Where's that 'appy little Hufflepuff we all know n' love?" The gamekeeper placed a comforting arm around your shoulders, giving you a squeeze as you laughed. "There she is!" He beamed as the two of you began to walk in the direction of the forest.
"Do you think Buckbeak will remember me, Hagrid?" You asked curiously, sniffling as you stared at the gravelly ground the pair of you were strolling on.
"Oh, I'm sure 'e will, you know, you were one of 'is favourites back when you were studying here at Hogwarts." Hagrid assured you with a hearty chuckle. You glanced up at him, surprised.
"One of his favourites? Are you sure?" You frowned, a doubtful and brief laugh falling from your lips.
"I'm almost cert'n, actually." Hagrid smiled down at you. "He'll cheer you up, that's f'sure. Better than I can!" He added, prompting you to shake your head at him. For a clever man, Hagrid is quite painfully oblivious sometimes.
"Don't be silly, Hagrid, you always put a smile on everyone's face." You protested his words quite sternly. Hagrid's bushy brows raised slightly in surprise at your tone.
"I appreciate that, Y/N, really, I do. Sometimes I can't help but feel a little useless 'ere sometimes. I mean, all o' ya are professors of import'nt subjects," He explained, glancing down at you for a moment. Again, you were already shaking your head at him. "I take care o' the creatures 'nd the grounds o'course, but there's times where I feel like I can do so much more. I mean, Care o' Magical Creatures ain't really a life skill tha' people need." Hagrid shrugged lightly as the two of you neared the pathway into the forest that was rather dim looking due to it being mid-Winter. The chilly breeze began to bite at your cheeks, painting them rosy.
"Perhaps not for most students, but it is for students that have dreams of opening up a… zoo of some sort, or maybe they're a budding Magizoologist! There are so many options, I just don't think you realise." You said, stopping in your tracks to let Hagrid go first. You followed him once he was in front of you.
"I s'ppose." Hagrid nodded as you watched his frizzy, long and bush-like hair bouncing on his upper back. There was several seconds of silence before you decided to bite the bullet and ask about the man who'd caused you grief earlier this afternoon.
"Do you talk to Snape much?" You asked, wincing as you spoke his name. Your heart betrayed you as it began to speed up in pace, anxiously awaiting Hagrid's answer.
"Not particularly," Hagrid replied as the two of you continued walking through the forest. The sun had started to set, casting a growing shadow over the woody scenery before you. "'e's not the friendliest o' people." He added with a dry chuckle.
"Yeah." Was all you said before Hagrid stopped and turned around, almost making you stumble into him.
"Did 'e say somethin' 'orrible to ya?" Hagrid asked sternly, genuinely concerned. His Scottish accent had become thicker out of anger.
"No! No, I was just… curious." You replied, your eyes twitching as you glanced between Hagrid's worrisome eyes and the soil beneath the soles of your shoes. Hagrid stood still for a moment, his eyes scrutinising you. It felt horribly similar to someone else.
"Okay. Well, if he does. You tell me, alright?" The gamekeeper said sternly once more, tone very serious, yet it had a twinge of concern wrapped up within it. You swallowed the growing lump in your throat, and nodded quickly. "Alright, good."
"Thanks, Hagrid." You said quietly, almost on the verge of tears again. Your mind was instantly reeling back to the moment Snape had told you to leave, mere seconds after dancing with you. Gods, what the hell did you do to make him change so… rapidly? He was smiling and laughing!
A few more steps and you'd found Buckbeak who was happily laid down beside a tree, leaning against the humungous trunk with tired eyes. "There ya'are, Buckbeak, we been lookin' for ya all over!" Hagrid beamed, that happy smile back on his face. A smile picked at your lips as you watched him walk over to his beloved pet, dangling a ferret out of his hand. Buckbeak almost immediately stood up at the sight of either Hagrid or the ferret - you had money on the ferret, no disrespect to Hagrid. He chirped and bounced over to Hagrid before halting to bow. Hagrid returned the gesture and proceeded to throw the dead ferret in the air. Buckbeak gracefully leaped up, flapping his gargantuan wings and caught the treat with a echoey clop from his beak, a cloud of dust emitting from his ill-assorted feet as they hit the ground with a muted thud. "Sucha' good boy."
You'd forgotten how magnificent Buckbeak truly was. "He's still so beautiful." You commented, stepping towards the creature cautiously. Hagrid turned to look at you with a bright, gappy-toothed grin.
"He is." Hagrid agreed proudly, turning back to admire Buckbeak. It warmed your heart, almost making you forget about the whole ordeal earlier on. "Want ta say 'ello?"
"Always," You smiled, stepping to stand beside Hagrid. You bowed to Buckbeak who was currently staring at you with beady, curious eyes, pawing at the ground with his talons absentmindedly. "Hi Buckbeak, remember me?" You said slowly, staying where you were stood, a little worried of his reaction. Hagrid frowned down at you and gave you a shove towards the beast, in which Buckbeak flared his wings suddenly out of fright. You gasped.
"S'alright, he won't 'urt ya." Hagrid soothed. You swallowed and stepped closer to the creature and held out your hand. "It's Y/N, Y/N L/N, boy, d'ya remember 'er?" He asked giddily. Buckbeak squawked, his head twitching in every direction as he stared at you. He froze for a moment before chirping happily and bounding over to you.
"Hey, boy!" You giggled as Buckbeak pressed his cold, smooth beak against your cheek, chirping once more as he recognised you. "It's been a long time, I know, I'm sorry." Another ticklish giggle escaped your lips as he lowered his head to nudge your hand, encouraging you to pet him. You did so, raising your hand to tickle his neck. You watched as your fingers disappeared beneath his thick coat of silver-grey feathers, giving him a scratch just below his ear.
"Told ya 'e had a soft spot f'ya." Hagrid said knowingly, swaying back and forth on his heels. "Want ta' feed 'im?" He asked, holding out a ferret. You glanced at Hagrid and nodded eagerly, holding out your hands. He chucked it to you and you reached up your hands to grab it, taking a step back from Buckbeak.
"Are you a good boy, Buckbeak?" You hummed happily, waving the limp ferret at him. He squawked softly at you, as if to say 'Give me the damn ferret! Stop waving it in my face!'. A grin broke out on your face and you threw the small carcass lightly in the air, watching in awe as Buckbeak leaped up to catch it once more.
Once night had fallen, Hagrid and you headed back to his hut for a drink of wine, since you both agreed it was too late for tea. The two of you were now sat merrily around his rickety, circular wooden dining table, a glass of sweet Elven wine in your hands. Loud, careless laughter erupted from your lips as Hagrid told you a story of how he caught Benjamin Bluewater - surprise, surprise - in the act of planting a magical fart bomb on Professor McGonagall's chair in her classroom.
"I tell ya', Y/N, tha' boy was a menace!" Hagrid boomed with raucous laughter, leaning back in his chair. You joined him, wiping a stray tear from your eye as your laughter died down. "Ain't never seen 'im look so terrified in all 'is life when I found 'im."
"Y'know," You slurred, smacking your lips together as you tried to wet them. "He also pranked Snape in, err, fourth year I think." You snickered, clenching your jaw slightly as your chest tightened at the mention of his name. You might have been drunk, but it still hurt to think about him. "Bluewater seemed to favour the foul-smelling pranks."
"Yeah," Hagrid sighed, staring out of the window in a drunken, hazy state. He waited a moment before turning back to you, taking another sip of his wine, tutting. "Who was yer favourite teacher then?"
"McGonagall, definitely," You answered quickly, a brief, drunk giggle escaping your lips. Hagrid smiled at you; happy you were feeling a little better. "I'd always got along well with her, and I still do now."
"Minerva's'a sweet soul." Hagrid nodded, his eyes growing lazy as the wine was beginning to take effect.
"Yes, she's… lovely." You agreed, drawling slightly, noticing Hagrid's tired state as you looked at him. "I… think I'm going to… make a move, Hagrid." You announced, sipping your wine again. Hagrid was swaying in his seat currently, absolutely hammered. You snorted loudly at him, catching his attention as his head snapped towards you.
"Wha'?" He slurred, giggling like a child.
"Nothin', nothing," You grinned to yourself, standing up with the glass of wine in your hand, swaying slightly. You quickly downed the rest of it and placed it sloppily on the wooden table, wincing a little as it almost broke. "Thanks for this evening Hagrid, it was bloody brilliant. And the wine," you said, grabbing the wine glass again, holding it up heavy-handedly, "the wine was bloody brilliant too." You giggled again, losing your composure as you looked to the gamekeeper who was now blinking each eye manually. You placed the glass down on the table, your hand coming up to cover your mouth. "Oh my gods, Hagrid, please, get to bed."
"No, am fine! I'll see yee' out," He squeezed his eyes shut and stood up from the table, stumbling through his hut to reach the front door, wine glass still in hand. You had to hold back a snicker as he almost tripped over Fang.
Hagrid held out his arms rather widely, eyes shut and a big dopey smile on his face. You gave him a big hug and stepped back, patting his arm. "Thanks again, Hagrid, see ya tomorrow." You grinned drunkenly at him, stumbling through his door and down the steps. You gasped slightly as your foot hit the soft, uneven grass. The sound of Hagrid shutting his door with a loud, accidental slam startled you slightly as you jumped, quickly turning around to spot Hagrid waving out his window at you. He looked like one of those oriental waving-cat statues you'd find in Muggle store windows. You laughed again and waved, beginning to walk back to the castle carefully, albeit rather drunkenly.
You were alone with your thoughts again as you walked up the grassy hills, the cold and chilly air beginning to freeze you. As you started to chill, you increased your pace slightly, breaking into a jog. The ground beneath you began to spin.
Gods, you were fucking wasted. That damned elven wine.
"Oh, shit," You choked out as you tripped up the stone steps, landing on your hands and knees. You winced slightly at the sharp pain shooting through your limbs, and slowly got up, a loud and tired sigh leaving your lungs. "Shit."
"Professor L/N?" A familiar, irritating voice came from your right as you entered the castle, the comforting warmth engulfing your body.
Fuck me, really?
"Lockhart." You smiled awkwardly at him, trying to stand up straight and act… as sober as possible.
"What in Merlin's name are you doing awake at this time?" He asked suspiciously, eyeing your swaying body.
"Err," You swallowed, your mind racing. "I went for a walk." You said, hoping he couldn't hear how drunk you were.
"At…" he glanced at his pocket watch, "One thirty in the morning?" Lockhart frowned, his ginger-blonde brows furrowing together. You stared at him back with wide eyes, saying nothing.
"Yep. Couldn't sleep!" Was all you said before you quickly took off in the direction of your quarters. Your bed was screaming your name right now and you were eager to answer it's calls. You left Lockhart stood there, utterly confused. You couldn't care less though. As you were rushing off, you realised you hadn't asked him why he was up so late. Bastard, you thought as you speedily walked to your room, deep in your own thoughts.
As you turned a corner, you walked straight into a hard wall of cloth. You winced and fell backwards from the speed you'd bumped into it.
"Ow," you mumbled, rubbing your forehead, "what…?" You opened your eyes to a shroud of black, your heart dropping immediately.
"You should watch where you're going, Professor L/N." Snape's cold voice said, making your stomach do anxious backflips. He has the goddamn nerve…
"Seriously?" You gawked at the Potions Master, that same old feeling of rage boiling in your chest again as you messily stood up, straightening out your robes. "After what happened-" You hiccupped, earning a confused frown from Snape. "-happened earlier, you're going to act like you don't… even know me?" You questioned him angrily, pointing a finger in his face. The alcohol-infused confidence and boldness was in full effect right now.
"I've no idea what you're talking about, Professor L/N." Snape scowled at you, glaring at the finger that was pointed straight at him.
"God, you're such an arse!" You cried out with bitterness, a fresh surge of frustration rushing through you as your hands ran through your hair. Once more, he'd made you cry. Tears were welling in your eyes as you inhaled softly, trying to collect yourself. "How could I even…" You stopped yourself, your lungs burning as you sobbed quietly. "Why did you tell me to leave earlier?" You demanded, inhaling deeply, standing back as you swayed on your feet; eyes glossy.
"You should retire to bed, Professor L/N, you wouldn't want any of your students to witness you in this… embarrassing state." Snape sneered at you. He knew you were drunk. Your lips parted in slight shock as you stared up at him in utter disbelief. Gods, you wanted to curse him so fucking bad right now; the feeling was so overwhelmingly strong that you felt yourself reaching for your wand.
"I wouldn't do that, if I were you." Snape warned.
"Do what?…" You repeated quietly, slurring, fire in your eyes. This only enraged Snape further, pushing him to place a hand on your shoulder and shove you backwards against the stone wall behind you. A strained grunt left your lips as your back collided rather harshly with it. Tears brimmed your eyes.
"Don't. Do. It." He hissed, his face mere centimetres away from yours.
And here you were again. Angry. Inches away from each other. Backed up against a wall. His intoxicating scent making you breathless.
You clenched your jaw harshly, tilting your chin up in defiance, refusing to break eye contact as Snape glared harrowingly into your teary eyes. If he was being honest, your lips looked insanely kissable right now, and the tension between you two was driving him fucking insane. Your lip twitched as you continued to stare him down, silently challenging him. Snape could smell the alcohol on your breath and it maddened him.
Why were you coming back to the castle so late at night, drunk out of your goddamn mind? Have you no fucking brain at all?
You sent his mind into a complete mess. Before he got to know you, he was fine, he felt nothing - the word 'feelings' was not in his vocabulary. He didn't hold his breath each time you met his eyes with your curious ones, he didn't feel his heart skip a beat each time you smiled prettily at him and most of all, he didn't feel like dying each time he saw you talking to someone other than him - not that he made it easy for you. He knew he was wrong for feeling that way, and he knew perfectly well that he couldn't have you. But, Merlin, did he want you. He despised - bordering on hate - how easily you broke down his defences and the walls he'd spent years upon years building, protecting himself from the past. Now, he had to push you away to protect you and to save himself the pain. Was it selfish? Absolutely. But was it also selfless? He wasn't so sure.
"Why do you treat me like this, Severus?" You whispered, your brows furrowing a tad as you slumped against the wall drunkenly; the sadness in your voice playing with Snape's cold heart. He absolutely loathed the way you said his name. Each time it fell from your lips, his knees felt like buckling.
Snape said nothing in reply to you.
"Answer me!" You cried, your hands grabbing onto his cloak helplessly as the corners of your mouth tugged downwards; your breath shaky and shallow.
"I treat you the same as anybody else." He said calmly.
"Oh yeah, do you fuckin' dance with Dumbledore in his office, then kick him out without a reason?" You said angrily, slurring your words slightly. Alcohol had loosened your lips.
"Keep your voice down, L/N." Snape warned, his hand tightening around your arm. You swallowed.
"Why? Scared someone will hear us?" You seethed with a blurring vision, ignoring his warning, placing your palms against his chest in a weak attempt to push him backwards and away from you. It felt like pushing against a gigantic boulder. He was incredibly strong. Snape pulled you from the wall and down a darkened corridor, throwing you against another wall. You caught yourself with your hands, your palms splayed out in front of you. You quickly turned around so your back was against the wall. Snape stormed towards you, making your heart pound in your ears.
"Why can't you follow simple instructions?" He returned your vicious attitude, glaring ruthlessly. Your whole body shivered under his gaze.
"Why can't you just be nice to me?!" You exclaimed, growing tired as the tears began to pour from your eyes. Your feelings were becoming uncontrollable and the booze you'd consumed was not helping. "What have I done to you?"
Snape was growing angrier and angrier by the second with you. He couldn't handle much more.
"What more do you want from me, Y/N?!" He hissed at you, his voice strained and almost pained.
Silence swallowed the both of you, your lips quivering as you stared up at him with tear-stained cheeks. Snape's chest tightened with what felt like guilt as he looked at you with uncaring eyes. It felt like an eternity had passed as the two of you stood in the dimly-lit corridor, staring at each other, silent as a mouse.
"I…" You croaked, shutting your mouth almost immediately, pursing your lips. The wine was coursing through you freely now, silently encouraging you to make bad decisions. It was egging you on, whispering into your vulnerable ears like a devil sat on your shoulder. You let your eyes drop to Snape's mouth, resisting the relentless and burning urge to just lean forward and kiss him. In fact, you felt like it was suffocating you. The tension between you two was uncomfortably rife and you were dying to soothe it.
You looked back up into his eyes, you chest rising and falling heavily as you inched your head forwards. Your eyes dropped back down to his lips again. Snape's breath hitched as he watched you tip your head toward him. You were about to close the gap between you two when his sharp voice cut through the blanket of silence.
"You're drunk, Y/N." Severus whispered. Instantly, you reeled back, your eyes snapping up to his. You could almost swear you saw a flash of sadness within them. "Go." Shit, you should not have done that.
"Snape, I…" You whispered back, an overwhelming feeling of regret sinking into your bones.
"Go." He said sternly, stepping away, putting distance in between the two of you. Gods, you really fucked up. Fuck, what the hell were you thinking? Trying to kiss him after what happened earlier? You were absolutely wasted.
Instantly, you slipped away from him, hurriedly walking in the direction of your quarters. You wanted to run away so fucking bad right now, hide in a hole, bury your face and never come out. Tears burned your eyes again and your throat tightened. The embarrassment you felt right now was eating you alive like a parasite.

Do you remember the scene in the fourth book, where Draco is turned in to a ferret? Could you write something where the reader finds Draco, unaware that it's him and takes him to her dorm and he has to stay for the night? Like reader and Draco usually don't get along (maybe Gryffindor reader) but she talks with Hermione about him and everything. And when the reader wakes up the next morning it's not a ferret but Draco lying next to her and she gets super embarrassed? Would be great if you have an idea on how to write it.
Thanks for your request! I really hope that this makes some sense since I struggled with writing it in a way that it all sounds logical. Hope you like this anyway!
The ferret
“It is my very great pleasure to inform you that the Triwizard Tournament will be taking place at Hogwarts this year.”
Dumbledore´s words still echoed in your head. This had been the most amazing message in a very long time. You knew that this year would be amazing. Instead of hunting down giant snakes or supposed serial killers together with Harry, this year you would be able to lean back and watch someone else experience all the adventures. You on the other hand would watch the bustle from a safe distance. There was nothing that could go wrong this year, was there?
You walked along the long corridors with Hermione, Ron and Harry, chatting about the most obvious topic after that announcement.
“It´s unfair that no one under the age of seventeen is allowed to participate. I mean it´s not my fault I was born too late.”, Ron grumbled.
“There´s a reason for this rule Ron.”, Hermione explained for the tenth time. “It´s too dangerous. We aren´t educated enough to participate at the tournament. I´m sure that the challenges will be very demanding.”
“And besides.”, you added, “I don’t think we would stand a chance against the older ones. I heard Diggory and Warrington want to participate. They would have some lead anyway.” Yeah, but imagine all the money… You could do so much with it….”, Ron´s voice sounded dreamy.
“Maybe your family could finally afford things that aren’t used already, Weaselbee.”, you heard a voice sneering behind you.
You rolled your eyes. Draco Malfoy somehow always managed to appear in the most adverse moments.
“Just ignore him.”, you mumbled, as you felt Ron tense next to you.
“Oh yeah, Weaselbee, listen to her. You´re probably too stupid to think for yourself. Lies within the family as my father has told me.”
Now, Hermione and you needed to grab Ron and Harry by their shoulders so they wouldn´t turn around right away and hex Malfoy in the middle of the hallway. Not that you would have resented. But Malfoy wasn’t worth a second of detention. And luckily Hermione thought the same.
“No one can tell me Malfoy wouldn’t take the chance to participate if he would have one.”, Hermione muttered.
“Obviously. Just another chance to give himself airs.”, you agreed with your friend. “Could you imagine Malfoy as our champion?”, Harry asked. “He wouldn’t even last ten seconds.”
“Dad told me some students had died in the tournament. Wouldn’t be a shame if this would happen to Malfoy though.” Ron´s face was still red, but he smiled at his cruel thoughts. “All the things that could happen to him…”
“He probably wouldn’t even dare to compete in the end.”, Hermione said.
“Or would give up as soon as he breaks off a fingernail.”, Harry laughed.
“His father would definitely hear about this.”, you chuckled, making all of you laugh.
Even though you would never admit it, you kinda missed the blond Slytherin boy over the summer holidays. Without his sneered remarks, life was way more boring. But all in all, you corrected yourself, you hadn’t missed Malfoy himself, but more the way you and your friends made fun of him. There was no other reason for you to miss him. Because you had never really liked that boy. And there was nothing that could change that.
It was your first actual day back at Hogwarts. Today, the classes had started again. Even though you had missed many things about school, homework wasn’t one of them. And after only one day, you had already loads of them. That´s why you were at dinner early, before returning to the library, to finish some of your assignments. You didn’t want to fall behind already. But not even two hours later, you felt your eyes getting heavy. With a sigh, you closed the book before you and put it back on the shelf. You saw Hermione a few desks away, delving into a book. You didn’t dare to talk to her, since you knew how much she hated it when you disturbed her while she was studying. Also, all you wanted to do by now, was get back to your dorm and in your bed.
As you walked through the already empty corridors, you suddenly heard some whimpering. You stopped and turned your head in different directions, trying to locate the noise. That´s when you saw it. A tiny white ferret crouched in one of the corners, cheeping pathetically. Carefully you took a few steps toward the pet. It was shaking frantically and its fur looked scrubby.
“Oh, you poor thing, what happened to you?”, you spoke up.
You had always had a soft spot for animals and to see that little thing that looked so beat up, made your heart clench. When the ferret saw you coming, it only crawled more into the corner, too exhausted to actually run away.
When you kneeled in front of it, the whimpering got only louder and the shivering more intense. It was obviously scared, but as far as you could see, it wasn’t hurt.
“What am I supposed to do with you?”, you asked the ferret, even though you didn’t expect an answer.
Slowly, you extended one arm and then with a quick movement you grabbed the ferret, picking it up. It squirmed, trying to escape your grip, but you were skilled in those things. Since you could remember you had always brought hurt animals home, driving first your parents and later your roommates crazy. But you didn’t care about their opinion and always fed the animals up, before releasing them into the wild again. After a few minutes, the ferret seemed to calm down, not trying to escape anymore.
“Are you hungry? We could take a look into the kitchen and ask if they got anything left. What do you think? And tomorrow we will take you to Hagrid. He will know what to do with you.”
With that, you changed your original plan to go directly to your dorm but headed towards the kitchen first.
You sat on your bed in your dorm, eying the ferret worried. The house-elves in the kitchen had given you some raw meat and water for your newest nursing case. But the ferret hadn’t touched the food yet. It had drunk the water as if it was dying of thirst, but its fur had bristled when you had tried to feed it with the raw meat. Instead, it seemed to be very interested in the chocolate on your nightstand. But this obviously wasn’t the best choice for a wild animal, so you refused to give some of it to it.
You were just trying to convince the ferret once more to try some of the raw liver, when Hermione entered the dorm. As she saw the animal on your lap, she scrunched her face.
“Once more (Y/n)?”
“I found it in the castle. Completely lost. But now it doesn’t want to eat.”
You looked at Hermione scared.
“Maybe its sick?”, your friend suggested.
She stepped closer to look at the ferret, but as she did so, it quickly got up, trying to get away from her. Luckily, you caught it, before it could disappear.
“I´ll get it to Hagrid tomorrow. He´ll know what to do.”
Hermione raised an eyebrow.
“Hagrid? He´s probably gonna feed it to some of his creatures.”
As if the ferret knew what she was saying, it squeaked indignantly. You put the meat aside and carefully caressed the fur of the ferret.
“Don’t worry, I´ll make sure he won´t. I just want to ask him if he has any idea what´s wrong with it. And when it´s fit again, I´m going to release it far away from Hagrid´s creatures and all the owls flying around here.” You glanced to Hermione´s bed, where Crookshanks was lying, eyes fixed on the small thing on your lap and licking its muzzle. “And cats.”, you added.
“Do you think it’s a pet?”, Hermione asked. “Maybe it belongs to one of the students. I mean it looks different from the ones roaming around outside of the castle. Just look at its fur. It´s so light, almost as if someone bleached it.”
You shrugged your shoulders.
“Maybe I should ask around tomorrow. But are ferrets allowed as pets?”
Now it was on Hermione to shrug her shoulders.
“I don’t think so. But I also don’t remember that it´s forbidden.”
“I´ll take care of it tomorrow.”, you yawned. “At first I need some sleep.”
You looked at the ferret.
“You too, don’t you?”
Once again, it seemed as if the ferret understood what you were saying since it got up from your lap and tripled over your bed, straight to your pillow and curled up right in the middle of it. You laughed.
“I´ll take this as a yes.”
After you had gone to the bathroom, you grabbed your pyjamas, starting to change your clothes. You couldn’t help but feel as if the ferret that was still curled up on your pillow watched each of your movements closely, probably only waiting for you to open a door or a window, giving it a chance to escape.
Hermione, who was already laying in bed, put her book aside.
“By the way, have you heard what happened in the Great Hall at dinner?”
You shook your head. When you had been there, most of the students hadn’t arrived yet and after dinner, you had only been in the library and the kitchen.
“Padma Patil had just told me. I met her on my way back here. Apparently, Professor Moody had hexed Malfoy.”
Hermione chuckled and you stared at her in disbelieve.
“He did what?”
“Hexed Malfoy. Padma hasn’t seen what had happened, but Parvati had told her. Apparently, Malfoy had disputed with Ron and Harry. And when Harry turned his back, Malfoy wanted to hex him. But Professor Moody was faster.”
You laughed.
“What did he do?”
“Transfigured him into a rat, Padma told me. But she wasn’t sure about that. Parvati had only seen him running down the hallway afterwards.”
“And did he turn him back?”
Hermione shrugged her shoulders.
“I think so. Professor McGonagall was there too. She was certainly furious. Don’t think she appreciated this. But even if he didn’t, transfigurations of humans only last for a few hours.”
“Poor Moody, It takes some time until Professor McGonagall loses it, but if she does, I don’t want to be near. He´s lucky if he doesn’t get hexed himself.”, you chuckled.
“And she´s right. Transfiguration shouldn’t be used as a punishment.”
You raised an eyebrow.
“Even if it´s Malfoy?”
“Even if it´s Malfoy.”, Hermione confirmed.
But then she chuckled.
“But I would have loved to see this nevertheless.”, she grinned.
You laughed.
“Me too. We have to ask Harry and Ron about it tomorrow immediately. I need a detailed report.”
“Do you think Malfoy will let this matter rest?”, Hermione said, now a little bit more serious.
You shrugged your shoulders.
“What does he want to do? And besides, he´s probably way too scared of Moody. Kind of understandable, I guess.”
“Probably his father will hear about it.”, Hermione chuckled, making you grin.
You let yourself fall onto your bed and tried to shove the ferret on your pillow to the side, but it squeaked in protest, trying to defend its cosy position. You sighted.
“You are just like Malfoy, you know that? You could be kinda cute if you wouldn’t be so annoying. Also, now that I think about it, your hair looks very similar.”
“I´m sure I misheard this (Y/n). Did you just call Malfoy cute?”, Hermione said in a mocking voice.
You felt your cheeks redden. You hadn’t thought about what you had just said. Not that you actually thought Malfoy was cute. You didn’t like him. At all. But you also had to admit that besides his many bad qualities, he also had some good ones. Not only he was good-looking and an amazing Quidditch player, he was also very smart -his grades could nearly keep up with Hermione´s- and of it wouldn’t be against you, your friends and your house, his humour could actually be funny.
“I said he could be cute.”, you corrected your friend, as you snuggled yourself under the warm blanket. “If he wouldn’t be such a pain in the ass.”
Hermione rolled her eyes.
“Yeah, but he´s one all the time. And besides, tell me one good thing about him.”
“I don’t know. He´s clever, he´s a great seeker, he´s always good for a laugh- even if it´s unintentionally most of the time-, he´s got beautiful eyes…” You stopped when you saw Hermione´s gaze. “And he´s originated from a family full of people who would judge me for being friends with you and not thinking I´m something better since I´m a pureblood.”
The last sentence you said in a stilted voice, making Hermione laugh.
“I was actually worried about you for a moment (Y/n). I would have taken you for the last person to defend Malfoy.”
“I didn’t defend him. I just made some objective observations. I mean even you can’t deny that he´s grown attractive over the holidays, don’t you?”
“You don’t expect me to answer this, do you?”, Hermione asked.
“Relax, I´m just joking.”, you calmed your friend down. “And no matter how good-looking or smart he might be, that doesn’t matter if he stays the idiot he is.”
But as you turned off the lights and lay there in the silence, you came to the conclusion that even if you had said those things to annoy Hermione, they weren’t completely untrue. Draco Malfoy was for sure handsome and you had to admit that you might be missing something in your life without his constant teasing. But as long as he stayed the spoiled brat he was, your feelings towards the Slytherin boy wouldn’t change a bit.
That´s what you thought as you drifted off into sleep. And as you did so, you felt the tiny ferret next to you carefully cuddling itself into the crook of your neck.
Your alarm woke you up rudely the next morning. With a switch of your wand, you quickly turned off the annoying noise. You heard Hermione growling in the bed next to your quietly. The first days after the holidays were always the worst. You didn’t dare to open your eyes yet, trying to prevent your sweet dreams from slipping away completely. You felt the source of warmth next to you and turned around to nuzzle your face into it. You inhaled the comforting smell of expensive cologne and pines and listened to the steady heartbeat, just as calm as yours. You felt an arm wrapping around you and sighted in comfort. You could have lied here like this forever. You felt as if you were protected from all the harm out there. As if everything was just fine, even if it was just for this moment. You couldn’t remember a morning neither in school nor at home, where you had felt that good. And the reason for this feeling was the person right next to you, who now pulled you even closer, so your head could lay on their chest. Why hadn’t you felt like this earlier?
Because normally, no one was lying next to you. Within seconds you sat up, now fully awake. The room was still dark, but you could clearly see the contours of someone lying next to you. In your bed. Someone who hadn’t been there when you had fallen asleep. You screamed loudly, grabbing the blanket to cover yourself, crawling to the end of the bed, to get as much distance between the person and you. Rising up, as they heard your scream, the person screamed as well in a high-pitched voice, trying to grab the blanket as well, but you were still clinging on to it.
“What the hell is going on here?”, you heard the sleepy voice of Hermione.
With a switch of her wand, she opened the curtains, making the sunlight fall into your room.
You stared at the person on your bed in disbelief.
“Malfoy? What? How? Why? What are you doing here? How did you come in?”, you stuttered, as you recovered from the shock.
“Asks the person who brought me here.”, Malfoy muttered, his cheeks were red, but probably nothing compared to how much your face had heated up.
“What? How could I… No, why should I bring you here? Are you kidding me?”, you asked, feeling the anger boiling up in you.
Was that some kind of cruel joke? How dared he sneak to your dorm and into your bed and blame you for it?
“If you would stop being such a do-gooder, you may not drag innocent people into your dorm, who had been cursed and aren’t able to defend themselves.”, he snapped back.
“What?”
“The ferret.”, you heard Hermione´s voice from the other side of the room.
You stared at her in disbelief.
“The ferret?”
“Remember? Professor Moody had hexed Malfoy. It wasn’t a rat. It was a ferret.”
“Sometimes even you have some bright moments, Granger.”, Malfoy sneered.
“Wait, wait, wait, let me get this straight.”, you said, before Hermione could reply something unfriendly. “You were the ferret I found yesterday in the corridor?”
Malfoy nodded.
“Why didn’t you say something?”
Malfoy rolled his eyes.
“Well, you aren’t that bright, are you (Y/l/n)? How could I? I´ve been a ferret.”
“But you could have done something. Anything. To make us notice. By Merlin´s beard. You slept in my bed. You heard how Hermione and I talked about… Oh good lord, I even changed in front of you.”
You hid your face in your hands in embarrassment. Malfoy grinned cockily.
“Not that I would have minded.”
“I think that´s my cue. I´ll get ready somewhere else. See you at breakfast.”, Hermione said, before grabbing her things and opening the door.
“Wait. How do we get him out of here?”, you held her back.
But Hermione just shrugged her shoulders.
“Down the stairs and through the common room.” “How are we going to explain that?”
“I won´t have to, you brought him here, you will get him out.”, Hermione grinned, obviously enjoying your desperation.
“Mione.”, you whined.
“I´ll think of something (Y/n) how I´ll get the other out of here. But first I´ll get ready and unlike you, I don’t want Malfoy watching me.”
She quickly closed the door behind her and the pillow you had thrown into her direction only hit the wood.
“Great friends you have.”, Draco rumbled.
“Says the boy, who was not in his dorm for an entire night and no one noticed.”, you countered. “Now just get out of here, this is more than embarrassing.”
But Draco just grinned at you and laid back again.
“What part exactly love? That you slept in the same bed with me? Or that I saw you in your -by the way really adorable- underwear? Or that I heard every single thing Granger and you talked about the last evening?” With each of his words, you felt your face redden more and more until you feared you might burst into flames right away. You grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around your body, crossing your arms in front of your chest.
“You were neither supposed to hear nor see any of these things. If someone should be embarrassed, then it´s you.”
But Malfoy looked at you unimpressed.
“I´m the victim. I was hexed by a professor and then kidnapped by you.”
You laughed in disbelief.
“Kidnapped? I wanted to help you. Well, not you, the ferret. I mean, you are… You were the ferret. But I didn’t know…”
“But you also can´t blame me though, can you?”
You clenched your jaw. He was right. You couldn’t.
“Well, if it was so horrible here, you might as well leave now.”, you snapped.
Slowly Draco sat up and looked at you. His gaze grew more intense and made shivers run down your spine. Unintentionally, you wrapped the blanket tighter around your body.
“I never said it was horrible though. Well, except the food.”
He scrunched his nose. You let out a small giggle at the thought that you actually wanted to feed the spoiled Draco Malfoy with the residues from the kitchen. Malfoy looked at you pleasantly surprised as he heard your laugh.
“Well, sorry about that.”, you chuckled.
“I´m sure if I would have been an actual ferret, I would have enjoyed it though.”, he said, making you laugh once more.
“See? Sometimes I can even make you laugh intentionally.” As you remembered the conversation with Hermione the last day, you felt your face heating up again.
“Right, about that… Just don’t pride yourself on that, okay Malfoy?”, you said, avoiding his gaze.
“Don’t worry, I´ll just forget it if that´s what you want.”
You looked at him in surprise. You had expected that he would hold every word you had said against you. The positive things as well as the negative ones.
“Okay. Well, thanks, I guess.”
“It´s fine. I mean you are right. I wasn’t meant to hear this, so I shouldn’t nail you down for what you have said.”
You nodded thankfully.
“But can I ask you one thing about it?”, Malfoy asked, his voice sounding serious.
You sighted.
“Sure.”
“You said you might think I´m cute if I wouldn’t be…”
“If you wouldn’t be you?”
“If I wouldn’t be such an idiot sometimes.” You nodded.
“Did you mean this?”
You hesitated. Have you meant it? You remembered the feeling when you had woken up next to him. You hadn’t known it was him, still, you had had the feeling as if you could trust him. As if you had been safe. You slowly nodded.
“I think so.”
“So if I might…”, Malfoy stopped and scratched his neck. “If I would try to avoid some topics in the future, do you think… Well, that the two of us might be able to… get along sometime?”
You looked at him in surprise, but for Malfoy, the patterns duvet cover seemed to be very interesting now.
“It´s not just about the comments, you know? It´s about the fact that you believe in the things you say.”
Malfoy nodded.
“And if I… if I would try to change that too?”
“You know it´s not that easy, don’t you?”
“Yes, but I think it might be worth a try.”
He glanced up at you, throwing you a shy smile, that for some reason, made your heartbeat speed up. You couldn’t help but return your smile.
“I think so too.”
Malfoy sighted in relief.
“I promise I will try.” But then his cocky smile returned to his face. “But honestly, you would miss it if I wouldn’t tease you anymore, wouldn’t you?”
You laughed.
“But I wouldn’t mind if you wouldn’t insult my friends, family and house every time you do so.”
Malfoy looked slightly embarrassed.
“Well, I might try. But I won’t promise anything.”
“Neither will I.”
Your gaze caught his and you felt some goosebumps on your skin as he smiled sweetly at you. But then another thought crossed your mind.
“Why that change of heart though?”
Malfoy shrugged his shoulders.
“You look cute when you sleep, I guess.”, he said.
You weren’t sure if he was honest or joking. Probably both.
“You know that sounded creepy, don’t you?”, you laughed.
“Sorry.”, the boy chuckled. “But it´s true though.”
You weren’t quite sure how to answer. Then your gaze fell on the clock.
“Shit.”, you cursed. “Already that late?”
You got up, grabbing some fresh clothes.
“You really need to leave. Don’t want to be late on my second day.”
“Shouldn’t I wait for you?”, Malfoy asked, but you shook your head.
“I need to get ready first.”
“Wouldn’t mind watching. It´s not like I´ve never done before”, the boy said teasingly.
“Out. Now!”, you laughed.
Malfoy got up and went to the door.
“See you around (Y/n).”, he smiled.
“See you around.”, you said, before you added: “You need to go left and then down the stairs and through the common room.”
Draco nodded and threw you a last smile, before he left the room.
You had just gathered all of your things when you realized, you had forgotten to tell him something important.
Quickly, you left the room.
“Draco?”, you called.
But then you heard a loud bang and a string of curse words, you didn’t even know.
“Would it have hurt you to tell me that those stairs turn into a fucking slide, (Y/l/n)?”, he yelled from downstairs.
“Are you hurt?”, you asked worried.
“Only my pride.”, he grumbled as he got up again, in a not-so-elegant way.
“Normally that´s how boys are prevented to get into the girl's dorm. But looks like it doesn’t count for transfigured ones.”, you explained to him from the upper landing.
“Then I´ll have to get myself turned into a ferret every time I want to visit you?”, Malfoy mocked.
“Maybe you don’t have to sneak into my dorm every time you want to do so.”, you countered.
Malfoy laughed.
“We´ll see about that love.”

"Maybe if you'd listen to me, this wouldn't have happened!" came the remark of a certain fiery maknae. The receiver just rolled his eyes, "If I listened to you I'd be in bigger shit than I am right now!" He fired right back at her. Despite the venom the pair spat at each other, Aiko and Hyunjin did truly love each other, they were just.. having a very loud discussion. So what got them into said discussion? A paint brush. Aiko had got live on YouTube for a bit, after making sure any and all hints of her budding relationship with the tall ferret was concealed to the world. She just forgot one thing, the very used and worn down paint brush that Hyun always uses for his paintings that could rival those of Picasso himself. Hawkeyed STAYs obviously noticed and even more rumours of the two being romantically involved with eachother resurfaced. These rumors were true, but the public couldn't know that, no one but the group could know.
"Whatever, I'm honestly glad they saw it! I'm tired of being so secretive, other idols have gone public about they're relationship! Why can't we?" Aiko challenged, "Because you're under enough hate as it is! Going public would just make things worse for both you and me, the group as well!" Hyunjin wasn't wrong, if they were to go public, Aiko's hate would increase, since even being rumored to be dating the heartthrob of the group made her the recipient of the most vile of comments. "I'm not scared of them! You don't need to worry so much, It's nothing I'm not used to any ways!" Aiko rolled her eyes, she was beginning to get sick of this conversation. "Why are you like this?! You never care about yourself and that hurts me! It's almost as if you do it on purpose! I care about you alot, Aiko, and it hurts to see you so- so comfortable with being hated and harassed so much!" Hyunjin finally snapped. He made way for the door, "Let me know when you finally pull your head out of your ass and think of how your actions have an effect on those who love you." He walked out, almost slamming the door due to how strong his feelings were. Aiko was left stunned in place, of course she'd seen Hyun get over emotional, but never that much. She was broken out of her thoughts by her phone vibrating on the table next to her. She picked it up and read the text from her manager, it was time to prepare for the next performance scheduled for Stray Kids.
Aiko wiped her face, she needed to get her mind straight. She walked out of the room and out of the building, passing a very pissed off Hyunjin on the way out. He wasn't actually mad at her, he loved her more than she knew, he was just mad that she held almost no regard for her own health and well-being, and how she didn't even consider how he'd feel if she someday fell apart and stopped fighting.
A few weeks had passed since they're argument. They decided to spend some time away from one another, to avoid further animosity between them. This cold war didn't go unnoticed, the other members had definitely noticed how the lovebirds hadn't exactly been love birding lately. Chan not liking his members to be this distant with each other sat them down and talked it out with them, which helped them at least forgive one another, but they still weren't 'back to normal'. The next stage for the MANIAC tour was approaching and Chan had had an idea, one Aiko and Hyunjin might both enjoy. "A dance cover?" Aiko asked, looking up from her phone, "Yeah! We think it'll be a neat idea! Plus STAYs will love it!" Chan knew Aiko would do anything if it meant that her beloved STAYs would be happy, "Fine, but in the middle of a tour is kinda weird, oppa.." Her tone was accusing but Chan had already walked out of hearing distance.
Aiko sat in the middle of the practice room scrolling aimlessly through her phone. Chan had apparently asked for the members to gather in the practice room for their apparent "dance cover" for a song she wasn't aware of yet. What was even more suspicious was that Chan asked to meet in the smaller practice room rather than their regular room for some reason. Ai trusted Chan but she was really starting to question his intentions- "Hyunjin?!-" Her thinking was interrupted by her tall petty ferret, who she still was being icy to, walked in. "I knew he sounded suspicious.." Groaned Hyunjin, Chan had told him the same things he told Aiko, except he had told him the song choice for this dance cover. Blackpink's collab with Dua Lipa titled 'Kiss and Makeup." That was when he started to raise suspensions. As the petty pair sat on opposite ends of the dande room waiting for the other members, it was becoming abundantly clear of what Chan's intentions were.. to try and reconcile the two through a dance cover. How creative. It was when Minho sent Aiko the specific choreography for the cover when the maknae had just about enough of this reconnection tactic. Towards the ending of the song, when the final chorus begins, Aiko and Hyunjin are supposed to do a body roll off eachother (like jenlisa at 2023 coachella).
The two dancers had done the rest of the choreo flawlessly, but when it came to that final piece of moves, it was a little hard to digest. For starters, neither of them were used to 'spicy' dances, and they weren't done being petty towards eachother.
"Touch me like you touch nobody, put your hands all up on me-" "Hyunjin come on! We've been stuck on this move for a week now!" "Well it's not all my fault you know! You haven't exactly been all that into either!" Aiko groaned and walked to turn off the music, they clearly needed a break. What she didn't see was the look of longing Hyunjin gave her. He hated their situation, and all he wanted to do was hug and say that he forgave her. "Aiko, we should talk." Ai was surprised, he hardly ever called her by her full name, so she could tell he was serious, "About what?" She questioned back, "About everything, about us, and about what we should do." Hyun sat down on the couches in the back of the room and silently requested Aiko to do the same.
As soon as Aiko sat down, Hyunjin placed his hands gently over hers and began speaking, "Jagi, what's going on between us? We never used to be like this..." "Petty?" Aiko finished for him. She sighed, "This all started with the whole keeping our relationship a secret.. I personally think we should come clean, but if you're not comfortable with that then I understand." Now it was Hyunjin's turn to be surprised, it was hard for Aiko to admit she was wrong. He scooted closer to her, now feeling the strong urge to just.. hold her, "I've been thinking about it and.." He trailed off, "And?" Aiko urged. Hyunjin gave a sigh of defeat, "It's getting difficult to hide the fact that I love you.."
Some time has passed since their talk. They forgave eachother and finally put their immature pettiness aside. They both decided to reveal their relationship to the public during the month before they're comback in June, so they would have enough time to mentally prepare. They killed the 'Kiss and Makeup' performance flawlessly, which again strengthened the dating rumors even further. Aiko couldn't wait to tell STAYs that those rumors were in fact a reality. A loving reality at that. This cold war proved to Aiko that Hyunjin did infact love her more than words can describe, and this further cemented Aiko's insane love she has for Hwang Hyunjin, and now nothing could stop her from what she's planning to do next.

Hiiii 🙋‍♀️ Can you write an one-shot which reader is Gojo's one year junior in Jujutsu tech? I can't stop thinking him with a silly kouhai who annoys him first but matchs %100 with his energy afterwards. I don't have a specific scene between them, i just wanna see them a little bit stupid and cute together 😅 i think he needs a break and reader can be an escape where he can be himself rather than the strongest 🤷🏼‍♀️ on my mind, in some point reader starts growing feelings for him but doesn't wanna accept because of his power and looks. She doesn't think she would even be a choice so she always rejects the idea of loving him but at the same time wanna be his friend forever 'cause she sees, he is happy and relaxed with her. But by the time her feelings that kept unaccepted grow harder and harder so staying as friends becomes harder too 😬 i know it's a detailed "non-specific" idea but this is the baseline of the story that keeps turning on my mind. I would become really happy to read a story like this written by you 😇 btw can it be sfw? But fluffy kisses and touchs are very appreciated 🥰 just can not imagine them in an intimate scene like in smuts for now 😬
The sun and the cloud
Tumblr media
Senpai Gojo x kohai reader
Summary: Your senpai is like a cloud. Sometimes white and happy. Sometimes black and angry.. You were his sun. His escape from a bad life as a Jujutsu sorcerer. You wanted to be his friend forever. However, you seem to have fallen in love with him...
"This bird is strange... It's such a flying white fluff! It's so small, how can it fly? It's so small and fluffy... Don't you think it looks weird being so white with those black eyes?"
You looked at your senpai who was looking at a picture of a bird he found in a postcard display.
You looked at the bird in the picture and then he has it.
This bird reminded you of something... Or rather, it reminded you of someone...
"It looks like you, senpai."  You said right away when you realized that this white bird with black eyes looks like him.
He has white hair and wears his black glasses.
He looked at you with a raised eyebrow. You chuckled softly at his reaction.
"...Really (y/n)?"
You took a step back and covered your mouth with your hand as you saw his reaction.
Before he changed his reaction, you pulled away, knowing what was about to happen.
Then his hands shot up at you, pinching your cheeks.
"You can be a hamster if you want! If you think I'm that bird!" he laughed, stretching your cheeks.
"Szzenpai–" you mumbled, unable to speak normally because he was holding your cheeks.
You reached for his sleeves, holding the fabric in your hands.
"Have you had enough, little kohai? Are you giving up?" He chuckled, looking at you with a winning smile.
He released you as your fingers reached for his wrists.
He didn't care that you were in the store.
He just acted like him.
With a smile, he turned sideways to you, wanting to indicate that he wanted to go.
"Because you're tall, sometimes you look like a weasel or a ferret." You said suddenly and he stopped, looking at you with a fake annoyance on his face.
He reached out to you as you laughed, and put his arm over yours, pulling you closer to him.
That was your close senpai/kohai relationship.
And that relationship was perfect for you.
You were his escape from his worries. He adored you as his kohai. You were sweet and funny.
Sometimes you laughed at him or made jokes. But it never happened that you pulled away from him.
You matched his emotions.
You always spent time with him.
And it was very nice for him.
You always made him feel better.
Your sometimes goofy behavior was comforting to him.
That's why he immediately chose you as his favorite kohai. He was only a little older than you. So at your age it was normal.
And you hoped it would be like this until the end. That you will be friends until the end. You will rejoice and mourn together. Cry and laugh. That you will share hours of life together. Talk and spend time. Have fun together.
However, you were also afraid of one thing... that it wouldn't work.
However, your senpai keeps showing you that no matter what happens, you can be by his side.
And it's been like that since you were in school.
From the first year you got there.
Your sincere smile directed at him shone across your face. That's why he was smiling too.
When he was depressed or sick, you cheered him up. You were there, asking what was going on and if there was anything you could do for him. You wanted to be a good kohai for senpai. And then you started talking to him. Talk to him. You brought him candy. He just knew right away that you were his little sun of a smile.
You could grieve with him. You were laughing with him. All. You matched him. And you knew when was the perfect time to laugh. Make him a little nervous.
And even if he did, he couldn't be mad at you.
You were very cute, and you always laughed at what was supposed to be funny.
That's why he couldn't be angry with you.
Just like you stole his newly bought lollipop. And you put it in your mouth, smiling ominously. He looked like a sad, pissed-off cat. And he just opened your mouth, pulled out a candy on a stick, and took it for him.
It was the first time you blushed after...
It was normal for him to eat your food or drink your drink.
You too were able to do something like this. But you never thought he'd be able to share a lollipop with you...
He just took the sweet into his mouth.
Not caring that you just sucked it in your mouth.
It wasn't disgusting to him. He just took what was his.
You felt like you were giving him an indirect kiss right now....!
That's why you blushed.
"what's wrong?" he asked, pulling the lollipop out of his mouth and holding it between his fingers.
"N-Nothing!"
"Why are you blushing?" He leaned down a little so his face was level with his.
That cocky smirk...!
It was so annoying at times, but that smirk was also cool at times. It suited him.
You didn't even want to say that his smirk was handsome!
But it was!
"Just something I remember..." you replied, turning sideways to him.
"Oh? Really?" approached you from the front. "Because I thought it was the indirect kiss we had through the lollipop."
His damned perceptiveness!
He suddenly brought a lollipop to your lips, lightly tapping your lip with the candy.
"Look how red you are! It's just an indirect kiss!" He laughed before taking his lollipop to his lips.
You pushed his face away with your hands, watching his cheek being deformed by your fingers.
He chuckled and pulled the candy stick out of his mouth, pulling your hand away to quickly lean over. And placed a quick kiss on your forehead.
"It's not an indirect kiss anymore~" he hummed before taking the lollipop again.
This is his game! This cannot be taken seriously! Such jokes also happen!
You pushed the glasses up his nose with your fingers, making it stick to his face.
"Ow!" He groaned as he adjusted his glasses.
You turned on your heel, pretending to be offended.
He ran over to you, placing a large hand on your head.
"I was joking! (y/n), don't be mad at me!"
He could be himself with you.
Could have been him. He could be what he wanted to be.
Do what he wanted.
You were his escape from the gray reality.
Sorcerer job sucks when it comes to death and combat.
That's why after missions, he would come to you. So that he can meet his sunshine in the dark life of a sorcerer.
And he was a white cloud to you.
While you were the sun, he was the cloud. The cloud is sometimes white, sometimes gray and sometimes black. Just like his humor. He is happy, sad or angry.
Same with you. You were a sorcerer too. But he saw only his sunshine in you.
Because you couldn't be anything else in his life. You were his sweet refuge for warmth. Running away from the cold of life.
Straight to you.
Your little cloud was so handsome and kind... You liked him so much. He was so powerful. He had everything.
And you already knew that the more time you spend with him, the more you feel like you won't be able to be a 100% friend at some point.
Because right now, you started to have feelings for your senpai. Feelings you never thought you'd get...
Especially to him.
To the funny senpai you've been living with since you met in school.
The more you looked at him, the more you felt it.
That something inside you is starting to love him...
You reject it as hard as you can.
Because it didn't make sense... He's powerful. He is one of the strongest sorcerers... Perhaps the strongest... He looks so good...
How could you be with a guy who looks like that and has so much power? It's not real!
You made him feel like he had a friend in you! You didn't want to give him anything else because he probably didn't want that!
You were just supposed to be his friend!
You were supposed to be His refuge from gray days!
How could you fall in love with him?
Every time I look at him, you start to feel the same... The feeling that you love him...
You tried to throw it away. So.
But by rejecting all feelings for him, you would reject him completely... And you wanted to be his friend!
You wanted to stay with him!
But you didn't want your heart to tell you to love him...
You were afraid of this...
He won't accept you...
He won't let you love him... He won't love you...
You just know it...
You don't want to ruin his happiness and his relaxed attitude around you...
You just don't want...
"We can talk?"
His voice snapped out of his thoughts. Your eyes widened as you stared at him as he stood next to you. You were sitting on your bench in the classroom.
"Gojo-senpai...?" You nodded, looking at him with wide eyes.
"I'd like to talk to you about something." he called again, looking into your eyes.
You didn't answer or give him any sign.
So he figured it was something he would do anyway.
He took a chair that was nearby and sat across from you.
Putting your feet under the table on either side of yours.
If you want to escape quickly, you will fail because he will prevent you.
"You're acting weird." He said calmly. "And it's been like that ever since with the lollipop..."
He scratched his nape.
"'Cause you know... I have one feeling I can't get rid of...
You looked at him questioningly.
"I also want to tell you something... But I can't..." he sighed. "Then maybe I'll show you what I want to show you. And also in this way I will ask you if this is also the case for you."
He suddenly stood up and cupped your cheek with his hand. To put his lips on yours.
You were surprised when he did it.
But when he didn't stop, you realized he was serious.
His eyes were closed as he didn't move away from you.
your senpai...
Has he gone mad?
You were all that mattered to him.
But you weren't his lover... That's why he wanted to change that.
And he knew he succeeded when you placed your hands on his cheeks without hitting him. Just holding him.

Could you do some headcanons for just being Draco’s best freind?
Best friends with Draco hcs
a/n: I absolutely love ferret boy as a bf and a best friend. He's basically perfect
Tumblr media
Constant teasing
Like literally no matter what you do he’s always gonna find something to make fun of you for (jokingly obv)
Sleepovers w/ him >>>>
You guys grew up together so you are basically siblings atp
I feel like you would get pretty close with his mom too because she’s always there when you stay at Draco’s place
You spend basically all your time together
It’s gotten to the point that some people have even started to think you’re together
We all know he has an attitude problem so you’ll have to keep him in check
Please don’t be afraid to put him in his place sometimes
Because you guys spend so much time together you are close with the Slytherin gang too
You and Mattheo absolutely LOVE to mess with Draco
You were even the first person to call him Ferret boy (lovingly of course)
Getting detention for talking in class is a regular occurrence
He may be slightly oblivious to your feelings at first but eventually he can read you like a book
Speaking of books, he loves telling you all about the current books he’s reading (and how he could’ve easily beat the main character)
Basically Draco Malfoy is an amazing best friend that we all wish we could have

Summary: your Boyfriend kicked you out of your dorm room and invites another girl over. In the common room you meet Draco Malfoy.
"Daphne has been sleeping in the same dorm as Pansy and Blaise for the last few days...I doubt that she's making her way back to her dorm right now..especially at that pace." Draco says in a calm voice as we both watch Daphne run towards my dorm room.
"Yeah. I know. Graham probably lets her know that I am not in my dorm room tonight. He's probably gonna brag about me sleeping in the common room." I say as I scoff.
"How about you'll sleep somewhere else?" He smirks at me.
A laugh leaves my lips.
"You're dorm room? Isn't that a bit obvious?"
Draco shakes his head.
"No, not my dorm room. Let's go." He says as he grabs my hand and pulls me up and drags me out of the Slytherin common room.
We quietly make our way through hogwarts. We are still allowed to be up and walk through Hogwarts, bur we're still careful that no one who knows us spots us together.
Draco suddenly stops in front of a huge wall.
He lets go of my hand and starts to walk past the wall while he seemingly concentrates.
"Shall I leave ooooor....?-" I akwardly say as I am confused what he's doing.
Suddenly after the third time walking past the wall,a huge door appeared.
I look at Draco in shock as he only smirks at me.
He again grabs my hands as I am still overwhelmed by what just happened.
We enter the the room and my heart skips a beat.
A huge king sized bed and some beautiful book shelves. Furthermore, a sofa and a cute fireplace.
"What is this place..?" I say as I look around.
"The room of requirements." Draco answers as he makes his way over to the bed.
"How did you find it?-Did you just run a few laps in the hallway or what the heck did you do?" I ask as I laugh at him.
"Stop making fun of me. I just got us a beautiful place to stay for the night." He says as he rolls his eyes.
"Okay, okay. I was just joking, ferret boy." I tease him.
"You still remember that?" Draco whines after hearing the familiar nickname.
"Draco, everyone remembers. You were a freaking ferret." I say as I let myself fall into the bed.
"I hoped everyone would forget it someday." He quietly says as he looks away.
I laugh at his reaction.
"You think that's funny, huh?" He says as he looks at me.
I smirk as I look at him.
"Yes, kinda."
"I think it's time to whipe that smirk out of your face, you little brat."

Could we get headcanons of different pets the Genshin men would have and how they would interact with them or their personalities? Especially Diluc and Alhaitham. I love men with animals, the biggest green flag
I got you, boo! I honestly couldn't stop once I started so added a few other characters
Alhaitham, Diluc, Kaeya, Childe, Cyno TW: neglected animals in Cyno's
Pet Headcanons
Alhaitham
She showed up in a previous post but I think he would have a cat
An Egyptian Mau to be precise, her name would be Asal (Persian for honey) after her golden/bronze coat
She would 100% be a curious and very intelligent kitten who loves to run around and play
Type of cat who just climbs up fabric/clothes and will sit on your shoulder or around your neck
Will bite and pull on your ear if you oversleep and don’t feed her
Literally embodiment of “Ray of Sunshine
Absolutely loves Kaveh for some reason (totally not because he spoils her rotten)
“Kaveh, stop feeding her so much, she’s getting fat. I don’t want two spoiled lazy cats”
“Excuse you, she’s perfect and skinny as is… Wait did you insult me too?!”
Does tricks! she knows how to sit, shake, tap (where she taps her nose to your finger/thumb) and is learning more
Diluc
A big dog man
I could see him with rottweilers, german shepherds or bernese mountain dogs with a name like “Bear” or “Beau”, short, bold, and simple.
Originally gotten as guard dogs for a paranoid Ragnvindr who has many enemies and just got back from a murder spree in Snezhnaya, they now work more as emotional support dogs for him and others
He also still has his childhood tortoise (because those things live forever) which he named ‘Clip’ as a child
He’s very mellow, the dogs treat him as one of their own
They also cuddle and sleep together, two dogs wrapped around a tortoise who rests his head on the dog’s neck
When he and Kaeya were in their older teens, Crepus got them both large Clydesdale horses when they both joined the Knight’s Cavalry.
He named his horse Skinfaxi and Kaeya has Hrímfaxi (named after the sun and moon horses from Norse mythos)
Skinfaxi is one hell of a mare, it took Diluc a lot of time, energy, and patience to get her to behave (though she still has a playful streak)
Would buck him off during training but she was the fastest horse in the Cavalry
He would take her on long rides at night through the woods and around Dawn Winery just to get her to trust him
Kaeya
Obviously, Hrímfaxi, who, unlike his sister, was much more timid.
They both got along really well, with no issues, unlike their siblings.
The two riding are almost like one being, completely in synch
With the cavalry gone, Mondstadt City doesn’t have a lot of space for a horse so he stays with his sister at Dawn Winery
Kaeya comes by whenever he can to ride him
But besides her he would take care of the stray cats around Mondstadt City, refilling food and water bowls around the city while on patrol
One day, after a long night, Kaeya woke up to clawing and meowing at the door and saw his favorite cat, a Calico named Lucky, wandered inside and flopped on his rug in pain, crying as he noticed the giant lump coming from her stomach
By sunrise, he now had a mother of three kittens refusing to leave his house.
Two girls (One Calico like her mom and the other orange) and a boy (A black cat with faint stripes)
He lets Klee name them: Sunny (Orange), Cloudy (Calico) and Stormy (the black cat)
The girls are definitely headstrong while Stormy is shy and tends to hide behind his big sisters
(as a kaeya kinnie with three stray/outdoor cats, he gets them too)
Childe
From a family with lots of big dogs, like Great Pyrenees, Samoyed, and Tibetan Mastiffs
When he moved to Liyue for deployment and got super lonely, his subordinates weren’t super close to him and locals didn’t trust him as a Harbinger, he grew rather lonely
Till he went into the countryside to deal with some Treasure Hoarders and saw them using weasels and ferrets to carry contraband and money around without notice
What really sold him was watching a little kid in the camp playing with one and rubbing noses with it
The next day Ajax had two ferrets running around his apartment with the most expensive ferret setup money could buy
They are the most playful, feral things who love running around and play-fighting each other
Named Jayson and Lila, a pair of twins
(totally didn't name them after the stoats from Burrow’s End)
Loves them so much and plays with them throughout all of his free time
Leaves them to his assistant whenever he is away or is busy (who proceeds to give her hell)
They love it when he wears big coats/parkas so they can climb in and snuggle
Cyno
Didn’t have pets growing up
His first pet was on a mission as General Mahamatra, arrested some guy, went through his house for evidence, and found a severely malnourished and neglected Leopard Gecko
Some of his claws had fallen off to nubs due to layers of sheaded skin build up and he was cold to the touch from lack of heating.
The lizard curls up into his warm hands and it immediately melts the General Mahamatra’s heart
Immediately putting him back and picking up the cage, he leaves the rest of the investigation to his coworkers before rushing to Gandharva Ville
Scared Tighnari and Collei with how quickly he rushed in through the door with a giant glass terrarium.
Looks calm and collected but is sitting in the corner with Collei just staring at Tighnari and the lizard, internal panic on the inside
Once Tighnari gives an analysis, Cyno asks Nari to watch the lizard for a few days and he will come back for it
Proceeds to spend two days straight researching Leopard geckos and how to take care of them
Also blows a good portion of his paycheck on supplies for the gecko, a larger tank, lights, and heating pads, etc.
Picks him up and takes him home as soon as the terrarium is set up
Names him something dumb like “Geck” or a combo of his and Tighnari’s names like “Tighno”
Most people don’t know besides Tighnari and Collei that the gecko exists, and why would they? Who’s gonna believe that the General Mahamatra has a tiny lizard as a pet
When Alhaitham and Kaveh find out Cyno has a pet, Cyno immediately pulls out pictures from his wallet like a proud dad
Whenever he is away for a while, he has Collei house sit and take care of the lizard, pays her generously
Will just sit on top of Cyno’s head or shoulder and chill
Loves to chirp and make little noises for fun/comfort
(also a leopard gecko parent and my gecko is a rescue with all these attributes from being mishandled)

Math San, I Gotta Ask For More Of That Primarch planet Swap AU, The Amount Of Imaginations That Is Going Through My Head Is Insane, But Headcanons are enough of you do not want to update, As I Am also Genuinely Interested In The Headcanons as well.
Hello hello!!! I am *slowly* going back into updating my blog again, so!
Primarch planetswap au: HC edition!
Lorgar (From Terra): actually quite close to his father and Malcador. Has the habit of walking into Malcador rooms and face planting on the old man bed to complain, after a hard day of not strangling the high lords.
Angron: On Inwit, he had the disastrous habit of running toward all the giant carnivorous monster. Due to his empath power, he ended with a monstrosity called "Land-Orca" that he treat like a dog as a pet.
Fulgrim of Nuceria: Sign language was actually the primary one in the slave pits, to communicate away from the guards. The system that Fulgrim and his sons use together is different from any other, and quite secretive. He actually started teaching it to Ferrus.
Alpharius Omegon on Chtonia: They were actually homeless, until emp showed up! They never wanted their full identity as two knows to other, as it could have compromise their secret statut of vigilante, fighting back the local gangs.
Magnus of Medusa: Think rocks are tasty, okay? He never quite got over his habit of eating sand, but now it's mostly crystal. Has an actual chart ranking the tastiest ones, and fucking LOVE how tasty fossil are.
Leman of Delivrance: Has yet to fully understand that has wolf dna, and as such fight a lot of his instinct. Insist on touching everyone he consider family, and check on the regular where everyone is, and if they are ok. Always eat last too.
Konrad on Maccrage: when he was a child and having really bad convulsion, his mother gave him a pet ferret (wich used to be common pets for Romans) as some kind of alert animal. Konrad doesn't deal well with food often, so his beloved lil friend (called Regulus) became the fattest, happiest noodle.
Ferrus of Caliban: He actually has a romantic side! He grew up hearing songs of knights and princess, and then ended up becoming a knight himself! And while incredibly chivalrous, the realm of the arts (outside a forge) stay incredibly foreign to him. He does love nowaday harlequin romance novels.
Horus on Nostramo: In spite of having created a rather criminal society, he made extreme effort to make it a true meritocracy. Any street urchin can become a mob enforcer under him... If they navigate properly the treacherous world of the mafia.
Sanguinius of Fenris: He actually is a supremely picky eater, and does not trust 95% of vegetables. He only ate meat until he was found by the Imperium, he's not a goat, why do they keep waving kale at him?!
Lion on Colchis: Fully, 100% aware that the chaos gods are real, and actively pray to them. He has his "religion of the Emperor" that he actually use as a facade, since it annoy Emp so much, he doesn't look into his "true" belief.
Perturabo on Chemos: has actually developed full AI again, but hide it HARD from Emp and the Mechanicus. He like his robots!! He think that they should have rights! Why can't the Imperium be less stupid about this... Vaguely in love with Rogal and his Cool Armours.
Jaghatai on Baal: Became quite the warlord, locally. Was especially curious of the use of radiation, and definitely made some horrible WMD back in the day. Currently falling in line with the Mechanicus, as every vehicules present on Baal was almost holly in their culture.
Rogal of Nocturne: Created some really, REALLY advanced fortification that can, somehow, follow the landscape change. Is pioneering the use of dragon scales mixed with special metals, creating something that might be stronger than ceramite. Does not understand why Perturabo is always hanging around.
Roboute on Barbarus: decided to fight necromancy with fire... Artillery fire, to be exact. He brought the industrial revolution to Barbarus, and has pretty intense plan for terraforming the planet. Hasn't stopped working in.... Approximately 50 years.
Mortarion of Prospero: Like in many of my hc, Morty is intersex. He's lucky to have landed on Prospero, where androgyny is a sign of beauty. He actually like cultivating that appearance, and if asked what his gender is, he usually just reply "mushroom".
Corvus of Chogoris: if it's me, then you bet Corvus is a transwoman lol. She wear traditional mongolian ceremonial outfit as a power move, because *no one* expect her to be able to move this easily in all those heavy clothes.
Vulkan of Olympia: VERY close to all 3 of his siblings! He was never a fighter there, and instead worked hard to promote a democratie and division of power. He still is in contact with all of them, especially Calliphone. She keep teasing him about his possible crush on a certain Oracle...

But he’s also ruthless, passionate, and as infuriating as ever, and the brief relationship he and Harry had in Eighth Year still feels painfully fresh despite two decades spent apart. What Harry and Draco used to be is all in the past. And surely they can work together in these new, emotionally charged circumstances without falling in love all over again… can’t they? Rec Post

If you wanted to get me alone, all you had to do was ask,” Malfoy rasped. “I’m going to ask you one more time, Malfoy. Where were you?” Malfoy’s thin lips curled into a smirk. “Wouldn’t you like to know?” Or, Harry tries to catch an arsonist, and Malfoy smells like smoke. Rec Post

Deep in the heart of the Ministry lies the Beast Division: a hidden room where ancient beasts roam, and winged creatures soar, and grumpy giant ferrets eat all your biscuits unless you keep them well hidden. Draco Malfoy would know – he’s been working there for five years now, after all. Meanwhile, on Level One, ex-Golden Boy Harry Potter is stuck in another interminable policy meeting, completely unaware of the mysterious comings and goings just three floors below. But when a giant snake emergency requires the assistance of a Parselmouth, Harry finds himself thrust, unprepared, into Draco’s weird and wonderful world – and naturally, he can’t keep away… Rec Post

Years after turning from those who left him, Harry is dragged back to that world once more. Many find him far changed from the boy who’d once known. Some - some very few - even like that change. Draco Malfoy just happens to be one of those chosen few. Rec Post

Here are a few more fics I've read recently that y'all might like to check out as well! (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧
Tumblr media
The Unknown Door by waterwings @amywaterwings
There is something wrong with the Bellcrest. The heart of the place beats rotten. Everyone says so. Where Draco is a magical property manager, Harry is a recluse, and they’re definitely not hiding from their problems in the run-down flats of the Bellcrest. Not at all. Not one bit.
Keep Your Brittle Heart Warm by flightinflame @flightinflame
Eighth-year offers Draco a brief respite before he returns to Azkaban. With a restricted wand, and memories of a girl who shouldn't exist, he has very little hope for the future. But when Harry brings Teddy into the school, and proves to be utterly clueless, things change beyond anything he could imagine.
Historians by oknowkiss @oknowkiss
It’s the Dumbledore’s Army Reunion Holiday, and Harry’s found himself in hot water with his friends once again, after telling them he has a boyfriend he definitely does not have. In an attempt to fix things, he’s made it his colleague on Level Nine, Draco Malfoy’s problem too. Featuring a ski chalet in Switzerland, a pair of bunk beds, and an agreement that should’ve been simple, were it not for all the bloody feelings getting in the way.
The Wake-up Kiss by Justlikewriting
This time, when Harry found himself without a date for the Ministry Yule Ball, Parvati Patil was unable to step in. So, he was left with the only other viable option: to ask Draco Malfoy. Which would be fine, of course: it had been twelve years since the war after all. And they saw each other regularly now, meeting up with the same group of friends almost every Friday night. Harry, however, obviously hadn’t taken into account just how insufferable Zacharias Smith could be.
The Binding and the Loosing by TheGoblinMatriarch @goblinmatriarch
Draco Malfoy is a reclusive academic who works on layered generational magic under the pseudonym Scholar Griseo. When he is contacted by a ‘James Black’ for help with a tricky situation with a magical House, he can’t help but notice the similarities between his potential client and Harry Potter. Since he can’t exactly refuse to help the Saviour of the magical world, Draco girds his loins and visits Grimmauld Place, where he ends up involved in what he must presume is one of those classic Harry Potter misadventures. Bonding, sentient Houses, domesticity ahoy!
( •ॢ◡-ॢ)-♡ I hope you enjoy these fics as much as I have! Happy reading, y’all! xoxo, Carey  (◍•ᴗ•◍)♡ ✧*💜💙💚💛❤💗💕💖

Snowman
Draco Malfoy x Male Reader
Context: Reader and Draco are already buddy buddy, but not together. They totally have crushes on each other though, make no mistake about that. Reader is a third-year Hufflepuff, and a fan of the Slytherin Quidditch team. The two have been friends since second year when Draco joined said Slytherin Quidditch team.
Summary: Winter is in full swing and Hogsmeade is as snowy as ever. You're minding your business building a snowman on the ledge overlooking the shrieking shack, when Draco decides to join you. <3
Word Count: 828
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Snow crunched under the weight of your feet. You lugged the last of three mounds of snow on top of your snowman, wiggling it around in place to find a stable place to rest it. You smiled and let out a sigh of relief when it stopped wobbling, slowly backing away from it to admire your handiwork. You tucked your hands into your sleeves and rubbed your arms together, shivering in the cold.
“Having a good time, eh, L/N?” You turned your head to see Draco trotting down the hill towards you, a bag clutched in his hand.
“Yeah! I built a snowman.” You smile widely at him, opening your arms out to present your snowman. “Took me ages.”
He got closer, eyeing the snowman before nodding his head back like he had an idea. “Looks like rubbish, in all honesty.”
You brought a dramatic hand to your chest and feigned offense, clicking your tongue. "What ever could be wrong with my son?"
Draco blew a puff of smug air out of his nose, the vapor dusting the air. He opened the bag in his hand and pulled out a carrot, snapping it in half and tossing the bag and blunt half off to the side haphazardly. "Well, he could use a nose, for one, and-"
After shoving the carrot nose into the snowman's head, he bent down and started gathering snow from the ground, pressing it into the gaps between the lowest layer of the snowman and the ground.
“You have to make him more stable than this, otherwise he won’t last.”
He looked up at you with a shit-eating grin and you rolled your eyes, shuffling to the other side of the snowman and crouching down to join him. The two of you continued in silence, scooping snow into the crevices of the snowman to ensure its stability.
Once it looked much more concrete than it had before, you both stood fully back up, but not before Draco gave the snowman one final pat down to make sure everything stayed in place. “See?” He pointed towards it, settling at your side and leaning slightly towards you. “Much better. You’re lucky I came here, really. He wouldn’t have lasted at all if I hadn’t. Not a day.” He nodded to himself, looking at the snowman proudly.
“Sure, ferret-face.” You said sarcastically, the smile on your face betraying your tone. Draco was about to talk back when you hugged yourself tight against the cold, a wave of shivers passing over you again.
He stared for a moment, eyes lingering just a second too long on your cold-tinted lips. His eyebrows quirked up. “By the way,” He squinted at you. “What are you doing out here with no jacket on? No gloves, even.”
“I would have them on if I had them at all! It’s like one moment they were in my trunk, and the next, they weren’t.” You waved your hands through the air in exasperation as you spoke.
Draco stared at you with an amused glint in his eye before shaking his head with a smile and shimmying out of his outermost jacket.
“What are you doing?”
“What’s it look like I’m doing? You git.” He held the jacket by its collar for a moment like he was contemplating tossing it at you, before he turned towards you and lifted an arm above your head, swinging the jacket around you.
You felt your face heat up a little and you stared at his eyelashes as he tugged it snuggly onto you. His eyes stared off to the side purposefully, never once meeting yours even after he pulled away. You slipped your arms into the sleeves. “Won’t you be cold?”
“I was already wearing layers under it, anyways.” He swatted at the air, still avoiding eye contact, cheeks dusted pink.
“Thanks Dray, what a gentleman you are, truly.” You teased him, making a bashful expression and pulling the corners of the jacket up in a curtsy. You fought a smile and exhaled from your nose as you watched his eyebrows furrow and his face further redden.
“I’ll remember that next time you decide to come build a snowman with no jacket, you ungrateful arse.”
You giggled and paid his empty threat no mind, knowing he didn’t really mean it. You playfully hugged his side, and brushed off his still-reddening face as the cold getting to him.
Draco tried to push you off, but you clung stubbornly. He gave in and begrudgingly hugged you back, both arms around the tops of your shoulders. He made a point to face off to the side still, gaze fixated on the shrieking shack in the snowy distance. If he enjoyed your hug just a little too much? Well, that was nobody’s business.
And if he showed up again hours later with a suspiciously new-looking set of Slytherin school-spirit gloves with a matching hat and scarf? Well, he supposes, neither was that.

Tumblr media
You bid goodbye to Jin, heading over to Taehyung’s room to check up on Jimin and Taehyung. You hear laughter from the room as you approach it, making you smile.
You knock, mumbling a “Knock knock,” loud enough for them to hear, waiting for the door to open. You hear some rustling before the door is opened revealing a pouting Jimin. You pout back, “Hey, Jimin. I’m sorry I didn’t come by earlier, I had to take care of another hybrid.”
His face seems to fall slightly at that, yet he immediately puts on a small smile, nodding in understanding before welcoming you into the room. “Hey, Taehyung. How are you holding up?” He smiles, “Pretty good, better than I thought I would.” You smile.
Jimin takes a seat beside Taehyung on the bed, patting the spot beside him for you to sit as well. You make your way over, sitting down with some space between you, “Are you going to be able to hang out?” Jimin asks, looking at you with puppy dog eyes.
You chuckle, “Yes, I can hang out until dinner.” Jimin smiles widely, earning a smile from you. “Let’s play something!” Jimin chirps. “Like what?” Taehyung asks, laying down on the bed, “Umm..” Jimin pouts, trying to think of a game. “I can always get a board game?” You offer, standing up.
“Do you both want to come with me to pick out a game?” Taehyung nods, yet Jimin seems reluctant. “It’ll be okay, Minie. Don’t worry.” Taehyung assures, gently taking his hand and standing up with him.
You lead the way, shutting the door behind the three of you before going in front again, taking them to the gaming area of the building. Jimin’s eyes widened in curiosity at the amount of board games and electronic games, watching the hybrids playing numerous games on different consoles.
You turn and see the longing in both Taehyung and Jimin’s eyes, bringing a smile to your face, “Do you wanna play here? There should be a free console for the two of you.” Jimin jumps, turning to look at you quickly with slight embarrassment while Taehyung nods viciously.
Taehyung starts to drag Jimin to an available console, tail wagging slightly behind him. You follow behind closely, staying especially close to Jimin when Taehyung lets go of his hand to grab the controller. Jimin turns to look at you before looking back at Taehyung, seemingly reluctant.
You wordlessly guide him to the couch Taehyung’s made himself comfortable, sitting him down and grabbing a controller, handing it to Jimin. You sit down beside him, grabbing the remote and turning on the Tv, “What game do you two want to play?” You ask, getting up and walking to the games.
“What are the options?” Taehyung asks excitedly, walking over to look over the games with you. “Ooo this one!” He grabs a game before trotting back to the console, opening the case and popping the disc in. You walk back to the couch, reclaiming your spot beside Jimin.
Taehyung watches the tv with his brows knitted together, unsure of what to do when you step in, “Want help?” Taehyung turns to you, nodding with a pout. You chuckle, standing up and moving to sit by him, gently taking the controller from his hands. You guide him through what to do, starting him in a game with only him and Jimin to start.
You peek at Jimin to see him timidly shifting his gaze from the Tv to the controller in his hands. You smile, getting up and squeezing between Taehyung and Jimin, “Use this trigger to shoot, and aim with this joystick.” You slowly guide them both through what the buttons, triggers, and joysticks can be used for, watching as they try, and successfully, learn to play.
It doesn’t take long for the two to start laughing, hunting each other down, attempting to kill each other. When the round ends you’re smiling while Taehyung and Jimin are laughing. They start another round and you pull out your phone, letting out a small huff at the time. Dinner time. You’re about to tell the boys when the door opens and someone yells “Dinner!” Making everyone stop what they’re doing and make their way to the double door.
You stand up, turning to look at the boys now sporting pouts as they stare up at you. You giggle, “You can always come back tomorrow.” Jimin’s pout deepens, “You won’t hang out with us tomorrow?” You shake your head. “Tomorrows my day off.” You pout back at him. Jimin whines before getting up, tugging Taehyung with him to stand by you. “Then the next day?” Jimin asks, staring up at you with puppy eyes, “I’m off the day after tomorrow, too. I'm off on the weekends.”
Jimin whines, grabbing your hand with his free one, the other holding onto Taehyung’s hand. “But you’ll be back Monday, right?” You nod, “I will.” Jimin smiles at that, leading both you and Taehyung out of the game room before you take the lead, guiding them to the cafeteria.
You feel Jimin let go of your hand, turning to see him clutching to Taehyung as he eyes the full room wearily. You give Jimin a reassuring look before you lead them to the front to get their food. “This looks good.” Taehyung comments as he stares at the food, hit tail wagging slightly behind his back. You smile, stepping out of the way so Jimin and Taehyung can grab their food.
Once they both have their food you walk them to a table before bidding goodbye, walking around the room with a few other employees.
“Do you really have to go?” Jimin whines, leaning his head against the door frame as he looks at you expectantly. “Yes, I’m sorry Jimin. I have to get groceries.” Jimin pouts at this, pushing himself to stand upright before he walks up to you, looking at you tentatively before wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you close, resting his head on your shoulder.
You smile wrapping your arms around his shoulders and squeezing him softly before running your hand up and down his back.
After maybe a minute Jimin finally lets you go, looking up at you with a pout before he turns around and makes his way to Taehyung. You sigh when he lays on Taehyung’s shoulder, pout still on his lips.
You give them both a small wave before you close the door, walking down the hallway to the employee lounge to grab your belongings.
You groan, lifting your arm up to make the grocery bags slide back up your arm when movement out of the corner of your eye catches your attention. You turn your head to see another, smaller, head with fluffy ears on top peeking around a trash can, staring at you. You take a step toward it, watching as it takes a step out as well. “Hi buddy.” It takes another step, showing half of its body, the other half still covered by the trash can.
“You look like a pretty kitty.” The cat does something akin to a nod before stepping out fully, walking down the alleyway toward you. You take a step forward, crouching down and setting down an armful of grocery bags with a groan before sticking the now unoccupied arm in its direction. It sniffs your hand before rubbing his head on it, turning to drag your hand down the rest of its body.
You bring your hand back up to scratch its head, smiling when his eyes close and a purr builds up in its chest. “Oh, are you hungry?” The cat cracks its eyes open to stare at you, huffing when you pull your hand away to instead dig in one of the grocery bags on your other arm. Your smile widens when you finally spot the chicken, opening the bag and tearing off a piece before pulling it out of both the bags and offering it to the cat.
It grabs it before practically scarfing it down and looking back at you while licking its lips making you frown. “How long have you been alone, sweet thing?” You ask as you reach into the bags again, tearing off a few decent sized chunks before setting them on the ground in front of the cat. The cat quickly eats it before looking at you again.
You pout, reaching out and scratching behind its ear, “I gotta go, buddy.” The cat looks at you, walking toward you and rubbing against your knee. You bite back a whine as the cat starts to circle your body, still rubbing against you, “I’m sorry but I have to go.” The cat sits in front of you again, looking at you before hanging its head and turning around.
The action tugs at your heartstrings as you watch with a deeper pout as it slowly circles the trash can again. “Fuck Y/n, what is wrong with you..” You whisper, “Hey buddy? How would you like to come home with me?” You watch as the cat's head whips around the trash can, staring at you. You smile when it practically runs over to you, rubbing against your knee before you stand, grabbing your grocery bags and sliding them onto your arm.
“My car isn’t far away, so you won’t have to walk long.” The cat looks up at you before walking ahead with a pep to its step making you smile.
You giggle when the cat continues its way down the sidewalk, not seeming to notice that you stopped until you call out to it, “Where’re ya goin’?” The cat stops and turns around before hurrying back to you.
You laugh as you open the backseat door, setting down the grocery bags to give some relief to your arms before shutting the door and crouching down to the cat. “Can I pick you up?” The cat rubs against your hand, and you take it as your consent to reach down and pick it up carefully. You open the passenger side door and set it down on the seat, giving its head a few pets before shutting the door and rounding the car.
“I wonder what breed you are, sweet thing.” You think out loud after you’ve been driving for a few minutes. You take a quick peek at the cat to see it already looking at you. You really need to figure out its gender instead of calling it…well…it. “What’s your gender, sweetheart?” You ask when you reach a red light, turning your attention to the cat whose attention is already on you.
“Are you a girl?” The cat growls, just a small, short, growl as if telling you no. “Boy?” The cat starts purring, closing (what you’re guessing) his eyes. “Boy it is.” You say with a smile, focusing on the road again when the light turns green.
You set down the last bag with a huff, turning around to see the cat sitting in the doorway to the kitchen, staring at you intently. “You can go explore if you’d like, I just need to put away my groceries.” The cat's short tail does a small flick before turning around and making his way to the living room. You smile, reaching down and grabbing some of the groceries from the closest bag to you.
When you finish, you grab a few chunks off of the chicken you got, putting them on a plate. You take the bags and hang them up by the door before making your way to the living room. “Kitty?” Where’d you go buddy?” You call out, scanning over the living room before crouching down and looking under the couch. You find no sign of your new furry friend so you get up, scanning over the living room again before turning and heading down the hallway.
“Kitty?” You call out, poking your head into the guest bedroom and bathroom, finding no sign of him. You make your way to the end of the hall, pushing open the last door, scanning the bedroom before walking in. “Kitty?” You call out, huffing when you get no response.
‘Maybe he’s upstairs.’ You think.
You leave the bedroom, closing it behind you before making your way upstairs. “Kitty Kitty.” You call out, hearing a soft meow from your room at the end of the hall. You smile, making your way to the door and pushing it open, seeing your new furry friend sprawled out on your bed. “I see you got comfy.” You say with a giggle, making your way to the bed to sit beside him.
He gets up, rubbing his head against your arm as his soft purrs start echoing in your room. Your smile widens, reaching down to scratch between his ears. “Are you hungry, buddy?” You ask, setting down the plate of chicken in front of him. He looks at you once before focusing back on the chicken, eating it a bit slower than he had earlier.
You yawn, falling back onto your bed with a sigh, letting your eyes slide shut for a moment. “God I’m tired, Kitty. What do you say we go to bed, hmm?” You ask, turning to face said cat.
He rubs against your arm, and you take it as his way of giving you a yes. “Okay, I just gotta get ready, alright?” The cat gives you something weirdly akin to a nod, yet you brush it off, getting up and walking to your bathroom.
When you return, the cat is lying partially on a pillow and partially on the bed making you giggle at the sight, making your way to the unoccupied side of the bed. As soon as the cat feels your weight dip the bed, he lifts his head up, staring at you. You smile, scratching his head before plugging in and setting your phone on the nightstand and getting comfortable.
Once you find a comfortable position, you let your eyes glide shut with a content sigh, snuggling into your pillow. You hear purring before you feel a head bump into your arm bringing a small, tired smile to your face.
“Come on, Kitty.” You say, lifting up your arm so he can cuddle into your body. He does so almost immediately, circling into a ball by your chest as louder purrs echo on the walls of your bedroom. You’ve never heard a cat with such loud, and powerful, purrs before.
You brush the thought down, too tired to focus on anything else besides sleep at the moment. It doesn’t take long before your new furry friends purrs lull you into sleep.

A/n: Y/n was a bit dumb with the whole cat ordeal but Y’know, I wanted her to think of him as a cat for now, even if it is pretty obvious he’s a wild cat

OH MY GOD I TYPED UP A WHOLE THING AND ACCIDENTALLY LOST IT OH MY FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOD I HATE IT HERE- anyways *ahem* attempt no. 2 of me asking you for a Hazbin Hotel match because I have never done this kinda thing before and I'm curious :)
GENDER AND SEXUALITY: I'm non-binary, they/he/she pronouns. I generally don't have a preference between the three tbh but I do appreciate ppl mixing it up! I'm sex-repulsed asexual and gray-biromantic. Again no real preference lmfao
APPEARANCE: White, dark blonde hair, green eyes, just below 5'3, pretty basic looking all things considered. I've got a pretty angular face I think. I'm afab and don't shave cuz it's too much work. I wear pretty much exclusively graphic tees(band shirts, dumb jokes, fandom stuff... that kinda thing) or button ups with funky patterns paired w/ the comfiest pants I can find, but occasionally I'll pull myself together enough to make a dencent(?) outfit, typically reminiscent of shit scene kids in the early 2000s would wear. I also like dying my hair but usually don't bcuz I procrastinate on it for too long.
PERSONALITY: If I had to describe it in one word? Unhinged. I am unhinged. 7/10 people will agree I am a very frightening person to be around. I say out of pocket shit(ranging from vile sex jokes to just straight up threats of violence) pretty regularly. I also like to sneak up on ppl and make very loud noises just to see their reactions... *ahem* anyways, despite all that, most of my friends would also describe me as caring and loyal! I have low empathy, so the only way I ever understand any of my friends emotions is by using my own experiences to compare and contrast until I have a decent idea of what's going on in their head, but I AM very good at psychoanalyzing people and providing objective, unbiased thoughts & advice on their situations. I would also literally go to war for my friends. Like, if you hurt one of them say your goddamn PRAYERS because I am coming to your location with a knife and murderous intent. I'm kinda awkward & shy at first, but at my core I AM an extrovert. I just don't know how to talk to ppl bcuz I am ✨neurodivergent✨(autism & ADHD) and have a hard time approaching ppl bcuz I don't know if they'll like me or not. Typically I make friends by making very loud jokes and waiting for somebody to approach me because they like my sense of humor. Which speaking of, I am very funny! Most people I interact with regularly would agree I am a very funny person!!! I'm also really good at media analysis and making arguments. I don't do well in debates because I choke under the pressure(gotta work on that tbh), but I'm good at writing argumentative essays. Plus, I'm pretty good at just bold face lying to people so overall I can be pretty damn convincing. I like adrenaline rushes and try to actively seek out new experiences as long as I'm confident they won't cause me any significant damage(socially or physically) in the long run. Which is unfortunately not many because I am INCREDIBLY paranoid. Like to the point of accidentally staying up til 3am cuz I'm convinced someone's gonna break into my house and kill me... I also have depression, severe dissociation issues, and existential dread which is. Fun. That's fun. I also have a tendancy to go down random rabbit holes and obsess over inconsequential details in shows I like to the point of making whole ass conspiracy theories :)
LIKES: Cartoons, drawing, writing, acting, singing, reading fanfic, watching YouTube, long drives, listening to music, jumpscaring ppl, being funny, ziplining, problem solving, video essays, ghost hunting shows, supernatural stuff in general, psychology, media analysis, frogs, sharks, ferrets, cats, violence, chocolate, Drawfee(YT channel), glitter, and just. So many fandoms. Just so many.
DISLIKES: Slimey shit, being touched(most of the time, there are occasional exceptions), being touch starved DESPITE not liking being touched, ppl insulting my interests(only I get to do that), media illiteracy, projects I'm not invested in, ppl putting preasure on me, mosquitoes, existential dread, dissociating, being tired all the time, being wrong, taking risks, feeling vulnerable, and stories with a lot of potential that just. Don't do anything with said potential.
PREFERENCES?: Uh. Someone significantly taller than me(shouldn't be hard Hazbin characters are fucking huge) that'll listen to my insane rants and is able to match my energy.
Akdncksmfnsmdsn I rlly hope I did this right again it's my first time doing anything like this-
HEYYYYYY!!! FINALLY GOT TO YOU 😜
Honestly I was debating on like a few different characters BUT!
I’ve decided to pair you with… LUTE!
Tumblr media
Honestly I think she’d also be sex repulsed. She’s definitely more of a romantic lover! Though she doesn’t show it.
I think she talked to you at first because your style choices reminded her of Adam- and obviously, she misses him like crazy
If you did dye your hair often with her, she’d probably want to help you! I think she’d apply the color so it doesn’t get messy :)
She LOVES your personality. She thinks you are similar to her in many ways!
She also would need to experience it herself. She’s pretty stoic and doesn’t show her emotions. She’d probably think it’d make herself look weak.
I think you both would definitely fight back to back 24/7! You both would fight to the DEATH for each other.
She loves how caring you are for other people- it gives her a different sense of pace. Someone new!
I think Lute would see a TINY BIT through your lies. Lute is very observant with EVERYTHING.
She’d love if you made jokes. She need’s something less boring in her life than just standing there.
Adrenaline rushes? Totally join the exorcists- and you can be her right hand!!
She’d try to help you through paranoia, but you shouldnt worry much. She’s STRONG asf!
She’d LOVE TO HEAR CONSPIRACIES!! she would think they are SO COOL.
Although she isn’t much taller- I think she’d around 5’8 personally. She just looks small bc shes always next to Adam who’s HUGE!
She may not be able to match your energy, only because she’ll need to come out of her shell more- she’s always listening. She has ears EVERYWHERE.

HOPE THIS WAS OKAY ❣️

Meeting Through Dreams
Day 8 leggo
Today we have borrower Mira starting dreams that should bring her to her perfect partner, but she doesn't exactly want that to happen...
Meeting Through Dreams
Mira groaned, her birthday had been a total disaster. The human she lived with was home and checking everything so she couldn’t get the fruit she wanted. Kaya wasn’t able to visit because of the recent storms. Then the human woman was talking about getting pets on the phone. Giant rat things from what the other person said. She didn’t want to meet ferrets. The only option was to move.
She collapsed onto her fabric pile. The worst part of all of this were the dreams that would start tonight. She wasn’t interested in some fated perfect partner even if it was usually right. There were too many stories of people who were fated to be with someone on the other side of the city. A place that she could barely reach unless Kaya chose to help. They would, but she didn’t want that. There was so much pressure for the relationships to work.
Mira looked around her small home. There was so much she had planned. The fabrics that she collected for the walls. Piles of things she could put together into something interesting. All of it would be left behind when she moved. It was more painful this time; this was the first place she thought might become a home. Leaving home was meant to make it easier, to ease the concern everyone had about forest predators. Now she was tempted to have Kaya help her go back. A place where she wasn’t constantly worried she would have to leave in the dead of night.
Mira closed her eyes, imagining the home she almost made. Some tables of things she’d been planning to steal. Fabrics hanging on the walls instead of the dreary insulation and brick. Anything she wanted to keep. The image stayed until she fell into a deep sleep.
Mira’s eyes opened to the exact place she imagined. She ran a hand over the fabrics, a perfect replication of the ones in her mind. It was just a dream. Not just any dream, the dream, and she already hated it. None of this would be there when she woke up. The worst part of it all, someone else would be privy to the wishes she hid in her heart. She slipped out of the room to a world too real for her.
All around were towering chairs and tables humans used. It was likely the other person lived among humans too. That would make things easier, at least they’d understand the life she leads. Mira wandered around in the large empty space. If no one showed up she’d take it as a blessing.
“Hey!” a masculine voice shouted. She bit back a sigh. She looked around trying to find a way to avoid the person. She’d rather not meet them directly. Unfortunately it was too late.
A man with black hair and piercing blue eyes ran up from behind one of the chair legs. He was taller than her, an average build. He had pale skin, although there was a tint that made her doubt his living in a human house. Mira turned away from him, she had more important things to do. Like figuring out where this man was supposed to live so she could make sure she never went near him.
As she walked away his steps easily reached her. Something about them was off. Almost too heavy. It had to just be this stupid dream. Dreams had never stuck with her in her waking life. Plenty of things were going to be different that she’d never once considered. She pointedly ignored the steps closing in behind her and continued on her path. She’d learn what she needed and move on. Just like always.
“Hey,” he said as he grabbed her shoulder. “Do you know what’s going on? All of this looks weird.”
“What do you mean?” she asked. Mira bit her tongue as soon as the words left her. She didn’t want to interact with him. If he knew her voice he could know her, although her hair color made that easy enough to accomplish. “This should be normal to you.”
“I mean, I guess I recognize some stuff, but it looks nothing like where I live.” The carefree smile on his face annoyed her. She sighed, there was no point in ignoring it then. This world must have been built on mostly her knowledge. She’d heard of that before, but it was rare. It usually meant one person’s dream world was stronger than the other’s. A sign that often made people separate.
“This is the dream world.” That was all he should need to know. Mira started to walk away again. This man would just get in her way.
“What do you mean the dream world?” He ran up next to her, he was taller. A lot taller, maybe a full inch. That only made her more annoyed.
“Don’t you know anything?” She glared up at him, but he just looked confused. It actually hurt her to see it. She knew sometimes no one knew about the dreams, but it would mean he’d been on his own for a long time. It would mean his parents were gone. “It’s the world where you’re supposed to meet your perfect partner. I guess humans killed your parents before they told you about it?”
“Humans killed them…” The man tilted his head and his brow furrowed.
That told her enough. As sad as it was, there was no reason to hang around. No one in her area had been seen or hurt by humans in a long time. He’d have to be somewhere far from her. Far enough she could end this once he’d recovered from the memories she’d forced to the front.
Mira left him to think. She just had to be sure. Eventually she’d find one of the trees he probably lived in and know where he was from. Then they could be done with this and both go back to their normal lives. His weirdly heavy steps followed her. She tried to stop herself from grinding her teeth.
“What?!” she shouted. He’d already followed her for a while without saying anything. She spun around, honestly shocked to see his eyes bright. She just brought up what killed his parents, how was he happy?
“Uh… well I still don’t get it, but humans didn’t kill my parents,” he laughed. How could he laugh? He didn’t know anything about this and he was just laughing. “I’m Corus, nice to meet you.”
Mira turned away. She wasn’t interested in this anymore. She had to find a sign of who and where this man was so she could make sure they never met. The strange footsteps caught up to her and he kept pace. The idea to start sprinting grew tempting.
“Ok, not getting your name that’s fine,” he said. She glared at him, but kept walking. “Well why did you think humans would kill my parents? I mean you said it like you aren’t human yourself.”
“Oh nature preserve me, you’re one of those aren’t you?” she sighed. This made everything worse. He’d probably avoid accepting they didn’t work until she admitted humans weren’t bad.
“One of who?”
“One of the borrowers who think humans aren’t that bad.” She stormed forward letting him jog to keep up. She was sick of this. “Let me guess next you’re going to tell me how just because they’re bigger than us doesn’t mean we aren’t the same?”
“I, uh-”
“Oh and that I should just give them a chance, humans won’t hurt us. Of course they won’t, they won’t keep us as toys or pets either. Or sell us to whoever pays the most.”
“You… you really think all humans would do that?”
“Please, I know the borrowers like you love to pretend humans would treat us as equals.” She walked up to a table leg that had some handholds in it. One deep breath and she started climbing. “I’ve been caught more than once. The human I live with now is planning to either get pest control or weird furry snake things to try and catch the ‘mouse’ in her walls.”
“Did you try to let her know that you’re a person? That you aren’t a mouse?”
Mira stayed quiet and focused on climbing for a few minutes. Sure it definitely wouldn’t end badly for her to go reveal herself and all of their kind to a human that she’s watched happily kill bugs and small animals. It would just be a death sentence. Of course the universe would think someone like this belongs with her.
“You haven’t, have you? Why don’t you at least try?” he called. That pissed her off. She turned back, the ground wasn’t too far. Jumping, she rolled to protect herself then stood and glared at Corus. Stomping up to him she pressed a finger into his chest, he was sturdier than she expected.
“Right I should go walk up and say ‘Hi I live in your walls and take things from you to survive please don’t kill me or tell anyone about me!’ That would totally work,” she seethed. Corus looked away from her. “Oh or better yet, I’ll just walk right under her foot so she can kill me first!”
Corus didn’t say anything and Mira took the chance to walk away. His steps never sounded behind her. It wasn’t long before she was opening her eyes and staring at her empty walls. Hopefully tonight her dream would be empty, or at least someone easier to deal with.
That day she snuck out while the human she lived with ranted on the phone. She was always talking about the man who lived next door. The house Mira would visit next. The things her current human said made her nervous about that house. A history of anger issues, broken walls, things like that. She’d probably have to move again before long.
She managed to gather some crumbs of food the woman missed. This human had grown too cautious. She would need to focus on gathering tools and making her current food last. Maybe a month before she’d move, a month of ever changing dreams she hoped. In an attempt to avoid Corus she stayed later than usual breaking into boxes that the human had secured. Mira had enough experience to break through mouse protections when given enough time. Today she had time.
Hours later she meandered into her home. Just as empty and lonely. She dropped her full bag on the floor and fell into her fabrics. If he was an outdoor borrower he should be awake during the day, she should have a peaceful rest now. Closing her eyes she wondered if the next person would at least show her something interesting.
“Hey!” Mira jumped as she heard Corus’s voice next to her. Snapping her eyes open she found the man standing over her, a worried look on his face. “I was worried you wouldn’t show up. I mean, I don’t really know how these dreams work, but I figured you were supposed to come back.”
“Ugh,” she groaned as she sat up. “Why are you still asleep? Aren’t you an outdoor borrower, you should be out getting supplies this early in the day.”
“Oh, uh… I go out at night?” The question at the end made her curious. How would she know what he does? It didn’t matter somehow she’d get him to go away. She’d make the universe leave her on her own, just like she wanted.
“Whatever.”
Mira started on her trek through the dreamscape. There was no telling what strange thing she’d find now. Maybe a sign of where this human loving borrower was from. His steps followed her, still weirdly heavy. It had to be from how sturdy he felt when she poked him. Everyone she grew up with had a light build, almost like a bird.
“I think we got off on the wrong foot yesterday,” he said. Mira rolled her eyes. “Like I said, I’m Corus. I’m pretty new to this whole dream thing we have here, but I would like to get to know you.”
“Why?” she growled. This was the part that she was dreading. The thing everyone talked about. The two would be able to have kids, it was what the others had been excited about her dreams to reveal. The ways her strange looks could contribute to the next generation. It was her job to keep their kind alive. It was her duty. She hated it.
“Well, you seem interesting and kind of beautiful if I’m being honest. The way you climbed that table leg was pretty amazing and-” She turned around and stopped just before hitting his face.
“One more false flattery to get me to like you and I will hit you.” The smile he gave her actually made her heart pound.
“I wasn’t lying, but I will stop. I just… think you’d be fun to talk to.”
“Well we talked there you go. Leave me alone.”
Mira spun on her heel. This match of hers was insane so all she could do was hope this place was secretly interesting. She walked up to a table and started to climb. It was nice, free climbing like this. There were never safe times like this in the real world. She’d need her hook for the speed. She was pulled from her thoughts by a loud crash below her.
Mira looked down to find Corus lying on his back. His eyes were blown wide. As much as she knew nothing here could kill her, a fall like that would still hurt. She climbed down and crouched over him, staring into his eyes.
“You make that look easy,” he said. Another eye roll, of course it was easy.
“Because it is easy. Not my fault you’re out of practice.”
“Can you teach me?”
Mira studied him for a moment, “Climb halfway on your own and I’ll teach you how to climb like me.”
“Deal!”
Corus jumped to his feet startling her. She barely caught herself from falling backwards. He gave her a smirk, but immediately started trying to climb. He could barely make it off the ground before he was struggling. She felt bad for him. Climbing was important for most borrowers. Even ones that had heavier bones. He fell a lot that night, but he did make it halfway.
“I did it!” he cheered. Mira watched as he looked down, seeing the exact moment his grip loosened. He plummeted like a stone to the ground she stood on. It shook the world like a human falling more than a borrower. Another strange effect of dreams. Making their world notice them.
“Fine, tomorrow I’ll help you learn how to climb. Even someone built like you should know the basics,” she sighed. He groaned for a bit before giving her a glare. It wasn’t real, she could already see the smile.
“What do you mean built like me? I mean I do work out, but...” He even wiggled his eyebrows. She had to bite back a laugh at his actions.
Mira crouched and poked his chest. “You’re firmer. It’s the best way to say it. Like you have heavier bones. It would make climbing more of a struggle.”
Corus reached out and grabbed her arm. A part of her panicked, she didn’t want that. He let go quickly, putting the same hand across his eyes. “I guess you’re right. You feel like a bird.”
Mira stood and walked away before he could do more. Before he could make her pulse race again. Maybe Corus wasn’t all that bad. He’d move on though and so would she. She would never trust humans and he’d likely bring it up again soon. They wouldn’t work.
“Mira,” Kaya’s voice echoed in her mind. Corus faded almost instantly as she blinked away the dream meeting reality again. She was a little sad to see it end. “Sorry I couldn’t come by on your birthday!”
“Kaya?” Mira asked. She rubbed her eyes, finding them walking into her empty home. They had something behind their back. “You know it’s fine. All that was special about the day was that the dreams might start….” She narrowed her eyes. “What are you hiding?”
They looked surprised for a second before pulling a strange object from behind them. It was small enough they could hold it in two hands and made of metal. On it was an image of a butterfly with wings the color of Mira’s hair. She had no words to explain how looking at it felt. Butterflies were always special to her, their freedom was something to envy.
“I found it on my way back and I thought of you. It would be perfect to put on a wall here,” they whispered. Mira nodded, but a slam from the human of the house reminded her what was happening soon.
“Hang on to it for me?” Mira smiled, Kaya’s face dropped. They knew what it meant when she said that.
“You’re moving again? It’s only been a few months here.”
“This human was more observant, I’ll try the house next door this time. It’s a human man living alone. All the others said those are the best to borrow from.”
“You could come back…”
Mira shook her head, that wasn’t an option. “Kaya we both know that won’t work. My hair puts too much risk on everyone if I’m outside. I made the choice to leave and I’m standing by it. Let’s just talk about something else, ok?”
Kaya frowned, but Mira could see them bouncing on their feet. Something happened that they wanted to talk about. Something exciting, but somehow not enough to make their way here in the middle of the night. She waited, crossing her arms and egging them on. Finally they relented, setting the metal butterfly down.
“Fine!” they sighed. She smirked.
Kaya sat on the fabric bed Mira hadn’t left yet. They leaned their head on her shoulder for a few minutes. The two of them took in the period of silence. It wasn’t often that the human wasn’t making some crazy noise. Kaya wrapped their arms around one of Mira’s. Times like this were the ones that made Mira actually consider returning.
“My dreams started,” they finally whispered. Mira smiled, Kaya wanted their dreams. To find a partner that would love who they were. A long time ago the two talked about if they dreamt of each other. The plan had always been to take Kaya’s squirrel and run. Escape the expectations it would place on them. Together they could have children and neither wanted the life that would lock them in.
“Sounds like good news then?” she asked. Kaya’s weight against her grew followed by the slightest of nods. “What are they like?”
“He’s weird. His name is Zeke and he had no idea about the dreams. He didn’t recognize anything around us either, it was mostly from me I think. His hair was a reddish color. I think he’s a mole borrower.”
“What’s that?”
“According to some of the scout records there were other types of borrowers before. Ones that only lived on the ground and if they wanted to go higher they used stairs like humans. The ones around us left generations ago. Everyone thinks they died out.”
“I guess that’s what he is too…” Mira spoke without thinking. Kaya jumped up, absolutely vibrating while staring into her eyes.
“Wait! Does that mean your dreams started too?”
Mira fell back on the fabric, Kaya falling back with her. The two sat in the silence until she finally spoke up. Letting them know about Corus and what the dreams had been. Kaya shared their own experiences. A world made of only wood and trees that towered more than the ones they grew up under. Apparently the large blocks of wood were from Zeke’s memories. That made Mira wonder what was from Corus in their dream.
The two shared stories the entire day. The human woman started to slam things and make noise prompting Kaya to leave. Mira was left alone in the hole she almost considered a home. It had been promising at first. A distracted human woman with plenty of things easy to break into. If only the woman hadn’t been so terrified, spiteful might be the better term, towards small creatures. Then this could have worked. Mira fell asleep to loud bangs and muffled shouts of ‘that damn mouse was back’.
The shaking world pulled Mira awake. The place she started was exactly where she’d left earlier. A quick swivel of her head revealed Corus slowly standing while rubbing his back. It dawned on her that the world shakes because he saw it that way. His falls were tremendous and world shattering for someone who never tried to climb before. She started to wish she had her hook, the aid would be an easier way to teach him.
Corus looked around, stopping with his eyes on her. He started to run towards her the second she moved. The only person that was ever excited to see her was Kaya, Corus was a nice change. He had his arms out, pausing just before reaching her. It made her smile how the sturdy borrower shifted to awkwardly hold his arms at his sides instead.
“Mira,” he smiled. Once he knew how to climb this set up would be gone. He’d go back to pushing humans and she’d eventually threaten him if he didn’t accept they wouldn’t work. When he moved to point at her she grew defensive. “What’s that? A fishing hook?”
Mira jumped and looked at her hip. There was her hook, pristine like when she found it on her first trip outside with her father. She pulled it from its place beside her, inspecting it and finding none of the nicks it had received over the years. “It’s my hook…”
“You have a hook? What for?” Normally the question would annoy her, but she was lost in the quality. There was no sign of the human who almost caught her with a mouse trap or the one who tried to step on her. The strange bend from the time a human managed to slam a door as she was trying to climb the door frame. None of the horrors she faced existed here…
“It’s for climbing.” Her voice echoed in the silence. It was wrong, but somehow felt right. She was safe here. There was no need to be afraid right now. “It would be easier to learn on this…”
“Is something wrong?” His voice was soft and kind. A hand on her shoulder that didn’t make her angry. A kind feeling spread from him. The hook in her hands flashed for a second, showing the truth of reality. Tears almost fell from her eyes.
“It’s perfect, like when I found it. Nothing that the humans have done shows on it here. Like they never existed… like we’re safe.”
Corus pulled her against him. The strange solid build of his was comforting. She was starting not to hate these dreams. To hate the man tied to her. Maybe she could accept this. He leaned his head against her shoulder, “You’ll always be safe with me. I won’t let anything hurt you, even other humans.”
She pushed him away. That phrasing reminded her why this would never work. He thought they were humans, that those giants would see borrowers the same way. She walked over to the table he’d been climbing, spun her hook, and threw it to the top. A few tugs and she knew it was sturdy. A much better way to teach him.
“Let’s just get to climbing,” she said.
Corus didn’t say anything else. He walked right up to her rope, holding it between two hands. Instead of climbing he stared at it with awe. She didn’t say anything for a few minutes, opting to clear her throat to remind him. He looked at her with a faint blush before holding it in a way that she thought was for climbing.
“That’s completely wrong,” she said. Mira took the rope from him, holding it how she was taught. Hands about one grip apart and the excess between her legs. “Use your core to climb, don’t rely on your arms.”
Mira climbed a few steps up before jumping down. Corus had shining eyes as he stared at her. Ignoring the way her heart skipped she forced the rope in his hands. It took a few tries to get him to understand the way to hold it. His climbing form would slip after a bit. It was actually a fun experience.
When Mira woke up to her empty room she was lonely. The hook left in the corner was painful to look at. She wanted to miss all the things that had happened. Forget them and only remember the night with Corus. That wasn’t something she could do. She spent the day in the walls, closing up paths and gathering water. She would need to be ready to leave as soon as possible.
The next few nights were the same. Teaching Corus the best forms and watching him struggle. He was improving and the bright smile sent her way was making her melt. A few times her cheeks even grew warm. She liked these dreams. It made the reality of her situation bearable. She wouldn’t mind these being all she ever had with him too, in fact she’d prefer it.
One night it changed. He was able to climb all the way on the rope. She followed up quickly, getting pulled into another hug. Her whole body felt warm under his touch. A warmth she quickly realized she liked. When he let go she had no idea what to say. He sat on the edge of the table and she joined him.
“Mira,” he said. She hummed in response. “Is this really what you see all the time? It’s amazing.”
“I’ve seen something better,” she smiled.
No one ever believed her about this. He looked at her with bright eyes. After what happened with the hook she decided to see if she could do it again. A wish for this view to be what she remembered from the top of a tree. In seconds her memory painted the world. A beautiful thing she never thought she’d see again.
“Where is this?”
The awe in his voice matched the awe she felt. That day she felt huge. The human houses were small to her, she couldn’t even see her home. It had taken over a day, but she made it to the top of a tree. Something she was always told she made up, something she would never regret.
“The top of a tree, I managed to climb it once,” she smiled.
“How?” Corus was staring at her with amazement. Not only did he believe her, he was seeing what she saw. Something no borrower could ever create or understand. Something that made humans and animals feel like they weren’t a threat.
“My colony had these sharp bits of metal. I stole some and some fabric we’d collected. I wrapped it around my hands and feet with the metal sticking out.”
As she spoke the image around them changed. A much younger version of herself sitting in the tall grass. A cloak hiding the lavender color of her hair. The cloak was too big for her back then. The younger her proudly made her climbing gear. Standing with pride as she started her climb. The ones on her feet attached near her toes. The younger Mira sticking the metal into bark and starting her climb.
“It took a long time, maybe more than a day. I rested on branches as I reached them.” The image changed to her climbing and hiding among branches. “I was going to prove I could do it. That I could avoid any predators that might see me too. I’ve never forgotten the feeling when I made it. For just a little while I thought… I thought the world was made for us too.”
“It is made for you. For both of us. You don’t have to climb a tree to see that. Not every human would hurt you or trap you if they saw you.”
Mira climbed to her feet. The moment had passed and she was done with this. Quickly grabbing her hook she started to wrap it up to place it back on her hip. Corus would never stop having faith in humans, she needed this to stop. All her life she never wanted this and now… now she had someone she almost wanted to meet who thought humans were worth it.
“Mira why won’t you even consider-”
“Consider what!” She turned as she shouted, her hook changing to the damaged version she knew. “That I wasn’t almost crushed in a door that bent my hook!? That I wasn’t almost crushed by a mouse trap, with this being all that saved me. That a human didn’t try to step on me once.”
“None of them knew what you were! They all thought you were some random animal if you only told them-”
“If I told them and they still didn't kill me then what? They try to protect me.” She spat the words, storming forward in her anger. Corus backed away as she neared him. Her body was on fire, her heart racing. The fear that he never learned was strong in her heart. “Then they trap me ‘for my own good’. Keep me caged or in a box where I can do nothing for myself anymore. I have to rely on them taking care of me and choosing to let me have things. Rely on a human’s whims to keep me alive!”
Another step towards him caused a change. He fell when he stepped back. She ran forward in fear as he plummeted towards the ground. On her knees she saw him slam into the ground. A crater formed around him with cracks in the ground leading out for dozens of feet. The world shook the worst she’d ever felt. Mira was thrown from the perch she had. All she could do was close her eyes and brace for impact.
The ground didn’t meet her. Instead she landed in something that felt like a hand. She opened her eyes to see Corus staring at her, his arms beneath her. The feeling of a hand faded as soon as she saw him. He pulled her close to his chest. She could hear his racing heart as loudly as her own. His face was coming closer. Just before he reached her she was back in reality.
That day she was nervous. All her trips had her taking extra precautions. Ones that she wouldn’t normally use. The feeling of a hand beneath her body. She knew it well. There were more times she’d been grabbed than she’d like to admit. Although this time it actually felt… safe. She stayed out well into the next day grabbing even crumbs that she thought could be useful.
There were a number of times she paused and watched the human woman. Steps that were heavy and shook the world if they came close. A sneer if she noticed any trace of Mira’s existence. This human would certainly kill her, but she’d met one that wanted to trap her too. Honestly she had no idea which fate was worse.
Eventually she returned home. She collapsed into her fabrics to stare at the ‘ceiling’. The emptiness of the walls that she lived in. Corus wouldn’t be there this time, she knew it. It had been long enough for him to sleep and wake up. She had gone almost a week without sleep before. Two days was nothing. Slowly she closed her eyes hoping to wake up from a dreamless sleep. The world would realize she belonged alone.
Mira’s next feeling was someone petting her head. It wasn’t Kaya. The hand felt wrong. She opened her eyes, squeaking when she met Corus’s blue eyes. He was smiling softly at her. She tried to squirm away, but he grabbed her arm. His grip was strong enough she felt nervous trying to escape it. Like he’d break her… like a human had grabbed her.
“Mira, please… I’m sorry,” he whispered.  She released the tension in her body slightly. “I get it, I went too far. I won’t try to change your mind about humans. I just… don’t want to stop seeing you.”
“What if I never want to meet you?” she asked. Her voice came out quietly, but still managed to echo in their shared dream. Corus let her arm go and returned to petting her head. Every inch of her wanted to run, but the smallest part wanted his answer. Hoped it would be one that let this continue.
“Then we never meet.”
Mira turned away from him, “I don’t believe you.”
“Mira. You’re beautiful, smart, independent, funny, honestly I’d list things forever, but I’m pretty sure you’d hit me.” That made her smile, he wasn’t exactly wrong. She’d already threatened it once. “If we never meet I don’t care. I just want this to keep going. I want to keep knowing you. To learn about all the things you’ve seen in your life.”
“I… think I’d be ok with that.”
Corus pulled her into a tight hug. The firm body around her was reassuring. She didn’t believe that he would be happy with this forever. Someday he’d push for more. If he took the leap she’d let it happen, but only if they agreed not to stay near humans. She wouldn’t risk his hope getting him killed or trapped. A part of her didn’t want to see it shattered.
The entire night they sat together like that. Just Corus holding her tightly. She enjoyed hearing his heart, something about it was different. Louder. So much of what made him strange made her happy too. By the time she woke up she was starting to miss the feeling of his arms. That night she’d let him know she was moving the next one, it wouldn’t be good for him to worry.
“Mira!” Kaya’s voice made her jump. She quickly stood and grabbed one of her bags, just in case. They ran in with a smile and she relaxed immediately. “Zeke and I are meeting!”
“What?” she gasped. A smile spread on her face as she pulled Kaya into a hug. They wanted this and she wanted it for them. “That’s amazing! When?”
“Tomorrow night. I showed him the park where I met my squirrel and he recognized it. He lives nearby. We picked the tree where my squirrel lived to meet. It’s going to be late so no humans will be around just in case.”
Mira smiled and did everything she could to hide her worry. Kaya wouldn’t be able to help her move. That should be fine, they never helped before. Something this time made her think they should. She couldn’t explain it. Maybe she was just more interested in making sure she’d survive.
“Go, that’s a two day trip even with your squirrel. You can’t be late. Bring him to meet me ok?” she grinned. Kaya nodded and ran from her home. She waited a few minutes before heading out to get the last of the supplies she would need.
That day was harder. The human was wandering around doing more than normal. It made her nervous. It seemed like it would be useful to hold off her move until Kaya came back. Just a few days wouldn’t make a change. The furry snakes weren’t arriving yet. A ringing phone gave her the chance to steal some of the paper towels the woman had left out for once.
“Oh that’s great to hear! My new babies will be here the day after tomorrow!” the human woman shouted. Mira paled. She didn’t have a choice left.
The rest of the day Mira ran between her paths. She was closing them and making sure to fill them so those snake things couldn’t use them. She wouldn’t risk those things escaping if this woman loved them. The sun was rising by the time she collapsed in her fabrics. She’d wake up just before sunset and gather the last of her things. For now she could try to enjoy her dreams.
As soon as her eyes closed she was opening them again. Corus was there smiling at her. She slowly sat up before offering her own smile. Things started a bit normally. Today he tried free climbing again, he fell a lot. On one of his later falls she decided to lie down next to him and stare at the sky. It was empty like the one she always saw.
“I wish I could see the stars more,” she whispered. In seconds the sky changed, stars like she’d never seen them covered it. She sat up on her elbows to look at Corus. “Did you do that?”
“I was practicing while I waited for you this time,” he grinned. Her heart skipped. “I want to show you things I see like you show me.”
Mira fell back and stared at the strange sky. “I’m moving tonight. I won’t be asleep for at least two days. Maybe more.”
“Where are you moving? Can you show me?” A part of her didn’t want to. If she did he could find her, but at the same time these stars proved he couldn’t be close by.
“I’ll try.” She tried to picture the two human houses. The one she was leaving and the one she was aiming for. Corus sat up when the houses finished forming. “I’m going from the white one to the blue one.”
“I live near you.” His voice was quiet. She sat up to look at him, fear in her heart.
“Are you going to look for me?” He shook his head. “Thank you. I’d probably run if you did.”
“You’d get away no problem. I still can’t climb like you. Maybe I’d set a trap for you.” He laughed and she laughed along.
“It would have to be a good trap.”
“Only the best would have a chance to catch you. I can already tell.” He stared warmly at her. She felt her body heat up. “Maybe I’ll give it a shot.”
“If it’s good enough I might stick around to talk to you.” A smirk played on her lips. Corus looked excited, he might actually try. The thought didn’t terrify her like she thought it would. “I’m nervous about this move.”
“Why?” Corus scooted closer, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. Mira leaned against him, he was the only one she told about her nerves. The only one safe to tell.
“The woman I live with talks about the man who lives in the house I’m going to.” The dreams responded to her. The human woman she knew and a shadowy figure of the man she’d begun to imagine. She saw his legs once and that was all that was defined in the dream. “She says he replaced an older couple. That the couple would talk about him. He breaks things and gets angry. If he finds me…”
“Maybe he’s not the type of human to hurt someone for no reason.” Corus’s arm around her tightened. A part of her wanted to be angry, but this wasn’t like before. He sounded different, like he needed her to believe him. “Maybe this human lives there because he got his anger under control and the couple were proud of him.”
“It almost sounds like you know him. Do you already live in his walls?” She laughed because that had to be wrong. If he was there she wouldn’t know what to do.
“No, I don’t live in his walls.”
Something was wrong. She couldn’t explain it. The way he spoke about this human and how he answered. It all made something in her scared, scared that he had something important she should know. Something he hadn’t told her, that he purposely hid from her. She’d worry about that later, for now she knew it was time to wake up. To pack and start on her move.
“I have to go,” she muttered. He put a hand on her cheek and turned her to face him. He leaned his forehead against her.
“I’ll be sleeping in case you need me. Tell me if you’re in trouble. I’ll find you, I promise. I already promised you’d be safe if I was around you,” he said. The conviction in his voice added to her fear.
“I promise.”
Corus leaned closer once the whisper left her. He pressed his lips against hers. The kiss was sweet and warm. Something that made her feel like she was at the top of the tree again. Her entire body burned and she didn’t want it to end. Mira closed her eyes, but that ended the dream. She was left cold and alone. That didn’t matter, she was used to being alone. Now she had to move.
Mira packed the blanket her parents gave her first. The food she gathered went in the bag with that. Her hook was set on her hip and the water she collected on the other side. She took one last look around, noticing Kaya had left the metal butterfly. Mira knew it was stupid to take it. She had to travel light and Kaya would stop here first. She couldn’t just ignore it though. She grabbed one of the fabrics she planned to abandon. Wrapped the butterfly with it then tied it around her waist.
With one last look at her barren home she ducked out. She kicked out the supports from her home leading to the rest of the house. If and when Kaya came back there would be no risk from the furry snakes. She went to the entrance she had to the outside world. There she waited until the sun set. Once it was low she pulled the hood of her cloak over her head and dipped outside.
Once outside Mira watched for the moon to rise over the trees. She planned her route while waiting. There were two dangerous positions she had to worry about. The empty patch of grass from the woman’s home to a bush. Then the bush to the man’s house. The bush would be the easy part. Mira took a deep breath, each section would have dangers of course. The emptiness was the worst. Predators and humans would see her.
The moon peeked over the trees and she ran. At this time humans were scarce. The woman didn’t go out and the predators didn’t like the houses. She just had to make it to the bush. It felt like hours she spent running to reach her goal, the real time was hard to determine. All she knew was when the moon had passed the highest point in the sky she was at the bush. Mira smiled, the easy part was reached.
Ducking under low leaves she entered the darkness of the bush. She rushed forward, itching to return to her dreams. She wanted an answer to what Corus hid. The safety each night was promising. Most importantly the warmth of knowing there was someone beside her. Someone she showed her worst to and still wanted more of her. She wanted to show her home, her friends, her life and learn about him.
Those thoughts died as she knocked a branch. She backed away, but something caught her. She tried to pull away and failed. Her whole body was stuck. She managed to slip off her pack, but that didn’t free her arm. She looked around and saw the danger she was in. A spider’s web. Fear surged through her, she tried to grab her hook, but the fabric holding the butterfly had locked it against her back… against the web. Each twitch she made told the spider she was there. She wouldn’t survive tonight. She did the only thing she could think of, try to sleep and see Corus one last time.
“Mira? Are you ok? Why are you here!?” his worried voice made tears fall from her eyes. He wrapped his arms around her. The frantic and loud beat of his heart was reassuring. She knew death would be next to her when she woke up.
“Corus… I think this is the last time you’ll see me,” she cried. His strangely sturdy arms tightened. It made her cry more. “I-I got caught in a web. I can’t reach my hook because of something I wrapped around my waist. I can’t get away. It’ll find me by morning.”
Corus pulled back and held her face between his hands. A focused look, determined and promising, met her. “Show me where you are. I’ll find you. A spider isn’t going to kill you.”
She shook her head, “Corus it’ll kill you too. I can’t do that to you. I… Can’t we stay like this until I’m gone.”
“Mira. I’m begging you to trust me. I will save you, show me where you are.”
Mira closed her eyes, angry he wouldn’t give her this. At the same time he’d see she was dead by the time he arrived. She focused on the bush between the houses. She opened her eyes as the dream changed. Corus pulled her against him again, petting her head like before. It made her cry, honestly and truly cry. She was terrified that she’d die and so would Corus by trying to save her.
“I see the houses, but where are you Mira?” he asked. Stern, serious, and nothing like she knew. It almost echoed like a human’s. She didn’t want him to die, but the hope he’d succeed won. Corus had pressed her face to his chest, she couldn’t see the change. His heartbeat told her he knew. “The bush? I see it. I can see you.”
Corus pulled her from his hold and cupped her face in his hands. The blue eyes she had started to love looked terrified. It wasn’t a fear she knew. He brought her close and kissed her. It was deep, hungry, and final. He was afraid of this ending, but it didn’t seem like he expected death to be why.
“I’ll save you, just wait for me.”
That was all she heard before she was thrust back into her cruel reality. The spider had finally noticed her. She saw the massive fanged creature’s eyes assessing her. Corus would be too late. No borrower could reach her in time. To make matters worse the steps of a human started to shake the web. Mira gave up her fake acceptance and started to struggle. She’d rather die to a spider than in the hand of a human.
That determination didn’t matter. The spider grew cautious because of the steps. She wasn’t a meal worth it. The human steps didn’t stop until a shadow covered what little light entered through the bush leaves. Now Corus would find the remains of a web and destroyed bush because of a human. He might even try to find her in one of the houses. He would die or be trapped all because of her.
The bush above her was pulled apart. She struggled desperately to pull herself free. She grabbed her stuck arm, but the web beneath it caught her hand. She wasn’t making this any better. The spider retreated as the bush continued to be destroyed.
Finally a shadowed figure sat above her. It felt like the dream she created of the man from the house. How did he even know she was here? Had Corus sold her out? Was that the secret she could see in his eyes? Did he live as this man’s pet?!
Hands descended into the bush. She tried again to get herself free, but the human hands surrounded her. Fingers curled around her until she was trapped in towering trunks of flesh. Despite her struggles the human pulled her free in an instant. Mira wasn’t the type to give up, biting at the skin around her. Anything to get free.
The hand was lifted up and up and up until it pressed her against a chest. It felt familiar somehow. Kind of like Corus, the loud heartbeat beneath the skin reminded her of him too. She’d never forgive him for selling her out. What if Kaya met the same fate? Zeke might be just as bad. Mira forced her tears back. Betrayal stung, but she would never let a human see her cry.
“I made it,” the human whispered. The voice was loud, masculine, and familiar. So familiar she couldn’t stop the gasp that escaped her. The efforts she put out to escape dwindled. She wasn’t sold out… she gave the human exactly where she was. “Please tell me I didn’t hurt you and that’s why you stopped fighting me.”
Mira wouldn’t give the human an answer. No humans deserved anything from her, least of all the one who tricked her. The hand around her shifted so she was trapped against a palm and his chest. All she could do was wait. The human would drop her in a cage under the guise of kindness. Claiming to love her or something and keep her safe.
The slamming door made her jump. He hadn’t spoken since he changed his hold. She hated the racing heartbeat. The warmth around her. How it made her remember that single time she felt a palm around her in the dream… and how she liked it. If she hadn’t brought the butterfly she would have walked into a trap. It would have been better that way, she’d have escape routes prepared then.
“I might as well show you the trap I left before you run,” his voice shook through her bones. In a way it felt nice, relaxing, but she couldn’t allow that. She couldn’t let those nights in the dream paint her reality. This was a human and she… she was trapped.
The fingers around her returned to press her against the palm. She bit at them halfheartedly. Her teeth weren’t sharp enough to damage human skin. If she’d left the butterfly her hook would be free, she could fight. The hand flew through the air and she was let out. It took a few precious seconds to regain her balance. The seconds the human needed to trap her with his arms and crouch down to face her.
Mira was body to face with the massive being now. Blue eyes, black hair, pale skin, and all the things that she knew meant the borrower from her dreams. The things that meant Corus. It was horrible. She’d sold herself to a human. In fear and panic she gave in, told him her exact location, and now she was trapped. She reached to the fabric she tied, letting the butterfly fall and pulling free her hook. She brandished it the way she was taught, prepared for his hand to come back.
“I guess my secret’s out now,” he laughed. It was an awkward and loud sound. It made her glare at him, she wanted to stomp up and yell at him. This was something he should have said in the beginning. That should have never happened anyway. This was how borrowers met their perfect partner. It couldn’t be a human. The universe made a mistake for her, she was just begging it hadn’t done the same to Kaya. “So like the first night. Right I get it. I still mean it, we don’t have to ever see each other again Mira.”
“Oh so you’ll do me the kindness and kill me right now?” she sneered. Corus actually recoiled at the venom in her voice. She wasn’t expecting it either. He sighed, his breath washing over her. It made her shiver, he was built differently because he was human.
“Of course not.” The massive eyes closed, she could see subtle changes. He was annoyed. Angry even. She’d see the anger she was worried about. “I know what you think about humans. What you think about me. I don’t care, I wouldn’t have gone near you if you weren’t in danger Mira. I do want to know you, show you things I think you haven’t seen before. I’ll walk away as soon as I show you that trap we joked about.”
“Do you even need it? You win I can’t get away from a human. Go ahead lock me in a cage for my protection, whatever it is you plan to do to me. I’ll-”
“Mira!”
Corus’s voice was loud. It almost hurt her ears. She stumbled back, dropping her hook. She wasn’t expecting that. He was a human. She had to be careful or she’d die. If he trapped her or something she could get away. Corus stared at her, deflating quickly. He let out another sigh that managed to knock her off her feet. She was terrified.
“I’m sorry. I just… Mira look, please,” Corus pointed to the right. She was terrified to refuse, turning to see a pile of food. “I spent one of the days you weren’t around exploring. I got as much as I could together.”
Corus moved the food away and she saw something completely unexpected. A small room that even had a ceiling. Inside were the fabrics she had imagined hanging. A leaf that he must have pulled from a tree outside. A small bed and a table. A pile of thumbtacks and other bobbles she’d collected before. All things in her room from the dream. All things she was planning to abandon.
Almost on autopilot she walked even closer. There she could see the ceiling. The stars she didn’t recognize were on it. They were glowing just a little. It was breathtaking.
“What…?” she whispered. Corus moved to stand. She was forced to stare up at the tall human, the form that terrified her. The fear had started to fade away as his warm eyes followed her. The same eyes that watched her climb. The eyes that were terrified to lose her, but wanted to save her. The eyes… the eyes that she was horrified to never see again.
“I had been putting it together for a while. Honestly I thought you weren’t real, but if I was wrong and we ever met I wanted you to have a room here. When you told me you were moving here I did something else too.”
She watched the human walk over to one of the cabinets. With a strength that no borrower could ever have he moved it back, only a little. Now she could see a crudely formed entrance to the wall, one that would quickly be filled to avoid suspicion. It made her smile.
“I made an entrance, or I tried. I don’t think it looks as good as the ones in that dream world,” he smiled at her. He was treating her like a person. Just the day before she’d woken up so cold and alone. A human was here offering her something she never imagined. A promise of safety and love. A promise that she was starting to hope Kaya shared. “I’ll leave now. Do what you have to. I guess, I’ll see you in our dreams. If you’ll keep going, I don’t know what makes them work. I hope you’ll still be there.”
Mira watched him turn. Felt the heavy step of the human. The familiar step. It was the first time he walked away from her. She hated it.
“Wait!” she called. All the instincts she had told her to stop. All the things she experienced were screaming in her mind. Yet she walked forward and met those hopeful eyes. She wanted to feel the palm holding her when she wasn’t afraid. Play with his hair, hear his heartbeat. Feel a kiss from those giant lips against her small body. The universe might not have been wrong. “Where does my room go?”
Corus smiled, “I thought maybe my room. There’s other places if you’d rather not be that close.”
“Let’s start there… if that’s ok?” The beaming smile melted away the ice of fear that coated her. Corus wanted to learn about her world, he wasn’t a dangerous human. He was right, they weren’t all bad.
He walked closer to her and carefully lifted her room from the counter. It made her heart pound in a way she didn’t fully understand. There was a moment of hesitation before he set a hand down next to her. He had an idea of how small it felt, he knew what she’d thought. He already wanted to be better. She climbed on, feeling safe in the palm.
As he walked she spoke up, “You don’t happen to know a human named Zeke with reddish hair do you?”
“My best friend’s name is that. I’m pretty sure his hair would be considered red too,” he smiled. The walk to his room was short, he was rushing. He set the room down next to his massive bed. His hand was moved next to his heart as he sat down. “Why do you ask?”
“I think you should contact him… Something tells me you two have something in common you didn’t know.”
Corus raised her to his eyes and gave her a suspicious look. She made a face, she wouldn’t say more now. Suddenly his eyes changed, a hungry look that made her shiver. He moved his hand across from his lips and brought her within a twitch. She touched his lips hoping that told him enough.
It was more than enough for him. He rushed forward pressing her fragile body against his warm, sturdy palm. His lips were plush and soft. The kiss was delicate and hungry. She kissed back and it only made him press harder against her. She couldn’t breathe and she didn’t care. A human held her, loved her, and was kissing her. The fear and bitterness she held was torn away by his actions. Tomorrow she might change, but tonight he saved her and she probably loved him.
Corus pulled away, warm loving eyes staring at her. She felt her body heat up under his gaze. Instead of setting her down he moved to lie on his bed. She was placed on his pillow with one of his massive palms pressing on her like a blanket. She stared at him, unsure what to do.
“Just for tonight,” he whispered. Each word made her shiver as it ran through her bones. “Can I be selfish and hold you here? Tomorrow and every day after will be your choice.”
Mira made a move she never thought she would. Gently she kissed a spot she knew she’d bitten before, then nipped it again. She laughed when he jumped, she wasn’t sure if he jumped because he saw or felt her.
“I’ll let you tonight, but I might want it tomorrow too,” she smiled. Corus leaned forward and rested his forehead against her. “I’m glad you didn’t give up on me.”
“I won’t ever give up on you. Even if tomorrow you decide to leave and hate me. I’ll keep waiting in those dreams for you to give me a chance there at least.”
“Even if I leave… I wouldn’t want our dreams to end.”

War of Scars Pt. 3
Word Count- 2.6k
Warnings- Swearing, mentions of injury
Four days have passed since I last argued with Keiko. I know she has come by the med cabin a few times daily, but Alastair has turned her back around each time. I hear him tell her the same thing each time,
“Give her some time to cool off and regain her strength. Then you can come to bother her again.”
At first, Keiko had tried to get by him, but after the 4th time, she just wordlessly leaves once he tells her to go. A small part of me feels bad for turning away from her. Then I remember all the lies she told me and that small ounce of sadness contorts back to anger.
A small silver lining these past few days though has been my nurse, or guardian angel as he calls himself, Alastair. Even though he’s the same age as me and has the personality of a rabid ferret, he has been very attentive to me and my healing process. Always checking up on me in the morning and even coming in to keep me company throughout the rest of the day. Most of the time it’s him talking to me about the latest gossip at camp or which cabins to stay clear of. Most of the time I stare at the window by my bed while he does this, barely listening to what he says. He doesn’t seem to notice, or if he has he doesn’t seem to care, since he still finds a way to talk my ear off with everything and nothing at the same time.
Right now Alastair is trying to ease my bandaged arm into the grey sweatshirt, one of his friends lent him. As Alastair said he would never be caught dead in such a dreary color as grey.
“I don’t know why we can’t just stay here for a little longer,” I look up to Alastair whose eyebrows are scrunched together in concentration as he eases the rest of the sweatshirt over my shoulders, “We can just stay here and I’ll even let you tell me all about the boy in Cabin 5 who pranked Aphrodite’s cabin or whatever.”
Alastair rolls his blue eyes dusts invisible dirt off my shoulders and brushes my hair away from my face.
“Nope. No can do. Chiron needs to speak with you, and besides you’re all healed so you’ll be moving into the Hermes cabin and out of here.”
I look over to the bed I’ve been sleeping in for the past few weeks and a sense of sadness fills me at the thought.
“Do I have to move into another cabin? Can’t I stay here for another night?”
Alastair sends me a small smile and moves his hand to the small of my back as he guides me to the front door of the med cabin. I halt at the realization that I haven’t been outside of this cabin since the Chimera attack. I start to blink heavily as my vision starts to blur and my breathing gets faster.
“Woah, woah just breathe bro! You can’t seriously like this cabin that much,” Alastair rubs his hand up and down my right shoulder soothingly as he tries to joke with me.
“Don’t worry about it ok? We can take as long as you need, and if you’re worried about everyone staring at you, don’t, ok. Most people will be staring at me because I have that effect on people,” He sends me a smirk, “and those who are staring at you just are curious about the girl who survived Zeus’ lightning. After a few days though someone new will enter camp and they’ll be in the spotlight.”
I nod my head slowly as I stand there for a moment and take a deep breath. I open my eyes and send a small nod at Alastair telling him I’m ok. I’m totally not, but he doesn’t need to worry about me anymore. Alastair grasps the handle of the door and lets me walk outside first.
The bright light is the first thing that enters my vision, momentarily stopping me. I bring my hands up to rub my eyes and continue my steps onto the wooden porch. I glance around to see woods surrounding the med cabin and groups of kids of all ages wearing orange t-shirts running around. None of them seem to notice me though as they all seem to be in their worlds, conversing with one another.
“Chiron said he would be at the archery field so it shouldn’t be that far of a walk from here.”
Alastair says as he passes me, and hops down the steps as if he is high on life, or high on something else. This wouldn’t surprise me since no one can be as happy-go-lucky as this kid has been since the moment I met him.
Alastair and I make our way down a path that a few other kids who appear to be a bit younger than us are also walking on. A bright green forest surrounds us as birds chirp in the air and a light breeze flows through my hair. Alastair walks beside me with a pep in his step and a tune coming from his lips. Every person that’s passed us so far has expressed their excitement to see him which he reciprocates. But, as soon as the other people notice me their attention turns to the light bruises on my face and my covered arm. That excitement quickly dissipates as they walk away, whispering to each other.
After more whispers and passing glances with the orange-shirted strangers Alastair and I make it to a clearing that opens up to a field filled with kids and archery equipment. As I stare at the field filled with kids the building anxiety I’ve felt begins to burst at the seams.
“Ah, Y/N it’s nice to see you walking around.”
A deep voice comes from behind Alastair and I. I turn around and my mouth drops open as I stare at the man-horse thing in front of us.
“You didn’t tell her what I was did you.”
The man-horse thing smiles down at me after he questions Alastair. I keep staring at him with my mouth open though.
“Oops, I did not,” Alastair turns to me and hisses my name at me as he puts his hand under my chin and pushes up to close my mouth, “Close your mouth girl, damn.”
“It’s quite alright Alastair. I have had much more intense reactions from new campers,” Horse-Man says to him as he glances back at me, “It’s nice to meet you Y/N. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. I hope Alastair has been suitable company for you in your time of healing.”
I hear a gasp of surprise and hurt come from Alastair as he starts going on about how he is insulted Chiron would think anything bad of his company. I’m not too focused on Alastair though as I try to make sense of the Man-horse in front of me. No. Not Man-horse, Chiron. His name is Chiron.
“I’m Chiron, the activities director here at camp, I am also a centaur which you’ve noticed. I’ve asked Alastair to bring you here so I can give you a personal tour of Camp myself,” Chiron turns to Alastair, “Thank you Alastair for your help. You are free to go.”
I quickly glance at Alastair when I realize the closest thing I have to a friend here at camp is leaving me. Wait, no. Not a friend. He was only with me to help me heal. Now that I’m healed he’ll go back to helping other broken and bruised kids.
I turn back around, not facing him, and watch some of the kids run around.
“Hey don’t get all moody on me again, Brat.”
Alastair flicks me behind my ear to get my attention.
“I’ll come to check on you when you’re all settled into the Hermes cabin. My friend lives there too so I’ll make sure he gives you the best attention.”
I look into Alastair's eyes waiting to see some sort of pity or annoyance at the idea of visiting me, but I see nothing but a smile in his eyes.
“Ya, Ok,” I send him a small nod.

“And this is the mess hall, campers come here for arts and crafts and other weekly activities put on by the cabins.”
I glance at the tall building in front of me that has kids coming and going. Chiron has shown me most of the camp by now, explaining each building and function. We’ve passed many campers, almost all of who’ve given me the same mix of pity and wariness that I’d seen from the campers earlier today with Alastair.
Chiron leads me down a narrow path towards to cabins as a question enters my mind about something Alastair had said.
“Alastair mentioned something about me surviving Zeus’ lightning bolt,” I strain my neck to glance up at Chiron who’s stopped walking, “What did he mean by that?”
I watch as a flurry of emotions passes through Chiron’s face as he looks at me.
“We don’t if what happened to you was Zeus’ doing. It is just a rumor that some of the campers have been talking about. You shouldn’t worry too much about it.”
A frown makes its way onto my face at Chiron’s dismissive tone as he keeps walking, clearly done with the question.
“There are 12 cabins in Camp Half-Blood. Three of which no one resides in. As you have not been claimed by your Godly parent, you’ll be staying in Cabin Eleven, Hermes’ cabin.”
I lightly jog to catch up with Chiron, trying not to agitate the stitches on my back.
“What do you mean, claimed?”
Chiron glances down at me with a solemn look.
“Claiming is when your godly mother or father claims you as their own. This can be done by completing a quest or by simply participating in a game of Capture the Flag.”
I nod at what he says and continue my walk.
“You’re not going to ask anything else about claiming?”
I shrug at Chiron’s question and shake my head.
“Why should I care?”
This question gains Chiron’s attention.
“Most campers question when they’re going to get claimed by their godly parent.”
I stare at Chiron for a moment as a sense of agitation and anger forms in the bottom of my gut.
“Why would I care about being claimed by a God that never even cared to let me know they existed? One who let me get attacked by some creature, and one who let me be raised by people I thought were my family, but were really just strangers!”
Chiron stares at me with raised eyebrows.
“Y/N, you shouldn’t talk like that. The gods don’t like to be talked badly about.”
That anger has now been built into something big at hearing Chiron’s words.
“I don’t give a flying fuck. If my parent has a problem with the way I talk about them, then they can get off their ass and tell me themselves.”
I spit out at Chiron as I start stomping away from him. After a moment Chiron walks up to me.
“You don’t know where you’re going, do you?”
I huff out in annoyance and throw my hands up, “No!”
I tense up at the feeling of a hand on my shoulder, the same shoulder that is now heavily scarred. Chiron must notice my apprehension as he takes his hand away.
“I know all of this can be a lot, especially after everything you went through. It’s got to be a lot to deal with and you’re anger is understandable. Just try to channel that energy into something production.”
I roll my eyes at his words, “Ya, like what?”
“Whatever interest you have, any hobbies. Something that makes you feel like the old you again.”
I let Chiron’s words hang in the air as we approach a big wooden cabin, with many rowdy kids coming through the huge oak doors.
Chiron leads me up the steps and opens the main door for me to walk through. I was expecting to see something impressive and god-like to go with Greek mythology but all I’m met with is a normal summer camp cabin filled with bunkbeds and kids of all ages.
“Attention campers,” Chiron yells from beside me gaining the cabin's attention and eliciting a groan to escape my lips, “This is Y/N Thomas, she’s had a hard past few weeks here at camp and I want all of you to show her kindness.”
I watch as many of the campers give me weary or questionable looks, whilst others look as if my presence is a mere annoyance but after a moment they all turn around and go back to their previous conversations.
“We’re low on beds at the moment so we have a sleeping bag set up with your things in the corner of the room,” Chiron goes to take his leave but he turns to face me once more, “And Y/N, if you have any more questions please feel free to come to find me. And remember what I said about finding an outlet.”
I stand silently as I watch Chiron exit the cabin, leaving me standing in the entryway by myself.
“Is it comfortable?”
A deep voice comes from behind me and my eyebrows scrunch at the odd question. I turn around to make eye contact with a pair of deep brown eyes. The owner of the brown eyes is a boy who appears to be a little older than me. Brown curly hair hangs over his forehead, in a way that many couldn’t pull off without looking like they’d need a haircut, but somehow he makes it work. The boy has long eyelashes and full pink lips. The last thing that catches my attention is the scar that starts from the bottom of his right eye and stops right above his lips. Lips that have now started to curve into a small smirk. Fuck. Im staring.
“What did you just ask me?”
The boy’s smirk turns into a small smile as he gestures to my hoodie.
“I asked if it is comfortable, you’re sweatshirt,” The boy stops and shrugs his shoulders, “Well technically my sweatshirt.”
I glance down at the grey sweatshirt that covers my torso and a wave of embarrassment flows through me.
“You’re Alastair’s friend?”
I ask him even though I already know the answer.
“Ya, Alastair’s a buddy of mine. He asked to borrow a sweatshirt for one of his patients.”
I stare at the boy for a moment before reaching for the bottom of the sweatshirt and go to lift it realizing this kid probably wants his clothes back and doesn’t want a stranger wearing it. Dread fills me though stopping my movement as I realize that I’m just wearing a tank top underneath this and my bandage would be on show if I were to take the sweatshirt off.
“Hey, don’t worry about giving it back,” The boy takes the bottom of the sweatshirt out of my hands and lets it drop back into place, “You keep it as long as you need.”
I stare at the boy and take a fast step away from him.
“Don’t touch me! I don’t even know who you are.”
The boy stares at me for a moment with an inquisitive look as his eyes shift over my face and then he takes a small step backwards.
“Okay… No touching, got it. My bad,” He stares at me again and smiles, “Luke, my name is Luke Castellan. Counselor of Cabin Eleven. And it is nice to meet you, Y/N Thomas. Welcome to Camp Half-Blood.”
