Writer Goal Ask List

🥸 - Does anyone in IRL know you write fanfic or original fiction? If not, do you plan on telling anyone this year?

Absolutely! I have two IRL friends that know the extent of what I write (smut and all), and my dad and two siblings knows I write fanfic (they don't need to know about the smut tho).

I can't imagine anyone else in my life I'd be really comfortable telling, but there's a whole year to make new connections and discover tons about others! So who knows :)

🦷 - Is there a chapter, scene, or WIP you're dreading to write (but is necessary to your plot)? Share a snippet or tell us about it!

GOD yes. Both of my children, Magnolia and SBH, are stuck in the "a bit of time needs to pass before the next story arc" phase. I'm never sure how to write "a few days passed etc" without getting too dull nor making it seem like I'm timeskipping too suddenly or something. Then I start the next story arc and think "shit, was that too quick? should there have been more filler?" I'm never satisfied 😔

🥳- How are you going to celebrate when you achieve one of your writing goals?

Take a second to BREATHE, probably, because goddamn these longfics are eating me alive (even though I really love them!!)

And probably dance a lot when I turn the status of either of them to "Completed". That green checkmark brings me so much joy 😭

Then start on the next piece! Probably pull another draft to the forefront and get started, or start up requests or something. I'll be quite happy to just reach that point!
