I was thinking about Phee's first line just now- "Better late than dead, I always say."

And, man, I really hope that was foreshadowing. Like, maybe Techs just running a little late. He was separated from his squad, after all. And and, they've traveled a lot in that time.....maybe he's just running a bit behind. Especially without his goggles........

What if they access the memories on Tech’s camera-goggles and just find random, domestic clips of the batch that he thought would be important to him. Moments like Omega passing tests after studying with flying colors. Moments like Echo trying mantel mix. Moments like Wrecker having fun with Omega or Gonky. Moments like Hunter telling him “well done.” Moments like him winning that race. Maybe even moments of Crosshair. Along with a recording of his fall, perhaps with some last words.

Just some thoughts.

Ok can I just talk about all the parallels between Tech and this assassin clone (I don’t know what to call him but you all know who I’m talking about)

The biggest one to me is “You had your chance to join us…you chose the wrong side” maybe this isn’t about “us” as in an assassin clone but “us” as in the bad batch; Tech died on a mission to find out more about where Crosshair was and maybe in his reconditioning process he channels that into hatred and blames Crosshair for all that’s happened; maybe it is his way of grieving the fact that Crosshair is now with them again and he (Tech) cannot be

The limp: when the assassin clone walls, he subtly favors a leg in extraction (which could be from the fact that he was buried in the beginning of the episode) but it could be a nod to when Tech broke his femur

He is very matter-of-fact and official when arguing which is a very Tech things to do (aka “they are both” when wolffe says the dead clones are clones and not insurgents) (aka “the girl IS alive”) etc. and Tech would always interrupt to clarify and “technically…” (I mean his name IS tech..)

He doesn’t care much for orders (goes after omega even after they are supposed to seal off the exit point and go around) which is definitely a trait he could have gotten from being a bad batcher

When the assassin in drowning Crosshair he paused for a moment right before he is stunned and that happens right when Crosshair grabs his arm softly instead of flailing as he’s losing strength and oxygen and the assassin slows and sits up a little, breathing heavily, but is then shot.

I will be making another post soon about all the parallels of the winter soldier and Tech (under the assumption the asssasin IS in fact Tech)

SPOILERS FOR BB 3X08

I've been seeing people talk about the new episode, when it comes to Phee and her line about Tech.....I feel some people are misinterpreting it a bit? Or at least singling her out.

Yes, sure, the name drop was a bit weird. But it was no more weird than the other tech name drops.

The air surrounding Techs death has been weird and dismissive in some ways by the show as a whole. All of the characters have been acting like it didn't happen, until they drop a line and give a pout and then carry on with the conversation. That's been something that *all* the characters have done, not just Phee. Singling her out feels unfair.

And when it comes to what her line was, the context. I don't think she was acting like she was all of a sudden incapable without Tech. I think it was more acknowledging the fact that they probably wouldn't have had to turn to Phee to find that information if Tech was still alive. Tech was well versed in these subjects, I half expected him to pop out with the answer when they first asked about the M-count. So I don't think she was doing anything other than acknowledging Techs abilities. Because they don't have that anymore. They don't have someone with a well of knowledge that can give them an answer then and there or with a couple of taps on his data pad. They have to go to other people, use other resources.

With her tone about the whole thing though? We don't know much about Phee. Different people grieve in different ways. I'm sure if she had shown more sadness at it people would've also had something to say. And it's not necessarily like she lost a long term lover, so, while there was chemistry, the reaction may not be what you might expect from her. And I mean....they were in the middle of an important conversation and she was clearly pressed for time anyways.

#But please #stop singling characters out. The reaction to Techs death has been weird.....across the board.#I don't know if they're not showing much grieving because they're building up to a reveal #or if it was just general crappy writing #But whatever the reason #everyone is acting weird #And it might be a hot take #but I thought Phees line felt pretty normal in the whole context #the bad batch #the bad batch spoilers #the bad batch tech #the bad batch phee #star wars tech #star wars #star wars the bad batch #tbb tech #sw tbb #tbb spoilers #tbb
