i think survivor's story is absolutely better than fallen order and its genuinely impressive that it managed to win me over with cal/merrin but im just finishing up my 100% now and god do i miss the fallen order planets. i get what they were trying to do with a single main world and its impressive but it gets so Fucking boring . everyone HATED zeffo for exactly this reason and its a fraction of the size of koboh.. idk it kinda sucks to have 100% finished every other planet except for like one or two scans and know that all i have to look forward to is backtracking the lucrehulk for the fourth time

New Star Wars theory: every planet is the size of Wales.
A planet only has one biome? That's because it's only the size of Wales. Coruscant is fully urbanised? Wasn't so hard if it's only the size of Wales. Every planet has a maximum of like four cities? Just like Wales.

And for our next stop on this spacefolding tour of the galaxy, we have a fascinating terrestrial planet to show you. If you look through your viewing ports you will see the blue and green planet third from their star known as “soil” or “dirt”. Its surface is primarily made up on vast oceans and several large continents. Its distance from its star create the perfect environment for complicated climate systems that allow countless biomes of highly adapted species to survive.
Its primary intelligent inhabitants are a primitive social species of omnivores that use their large numbers to create structures and societies that are enormous compared to their body size. They have adapted ways to live and thrive on almost all of the landmasses through their many different harsh biomes. They even domesticate other animals to provide sources of food and other goods. Their social structures vary from colony to colony, but frequently involve rulers who alone bear the future of their society’s future.
Unfortunately, our studies on these creatures predict that they will likely never reach the intergalactic stage of development, as they have spent their entire species existence fighting endless wars with each other. Unending violence on an unfathomable scale has been ongoing for as long as anyone can tell, often over petty things like resources and the whims of their monarchs and rulers. Violence is so core to their species that they have adapted and honed countless weapons and tactics over generations upon generations of them who have been raised only to fight and die in battle after battle like their mothers before them.
This fascinating species is known as “ants”

Probably lane, but the origin story of Uihoys blue feather? Uihoy boring Vic’tao with stories meant to teach him a lesson about his temper and impatience. I wonder what Uihoy was like in his younger days!!
An Elder and His War Stories
Pairings: Uihoy (Male Yautja) x Vic'tao (Male Yautja)
Word Count: 1559
Summary: Uihoy recounts the time he acquired the blue feather he usual sports. This shows he's not always the confident, sure footed male he would like everyone to think he is.
Author Note: Definity not lame! I promise you. Question's like these make me think, force me to worldbuilding and I love it. I have an app called Campfire that helps me keep everything in line.

Uihoy isn’t the mighty, always sure footed Yautja you all know about. The male has had his fair share of falls and accidents.
How else do you think he lost a finger and a half on his right hand? Not from a hunt. At least not in the way you are all thinking.
As his feather, that’s a fun story to dive into. It’s a recent feather he acquired too. On a solo hunt without either of his mates.
Perched in the high trees of Yautja Prime, Uihoy had returned to his home planet. It was a once in a blue moon situation for him to step upon these grounds again. Not like he left on bad terms. But, his home was with his mates. He held no emotional connection here anymore. Any of his brothers and sisters are spread among the planet and stars. None of them were close to each other. Nothing to kept him tethered here.
The reason the purple Yautja found himself here was for a hunt. Food was low in stock on the ship. For some reason, he was craving Boor that could only be found in three rivers close to his home village.
This leads him back to where he once grew up over seven hundred years ago. Usual for a Yautja to live to that age, even more so. Anything beyond a thousand is where things become unlikely. This is a species of hunters. Death is always high. Which, Uihoy shrugged about. Many of his siblings are gone, living with Cetanu in his hunting grounds. Even both of his parents are gone. Sire perishing to a hunt some hundred years ago. Dam losing her life to childbirth.
At this point, he had found himself perched high in the tallest tree in the area, enjoying the calm jungle. A biome designed, evolved not to let the weak survive.
His eyes fell close while he opened his other senses. The scent of everything that filled the area with life filled his lungs. Uihoy let his upper mandibles pull up, tongue flicking out between lethal teeth.
Nostalgia struck him in the gut.
All the memories of him learning how not to die first before learning the ways of a hunter. They flashed behind his closed eyelids, a reminder of his younger, dumb self. He’s had to master more than usual. It was something he was born filled with. Not like a few of siblings and those of the same year as him.
But in that tree, close to home, was an abode of something else.
A screeching cry jolted him from his thoughts. His eyes snapped open just in time to see a Iot-oci dive bombing him. The size of the bird was terrifying to say in the least. Being around seven and half feet tall himself, it was about little taller than his waist.
Before he knew it, his hand slipped from the slimmed trunk. Uihoy had no time to react. The Iot-oci was coming straight at him, bright colors and all. A male. It flared its wings right before it struck him with short talons to his chest.
Uihoy fell back with a yelp at the sudden shift of weight. His hands freely clawed through the air but found nothing to latch onto. The Iot-oci soared over him and took up into the sky. Probably to make the job was done.
Air rushed past him for a short moment until his back hit a thin branch. Said stick bent under his weight and didn’t catch him. Uihoy fell again. His body weight was shifted so he could twist around and face the incoming ground. One of his- “you fell?” Vic’tao rumbled, voice monotone. His exterior body language read as lax, unconcerned after hearing of his mate’s fall.
A deadpanned look fell over Uihoy’s features, directed at the yellow Yautja standing across the counter from him. “Yes, I fell. Damned thing came out of nowhere,” Uihoy argued for his pride.
Vic’tao chuffed a laugh and tried to stifle it with only working partially. “I’ve heard their wing beats are loud. How could you miss such a sound?” the younger male teased his older mate. Vic’tao has never stepped foot on Yautja Prime in all his years. He only knows of Iot-oci from pictures and videos.
The latter scoffed and pushed off of the counter he once leaned on. His arms were held out at his sides. “I was having a nostalgic moment!” Uihoy defended himself then rest his elbows back on the counter again. “Now, as I was saying-“
He reached out, flailing about for a branch to snatched. A few unlucky swipes later, Uihoy was able to dig his claws into a thick branch. The jolt of weight nearly pulled his arm out of its socket but he snarled and held on. Another screeching cry met his ears. Mighty curses fell from his jaw. Uihoy scrambled back onto the new perch and whipped his head up.
Through the suns piercing rays, Uihoy spotted the blue form of the Iot-oci diving for him once more. Once a few seconds to spare, he leaped to the side, a branch down.
Higher pitched calls scrambled his brain for a moment. He looked to his left only to be greeted with the sight of a large nest filled with five newly hatched Iot-oci. Paya, fuck him sideways! He couldn’t catch a break while back in his own nest grounds.
First thing that came to his mind was to desolate the place as quickly as possible. The Iot-oci will do its damned hardest to slaught Uihoy for being in the same tree as its offspring, let alone the same branch.
Claws tore at his back, knocking forward and back down to the ground. Uihoy cursed out as he slammed into a thicker branch towards the base of the tree. All of the air in his lungs was forcefully shoved, leaving him heaving for nitrogen. His nails dug into the bark two seconds too late. Once more, he fell his way back to the ground.
Face first, Uihoy slammed into the leaf covered jungle. A grunt surpassed his vocal cords. Desperately, he wanted nothing more than to lay there in defeat but the swooshing through the humid air prevented him the luxury. He rolled to the side and used the momentum to get to his feet and face the Iot-oci.
It had landed at the spot he once was and flared it large wings. Uihoy took a step back, it followed with two of its own to keep up. But he wasn’t going to kill it. It’s only protecting its nest from him. Not a worthy kill. It was against the honor code as well.
Carefully, he took mindful steps backwards until he felt a safe enough distance away from the tree. The Iot-oci followed him all the way but he read the way it grew weary of the gap spanning between it and its nest.
This was what Uihoy was wanting.
The Iot-oci will turn away to protect it nest. Males were smaller than females. They were the protector of the nest while the dam left to retrieve food and mark their territory. With the dam nowhere near, the male took back to the skies and head back to its nest. Uihoy breathed a sigh of relief and checked himself over for injuries.
Nothing was broken, bones at least. His skin had been sliced by the short but deadly claws of the Iot-oci. Small enough he could forget about.
As the purple male turned to leave, a flash of blue caught his attention. He gazed at the spot the Iot-oci once stood to find it left behind a feather. A short hum sounded from his vocal cords. Uihoy leaned over and claimed the feather as his now. He tucked it away in his belt for later and begun his trek further in towards one of the rivers for Boor.
“And that’s how I got my blue feather,” Uihoy finished and gave a minute bow to the male before him.
Vic’tao still looked bored then sat up in his high stool chair. His hands came together in a slow slap, mockingly congratulating Uihoy for his story. “Such a wonderful story, old man.”
“Oh, hush, young blood. You know nothing of the dangers. You’re mothership bred compared to a home world bred. You lived life with little danger.” The words sounded harsh, but it was just playful jester between the two of them.
“When the elder can’t even defend himself from a Iot-oci because he was ‘distracted’.” Vic’tao used his fingers to create quotation marks around the last word. One of his upper mandibles was lifted as he stared at his mate across him.
Uihoy groaned and leaned back. The counter used as an anchor point so he doesn’t fall back. “I told you it was nostalgic! I was reminiscing my time in my youth.” He reached across the counter to tap at Uihoy’s hand. “You should remember the time before your bones creak like mine.”
This got a huff from Vic’tao. Said male stood up and walked around the counter to stand next to his mate. As the taller of the two, he wrapped his arms around Uihoy’s torso. Vic’tao nuzzled his head into Uihoy’s cheek. “Mine already do.”

Theret
This is a place that was originally in a personal project of mine that I abandoned, but that I decided to bring back to life by putting it into star wars! I don't have the strenght to draw it, so for now I'll just use images to illustrate hoe this planet looks. Enjoy!
Theret is the birth place of Baheera Lee (OC), this is a planet located in the Mid Rim Territories, and is part of the Chommel sector. It's also part of the Republic, and is represented in the Senate by Senator and Princess, Madiha Akel.
It's an incredibly brightly colored planet, whose mountains, grass lands and beaches are composed by a multitude of natural colours.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because of this biome, the human population of the planet also enjoys to surround themselves of these colors in their clothing and cities.
The cities and villages are, in fact, made of the same rocks as the mountains, and the glass of the windows are made from the colored sand, creating stunning rainbow cities that can effortlessly blend themselves with the landscape.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The people here also wear clothing and veils dyed with the natural colours of the planet, and their Tanneries are the most famous and proficient of the whole Sector.
In fact the most expensives gowns are often dyed here, like the clothing of various senators, politicians, rich merchants and even some of the gowns of the various Queens of Naboo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their homes are full of art of any form. From the stained glass of the windows, to the colored bricks of the walls, from the rainbow baskets to the painted vases, from the intricate embroidery of the veils to the jewelry that decorate their hands, necks and heads.
It's a planet full of joy and life, whose people are considered to be some of the happiest of the galaxy.
The planet suffered an huge attack during the Clone Wars, but the people managed to fight back and have a series of victories even before the Republic could intervene to help them.
A Battalion was then stationed there for the remain of the war, and they collaborated with the already existing, but small, military of the planet, to protect the population from the various attacks the CIS made even after their defeat.
The majority of the clones of the Battalion, by being in such close contact with the people of Theret, started to adopt their colorful lifestyle, by painting their armors in far more colors than any other clones in the whole GAR, which also had the advantage of helping them camouflage themselves on the battlefield.

Hiya, have some episode 8 (What Are Little Girls Made Of) of Star Trek TOS thoughts:
- I dunno this sounds like… A TRAP! (I never thought I’d actually quote Star Wars and I’m quite frankly ashamed of myself)
- The most terrifying thing of all.. A DRAMA STUDENT (I am referring to Brown)
- wait- who? Who was that? No no go back why’d he sneak away like that? stop sneaking around you creepy ass fu- oh he killed a redshirt
- okay but Browns fit is kinda slaying (I’m a drama student)
- why does Brown kinda sound like the bad guy from cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2
- Kirk is so fucking dramatic.. bbygirl you did not need to roll out of danger
- HE GOT YOINKED!
- damned outpost scientists
- what in the German expressionism is this creature
- please don’t tell me Andrea is an android t- oh she admitted to it
- “do you think I could love a machine?” “Did you?” CHRISTINE IS NOT HAPPY
- sooo Korby is an android, ain’t he?
- Spain without the a
- why don’t they bring this machine back into the new series? It spins and it’s funny (put it in lower decks or smt)
- Kirk clone count: 2
- what in the blocky play mobile kind of food is that
- okay I love chapel “I’d rather you push me off the same precipice that the crewman fell from”
- why do I always like the science officers (my best friend is a biomed student so that may explain it…)
- Kirk is holding a dick rock… thank you for coming to my ted talk
- goddamn those boots are slutty
- DONT YELL AT SPOCK (he knows his boyfriend would never)
- I have a feeling Kirk just really hated Ruk
- I like that both the science officers have to go through the “my loved one died and now has been cloned” trauma
- I’d like to see something where the person grieving their loved one makes a robot of them and is originally just happy with the pieces that they’ve gathered of this person… but then it goes horribly wrong
- POOR NURSE CHAPEL HOLY SHIT
- like imagine seeing the person you love again only for it to be a pale imitation that could only want to be as passionate or loving or caring as the person you knew and then for the last image of them you see is them kissing another woman
- SPOCK SMILING AT KIRK! I REPEAT SPOCK IS SMILING AT KIRK
Okie dokie that’s pretty much it. Really love Christine Chapel now so…
I don’t think I remember episode 7 (Mudd’s Women) enough to have anything to say about it. I disliked the episode, if I ever have reason to watch it again I’ll maybe write something but for now I’m skipping it. Thanks :)

My predictions for Avatar 3
So I hav some plot ideas in my head for what’s gonna happen in avatar 3 based on theories and sneak peaks we got.
So we all know that Quaritch and the RDA are gonna team up with the Ash Clan so things are gonna go down.
And we know that Spider is gonna have a very important role, definitely after the whole bonding with Quaritch then leaving him and is definitely now living with the Sully’s, he’s gonna be caught in some conflict, as in found family conflict.
Like Quaritch would want to have his father and son like relationship with Spider again, and Jake is probably gonna treat Spider like an equal but Spider might not be accepting of that since, well, he was neglected by him, did not really give a fuck about him, like when he got captured he didn’t worry about him, he only worried if he was gonna spill any information (which he would never do), and in the comics he upright told him to turn himself over to the RDA cause he couldn’t keep up while they were being shot at, he didn’t think about whether he was gonna live or not by turning himself in, and before that when Spider was gonna leave his “foster family” when the RDA returned Jake let his family take him when he didn’t want to and when Kiri wanted Spider stay with him. So Spider ain’t gonna see Jake as a possible father figure no more.
Anyway, also from a spoilers image it seems he’ll go threw some body horror kind of thing with the help of Kiri, cause we see him having a kuru, so maybe he might not get an avatar, but maybe he’ll be some hybrid na’vi kind of thing probably towards the end of the movie.
Now for theories on the Ash Clan, we know fire is gonna symbolic for them, and they are not gonna be nice, and we already know there leader Varang, we don’t know Nah other Ash Clan na’vi characters, but I’m thinking there are gonna be some na’vi who will be by Varang’s side. I’m also thinking that maybe, just maybe, cause it’s a bit of a clique, that at least one Ash Clan na’vi will not like what is happening or realize what there doing is wrong so they’ll switch sides and help out the good guys. I’m thinking this na’vi might be around the same age as the kids or an adult who might be a warrior or smt.
And we’re also gonna be introduced to new biomes and na’vi who have adapted to those biomes, not just the Ash na’vi but also desert na’vi who are known as the “wind traders” who will most likely be a nomadic kind of clan that go around and trade. We have already seen a nomadic clans in the avatar franchise, such as the Sarentu and Zeswa in Frontiers of Pandora.
So I’m thinking the desert na’vi will have a darker skin tone, like dark blue/purple, and will have strips that will resemble big cats that live out in a desert, and this will be a uncommon idea but I’m thinking they’ll have eyelashes similar to a camel, so just listen, camels have long eyelashes to protect them from sand, so the desert na’vi might have adapted to have that same ability.
I also like to think they’ll have this clothing were they cover there heads to also protect from sand (since maybe the eyelashes might not be so long and aren’t as resilient in a sand storm) and have lose clothes to be able to move fast and stay cool in the hot environment. The clothes might be beige with an away of color patterns.
And for getting around I’m thinking they have these windsurfing boards/boats since they are called the windtraders they might use wind and possibly sandstorms to there advantage, so they might be like the Sandbenders from Atla and the Fremen from Dune. And like the Zeswa I’m thinking they’ll have this bind with a giant creature that helps carry there stuff as they travel, like something of a Bantha form Star Wars but even bigger, and maybe some predator that lives in the sand (like a sad worm) and the desert na’vi use some tool to attract it (like from Dune).
And we’re getting introduced to a new Na’vi character, Peylak, we have no idea what his roles gonna be but from the only image we have it seems he’s a good guy, and I’m thinking he’ll be a desert na’vi or maybe Ash clan, or Metkayina, we’ll have to wait and see.
And another new biome we’ll be introduced to is Pandoras arctic biome, ice na’vi will come into the picture. We don’t know when they’ll be seen but I hope it’s soon.
My theory for what they’ll look like it is some pale skin maybe, not white like those AI images, but more like a pale like blue, or I’ve seen some art with them with purple skin that is cool and they might have that, or a combination of the both. And they’ll wear more covered clothing to protect them from the cold, but they might not wear much because they might of adapted to resist the cold. The clothes will most definitely be similar to Artic Indigenous people clothing, or be like people from the ice age maybe.
The animals that might appear I igumane would be these woolly mammoth type creatures they’ll use to get around and penguin like creatures that have two sets of flippers.
Lo’ak has been confirmed to be the next narrator at the beginning of the movie and the movie might focus on him, so we get to see him how he is now after Neteyam’s death, and will see his relationship with Tsireya play out more. He might get some kind of character growth of some kind.
Now for the movies plot, I’m thinking it will be like this:
Lo’ak narrates what has happened after the events of The Way of Water, we see scenes of moments that play through of what happened, like maybe the Metkayina joining Jakes resistance, Ao’nung’s tattoo ceremony, Ronal’s baby birth/first breath, Spider adapting to the Metkayina tribe.
Then maybe it will skip to Quaritch and Lyle back at Bridehead or some part of Pandora, if at Bridgehead they might one in some real trouble with Ardmor after not only getting Jake, but also loosing a Seadragon and their whole recom team. If it’s some part of Pandora, it’s probably cause they have no idea what to do and this might be the moment they might discovered the Ash Clan.
Then cut back to the Sully’s maybe there planning on what might happen and how to defend the oceans now.
Then some other stuff happens, and maybe some scene with Spider and Kiri, then some Metkayina from another clan rush to tell Jake that some new threat is here which would be the Ash na’vi and he decides to investigate, Lo’ak and Spider maybe come along and possibly Kiri and Tuk just tags along.
Then the investigation leads to the Ash na’vi taking Kiri, Lo’ak and Tuk maybe as hostages, and Jake and Spider find Quaritch and Lyle and they might have some awkward child custody moment with Spider then they decided a short truce just to get Jake’s kids back.
Then it results in them getting capture then Quaritch and Lyle joining the Ash Clan and Lo’ak gets rescued by Jake and Spider, but Kiri and Tuk are still held as hostages then the movie escalated with a big battle or smt at the end.
Idk, but maybe Jake finding Quaritch in the woods might not happen, instead he might have already joined the Ash Clan.
Anyway that’s all I got for this, this entirely small essay, yea 😅

Freefalling From Great Heights - A Discussion & Analysis
Hey guys. So, I lied about getting off socials LOL I really need to go full on film theory here and talk about the fall. I do want to preface though and say that I am not a woman of science (I’m an art girlie), therefore I won’t be able to make any sort of proper calculations. Without further ado, I’m going to break down the whole fall and discuss how Tech could’ve and probably did survive.
First and foremost, I want to go back and take a look at the most clear shot given to viewers of the height between the tram system and the perceived ground level. In this picture, we get a brief glimpse from Wrecker’s POV of how far down it is from the trams.
Tumblr media
While it looks quite high, considering they are practically in the clouds, it is important to note the amount of foliage this planet has; a vast amount large trees, specifically tall pine trees.
Tumblr media
These types of trees are not uncommon in biomes that include bodies of water. Consider the images below.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While it is not definitive, it can be safe to assume that there could have been a stream or body of water below in that valley. However, even if this was not the case, the trees are large enough that they can dampen a fall, even if it is from a great height. This leads me to my next point:
How high of a fall can humans survive?
An NCBI article covers the case of a rock climber who had fallen from a total of 300 feet and survived. Though she suffered many severe injuries, she was able to recover after extensive medical care. According to this article, the way in which a person falls is imperative to survival. In particular, if a person is falling vertically, they can survive an average fall height of 23 feet and 7 inches (7.2 meters) with minor to moderate injury. Survivable injuries have a threshold of around 20-25 feet. Yet the rock climber was able to survive at even greater heights. That being said, according to an article by Arnold & Atkin Trial Lawyers, 20 feet and below can still prove to be fatal. Moreover, fatal falls usually are between 21 and 40 feet. Considering all the information thus far, it would seem that Tech is exceptionally fucked. But stay with me folks, I’m not done cooking yet.
While it is not common, humans have, in fact, survived free falls at extreme heights. Take for example Vesna Vulović, a Serbian flight attendant who holds the Guinness world record for surviving the highest freefall without a parachute: 33,330 feet (10,160 meters). She was in a coma for days and spent several months hospitalized. She suffered a fractured skull, three broken vertebrae, broken legs, broken ribs, and a fractured pelvis, leaving her temporarily paralyzed from the waist down. Despite all of this, she made a nearly complete recovery, only continuing to walk with a limp.
In another case, Nicholas Alkemade, a British tail gunner of the Royal Air Force during World War II, survived a freefall of 18,000 feet (5, 490 meters). His fall was broken by pine trees and a soft snow cover on the ground.
While the first case can be safely considered as a miracle, it's the second case that is interesting. The pilot survived a freefall from a height he should’ve died from. Yet, due to the large trees and the snow on the floor, his fall was cushioned and allowed for him to survive.
Now, taking what we discussed and applying it to the Star Wars universe, the chances of Tech surviving is definitely in our favour. Firstly, we know there is a lot of foliage (bushes, grass, etc.), and there are also massive trees. But we must remember that this isn’t just some random, unprepared person that is falling. This is Tech, a highly skilled, highly intelligent, and well equipped clone trooper. It is also important to mention that he is wearing a helmet and a chest plate, which provides protection to critical body parts. Knowing him, Tech could have very well put his gear to use and used a grappling hook to attach to a tree and create momentum from his fall to swing onto the ground. He could have also gotten into the falling tram and found a way to cushion his fall. But let’s say he does neither of these things (perhaps due to the speed at which he was falling), Tech can still survive if he falls vertically into the pine trees and foliage, which will cushion his fall, just like Nicholas Alkemade and the rock climber, respectively.
Furthermore, based on all that has been discussed and considered, the chances of survival of a freefall from that height, while seemingly impossible, is in fact, possible and likely.

History of Arctic-113
A cataclysm of death sullied Heavens flame long ago; casting divine bloodshed upon the dawn of Zenith‘s Decay. With her touch forbidden not a single light could pierce the tides of a cruel war, leaving galaxies across existence to be swallowed whole by darkness. Planets withered away unto swaths of frozen stones, harboring only barren fields that hungered for light—as even a stars warmth fell absent to their yearning. Echoed from the fractured and torn surface of every stone is a tale of old, whispering a time when they once blossomed with life. Now remnants of an ecosystem left ravaged by the scorn of divine conflict, they were fated to wither unto a celestial corpse. Within gales of a festering cold, three titans trekked silently as all that survived this terrible calamity. Tears welled in the eyes of ancients who howled with lament; mourning the loss of their dear kin. What once prospered a land home to titans of great stature now lied torn asunder—stripped away from all who cherished it by fates hand with only ageless vessels that remain tethered to a tale that had forsaken them. Driven only by a final resolve to lay their kin to rest, the ancient triad banded together and cleaved tombs from the surface of this frostbitten pathos.
With every fleeing century, the lagging titans grew languorous. One by one, each of the three descended to their knees to further nestle themselves unto the cold sediment. Their bodies erected from the surface like obelisks; protruding far from the frozen ground with a gaze unwavering. Closing their eyes, the triad caved to the frozen wastes and became one with the snow… However, their tale did not end here. It was as if the very sky was lit aflame—billows of ashen grey clouds cracked and burst with light upon the celestial reign of a new dawn. A kindled spark engulfed awakening stars to ignite the horizon of this frozen rock that had been left adrift for eons. Blanketed by its warmth, the rocks barren surface was washed with new hope; instilling vigor to those dormant beneath its crust. Hardened soil unfurled like the monarchs who breach from their cocoons, as colossal beasts erupted from its fissures… The Behemoths Wake ushered the dawn of a new world.
Landscapes quivered as the ground quaked and ice splintered; disturbed by the claws of beasts who sought to break free from their gelid graves. Rising beneath the first dawn, their eyes were met with barren expanses that had remained forlorn for far too long. To reshape the world was to play god—so too was their vision. In a display of divine intuition, the behemoths tore unto the frostbitten ground as mountains breached its fractures whilst trees unfurled from the scars. Snow careened gently from the sky, reflecting brilliant hues that danced throughout a newborn planet. The ancient triad watched as their kin acted with new life to restore a world thought to have been long lost. Overcome by emotion, tears trickled from their sunken eyes and filled the planets wounds with oceans and rivers. A behemoth who honed blades of divinity at its fingertips sought to guide the water and carve a sodden realm of its own; so it cultivated the gelid seas. Each of the three titans observed joyously as their kin nurtured swaths of biomes that would come to harbor life as it once did before.
Whilst a stars heavenly gaze looked after this rejuvenated planet, its zenith did not shine brightly enough to quell its darkness. A beast reared its ugly head from the depths of this world, shadowing the new dawn. An unruly and hateful colossal it was, and without love it wore a wretched heart stained by the scorn of a war that decimated galaxies long before it. To hold the ideals of catastrophe and death was to oppose those who sought prosper, and soon conflict evolved between these sacred guardians and the behemoth with a taste for destruction. It’s fury seared a trail of death in its conquest, ravaging the very fields beneath it. The ancient triad were left with no other choice but to confront this rampaging beast—lest they watch their home be enthralled by calamity once more. Legends paint the tale of a struggle that stretched on for centuries, only coming to a end once the triad forged a powerful blade from within the planets core. With this weapon, they pierced the heart of the behemoth. Defeated, it collapsed unto a sea of crimson snow. It then looked to the ancient triad with pleading eyes, begging for forgiveness; for the behemoth truly did not wish to perish. The ancient triad promised mercy on the terms that it swore its allegiance to them. Rather than harm their cherished home, it must vow to defend it. It is said that the behemoth swore an oath and was allowed to feel the dawn of a new day, however a fragment of the blade that ended its reign of terror was left wedged between its chest to serve as a reminder to its promise.
Primitive societies of arctic-113 revere the behemoths as gods, while others fear their display of divine power like the devil.

I love following your tumblr because I learn so many random things. I had no idea that Mustafar wasn’t always like that. I just went ‘lava planet, single biome Star Wars, seems right’ and moved on. The lore is so interesting! And Lando, you say? :)
One of the things I love so much about Star Wars is the sheer depth of the lore for everything. Like, Champala having one random sacred rock that's tied to their version of King Arthur, or Tatooine having once been a green world, or Mustafar being the way it is now because of Force nonsense, or like. the Wookies' planet having a Shadowland that's basically just the forest floor that they never go to because it's so dangerous. Just - there are 20 levels to every place in SW, and it's so cool.

I tried translating the family of my older OCs into clanmew, it's my first time so it might not be the most accurate.
Silverstrike = Ssoenkubo (silver furred striker). Pretty straight forward like the leader who named her. She was named for her fur colour and ferocity. Although she did receive an honour title of Strikinglight during after the war against her former colony. More detail underneath.
Strikinglight = Kubo-owosha (Striking light clipping around shadow). Significantly more poetic and references her uncle's name as she received it for fighting against Blackbirdshadow, directly and indirectly, throughout his leadership and almost dying. A lot.
Coppertuft = Yaryenaofa (Copper furred with tufts). Also very straightforward but does make you assume he has copper fur. Coppertuft is a phoenix coloured cat, and was born with copper fur but now looks more like a pseudo-cinnamon. The unusually tufty fur is unrelated. Although Coppertuft received the honour title Firewing which is detailed underneath.
Firewing = Kafyarbeof (Wildfire feathered wing). Received the name for successfully running through a burning forest, despite many burns, to warn an allied group of the spreading fire, whose leader demanded he receive an honour title which reflects the feathery wing-like burn scars he received.
Goldbranch = Rreenbaryen (Golden furred branch). Named after golden fur and because he's built thin and long, as well as to reflect his role as guardian which is a role I made for a cat responsible for the territories health (takes notice of weakness or sickness in prey/plants, warns of overhunting) and tends to herbal gardens.
Blackbirdshadow= Ooheemoomae (Blackbird casts blurry shadow from high above). Named to fit the rest of his siblings and black fur as well as his way of hunting which involves making his prey aware of his presence and using that to chase them into an ideal location. Never received the -star title as the Rushbound colony has never practiced that.
Featheredfur = Bufwanfaf (Feathery fur). Brother of Blackbird and father of Striking, Fire and Gold who was named for his fur texture completely. Throughout his youth he was very shy but came more out of his shell with the influence of his (now ex-) mate, Wolfwatcher. Almost received a dishonour name later in life but for political reasons he couldn't get one.
Wolfwatcher = Uruoopipo (Wolf-like with notable sight). Named to invoke strength, which she certainly embodies, due a surprising amount of death shortly before and after she was born, including her siblings and mother. Also named due to her superb vision. Like really, really good sight.
Goldbranch sounds just like a Head of Hunting in BB! Their job is basically territory management. Keeping track of predator territories, biome health, and occasionally organizing efforts to uproot invasives. Though, in base Clan culture they don't truly "garden," that's a role Poppyfrost invents.
Your names are excellent, so I'm drawing a blank on a good word to give you! Great work!

it occurs to me that in space / sci-fi settings, ftl travel, "world of hats" worldbuilding, non-toxic alien biomes and universal translators are all (in part) tools to mitigate scale. so maybe an approach is just to reduce the scale of a setting? i feel everything could work okay restricted to one planet and its satellites
A single solar system does work for this, especially if you have collections of space habitats. The thing is that it's often our own solar system, and we already know all about it, so it gets boring. Unfortuantely Mars or Venus aren't that exciting, or rather, they are, but our own Solar System is too well known to us, we learn about it as kids after all, so there's not much room for new things here. They are also places very close to us, it's very likely we will see people on Mars and maybe more in our future. So it doesn't spark the excitement it could have.
One option is to make it a new star system, let's say the first expedition (or plural, expeditions) to get there and set up habitats, explore the life. You can get a lot of detail in a single star system, but for me the problem is that you eventually run out of weird worlds.
With an interstellar setting, you can indulge into worldbuilding on its most literal sense. You can create whole new planets and systems based on physical laws (or not), you can justify a lot of crazy things as space is so big that even the most unnusual things in a hard-science setting can be found somewhere. And you kinda want those planets with weird biomes and aliens. It's the same like setting up a novel in a very specific place and never going out of it, you can have a lot and lot of detail on it, but in my opinion at least, eventually you get bored of it. But if your character are going from place to place, that's more exciting for me. You want the good old strange new worlds, new life and new civilizations.
My setting Campoestela in fact started as a reaction to the current human-centric sci-fi settings (the one that most dissapointed me lately is Starfield but there are others) with only humans or only three or five other aliens. I wanted to go back to the space opera kind of feeling of going into a space bar and finding lots of different aliens. This is more fantasy at this point in regards to modern astrobiology, but much like fantasy, I'm willing to take the premises of it (easy FTL travel, lots of space civilizations) and see where they get me. It does get you a bit wild with the scale, yes, but that's part of the fun. Writing about a single planet, as fun as it can be (I've heard there's been a very successful movie series about it lately) just makes me feel constrained.
For more realistic settings, I'm sticking to what we know about our own Solar System, because yes, realistic space exploration in our current times is also exciting. I'm doing that in my Biopunks setting (set in the 22th century) and in a retro Cold War setting with the twist that Mars and Venus are actually full of life. But you get me, I want my space aliens, I want my strange new worlds. So I don't mind expanding the setting and instead trying to play with those tools.

human starscream
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i think it needs a bit more work but this is the step in the water for this au "it's the same au I just decided to make starscream human on one of the pictures"
Star screams around the age of 19 to 24 he's still going into training for his "Abilities"
Basically in this AU he ,thunder cracker and skywarp are brothers and are royalty with their parents and their father has a line of secret abilities but only access when they're 17 but get dragged out of their home with their people by Optimus and the primes because of the starting war and getting accused that they were helping Megatron and get forced on another planet
starscream unlike his siblings he is quite shy and timid but quite smart known also to be quite sweet and understanding
Skywarp on the other hand is quite brutal with any of his decisions and it's quite risky with what he thinks and does but is brave on the other hand and quite outgoing "life of the party"
Thundercracker is the oldest but the most wise out of the brothers leading the kingdom back to its regular State like it used to be but is quite cold to people
They're all great leaders and all of them have their own individual "kingdoms"starscream having a winter biome skywarp having a volcanoes and scorching hot biome and last but not least thundercracker having a rainy/ swampy biome.
Megatron and soundwave are son and father and sound wave is adopted and did have a face but got attacked by a grounder and had to get his face removed Megatron's also friends with the King which led him to hide further but gets caught by Optimus almost getting killed but sent to the planet they had to move on.
Megatron and soundwave are guards to the royalty/ family Megatron is known to be friends with the King and sound wave is known to be friends with thundercracker and starscream, skyfire is also alive and is friends with skywarp.
Forgot to add this but they also wear clothes depending on where they live so if they live somewhere hot they normally just have something around their arms like gloves or padding and if they live in the swamps/rainy places they usually have little to nothing clothes but can still have accessories and if they live like somewhere in the cold then they usually have more than any of the others
I think this au could use some work to improve on the designs for them and the story for them but I think it's going well also yes knock out and breakdown are here and they are merchants actually so you're welcome.
Keynote thundercracker has Megatron as his guard starscream has skyfire as his guard and skyward has soundwave as his guard.
