Timebreaker Bardock comforts you after a Break up
You stood out in the middle of the night staring at the moon with tears falling down your eyes.
"None of it was real" You sighed.
Timebreaker Bardock emerges at the scene and watches as you sat down on the grass crying. You notice his shadow and quickly stand up and wipe your tears.
"You okay?" Timebreaker asks.
"Me? I'm... fine... yeah there's nothing to worry about"
"Well it sounded like you were crying back there. Usually I don't get the urgency to time travel to check what's going on. But something is really off here, and if you don't get up and sort it out, you are going to mess up your timeline and not reach your full potential. That has detrimental effects on your timeline."
"I've given up long ago. Love isn't real. There's nothing to do now. I have no purpose. He was my purpose. And now he's gone..."
Bardock rolled his eyes as he placed his hand on your shoulder firmly.
"Do you know how stupid you sound? Making an entire person your purpose, again? We know what happened last time with your other ex."
"Do you have to remind me of my past mistakes and how stupid I am and how I never learn?"
"No. I am reminding you of your patterns. You transferred all that love you had to the wrong person, to another wrong person. This cycle repeats. You need to stop it."
"But I really thought I had it right this time... And then he betrayed me! When I least expected it!"
"Well, betrayal always happens when you least expect it"
"You seem to know a lot about that"
"Yeah... when Frieza betrayed me after I had been working for him my whole life, and when the saiyans betrayed me after not listening to me about what Frieza was going to do to the planet. I know a thing or two about betrayal. Truth is, you cannot prevent it. No matter what. Just remember that your traitors are miserable. They betray you because they have low self worth.
"You think so, timebreaker?"
"They always end up miserable. You just work on yourself. I know it's hard to cope with the betrayal. I know you're still in shock and you're trying to get over it. Take your time. You will heal. Just don't go back. And don't keep chasing guys for them to fix you. They can't fix you."
"I do have that problem..."
"Look, kid, you're not alone. My wife Gine had that problem. She was boy-crazy her whole life. Chasing guy after guy, sometimes even multiple guys. But no matter how many guys she took home she never felt alright. She wanted more and more, and she couldn't validate herself so she needed their validation. She got over that when she learned to be alone and learned to value herself. You should do the same."
"Thank you so much, timebreaker. I'll definitely use your advice. I won't mess up the timeline. I'll get up, and I'll find my love, but I'll find myself first! It's not the end of the world that I made a mistake or trusted the wrong person. It's a lesson learned!"
"Good. Don't make my job harder." the blond time-breaking warrior said as he left off to space.

When Beast Gohan became a thing, You know for a fact there is another character that would absolutely fit the Beast form.
So I drew Bardock with it. And he looks GOOD.

What do you think of MasakoX's What If Gine Went With Goku to Earth?
Short answer;
Didn't care for it and only watched like... 5 or 6 parts, I think.
Long answer;
Gine is more unfit for combat than Goku. Plus she doesn't really like fighting like other Saiyans do. So it doesn't make sense for her to become some sort of fighting mom just because fans complain about DB women becoming wives & giving up fighting. The only DB wife who wanted to fight was Videl, but she stopped once she had Pan, then got back into martial arts as a teacher as mentioned in DBS: Super Hero. Chi-Chi learned martial arts in order to meet & marry Goku. 18 doesn't care to fight and was just programmed with martial arts know how and super strength so she still fights only when she's needed. Chi-Chi & 18 wanted normal lives. They dont want to fight all the time. 18 even notices that Krillin is more interested in fighting than she is. Heck, if anything you could say that Krillin became a husband/father for his family and put fighting secondary. Same can apply for Gohan, a character who never wanted to fight, but majority of the fandom overlook that fact.
As for Gine, she used to fight, but wasn't fit for combat so she works as a butcher & meat distributer. She is no housewife either. Why? Because she is Bardock's mate, not his wife. But back to the main point... Gine just isnt a fighter. And she doesn't want to be. Sure she would possibly learn martial arts from Grampa Gohan so she could protect her son better. But that's it. Once Goku surpasses her in strength, she wouldn't have a need to protect him if he can protect himself.
Idk if Gine ever turned SSJ in his what if, but I doubt that could happen. She doesn't just have tons of latent power like Vegeta or Broly. And she wouldn't train to get really strong either. So, based off of her character, I believe the most she would do is be able to turn Oozaru. And even then, I doubt she could control her Oozaru form well at all.

Dragon Ball Super Manga ch. 10-13
Tumblr media
Uh... I’m pretty sure you’re a Namekian, Piccolo.
No really, what is up with that?  “I am not Namekian”?  See, I never paid attention to the manga until this year, so I would always hear about it second-or-third-hand.  A new chapter would come out and fans would be like “Can you believe what Toyotaro did?!”  I’m a little surprised that I never heard about this one, since it seems like it would stir up more controversy.  But I remember all the pearl-clutching about Bardock’s appearance in the manga, and Moro’s different forms, and changes made to the Tournament of Power, and so on.
I think the idea here is that Piccolo is trying to say he’s more than just an ordinary Namekian, but maybe that got lost in translation.  Anyway, Toyotaro can have Piccolo say he’s a big green duck if it makes him happy.  It’s not gonna ruin my day.
Tumblr media
Not much different from the anime, except that Piccolo puts up a better fight against Frost.  He’s still outmatched, but he doesn’t just bank everything on a Special Beam Cannon, suggesting that his situation isn’t as desperate as it is in the anime.  And when Vegeta fights Frost, it takes a couple of pages, which is more satisfying than the single punch he used in the anime.
One complaint I have is that the manga never really sets up Frost’s reputation as a hero in Universe 6, so when his cheating gets exposed, it doesn’t have the same dramatic impact.  Maybe Toyotaro found all of that needlessly complicated, and yeah, I’d agree.  But that was the only personality Frost had, and if you don’t show it in the manga, then you’ve left him with nothing.
Tumblr media
On to Auta Magetta, and Toyotaro doesn’t bother with that stupid force field box and the rule change that went with it.  Instead, Vegeta has to cope with Magetta being invulnerable, so Goku suggests that he try throwing Magetta the same way Goku tossed out Botamo.  Except Magetta weighs 1000 tons, so that’s a non-starter.  Pfft.  Superman could do it.
Tumblr media
Instead, Vegeta takes to the air, like he did in the anime, and starts blasting away parts of the ring.  It’s basically the reverse of what happened in the anime.  There, Vegeta nearly got eliminated by ring-out, but his foot happened to touch a piece of the stage that had been broken off, so technically he was still on the stage.  Here, Vegeta is making a hole in the stage so that Magetta will lose no matter where he stands.
And this begs the question: What sort of notes was Toriyama providing Toei and Toyotaro?  The way I’ve always heard it, he just writes out a general outline and hands it off to both parties.  The differences we see between the anime and the manga reflect the gaps that they had to fill in.  I don’t think Toyotaro is worried about recreating the anime scripts, and Toei isn’t trying to faithfully recreate Toyo’s manga the same way they did with Dragon Ball in the 80′s and 90′s.
The thing is, most of the details in this saga have been pretty much identical until we got to this fight.  Did Toriyama just write “Vegeta fights the big robot guy, calls him names, and wins that way“?  I mean, that’s the only explanation I can come up with.
Tumblr media
Moving on, Goku vs. Hit goes mostly the same way, except Goku uses Super Saiyan instead of SSJ Blue like he did in the anime.  Also, he points out this whole thing about Hit keeping his hands hidden in his pockets when he fights, to make it harder to tell what his movements will be during the time skip, and that... keeps his movements predictable?  I don’t get it.
Tumblr media
Hit wants Goku to use Super Saiyan Blue, mainly because he knows he can do it from fighting Vegeta earlier, but instead Goku switches to Super Saiyan God, because he needs the extra power to overwhelm Hit’s time-skip, but he still isn’t ready to use Blue.
Tumblr media
Hit’s time skips appear to become less and less effective, and Whis explains that it’s because Goku’s so much stronger in this form.  Hit’s technique only works against fighters near or below his level.  Uh... okay?  So then Hit powers up to his full strength, which is... the exact opposite of how it worked in the anime.
See, again, I really wish I could get a look at Toriyama’s notes that he handed off to everyone.   Well, I mean, I’d need them translated into English first, but seriously.  It’s like he wrote: Hit’s time skip works on Vegeta but Goku just powers up and he’s fine.  And both groups had to figure out how to make that make sense.
Tumblr media
The thing is, Toyotaro’s theory sort of works, except if all Goku has to do is power up to cancel out the time-skip advantage, why didn’t it work for Vegeta, who went straight to Super Saiyan Blue as soon as the bell rang?  Whis claims it’s because Vegeta had already used Super Saiyan Blue against Cabba, and that reduced his ability to perform at that level later, when he fought hit.  Uh... okay?  Or maybe Goku’s Super Saiyan God form is superior to Vegeta Blue?  Ugh, this is confusing.  I can see why Toei just had Goku stack Kaio-ken on Blue and make it clear that he was taking a huge gamble with it.
Tumblr media
Wait, so if Goku’s not using the unstable Kaio-ken/Blue combination, then why would he quit the match?  Well, he just does...  he points out that Hit can’t use all his techniques because they involve lethal force, which is illegal, so he proposes fighting again in a more favorable situation.  Then he just jumps out.
Tumblr media
Goku also says that he quit specifically to see Monaka clean up, which doesn’t feel like enough to me.  He also asks Vegeta why he wasted Super Saiyan Blue power on Cabba, implying that their reasoning was the same.  Neither of them actually give a shit about this tournament, so they’d rather blow the matches on developing the Universe 6 fighters for better matches in the future.
And that sums up this tournament in a nutshell.  Whether you experience it through the manga or the anime, it ends up being this hollow event that only serves to promote a bigger, more interesting contest later on.  There’s nothing for the fighters to gain or lose in all of this.  Beerus and Champa have a prize at stake, but their fighters don’t get to share in the winnings.  There’s the threat that the losing team could be destroyed, but we all know that’s not going to happen.
Still, they could have at least made the fights more evenly matched.  Then again, Goku vs. Hit was evenly matched, and Goku quit anyway, so this tournament was a complete rip-off from start to finish.

So I’ve been thinking, and the whole trip to Namek was… kinda pointless. Kinda.
MASSIVE MANGA SPOILERS FOR POST TOURNAMENT OF POWER
Frieza would have slaughtered the planet, and thus would have gotten his wish. He doesn’t know about any other planets with dragon balls (I’ll touch on that one in a sec), so he gives up.
Goku asks King Kai if there are any other options, and they learn of planet Cereal. They travel there, and, since Granolah hasn’t made his future wish yet, he’s not (that much) of a threat.
Goku and, if he’s an ally, Vegita explain the context that Granolah’s missing, but it takes longer than the cannon story. However, since the Heeters aren’t attacking them, they aren’t even there), Monaito shows up, recognizes Goku as Bardock’s son, and validates what is being said.
From there, the Cerealian Dragon is summoned, and either brings everyone back, or just enough to make Namekian Dragon Balls, which bring back everyone. Maybe even the Cerealians, and a new planet for them?
Actually, this brings on Monaito and Granolah as allies, and while the latter isn’t as powerful as his cannon appearance, he still can grow, via power unlocks, training, forms, all that.
On the other hand, Frieza is still alive, and if Vegita isn’t an ally, he goes on his own and dies.
That being said, if he is an ally, Frieza gets wiped. He comes to Earth after learning of its Dragon Balls, and everything else plays out similarly. Krillin dies, Gohan is majorly injured, and Goku goes SSJ. However, Chi-Chi dies in the invasion.
This doesn’t have anything to do with Namek, rather just an idea I’ve always liked, but Vegita gets PISSED at Goku going SSJ, and manages it as well. Since Senzus are externally easy to get in this scenario, Gohan is brought back. And, if you remember the Cell Saga, rage empowers Sayains, particularly Gohan.
I suggest that Goku, Vegita, and Gohan all pull off SSJ, albeit with Gohan at a very minor scale. If you really want to go there, the circumstances are similar to Gohan’s SSJ2, but I don’t like THAT level of strength.
Frieza gets absolutely destroyed, the dragon balls being everyone back, much quicker this time because they have three sets, and everything is normal.
Also, I don’t see Granolah and Monaito do much, Granolah likely grows about as fast as Krillin does, and Monaito probably just vibes with Kami (or Dende).
Since the three sayians get SSJ this quickly, the rest of the story goes the same, only faster.
