𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗺'𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗦𝗿𝗶 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗮

In the picturesque hill region of Sri Lanka, Adams Peak, also known as Sri Pada (or Sacred Footprint), is located next to the little town of Dalhousie (Nallathanniya). Adams Peak, which has a staggering 5,500 steps, has established a reputation as a sacred mountain and attracts a large number of pilgrims because of its spiritual significance. Mountain called Adam's Peak in southwest Sri Lanka. It is situated 11 miles (18 km) northeast of Ratnapura, the Sabaragamuwa province's capital, and is 7,559 feet (2,304 meters) high. The Sri Pada, which translates to "Sacred Footprint" in Sinhala, is a hollow that is 67 inches (170 cm) long and 18 inches (46 cm) broad and looks like the print of a human foot. Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, and Muslims all revere the Sri Pada. Every year, several pilgrims of all religions travel to the top.

The tallest peak in Sri Lanka is Pidurutalagala, not Adam's Peak, but it towers over the surrounding range and resembles a pyramid due to its conical form. Tropical rainforest covers the area around Adam's Peak, and the Peak Wilderness Sanctuary was established as a protection area in 1940. Elephants live there, cut off from the lowlands by the tea farms that surround the sanctuary. Adam's Peak is the source of the Kelani, Walawe, and Kalu, three of Sri Lanka's largest rivers. The summit is notable for being abundant in garnets, rubies, and sapphires and is made of gneiss granite.

శ్రీపాద శ్రీవల్లభ స్వరూపము మహాగ్ని సదృశమైనది. నిప్పుతో చెలగాటమాడుట ప్రమాదములకు దారితీయును.

నేనునూ, నా మాయయునూ అభిన్నస్వరూపులమై ఉండగా మోక్షము అనునది ఏమో ఆలోచించుము.

మోహము క్షయించుటయే మోక్షము.

ఏ జీవుడైనా సచ్చిదానంద స్వరూపమును అనుభవించవలెనని కోరిన యెడల, వారికి యోగ్యత ఉన్నచో నేనే అనుగ్రహించెదను.

దివ్యానంద పారవశ్యంలో మాయకు అతీతంగా సుఖస్వరూపముగా ఉండవలెనని కోరిన, అట్లే అనుగ్రహింపబడును.

నా దృష్టిలో నిర్గుణ నిరాకారమునకు, సగుణ సాకారమునకు, మోక్షమునకు, బంధనమునకు వ్యత్యాసము ఏమి ఉండును?

ప్రతిక్షణము అసంఖ్యాకములైన నూతన లోకముల సృష్టి, స్థితి, లయములు నొందుచుండును.

జీవులు పొందగలిగిన ఉన్నత స్థితులకు గాని, ఉన్నత ఆనందభూమికలకు గాని, పరిమితి గాని, హద్దులు గాని లేవు.

మరణానంతరం నా వద్దకు రాగోరువారు తప్పక రాగలరు. వారు ఎన్ని వందల దివ్యవర్షములు ఆయా స్థితులలో ఉండవలెనో, ఏయే లోకములకు తిరిగి పంపబడవలెనో, నా సంకల్పము నిర్ణయించును.

కపటనాటక సూత్రధారి అయిన నేను ప్రస్తుతము నరాకారముగా మీ ముందు ఉన్నాను. మీరు నన్ను చూచుచున్నారు.

ఈ ఆకారము లేని స్థితిలో కూడా నేను మిమ్మల్ని సదా చూచుచుందును అని తెలియజేయుటకు మాత్రమే నరాకారములో ఆ మహోన్నతస్థితి నుండి నేను దిగి వచ్చితిని.

మహాయోగుల యొక్క యోగశక్తులు అన్నియు లోకకల్యాణము కొరకే వినియోగపడవలెను.

లోకము అనగా ఒక్క ఈ భూలోకమే కాదు.

నీ కంటే తక్కువ స్థితిలో ఉన్న నిస్సహాయ జీవులకు సహాయము చేయుట నీ ధర్మము.

నేను ధర్మమార్గమును, కర్మమార్గమును, యోగమార్గమును, భక్తిమార్గమును, జ్ఞానమార్గమును బోధించుటకే అవతరించునది.

నేను సర్వసత్యములకు మూలమైన ఏకైక సత్యమును, సర్వధర్మములకు మూలమైన ఏకైక ధర్మమును. సర్వకారణములకు మూలమైన ఏకైక కారణమును.

నా సంకల్పములో లేనిది ఈ సృష్టిలో కానరాదు. నేను లేనిదే సృష్టి లేదు. నేను ఉన్నాను కనుకనే నీవు ఉన్నావు. సృష్టి ఉన్నది. ఇంతకంటే సత్యమును ఏ విధముగా తెలుపమందువు.

నీవు హిమాలయములకు పోయి, నిస్సంగుడవై, తపము ఆచరించుము. శిష్యజంఝాటము నీకు వలదు.

నీవు మోక్షమును పొందక పోయిననూ, ఉద్దరింప బడక పోయిననూ, సృష్టికి గాని, నాకు గాని కలిగెడి నష్టము ఏమియూలేదు. సృష్టిలోని కార్యక్రమములు యధావిధిగా నిర్వర్తింప బడుచుచూనే ఉండును. ఇది అసలు ఉన్న విషయము.

An effeminate husband, simply being attracted by the external beauty of his wife, tries to become her most obedient servant. Sripada Sankaracarya has therefore advised that we not become attracted by a lump of flesh and blood. The story is told that at one time a man, very much attracted to a beautiful woman, wooed the woman in such a way that she devised a plan to show him the ingredients of her beauty. The woman made a date to see him, and before seeing him she took a purgative, and that whole day and night she simply passed stool, and she preserved that stool in a pot. The next night, when the man came to see her, she appeared very ugly and emaciated. When the man inquired from her about the woman with whom he had an engagement, she replied, "I am that very woman." The man refused to believe her, not knowing that she had lost all her beauty due to the violent purgative that caused her to pass stool day and night. When the man began to argue with her, the woman said that she was not looking beautiful because she was separated from the ingredients of her beauty. When the man asked how she could be so separated, the woman said, "Come on, and I will show you." She then showed him the pot filled with liquid stool and vomit. Thus the man became aware that a beautiful woman is simply a lump of matter composed of blood, stool, urine and similar other disgusting ingredients. This is the actual fact, but in a state of illusion, man becomes attracted by illusory beauty and becomes a victim of maya.

Sri Pada/ Adam's Peak

Adams Peak, also known as Sri Pada, is a sacred mountain in Sri Lanka. The pilgrimage season begins on Poya day in December and ends on Vesak Poya in May. During this time, the mountain is lit with lights that illuminate the path.

There are six trails to reach the peak: Hatton-Nallathanni, Ratnapura-Palabaddala, Kuruwita-Erathna, Murraywatte, Mookuwatte, and Malimboda. The most popular is the Hatton-Nallathanni trail. It's the steepest but also the shortest, taking about 2-4 hours to climb.

At this time bunch of my friends decided to take the route Ratnapura- Palabaddala scene tic route to worship Sri Pada. First of all we visited to the Rathnapura Maha Saman Dewalaya to take the blessings of God Sumana Saman before we start the journey. It is a kind of ritual of Buddhists.

Then we bathe at a river to clean ourselves before start the journey. With the blessings of God of Saman, we started our trial in the evening. It is about 12 kilometers from Palabaddala Rajamaha Vihara to Udamalu. Also, excluding the plains and rocky descents, the steps are approximately 11250. The following milestones can be seen in the route.

After worshipping udamaluwa we used the same route to come back. It was a kind of tiring trial but with the enthusiastic feeling of worshipping to budhha's foot print gave us the strength. Even though we thought it as a pilgrimage, many tourists around the world come there as a mountain trial.
