17. What’s the best engagement/interaction/feedback you’ve received from someone who’s read your work?

ooo there's been a couple. every bit of feedback i get is really really special to me tbh especially because until i started writing for dsmp i rarely got much feedback, and even now i'm not like a massive author so i cherish everything i get. i have a comment archive channel in my personal archive discord server where i put the best comments i've gotten from people. there's a few special ones i can think of.

my friend meri has left me comments a couple times and they are absolutely spectacular. incredibly special to me and i hold them dearly. there's clearly a lot of thought put into them and it means a lot to me to know people, especially my friends, read something i wrote and thought because of it.

the ao3 user theScrap_Witch has also left me some incredibly memorable comments. they always say the sweetest most heartfelt things and i have 100% cried over them like you can't just start out a comment telling me you'd trust me to write a novelization of the dsmp what the HELL. i definitely reread those on bad days <3

beloved bestie @faebriel absolutely floored me with this amazing comment on best laid plans one day and i have never recovered from the flood of joy opening that comment email and seeing the text wall of that comment. all kai's comments have been so special but that one i will always remember i think.

my friend willow, back when she was in the dsmp fandom, would liveblog all my fics in my DMs and i have such wonderful memories from those times. so grateful for them.

someone made a tiktok reccing cat's cradle and it was a hugely cool moment.

spud called my writing an "undiscovered genre" once and it absolutely made my week, and my sister who originally got me INTO writing said "when did you get so good" when i was sending samples of my ao3 summaries to show good summary structure and that ALSO made my week. and back in high school my lit teacher told me i was maybe the best writer he'd ever had in his like 20 years of teaching or something and i was like sir you can't say that to me i will sit here and cry in your class. i was a poet for a sapphic zine and the writer mod went on a rant in my google docs comments about how unique and incredible my poetry style was and how much she loved it and i kind of lost my mind.

also ksusha told me my c!tommy voice in sanctuary was perfect. no 1 crowning achievement.

lol thats a lot but i can't pick one they're all so special. people who comment on my fics please know there is a high chance i have cried over your comments and your sweet notes in the bookmarks and you reccing my fics when people ask for them.

And how she was talking before that made it really seem like that using it to make it so he couldn't talk about what he read was the first time she'd ever gone that far.

Ranboo is such a good storyteller. This whole oneshot has been amazing, full of twists that I didn't see coming but not in the annoying way but in the good way.

i fully get how like... scarred some of us are from all the dsmp!phil bad dad discourse, but yall are jumping the gun with the whole "wilbur criticizing phil for arming chayanne" thing. calm down, you're most likely to start more serious discourse about q!phil being a bad dad by bringing attention to it. I didnt even clock that as being a bad dad accusation thing.
