hey! does anyone have some kind of list of all beastclans/sentient creatures (idk who exactly in-lore is a beastclan sorry) in Flight Rising??  So far I have (under cut lol):

- Harpies - Serthis - Maren - Dryads - Centaurs - Fauns - Longnecks - Sprangyroo - Kitsunes (there are both bipedal and quadrupedal kitsunes. idk what to do with that info.) - Raptorik - Aviar - Manticore (but only some -- howler manticores aren’t sentient, I don’t think.) - Corven - Talonok (BTW are aviar/corven/etc types of the same entity? Like, is corven the equivalent of dunhoof? FR lore buffs let me know) - Sphinxes (i think id have to check)

Kestrel the courier coatl enjoys a bit of down-time with her girlfriend, Corryn, and their newly adopted son, Roan. He’s eating bread btw. He spent most of his infant years in a cage so suddenly getting fresh bread is blowing his young mind. Kestrel “found” him while traveling from lair to lair and ‘negotiated’ with the traders who kept him in a box. Now they can be parents :D

Beastclan Lair Members 2/16: Tenna

Tenna is a sprangyroo smith in Kimmeridge. As Beastclan, she’s not required nor allowed to be a part of the Fireflight Arrows (smithing guilds) like dragons are. Her forge, where she apprentices other Beastclan up-and-coming smiths, is known for its very reasonable prices. She doesn’t make anything extravagant; mostly everyday metal items like nails and horseshoes, rather than weapons or armor. She’s willing to haggle, if you catch her in the right mood, but if not, she doesn’t put up with any nonsense.

Brait tossed the garbage bag into the nearby dumpster and heaved a long-suffering sigh through his nose. He turned on his heel with a glance at the abandoned egg, ready to leave and do his best to forget about the forlorn sight.

Guilt instantly sprouted like a persistent weed in his gut, and he stopped cold. Paws curling into fists, he marched over to the purple egg and crouched in front of it.

“Yer parents’ are pieces of shit...” He said to the thing, laying a paw on its warm surface. He looked around, eyes lingering on the people hurrying past the alley entrance without even a sideways glance.

Brait swallowed and shifted the egg minutely. A shiver ran up the thing, and he retracted his paw. With his touch gone, the thing stilled. With a last huff of breath, he wrapped both arms around the egg and picked it up. It fell against his chest fur, dirty chitin shell muddying his white fur. He wanted to grimace, to pull a face and put the pitiful thing back where he found it. Instead, he tightened his hold and squared his shoulders.

“Guess’n I’ll be lookin’ after you now.” He muttered, heading back to the alley door he had come from. “Not like any’ne else is gonna do it...”

Tarou here! The "how do they get along with beastclans?" question?

⚔️How do they get along with beastclans? Is there tension even if they get along well?

OH boy, so. it really depends on the particular tribe, for the Keepers at least. their biggest allies are the miths, longneck, sprangyroo, and centaurs. with them, the town holds active trade and will come to their defense if needed, and vice versa. you can find many of these beastclans having temporary and permanent residence in the town! miths in particular are highly respected (though this does come from town mythology revolving around moths).

most of the others either tend to pass through the town, have no nearby settlements, or simply haven't been encountered by the town. they're mostly ambivalent towards them, welcome them when they come through and will trade with them, etc, just not to the extent as their allies. maren lie somewhere between ambivalence and ally, thanks to their heavy trade and strong alliance with the Keepers' sister town/port off the coast.

the beastclans they're on... less than friendly terms with, are the harpues, talonok, and aviar. they had some major conflicts when the town was first being settled, but due to casualties they eventually came to an agreement and "ceasefire" of sorts. they do come through town, especially individuals who aren't affiliated with the specific tribes involved, but they're not common to see around. their agreement is... tenuous.
