I have a remarkable ability to lose guitar picks (my "I am incapable of thinking through the consequences of where I set things down" adhd + my dad's "i don't like clutter so I need this to be out of sight bad enough that I will not register where I put it" adhd + sage's "move small object with my naughty little paw heeheehee" disease = All Small Objects Immediately Lost) and today I spent long enough looking for one that I used up all the energy I would have used to play anyway, plus any other energy I might have needed for the rest of the day and anyway I think that's what Hell is.
