it took me 19 years to realize that the pepper bar was not a variety of black peppercorns, but in fact various, like, peppers to add to your subs. like banana peppers and jalapenos.
19 years
picturing black pepper, ground or chunky, and wondering how those two options could make a whole bar

You all have the right to publicly shame me for still knowing the lyrics to We Like The Moon in 2022

oh god those Quiznos creatures were like. pre-Rabbids.
NO BUT I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THIS EXACT SAME THING WHEN I REMEMBERED THEM EARLIER- my dad liked that guy's flash videos so I knew about those things before they were in the commercial and they terrified me, and they have weirdly similar vibes to the early rabbids so maybe that's one reason I didn't like them at first asdlk;jfalsk
They even like the moon...
I feel you can trace a line from these guys to rabbids to minions, getting more facebook grandma friendly along the way

Correct. Everyone who loves indie animation say thank you to the Spongmonkeys and not Vivzie.

i went to the record store again to pick up some new cds to listen to in my car, because apparently i am doing this every time i get a haircut now (it's on the way there). i got uhhh snoh aalegra, doja cat, sza (not the new one), and leona lewis and manic street preachers off the discount rack
i was flipping through mercury prize shortlists before i went in since roni size was a real winner and you know. i think i originally heard about manic street preachers from an offhand joke on a flash video aggregator (just like some guy's blog, you know, he would post about the spongmonkeys long before they ever became a quiznos ad, or new weebl and bob episodes) and all this time i thought they were like, basically boards of canada but put through a distortion amp. like ambient noise. so like, mogwai, i guess. you know, because boards of canada was in saladfingers. well they are not. i think, being as this was pre-youtube, i might have downloaded a 30-second clip of pure audio corruption over dialup and assumed that was what the manics really were and never questioned it. i just accepted a world where flash video bloggers joked about ambient noise bands. in my defense, this is still not and never has been implausible
