If I Can Stop One Heart From Breaking
If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain; If I can ease one life the aching, Or cool one pain, Or help one fainting robin Unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain.
- Emily Dickinson

There are different ways to say that I’m thinking about you, it can be articulated without a single phrase. We don’t always consciously realize it, that silent wish that in your life, someone stays. A friend hands you a book you might like, you get a postcard in the mail, your favorite food waiting in the kitchen after passing an exam you thought you might fail. The sending of a song or waking up to a cup of coffee by the table just because that is how you would like to start the day. “ I made a reservation at that place”, red rose and white peonies on the counter, “it was time to fill the vase”.
“I’m thinking about you”
Such a gentle thing to say, they cut your sandwich in half because they know you like it that way. “ I bought you those dark chocolates because I know you like them that way”, or “ I heard hot baths helps those cramps that you hate”. Different ways to say it but how many do we miss? The intimacy of thinking that, which can’t be captured in a kiss. Different ways to say it but how many do they hear? A message can be loud but not necessarily clear…..
There’s different ways to say it and sometimes we don’t have a clue

“Things will get better.”
I hate that phrase. I hate it. I despise it. If I’m in a bad mood and someone says, “don’t worry, things will get better”
You can bet you’ve made my day worse.
“But, things will get better.”
…. Okay but what does that really mean? Your current situation will get better, or the whole grand scheme of life?
They should add some more words to that statement. Oversimplification is ignorant.
“But, things will get better.”
When? That’s what they told me 9 years ago after I failed to end my life.
If things are supposed to get better, how come they haven’t? Why do I continuously self-loathe and look forward to the day I take my last breath?
Maybe it’s a ‘me’ problem. That’s usually what they say it is. But I see it more as a “them” problem.
Because we fixate on this saying: “Things will get better”
but no one prepares you for what happens when things get worse.

Hanggang isang araw natuklasan mo

My Love, My Dear, My Twin
My love, My Dear, My Twin By Janeen G.
By Janeen G. My love. Meet me where the stars gather. Meet me where our flames gather. My dear. Let us make love under the moon, Let us make love and heal our wounds. My Twin. You are my shining light, You are my reason to love, You are ear to my heart, You are my shining twin flame.

what did i do to deserve this?
it’s the question we ask ourselves
everytime something happens to us,
it‘s the question we always ask in our head,
but we never say it out loud.
i always ask myself why?
why do we ask this question in our head?
most never dare to say it out loud,
but why?
i think it‘s because most are afraid
of the answer,
or maybe because we don‘t want to be
judged by others.
we don‘t want an answer because
for the most,
it‘s just an rhetorical question.
most don‘t really want an answer,
or maybe they just don‘t expect one.
most don‘t want an answer because,
they think people don‘t understand what happend,
or why they even ask.
but maybe that‘s where people are wrong.
sometimes you need to say it out loud.
sometimes we need to get it off of our shoulders.
so next time,
say it out loud,
even when people don‘t understand why.
even when you don‘t expect an answer.
even when you are afraid to be judged.
just say it out loud.
-what did i do to deserve this?

A Thousand fingers
A thousand fingers pointing at me,
Putting me on a pedestal of shame and disgust.
Their eyes are cold and frozen with assumptions,
And the truth is far away from them, unreachable!
A thousand questions being asked,
No end to this interrogation,
To prove whether my pain is real or not.
Treachery and trickery to put the blame on me,
For what I have no control over,
Blatantly finding faults in me,
For being an honest flower.
Showing my true colours to the world,
If this makes me unacceptable, an outcast,
Then; I humbly accept my defeat,
I will not fight back with those thousand fingers,
Let them continue to point at me.
