So we've gone around again. Managed another spin. Stumbled when dizzy. Still made moments dancing. Surviving sometimes thriving. Daring to go around again.

Pain does everything it can to take your happiness, your sanity, your life away. Losing to it doesn’t make you a failure. It is a relentless, murderous beast, and it is not your fault if you cannot survive it - especially if the people who are supposed to be there to help you turn you away or join in on the attack. I will never fault someone for losing to their pain; they were a victim and likely deserved so much better. And I hope that, if I ever succumb to mine, I’ll be granted that same understanding and compassion. I’m still doing my best to fight and to survive for as long as I can. I don’t know if I’ll get better one day and win, or if it’ll only get worse and I’ll lose. I’m just holding on the best I can in this moment. And I hope that you are, too. How bout we hold on to each other and pray, that it’s enough to keep the beast at bay?

It’s back to school time around here and school supplies like notebooks are on sale super cheap so I recently got several. Opening one up, I was inspired by my school days and the sweetly awkward innocence of passing “do you like me?” notes in class as kids and the anxiety of waiting to see if they checked “yes” or “no"

Beloved
Fingers laced together,
whether far or near.
Hands entwined,
without decay.
Unhinge worry,
and pad lock
my loyalty.
Fraudulent not,
rather honorable
with genuine sincerity.
My found treasure;
my lover,
my healer.
You shall remain
Beloved

The Cycle
Solitary is my condition And I am stubborn in my ways My dreams are of ambition But I dwell inside the cage Of ice that bars my frozen soul From ever taking form But there is hope on the horizon Shelter from the storm
The earth swallows and spits me out Into the asphodel meadow Where I take a number to join the ranks Of the flower ghetto And for many days we will grow But still feel incomplete Yearning to be transformed And bloom with the coming heat
Harsh rays of sunlight Will peel my wretched, dirty skin Revealing to me the beautiful creature That I hide within So with every abandoned fragment I engage in cleansing And each time this event occurs I find I am ascending
Soon I'll reach the climax And be arrested by the breeze Who with her winds will send my petals To a burial at sea The chillest cold will wither And cause my bones to weaken And I will die to be reborn Next cycle of the seasons

My ears ring and my throat stings Something in my chest hurts and my stomach is churning My mind is filled with this noise and my brain is stuck on the choice Do I let you hear it or scream in silence?

I can hear your voice in the silence. Softly your words come through. My soul's radio wave carries your whisper as I make my way to you.

Your eyes. They shine like stars. Seems like I've spent most nights wondering where you are. My single wish come true. For you, I fell so hard. Love, your eyes. They shine like stars.

Still each night I still write to you. Right on my heart your letters found. Spoken words. Know you are loved. A silent prayer. That you're safe and sound.
