Maserati 320 S 

Aesthetically, the 320 S is a 3200 GT whose had its wheelbase shortened and its passenger seats deleted, with only a small windscreen blocking the driver from the elements. Other features unique to the concept is the exposed roll-bar with an aerodynamic fairing at the rear. The central rearview mirror is reminiscent of vintage Maserati sports cars such as the 200, 300 S, and 450 S, and of course the Tipo 60/61 Birdcage. Sparco, the leading company in the production of automotive safety components and technical apparel and gear, created much of the safety equipment, including the arched roll-bar, the quick fill nozzles for petrol on both sides of the car, the automatic fire extinguishing system, the composite bucket seat, and the six-point safety belts. Michelin made specific tires for the car, but those have long since been used up. The engine is a twin-turbocharged, all aluminum 3.2-liter 90° V8 capable of 370hp at 6250rpm, and of pushing the car to a top speed close to 300km/h—enough power and pace to paste quite a few bugs to your face I would imagine.

I sold the Miata. Sad day but need the garage space to finish the Datsun. It was an amazing track car. Not great as a street car with the 700/400 springs and slammed for camber, but great for lap times.

PUMA together with Sparco launch an upgraded version of the classic Speedcat for Autumn/Winter 2022. Continuing the Motorsport inspired Speedcat OG + Sparco legacy with a new modern take, PUMA is extending the range with the Speedfusion x Sparco silhouette. Pulling from two classic speed-savvy PUMAs, the new Speedfusion blends a Speedcat-inspired upper with a Future Rider-inspired sole for a look as fast as it’s everlasting. Both silhouettes share color blocking and Sparco branding.

Since 2000 PUMA is collaborating with Sparco in various projects. Part of the joint journey has been the Speedcat OG + Sparco which evolved to an evergreen. The Speedfusion x Sparco is starting a new legacy. The footwear has a recycled midsole and polyester lining, mesh with suede overlays, a nylon tongue, and a rubber outsole. The Speedfusion and Speedcat are coming in 8 different colorways each.

The footwear will be available now on puma.com and in selected PUMA stores.

A cosa servono i distanziali ruota per auto?

I distanziali permettono di aumentare la carreggiata della propria auto, ovvero di spostare la posizione delle ruote verso l'esterno.

Questo comporta notevoli benefici per quanto riguarda la tenuta di strada, e la stabilità, e non a caso, più le auto sono sportive e potenti, più sono "larghe".

In generale una carreggiata leggermente più ampia consente benefici a tutte le auto, sportive e non, ma l'installazione di distanziali è particolarmente utile, da un punto di vista tecnico, quando si aumenta la potenza dell'auto, e si rende dunque necessario migliorare, oltre all'impianto frenante, anche l'assetto, e nello specifico la tenuta di strada e la precisione di guida.

Naturalmente, in molti casi si sceglie di installare i distanziali per motivi estetici, è infatti innegabile il fascino di un'auto con i cerchi vicini alla carrozzeria, rispetto ad una con i cerchi molto rientrati.
