Everything! as long as it's not low effort, that is.
What counts as low effort?
Posts like screenshots with no text added (unless it's a screenshot which is a meme within itself), or non oc fanart with no source added, official art with no description as to what it is, low quality textposts etc. Also, your post should clearly be recognizable as something from Urusei Yatsura, and not look like something from another anime (as it should have something like characters or some kind if sign that it is from UY). Posts with only links won't be reblogged as well, unless it's a link to a fanfic (but make sure to mention that!). Posts which send unnecessary hate about the series (or anything really) will not be reblogged either since it may create discourse, however meaningful criticism is allowed.
Why was my post not reblogged even though I followed the above criteria?
That would be possibly because I've either missed it or it didn't show up in the tags. You can message or send an ask to inform me.
What about NSFW posts?
NSFW will be reblogged only if it's with the series' own restrictions (that is, the most which can be shown would be nude breasts, though over-fetishism of that won't be reblogged either). Anything over these restrictions, censored or not will not be reblogged. If you don't want to see the NSFW posts, you can simply filter out the tag 'nsfw'.
Why should I follow this blog?
Of course, whether you follow or not is up to you! But following this blog is going to be very helpful to those who create UY content since it allows their posts to get noticed and appreciated more: the more followers this blog has, the more notes they will get. And not to mention, you'll get more UY to enjoy!
How do I find a specific type of content on this blog (for example, only remake related or only fanart)?
The tags will help with those! Posts will be divided in two different ways: a) according to what type of media they are from (manga, original {anime}, remake or even the video games!! However if there is no sign of which media it is from it will be tagged as 'unspecified'.) and b) based in what type of content it is (fanart, official, edit, gif, video, etc.). You can search with the help of these tags and find what you're looking for!

How ASPD Spaces may influence minors with CD
This post will only contain my personal opinion and experience. It does not reflect or represent the opinion of every single person with ASPD, but may likewise be relatable for people who do not have it!
Please keep in mind that this is merely an education piece and seeks to highlight certain experiences & things one should maybe pay attention to. It is not a manual to act after, nor does it have the intention to exclude minors with CD from ASPD spaces!
Abbreviations:
ASPD = Antisocial Personality Disorder
CD = Conduct Disorder
ASPD spaces exist on most social media platforms in some sort of way. This may include textposts on tumblr, pictures and reels on instagram, short videos on tiktok, servers on discord and other things.
In a lot of these spaces you will find adults educating about their condition, sharing their daily life, connecting with each other, or advocating against the stigma.
What you will also find in these spaces usually, are minors with conduct disorder. Which makes sense, since the presence of conduct disorder typa behaviour prior to the age of 15, is a diagnostic requirement for ASPD! About 20-40% (different sources have different numbers) of people with CD later go on and develop ASPD and often those people have already been recognized with "callous-unemotional traits" or "a lack of prosocial emotions" and the like.
These minors with CD may turn towards the ASPD spaces for multiple reasons:
• The similarity in experience creating a sense of community & feeling less alone
• Some advice, ressources and the like are applicable to both CD and ASPD
• Wanting advice on how to proceed towards an ASPD diagnosis once they're old enough/whether they should do that in the first place
• Believing that this is inevitably going to be their reality & community, thus wanting to be there as early as possible
• etc.
The fact that minors with CD frequent ASPD spaces is not inherently a problem, nor do I think that they should stop doing that entirely! I do have a few concerns though, as I technically speaking was a minor with CD in ASPD spaces once and would like to point some things out, that I think are important to look out for:
1. Not every ASPDer that posts their experience, is recovery oriented and should be used as a "role model". There are a lot of people in this community that are strictly anti recovery and will promote harmful narratives and behaviours. While everyone obviously (mostly) gets to post whatever they want, since the internet is a pretty free place, especially minors with CD (tho this also goes for adults with ASPD and everyone else tbh) should make sure to be careful with their content consumption! The "wrong" role models can be really harmful for your own journey, as they may promote harmful behaviour and thus may intensify your symptoms!
2. On that same note, spending a lot of time around a specific group of people, may cause you to subconciously mirror their behaviour. This means that you may (knowingly or not) try to be more like said people/group, may suppress your actual self & variation of traits and try to conform to what you see, so you can be a part of it. Its an entirely normal human mechanism, but can be quite detrimental to your mental health if you're not careful. As a minor with CD in ASPD spaces, this means that you gotta be careful that you do not get roped into behaviours or movements, that would be detrimental. Spotting this isn't always easy, so caution is important!
3. The presence of the "CD prior to the age of 15" criteria point also leads to some people believing that everyone with conduct disorder inherently develops ASPD, which is not true! Some people go on and develop other PDs, some simply stay with conduct disorder and again others recover from their CD without developing anything else, which is probably the ideal case. Early intervention, intervention in teenage years and the like can prevent you from ever developing ASPD! And this may be a controversial opinion, but: that will only work if you haven't gotten attached to the idea of having ASPD yet. Intervention only works if you want it to and if you are deadset on believing you'll have ASPD anyways, the intervention may fail and you may indeed end up developing it. You have to be careful that being in these spaces early, does not cause you to give up your chances.
To sum it up: ASPD spaces can negatively influence minors with CD. Being in these spaces early and especially being around the "wrong" voices early can compromise your recovery and can be a reason you end up going into this direction with your behaviour. The teenage years are an important developmental stage and having the "right" voices teach you emotional skills & social behaviour can be the thing that prevents you from ever having to suffer with a PD.
So please keep that in mind! Be careful which ASPDers you look up to, be careful what behaviour you promote, be careful what you think is going to be your "inevitable future". These spaces hold power and they especially hold power over those who may not have anywhere else to really turn to & feel understood by.
And just to clarify it again:
• I am not saying that you can't be in those spaces if you're a minor with CD and I am not saying that its always harmful! I am just saying that the people you surround yourself with, the content you consume and the things you get exposed to, can have an influence on the way you develop & your recovery.
• I am also not saying that ASPDers who aren't recovery oriented have no right to exist in these spaces! What you post and where you are is your own decision, I can't & don't want to dictate that. I simply think that especially minors with CD need to be aware of what they consume and what effects that may have on them.
• Recovery in this case is btw. defined as "working on managing symptoms/traits" and "harm reduction". I am not referring to a total absence of symptoms/traits, or a cure or whatever. So anti recovery refers to people who promote harm and have no interest in minimizing the damage they do & sometimes also the ones who use it as an excuse instead of an explanation.
All that being said, there are of course also a few positive influences ASPD spaces can have on minors with CD:
• giving them a sense of hope that even if they end up developing it, there are ways to deal with it
• having helpful posts and advice for the things that both conditions equally struggle with
• teaching skills that end up helping the kids/teens with CD to not develop ASPD
• helping them find a safe way to access help & a diagnosis
• showing them that they have a chance to grow older & potentially be happier
• getting trough to them about which behaviours are harmful and could use some work
• educating them about the stigma so they are prepared for what is maybe going to come & learn how to deal with the stigma they are already exposed to
• calling out myths, misinformation and inaccurate generalizations
• etc.

hello!!! I am a literature and arts scholar writing my undergraduate thesis on Tumblr's Goncharov Phenomenon.
I have a question about how to cite sources like Tumblr blogposts in the discipline of fan studies. I am planning to cite fanarts fanworks and tumblr text posts for my research paper on Goncharov Phenomenon. But in fan studies, the ethical concern is often that public open access works like fanworks are not public property that are open to academic scrutiny. So, taking permission from the Tumblr blog owners is the most ethical path that I intend to take in my scholarship. I am thinking drafting a consent form could be a good idea for this case.
But I just want to know acafan experiences on this ethical concern since I am quite new to this field and as an undergrad student this is literally my first foray into a research project that's entirely my own.
My first preference is to take consent from the blog owners to cite their works or quote their textposts. In case, they don't approve to use their actual blog names, should I change my methodology and keep the blog sites anonymous? But I feel that can be counterintuitive as typing in Tumblr textposts on google or using image search for a fanart can make that posts easily traceable. Any insights that you can offer regarding this?
I have read Paul Booth's Media Fandom and Fan Studies primer on ethical concerns and research methodologies in fan studies. But this research project primarily undertakes literary analysis and critical discourse analysis so I am not doing any kind of ethnographic work in this project.
Legally, I don't think (as far as I know) it's illegal in anyway to use public information for research - it's a risk any internet user has if they post publicly on Tumblr or any place.
Doing fandom research, however, is tricky, almost a minefield, so you should tread with caution. Many fans feel uncomfortable around researchers due to many reasons - I mean, it hasn't been that long since fans were seen by some academics as people with some kind of pathology. I don't know what you research, but depending of the topic and how you analyze it, some fans can feel judged or misrepresented. Fanwork, at the end of the day, is something people do to relax and/or to pour out their feelings - it's very personal, so it's much easier to upset people.
My advice is to always ask for permission and respect it if they say no. Don't become the researcher that doesn't respect fans - don't shoot yourself in the foot. If regular fans see you as someone untrustworthy, they won't help you when you need people for your research and you'll need them. Don't give them legit reasons to be wary of academic researchers.
The only time I think it's fine to use something without permission it's when the blog is complete inactive and you have no way to contact the author - you can even acknowledge this on your paper. But if the person is active on fandom, talk to them. Also, print your conversation and if they allowed you or not to use it. It's always good to be safe about this kind of thing - have everything recorded.
The consent form is a good idea and you should also explain your research and why you want that fanwork, reassure them you're trying to do everything in the most ethical possible way. Most of people will allow you to use it, believe me.

Hi, in regards to the public api, will 3rd party apps be affected in any way by upcoming changes ? The one I use - multitab Tumblr - is primarily for mass media browsing, so when I click on the "via" blog username attached to a post , it takes me straight to the blog, instead of the previous reblog.
This is obviously unrelated to what anyone is saying about viewing parent reblogs, since that's for conversations, reading previous tags and removed comments. My use case is just for the sake of finding blogs that act as human driven curated collections of media interconnected by this "via" feature. So empty reblogs are incredibly useful to me. But I'm worried they'll get pushed under the rug if this whole system gets redesigned and plastered across the public api.
To make it clear, the user being able to traverse the entire stretch of the via chain isn't important for this particular use case. Simply one via per post - the blog which this post was reblogged from, the blog directly before. So the entire via chain still needs to exist for any via to exist - but it doesn't need to be readily available to traverse by tapping the via. Essentially, if the via acts as it currently does in multitab Tumblr, and the android app I believe - ie tapping it takes me to the via blog of the post I'm viewing, as opposed to the via reblog of the post I'm viewing - that would be perfect.
Maybe I'm asking all this a little too early since I'm still not fully sure how this new post redesign will work. But multitab Tumblr seems to have adopted all the new post and reblog interface redesigns that the default Tumblr app has employed so far. Reblogs are no longer displayed as stacked and indented username lists with lines like they used to be in the old school tumblr textpost screenshots that float around the internet. So the posts have already had a redesign from their original design. and I'm not sure if this new design will be steamrolled over the current one over there too, through API changes. I'm not sure if the multitab Tumblr developers chose to change it, or if they had no choice because the api changed.
Closing thoughts: if Tumblr does end up looking and acting like twitter, that's fine because I like twitter and its many clones, I think it's kinda nicely coded and I like the modularity of posts and threads and how everything links together to facilitate conversation. And it's intuitive, which is why it's popular. However, Tumblr is and always has been the best site for human driven content curation in my opinion, because of the via blog being easily accessible in every post that is a reblog. So by all means , make it flashy and modern and twitter-like, but please don't remove the via blog, at least keep it in the public api.
Tumblr has a media focus, an archive view, pagination by date and post count through the API.... All these things which separate it from twitter in that its focus isn't entirely on conversations, but also media and curation and mass browsing. Essentially Tumblr = twitter + are.na + magic (the via). Please keep it that way. It's such a sweetspot between all these things. And this new post redesign could make it even better if only the via stays.
I suppose it's a niche ask? But a lot of people I'm sure find new blogs they like through clicking on the via instead of the source. I really think it makes tumblr what it is for people. Some blogs are so interconnected and I can see that they've clearly used the via to find a new blog to reblog from, again and again. It just makes everything so interconnected. Thank you times a million. I hope everything is as clear as possible hence the lengthy ask.
hey, yeah, there are no planned changes with the public API. if anything, myself and others on staff are continuously campaigning to open it up more and more, it's just difficult to prioritize that among the many things we have to do. i agree with basically everything you've said here!

after playing neuvillette's story quest, i couldn't help but think about ganyu, although i won't really talk about neuvillette's story quest or why i thought of ganyu as to not spoil anything
i wanna make a video about this at some point but there's no way i'd be able to get to it soon, so i decided i could just write a tumblr textpost for the time being (gonna keep it brief tho in case i DO get around to making a video, somehow)
i rewatched her story quest as a refresher and read her character stories, i feel like her struggles are made to look incredibly shallow... none of her sentiments about her lineage are truly validated in a meaningful way; the adepti all respect her and understand her situation quite well; the only human who questioned ganyu's status as an adeptus was some dude who wanted to beg the adepti for an easy life, had it been her or anyone else he may as well have said the same thing, there was no way she was going to get through to him
her character stories don't really go into her heritage either, the only notable thing that's regarded as distinctly inhuman behaviour is... her ability to take afternoon naps? of course, it's pushed to an extreme where she goes to sleep and wakes up at an incredibly specific time, and can fall asleep anywhere, but there's only one incident where that seemed to be problematic, and the character story makes it look like a very lighthearted thing— any other struggles are vagued under "not totally understanding social constructs (due to being half adeptus)" but man, who does
i feel like so much could've been done to truly give her identity crisis some real depth! she's been around for 3000 years, she's been to war, you mean to tell me neither of those have affected her character? yanfei is also half-adeptus/half-human, but she isn't troubled at all by her lineage— which makes ganyu seem kinda silly when she points her identity as half-human/half-adeptus as the sole source of her alienation, rather than the very lived experience of having outlived several generations of the people she overlooked and the archon war
i would consider trying to rewrite her story quest to fit those themes, but it's not the sort of thing that makes sense for the format

Naoto's face contorts into an odd expression, rarely seen on their features. The stupidly place confession that the other had an UNETHICAL career choice to an actual detective was confusing at best. But Naoto surmises that this individual is just trying to make a joke of some kind. But no matter how funny it is to the guy, Naoto thinks it's not. No wonder their epitaph line in the arena was 'killjoy'.

Naoto isn't able to take jokes like the second coming prince detective was, or so they have heard from rumors and truths alike. Perhaps another detective would had taken the silly comment with more stride but not with them. Pity.

I have a bit of a dumb question - where do you get all the textposts for your [fandom] x textposts content? Is there a blog or a folder or something that has the originals, or do you find the posts and screenshot them, or just crop them off other people's textpost memes? I want to start making some for my fandoms but have no clue where to get the actual textposts 😅
Not a dumb question at all!
I have a folder on my hard drive with 1,742 screenshots of text posts and tweets. I've been saving them since I started making text post edits for Community in 2015.
Usually, I just see a text post as I'm scrolling tumblr and think, oh, that would work for [character], and then screenshot and save it. Sometimes I see a post that I just like, and save it even though I don't have a specific character or fandom in mind, knowing it might fit someone someday.
Once in a while, I have a specific scene in mind that I want to use in an edit, and I don't have exactly the right text post. In that case, sometimes I'll just google something like "tumblr [relevant word or phrase]" and see if any good text posts pop up. You'd be surprised how often I do find good text posts that way!
Every once in a while, I see a text post I like and want to use on someone else's edit, and I will google that specific text post so I can take my own screenshot of it. :P
There are some tumblrs that just reblog text posts, and that might be a good place to start looking! @textpostsrus, @best-text-posts, @best-of-text-posts, and @fuckyeahtxtposts are a few. One or two of those might have been abandoned, but the text posts are still there.
Oh, I also have a folder with screenshots of 253 AO3 tags, some of which I got from tumblrs like @ao3tags and @ao3tagoftheday, but many of which I just grabbed from AO3 while scrolling through fics--so that's another source!

I have posted in Tumblr!
Sometimes I'd feel intrusive posting on Facebook or Discord, like I was blurting something out in the middle of a conversation between everyone else. Even on my own page. So then, what kind of social media would be comfortable, then? Less intrusive(no matter that I wasn't actually being such)?
Obviously, one where someone would have to actively hunt me down to hear me! That's... not at all why I'm using this platform. If I was going with that reason I'd use MySpace or something. I think I'm just here because A) I know one(1) person here, B) I've been reading tumblr posts off reddit and thought I'd come to the source, C) I've technically been here years without posting, although that was years ago, and D) other.
Basically I'm just here to ramble anonymously.
And amuse myself reading textposts.
