Filming people without their consent is a massive issue of not only privacy but ableism that's been going on for many years.

It started out with filming more visibly disabled people, like high support needs autistic people having meltdowns in public and (especially fat) disabled people literally just using mobility aids, but once that was deemed less acceptable it moved to other things. Filming people acting "weird" in public. Eating weird foods. Falling asleep in weird places. Wearing weird things. Stimming. You get the idea. It's no longer safe to be visibly weird in public and that's an issue for a lot of disabled people. I recently had to lay down on the floor of a department store because I had an ME crash while out shopping. Not only did I have to worry about the normal things like people coming up to ask me if I'm ok, I also had to worry about some video of me at my lowest point, when I'm suffering immensely, being shared around as "haha look at this weird bitch on the floor". It's upsetting. It's scary.

And then there's fakeclaiming. A fun trend where people will film us in public to "prove" there's some kind of huge epidemic of people faking disability. Spoiler alert: there is not. Most of the time the people they film are real disabled people who don't fit into the expected mold for disability, usually service dog teams or people who use mobility aids who don't "look sick". And you would think this trend would be some kind of abled nonsense, but it's not. It's often other disabled people doing the fakeclaiming. Yes, there are some times when it's obvious a service dog isn't trained properly, but other than that, it's damn near impossible to tell if someone is faking a disability, and you're much more likely to target a disabled person than a faker. I'd love to say this trend was new, but it's been going on since the days of "the people of walmart" where many of the people posted were fat mobility aid users, always with the assumption that they used it because they were too fat or lazy to move on their own. In fact, the image of a fat person in a mobility cart has become almost synonymous with "lazy". It's one of the things that drove me to get my own expensive power wheelchair, to avoid the judgmental stares in the grocery store when I was just trying to exist, to avoid the fear of public shame. Even now when I stand up from my chair to walk to the bathroom stall or reach something on a high shelf, I watch the corners of my vision for that telltale phone in the air. I feel like I'm never safe from the judgemental eye of the internet, even when I'm logged off, and I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels that way.

Tik Tok, YouTube, Instagram, these places are all great for disabled people, especially those of us without access to the outside world. But it's also become a source of great anxiety for anyone who's uncontrollably "weird", mostly disabled people. Leave us alone, I'm begging you, we just want to go to the fucking grocery store in peace and safety.

Tl;dr

Stop filming people for "acting weird" or "faking a disability" in public. It's ableist, it's invasive, it's creepy, and it's humiliating. People don't exist in public for your amusement and especially not disabled people. You don't know who is disabled and who isn't no matter how many disabled people you've known or how sure you are that the person is faking.

Summary: You're just trying to get your thoughts together for the upcoming semester, but there are a few distractions.

Word Count: 850

Warnings: Mentions of getting high, student professor relationship, age gap everyone is over 18.

A/N: I watched a Tik Tok that had the right vibes and this came to mind so here you go. A little treat.

You poured the black liquid from your stove top coffee maker into your glass mug. Your favorite mug with a world map on it. The steam bellowed from both the maker and your now full mug. The overhead lights of the office were off leaving the strings of fairy lights that adorned the bookshelves behind you and the warm glow of your desk lamp as the only sources of light. A Golden pothos falling over the sides of the shelves like waterfalls.

The leather bound notebook sat on your desk with coffee ring stains from setting your mug atop of the blank page. You always thought it gave the page character when one found its way to a page. You transferred your thoughts from the newest edition of the history text book you received for this upcoming semester. 

Going over your previous semesters lesson plan and improving on it with the new text book in mind. You taught a few different classes and with the short summer semester coming to an end only to pick back up. Before you'd have time to do anything it would be Autumn with a chill in the air worthy of the hot cup you sipped on.

A knock against the open doorframe brought you from your thoughts. Looking up over your glasses, hair slipping past your ear as your head moved. Your two favorite students stood in your doorway, Natasha Romanoff and Wanda Maximoff. Neither were history majors, but you seem to have captured their attention as they've now taken two of your classes. Your Western Civ I class along with your Mythology class. The two were already in your schedule for the Fall semester for Western Civ II and Wanda somehow snuck her way into your Norse mythology class. 

“What can I do for you girls?” You asked setting your pen down and picking up your mug, refilling it once more before taking a sip. The two girls stepped in and closed the door behind them. Natasha coming around to beside you and looking at the notes you took. 

“Is this for next semester?” The redheaded Russian asked as her finger ran over the words, a small smudge coming at the bottom where the fresh ink resided. You took her hand in your own after setting the mug down. Much like a mother would you licked one of your own fingers and used it to wipe the mark away on her finger.

“It is and I'd appreciate if my notes could stay intact. My thoughts are jumbled enough without you smudging them Tasha.” You looked up at the red head with a smirk plastered on your face and hers adorned a blush as Wanda came to your other side arms wrapping around your shoulders. 

“We wanted to know if we could help you with anything?” You felt her breath on the shell of your ear. Your attention moving from the Russian to the Sokovian. 

“I'm sure you two could be studying for your finals instead of coming to ask if I need help.” You raised an eyebrow to the brunette, the smirk still on your face as her forehead found your cheek. 

“Need some stress relief.” She murmured against you making a chuckle bubble up from your chest. Wanda let out a whine in protest of your chuckle. 

“Well she needs a stress relief. I'm getting high later.” Your head spun back to the redhead. 

“Without me? Rude.” Natasha started laughing along with you.

“Well I can bring it if you say we can come over tonight and then we can all have a good time.” Natasha wiggled her eyebrows and tugged on your hand that was still in hers. Another whine falling past Wanda's lips is what made you give in. 

“Okay. Okay you two can come over. We'll get high and have some stress relief from finals for everyone's sake.” Both girls became excited at the thought of getting to come over. 

You lived a ways away from campus so you never worried about anyone seeing the girls come over since the three of you started up this throuple of yours at the beginning of the summer semester. 

The classes were smaller and the two girls had already caught your eye. Since neither was a history major you figured once they got their history credits you'd never see them again. The campus was huge and the history building was nowhere near where these two spent the rest of their day. Yet when you saw their names once more you knew you had to say something. So as the old saying goes; one thing led to another and here we are. 

You wrapped and arm around Wanda, pulling her into your lap where her face now buried its away into the crook of your neck. Natasha just leaned against you. More than content to have you against her stomach. You never thought this is where you'd be when you started teaching here, but you couldn't be more happy, more full, more loved than you are with these two in your life.

MOONS OPINON

I’d rate his story an 8/10.

I’d love more depth into Isaac and maybe the type of person he was and maybe more gore (I find gore in writing is more scarier since you’re left to your own imagination, film gore makes me gag I hate it 😭) , but I think Jack is terrifying and like his character development.

I have few stories/characters that actually scared me and honestly, he is one of the best I’ve read.

But he’s close to Jeff on the “ruined character” list I have.(fanon tore him apart and I’m quite sad his scary potential went to waste)

Also, I dont support the actions of his creator I think what they did was disgusting and I’m not commenting on it further.

ANALYSIS AND HCS

He is DEFINITELY an organised killer.

Organised killers are meticulous in planning and executing their murders, he is simply a perfectionist when it comes to this, he needs to have the child’s trust and he needs to have timing, this leads to planning out things cautiously and in advance.

He handpicks victims by figuring out the child’s obsessions, likes, dislikes and habits.

Organised killers are way more likely to engage in Necrophilia,Partialism, fetishism or human trophy collecting.

Am I saying he does any of that? No because his character is already bad enough, but I wouldn’t put it against someone like him to participate in those things.

He can pull off superficial charm, amazingly.

A common trait in serial killers is superficial charm and a strong ability to manipulate others.

Superficial charm is basically fake charm people use to gain someone’s trust, in jacks case he needs to gain trust of the children.

The facade of charm conceals his true intentions.

Why is gaining trust so important?

If he gains trust it means he can manipulate them and get close enough to finally killing them.

This could lead to him picking children that are easier to manipulate, like children that suffer abuse, have a disability or illness etc.

Basically the more vulnerable the more likely they are to fall for his manipulation, it’s very sad I know.

Manipulative tendencies may derive from cluster B personality disorders such as narcissistic, antisocial personality disorder, and borderline personality disorder.

Individuals who murder only children also tend to kill impulsively with manual methods (e.g. beating, drowning) these are usually slower more intense than when a weapon is involved.

This can very much explain why he tortures children (it’s canon I didn’t make that up, check the wiki).

How you go from harry styles to hockey I will never understand.

I was going to make a little joke, as I do, (would have been v hilarious, best joke ever pls know this) and leave it at that. But like, it's been raining for over 24 hours, it's 2am and it might be good for me to reflect a little.. So sorry anon I am going emote all over your ask (which (the ask) sounds a bit judgey tbh but the written word is NOT a great conveyor of tone so that might be on me.)

On one hand it's just fandom. And, I think it's been pretty clear that as much as I love Henry Stars, I'm not like, a 'Harry is the be all and end all of all music creation and creativity and actions.' I like him for the good and the bad, and I don't leave critical thinking at the door. (Not saying I'm the only person to do this, just that it's hard sometimes in fan spaces and Stans definitely do..)

Which, can make it hard to participate in fandom as a lot of people are not great at irony, or accepting that someone else can say, god damn that is a terrible song - and that it's okay for that to happen. It doesn't mean that the person who expressed the neg opinion is not still a fan of the artist they were speaking about. Same with if the artist you are a fan of does something that gives you the ick.

I def learnt this when Harry went to Google Camp the first time. Like obviously I've been around 1d fandom in some way since 2012 ish I think it was - and it was my own reaction to Harry going to Camp Douchebags the first time that made me go, oh jeez Silv, you are a bit too involved in the parasocial relationship here. Like I was genuinely upset that he'd done something I thought was so dumb and wanky.

Anyway, clearly I still loved - love - him and I celebrated him and spent a fuckload of money on him and engaged in fandom and etc etc. But I just did at that point I think turn a little from heading in a very blinkers on version of fandom to one that's def more me - where you just get to have fun, make fun be creative, make friends! and have a bit of a perv depending on the silk cream vanilla ice cream outfit Harry might be wearing in Nashville.

I like RPF. I mean I like all transformative works and fandom extending and enhancing source material via creation, but I don't have an issue with RPF. I believe in 4th wall. And I clearly have written 1d fic. A lot of my good fandom mates, and real life best friend(s) are people I have met through sharing a love of writing in fandom spaces. Obviously all the best writers in 1d went to Hockey. And I stayed here. And I tried. I wanted to be where my friends where. I had fomo and I was lonely! My fandom had changed in a few ways all around the same time.

But Hockey is very confusing, (for starters as I often say to Angela or Joanna, snow is fake) and nothing clicked for me - it seemed large and I had no idea where to even start and I didn't really try.

But I think the change in some fandom fellow participants, and also anons being mean when they would get even a glimpse in their peripheral that I might have vaguely indicated that Henry did something that I thought was dumb or embarrassing, or just not that good, (it's no fun sharing a thought and feeling chatty about it, and wanting to engage with other people's thoughts if some random is going to anonymously tell you that you are a dumb c*nt and should delete etc etc so I stopped sharing any thoughts at all.) Of course Nick leaving breakfast and then R1 altogether - as well as obviously my whole life narrowing to a point that was just tend Mama- work - tend mama - work - tend mama - sleep - grow a tumour - tend mama left me not so much time for proper joyful engagement.

And then, in Jan/Feb this year, I think as I'd been looking at book reviews and as soon as you search for a book on tik tok they push book tok romance reviews into your feed and I think then that pushed an actual hockey clip (which is a really shite 4th wall issue as is the whole Kraken thing etc) and I can't even remember what it was but I know I then swiped through and watched other videos on the account and like 1d being adorable shites repeating stock answers and sitting on top of each other I was intrigued by what seemed to be very dumb and very entertaining.

But Silv, you cry, what about the emotions! You need emotions! Ah, yes, see, because I am nothing but devoted I had followed Angela and La's hockey blogs, and something La posted grabbed my attention and I followed a link and read an article and I was like. Oh, I want to read more about these kids. So I did. And after a little while I reached out to La and was like, um, I think I get it. And I posted something about the Fantilli Bros and then Max reached out and tbh I don't think anything says it better than my wide eyed enthusiasm reply. (You are probably by now thinking, Silv why is your answer to Max so short, why didn't I just get a paragraph? This is an endless essay with no conclusion or indeed a thesis statement, (that is if you have even made it down to here) & anon I can only apologise.)

I am really enjoying learning so many new things, being welcomed into a new space of connection and joy and silliness and emotional breakdowns. It's been so lovely to meet new people who are so excited to share their niche interest with you and no one minds how many questions I have and everyone searches out Primera and Important Past Instagram Posts from the archives - and of course reconnecting with people who I have always been friends with, fandom changes didn't change that, but it's delightful chatting much more often. The other day Angela and I watched an Avs game together via Tumblr chats, which was delightful, to learn about the team and to talk about random other things, and I've spent my last month of Saturdays watching umich with lovely people who La introduced me to, and having MANY EMOTIONS. (It's like hanging out all posting about a show's fits and one liners and if he's going to sing medicine but it's many pantomime gooseberrys. The performative homoeroticisim, wild hair, jokes, punching (only now during not pre show work outs ) and very goddamn impressive skill and physicality is actually pretty similar). Meghan and I have been able to chat through our very similar horrible experiences with cancer and mums with cancer and it's been so lovely and strengthening to be able to share that experience with a person who beyond gets it, and then also I've been able to announce to her that I want to write a fic about 5 ways Nolan saw god with the UMich Bible Study Group but didn't find faith. which is obviously a completely ridiculous concept but equally worthy of discussion. It's this that I love so much about fandom friendship - you share SO much because you are sharing something that gives you intimate joy, so the relationship always starts from a place of an automatic mutual understanding and empathy - and from there we make it our own.

But also, I really like the game. Like I love watching them play, all of them! It's fast (obviously - and oblig have to say - ice is slippery) and it's hard - and they make it look easy. When one of the special players (they are all special, but one of the ones who play almost with innate ability) makes a pass or a turn sometimes it's almost almost magic, like how the fuck did they see that gap between four players, and did you see how they kept the puck a moment longer so they could release it perfectly into the lane !! Hot.

The game can be all encompassing and it's SO SO SO silly. Like it's the dumbest sport. It's The Show. I'll put on ESPN and stream a match while I'm working during the day (the time difference is perfect for once) and I'm spending time cos I want to, learning the rules and the logistics and business side of it all. And of course, the differences between college hockey and the show. Idk. It just clicked on so many levels for me.

And so, I have no idea why it took me so long to transition from Henry to Hockey, but I am not surprised I did now that I have - it def wasn't something that I was bloody expecting. And Anon I will say this, the last few years of my life have been sad, hard, and tbh shitty. Now, I know what it's like to have fucked years, so I am not saying this to try to be and show off but 2024 feels a bit better. I feel clearer, I have started to lose some weight (15ish kg so far depending on the time of the month) and now I have a meeting w a PT on Tuesday as I actually don't care what I weigh but I want to get stronger and reduce my visceral fat as it will be better for hormones which is better for lessening my cancer reoccurrence %.

God knows it's (2024) not all roses, I literally had surgery again a fortnight ago and the cost of living in Sydney is giving me so much anxiety. I am still a terribly disorganised mess, my work is undergoing a complete restructure (thanks NSW gmnt) and my clean washing is NEVER folded and put away, it's always in the basket - but I feel so happy and entertained and creative - I am writing again! like it's joy. It's ye olde you are who you are at this moment but you are also the 4 year old you and the 15, 27, 34 year old you - girlhood (non gendered concept of not literal interpretation) and I love it. 💛🩵🌱

not really discussing whether the costuming is good or bad for character, context, or source material but just how much I like them if that makes sense. 

some of these costume designers knocked it out of the park but would I be a little grumpy if I went on a date and they showed up in a walmart denim button up and ripped their $300+ jacket to shreds? Yes. Was that costume absolutely perfect for Joel? Yes again.

Mostly discussing costuming in context modern/21st century settings. The Mandalorian+GOT+ etc. in part two?

Minimal discussion on hair+cosmetics, only really when it applies to the whole look

Why does one of my favorite looks apparently not even appear in the movie!?

I feel like mustard yellow is such a good color on him. 

Like call up those people on tik tok who make nonsensical categories like “strong winter” “ambivalent fall” and find out why mustard yellow always works.

The palette is a cute mix of like warm bricky colors like red, brown, mustard yellow mixed with baby blue and eggshell white. its actually perfect. 

What really makes him stand out is the fact he accessorizes. 

Lots of men don't accessorize because they don’t think its important - they couldn’t be more wrong. 

It’s one of the many injustices of the world that a man’s outfit looks 10x better by adding one necklace or in this case- pinky ring.

Do I like the sunglasses? No. But I like that they are there. 

Obligatory hair mention: The hair looks great. With longer hair becomes more responsibility, ie sometimes the part is a little too deep making the front pieces have a combover look. This is only when its messy though so that may have been the point?

If I included every outfit I liked it would just be a slideshow of the whole movie so I picked my favorites

Can you tell I like 70s inspos?

Its unique but true to someone who grew up in RGV and now on his own

ie good luck getting him out of boots. you can’t do it

When he dresses up in s1+2, damn i love a tan suit! 

Its very formulaic, but not to the extent that it looks like he bought 7 colors of the exact same shirt. He’s pretty much always wearing a short sleeve button up and fitted jeans. which makes the times he isn’t stand out

ie the tan suit. what can i say i am an american who is up to date on politics i always defend a tan suit when i see one

also occasionally breaks out this like tan vest situation? 

I think it’s a good balance between like clearly not being inspired by like their “current day” but not so 70s that it would be odd. It’s kinda timeless. 

He tends to follow one of my outfits rules: max 3 colors

Rules are meant to be broken obvi 

But I do feel like as a general rule of thumb and since he doesn’t wear a ton of patterns, wearing more than three colors starts to make an outfit look random and not put together

For Javi, this usually means 

color 1: *shirt color* 

color 2: pants (pretty much just blue or black, he does throw in some brown pants) 

color 3: brown (pretty exclusively wears brown belts/shoes)

Short note on hair/grooming: I love how season 1 has some more length in the back and generally has a shaggy sort of look? By season 3 his hair is more cropped probably bc of his new role. 

Something about the extra length in the back makes him look young- not in the sense of like actual age but maybe looking more hopeful or green, even when dressed up 

Also every so often you can see when they mess up the stick on sideburns. It tickles me.

He’s a menace to society. And he knows it

We don’t see much and what we see! Is so good

This deep deep red is very nice and I like that is a monochromatic look (I don’t think we see his pants in the movie but collecting pics for this I saw the pants are the same color) 

It also has my favorite type of collar- that extra pointy extra long collar. 

And he *drum rolls* accessorized! Its only a necklace but the choice to have it OVER the shirt, over an already perfectly monochrome outfit makes it pop

The things that bring it a little down for me is, well, there is only one scene to work with so it feels wrong to rank higher than projects with multiple outfits, and the grooming

The mustache didn’t have to be so thin. 

Hair wise I don’t understand why we always have to exaggerate the side burns to achieve the “deep sideburn” look. 

I feel like we could still make the hair look “of the time” by taking some of the weight from the sides and leaving it up top and working with his natural side burns (even if that means making them darker, just not necessarily longer)

Even though I get the hair of the time was very um... spherical

side note: everyone in this movie is dressed spectacularly. I am appreciating through the tears in my eyes

Have I watched in full? Maybe a few years ago? I remember the first one quite clearly bc the water filling up the bedroom scene YIKES!

Really? bc this is a SHEARLING lined coat. Do you know how quickly those fluffy shearling/sherpa etc. liners start to look like shit? if its a real shearling lining (the one he uses is real) you need to avoid getting it wet and store in dry areas.

HI!!! Hello!!

I do use references here and there to get certain things right! I absolutely love reference use!! (I've taken a lot of figure drawing classes too so that the muscle memory can be stronger! I also just watch lots of tv(or tiktoks lol), pause, and draw what i see!

But My main source is pin/trest and I even continue to compile a lot of references and put them in their own little categories! I check there often to study up on things or to get me an idea for some thumbnail work! Even the fashion poses are super helpful!

But I do recommend strengthening the muscle memory too!!

Hi Lumii!! First of all I adore your art. It's hella good. 

So- I've got maybe a weird question sorry. I'm a completely self taught artist, and my art is not the best it could be, especially in human forms. I can draw, but I struggle with anatomy and various other areas, with my art completely stagnating.

As you're a great artist with experience, I was wondering if you have any tips/places to look to learn more/etc.. Ty in advance!

First off, as an artists, remember one thing: The fact that you are creating SOMETHING. ANYTHING. Is always amazing whether or not it's "good or bad". Start by not talking down on your art by saying it's "not the best" because the fact that you're doing the thing is so cool and that's what matters most! :)

So, of course, my tips for helping yourself develop your art!

First off, take time to learn anatomy. Study real-life examples, such as photos, stock pictures, actual people around and about. Heck, even take pictures of yourself or your friends/family for references and learn from that! Another thing you can try, take a photo of a person and trace it! Trace the overall basic shape of the person and try breaking it down into shapes. Tracing these things can also help you understand how the lines would fall when drawn and you can train yourself off of that (just remember to never trace other people's drawings without permission or post any traced work claiming as your own! These should function more of private study resources. Along with that, look at realism and other artwork styles from other artists. Don't compare yourself to them and be all "Man, I wish I could draw like that..." instead, look at them and study how the artist put the image together. How do the lines fall, how do they color, what are their shadows and lighting sources like, ect ect? A rule I follow is "You have to know the rules to break the rules", so learn and know your anatomy and then you can really push your artwork into something you like!

Other thing to do, watch speed-draws/drawing tutorials on Youtube, Tik Tok, or wherever. I personally like watching a person draw and see how they go from a blank canvas to a finished product, so watching videos of a progression on artwork or a tutorial may help you to. Go to an artist's art stream too, if that's your thing.

Then, of course, just look up tutorials or references on what you're trying to learn such as "hand drawing tutorial", "face drawing tutorial", "action pose reference", "sitting pose reference", ect. You can find these types of tutorials basically anywhere, but I usually frequent DeviantART, Tumblr, and Pinterest (though, do watch for rampant art theft on there).

Lastly, just keep practicing. Look at every artists' work you enjoy for inspiration, use references, seek out examples, use literally any resource you can get whether it's a pic on Pinterest or a photo you snapped of someone.

I'm not the best when it comes to art advice, I feel, but I hope some of this helped a bit! ;v;

Oh, to be clear, I saw that person in my reblogs and was genuinely shocked they weren't on my block list. I swear I blocked them ages ago over having shit takes on other situations. I fixed that right away. I have also been blocking people who are trying to add/spread misinformation like trying to claim the snapchat dms are confirmed/have been "proven" (they aren't. I'm not saying they're real or unreal, only that we haven't got confirmation any of them were real, for people claiming what she's shown is impossible to fake, I want you to google "snapchat clone github" and get back to me), people misusing the word grooming, and people claiming that Bee doxxed Amanda (Bee very explicitly did not disclose any information Amanda didn't disclose first, Amanda has already published her birthdate, her first, middle and last name, and shown herself on camera. Bee never disclosed where Amanda went to school or any additional information, they just showed a yearbook page with her name + photo).

Or people claiming that I'm somehow victim blaming for summarizing and explaining Amanda's behavior on twitter/tik tok, despite the fact I've explicitly said I don't think it should dismiss her claims and that I could absolutely understand it being a stress response. Despite those things, her behavior is still important context (given that her entire accusation is based on her credibility at this point) and I think it would be unfair to not mention stuff like her claiming to have proof several times before admitting that she doesn't.

Per the r/dreamwastaken2 subreddit, they're my usual starting point because I don't use/refuse to interact with the cesspool that is twitter where gore kept getting spammed in tags. However, I take the information that I find there, and then I go to the actual source to double check the information I get. If you want to consider it a biased source, that's your right, but I don't think there's such thing as an unbiased source right now. The Reddit at least has information consolidated and easy to find again, and actually documents sources. Plus, again, no gore.

From past experience, I don't find much value in debating people who engage in bad faith or blatantly false arguments like this. Particularly for stuff like this, where we don't have a factual source of information to point to. Also, frankly, I don't have the time for it.

If someone wants to offer their own viewpoints, they have a first amendment right to do so. But I'm not required to let people use my blog to spread misinformation. And I'm not going to.

I’m not really sure how to answer this because I don’t really know how they would react to eachother, especially Sully, since I don’t entertain the idea of Liu having DID. I will talk about this further on. But I’ll try my best!

Liu woods

In my AU Jeff knows Liu is still alive and Liu knows Jeff is still alive.

Liu never forgave Jeff and Liu does not kill people.

To answer your question, I doubt they would even meet. Liu would be unrecognisable to Jeff, and I’m sure Liu would definitely not engage with Jeff if they were to have met.

One of the more “controversial opinions” I have on Liu, is that I do not at all think he would have DID.

So in terms of Jeff meeting his alter Sully? He wouldn’t, he’s not real.

Sully was Liu’s imaginary friend.

Due to Jeff constantly neglecting Liu as a brother, Sully was a brotherly figure that Liu created.

As Jeff was gutting Liu alive he squeezed his eyes shut and clung to any good memories he could muster to the front of his mind, he needed to take himself out of this reality. He remembered Sully.

After Lius near death, Sully would appear more and more to Liu, he would “speak to him” and tell him to get that revenge he desperately sought for. This increased the homicidal ideations Liu began to consider. Since they came from Sully, an exterior source, it felt justified and helped him cope.

Sully dissolved as Liu got older and he was left to face these thoughts on his own.

He ended up attending therapy, his thoughts were accepted and validated.

He has since grown stronger and has been able to move on with his life, though he hasn’t forgotten what happened.

He lives in Augusta, Maine with two cats and works at a local florist, he tries to live a calm and comfortable life.

Liu’s DID ( my opinion on it)

From engaging with people who have DID they have told me it’s not an over night thing.

Looking at Lius backstory- he develops it over night.

“Sully, a dark-eyed sociopath/psychopathic personality he developed after the night Jeff tried to kill him to cope with the traumatic events.”

Now people might say “yeah, a personality, not DID”

Someone with DID has multiple, distinct personalities. He canonly has DID it is stated clear as day in his character descriptions.

DID cant form after 10 years of age, max. After that if you didn't form DID you can't form it at any point later in life due to how the brain grows and matures.

From what we know, he is, I believe, younger than Jeff but over the age of 10.

The disorder is thrown in to the story as a way to make him a “scary character”.

I think that’s so hurtful but the story was written years ago by someone young and uneducated(I’m assuming) so I’m not taking it seriously.

The irreversible trauma or damage from Jeff could’ve been elaborated on rather than pushing it to the side and putting DID randomly on the character.

Liu does not experience PTSD, emotional breakdowns, or flashbacks.

Sully would make sense if it was a pseudonym or something,not a personality.

So my dad is transphobic and so obviously doesn't approve of me. I've tried to explain thing but , my mom has tried to explain things, but he just refuses to listen and learn.

He thinks he knows how it all works, he's got these ideas in his head that are the opposite of how it actually, and he watches and listens to b*n sh*p!ro and m*tt w*lsh.

I am starting on the track to start my transition, my mom is helping, and in my state, I'm old enough to make my own medical decisions so while I don't need his permission, I don't doubt he'll try to get in the way.

Because of this I would like to compile a list of facts, statistics, and just general information about trans people, the trans experience, and how the medical side of it works, all with as many, and as accurate sources as possible, because when I tell him thing he keeps going "wHaTs YoUr sOuRcE? tIk ToK? dOnT bElIeVe eVeRyThInG yOu SeE oN tHe InTeRnEt" even though that's actually what he does, and tiktok is honestly a way more accurate news source than any news channel or any other form of media, *cough*facebook*cough* at least the side of it that I'm on.

I'm asking for help with this because I've honestly never really been taught how to do proper research. I know I can just use google, but I don't know what exactly to search for, and I don't know how to tell if the sources I'm using are correct or not.

I'll of course do my own research but It'd be really helpful and anybody who sees this and knows some stuff could reblog or reply with some links, articles, and websites that I could look at. Thanks.
