Nope, all vampires lost their soulmarks, even if someone turned a human into a vampire the marks still wouldn't show back up. If they had one while human though it would disappear once a human was fully turned.

in the year 1523  — the world changed for the worst

a singular mistake led to the reveal of the supernatural. unable to control their bloodlust, a vampire committed the greatest sin —  killing their soulmate ( and their family ). hunted down by vengeful supernaturals to be properly punished, it seemed everyone would pay the price once they’d been caught. soulmarks, which adorned the skin of the supernatural immortals ( as well as their counterparts ) vanished. cursed for an indefinite amount of time, generations of witches, humans and wolves alike were born and died; skin empty of marks and unaware of who might have ben their other half.

five hundred years have passed — are second chances warranted?

it started amongst the eldest vampires — a distinct tingling along the skin where their soulmark had once been ( only now, they were visible once more ). like a chain reaction, vampires ( and their soulmarked counterparts ) across the globe were getting their marks back. with their sudden reappearance, will people be able to find their happiness, or will the brewing conflict in everwinter prevent peaceful unity?

hi all, mini here (27, she/her, est)! the fall season is here, and i am itching to pick up a few more plots with it! i have a few ideas in mind that i'm happy to share, but am very open to building a story with a partner — my interests at this point in time include horror and supernatural themes, psychological thrillers, and anything eerie!

Fantasy afterlife concept:

A world with a pantheon of gods who are each the patron deity of a specific group of people, connected to their calling: scholars, sailors, leaders, caretakers, healers, miners, warriors, artists, you name it. The afterlife is technically one realm, but each deity calls the dead towards them that fell under their patronage in life. After death you become part of your deities retinue, and the specific part of the afterlife where you reside is tailored to the wishes of that deity and their followers. People’s experiences after death are wildly different, depending on what deity they were called to. Think: the deity of hunters leads an eternal hunting party through woods and plains, while the patron deity of scholars inhabits an endless library. Is all this a reward for the mortals, or are these gods just putting their own favourite people in their own favourite place and calling it paradise? Your mileage may vary.

Now, allow me to present to you:

The Comedic: a person wakes up in the glorious presence of a divine being, surrounded by the splendour of their afterlife, and is absolutely furious they got chosen for something they considered a passing interest as best, and not at all their true calling.

The Tragic: a person loses their soulmate (be they friend, lover, or family) and when they die themself they are horrified when they do not find them among the followers of the deity they ended up with, prompting a frantic quest to find where they could have gone instead in an attempt to join them.
