since i think you've said you don't like space jam (or at least space jam 2) if you could rewrite it however you wanted how would you do it?

I'm gonna be honest... not to sound dramatic but, so much of what space jam is, is antithetical to what Looney Tunes are. The tunes wouldn't need outside help to defeat the aliens, at least not genuinely. Because they've dealt with far greater and zanier conflicts. Hell, the bugs/ daffy vs Marvin shorts prove that they're capable of dealing with extraterrestrials!

If Space Jam 2 got ANYTHING right, it was reworking the premise of Space Jam. Lebron needs the tunes, not the other way around, but I feel that was as far as they were able to go. Also I was always peeved that Looney Tune Land was underground (for some reason?) at least in SJ2, Looney world or whatever was within WB property.

All this rambling to say, uh, idk how a Cel-SJ would work if I tried. I feel like, I'd end up sacrificing the Tune' integrity for the sake of branding+marketing. Bc that's literally, historically what the SJ series is created to accomplish like. it's never meant to be anything more. Like, the entire premise is flawed, I can't salvage that. (tangent: That's why it hurt my heart to see such devoted artists who worked with LT work on SJ2 and watch them struggle to stay true to the tunes bc like. it's space jam. it can't ;-;)

The SJ I could see is like, an anti space jam?? Like, the tunes are the main+ side characters, and all the irl humans are set pieces for gags. Maybe a running gag is that, an actor (playing as themselves) would TRY to be a side character, but they can't keep up or end up getting a pie in the face and falling out of the story. But also like. I'm having a hard time forming a 90 minute basketball centered conflict bc I keep running into roadblocks. The tunes could solve a lot of this within 15 minutes tops lmaooooo

We had an Easter party/lunch sorta thing scheduled for today but the only things on the sign up list were peppermint patties and brownies so I don't think it's gonna be that great which is such a bummer

I'm making the peppermint patties and I also brought in some Easter eggs with candy in them. The orginal plan was to hide them in the offices but nick didn't wanna come in since he has the day off so I just hid them around the breakroom. Still was fun and looks cute tho

Okay so here's the thing. Before the season one finale, Leo would always worry so much about living up to expectations, about what his family would think of him. This led to him keeping many secrets, his interest in Lou Jitsu plus human media and pop-culture in general, his frequenting NYC and Run Of The Mill, all of that he would spend years keeping closely hidden from his father and brothers. Then later he'd also have to hide his tense but slowly improving relationship with Donnie and his doubts about Draxum's world domination plan. When the season one finale happens and Leo teams up with Donnie, the cover is blown and essentially all of those closely guarded secrets are exposed.

So after that, Leo is done with secrets, he's tired of putting on an act all the time. His family already knows that he's befriended Donnie at this point, and not in the way they wanted. They know that he interacts with human society, and so what? Instead of hiding this part of himself, Leo does the opposite and brags about it, shoving in their face. Basically any time Leo leaves to go hang out with Donnie he will let everyone know and then teleport away in front of their faces lol. (Jokes on Leo, he is still very much putting on an act, this time it's just an act of indifference. He is very much bothered by the tension between him and his family, especially between him and his dad, but he doesn't want to admit to anyone else or himself that that's the case)

But Leo does absolutely sometimes stay overnight at Donnie's place, both as an act of rebellion but also because Draxum's displeasure with Leo really gets to him and he just doesn't wanna deal with that sometimes.

Both Draxum and Mikey are, uh, a bit salty over the whole Dark Armor fiasco, including Leo's kinda-sorta-not-really-but-also-technically-betrayal. So they have a pretty pissy attitude during this part of the story XD and Leo running yelling about HOW MUCH FUN he's having with HIS TWIN BROTHER and also how Leo was TOTALLY RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING just makes them more annoyed (and they're not even twins??? where did leo get that idea from, what is he on about???).

Meanwhile, Raph does agree with Leo when it comes the fact that destroying humanity is not a very cool thing to do, but he still doesn't exactly vibe with humans. Needless to say, he's a bit conflicted about everything which causes him to usually get caught in the middle of Leo's and Draxum + Mikey's beef where he's stuck trying to play mediator. He's not super happy with Leo running off on his own all the time to hang out with Donnie considering it means interacting with April and Splinter, which he still doesn't trust. It's not until Raph starts tagging along (partly to make sure Splinter isn't gonna kidnap Leo too haha) that he starts agreeing more with Leo's stance on things and realizes that April and Splinter are pretty cool actually.

no, they dont make it to canada. they abandoned that idea after feather was killed. instead her funeral and burial is held in california by her dying wish and her family drives/flies over. graystripe and mosspelt took feather's car, but mosspelt flies back home via plane. graystripe is staying wirh storm indefinitely and eventually meets millie.

with storm's blessing, bramble,tawny, crow, and squirrel take the van back home. tawny is dropped off on the way, but crow insists on tagging along to thunder because he's not ready to be alone yet. his family is pretty small and he's not sure his parents will be able to help much, as much as they may try.

dodging the draft can get you into trouble, but there are many that got off scot free and bramble was one pf those lucky fellows (especially with firestar's involvement. he made sure bramble wouldn't have it held against him in return for keeping squirrel safe and bringing her home). firestar was furious at both bramble and squirrel but he's not cruel and unsympathetic, especially considering they just lost a very close friend (and that gray isnt coming back for a while).

this is where crow and leaf meet, crow is kinda bunking with bramble at his place and even had plans to move in for good. his parents were pretty combative but couldnt do much since he was a few states away!!! they dont know where the fuck thunder-whatever is. but eventually he gets a call about his father's rapidly declining health and immediately abandons his plans to stay. he asks leaf to come with him but leaf still isn't finished with med school (she doesn't know she's pregnant yet) and they part ways. crow makes it home to help ashfoot care for deadfoot in his final few months and fills in after his father dies. it's something he didnt plan to continue but its notnlike he HATES doing the work. eventually meets+marries nightcloud a 1-4 yrs later

leaf meanwhile continues med school. being unmarried with kids is still a social taboo, especially at such a young age (im imagining she and squirrel are around 18-19 by now, 17 during the road trip). squirrel and bramble, however, had been in a relationship with one another for a while after coming back home. sure, it got a bit messy when ashfur came back from vietnam and got a bit too close to squirrel for comfort, but they sorta resolved it and eventually bramble/squirrel got engaged. leaf confided in squirrel for her help with the pregnancy and squirrel immediately offered to take the children in as her own if leaf needed. it was a huge jump but leaf took the offer. bramble was let in on the plan the closer leaf got to her due date. he thought it was a very impulsive decision and they fought a bit about making the decision without him but he was enthusiastic about being a father regardless.

the others in town had their suspicions but dont ask dont tell.

theres some other parts i havent fully ironed out yet like where hawkfrost and mothwint come in.

as for the actual lake territories, they coexist with the forest territories by just being in different states LOL windclan and thunderclan's territory was pretty consistent in terms of The Basics so theyre mostly in the same general area (tc is east coast forests, wc is southwest-midwest prairies. theres a lot of cowboys, farmers, and ranchers in "windclan" as a result). shadowclan i can see being in the southern swamps, especially florida or louisiana, and riverclan is kinda interspersed alont the mississippi and ohio rivers. maybe a few along the east coast, too, as the lake territory equivalent. skyclan is probably in the rockies or the redwood forests out west. maybeeee old skyclan is in the appalachias???? idk LOL since the cats are so far apaer now the conflicts are a little less wide scale and more personal if rhat makes any sense at all. of course this whole au is a huge work in progress so some of what i say here may change!

the clans are rural/small/poor towns in my head. tight knit communities that have to rely on each other. kittypets are urban/suburbanites as a contrast and keep the 'kittypets r fucjing spoiled' theme going . you inow the city slicker junk LOL

bloodclan is probably a gang in new york. at least scourge's bloodclan. the other iterations are probably in other huge metropolitan cities. idk what warriorclan is, and the tribe is a whole can of worms im trying to be very careful with so im not gonna talk about them as a whole quite yet other than imply they exist

screenshotting for use instead of forcing them to see hella tags but as someone who has a constant background of narration around special interests going on in their head which eventually will start to run out of "canon compliant" possibilities and start experimenting with crossovers: this is why I struggled for a bit to do a coherent plotty crossover between daredevil and nbc's hannibal. this is another rambling "for me and literally two other people with my interests and way too interested in meta-compliancy" post:

basically: daredevil and nbc's hannibal have conflicting main themes in ways where they don't as easily synthesize into a new coherent theme. nbc hannibal basically amounts to: what does it take for a person to become a 'monster,' or otherwise transform into a version of themselves that would be a terrifying stranger to them previously. and it sort of frames it as... not necessarily a power fantasy, but it frames trauma as something powerfully transformative. you become a version of yourself that can survive/thrive/take control in the hell you've ended up in. you will surprise yourself what you are capable of doing when it's your only option. but at the same time, its a sort of "succumbing" to your situation.

daredevil is almost antithetical to this. matt's whole thing can kinda be summed up as "even after everything, it's still you." you can go through any amount of trauma and still be able to recognize yourself after. you can stick to your principles even when pushed to the limit and come out alive, and being able to do so is important. he IS his principles, and even though he constantly falls short of himself, his struggle is a definitive trait of his. whenever he starts to abandon his principles is always tied to him losing his sense of self.

he cannot win (in the long run) if he abandons who he is, even if it's only an internal struggle. it's especially prevalent in the comics where basically whenever he abandons his principles he has a bit of a flip-out and tries to abandon "matt murdock" entirely, and then struggles to maintain whatever new identity he takes and has a whole identity crisis/mental breakdown. his strength is his stubbornness and refusal to remain fallen from his standard of self.

so obviously, one of these themes need to bend so far it breaks when put together. put matt in range of the BAU/Hannibal's house and its the big book vs thin book meme. in part because matt's biggest struggles in his narratives are against structural violence and systems (not to mention... the smells...). "there's this one evil guy causing 90% of the problems" is again basically antithetical to matt's narratives, or are at the most just his weakest plots.

ALSO, a lot of the murders in hannibal get treated as combinations of three categories (by Hannibal, who I would say has the most Thematic Influence over the show): 1) they basically deserved it and they were better off being dead in whatever form than alive (mason, mischa's killer), 2) what the killer gained from their death was more important than their life (sorta the case of melissa, her death being the photo negative so will could understand the ripper), 3) their death was important to the killed person, they were only able to ascend or transcend something in their death (many of the ripper victims and general murder victims.)

Basically "agreeing" with Hannibal, or adopting his viewpoint, (or basically being 'seduced' by the story) requires viewing deaths in those three ways. It requires a sort of dissociation with the reality of a person dying in any practical matter. any death becomes metaphor and symbolic, and the symbol is more important than the ending of life, it transcends it. this also doesn't rock with matt's themes.

even if you go serial killer AU matt's relationship with violence, and the temptation of committing murder, is based around practicality. it's that killing would technically be the most efficient way of stopping someone from hurting other people ever again. it's how he could cut through the red tape and financial security that protects fisk or fisk's stand-in, the way they've manipulated systems of supposed justice to hurt people (and specifically innocents), and just end it for good. obv in cases where that does happen (by his hand or others) it again leans into the fact that there is no single bogeyman that can be killed to stop evil or whatever. if fisk dies, there is a replacement to that power vacuum, if matt steps into that role to try and control it, he fails miserably.

hannibal approaches the seduction of murder with: and it's actually awesome? while daredevil approaches it with: it won't actually help you, and it won't fix anything. you will only destroy yourself. both of the (shows at least) fixations on catholicism also have parallel approaches with hannibal encouraging you to become your own god and daredevil reminding you that you aren't. will is basically betrayed by his friends and community while matt is consistently supported by his.

ultimately, nbc hannibal is very metaphorical and artsy and pretentious (i say lovingly) while daredevil is like. How Would Superpowers Effect The Local Law Economy.

OKAY THE ABO STALAG FIC - talk to me about the roles and behaviour of the subgenders in your ABO verse. Are there packs? So I get from your tags that Buckys pheromons can influence people's moods - so when he's happy, they're calm. Does that play into why Bucky is all loud and sunshine incarnate in England - because his omega is telling him that its his responsibility to keep the boys as calm as possible?

Okay, so packs in my A/B/O verse are sorta of tiered. There's the 100th who are one large pack (this includes ground crew, the brass, and other miscellaneous officials) with the Head Alpha being whoever is the highest ranked person in charge, and its more official than personal. Then there are what I call plane packs, boys who work the same plane (often this draws in a favored member of the ground crew (like Ken) and some people who can jump into a seat/role - navigators seems to jump planes more frequently so that roles fits them and Bucky would also fit this for Brady's plane pack seeing as he flew with them you know?). These are really, really important during missions.

After plane packs are personal packs, usually your besties, bunkmates, and mate(s), and there's a lot of meandering personal pack lines with overlaps and such. When that happens, there's usually a sort of collective group decision to be under one Alpha for any conflicts and worries, which in my universe is Buck then Rosie when Buck goes down. Jack Kidd is also considered like a secondary Head Alpha because he's Air Exec, but he's so busy trying to keep everyone alive that he can't be primary Head Alpha. He deserves a break.

Bucky, by nature of being the highest ranked Omega and the former Air Exec with a penchant for making friends, ends up in a lot of people's personal packs as well as someone who checks everyone's moods and temperature. By virtue of being in so many packs, he's given a de facto position of authority where after the group Alpha, his decisions are most respected. Other people who end up being in a lot of packs are: Ken, Rosie, and Croz.

Part of the reason Bucky gets sent over first is because the Air Force knows they need to set up a welcoming atmosphere, and Omegas do that. It's why Bucky tries so hard to be bright when the boys touch down in England, and it hurts him being unable to really warn them about what the missions are really like.

Bucky takes it upon himself to see to it that every Omega is okay on base to ensure a good atmosphere, which further cements his place as overall Pack Omega. He does view it as his responsibility, but he's also happy to do it, at least in the beginning. He's good at it because he's a people person, and the boys, Omega or not, all feel better after he stops by. Once the war starts to really take a toll on Bucky's mental health, these visits slow down as Bucky can't force his usual level of cheer. This has a snowball effect because the boys start to buckle some without that extra support and the upset Omega pheromones which in turn makes Bucky feel worse and so on and so forth.

Omegas sort of act as energizers (that's the best word I can think of right now) where their pheromones have the ability to make you feel what they're feeling, usually these are positive emotions because Omegas are like happy pills for packs. Their scents are usually brighter, with positive, happy connotations that help them keep everyone happy. Betas keep things level. Their scents are closer to neutral, and they're the best at clearing out the scents of unhappy Omegas or raging Alphas. Alphas have sharper scents, and they tend to have slightly more dominating scents due to their instincts wanting to protect and mark their pack. This results in packs needing a balance of all three dynamics to stay healthy. A pack with only Alphas will get stuck in a feedback loop that can turn violent. The same goes for the other dynamics.

In Stalag Luft III, that's where pack lines have to be reworked. Your pack is your original regiment plus whoever you are bunking with. Of course, there are some exceptions where packs become close enough they become one even if they aren't from the same regiment (see the Tuskegee Airmen and the 100th because the boys all become good friends. This is sped along by Benny and Buck both bringing them into the fold due to their friendships within the Tuskegee Airmen.)

Bucky gets a bit of the odd man out treatment as once again he's the highest ranked Omega there, and the Germans use that. Often to Bucky's own detriment as he is in no shape to focus on keeping the Omegas safe. (Inspired by Bucky and Buck being at the meeting with the German head of camp and the Colonel (I'm not sure what his name is) after the British prisoners escape) This means that if the Germans have an announcement for just the Omegas, Bucky gets called in to deal with it. (This is a spoiler for my fic btw!)

peanut's dad(s?) - storyline

okay i can't choose between aus and barzy so i made a quick storyline for each of them and you guys can vote using this poll || also, the tag peanut's world! au has all of these

auston matthews:

mama and auston met through willy. they dated for over a year, before mama got pregnant. they weren't super serious during that time, but they were having fun with each other and loved each other so they never broke up. mama and aus knew they weren't endgame from the start, but once mama's preg, they decide to try for baby peanut

mama's in toronto for the start of her pregnancy, but within a few weeks, mama realizes she can't do it. aus is gone a lot of roadtrips, and mama's really sick during the start, and she just can't be alone. that's mama's biggest thing. so she talks to aus and tells him it's not working. there's a fight, bcz aus tells her she's not trying, but she tells him she can't try anymore. she's sick and tired and alone, and she loved being with him while they were dating, but she can't once she's preg. it hurts bcz they're still in love with each other, but they knew they weren't endgame, so it hurts a little less.

aus lets mama go bcz he loves her, and if you love someone, you have to let them go (very tragic love of them)

mama spends her pregnancy in mich, nj, and van. aus comes to visit as often as he can, but he's busy with work.

after peanut's born, aus misses a lot of milestones bcz he lives so far and he's gone a lot for work. he loves her, like he loves p so much, it affects him in everything he does.

girl dad auston is this and you cannot convince me otherwise. he's showing all the new leafs' everything, and mitchy's like, yeah he does this

all three hughes liked aus bcz he likes the leafs and aus is the saviour of the franchise. once aus and mama start dating, they're like oh damn... then boom! mama's pregnant. then boom! they split. bcz mama's okay with aus, luke decides to be okay with him as well. quinn's not a huge fan, but he respects mama's wish for him to be nice. jack is not happy. mama forgives too easily and jack will never forgive someone if they wrong mama. his thoughts are that there's no reason for aus to not step up and take some more damn responsibility of his child.

after a fight when p was around 2/3, mama makes more time for aus to see p during the season, and aus goes to see her too. jack sees aus being girl dad #1 and slowly opens up to aus as peanut's dad

this is most likely not endgame, bcz it's more of a tragic love thing. aus loves mama, he loves her enough not to ask her to leave everything behind to live with him in toronto. and mama loves aus enough that she would leave everything behind to actually be with him in toronto. it's a 'if you love someone, you need to learn to let them go' sorta trope

mama and mat meet at a bar in nyc/nj. it's a while before jack's draft and mama's just hanging out with her friends, and she meets mat. mama's a pretty rational person, so she doesn't just fall for anyone with pretty eyes. (but mat has really pretty eyes). eventually the two start talking and dating. nine or so months into the relationship, they find out mama's preg. mat doesn't have the best reaction, and mama's just devastated.

now jack already heard of mat and his 'ways' but having mama call him in the middle of the night, sobbing... jack would've actually hurt mat if he saw him.

mama's leaving to mich, but mat catches her, letting her know that whatever she wants to do, he's there. he'll pay for child support, he'll help out wherever he can, he'll do it. mama just nods, but tells him she's going back to mich. the breakup was never spoken about, but it was mutually agreed on

it doesn't take long for mat to realize he doesn't want to let mama go, and he's conflicted between not thinking he's a good dad for peanut and wanting to win back mama... so he does neither

i mentioned it in some tags fucking forever ago and I posted about it on twitter but might as well post it here too

"I can't be ableist, I'm [x]" has done so much damage to mentally ill and disabled spaces and or threatens to do so. and unchecked internalized ableism and unchecked ableism as a whole.

i am someone with unsavoury symptoms and conditions. There's no beating the bush about this one. My symptoms are considered ugly and there have been times where I've met people who have been all like, "Support people with unsavory symptoms" but when I actually started hanging out with them they ended up being more ableist than anyone I've ever met.

I have memory issues. On some days I forget things quite literally as they happen to me. There's no guarantee I'd remember what you've said to me. It doesn't mean I don't care, I literally sometimes forget what I was doing three minutes ago. no, I'm not making an excuse, I literally forgot that you were bothered by, say, bugs and it was not intentional. Now I will most likely remember but please don't be bothered if moving forward I ask you to clarify what you're bothered by.

I have issues with my emotions. I struggle to articulate what I'm thinking and feeling. PLEASE ask me to elaborate on things before jumping at me and accusing me of twisting things around or whatever, or inviting conflict, or a thousand other "UM ACTUALLY--"s. And please, PLEASE don't assume things, ASK ME THINGS. Let me speak.

I have issues with anxiety. I often distance myself from 90% of discord servers and even my own friends (even if they don't notice it) because I am deeply terrified that they secretly don't like me or they're seconds from snapping, or they find me annoying, or about a thousand fucking other things that there are times where I feel deeply, deeply ill. It's not that I don't like you; it's that I'm actively struggling with myself and putting forth a lot of effort to make things work on my end.

I have PTSD. That PTSD on top of the anxiety manifests in my fear of old terrible cycles repeating even if they're out of my control. This makes pretty much everything else mentioned way worse. Everything is a CONSTANT WAR within myself. I'm a perfectionist and I feel like even if it's not my fault I convince myself that I did something wrong and I rationalize things that way. There's also the bipolar and the BPD.

I am medicated and learning how to manage these things. But we need to accept that these symptoms are ugly, that while I'm doing my part, I and others like me still deserve grace and tenderness and we do NOT need our own community and/or communities who claim to have the exact same issues treating us like shit, spitting on us, or being in general hypocritical towards us in claiming that they support us but then do everything that seems to state the obvious.

it really is your own people sometimes. and it shouldn't have to be.

and whenever i try and say things like this I have people telling me I'm "DODGING RESPONSIBILITY," no I'm not, you cannot assume such things of me when you're only seeing me talking about a very real issue that I and many others face.

Stop reblogging and posting about how much you love and support "unsavoury" symptoms and conditions but then turn around and treat those very same people like absolute shit.

And don't get me started on how autistics like to treat other autistics just because their autism happens to be different.

I'm sorta fuzzy so it's super hard to really articulate or parse together what I'm trying to say properly but I hope what I'm trying to say comes across. Ableism within disabled and mentally ill communities fucking suck. Learn to actually care about and support people with symptoms and conditions you can't romanticize.

sorry for using your inbox as a confessional im too scared to post in a tag where everyone knows each other. anyway the thing i think is most interesting about wilfried is how sylvester is characterized by his treatment of his failson. bc like the obvious answer after the ivory tower incident and at like eight other points in the story was to demote wilfried to an archnoble or to put him in the temple. bonifatius should have served as sylvester's very obvious example that like. an archducal family member can thrive and be better off if they're not forced into archducal competition beyond doing the training just in case everyone else dies. and ferdinand should have shown him that sometimes being put in the temple or otherwise demoted is better than being a target in noble society. especially once rozemyne shows up and hes repeatedly shown the ways the temple is improving and the importance of it to the duchy's functioning. and yet even in his conversation with bonifatius in i think book 5 hes so against it he would rather disown rozemyne. which you could interpret as him thinking that even if he understands all that that noble society will continue to target wilfried but it also implies that on some level sylvester did and maybe still does think that bonifatius and ferdinand have reached "bad ends", despite caring deeply for them and intellectually understanding that they are better off not being the aub. bc it's not like wilfried is completely incompetent, he's just terrible at politics. he's a skilled warrior and when he's not being coddled he's fully capable of buckling down and getting work done. but even though sylvester has been told exactly that by several people, after sylvester finally gives up on having wilfried be the unambiguous heir he's still very clearly trying to leave the path open for him when wilfried has obviously and repeatedly been shown to not have a talent or even really a desire for the position outside of not wanting to be a target and charlotte has been here the whole time. honestly sylvester's basically only done harm by reinforcing that him losing the seat WOULD be a bad thing instead of trying to improve conditions for non-candidate archducal family members if he's so worried about the fate of failsons. like idk i just think its interesting especially in light of the most recent chapter that sylvester certainly cares for rozemyne and doesn't want her to be forced into a position she doesn't want, but, like, he is still a noble, it's just that rozemyne is frequently sheltered from that fact because his interests and hers so frequently overlap. sylvester being a good guy who is still very much a noble is actually my favorite thing about him, way too often in isekai stories you get a prankster noble whose carelessness is played off as cute or funny even when it would have extremely real consequences, so having sylvester be a dude who clearly means well but is in no way immune from reinforcing systemic injustice even in his own family is very interesting. although i get why myne doesn't really clash with him over it, i do sometimes wish they kept the somewhat adversarial relationship they had in early aob and i hope that charlotte gets to conflict with sylvester more

Sylvester is a very well meaning guy, who sometimes (in an effort to avoid his children suffering) can be blindsided and ignore the truth.

In his case, regarding Rozemyne and Wilfred, he ignores them both in regards to what they want/need, in favor to what he believes they need.

Yes, he would rather Wilfred be the next aub and sorta of forces the position on him. But he also forces the idea of Rozemyne as his second hand, then wife, on her. He's genuinely trying to help, but he gets blinded by his own past. For a very, very long time he saw himself in Wilfred, and Ferdinand in Rozemyne.

But, even when Wilfred explicitly said he did not want it - the reason why Sylvester didn't accept him relinquishing the position was actually Rozemyne herself.

I can assume it was a huge blow, since granting Wilfred his wish would mean making Rozemyne (a commoner) into an Aub and he couldn't bring himself to do that, for various reasons. He knows Ferdinand would not allow it, it would cause problems with Florencia, and more importantly: Rozemyne herself would hate it. Sylvester actually does care for Rozemyne, in the few ways he can allow himself to care.

He knows that Rozemyne wants nothing to do with politics. She wants to make books and hang out in the temple and with commoners. At that point, keeping them together was not to give Wilfred "what he wanted", but to KEEP Rozemyne and give her what she wanted (and what he duchy needed).

Sylvester is truly a unique interesting case, because he's well-meaning, but messes up sometimes. No one can be sure if his actions are 100% correct, or if it was the best option. But nevertheless, he does try to clean up after the messes he causes, and protect his people.

I rly want to understand the coquette subculture. It seems neat! but I'm so confused. I thought I got it, but the more I look into it, the less coherency I see (at least, in a way I understand). I don't see any consistent color palettes, textiles, topics, ideology, makeup, hairstyles, music, community language or signals. I can see ballgowns & lace w/ glitter & then tshirts and flannels in a dingy laundromat. I've seen people recommend Little Women & American Psycho in the same breath w/ no further elaboration. Celebrities w/ completely separate style influences are often grouped together. I see a lot of idealization of wealthy femininity ("old money", luxury brands, mostly rich celebrities, preppy vibes, heavy amounts of skincare/selfcare/"wellness" routines which cost $$$$) but also lots of depictions life's struggle w mental illness, substance abuse, & others things commonly associated w poverty & lack of class/femininity (Cigarettes, sweatshirts, the aforementioned laundromat, not eating, pills, speculating about Anya Taylor Joy's coping mechanisms??). What is it that unifies y'all? What is it that I'm missing? I feel so lost & I want to figure it out :/

this is a great question and I can totally understand your confusion! the way I see coquette/faunlet is more of an attitude than a specific style/aesthetic but I still call it an aesthetic if that makes any sense. it's about reclaiming your own girlhood in whatever way that looks to you, we all look and dress differently but have the same sorta energy that connects us as a community.

it all began with nymphet, which was all about classic americana, lolita, lana del rey, gingham, coca cola, diners, priscilla presley etc. but the tag got censored by tumblr because many kink blogs were infiltrating this innocent subculture with sexual material. in this era girls were feeling connected to dolores haze from lolita through their own experiences and related to her as a tragic figure.

the community was revived many times but the current home of the community is with @coquette-club which was created by @lovesickbrat and also used by @bbabyyy ♡ there is a lot more to our history that I'm missing out on but if you look on my blog you will find more explanations.

there are many subtypes of coquette which is why you see so many conflicting aesthetics within the tag, from coquette noir (which is like an expression of French new wave film stars, 1920s aesthetics, Betty boop, mainly black outfits etc.) to bubblegum coquette (all things pink and girly, electra heart era marina and the diamonds, barbie etc.) and many coquettes on here either fit into these substyles or blend some together to make their own personal style!

the old money aesthetic is popular but controversial due to its implications, and I'm personally more into the thrifty side of coquette, and using pieces that I've had for years in my looks.

as a community we usually try to distance ourselves from the pro-ed/pro-ana communities as they can be harmful to our vulnerable members, since they promote eds and make them look glamorous which is something we don't want associated with our subculture.

Everyone had suspicions of you at first, after all, everyone questions the new crew member right? But, soon after they spent more time with you, all the crew became so fond of you. They loved eating at the same table, telling goofy stories, all those things. But the one person that needed to have a good opinion of you was the captain. And he absolutely did not. You could tell from a mile away that he didn’t trust you one bit. What did you do wrong..? You were a new thing to Law, and he wasn’t all that comfortable with “new things” being introduced to him so quickly. You tried your best to have fun with the other crew mates, and didn’t pay much attention to Law’s suspicions of you. Your abilities of telekinesis were quite impressive, and made for great party tricks :) you would sometimes make Bepo float in the air, letting him try to swim across the sky. Everyone had so much fun with you. “Wait y/n that was so cool!! Can you make me float again??” Bepo asked with wonder sparkling in his round eyes. The white bear was so adorable, whenever he asked you to do something, how could you ever say no to those eyes?.. Even Law couldn’t get mad at him! “Sure Bepo! Ready?” You asked with a smile, tapping him on the nose before he started floating in the air. You could move him around without using your hands as well, just following him with soft eye-contact. Law always silently watched on the sidelines, his gaze would burn the back of your head because of how harsh his gaze was. You couldn’t help but continue to ask yourself, “What do I do..?” “What did I do wrong?” You came to the conclusion that you may not ever know, so you continued to only focus on Bepo and the others. Their kindness was all you needed. Right?

On a mission, it's required to be proficient in fighting. Law is always most careful when you're tagging along, he watches your every move. He watches your actions for hints of potential betrayal. Every single possibility he's tried to think out, and come up with a plan to counter it. You always felt his harsh eyes staring at you, and you wanted it to stop. You were tired of it! What could you do to prove to him that you weren't the enemy? Maybe if you really outdid yourself this mission, maybe he'd trust you? No wait, why were you doing this to yourself? Worrying about what one brooding man thought about you? You had conflicting thoughts, at the same time, you wanted him to trust you like a friend, but you didn't want to worry about what he thought of you. You shook your head, trying to get all of these messy things out of your head. Your internal debacle was interrupted when you heard a knock at your door. "Bepo's been captured, get up, we're going to the marine encampment." Law said coldly, walking away shortly after that. "Hey- wait what??" You asked, trying to get him to expain what he just said. But, you knew he wasn't going to. Bepo was captured? You felt anger rising in you, how dare they capture one of your friends?? The cuddly friendly bear that always wanted to cheer people up! You got up, tapping a huge metallic staff in the corner of your room. It soon followed you, floating right beside you. It was a rather- large hammer, twice your size, the mettalic cylindrical object on the end was about 4 times your size.. It was hard to guide it through the doorways, but you managed to do it without major complications. As you came out onto the deck of the ship, the others were already gathered around, waiting for the captain to show himself. "Whoa-! Y/n that's huge!" Shachi shouted, in awe of your huge weapon. You laughed, saying that it wasn't THAT large. (It really was-) "Let's move." Law said with the same emotionless expression plastered onto his face. "Don't even think about attacking until I say to." Law said to you, gazing harshly down upon you. "I already told you Trafalgar, I'm not going to attack you. Why can't you just trust me?" You asked with an irritated tone, crossing your arms. "I don't trust anyone." He replied coldly, walking off the ship, his sword swung over his shoulder. "Just- don't mind him.. He's like that sometimes.." Penguin said, trying to cheer you up a bit. You nodded with a gentle smile, telling Penguin that it was alright. You mainly focused on saving your friend, Bepo, you promised yourself that you'd beat all the marines up within seconds to rescue him. No one gets away with capturing your friends.

You made it to the prison encampment, Shachi and Penguin were assigned to help you get Bepo out of there quickly while Law and the others caused a distraction for them to slip inside. The three of you bent down behind three posts, the guards circling the entrace. You heard yelling and shouting, receding footsteps as you peeked your head around the corner. The coast was clear, so you signaled to the two others to follow your lead. They nodded, following you silently. Your weapon floated close to the ground to try to avoid any suspicions. Once you got to the doors, you tried opening one of them, it wouldn't even budge a little. Penguin and Shachi tried the other door, and the same issure occured. "They're locked-!" Shachi whispered loudly, starting to panic. You walked to the side of the building, you understood that the prison sector Bepo was located in was to the right of the entrance. The map that was shown to you of this encampment better be accurate.. You took your weapon, making it float behind you, following the movements of your arm. You then swung your arm down, making your hammer break through the walls with ease. You heard a familiar scream inside, and out came a white hand, a furry one. "Bepo!" You shouted happily, running over to him and giving him a hug, your weapon still following you. "Y/N!!!" He shouted, tears welling up in his eyes as he tackled you down, hugging and squeezing your tightly. You couldn't breathe while being suffocated by the bear's tight hug. "This is good, now let's head back to the captain!" Penguin said with a grin, leading the group back towards where Law and the others were supposed to be. Bepo was still crying about how you were so kind to save him, and how he thought he was going to die there. The entire time, he was trying to cuddle with your arm as you 4 ran. "Bepo- I wasn't going to leave you there! You're all my friends, and I'll save you no matter what." You said with a smile. Bepo gasped, smiling back and giving a thumbs up. Penguin and Shachi grinned at your statement, laughing happily, "Same with you y/n! You're our friend." Penguin said with a smile. You couldn't help but feel so happy inside, being called a friend was always so comforting to hear.. At least some of the crew saw you that way.

When you 4 got to the specified meeting location, everyone was there, but they were all looking depressed and defeated. "Hey what happened?!" Shachi shouted, trying to get an answer. "The captain's fending him off.. You gotta go help him!" Uni shouted angrily, clenching his fists with frustration. Your eyes widened, and you started to run in the direction that Ikkaku pointed at. "WAIT- Y/N!" Bepo shouted worriedly. But you were too far gone, the sound of a battle was up ahead, nearing you quickly. Once you reached the top of the hills, you saw Law and an unfamiliar giant fighting each other. The man was absolutely huge, bigger than most buildings.. Law grunted, using his ability to teleport towards the giant's eye-level, getting ready to strike a massive blow. The giant grinned, grabbing Law with his hand, squeezing and constricting him like a snake. Law grunted in pain, coughing up blood from the pressure. You instantly jumped down from the hill, Law was about to die. You couldn't let that happen while you're watching! Your weapon flew towards the giant with such speed, you didn't even know you could make your weapon go that far. It slammed into the giant's head, slamming him to the ground and letting go of Law, letting him fall out of the sky. You then started sprinting towards the giant, repeatedly beating him down with your hammer. Your strikes were strong, accurate, and quite destructive. Everything around a 400ft radius was destroyed or blown away by you. You jumped into the air, making yourself float higher by holding the object on your belt. The harness on your body allowed you to make only the clothes float, allowing you to fly with them. "See ya giant guy!" You shouted, rocks flying up behind you. The giant's eyes widened, trying to prepare a defensive stance. All was too late. Your barrage of final attacks started. "METEOR'S DESCENT!" You yelled with a powerful tone. With one swift movement of your arm, the rocks flew towards the giant, stabbing into his body and breaking his bones. Your movements made all of this seem so- effortless... Law was shocked as he watched you defeat his enemy. Your hammer then slammed into the Giant's stomach, sending him flying into the air, only to never be seen.

Your battle ended with you being victorious. But, with Law severely injured, you had to help him walk back to where the others were. An awkward silence filled the air, and it was painful just to sit there and not talk.. "Thank you, y/n." He said quietly. "Trust me now?..." You asked with an annoyed tone. "..." He didn't say a word, and you pulled him by his collar, grabbing his hurt arm as he grunted in pain. "I asked you a question Trafalgar.." You said threataningly, your face inches away from his. "Yes- I trust you- now let go of my arm!" He yelled, pulling his arm away and wincing. "Oops- sorry-" You replied with a laugh. He looked towards you laughing and giggling, and couldn't help but have a tint of pink on his cheeks. Your smile was so kind and contagious, he'd never admit that... In his mind, he was yelling at himself, "Why are you getting flustered?! You're supposed to be suspicious of them! No. I'm not- I'm not fond of them! Not at all." He thought to himself, internally screaming at his debate with himself. "Trafalgar, you ok?" You asked, snapping him out of his head as he looked towards you with his eyes wide. "Am I that scary?!" You shouted with a confused look on your face as he grunted, clenching his teeth. "No-! I- you just suddenly yelled at me-" He replied, trying his best to not let his cheeks turn pink. You stared at his face, why was he flushed?? You pulled him down by his collar again, and he grunted, staring into your eyes. "Why are you so pink?? Are you sick? Fever? It's kinda chilly out here.." You asked him, inspecting him closely. Your oblivious actions made him so flustered and embarrassed, "Just stop- I'm fine." He replied, pushing you away as he walked on ahead of you quickly. You sighed with confusion, was this always how he acted? He's so- awkward now.. You didn't understand quite why, but you thought it was kind of cute. Dark and brooding Law was actually an awkward grumpy guy. He clenched his tattooed hands, why was he feeling this way?.. He wasn't supposed to. This wasn't right. He breathed in and out heavily, trying to calm himself down. You then rushed passed him, seeing Bepo and the others running towards you both. He grunted, sighing with fatigue as he followed you at his own slow pace. "Y/n! You saved him!!" Bepo shouted with excitement, hoisting you up onto his shoulders. You laughed, smiling as you all jumped around with excitement and happiness. Law smiled softly at your emotions and actions, your smile was always so.. Perfect. That was the only word he could find to describe it. Despite how he tried to deny his feelings, it was extremely hard not to like you as much as he did. He trusted you, enough to have feelings for you.. It would take him a LONG time to admit those things, maybe he would never say anything. Law was a man who never wanted to admit anything about his feelings, especially if they were for someone else. He sighed, struggling to put his feelings behind him, but they were like a shadow. They always followed him. Just like you always would.

Ok so i actually have a shit ton of oc but the main ones are Maria and Aelius as they are the main characters of a story I’m making. My friend’s oc Romeo is also important to the story

I have two oc stories, one doesn’t really have a name but basically takes place over tens of years in medieval Europe (basic i know) but it follows the rivalry between a knight named Courage and an “oracle” named Destiny. They’re both immortal btw and they’re basically humanized concepts of courage and destiny. I do have a drawing of Destiny posted. It should be in my “oc: destiny” tag.

The other story is actually a collection of stories. The series is called god & goddesses bc i don’t have a permanent name for it.

So far there’s 4 stories which are all interconnected and two are sorta interconnected but the most developed, important, and oldest one (4 years old!!) is the last story.

I’ll try to summarize it in a way that is still understandable but it’s basically colonization and genocide through the eyes of a god.

Ok some background information bc you’re gonna need it:

There are several religions existing in the world. These religions are divided into major (large) religions and minor (small, folk) religions. Every god from every religion (granted that they have enough believers) exist

Gods from the major religions (major gods) created something called the Major Pantheon which is consisted of every major god

The major gods created a sort of government to basically make sure major conflicts between religions don’t break out

The people in the government are called Higher Gods

There are laws in the major pantheon that apply to all gods

There is a social hierarchy but its not as important to this story

I’m not gonna list all the laws out but the important ones are (the bully points after this isn’t indented bc idk how to indent on mobile):

Gods are not allowed to create cults, encourage the creation of cults, or engage with cult members

Gods are only allowed minor interactions with humans (there’s more to this law but the rest isn’t that important to the story)

Maria is a major goddess of spring, she has a younger sister, Anastasia, and two older sisters, Tatiana and Olya (if you recognize these names from somewhere, no you don’t). Theta recall based off of seasons, Tatiana is especially important because she is also a higher god. She is also mixed white and indigenous (located around Eastern Europe and north Asia)

Aelius is a sun god from another religion (which i will call the Old Religion). While he is powerful and trusted, he is not a higher god. He is white (would be Mediterranean irl)

Romeo is in love with Aelius and a human, he is a poc

It’s told as a myth from a young woman, a foreigner, to a boy who’s native to the village the woman has immigrated to.

The myth tells the tale of Maria who is forced to leave her home and disguise herself as a human after Aelius destabilizes the major pantheon, murders and influences gods to murder each other, including Maria’s family. After the village she was hiding in is taken over by Aelius’s soldiers, Maria is forced to relocate to the Empire which is under Aelius’s control. There she finds an underground revolution and joins in. When the Revolution breaks out, it seems to have a chance of actually succeeding until the military is called in and crushes the Revolution in a massacre. Maria is distraught but then creates a plan to infiltrate the religious system and get close enough to kill Aelius. She is taken in as a seamstress’s apprentice. She eventually meets a man named Romeo who wanders in, wanting to be taught how to sew. They end up striking a friendship and Maria becomes comfortable enough to talk about her ideals and goals of revolution. Turns out, Romeo is actually the leader of Aelius’s religion, and disguised himself as a commoner to escape his role that he feels uncomfortable and unfit for. Romeo doesn’t dare to expose his identity but he does end up internalizing some of Maria’s beliefs and working to subtly implement them. Maria does eventually find Romeo’s true identity and feel betrayed but decides to use her friendship with Romeo to her advantage. Before maria kickstarts the revolution, she does confront Romeo about being in universe pope, they basically talk it out and shit. Maria begins the revolution by fighting and murdering Aelius and then sets fire to the capital of the empire.

There’s more to this and i can explain it to you in detail if you want but yeah that’s basically the summary of story 4 of g&g. I also would love to talk about certain themes of story 4 like divinity as dehumanization if you want me to. Honestly, considering the show/writers never acknowledged Daphne’s marital rape of her husband, and they only had a slight acknowledgment of Edwina’s feelings on Kate x Anthony, like I don’t think there will be a satisfactory resolution to Pen’s betrayal of the Bridgertons (Marina/Colin and Eloise/Theo) or of Eloise’s “friendship” with Cressida (and anything else she might do as “revenge”).

I think they’ll blow over the latter “I said I’d rather die than be her friend and I still mean it” and hugs all around or some other scene like that (which I know is simple and that’s my point). And Pen will apologize and confess that cause she’s so in love with Colin and she wanted to be noticed and she’ll be forgiven without much else from Colin. And maybe a little more for Eloise, if that.

They forgive her for Whistledown in the books, Colin is worried more about her being revealed as Whistledown than her writing shit about him (tho nothing she writes is like Marina/Colin is not in the books. Daphne basically forgives her for anything she wrote about that but tbh she doesn’t seem to mind anyway). And, they like sorta acknowledge it as “wtf” thing, but it’s blown over quickly imo. “Oh well that’s nice dear” sorta reaction. And Eloise does have even more of a backbone than in the books but idk I just don’t see why and what people seem to want out of Bridgerton.

Eloise is going to somehow befriend and fall in love with Crane! You’re telling me the girl running around with Theo and “radicals” will suddenly fall for the guy boring the fuck out of Marina?

Like, I’m sorry but Bridgerton is pretty people hooking up with a regency background. They will not “do right” by most people’s standards of how the characters should act and how to apologize (Daphne and Simon make up after professing deep love in the rain! Anthony is shocked into confessing for real cause Kate fell of a horse! It’s for DRAMA, and then it’s resolved kinda easily?)

I’ve seen some more of nuanced takes against Pen, at least these people aren’t reducing her to a fat villain (cause when they did that I could not take them seriously 😒). And honestly a lot of it is fair, that’s good! The writers don’t care.

But now I keep seeing people hating Eloise to the point that they want a comeuppance that is not proportional to her “revenge”…and like… it won’t be as serious as y’all are making it to be. This “revenge”. Like please, the writers aren’t going to suddenly take this world seriously. See above and those are just 1 example for each season!

If they wanted to acknowledge all the hurt Pen put people through and make her work to become a better person, they could! I just don’t think they will because it’s 8 episodes per season and in this season they’re trying to find a way to get Colin and Pen together and Eloise and Pen as friends again by end of season. I don’t think they’ll extend a conflict into Ben’s season (I actually hope they don’t, I like Ben and Sophie’s story for the most part and while I love Anthony and Kate they shouldn’t be the focus either).

Idk what people expect I guess. if you’re watching it for Pen to be taken down a notch… might not be the season for you. If you’re hate watching I guess tag it with “anti” whatever and not the regular tags?

I’m sorry if you think she does not deserve an happy ending, I don’t necessarily disagree that she’s undeserving of some crow eating for what she’s done. However, I don’t think the writers care to make her go through that. And I don’t watch Bridgerton for brilliant character development that I think some of y’all want.

That being said I’m curious about how they’ll manage LW post Colin x Penelope marriage. In the books it basically disappears, and maybe they can use that to have a build up to Pen! However that means to me making their relationship last longer than as season and I do not want that for any of the couples.
