He didn't know why he was so upset at the sight before him. You were currently sitting in your Defence Against the Dark Arts class, waiting for the professor to begin.

It wasn't just you at your table. There were also two boys, whose names you can't remember. They were both bragging about different things to you, one about Quidditch, the other about his amazing skills in Herbology.

It was a painful sight to watch, seeing as Sebastian was sat at the table just behind you. From where he was, he could very obviously tell they were trying to flirt with you. It bothered him deeply, why would these guys ever think they had a chance with you?

Smart, beautiful, perfect you. Things he all believed. Of course, he didn't think anything of it. Why wouldn't he acknowledge how beautiful you were? That was just simple human nature. But that didn't stop him from wondering why he was so bothered by the guys flirting with you.

He hated the thought of them doing anything with you. Talking with you, kissing you, touching you. The thought made his blood boil.

This wasn't the first time this had happened. Sebastian can recall the many times your chats were interrupted by another guy trying to take you on a date. Of course, you said no each time, but it wasn't any less annoying to him. He'd learned to refrain from rolling his eyes at this point, but still silently cursed the lads in his head.

"Alright, everyone! Take a seat." Professor Hecat spoke, allowing the two boys at your table to sit at their respective seats.

"Today, we are going to be doing something a little different. I want you to each partner up with someone, and then I will be explaining the rest." You immediately got up, about to go towards Sebastian when another boy got in your way, Liam, if you can remember correctly.

"Hey, Y/N, wanna partner up?" Sebastian couldn't stop himself from rolling his eyes this time. You paused for a moment, trying to find a way to politely reject the boy.

"Erm, sorry... Liam, right? I'm afraid I've already partnered up with Sebastian." The brunette boy lit up at your words, suddenly feeling confident and looking at Liam with a smug face.

The other boy nodded with a tight lip smile, before leaving, defeated. You sat down next to Sebastian, who now had a bright smile on his face. "What are you all smiley about?" You teased.

"Nothing, let's listen for Professor Hecat's instructions, yeah?" Both you and him brushed it off, spending the rest of the class chatting up a storm and doing the assignment.

A few days have passed, and it just so happened to be Valentine's Day. You and Sebastian had gone to The Three Broomsticks to drink a butter beer together, as your own 'Galentine's Day', though you weren't sure if you could call it that because Sebastian wasn't a girl, but you were both single so the concept was the same.

You were sipping on your drink, enjoying each other's company when you see a guy who you recognize from your Charms class, someone whose tried to ask you out before, approach you.

"Y/N? It's Patrick, from Charms? I was wondering if maybe you'd wanna get a drink with me." This visibly angered Sebastian, his grip on his glass tightening, knuckles turning white. Before you could speak, Sebastian decided to tell Patrick a few words of his own.

"Don't you see that she's busy with me right now? And I don't know if it's clicked in that noggin of yours, but have you ever considered that maybe she's just not into you?" His voice was slightly raising at this point, but you couldn't help but find it attractive.

Patrick's eyes widened a little before backing up, muttering an apology and walking away. You turned to face Sebastian. "Why did you do that? You didn't even let me get a word in."

"Oh, please, Y/N, didn't you see how he was looking at you? It's like you were a chocolate frog and he was ready to eat you! Trust me, he's not the right guy for you." You quirked an eyebrow at his statement.

"Then who is?" You watched as he hesitated for a moment, before taking a sigh as if to prepare himself, and looked you in the eyes.

"I am," You stared at him in shock, not knowing what to say at the sudden confession.

"Y/N, I'm not sure why I didn't come to this realization sooner, but I've fallen for you. Deeply. I mean, we've gone through everything together, and you're just so perfect. You're truly one of the most amazing people I've ever known, and I've never felt this way about anyone be-"

You cut him off by leaning forward and capturing his lips with your own, catching him off guard. He's thrown off at first, but quickly matches your rhythm with his own, your lips fitting together like puzzle pieces, sparks flying everywhere in the room.

The kiss is everything and more. With his mouth still on yours, he grabs your chair, pulling you in closer, before moving his hands to you, one on your face, holding your cheek, the other holding your hand.

You both break apart, breathless with stupid smiles on your faces. "I've been waiting forever for you to say that." You grab his hand with both of yours.

If it was possible, his smile got even wider at your words. "You have?" You nodded, figuring it was time to confess.

"You've given me absolute butterflies since the moment I met you, Sebastian. I had all but hoped that you felt the same way. Why do you think I've always rejected the guys that flirted with me?

It's because it's you. It's only been you." You lean in for another kiss before Sebastian suggests a real date, perfectly fitting the day. The two of you leave The Three Broomsticks, feeling happier than ever before.

Hanako is always so cheerful and friendly, even when he is pretty open with his feeling it actually take him a while to accept them and to accept to be in a relationship with you. You being a exorsist isn't a problem for him, at first was something that startled him but you had showed him so much kindness that he grows comfortable around you

Hanako tend to do a lot of jokes about you being are exorsist, about how even when being one you end up dating a supernatural, or how he probably had defeat you by stealing your heart, and so on, but even when he makes a lot of jokes he never underestimated you, he knows what you are capable of and he respects and admire your strength

Just as he loves making jokes about you being an exorsist he LOVES bragging about your strength, he will tell everyone who is willing to heard (and those who aren't too), he is always talking about how stronge you are, about your power and the techniques you just show/teach him, about how amazing you look, he is just too excited and in love to shut up

Speaking of, even when he knows you are really stronge (probably even stronger than him) that doesn't stop him from stepping in front of you and shield you whenever you two find an agressive supernatural. He knows you are stronge but he will hate for something to happen to you, he doesn't want to lose you

Is probably that at least once you will protect him from the attack of a supernatural (or Teru another exorsist), even when he is the leader of the mysteries that doesn't mean he can't be hurt, so when you are the one protecting him he feels completely flattered, he feels small and vulnerable in the way that he feels completely safe, like he doesn't have to be the stronge and powerful honorable 7th for once

Hanako doesn't know what he loves more of you, if your strength or your kindness, your power based in the water is one of a kind, even when fighting you can be as gentle and comforting as a pleasant breeze or be powerful and destructive like a tsunami, also, just as the water, you can easily adapt to your surroundings, quickly getting used to the battlefield and fighting with elegancy. Hanako is completely mesmerize by your fighting style and doesn't lose the chance to see you fight, admiring every move you do but still on guard to step in and protect you in case things get out of hand (however he doesn't accept that out loud, never, he only says that he was sure you will do it)

As if it wasn't enough you kindness is the perfect complement, your sweet smile and gentleness while treating him always make him flustered, it took him a while to get used to be treaten with such kindness and even when he felt like he was handling it you just accept him as he is, as the supernatural, as the assassin, and you did it with a smile in your face, he doesn't feel like he deserve it but he doesn't want to lose it either

Hanako is always being playfuly and clingy towards you, always making jokes and teasing you with everything he can, both of you always have a lot of fun, but there are also moments when he just want to be with you in silent, doing nothing but basking in your presence for how comforting it is for him, for how much peace brings him, for how it calms the cruel past that hurts him but isn't ready to talk about

Rainy days remind him of you (but also make him feel a little melancholy, even if you are in the school taking classes), specially the ones where is raining just a little, when is soft and gentle, he tend to stay out let the rain fall on his phantasmagoric body, it isn't like he will get sick anyways actually this is a lie, he gets sick sometimes for doing it, but he doesn't mind at all

Nene Yashiro

Yashiro constantly has crushes on people she finds atractive, normally are crushes that doesn't last long but are stubborn, it was almost imposible for her to don't fall for your kindness and beautiful smiles however the love she felt at first started to grow stronger and more sincere, to the point where it was sure to say that she was in love

Your warm hearted personality always manage to make Yashiro flustered, whenever you are being kind towards her Yashiro quickly gets blushy and flustered, things like offering her your hand and being willing to help her always make her feel special and loved, like if it were out of a romantic novel, although even little things like smiling when you see her or asking her about her day tend to make her heart skip a beat

Even when your kindness is something that Yashiro finds completely endearing and attractive she can easily get jealous over it, she likes whenever you are being kind towards others and other appreciating your kindness too, but it doesn't take much time before she start to feel jealous over it and the more time it past the more it affects her, she could go from feeling threaten for other people to feel insecure and compare herself with others, is pretty obvious that she feels down but she doesn't want to say it directly

Yashiro doesn't pry much details about you, specially at first, is more likely she will know more and more about you as the time pass, that is why is more probably that, if you don't tell her, she will find out about you being an exorsist when you two are dating already

She could get to know that you are an exorsist for seeing you fight or someone telling her, even as an accident, but no matter how she finds out it would be incredibly surprising for her, it would even take some reasurance for her to fully accept because for your personality she never thought that you will even fight anyone

At first Yashiro though that she was the one who brought you to the mess with the supernaturals and even felt bad about it but now that she knows that you are an exorsist (and a powerful one) she feels a lot better, even she start asking your help anytime she gets into troubles or hide behind you when is scare (something that make her feel a little embarrassed)

Yashiro doesn't think much about your power but as she find out that your fighting style is based in water she grows really curious, she has an idea of how it could be but want to see it herself (not that she will put herself in danger just to be able to see it)

Yashiro knows you are powerful but actually getting to see you fight is a whole new thing for her, she can only describe seeing you fight as if you were dancing perfectly, like if it were everything around you what change to follow your lead, doing it with so much elegancy and majesty that make her heart skip a beat, and from that day she looks up at you even more and is really flustered by it

She like to brag about you (even when she got teased and end up being a flustered mess for it) because you are perfect in her eyes, you aren't just incredibly kind but also incredibly powerful, she thinks she can't have a better partner

Kou Minamoto

Getting into a relationship with Kou won't be too difficult, if you two like each other he doesn't see why not, however he is quite flustered by being in a relationship, it would take him a while and even so there will always be something new that manage to make him flustered and blushy around you

Your kindness is something that make him fall for you almost imediatly, being so warm hearted make Kou feels comfortable around you almost imediatly and it doesn't pass much time before he actively search for your company. He isn't strange to kindness but, somehow, everytime you are directly kind towards him he feels special, it makes his heart feels faster because he just feels like if you were an angel

As well, Kou never feels jealous when you are being kind towards others, he actually likes seeing you show kindness and a sweet smile to everyone else, it makes him proud of who you are, and even more because he is dating you

Kou talks about you quite a lot, he can't just stop doing it and is a little embarrassed everytime someone point it out, but more whenever someone tease him for it (his friends and even his brother). He is proud of you as the person who you are but you being an exorsist, and a powerful one, make him even more proud and even make him feel honored of being your boyfriend

Is probably that he didn't know you are an exorsist at first (is more likely Teru is the one who knows) but even in that case it won't take him long to find out since he himself is an exorsist, when he get to know he doesn't underestimated you but treat you as an equal (unless someone tells him how powerful you actually are), so the moment he actually get to know your true strength he feels flustered but a little embarrassed, but that feelings are quickly replace by the excitement (if he gets to know by seeing you fight will be even more impressive for him)

Kou will ask you a lot of things about you being an exorsist out of excitment, he is so curious about your training, how long you have being an exorsist, with how many supernaturals you had fight with and how much you know about the supernaturals. Kou even compare your strengh with Teru's strength only because he says that you two probably are as stronge as each other (he mean it as a compliment, the only time Kou compare you to someone else is to praise you)

After Kou gets used to the idea he will treat you as always and not as some kind of superior when it comes to exorcism or supernatural, and, also, Kou will ask you if you could teach him some things about your own style because he wants to grow stronger

Kou is completely surprised when he gets to know that your style is based on water but he quickly grows incredibly curious, wanting to know how it works and wanting to see you fight. Kou is satisfied if you only explain him how it works or even let him see when you train, but actually seeing you fight it completely mesmerize him, he is normally protective over you, specially when it comes to supernatural, imediatly shielding you without a doubt but seeing you carry the fight is new to him and he love it

After the first time he sees you fight he will only grow more and more mesmerize and curious about your power, asking you more and wanting to see more of it. Soon he will know why it is based in the water, whit that incredible adaptability it has, not matter how it is the battlefield, big or small, filled of things or empty, you always manage to walk as if that place were your home and fight like if you were in the perfect scenario

As well, he is amased and shocked by how you handle your power, you can express your usual kindness in soft attacks that doesn't make suffer anyone or wipe out everything like a powerful hurricane

Kou is constantly praising you and openly telling you how proud he is of you, for your kind personality and for your strength, and he will never grow tired of it

Teru Minamoto

Getting into a relationship with Teru it would take a little bit of time and effort, even when he is always kind and charming all of that is mostly a facade, both has to be close friends first and he has to be able to feel comfortable enough around you before getting into a relationship. You being an exorsist it makes things much easier since is more likely you two had work together at least once and probably know each other for a while now

Teru loves your warm hearted personality, you're always willing to help others and offer a sincere smile, he finds it cute and endearing, even a little hilarious considering that you are a powerful exorsist, he loves watching you interact with others and showing that infinite kindness

Teru can get jealous easy but he doesn't show it much, normally tries to don't do anything about it, he is your boyfriend and that helps him calm down his jealousy, however when is too much he will step in and steal your attention from the others, but it could easily go unoticed since he does it with a smile and kind words, he always find the perfect excuses

Your kindness always manage to warm Teru's heart and that lead him to be protective over you, for his duty as an exorsist he had to give up many things and mature at an early age but being in a relationship with you despite everything makes him feel really happy and he wants to protect that, he sometimes end up underestimating you and sometimes thinks that for being so kind you are also inocent

More than once Teru had step in front of you to shield you from supernatural or try to be faster on attacking in order to protect you, he just want be able to protect you (and sometimes he likes to show off a little in front of you), he normally does it out of insist (due of being the main exorsist for so long too) if you complain and ask him to let you do your work he apologize for it and tries to hold back

Teru is intriged by your fighting style, he had been raised in the Minamoto Clan, following the tradicional fighting style of the family so he had never come across a fighting style based in water and he wants to learn from you, not exactly to use it but how it works. Teru finds it incredibly interesting but what he finds more amusing is seeing you use it

He admires your adaptability and how versatile you can be while fighting, that way you two to can fight together without much troubles, even become a powerful couple, and Teru is grateful for it for different reasons, he can be sure you are safe, he can spend a lot of time together and it makes things easier for him, he doesn't have to be the only one who carries the weight of being the strongest

But as much as he love your strength it also wakes in him an wish to challenge you, and he does whenever things are more calm or he knows is something you can easily handle

As well, as much as Teru loves your kindness and warm hearted personality he feels like is a waste of time whenever you show kindness towards supernaturals, even more when you do gentle but direct attacks while fighting, in his eyes the supernatural doesn't deserve that kindness and he isn't afraid of telling you his opinion right away, however he won't stop you from doing it if you really want

If you ask why? He just says there's no reason, he just wanted to hug you.

• out of all of them? I think he'd have the sweetest nicknames. No not because I'm picking favorites, even spy isn't this sweet with his partners. Obviously. OK I'm joking MAYBEEE I just have favorites. But also he's a texan with a voice smooth as silk of course he calls people pet names.

• I think he's a petname type of person where he has resorted to calling you his love than using your name. he still uses it, only when he's being serious or something happened.

You let him do his thing, giving him a kiss on his forehead and leaving him alone. Once your gone, OHHH MAN HE IS A BLUSHY DORK. "Archimedes...did you hear what they called me? Honey! I know right? I am their honey! Ahahahhaa!" brags to his bird and actually takes that break just for you. He will not admit it, but his heart skips a bear when you call him that.

• oh he's very much a nickname person. He just doesn't have much to call you. not the most affectionate man with his words, more of a physical touch guy. but nicknames help with that :)

Of course he’d rather spend time with you as much as possible, so he might interrupt and distract you from your games, but I don’t think he’d turn it into a big problem, yk. “Babe can we go out?” “Babe i want your attention, you’ve been playing for 2 hours straight now” and ofc, as a good simp, you would stop playing and start giving attention to your boyfriend. He’s a really sweet guy, he would do anything for you, so when you’d ask him to play valorant with him, he’d hesitate at first but accept it. Same as Oliver, but this time you are sitting on his legs while he leads your hands on the mouse and keyboard. Asher 🌹 Riddle n Asher dont interact much but they dont have any negative views on each other. Neither have different conflicts of interest nor does anything that the other would see as wrong. Asher is respectful towards Riddle n while he thinks Riddle has a bit of anger issues he rather look at his skills as a mage. ♠️ Asher n Deuce have a v good friendship! Deuce loves knowing small bits n pieces of his future like what might happen tomorrow or n 20 years just small mundane things rather than big important things. Deuce has asked Asher to keep anything thats important to himself because he thinks thats to much to know. Asher is very fond of Deuce as he can tell he isnt wanting to know his future for gain but rather a curiosity n to Asher thats very respectable. ⭐ Asher usually has to limit Kalim to no more than 4 questions a day because loves getting his future told n will even ask Asher what he will b doing 5 mins from now. So while Asher loves kalims excitement he cant use his UM all the time on whims for Kalim. Sometimes Asher will tell Kalim small lies like what he will b eating for lunch which Kalim gets excited about Asher future predictions not knowing Asher can smell what food is packed in his lunch box.

Azar 🐍 n  👑 already answered here! ♣️ Azar finds Trey rather boring and unimpressive he thinks Trey could do so much more with his UM than make sweets taste different. Azar also isnt a fan of sweets n baked goods so he doesnt even find his cooking to b something to brag about. While Trey finds Azar a little to much to handle the tiger beastmen is a little to intense for him. Trey rather stay out of Azar’s way n when they r face to face he acts nice so that Azar doesnt get to competitive or see him as a challenge.  

Rusty 🔥 Idia hates Rusty and thinks hes a cheat. Rusty always winning every game he plays even f its his first time not to mention always getting lucky pulls on gacha. Idia just knows hes cheating but doesnt know how to prove it. Rusty isnt much of a gamer but he like everyone else likes to win so he does use his UM to boost his odds he thinks Idia’s reactions to him always winning r funny so he keeps doing it. Rusty has offered to pull for Idia but the other always refuses saying he doesnt need others luck. 🐲 Malleus can tell Rusty is a powerful mage and can sense that he has strong magic he just doesnt know what Rusty is able to do or how strong Rusty actually is. He doesnt buy Rusty’s just a average person façade n knows he concealing his true magic. This makes Malleus very weary of him as he doesnt know who Rusty is or what Rusty is doing with so much magic. Rusty knows Malleus can see thru him so he never uses his UM around him so he wont b able to pick up on it. Rusty isnt scared of Malleus but will pretend to b like everyone else so he doesnt stand out to much and avoids Malleus as much as possible the less ppl who know how strong he is the better.   🐾 Ruggie can tell when some ones lying and Rusty is def lying about something he just doesnt know what. But then again Ruggie doesnt really care much to find out all he really knows is good things happen when Rusty is around so therefore he cant b that bad of a guy. Rusty likes Ruggie n find his uncaring attitude towards his secrets refreshing as he doesnt have to worry about not using his UM around Ruggie. As Ruggie likely wont figure it out exact n Rusty can give Ruggie a little bit of luck to go on his day. N sevens knows he needs it when taking care of Leona.

sapnap would give you so many compliments omg. he loves making you all smiley and blushy :) he just wants to make sure that you are always aware of the fact that he thinks you’re the most perfect thing to ever exist

B is for Bond (What kind of bond do you guys have? What could your relationship be labeled as?)

the best friend couple!!! sapnap tells you literally everything. any drama going on or any strong emotions he’s feeling, you know about it. most of the time, the second something happens his brain immediately goes “omg i have to tell y/n”. you guys always complain about the same things and get excited over the same things. you are genuinely one of the most important people in his life and he doesn’t know how he’d do it without you.

C is for Comfort (How do they comfort their s/o?)

he will literally drop everything just to hold you and not speak for like hours if you so needed. he strikes me as a naturally comforting person to the people he really cares about so I say he gets an A+ in this department

D is for Dates (What are dates with them like?)

dates with sapnap are either really chill or super fun. he’s the type of guy that would take you to play laser tag or to an arcade or a trampoline park. he’s like a little kid i love sapnap :3

he’s a pretty expressive person when it comes to certain things. at the very least he definitely wears his heart on his sleeve a little so it isn’t hard to tell even if he does try hiding stuff. and like I said he tells you everything.

I feel like he’s so young and he really just wouldn’t be thinking about that too seriously for awhile. like he loves you and you guys have talked about having a future together but he isn’t in any rush at all. hell just do it when he feels is the right time not matter how long it takes.

G is for Gentle (Are they gentle?)

it depends on the situation. he’s definitely the type of guy to pick you up from a super comfy position and just body slam you on the bed. but if he can tell you’re not in the mood to play around like that he’ll just sit down and hold you, so yeah he can be gentle. but most of the time be prepared for playful fist fights and getting picked up and thrown every now and then lol.

H is for Hand Holding (How do they like hand holding?)

sapnap always holds your hand. in fact he makes an effort to search for it whenever you aren’t holding hands. and sometimes he’ll even get whiny about it especially with like a lot of people around he’ll be like, “babe, why aren’t you holding my hand :( what if I get lost how are you gonna find me this place is big”

I is for I Love You (Who said “I love you” first?)

he did !! the first time sapnap said “I love you” was probably one of his most confident moments. he was so proud to be able to say it and so sure of himself and his feelings for you.

J is Jealousy (Do they get jealous?)

YES OH MY GOD. he gets super jealous and it’s so easy to tell omg. his attitude starts to get like super bad and he is very clearly annoyed by the situation. he won’t ever be too overbearing about it and if you ever feel like he is once you sit him down and explain that he’ll back off a bit. but he’s still gonna be bothered by it so just always remind him that he love him and no one else.

K is for Kiss (What’s kissing them like?)

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IM ACTUALLY GOING TO BE DESCRIPTIVE SO IM SORRY IF ITS CRINGE. anyways, he’d be a pretty deep kisser but not like full on making out every single time. he just likes to make them last and he isn’t one to just give you random kisses all throughout the day so it always feels special. kissing him makes you feel all warm and happy inside.

L is for Love Language (What’s their love language?)

sapnaps love language is quality time or acts of service!! i’d say mainly quality time. even while long distance he just likes having you on call while he does stuff or even just complaining to you about how tired he is while actively not going to bed so he can keep talking to you lol. he just likes having you around it’s a huge comfort for him. i say acts of service because he would get so giddy and happy anytime you did something special for him. he would show it off and brag about it forever and it would genuinely mean so much to him aahhajdxh i love sapnap

M is for Memories (Their favourite memory with their s/o?)

For your first time seeing each other irl, sapnap flew to where you live and you guys spent a whole week together. his favorite memories are definitely from that first week of seeing each other in person. of course you guys already had an amazing relationship while long distance, but there’s something so different about finally meeting the person you’re with in real life. it felt like he had to start over from scratch and you guys had to get to know each other all over again. also the idea of now having to build a physical bond. it was just such an amazing and beautiful experience. definitely the one that made him realize he really is in love with you.

IM SO BAD AT THINKING OF CUTE NAMES USHSJDH. probably just babe tho lol. for fem!readers, i can totally picture him using princess in a slightly sarcastic tone.

mmm i’d say he actually starts opening up to you pretty early into the relationship. If you guys were like really close friends before hand he’s definitely already opened up to you. He doesn’t really have that many people in his life that he doesn’t trust.

P is for PDA (Are they into PDA?)

not really but he isn’t like super shy about it if that makes sense ??? like he’s 100% fine with hand holding, hugging, and light pecks when saying hello or goodbye.

I don’t think he really tries to remember stuff but he just does and he’s always making connections to you and things he sees and stuff it’s so cute :)

he tries but he isn’t exactly the most romantic boy. like I said before you guys have a best friend type of connection so when it comes to romance he doesn’t go too above and beyond because he just doesn’t feel like he needs to. but on special occasions he will do something nice for you. very much of both. once again, total sapnap vibes. i’d say he’s a lot more possessive than protective. he would never stop you from doing things like going out without him and having guy friends or making flirty jokes. he trusts you so much partly cus he’s a little narcissistic LMAO. but when a serious threat comes about he can get kinda crazy.

GAAAAAA HE PUTS SO MUCH EFFORT IN!! you would probably be like his first ever serious partner so he would try his best at literally everything. in the beginning of the relationship you could totally tell how nervous he was at times but as you guys got more comfortable he just became an effortlessly amazing bf

May - Part I

It’s the Monday before your flight.

April had come and April had gone and you were still struggling to focus on anything but your kids and issues with Harry. You suppose that’s okay, your next deadline was months away and with the trip coming up all you could focus on were those things. 

Mother’s Day had slipped your mind completely. You were busy making lists and triple checking flight info to even think of asking the kids and Harry about their plans. 

“How was your weekend? Everything went well?” Dr. Walsh’s voice forces you to look up from the new watch that adorns your wrist. 

You glance at Harry, who waits for you to answer. You shrug. “It was nice… Harry and the kids treated me yesterday.” 

The watch is a beautiful rose gold color and is a thin band compared to the band of your last watch. Your kids initials had been engraved onto the inner band. It was, by all means, a lovely and well thought out gift. Not only replacing the watch you had worn for a decade and had finally snapped, but reminding of the best parts of your life. 

“Tell me about your day!” Dr. Walsh smiles kindly. Her eyes move between you and Harry, polite and u judging, before landing on your wrist.

“I got breakfast, at the table, breakfast in bed is too hectic with three kids and a baby.” You laugh softly, thinking of the kids and their not well hidden excitement for your day. “And they all got me gifts. The twins made clay handprints in school. Seph picked out a new wallet for me and even bought it on her own!” 

It’s impossible to contain your happiness that rolls off of you when you talk about the kids. Bragging about their thoughtfulness and kind gifts makes you almost forget where you are.

“That sounds so lovely.” Dr. Walsh brings you back down. Your eyes move to Harry. His eyes are open and he’s smiling softly as you speak. But his fingers are fidgeting in his lap and you know he had hoped you would be proud of his gift too. 

And you were. But maybe that was the worst part. That it was kind hearted and well thought out and so very Harry that you almost hated it. You hated how one small gift had caused a sliver of hope to crawl into your bloodstream and make your heart race for him again. 

That it made you believe, for one brief moment, all his promises and words about never falling out of love with you and never wanting to let you go. 

“Harry got me a watch too.” You finally say, quiet and full of despair. “Mine snapped a few weeks ago… It has the kids initials in it. It was a good day.” 

Dr. Walsh nods. “It’s a lovely watch.” Her eyes move pointedly from it on your wrist to you. “So what’s wrong?” 

You fiddle with it, twisting it on your wrist and tapping the face anxiously. “It feels tainted.” You steadily avoid looking at Harry as you say the words. Dr. Walsh nods, but doesn’t say anything, silently urging you to continue. “I love it. And that… makes me feel guilty. And it makes me feel dumb because one stupid gift made me forget this bullshit for a second and I just felt that love for him again.”

There’s an intake of breath to your right, but Dr. Walsh doesn’t look at all shocked by your words. “It makes sense. You want to be angry. You have a right to be angry and when something gets in the way of that, you’re unsure of how to feel.” 

You nod. Her words make sense. You did want to be angry and after your brief elation with the gift you found you still were. 

“I am going to feel like this for the rest of my life?” You whisper. 

She shakes her head. “No. One day, this anger will be gone. But… it’s up to you whether or not you can get there with each other. If you can forgive Harry and let go of the anger. Or not. Neither is wrong.” 

You nod. Sometimes these sessions felt like she was strictly talking to you. Harry just listened. Spoke up when you asked him to, or when Dr. Walsh worked on exercises. 

A part of you found that it helped. You were able to say things you may not have ever said to Harry. But sometimes it felt like he was unsure if he should try and that made you angrier.

Harry’s hopes are built up and shattered. It’s his own fault, he knows it is. Knows that this was an easily fixable marriage before he fucked up. 

You’ve talked about the cheating a little in therapy. Dr. Walsh has mentioned it, you’ve let your anger out, Harry has apologized. It’s a cycle that seems never ending. He doesn’t know what to do. All he wants so desperately is to fucking fix it. 

But...

The drive has been silent. You stare out the window at cars and buildings that pass. There are bags in the truck rustling around, a last minute stop for last minute items needed for the trip. 

You had been silent in the store too. Quietly checking off your list as Harry pushed the cart behind you. Had his gift upset you this much? You still loving him made you this angry? 

“I… I don’t know what to do.” Harry finally says, forcing his voice to cut through the silence. You startle and turn to look at him. “Tell me what to do.” He pleads. 

He knows you can hear the desperation in his voice. Whether or not you were angry at him, you knew him, you knew his tells and his emotions. 

“What do you want me to say, H?” Your voice is a whisper but still harsh. “I don’t know! I don’t know what you can do! Build a time machine. Don’t cheat on me.” 

“It feels like we’re going in circles.” Harry tries to keep his calm. He wants to keep the anxiety and hurt out of his voice. “Like, you’re angry then you see this chance and there’s hope, then there’s anger again.” 

You scoff. “I’m sorry my pain isn’t linear enough for you! I’m sorry that sometimes I see glimpses of you and I’m reminded of us ten years ago, so in love and oblivious to the outside world. Sorry that it all comes crashing down when I remember that you fucking cheated on me!” 

Harry sighs and his grip on the steering wheel tightens. “I fucked up so bad. I know. I know. God, what can I do? Anything.” 

“Why did you do it?” You ask instead of answering. There’s a coldness in your words and Harry’s aware you’re both trapped in the car for another twenty minutes. So are you, apparently. “And don’t give me the same bullshit about being selfish and not knowing why and it being a mistake.” 

Harry feels desperation claw at his throat and tears burning in the corner of his eyes. It’s like he can’t breathe, trapped in a coffin of your anger and his guilt. He tries to keep his eyes focused on the road as he talks. “I… I felt wanted. I liked the attention.” 

There’s a sharp intake of breath, but Harry keeps his face forward and eyes focused. “Tell me what happened.” 

“Y/N…” Harry trails off. “I… I can’t.”

You groan and fall forward with your head in your hands. “I need to know, H. I don’t… I just need to know because all I can think about is these what if situations and scenarios in my head. And I’ll just keep running through them until I hate you.”

Harry bites down on his lip and spares a glance at you. “What if… What if I tell you and you hate me anyways?” The question is unfair. He knows it is. But he can’t fathom a world without you in it. A world where he sees you on drop off days and has to plan separate holidays. 

“I don’t know.” You say quietly. But, it feels like answer enough. There’s no reason for you not to leave. 

And Harry guesses a promise to try was never really a promise to stay.

I’ll try to list some of the reasons, though keep in mind some are pure headcanon! Some include spoilers so I’ll go game-by-game, from oldest-to-newest

Fire emblem Gaiden/ Fire emblem echoes: Shadows of Valentia 

Saber - Agender: As my friend put it best: Saber lost his gender on a mission and never cared to go look for it. I just think he’s agender, all jokes aside, no much reasoning here!

Sonya - Trans lady: Sonya reveals that her two sisters were turned witches while she was sent away, as a kid. I like to think it’s because her father didn’t know at the time she was a girl. She’s also got great style and she’s a queen, and all trans women are queens, baby.

Genny - Trans non-binary girl: I like to see Genny as enby simply cuz non-binary people aren’t all androgynous. She’s also a super cute character and I love to think about Sonya and her bonding over being transfemmes because their friendships is super cute!

Celica - trans lady: Not in the original post but I’m adding it out of spite; Celica is trans and a wonderful character :)

Fire emblem Path of Radiance / Radiant dawn

Ike - Gay: i know you were referring to trans characters, but since he was included in the post, I decided to include him too. Basically; shows 0 interest in women, only has a platonic relationship with Elincia(?green haired lady), and that shopkeeper whos horny for him doesn’t interest him at all. However, he has two possible “bro” endings, where he elopes with a dude, with Ranulf and Soren! (Some might think it’s a reach, no way there could be a gay character, but keep in mind Jenny, in those games, is canonically a lesbian!)

Soren - Trans man: I just want to preface this by saying that when I discovered those games I was just learning about LGBTQIA+ issues, and some of my reasoning might not be that good, but here goes: the first playthrough I watched, Soren was constantly mistaken for a girl by the guy playing the game. He’s also (spoiler alert!) half beorc, half laguz, and i felt his treatment of society could be very relatable for trans people. There is also the fact that Ike has a great great great grandchild in Awakening, whom I think is also Soren’s (I like to think their paired ending is canonical), so Ike is still gay, he was just able to have a kid biologically with Soren :)

Forrest - Non-binary: I feel this is a touchy one: on one hand, people tend to see this character as just a gender-non-conforming boy, and I think a lot of people like him as is, and some might feel represented. On the other, Ive seen some NB people say his presentation and character reminds them of themselves. I also feel his struggle with his father is something a lot of us can relate to. As a non-binary person, while I respect any headcanon for him, I tend to fall for the latter. Also I’m starving for rep lol.

Byleth - Non-binary: Because I said so. (Nah just kidding the real reason is; everyone uses “they/them” for them anyway and I’m non-binary and playing them and they’re MY avatar. Ergo: they enby :3)

Leonie - Trans woman: When it comes to leonie, I just feel she’s trans, due to constantly having to remind people that she /is/ a girl. That’s a sentiment a lot of trans people share: just having people like “but... you don’t look like one lawl”. I also love the idea of trans girl leonie still being a bit of a tomboy, GNC trans people for the win lol (I also like to think her post timeskip design being pretty different is after 5 years of magic HRT lol)

Yuri - Non-binary: So basically i got super excited seeing the trailers seeing an androgynous character, thinking “THIS IS IT!! FINALLY!! NB REP!!!” But nah. Again you could make the same case as Forrest but I was just so excited,only to be so disappointed, I stick to my guns on that one, as I’m very petty. Yuri also got great style and not to brag but I feel we Enbies do have great style.

Bernadetta - Non-binary: I saw a shitty meme using her once to mock non-binary people, so I decided to have her be enby. Also I related hard to that character.

Dorothea - trans lady: Same as Sonya tbh: she’s majestic. But also: I find it interesting that (slight spoiler ahead) she was thrown in the streets as a child. I know it’s gross, /but/ I think it’s brought up in the game that sometime,s daughters were given away for money: my question is; why not give Dorothea away? Ferdinand’s support shows she was already beautiful when she was young. My answer: her father didn’t know she was a daughter. It also explain why, years later, he did not recognize her.

Manuela - Trans lady: My headcanon for Manuela is kind of an extension of Dorothea’s. I /Love/ the Idea of Manuella being Dorothea’s trans Icon, someone to admire both for her talent and for what she might have gone through. I also love the idea of Manuela seeing a /lot/ of herself in Dorothea, and thus making her her protégée at the opera. Just trans ladies helping each other Bruh.

Dimitri - Trans man: buckle up I kept one of the best for last. (Spoilers ahead!) First of all, his support with Catherine reveals he was very “feminine” as a kid, so much so that Catherine thought he was a girl. Fast forward, as a teen he’s very nice, a trait commonly shared by trans men. What makes me believe he’s trans most is the fact that as an adult, he does not have a beard. This might seem minor, but knowing his father had a lovely one, I find if weird that he does not, especially since we can assume he wouldn’t shave it since he looks...like... /that/, post-timeskip. I think he just has difficulty growing one, Dimitri is trans, change my mind.
