Day 28: Puppet
The process felt like it would never end. The worst part was the painful lack of results. Two hours of searching through textbooks, and they found little to work with.
Jazz had been faithfully taking notes in neat handwriting on anything possibly worth referencing. She paused only to sip coffee and occasionally ask Ohmer a question. Like her, the lawyer was focused and kept her eyes mostly glued to the pages as she applied sticky notes to relevant places.
Jack couldn't concentrate at all.
He stared at the pages, his mind skipping over words and forgetting the last paragraph. The text was so small, with many words he didn't quite understand. Jack wasn't a lawyer or a brilliant teenager. He was an ecto-biologist. None of this made sense to him. He was useless. Useless to even do a basic thing to help his son. He had retreated to the lawyer's couch to properly stretch out and to give the girls more space to spread out the books.
The office phone began to ring. Ohmer's hand shot out to answer it immediately.
"Hello, this is Elizabeth Ohmer," she greeted. A weak smile came across her face as she forced a small chuckle. "Yeah, I'm still here. Did you get my message?" She sighed and leaned back in her chair, only to immediately sit up again. "Oh? Yes, I will still be here...Please drop on by!" Jack watched the lawyer curiously. "Thank you, see you in a little bit! Mhm! Goodbye!"
She hung up, and she sighed heavily in relief.
"That was one of the other lawyers I called, his name is George Payne, who'd have more knowledge," she explained to the pair.
George Payne...George Payne...that name rang a bell…Jack knew that name...
"That's V-man's lawyer," he suddenly realized. "George Payne, from Payne and Slaughter Firms?" Ohmer nodded, and Jazz went pale.
"You know him?" she asked curiously. Jack half-shrugged.
"Mayor Masters has been a family friend for decades," he explained. "He's had Payne and Slaughter representing his company for a long time, they're the only people he really trusts to represent his businesses anymore. I've never formally met George, but I know he works closely with Vlad." Ohmer seemed surprised, but she nodded.
"George and his partner are both primarily corporate law, but I know they also have a lot of experience with other legal issues," Ohmer replied. "They're a big company these days, they can handle almost any type of legal case you have anymore."
"So is Mr. Payne coming?" Jazz finally spoke up. Ohmer nodded.
"He said that he and his partner, as well as Mr. Masters, would be here very shortly," she replied.
Excitement and relief washed over Jack. Who better would help him than the family friend? A politician, a billionaire, his best friend. Even though he knew Vlad didn't know, Jack already felt at much more ease knowing that Vlad was coming to help, somebody who had more power.
"Vlad's coming too?" Jack questioned. He glanced at Jazz, smiling warmly. Their luck was turning around, but Jazz...she looked even more distressed at this. His smile dropped in confusion.
"That's what Mr. Payne said," Ohmer told them. She stood up, stretching. "In about twenty minutes, so I think I'm gonna take a break. Get something to eat."
"Yeah, sounds good. Jazz? Wanna grab something from the cafeteria?" Jack questioned. He saw Jazz smile weakly.
"Okay," she agreed.
A knock came at the door. Instead of waiting for any reply, a man in a formal gray suit and briefcase opened the door, followed by another man that also had a gray suit and briefcase. Lastly was a familiar face.
"Vlad!" Jack breathlessly called out in relief, standing up. The billionaire paused in shock at seeing him.
"Jack?" Vlad asked curiously. "What are you doing here?"
"I admitted Phantom into the hospital," Jack explained, and he took a step to Vlad, putting a hand on his shoulder. Understandably, Vlad looked skeptical and yet curious as to Jack's claims. Jack didn't blame him. Even to Vlad, he was never subtle about his...previous interests. "Please, can I have a moment? I really need to talk to you about something."
"Not now, Jack." Vlad tried to shrug off Jack's hand, but Jack clutched his friend's upper arms tightly.
"Vlad, please, it's important," he pleaded. Vlad's face scrunched up, and he silently stared at Jack. He gave a deep sigh, and he motioned for Jack to follow him.
They stepped out into the hallway, and Vlad half-closed the door behind him. Jack had no clue where to even begin. How could he explain to his best friend why, without exposing Danny?
"Vlad, it's super important that your lawyers find a way to get Phantom into my custody."
"So what?" Vlad seemed oddly...more bored than any kind of shock at this statement. "So you can dissect him? Absolutely not. I'll let you in on a little secret, Jack." He leaned into him, and he lowered his voice a bit. "Phantom's actually my son." Jack's entire body froze in horror at what he knew immediately was a lie. He stared at Vlad, wide-eyed. "He's a bit rebellious, wanting to go against me, so this is just the perfect opportunity for me to get him home, safe and sound. So no, Jack. I'm not going to entertain the idea of putting my son in your hands like that."
"Vlad, I...I don't think you understand." Where was Jack even supposed to begin?
His friend rolled his eyes at him.
"Jack, you don't understand. This is between a father and his son, and this is also politics," Vlad told him. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to make sure my boy gets home safe and sound."
Vlad didn't wait for any reply. He left a stunned Jack standing in the hallway, going into the room and shutting the door behind him. Jack could only stare at the door, his mind going a million miles. This was just an elaborate, dedicated ploy. It had to be. Vlad was just doing what he could to protect the hero of his town. This son claim, it was only to trick the lawyer into signing him over. Vladdy didn't know, he was just doing what he thought was best. But why the lie, why? Vlad had the money and power to just take Phantom, wouldn't he? Why lie about Phantom being his son?
Jack hurriedly pulled himself together, opening the door and closing it behind him. Vlad paid no attention to his presence, though the lawyers that accompanied him gave a polite headnod. They stood off to the side. Jack could barely muster one in return as he stood with Jazz. She stood in the corner of the room, holding the book she was reading earlier to her chest as she watched on in worry. A distinct fear that stirred feelings of unease within Jack himself. Vlad was standing in front of Ohmer, who continued to stay seated at her desk as she patiently listened to Vlad.
"So, if you just release Phantom into my care," Vlad seemed to be ending a small speech when Jack finally tuned in, "I will handle all the legal fees."
"I'm so sorry, Mr. Masters, but I can't do that," Ohmer lightly frowned. Vlad seemed unfazed by this, giving an understanding nod.
"I meant after his surgery and recovery, of course," he said, and he gave a dazzling smile. One that Jack was all too familiar with. A political smile. "I want my son to be safe and sound when he returns."
"No, Mr. Masters," she replied, shaking her head. Her fingers fidgeted with a pen in her hand. "Forgive me for saying this, but this confession, this, this uh, revelation of sorts, that Phantom is your son is a bit hard for me to grasp." Vlad made a face.
"Of course he's my son," Vlad insisted. Every time Vlad claimed that, Jack felt lightheaded nausea and confusion. Ohmer raised an eyebrow at him.
"Then...why would you so publicly campaign against him during your election?" she questioned. Vlad paused, observing her for a moment.
"Do you have children, Miss Ohmer?" he asked. The lawyer nodded.
"Yeah, I actually have a daughter about Phantom's age," she replied. Vlad gave a smile.
"Then you probably understand how rebellious teenagers can be," he spoke. "We have a bit of a...complicated relationship, but as you know, you always love your children. Even when they act out in such a manner against you." Ohmer leaned back in her chair. She looked obviously skeptical of his story.
"Once Phantom is out of surgery, can he confirm that you are his father or legal guardian?" she asked. Vlad sighed with obvious fake dramatics before shaking his head.
"You will simply have to take my word for it, Miss Ohmer. I'm afraid he'll deny it. You know teenagers."
Ohmer shook her head, lightly tapping her pen on the desk.
"No, Mr. Masters," she replied. "I cannot just take your word for it, especially considering that even you will admit that he will not confirm your story. And this is on top of your very public campaigns against him. You've shot at him before. And you've revealed in interviews before that you had put that million dollar bounty on him. I don't think a judge would allow for a child to stay within a home under those conditions."
Vlad's face had been dropping with every single word she said. On some level, Jack felt relief. The billionaire glanced at his lawyers with a raised eyebrows. They simply nodded to him.
"I'll sue this hospital," he threatened. Ohmer gave an exhausted sigh. "I'll sue this damn hospital for not allowing me to see my child."
She stood up, digging through a drawer in her desk for a few moments. She took out some legal looking papers, looking towards the lawyers standing off to the side instead of Vlad.
"We can do a DNA test," she suggested, and she offered them the papers. Jack could see a flash of panic run across Vlad's face. Vlad's lawyers took the paper, glancing at each other before nodding in approval. "And if that DNA test comes back as a match, then as the biological father of Danny Phantom, Mr. Masters will be given all the legal rights of parenthood."
"I shouldn't have to take a DNA test! That's my child!" Vlad spoke loudly.
"Then take the DNA test so that we can all be legally in the clear," Ohmer told him.
Vlad's eyes darkened as he stared intently at the lawyer before him. Ohmer flinched, but she stayed standing straight.
"Let me speak in a language more people can understand then," Vlad replied. He glanced to his lawyers. They simply watched him.
He reached into his pocket, pulling out a thick wad of hundred dollar bills. Jack's eyes grew to the size of saucers upon seeing it, and even Vlad's own lawyers looked impressed. That had to be thousands of dollars right there in the palm of the billionaire's hand. A drop in the bucket for him.
Vlad offered it out to Ohmer, but she kept her eyes locked with his.
"I am Danny Phantom's legal guardian, and he will be discharged into my care. If you make this happen, consider this fifty thousand dollars right here completely yours. Under the table, cash free."
The temptation to take it was there. Jack could see it in her eyes, and she said nothing for a moment. Ohmer finally glanced down at the money, the comically huge stack of hundred dollar bills.
"No."
Vlad's face dropped in surprise, and the hand around the money clenched in anger.
"What do you mean," he asked. Jack felt goosebumps at how angry and cold his best friend's voice was sounding, and an odd feeling was beginning to fill him. "No?"
For the first time since Phantom was admitted to the hospital, Ohmer looked a bit nervous. But to her credit, she stood her ground and never looked away.
"I stand by my statement," her voice quivered slightly, but she still spoke firmly. "I'm sorry, Mr. Masters."
Vlad said nothing for a moment. He kept locked in a staring contest with the lawyer. Jack could see Jazz nervously fiddling her thumbs as she watched on in worry. He squeezed her shoulders assuringly, shooting her a smile. He kept trying to tell himself that Vlad had Phantom's best interest at heart. But Jazz's glance back to him made his stomach twist, and he knew he was only fooling himself.
"A hundred thousand," Vlad suddenly spoke. Ohmer blinked.
"Excuse me?" she asked.
"I'll have a hundred thousand dollars brought here. Right now," Vlad bargained.
Vlad studied her coldly. Jack's hands squeezed Jazz's shoulders lightly as it hit him. Vlad was scaring him. He had never seen the cheerful billionaire in this kind of light. Why would he even want Phantom that badly?
Ohmer didn't budge.
"No."
"Three hundred thousand." Vlad had not wasted a second. Ohmer's lower lip quivered in temptation.
"No."
"Five hundred thousand." Jack's heart raced hard as the prices were quickly going higher and higher. He knew Vlad had no price limit for things he truly wanted. "That daughter of yours could go to any college her heart desires. No debt. Enough left over to probably pay off your mortgage, no?"
Jack's grip on Jazz's shoulders tightened, and he only loosened when she let out a small whimper of pain. He murmured an apology as he saw Ohmer staring back at Vlad. Half a million dollars. That was so much money. A comical amount. Vlad would have to deliver that much money on a rolling cart or something.
"No."
Vlad shot her a dirty look of annoyance.
"Name a price, then."
Ohmer's eyes narrowed at him, and she glared right back at him.
"Phantom's not for sale."
Vlad huffed angrily. Jazz and Jack stayed silent as they watched the affair unfold. An uncomfortable silence filled the air. Even Vlad's lawyers shifted from foot to foot as Ohmer and Vlad stared each other down.
"Mr. Masters, I am not another political puppet that you can make dance with a bribe. If you are Phantom's father, then you should have nothing to fear by taking a DNA test," she told him. Vlad said nothing for a while, but he finally seemed to break.
"Fine."
Ohmer nodded. She reached for her phone, dialing an extension for the hospital. Somebody on the other end picked up, and Ohmer spoke sweetly into the phone, requesting a DNA test to be performed. Jack could hear her briefly explain the situation. After a brief exchange, Ohmer hung up, looking up to Vlad.
"You can go to the third floor, to Dr. Bird's office. He'll perform the swap for you, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible," Ohmer told him. Vlad continued to stare angrily at her.
He snapped his fingers, and one of the lawyers stepped forward. The lawyer pulled an envelope out of his inner jacket pocket, handing it to Vlad. Vlad handed it to Ohmer.
"Go ahead and give this to my son when he wakes up. Tell him if he knows what's good for him, that he will call me when he gets the chance." His voice was chilling, and Ohmer simply nodded. "Otherwise, tell him to have fun rotting in ghost prison."
Vlad turned on his heel, and he opened the door to the office harshly, slamming the door behind him. The lawyers followed him, opening the door but closing it more gently, both of them bidding a polite farewell to Ohmer and the Fentons.
Soon as the door closed, Ohmer picked up the phone again. Jazz returned to her seat across from Ohmer, opening the book with slightly shaky hands. Jack moved to his old spot as well.
"Hello? Dr. Bird? Yeah, I just called you. Listen, can you somehow do that swab I just told you to do, but twice?...Yeah, don't tell him about the second one...Mhm, I don't trust him either...There's just, something off about his story, ya know?...Thanks, you're the best." Ohmer hung up the phone with a deep exhale. She rubbed her face, and Jack's mind raced.
Why was Vlad so hung up on this? So reluctant to take a test, his lawyers, the everything? And his behavior, he was so...stand offish. Vlad had never talked or treated him like that before. Or, well, he kind of had, but very briefly and only in passing and rarely, but now? What? Why was Phantom so important? Why was his son so important? It's not like it'd help Vlad's campaign or anything. In fact, it'd possibly be worse if the town found out that Vlad was harboring Phantom, or if he accidentally found out that it was Jack's half ghost son.
Oh god. Oh god.
No...no...it couldn't...Vlad couldn't…
Jack felt his legs grow weak, and he made himself sit down in the seat. He made no moves to grab the book had previously been forcing himself to try and read. It made so much sense. The ecto-acne...the proto-portal...the years spent ignoring him...the hesitance to become close again…
Vlad...Vlad was also half ghost, and he had to be terrified of Jack too.
It sounded so crazy, but this entire day had been a crazy one. Why not throw a little more on top of it? His son and his best friend both being half ghost. Insane right? What are the odds? High. Very high when...a lot when you caused it. Danny and the Fenton Portal...it was too similar to Vlad with the pro-portal...
But who on Earth would Vlad be? Jack tried to picture Vlad with inverted colors, like Danny, and his mind drew a blank. Nobody came to mind. No ghost he had ever seen. He was stumped immediately. But it had to be true. It made too much sense. Jack caused his best friend and son to...become the very thing he constantly hunted, dissected, talked about and experimented on.
No wonder he wasn't that close to either, much as he wanted to be and tried. Both must be terrified of him.
"Dad? You okay?" Jazz's voice broke him of his stupor, and he locked eyes with her. Without any words exchanged, he knew that she knew what he was thinking. Her eyes shied away, and Jack's gut twisted. Jazz knew. Ohmer spared only a brief glance to them before she had returned to flipping through the book before her.
"I'm...I think I need to stretch my legs a bit more," he replied, standing up. He still felt weak, but the room felt so hot and stuffy. "Get some air."
"Do you want company?" Jazz questioned. Jack shook his head as he went to the door, grasping the knob tightly. He didn't need her to come along, to confirm his worst fears and to unintentionally assure him that he was, indeed, a horrible friend and father.
"I'll just be a few," he replied. He forced a weak smile, and he left to take a much needed walk. There was just simply too much to think about.

Creepypasta OC
Pablo and Lilly #digitalart #creepypasta
About the characters:
Both are related.
The man in the chair is called Pablo...
No wait.
I'll just let them speak.
Lilly:
Hello!
My name is Lilly Ork and I'm 4 years old.
I like pandas and bears, because they are really cute!
I also like listening to my papa. He always gives me something fun to do!
I don't like lemons. They make me want to throw up, also I don’t like chilies, but I like cakes! Papa doesn’t let me to eat them so much though.
I don’t have a mama or grandpa and grandma. I saw papa kill them.
I don’t go to school either. Papa said that that's a bad idea.
Daddy told me that when I was little I met my grandma and grandpa once. They didn’t like me, when I asked about my mommy he said she didn’t like me either!
I didn’t mind it though. As long as papa gives me Pat's on the head and buys me new toys every time an old one gets dirty I don’t mind!
I have long brown hair made in pigtails, with such cute pink ribbons I took from a girlie I saw on the street. She got really mad at me, her mommy too. So papa took her out that night! Then he gave me the ribbons!
I wear a really pretty one piece dress with paws print on it! Papa bought me that dress recently, but from being nice white color it turned red, the brown. When I asked my papa about it, he told me that red color changes to brown when dry. I think I missed a part then.
One day I got really sick, my eye was really itchy, so papa and I went to see a doctor.
Papa then told me that I had Heterochromia. I'm not sure what that means. He gave me an eyepatch to hide one of my eyes.
I have a story on that too. Little while ago I got lost in a supermarket. Papa and I were out shopping for trash bags and something to eat. An old lady found me there. She told me I have beautiful eyes. Apparently I have one green and one blue eye.
Papa was mad at me for going off on my own, but he praised me for finding another annoying victim.
I don’t speak much, papa doesn’t like noise, so I'm quiet. I don’t really like to speak either. Now that I think about it, I don’t like hearing other people talk. Papa always talks to me and with me but I don’t hate it. Because its papa.
When I'm alone with papa and not haunting annoying people, we usually draw and collect things. I like doing that!
It's really fun to collect rocks and then draw on them!
What I dislike to do is talking with older men. They always look weirdly at me. My papa too dislikes them.
I cant read or write but papa is teaching me!
I can now read headlines of newspapers alone!
I really like my teddy bear. This is 3rd one already.
Kill?
I like to give poison to people my papa points out to me.
I usually walk to a person papa doesn’t like and then lead them astray!
Then my papa strangles them!
If not that, then I put white poisonous powder I have in my teddy bear.
People don’t suspect anything. That's weird.
Well it was nice talking to you!
Papa is behind you though. His eyes are telling me that both of us were quiet annoying and noisy just now!
Good bye! It was nice talking to you!
Eren:
My name is Eren Ork. I am 24 years old, a collage drop out and orphan.
Well not to then full extent, as you will hear later on, I killed my mother, father and step brother.
Why?
Because I was bored and they were all annoying.
That's what I hate the most, annoying people.
This is my story. It's not short but well, listen to it while you still can.
I've been alone since I can remember.
I grew up in a rich family.
"Next heir of our cooperation"
"He is so smart he can do anything."
Well, I would've stayed if my mother wasn’t a cunt like she was.
She would force me to study and made me spend my hours watching my father work.
Maybe because she wasn't even sure if I was my father's child.
As far as I know, I'm a single child. An only son of the CEO, and like I said only one who can actually take over the company.
So I was adored and respected to some point.
I learned how to act.
Sing.
How to play a piano.
And how to hate my family.
I never went to actual school. Other then my mother's abuse in a way, I was always alone. So when I turned 12.
I discovered something really amusing.
"We are reporting. The several killings that have been going on. As the reporters from the scene are reporting. In this small house, like you can see. We found multiple bodies. Their skin was used as a canvas, is what the policeman are stating. It is still..."
My face was glued to the screen.
The fact, that someone could do something like that, amused me. It seemed interasting. I wanted to try it.
But...
"What are you doing?! Aren’t you supposed to study?!" My mother was screaming at me from the door to my room. She's so loud and annoying.
"Get away from that. Damien! Take that thing out of my son's room!" So loud.
"You move away from that thing!" She stomped next to me, and grabbed me for my arm and pulled me up.
"Let me go, you loud hag." Is what I told her.
She just frowned and slapped me.
I felt it, I wanted to return her the same favor. But my father was behind her.
"Just what do you think you are doing?!"
That night, they fought through the whole night.
I just thought.
"Oh. This is fun"
For the 1st time in my whole life I found something fun. Yes, the 1st time.
Due to my actions and absence, my father bought me a cat. It was loud so I killed it. Then the dog, then the hamster, then they just gave up on buying me pets. I would always think of some reason on how they died. I couldn't tell them I liked how when they kinda screamed.
So, when the tutors would come in...
I would make them turn away.
Leaving my father and mother the only other option to educate me.
Boarding school.
When I was 15. I got sent into the boarding school. It was a private school, which are usually boarding schools. Unlike other rich boys I was thrilled to get sent into one.
I was away from that annoying mother. But...
Now there were some adults with no real status giving me orders...
So annoying.
It wasn't an only boys school so.
"Hey Pablo is kind of handsome?"
"I know right. His brown hair and eyes are so special!"
To let you know. I have dark brown hair and green eyes. I was told a lot that my Emerald like eyes resemble my mother's, never saw her in color, and my hair kind of resembles my father's. That's why they probably suspect me not being an true Ork, but a bastard child of some sort. And my build, well it was normal. I had height, but I wasn't anything special really. So...
"Ahhh. I wonder how would be to date him." "His family cant reach mine though" I never understand those girls.
So they are annoying.
I want them to go away.
"Hey" I spoke in a normal tone. I didn't want to let them know I'm pissed off. More like "They are giving me a headache."
"Oh sorry." The girls looked at me surprised. Only one of them spoke.
They had sad faces on. I couldn't care less. I would like to see them all cry. Maybe I could mess with them for a bit.
I could only grin on that idea. The fact I didn't think of something like that for so long....
So by the time I was about to graduate. I was considered popular in my school.
People would want to talk to me.
For the first time in my whole life, what my bitch of mother thought me paid off.
I was popular, I had fun ruining people's lives.
Until I mention the rest. For the whole 4 years I haven't visited my mother or father. I couldn't stand idea of them.
I haven't seen them or talked to them for 3 or 4 years. My boarding school didn’t allow parent visits, so I saw them at the day of graduation for the 1st time after 3 years.
"God. You've grown so much Pablo." My mother was standing in front of me. When I was 14 I was still looking up at her, now I have to look down to be able to follow her. She had her hand on my cheek. She was crying. I still didn’t understand it. She was also annoying. But during my time here. Other then good grades and popularity. I gained ability to fake my feelings quiet easily.
Not that I felt any.
I just smiled at my mother. "You've gotten older mother.".
"Well aren’t you mister obvious."
My father was staring at me from the side. He had a grown on his face.
You asshole.
What so I don't take after you anymore so you get all cold with me.
After the graduation ceremony. I returned home. And started collage.
In collage it was the same as high school. This time it wasn't a private school. My father's business was falling apart.
He also held a grudge against me never visiting home.
Like I care.
In collage, I met an interesting girl.
She was from a poor family and liked me.
So we started dating.
It was a good way for me to try out discovering "love".
Since it seems like my mother is planning something. Just to be ready.
One day, she called me drunk and came to visit her.
And we slept together.
And then, the bitch disappeared.
She dare disappear after using my body.
And year later, she appeared. But this time she had a baby with her.
An ugly worm.
BITCH.
Ahh
Annoying.
Annoying.
Annoying. Annoying.
They are all annoying.
She gave the brat to me and left again. Like hell.
"What the hell?! Just what do you think you just did?!" Screamed my mother at me as I was left in a hallway, door just closed with 2 month old baby in my hands.
Tch.
"Now no one would want to wed you! You idiot chil--" next thing I knew was that my grip was on my mother's neck. "You are so annoying and loud. Another word and Ill snap that God damn neck of yours." I let her down.
Baby was just looking at me, she didn't cry. Just stared. That took my interest.
"I will be in my room."
"Pablo! Get back here!" I walked away listening to my mother scream my name as I went up the stairs to my room.
I was 20 when I got my daughter in my hands.
Pretty young.
She was the only quiet one. She cried first few months until she turned one. After that she didn't cry almost at all.
My father and mother didn’t like Lilly one bit. So when she turned one I dropped out of collage and was kicked out of my house.
I saved money over the course of my birthdays from age 18 to 20 and had enough money to get myself a apartment and small job.
.
.
.
Hah.
You think that's the end of my story?
Of course not.
When Lilly turned 2.
I went back to my house. Just to show Lilly her family.
There I met, a boy. He was around 10 years old. Heh. My parents adopted another child. To rise him as their company's successor.
Hahahaha.
Apparently, my father's company got big after I left.
They didn't even bother to tell me, to visit their only son.
I put Lilly down and snapped.
I killed my whole family that night. Oh how?
Simply by strangling them all to death, wouldn't be enough? Well that’s right.
Despite them being worse the horse crap. They did let me in the house.
We were invited to dinner every weekend. So I thought of a better way to kill my family.
I purchased a slow killing poison, I made Lilly put some in my father's tea when he was playing with her. For my mother, when I was showing her off my cooking skills, I cur her wrist open. I could just grin as she bled out. How did I not get found out? Because I had Lilly with me. I would go out of the kitchen "to fetch something" while Lilly would be in kitchen for a little while then start crying or scream. My plan went just as expected.
My father collapsed after being drugged for weeks on the poison, and my mother would be killed in a matter of hour.
All that was left was to get rid of evidence and then act as if I know nothing.
That day staff was out of the house. So Lilly didn’t have to scream or cry. There was a main butler and maid, but they didn't really care, being occupied in their own business.
So I just gave my mother sleeping pills. She probably overdosed. And the fiasco with my father went as planned.
So my dirty Step Brother, he too was a sleep. All that was left was to...
Bam. Put the house on fire. That's what I did. And...
"The big cooperation of the Ork family has fell under, due to the whole family's death. The whole house was burned to the ground by, how it seems, a mistake from one of maids. She used the fire lamp trying to light the rock over in the kitchen, burning the whole house down. Fire started in the kitchen  making the staff fall unconscious due to the smoke. When the family noticed the fire it was already too late."
I was staring at the screen with grin on my face. Lilly in my lap looking at the screen. Lilly was smiling,
The first words she every said were papa.
After that she never spoke again.
She was smiling this time and seemed really exited. "Papa! We do that again?!" Didn’t expect her to react that way.
"Did you find that fun?"
Lilly nodded at my question.
She is truly my daughter.
I put my hand on her head.
"Of course, well kill lots and lots of annoying people again."
"Yes!"
And so
My killing spree as a Black Demon began. Yes. My nickname is only black. I wonder who is the worst in our duo? I gave my precious angel a teddy bear, in teddy bear there was poison. Every time we go to kill.... We are always ready.
Hope you liked them. I'm planning on changing their names , but I don’t now in what.
If you have a suggestion please do tell me.

Do you still do prompts? If so, how about modern au, Dwyer brings a girl over (no preference on which one) and he's worried about his weird family scaring her off.
Okay, I kind of went overboard so it's really long. You can read it below! Enjoy!
I'll be using Velouria for this for a few reasons-
1. In her supports with Kana, she takes to him very quickly and says he's like a little brother to her.
2. Her supports with F!Corrin are really cute and again, she takes to Corrin quickly.
3. Velouria is adorable
4. There are no supports between her and Jakob but I imagine they'd have an intereating dynamic.
5. I'm Dwyer x Velouria trash.
Dwyer sat slumped on the couch, his chin pressed into his chest as he scrolled mindlessly through his phone- his usual weekend routine. Kana sat cross legged in the floor, his head tilted back as he stared at some colourful children’s program about a talking dog. Dwyer felt his phone vibrate and opened the message- it was from Velouria, his most recent love interest.“I’m bored.” It read plainly, exactly what he expected from the apathetic girl and yet he felt his stomach start to twist in knots.“So come over.” He quickly typed.A message appeared in his inbox almost immediately “Dude.”Dwyer smirked “What?”“I wouldn’t usually be willing to walk across town when I could be sleeping…” she replied. Another message followed instantly “But I like you so I will. Be there in like, thirty minutes?”“See you then.”Dwyer’s smirk quickly turned into a dumb grin as he leapt from his place on the couch and ran up the stairs to the bathroom to tidy up before she arrived. Standing in front of the mirror, he yanked a brush through his shoulder length red hair and tucked it behind his ears rather than letting it drape over his eyes as he usually did. He hastily sprayed himself with his favourite cologne and smiled at his reflection in the mirror. He looked nearly the same but it was an improvement of sorts. He went into his bedroom and quickly tore off one black t-shirt; only to replace it with a slightly different black t-shirt. Pleased with his outfit, he darted down the stairs to impatiently await her arrival. 'I look too eager.' He thought to himself. Checking his phone, he sighed when he realized he still had a while to wait for her “guess I’ll get a snack or something.”Dwyer trudged toward the kitchen, entering the brightly lit space he tried to sneak past his parents who were giggling like children about some inside joke as they perched on barstools near the island.“Did you put on cologne?” Jakob asked as soon as the boy walked past him.'Dammit. I should’ve known he’d smell that. He notices everything.'
Dwyer sighed and spun around to face his father “Yeah, I did.”
“And brushed your hair? What do you know, you aren’t sedentary after all.” Jakob teased.“Who’s coming over?” Corrin said with a soft smile.“Velouria.” He muttered, hoping his dad wouldn’t hear his answer.“Velouria?” Jakob questioned “The girl who only wears that one red hoodie?”“Yup.”Jakob sighed “Does she still wear those ridiculous ears?”“Yes. She thinks they’re cute… and I think she’s cute soooo.”“Whatever happened to that sweet Mitama girl? She was quiet… and didn’t insist on wearing dog ears.”“Dad. I told you it didn’t work out.”“Leave him alone, dear.” His mother interjected “If he likes her, he likes her- dog ears and all.”“Actually they’re wolf ears.” Dwyer corrected.“Of course they are.” Jakob rolled his eyes “You know, when I was your age-““Not interested.” Dwyer interrupted as he dug through the refrigerator and pulled out a handful of grapes “Besides, you were already with mom when you were my age- and you were the one who wasn’t good enough for her. So you don’t have any room to talk, pops.”Jakob grumbled something under his breath but he didn’t say anything else about Velouria.“Well, if we don’t want to scare this poor girl away, can you two pretend to like each other for a few hours?” Corrin asked. The doorbell rang interrupting their spat- she was early. Dwyer ran to the door, his black combat boots thudding against the kitchen tile and hard wood as he bounded through the home. Jakob and Corrin followed close behind, they had seen the girl before in passing but had never gotten to meet her. Dwyer paused with his hand on the doorknob, he looked back at his parents “Guys. Can you like, sit down in the living room or something? You’re gonna overwhelm her.”“No I will not I’ll-“ Jakob’s complaint was interrupted as Corrin gripped his shoulder and lightly pushed him down the hall.“Of course we will sweetie, just bring her in to say hi!”“Thanks mom.” He whispered as his parents disappeared around the corner. He breathed deeply and whipped the door open. Velouria stood in front of him in her usual black skinny jeans, oversized red hoodie and brown boots. As always, a headband adorned with grey wolf’s ears sat perched amongst her hair which was dyed nearly as white as his father’s hair was naturally. One strip of her bangs was dyed dark black in contrast. Dwyer felt his cheeks burning, she looked as cute as always and now she was here… in his house… with his eccentric family.“Hey.” Dwyer said, his voice smooth and confident as he tried his best to sound charming.“Hey.”“You made it.”“Obviously.” She teased, a small smile tugging at her full lips.“Well-“ Dwyer cleared his throat “My parents want to meet you, if you’re cool with that?”“Alright. I’m up for it.”“Please gods, don’t let them scare her away.” He mumbled as he led her down the hall and toward their living room. They rounded the corner and Dwyer led her into the room, to his relief they were being as normal as possible- his mom was sitting in the floor with Kana, helping him build some sort of lego set and his father was nestled into his chair with a book open on his lap.“Mom. Dad.” Dwyer spoke up, drawing both of their attentions to him “This is Velouria.” He said, stepping aside as Velouria casually waved to the pair.“Hey.” She said quietly.“Hello! It’s lovely to meet you!” Corrin chirped, jumping up from her spot on the plush rug to rush over and greet the young woman.Jakob closed his book and looked up at her, she was as strange as he’d remembered but she seemed nice enough “Hello, I’m Jakob, Dwyer’s dad. It’s nice to meet you.”“Whoa. Dwyer never told me you were English.” Velouria said, a look of surprise on her face as she took in his accent.“I’m sure he doesn’t mention us terribly often at all then or you’d have heard an earful of how I only think my tea is superior because I’m an Englishman and his is clearly the better brew.” Jakob smirked.“Is that something you argue about a lot?” Velouria laughed quietly as she glanced over at Dwyer, his cheeks burning red and his teeth ground firmly into each other.“Oh yes, all the time. Ever since he was a boy.”“Dad. Stop.” Dwyer hissed.“Fine. I’m done.” Jakob said “Though, we all know I make the best tea so it doesn’t matter anyway.”“DAD.”“We could have a contest?” Velouria suddenly suggested. Dwyer turned to look at her, his eyes wide "I mean, why not? I can be the judge since I’ve never tried either kind before.”“Now that’s an idea I like- unless you’re afraid you’ll lose in front of your friend.” Jakob raised an eyebrow at his son in a playful challenge.“Whatever old man, I’ll win.” He smirked back as he stomped toward the kitchen with his father and Velouria following close behind.“Okay, here are the rules.” Velouria barked as the father and son stood waiting for their water to boil. “You make it the way you always do, no fancy tricks or new recipes to try to impress me. And don’t lie and try to sneak it past me- I’ll know if you do. When both cups are finished I’ll try each one and give you my opinions.”“Fair enough.” Dwyer said “Prepare to lose old man.”Jakob rolled his eyes and began to prepare his tea, Dwyer did the same. The pair worked in silence with Jakob finishing his cup first and Dwyer finishing up only moments behind him. Velouria lifted Jakob’s tea to her lips and gave an approving nod as she sipped at it. Moving on to Dwyer’s, she once again seemed pleased with it.“Well-“ she glanced back and forth between the two cups “I liked them both, but I think Dwyer nudges ahead. He warmed the cup.”Dwyer smirked and bowed dramatically “I told you, dad. I make tea better than an Englishman. You should be proud.”“She said the teas were equally good. You just warmed the cup first.” Jakob spat.“A rookie mistake on your end, pops.”Jakob crossed his arms and sighed “Decent job though, son.”“What!? MOM! Dad said I did a decent job at something!” Dwyer teased as he walked back toward the living room.
Corrin released an overly dramatic gasp “I should’ve recorded it!” she teased, pinching her husband’s cheek as he walked into the room following his son.“Yeah, yeah. He beat me one time.” Jakob grumbled.“Oh c’mon, lighten up.” Corrin said with a playful smirk “Besides, there’s another accomplishment to be acknowledged!”“And what would that be, my dear?”“Kana and I finally got his Lego set put together. It only took the entire afternoon… and I’m not sure that there were supposed to be as many left over pieces as there are… but it’s done!” She swung her hands out, gesturing to the tiny plastic model of a fire station as if she were actually unveiling a brick and mortar version that’d constructed by hand, a proud smile played on her lips. Kana stood as well, standing beside his mother and imitating her stance perfectly.Velouria giggled as quietly as possible and Dwyer’s gaze quickly shifted to her, worried she’d been annoyed by his exuberant family.“Sorry, they’re always like this.” He whispered.“Don’t apologise. I like them.” She stepped forward, crouching in front of Kana “Great job, kid.”“Thanks! Mom did most of it but I put the stickers on!” He clumsily lifted the creation and pointed out each one, telling the girl about them with the confidence only a proud child could have. She stood with him, making surprised faces and playing along as if she were enraptured by every detail.Dwyer smiled, he hadn’t thought she’d take to his little brother as well as she did- or to his parents for that matter. “This might actually work out.” He thought as he watched their interaction.“Dwyer?” Velouria said warmly, interrupting his thoughts “Didn’t he do good job?”“The best job.” He said as he ruffled his brother’s hair.“Hey- Do you guys wanna watch a movie with me?” Kana asked.“I dunno buddy, Velouria and I were-““Sure, what do have in mind?” Velouria interrupted.“I ALREADY PICKED ONE OUT.” He shouted as if he'd had this planned all afternoon. He flopped clumsily onto his stomach on the sofa as he scrolled through one of the many television apps to find the movie he had in mind.“You sure you’re cool with hanging out with my parents and little brother all night?” Dwyer asked.“Yeah, I told you I like them!” She plopped onto the couch next to Kana. “Mmmm something smells wonderful.” She said, lifting a decorative pillow to face and pressing her nose into it “It’s this. This smells amazing.”“Oh… um- thank you.” Corrin stuttered, slightly taken aback by the comment but flattered nonetheless.
"Found it! I wanna watch this one." Kana said as he clicked on some cutesy animated movie. He had also, luckily for Corrin, saved her from trying to hold a conversation about the scent of her throw pillows.
“Well, can’t have a movie night without popcorn!” Corrin chirped, walking toward the hallway.
She returned moments later carrying two bowls of popcorn, one for the three kids nestled on the couch and one for her and Jakob to share. She placed her bowl next to her husband on the loveseat and tried to lean over Dwyer to hand Velouria, who sat between her two sons, the bowl of popcorn. In the process she managed to spill some of the fluffy snack on the couch and across their guest’s lap.“Oh, I am so sorry Velouria!” Corrin said quickly “I’ll just give you kids ours and-““Nah, don’t worry about it.” Velouria said, plucking a piece of popcorn from the couch and eating it.“No, please, I wouldn’t want you to have to eat off of the couch!”“Really it’s fine, I actually prefer it this way.” She continued to eat the spilled pieces as she passed the bowl to Dwyer.“Alright then…” Corrin looked over to catch a glimpse of Jakob’s horrified expression, she shrugged her shoulders at her husband as she walked toward him, settling into her usual place beside him on the small sofa.
Two hours later and the movie was finished- Kana hadn’t managed to stay awake and had passed out midway through the film. Velouria sat next to Dwyer her head resting on his shoulder with his arm draped around her.“Do you need me to drive you home?” Dwyer asked.“No, it’s late. My dad’s just going to pick me up.” Velouria whispered as she read a text on her phone.Jakob stood and stretched before he walked across the room and slipped his arms under Kana, lifting him and cradling him against his chest. He wouldn’t be able to do this much longer, Kana was only eight but he was already tall and lanky- right on track to catch up to his father by his teen years.“It was lovely to meet you, Velouria!” Corrin said “Wasn’t it, honey?”“Yes, quite lovely.” He grumbled as he shifted the sleeping boy’s weight in his arms.“We’re off to put Kana to bed, will your dad be here soon?”“Oh, yeah, in like five minutes.” Velouria answered.“Alright. Well- I hope we didn’t scare you off!”“No, not at all.”“Good. Goodnight then!” She smiled softly and followed her husband out of the room. Their footsteps thudded quietly up the stairs in the distance as they made their way to the child’s bedroom.“So you really did like them?” Dwyer asked as soon as he was positive they were out of earshot.“Why do you all keep asking me that?” Velouria asked, her giggle underscored by genuine confusion.“Because they can be overwhelming.”“I take it they’ve scared off other girls before?”“Mom and Kana, not so much. My dad can be… imposing.”“He’s pretty fun to mess with, if you ask me.”Dwyer laughed heartily “Yeah, I think so.” He slipped his hand into hers, wrapping his fingers around hers and stroking her palm with his thumb. “I’m so relieved, you fit in here well.”“Sounds like you’re planning on keeping around for a while.”“As long as you want to stay.” He smiled and kissed her forehead gently “I like you.”“I like you too.” She pressed her lips firmly to his. “Guess this was better than the nap I was going to take.”Outside a car honked, followed by an unbelievably loud howl- as if someone were trying their best to imitate a wolf.“That’s such a stupid prank.” Dwyer grumbled.“That's not a prank. That’s my dad.” Velouria laughed.“Oh shit, V. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean-““Don’t worry about it. Your dad challenged you to a tea competition while I was here, my dad howls. We both have weird dads. ““You’ve got me there.”She smiled and kissed him once again “I gotta go before he wakes up the whole neighbourhood. See you soon?”“Whenever you want.” He held her hand as he walked her to the door, not letting go under her fingers slipped free from his. He stood in the doorway, watching to make sure she got into her dad’s care safely. Once the taillights finally faded from view, he closed the door.“Was that her dad howling like a maniac?” Jakob hissed, he stood on the bottom stair, peeking around the corner and down the hall toward his son.“Yeah.”He rolled his eyes and sighed “Of course it was. I suppose she had to get that wolf nonsense from somewhere…” he paused “But she’s a nice girl.”“That’s high praise from you.”“Well… I mean it.”“Thanks, dad.” He whispered, a smile lingering on his lips. He heard his father walk up the stairs and back into his room. In the still darkness of the hallway, he happily danced his way toward the staircase, thankful that his strange family had accepted this strange girl.
