Sooooooo turns out I’m actually a lefty???? Only took 13+ years to figure this out because of this one teacher (who’s now retired and also has MAJOR drama associated with her due to her defending her pedo husband after he made crude comments. of 15 and 16 year old girls; but that’s a story time for another day 😘) who thought “oh! This student [me] is using both their right and left hand to pick up a pencil…… obviously they’re lying to try to sound cooler by being a lefty so I’m gonna force them to use their right hand” so she’d stop every lesson to “correct” me when I use my left hand and I thought this was normal until I had to get testing done for my mind and she said “yeahhh they’re meant to be a lefty” so like I do everything with my left hand (I can write with it but it looks like my writing from 3rd grade) but I mainly write with my right hand

In the spirit of obscure animated TV shows, though - and It's been so damn long I forgot the names of some characters, had to look up the guy's name, lol - Zero and Vin from The Invisible Network of Kids. It left a profound impact on my psyche because they did something really fucked up in the last episode, plus left us on a cliffhanger, and then the show got cancelled </3 rip. Haven't watched it in a decade or so. No idea if it holds up, but I was super invested in these kids doing spy work and experiencing insane levels of trauma that would be ignored come each new episode </3. I was literally 8 years old <3. It has a TV tropes page and the entire show is availible on the Internet Archive, of all places, sooooooo I may browse. For nostalgia's sake. I feel like this counts, because I shipped them when I first watched the show as it aired (I was 10 when the show started), but I did still ship the pairing until well into my teens (16 or so) before I wised up (the show made them very bad in a really boring way. Not that they weren't bad before. Love how they both do things that are otherwise reprehensible but the show frames them as romantic for some fucking reason </3 I was like 13 when I saw this kiss on screen. They're lucky I did research and didn't just take it at face value or I could've gotten some really bad ideas about what's healthy in a situation like this!).

Shoker is a major missed opportunity in ME, and I've been mad about the choices for my fem!shep for YEARS because. Look. Kaiden she did not cheat on you. You left!! You accused her of being evil and fucked off after she was resurrected!! what else was she supposed to think other than 'guess he doesn't want to date me anymore. Rude.' And. You could have sex with Jack but not romance her, that was locked to male characters >:| biphobia [Jack can have sexual relations with women, but her only real connections are to men. Rude!]. And, Liara in my games always turned herself down for romance because she assumed my shep wanted to date Kaiden because she's not a total dick to him and there's no way for me to clarify otherwise, also people making assumptions :/ not great. Plus Li becomes the shadow broker and it's a whole thing, so that doesn't really work out narratively for me anyway. Can't romance Miranda. Can't romance Tali (wouldn't anyway - Tali/Garrus <3). Refuse to romance Garrus that is just so platonic a dynamic it's not even funny. Jacob cheats and dips, so fuck him. Like... all of the fem!shep romances are terrible (or Trainor, I guess, but she's... kind of. Nobody. She's Just There. Sorry. It's not narratively interesting enough for me.) and Joker was right there and augh. Augh! Still ship. Still mad about it. Hatboy Project is doing the lord's work! I salute thee soldier in thine endeavours. Waiting to replay LE until it's been finished <3.

When I asked about whether or not the books became egregious friendship in the later books I was just kidding I didnt expect it to be that bad 😭! Tho, a bit curious, does the graphic novels fell victim to this as well? Does Vi become a friendship god again. I only read the first 3 and I want to continue it but seeing the sudden change of the artstyle makes me not... want to continue it (no offense to the artist but the changes in the comic feels more jarring to me than the main ones)

Well thankfully the friendship thing doesn't show up much in the graphic novels since they're more nature-focused than friendship-focused. So all things considered the comics, though they suffer in narrative quality because of Papercutz calling the shots it's still pretty decent all things consi--

I'm not gonna get into that many details about it because I can't be bothered with this one, but good lord what an underwhelming send-off to what was a banger comic series. Its moral/theme is basically the teamwork song from Sponge Out of Water, Ryan Jampole's sketches of the panels look especially sketchy in this one (when they were already kinda sketchy, both in an art sense and in the vibe sense), and the only thing we really get from it is Vanilla getting a bit of a conscience and letting the girls have this victory I guess (even though I'm not sure why).

Oh and Trap plushie in Vi's room. N-not sure why she has it, but cool easter egg, I guess?

Issue 7 is the best of the newer ones I'd say, I genuinely liked it. Issue 5 and 6 though... Eeeeehhhhhh, I have mixed feelings about them. The premise is cute, both books gave me platonic!Vicky moments to revel in, Vi got to dish out a verbal smackdown in issue 5, there was a whole espionage mission thing in book 6....... but at the same time you can sense the dip in narrative thought and quality, and a part of you can't help but grieve what could've been. Especially seeing how well the first half was, and that they got Ryan "Jampolinski" Jampole to do the art of issues 5-8.

On second glance they don't look as bad as I remember them being, but there are just some panels that look... off. Or not very expressive. Or just...... Issue 5.

Don't clock him for the coloring, he wasn't the colorist in any of these; buuuutttt yeah :/

Even the Trap teddy bear is guaranteed to give you mixed emotions because on one hand it looks cute but on the other hand you look at Vi's proportions which makes you notice the proportions of the room which makes you realize the proportions of Vi compared to the room and-- yeahhh. Kinda understand why this is the forgotten child of the Jampolinski art gallery.

Like take a look at his portfolio on Deviantart and his Twitter (who's X? I don't have an ex) and there's literally no sign of his work for the Thea Stilton comics anywhere. I dunno if it's just a contract thing or something else but regardless it's kinda sad :'D

Anyway uh if you do plan on reading issues 5-8, just bear in mind three things:

The story is directed by Papercutz, so it's going to be screaming "THIS IS A KIDS' BOOK WITH KIDS' MORALS AND KIDS' CHARACTERS TALKING LIKE KID-FRIENDLY HAMLET MONOLOGUING ABOUT THE DAY AHEAD OF HIM, DO YOU UNDERSTAND HIS EMOTIONS AND THE LESSON HE'S EXPLICITLY TEACHING RIGHT NOW" the entire way through

Please don't clap Jampole for this, it's kinda embarrassing to come at him for a thing he drew back in like 2017 at earliest and y'know we dunno what happened behind Papercutz's neon orange doors, and also sometimes the forgotten child ought to remain forgotten sooooooo...... yeah, I don't want any trouble, just stating opinions here,,

There will be nuggets of gold panels there-- it wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered it being (in terms of artstyle), and there are some panels that I genuinely liked! It's just that the emotional range/nuance was just virtually nonexistent, probably because of point 1. There will be nuggets of gold in there, you just gotta sift through a lot of gravel to find it.

Anyway that's what I have to say about issues 5-8, issues 1-4 are goated and 5-8 kinda yeeted the formula of 1-4 out the window and replaced it with.... whatever 5-8 was (minus 7, I gotta reiterate that 7 is the best of the latter four). Aight see ya ^ ^

It's been years since I've read those books so my lore is insanely rusty, but I think Tendou would be a great Hermes kid LOL from my LIMITED knowledge I remember them being pretty crafty and prone to mischief, I think he'd fit right in.

Okay so idk why you asked me since um yeah but to improve your writing

I can only really say this for the types of works I do since I’m not good at Drabbles or time stamps

Btw this may not be helpful at all cause half the time I do not know what I’m doing sooooooo

Empress’ guide to how she goes about her angst to fluff works and writing in general

I have a formula in the way their set out so it goes context on the relationship and then the problem which causes the angst then the actual angst and then the fluff.

But like I used to start all my works like this in bullet point basic form which is fine but if you want to improve you

Can instead of doing bullet points

Write it in an actual format and with this way it’s easier to like get into the angst if that makes sense because before I used to just waffle on and on and not really get to the point and it’s good to not have your works be so fast paced but people don’t really like it when you’re dragging on and not getting to the point.

You can format it a different way tho with the angst coming first to really “grip people in” to the actual problem and then give context in the middle

Yeahhh so that’s on structuring.

BUT when it comes to actual writing here’s some small things you can do to improve your writing

- change the word said to other verbs so like

“I love you Y/N” he said

Change that too

“ I love you Y/N” he exclaimed, or he expressed

- add adverbs not too many tho

So jumping off my speech thing add an adverb so like “I love you Y/N” he expressed bashfully

Something like that or instead of an adverb add extra things like

“I love you Y/N” he expressed, adoration sparkling in his eyes.

Also another writing improvement

- learn how to paragraph properly

- learn how to format speech properly (NEW SPEAKER NEW LINE)

- if your work is 1K+ words add a read more (put it in somewhere which is a smart place)

That’s all I got and I don’t know if that was helpful but in conclusion :

- context, angst, fluff or angst, context, fluff

- descriptive words (talk about the readers and the characters feelings but don’t do it TOOO much)

- add verbs and adverbs

- don’t add emojis or text abbreviations in your work. (Some people don’t mind them but like that’s just a personal preference)

- add italics on specific words to emphasise things (don’t overdo it though)

- try to get to the point but don’t make it too fast paced

- if you’re doing angst to fluff and the angst is too much then don’t make y/n just like forgive the guy you can have fluffy endings if you want it to seem more realistic

You can read some of my old works for reference and compare it to my new works to see the improvements in my writing and magpie some of that

This was longer than I thought if you want to know about more specific things then ask more questions and I’ll answer them I hope this could be of help

I've always been curious about it and like, whats going on and what the general idea for it is, like, about the characters and other things in general. So my human pokemon AU is like. Basically a combination of several stories all into one? Like there’s twenty things going on at once, some over lap, but most are self contained things!

Probably my favorite Characters of the bunch are the ghosts, especially the Ghost family Story-

For that, Haunter, a wild performer who died via a large stage light, is a ghost who wanders around. He used to have a job at a very popular club owned by Gengar, but got fired cause Oop. Eitherway, he makes friends with the wrong crowds, mostly because he craved attention and love (some good examples are Sableye and Mawile, but that was when he was alive), and some of these pals take him to this “abanonded” Log cabin in the woods to trash for funsies! However, rather quickly in he enters a room and discovers a lone Mimikyu trying to hide.

Naturally of course, hey, rhis is a child! And this place is occupied! So he does a responsible thing and stays with this kiddie Incase any one of his crew tries to burst in, all up until he’s like “Ok brb I’m gonna call this thing off now it should’ve ended like twenty minutes ago-“ but before he can get a word out THE DOOR SWINGS OPEN AND OUT COMES THIS GUY WITH A LATERN WALKS IN AND HES PISSED naturally he uses a shadow ball to get these fuckers out, minus Haunter since he wants to explain himself, but still gets threatened

Until Mimikyu shows up and is like “HEY HEYHEY DAD HES MY FRIEND HE PROTECTED ME FROM ALL THOSE GHOSTS!!!” And then he gets introduced to this dilf: Banette (tho he spells it like Bannet cause he’s difficult and I can’t spell)

Bannet’s whole thing is that when he was really young his parents abandoned him in the woods, and since he was born a ghost (there are two different types of ghost Pokémon in my AU; those who died to become a ghost and those who had ghost parents and thus were born a ghost) he couldn’t starve to death so he was. Forced to wander the woods alone for a long time, only until he was found by Mismagius and taken in as her nephew. Ever since he’s had horrible trust and abandonment issues, and tends to wander the forest in search of any other children who’re lost/abandoned... which is how he found Mimikyu!

So naturally he’s not gonna trust this guy who admits to coming along with the blokes who trashed his place... but Mimikyu likes him, so he gets to visit here and there. Of course this leads to a slow burn where they help each other heal from previous wounds. We also meet other ghosts like Gastly; Gengar’s kid and Gourgeist; Haunter’s Ex coworker

There are others too like Giratina, Yveltal and Hoopa... Giratina’s whole thing is that Arceus suffers from horrible parent disease and had all of their kids raised by the lake guardians, Gira is the youngest, and was the most neglected by their parent... Dialga was the favorite child, and they grew to resent them. All cumulating in an attempt on their life, which got Gira banished!

Yveltal is a similar case, envy took over them, they and Xerneas are technically twins... as this tree spawned thousands of years ago with a cocoon attached, birthing both of these fools at the same time, in which they were both swiftly taken in by Zygarde who acted as an older sibling to them. Yveltal always got the short end of the stick due to being the God of death, everything around them, except the fellow gods, died upon touch, and they were shunned by... everyone, it seemed. Even after Xerneas and Zy’s attempts to help Yveltal... they still turned their back and wound up joining Gira (and then they and Gira kiss)

Hoopa feels personally targeted by Arceus bc they were the ones who took away most of their powers, the one thing they left them being their rings they use to travel across the land. Somehow Arceus didn’t see a mega oversight to this cause Hoopa ended up in the Distortion world because of the rings and basically got adopted by Satan and Vulture!!!

There’s also Mewtwo traveling around trying to find their parent, Mew, alongside Genesect and Melodetta. And a plot of Suicine and Tentacruel being homies... and the legendary birds and legendary beasts having hella beef cause they come from enemy empires, but the gag is... their parents (Ho-Oh and Lugia respectively) are having a secret romance
