Shawn Mendes has recently spoken up about his and y/n l/n's breakup in a recent interview. "we were both just really wrong for eachother. towards the end, i felt like we were just completely different people. It wasn't like my previous relationships, it was almost suffocating."
He continued to say that the relationship was a great "learning experience", but still mentions his ex. "Our relationship was, for the most part, amazing, at the time it was a breath of fresh air. But it just wasn't how I imagined and previously experienced."
There are no comments yet from y/n on this.

Loving you is all I need
Leah Williamson x reader fluff
Tumblr media
Leah and reader get stuck in an elevator together while they are fighting.
this is just a quick blurb
warnings: slight angst but also fluff
Words:650
"Hold the door" You yelled as you ran to the elevators. You and Leah had been fighting the previous night so you were a bit late to training. Someone sticks their arm out of the elevator to keep the doors from closing.
"Oh.. hi Lee" You said when you realized who was in the elevator.
"Hi Y/n"She said coldly to you and pressed the button with number six on it.
"are you seriously still mad at me? You never call me by my name it’s always some nickname" You frowned a little.
"I'm not mad. Just disappointed. I thought you wanted to get married with me but guess not" Leah said sounding hurt.
"But I do want to-" You started when the elevator stopped. You fell to the ground from the sudden stop.
"Shit y/n/n, are you okay?" Leah asked clearly worried.
"Yeah I think I am but my ankle hurts a little" You answered. Leah didn't respond but started pushing different buttons to call to someone that the elevator stopped.
"It's not working. Fuck this. Why there would read that if you push that button it would call somewhere when it doesn't fucking work" Leah said panicking a little.
"Leah calm down. Come and sit with me. Soon someone will realize that we didn't show up to training." You said to the blond woman.
She sat down next to you and calmed her breathing. You sat there a while in an awkward silence until you spoke.
"I'm sorry that I said no to your proposal but you never really gave me a chance to explain myself. You just got sad and left" You started.
"Well can you explain now. Whe have been together for 3 years and we have known each other for ten so what's the problem here? Or do you just not love me anymore?" Leah asked shyly.
"Oh Lee nothing like that. I love you so much and you know that. I won't ever leave your side. But it's just.. You remember how messy the divorce was between me and ex. It wasn't good for anyone and my mental health went so low. I just don't want to go through that again" You answered with tears in the corners of her eyes.
"Sweet I would never hurt you. I wouldn't cheat you like she did. I will do anything to protect you and I just want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to have kid's with you and I want to grow old with you. I don't want to spend another day alone. All I want is you my love"
"Okay then ask me " You said quietly.
"Huh?" Leah asked confused.
"Aske me again" You said again and Leah flipped you to sit on her lap. She looked right in your eyes and asked.
"Y/f/n. Will you marry me?" Leah asked smiling.
"Yeah" You answered laughing and crying and then kissed the blonde.
You sat there kissing passionately a while, own bubble. Suddenly the elevator started moving again and you had to snap back to reality.
Soon the doors opened and Leah stood up, then helping you. You then walked to the team room. You were limping and Beth came running to you.
"Oh My God. Are you guys okay?" Beth asked worried, Viv by her side.
"Better than ever." You said smiling. Then you looked at Leah and kissed her.
"Sooo we have some news for you guys" You started.
"Don't say you too are leaving Arsenal" McCabe said quickly.
"What, no! Why would you think that?" Leah asked laughing.
"I just saw a dream about it. Did you guys know th-" Katie started but Buv interrupted her.
"Just tell us the news" Viv said inpatient.
You looked at each other and said.
"We are getting married"

Dina’s sudden reappearance in your life was turning into one of the best things you had going on. When you were done with work, instead of loitering about Joel’s home and hoping to run into Ellie, you’d knock on Dina’s front door and spend your afternoons gossiping and trading stories.
She never asked so explicitly about Ellie again, but you could tell that occasionally she wanted to.
“Guess whose birthday it is this weekend?” asked Dina one day in late April. The Wyoming sun was hung high in the sky, and the weather was steadily becoming warmer. The temperature was stuck at a breezy 60, and a part of you wondered just how hot it would get over the summer.
Terranova rarely ever got over 70 degrees. Would it be hotter than that? Would you even be here to see it?
“Yours?” you guessed casually, pushing away the ever-present question of how long you’d really be in Jackson.
Dina snorted. “No. Not quite. You just missed mine, actually. I’m a December baby.”
“Jesse?”
“No.”
“Joel?”
“Nope.” Her mouth popped on the p.
Your heart thudded. “Uh—Ellie?”
Her face split into a wide grin. “Yes! It’s her 20th. Isn’t that crazy? She’s ancient.”
“Wow!” you said, coaxing faux enthusiasm into your voice.
You and her had kept seeing each other at night, long after Joel had turned in. It always proceeded like clockwork—she’d come knock at your door, you’d fall into her bed, and then you’d leave.
You’d thankfully avoided any of the embarrassing stuff that you’d done the second night—no more unnecessary sensual face touching and whispers of her being a good person. You wanted to, though. There was so much that you ached to tell her, so many words that threatened to spill from your lips that you just barely managed to keep at bay.
The worst part was the way that nothing had really changed between you two beyond what transpired every few evenings in her room. Each morning, you’d wake up knowing that you were in for another day of pretending like she didn’t know what it sounded like when you whined and begged and told her where to touch you. Like you didn’t know how her mouth tasted.
“I want to get her a present,” Dina was saying. “I do something for her every year, but I want this birthday to be a little different—given that she’s made it two decades and all, you know.”
“That’s really thoughtful of you.”
Dina’s eyes sparkled. “I know! Do you want to help? If you do, I’ll tell her it’s from you, too.”
“Actually,” you said, wheels in your head turning, “That would be amazing. I have no idea what I’d get her otherwise.”
“Great.” Dina leaned back, nabbing her backpack from the ground and fishing through it until she produced a map. She unfolded it and began gesturing over the marks. “I found an abandoned bookstore in this area outside of the wall.” She tapped on a dot that she’d made, situated a fair ways away from the wall and on the opposite side of the town as the dam.
“So we’re going shopping?”
Dina laughed. “Yeah. 5 finger discount, too. The only problem is that we might need to kill some baddies to qualify, but once we clear our way, it’s home free.”
“Right,” you said, fear creeping into your bones at the thought of having to fight off the infected. You’d only been on a few patrols since you’d been shot, and each had been totally unnoteworthy. You’d yet to actually shoot your gun at anything. “You—you do know that I’m not actually that good of a patrol partner, right?”
“Don’t worry about it,” said Dina, waving her hand dismissively. “I can take care of us. Plus, we haven’t seen infected in this area for a while. This is a pretty remote area—tough to reach unless you know what you’re looking for.”
“So, when are we going?”
A glimmer appeared in her eye. “Now?”
~
“Where are you going?”
Ellie stood, her arms crossed as she leaned against the opposite wall. You were grabbing your patrol things, slinging your backpack over your shoulders and pulling on the gray sweatshirt she’d given you.
“Out with Dina,” you said, slightly breathless from moving so quickly. You hadn’t been expecting Ellie to be home—normally she was keeping herself busy picking up extra patrol shifts and helping Joel. It had been an unwelcome surprise to run into her, sour faced and serious while you were trying to get ready.
“Out where?”
You shrugged, trying your best to look nonchalant. “Dina said she wanted to show me something.”
She was silent as you finished lacing up your shoes, but you could see her watching you from the corner of your eyes.
“I’ll be back in time for tonight, if that’s what you’re worried about,” you offered snidely, hardly realizing what you’d said until it had left your lips. It had been a low blow. It had been nasty. You weren’t sure why you’d said it.
“That’s not—” She rubbed the bridge of her nose with her fingers. “I didn’t mean it like that.”
“I know.” You stood up, feeling deflated. “Sorry. I don’t know why I said that.”
Ellie sent you a tight smile. “It’s fine.”
You walked back to Dina’s feeling heavy. That was how most of your interactions with Ellie seemed to go nowadays—awkward, stiff, and remarkably unfriendly. You weren’t sure what changed. And she was still fucking you, which didn’t make much sense.
Sometimes it felt like she was distancing herself on purpose. But that had to be wrong, because why would she do that? You obviously liked her. She wasn’t the one at risk of being hurt.
You and Dina took off by foot as the sun began to set, well-armed with both weapons and navigational equipment. Well—Dina was, at least. All you had was the small gun Ellie had given you. Dina was doing all of the heavy lifting.
The forest was quiet, interrupted only occasionally by songbirds and the sound of wind rustling through the leaves. Spring had hit Jackson suddenly, the underbrush exploding in volume and flowers blooming everywhere.
As you two walked through the woods, chattering mindlessly and generally enjoying each other’s company, you made a mental reminder to return to the forest to pick up a makeshift bouquet of flowers. Ellie didn’t seem like the type to swoon over things like that, but even the most unromantic people could recognize the gesture of flowers. You were sure she’d at least put them in a vase.
Eventually the path Dina was leading you on opened up to a heavily overgrown street, a small decrepit strip mall hidden away in the shrubbery.
“Here!” said Dina cheerily. She jogged forward, scrubbing the moss off of the door to show a book icon on the filthy glass.
“And you said that there’s no infected here?” you asked, your fingers wrapped nervously around your gun.
“Of course I did,” said Dina. “Do you think I’d take you somewhere that was infested?”
The glass shattered as a body came crashing through the door, thrashing and clicking in a mass of bloody limbs as it took Dina to the ground.
Your finger squeezed the trigger before you could think, sending a spray of gore into the air as Dina forced the thing off of her and stood, panting.
There wasn’t even a chance to breathe. A piercing shriek cut through the air before three more followed the first, not paying any mind to the jagged edges of the broken door that grabbed at their mutilated skin.
“Fuck!” Dina’s knife went swinging through the air, slicing and jabbing at the creatures in front of you. They fell in quick succession, but there was more rustling and screaming from inside. Far too much rustling. “Run!”
She didn’t have to tell you twice. Despite the fact that you’d never been a track star in school, you bolted quicker than you’d even known possible. Your backpack banged against your back as you sprinted down the road, ducking into the brush and making a break for it with Dina right on your tail.
The walk there had taken close to 30 minutes. Your sprint cut that in over half. You and Dina ran in stride, with her lagging behind to send off a few shots to ground the runners that were quick enough to keep up. The clearing you appeared in all the way back in the winter flashed by you in a second, and within another few moments, you were both resting against the wall, chests heaving as you both picked off the stragglers that had come out of the forest to investigate.
By the time the last gunshot rang out and the final infected slumped to the ground, you were shaking uncontrollably, your gun vibrating in your hand.
“Shit, I’m so sorry,” said Dina, equally breathless though significantly more composed as you two walked through the entrance, getting concerned looks from the people who were manning the gate. “I’ve never seen so many in that store before. I don’t understand. It was clear the last time I went.”
Before you could respond, someone stepped into your eye line.
“What the fuck did you do,” seethed Ellie. Her eyes were wild, her lip curled in a manner so derisive you began to wonder if you’d ever actually seen her angry before this.
“Chill, Ellie,” said Dina. “Y/N and I were just going to try and pick something up for your birthday. There were…a few more than what I was expecting. But it’s fine. We handled them. She did great.”
Ellie looked at you then, and you could feel her taking you in. Her eyes rested with accusation at the way that your hands were trembling. “You’re so fucking stupid, Dina. You knew that she’s never done this before. What the fuck is wrong with you, taking her out like that?”
“It was clear the last time I was there!” Dina spoke with her hands, waving them through the air in emphasis.“There wasn’t supposed to be any. I don’t know what to tell you. I didn’t purposefully try to get us killed.”
Ellie sent her another scathing look before turning her attention to you. “And don’t even get me started with you.”
You blinked. “What?”
“What the fuck were you thinking?!” she snapped.
Dina sent you a wink and disappeared down the street in the direction of her house.
“I was thinking of your birthday, actually,” you said delicately. “We were going to get you something from the bookstore.”
“That is not an excuse to go get yourself killed!”
You held up your hands in mock surrender, which looked really stupid considering how hard you were still trembling. “I’m sorry. That wasn’t the original plan. Can we not do this right now? I’m still trying to, uh, process what happened.”
As if to punctuate your point, the next step you took nearly sent you to the ground, your knees wobbling.
Ellie’s hands were at your sides in an instant, solid and steadying against you as you regained your balance.
“Sorry,” you said again, lower this time.
“How many?” Ellie asked. Her voice was softer now, almost resigned. She hadn’t let go yet.
“I don’t know,” you admitted. “After the first three or four, I lost count. They just kept—” You winced at the memory of the wet sound that they made hitting the ground. “They just kept coming.”
“You did them a favor,” said Ellie, stepping back and to your side as you began to walk forward. Her hand stayed posed on your forearm. “It gets easier.”
“I don’t know if I want it to get easier,” you confessed.
“Well, how about you start by never doing something that fucking stupid again.” Her words lacked any venom. “Don’t you ever go out without me again, okay? Do you have any idea what could’ve happened to you?”
You gave your trembling hands a look. “I can take a guess.”
Ellie walked you back to Joel’s house, helping you out of your jacket and unsubtly checking your skin for bites. Or at least that’s what she said she was doing. She couldn’t seem to stop touching you.
You headed back up to your room to get changed as Ellie shut the front door and was off to finish her work with Tommy. As you leisurely made your way down the hallway, you noticed that something was off—the hallway closet was slightly ajar.
The memories of your first night there came floating back to you, images of Ellie shutting the door before you could see inside emerging to the forefront.
It wouldn’t hurt to look, would it? It was probably nothing.
Your hand wrapped tentatively around the handle, pulling the door open so slowly that the old, rusty hinge fell silent.
It wasn’t what you were expecting. It wasn’t what you were expecting at all.
It wasn’t really a closet—there were a few shelves, but no hangers. In their place, there were stacks of textbooks with old, dated covers of the stars, planets, and physics. The back wall was plastered with drawings of constellations and calculations in Ellie’s messy scrawl, reminiscent of the leftover scrap paper from when you sat your physics exams and did your problem sets.
The memory of Ellie staring at your textbook re-emerged to hit you with full force. No wonder she was interested in it. THIS is what she was going to say that she wanted to study when you’d asked her.
A slow smile crept onto your face as you thought about her upcoming birthday.
You knew what you were getting her now.
~
Preparing for Ellie’s surprise party was a full day’s worth of work. You and Dina had convinced Maria to give Ellie enough things to do that she’d stay out of the house for the majority of the afternoon. You felt kind of guilty that Ellie was being put to work on her birthday of all days, but Dina just shook her head.
“It’s Ellie,” she said. “She lives to act all macho and patrol and shit. This is probably an extra present to her.”
You two had located some flour, sugar, eggs, and butter and were hard at work baking a cake. It was tough going without a real recipe, but you’d grown up with a mother who loved baking, so you tried to do it from memory.
The result was a rather lopsided looking monstrosity that you and Dina had attempted to salvage through the liberal application of the thin icing you’d managed to whip up using milk and powdered sugar. It didn’t work, and you two didn’t wait long enough for the cake to cool before frosting it, so it melted in puddles and made the cake soggy.
“Fantastic work,” said Dina, wiping her hands on her front as you two surveyed the final product. “Really incredible, Y/N. You should really consider a career change.”
“Shut up,” you said, snorting. “Ellie’s gonna hate this.”
“She’s going to think it’s hilarious,” Dina corrected. “I’m sure it can’t taste too bad, right?”
You shivered. “Don’t say that.”
The decorations and gathering of presents were thankfully an easier challenge, and before you knew it Joel’s living room was fixed up to look obnoxious as possible, with a tacky “HAPP BIRTHDAE ELLIE” strung up in blood red reflective plastic (you two couldn’t find any Ys) above the fireplace. “Happy 5th Birthday!” balloons filled the ceiling, their gaudy purple color clashing horrifically with the red of the lettering.
“This is just awful, Dina,” you said. “Ellie’s never going to speak to us again.”
“You need to chill,” Dina responded. “She might act grumpy all of the time, but I know her, and I know she’ll secretly like this.”
7 rolled around quickly, and with it came the guests.
First was the unsurprising Jesse, grinning and carrying a satchel that had a makeshift card attached to the top labeled “Ellie”.
Next came Astrid, Bonnie, and Greg—all of the patrolmen that were roughly around your age. You hadn’t spent all that much time with them, but they’d always been fun.
Last came a girl you’d never seen before.
“Hi!” she said, extending a hand and looking at you through a fringe of choppy black hair.
“Hi!” you said, taking her hand and shaking it once. “I’m Y/N.”
“I know,” she said, her eyes crinkling. “I’m Cat.”
“I can’t believe you two haven’t met before,” said Dina, swooping in to stand beside you. There was something written on her face—something that looked kind of like worry.
“I can’t either!” you said good-naturedly. “How do you know Ellie?”
Dina cringed.
Cat just smiled wider. “Oh. Ellie and I go way back.”
“Cat, why don’t you go help me in the kitchen? I need to finish plating some stuff,” said Dina.
“Sure!” Cat sent you one more winning smile, following Dina with a bounce in her step.
Something felt deeply off about that interaction, but you couldn’t quite put a finger on what it was. You’d never seen Dina so eager to get you away from someone. Maybe it’d just been a coincidence?
You didn’t get a chance to dwell on it further, because Ellie was opening the door.
“Surprise!” Everyone in the living room yelled upon seeing her.
Ellie blanched, her eyes landing on you for a moment before she cast her gaze to the rest of the room. “What’s this?”
“Your birthday party,” said Dina, appearing from the kitchen with a plate of crackers and other appetizers, Cat in tow. “You didn’t think we were just going to let you turn 20 without embarrassing you just a little bit?”
“Those are the most hideous balloons I’ve ever seen,” said Ellie, crossing her arms.
“Thanks,” you said, beaming. “I picked them out myself.”
Much to your surprise, her lips lifted until she was smiling back. “You’re such a loser.”
“Okay!” said Dina, clearing her throat and stepping in between you two. “You two can flirt later. I’ve been slaving away in the kitchen for an entire day. Let’s eat.”
You shut your mouth, blushing uncontrollably as your eyes lifted. Ellie’s cheeks looked uncharacteristically pink and her eyes were fixed on your shoes.
Dinner went by quickly, with everyone trading odd stories about patrolling and their life before Jackson. You learned that Dina had actually been born in New Mexico and that Astrid was from Oregon. You heard all about how Jesse and Greg came across an old mall a few miles out of Jackson that was so full of infected that they could hear them scratching at the doors and clicking even before they were within eyesight of the building. You told some stories about your life in Terranova, about studying and your family.
“What the fuck is this?” asked Ellie once Dina had reappeared, carrying your sorry excuse of a birthday cake. Time had not treated it well. The first layer was almost entirely slid off, and the cake looked damp from the melted icing.
“It’s your birthday cake,” you said. “We, uh, tried. I don’t have a cake recipe memorized, and it was harder than I expected.”
The candles Dina attempted to stick into the cake kept falling out, the structural integrity so weakened from the melted frosting that chunks were coming off.
“Let’s just pretend that there’s 20 candles,” said Dina finally once the top layer of the cake finally split in half.
“Right,” said Ellie, snorting.
Dina led a very enthusiastic rendition of the Happy Birthday song that ended in cheers and hollers as Ellie dramatically lowered her head to the cake and pretended to blow the “candles” out.
No one touched the cake, but you couldn’t blame them.
Next came presents. Jesse went first, giving Ellie a satchel that held a bunch of cleaning equipment for her patrol rifles. Dina had found a t-shirt that said “Enemy of the State” in goofy comic sans lettering, and Ellie was unsuccessful in holding back her giggles at seeing it.
“Dina, this is so stupid,” she said, but there was no venom in her tone, just amusement.
It was your turn next, so you leaned across the table to place the small box in front of her.
“Please tell me you didn’t almost die getting this one,” said Ellie, giving you a suspicious look.
“Not at all,” you said. “I accidentally brought it from Terranova.”
Her nimble fingers untied the flimsy ribbon you’d haphazardly wrapped around the tiny brown box, lifting the lid off and peering inside.
“It’s a…rock?” Ellie frowned, pulling it out and holding it in her hand.
“You got her a rock for her birthday?” Cat asked you from her position to your right, her eyebrows raised.
“It’s not just a rock,” you said. “It’s a moon rock. Like, from the moon.”
Ellie froze, her eyes saucers as she stared at the rock balanced in her palm. “What?”
“I told you I studied astrophysics,” you said casually. “One of my professors let me borrow it because my research supervisor wanted to take a look at it, so it was in my bag. And I never had the chance to give it to him, obviously. So it’s yours now.”
“Holy fuck.” She turned in over, her fingers running across the surface. “This is…wow. Oh my god.”
“That’s so cool, dude,” Jesse said. “Like, insane. I didn’t even know that those were a thing.”
“There’s only a couple in the world,” you added. “And even fewer that are still reachable. The rest are…well, out here somewhere. Terranova only has a few from our own expeditions and the professors who managed to grab what they had when they moved.”
“This one’s from me,” said Cat, leaning forward and placing an envelope in front of Ellie. “It’s not as cool as a moon rock, but I thought you’d like it.”
Her fingers slid under the tongue of the envelope, ripping it open and pulling a piece of paper out.
“Good for one more free tattoo,” Ellie read out.
Cat sat back, looking awfully pleased with herself.
“Cat was the one who gave Ellie the one on her arm,” Dina explained to you.
A memory pricked at your consciousness, dating back to your first patrol with Ellie.
An ex had given her the tattoo on her arm.
The girl who had given her tattoo was Cat.
Cat was her ex.
That makes so much sense you realized with horror as you remembered how Cat had told you so confidently that she and Ellie went way back. Of course they did. They used to date.
“Where’d you go?” asked Dina, bumping your shoulder.
“Sorry,” you said, rubbing the bridge of your nose. “Just, uh, tired.”
When you looked up, Ellie’s eyes were on you, her lips slightly quirked.
You looked away, instead focusing on the placemats that Dina had set out. Cat was so different from you—so peppy, so confident, so loud. No wonder Ellie didn’t want anything more than what you had now. Whatever Ellie had seen in Cat had nothing to do with you.
The night ended with you all sitting on the couches in the living room with Dina mixing drinks so strong that you were wondering if she was trying to kill you.
“Jesus Christ, Dina,” you said as you watched her pour. “What is that? 90 percent vodka?”
“I prefer to call it efficient,” Dina corrected.
It burned going down your throat and you fought back a cough as you placed your glass back on the coffee table. Ellie was right next to you, her thigh barely brushing against yours as you moved.
Cat was on the other side of the room, seated next to Jesse and Astrid. You were internally very proud that Ellie had chosen to sit next to you instead. Her arm rested on the back of the couch behind you, and even though it couldn’t have meant all that much, you couldn’t help but wonder if it at least meant something.
You were just halfway through your cup by the time you started to feel really and properly sloshed. Your voice sounded tinny in your ears, and from the way that Ellie was laughing at anything anyone said, you had a sneaking suspicion that she was somewhere around where you were.
It wasn’t long before everyone had excused themselves and wished Ellie a final happy birthday—it was getting late and quite a few had early shifts the next day.
Dina was the last to go, saying goodbye and sending you another look as she pointedly stared at the arm rested behind you.
For a few minutes, you and Ellie just sat in silence, hearing the fire crackle and the sound of her softly breathing.
Then she spoke.
“How did you know that I’d like the moon rock?”
“Oh.” You blushed. “Don’t be mad. You left the closet door open the other day—you know, the one with all your space textbooks and everything. It was an educated guess.”
“So nosy,” she tutted.
“But you do like the rock?”
She smiled. “Yes. Thank you.”
You reached forward and polished off the rest of the drink that Dina had made you, feeling the liquid fire slide down your throat and settle in your stomach.
When you turned back, you could see Ellie staring at you, her auburn hair glowing in the firelight, her pupils blown wide, and her eyes slightly unfocused. She’d had more than one of the drinks that Dina had made, and it was really showing.
“You’re so pretty.”
You froze. Out of all the things you expected her to say, that was nowhere on the list. The words had left Ellie’s lips like a compulsion, raw and honest.
She hadn’t stopped looking at you, but her eyes were wider, her cheeks red. She hadn’t meant to say it, you realized. Now she was embarrassed and flustered, and it was all because of you.
It was the boldness of being tipsy that made you move towards her, pulling your legs up until you were seated on your knees in front of her.
Ellie didn’t move apart from wetting her lips, her eyes darting from your eyes to your mouth.
When you kissed her, she melted into you. The arm that had been draped over the couch behind you dropped to your back, your own hands sliding into her hair and tightening at the back of her neck.
She gasped as she felt your nails scrape against her, and you took the opportunity to lick into her open mouth, tasting the vodka on her tongue as it slid against yours.
To your surprise, her hands didn’t creep up your shirt or dip below the waist of your pants. They stayed static, one glommed onto your back while the other clutched your jaw as she let you kiss her, over and over again.
You couldn’t quite put your finger on it, but there was something about it that felt different than your usual nighttime meetups. It felt more—vulnerable, almost, that Ellie was kissing you just to kiss you, not with some other agenda.
The grandfather clock chimed, indicating that it was almost midnight. You pulled away from her for a second, panting as you caught your breath. A string of saliva suspended between your lips, snapping as you waved a hand through it and flushed.
“Sorry,” you whispered.
She just smiled.
“Is Joel going to be back soon?”
As if to punctuate your point, the front door banged open, the man in question pulling his jacket off and turning to see you both. You’d thankfully managed to get off her lap before he saw.
“Oh!” he said, his eyebrows nearly touching his hairline. “I wasn’t expecting you two to still be awake.”
“Uh, yeah,” said Ellie, scratching the back of her neck. “We’ve just been…talking.”
“Good party?”
“Yeah.”
“I’m glad. Tommy and Maria wish you a happy birthday, by the way. Though I’m sure you knew that.”
“Yeah. Thanks.”
“Well,” said Joel, giving a sigh that only old men could recreate, “I’m off to bed. You two don’t stay up too late, huh? You’ve still got work tomorrow.”
“Goodnight,” you two chorused.
Once Joel had disappeared into his room, you turned to look at her.
“That was close.”
“Yeah.” Ellie laughed nervously, picking at her cuticles. “Um—do you want to move somewhere else?”
Something deep in your chest ached. Sure, you’d be okay with spending another hour or so feeling her hands on you as she made you finish, but a part of you had really liked just touching her for the sake of touching her—kissing her just because you could.
“Sure,” you said. “Just give me a chance to change.”
When you knocked after switching into more comfortable clothes, the door swung open to reveal a significantly more nervous looking Ellie than you’d seen in a while.
“Hi,” you said shyly.
“Hi.”
You stepped into her, pressing a tentative kiss to the corner of her mouth. When she didn’t react, you pulled back.
“Is everything okay?”
“Do you want to stay over?” Ellie blurted out, her eyes wide and afraid.
You balked. “Uh, what?”
“You don’t have to,” she said, her eyes dropping to the ground. “I’m sorry. I know we’re not like that. I just thought that—maybe, I dunno, just this once—”
“Yes,” you interrupted. “Please. I’d really like that.”
“Right. Good. Okay.” She took a deep breath, then laced her fingers through yours to lead you to her bed.
When your mouth found hers again, it was just like on the couch—no intentionally rough or overtly sexual touches, just gentle brushes against your skin and the weight of fingers tangled in your hair as she pulled you further into her.
For the first time since you confessed, you didn’t sleep together. When you two finally tired out, you flopping down on the pillow first, Ellie’s head came to rest on the expanse of skin between your shoulder and your neck, your arms coming around her.
It was strange. For someone so deadly and tough, Ellie suddenly looked so small and fragile curled against you, the rise and fall of her chest synchronized with your breathing.
“I’m sorry Cat was invited,” Ellie said, her voice muffled from where her face was pressed into your neck.
“What do you mean?”
“I should have told you what her name was. That must’ve been a nasty surprise.”
Her foresight and understanding made your heart ache, deeply. How was it that she could say all these things but not want anything more with you?
“It was alright,” you said. There was no conviction in your tone. “I wouldn’t have expected you to tell me.”
Ellie was silent for a few beats. You knew she was thinking, though; you could feel the flutter of her lashes against you as she blinked.
“How long do you think it’ll take for you to forget me?”
You paused. “What? What do you mean?”
Ellie shifted against you, one of her arms draped over your chest. “I mean, when you go back.”
“Ellie,” you chided, bringing your hand up so you could run your fingers through her hair. “Don’t be ridiculous. As if I’d ever just leave you behind. If I go back there, I’m finding some way to bring you with me. So, no. That’s not even a valid question. I’m never forgetting you.”
In truth, you hadn’t even begun to consider what you’d do if—when—you were found. You’d been so focused on trying to fit into your new life here that your past had largely just faded into the back, shrinking in the horizon. What you did know, at least, was that even in some dystopian future without Ellie, she’d never be off of your mind.
“Don’t make promises you can’t keep.”
“I’m not,” you replied, tapping her shoulder. “I mean it. You’re stuck with me.”
Her diaphragm vibrated as she let out a short laugh. “Oh, the horrors.”
She fell silent as you kept threading your fingers through her hair, letting your nails scrape against her scalp. The hand that wasn’t draped over your chest had crept up, her thumb rubbing back and forth as she traced the outline of your jaw.
“I’m sorry,” she said suddenly. “I can be such a sad drunk sometimes. It’s pathetic.”
“It’s okay,” you soothed, your other hand lightly dancing up and down her back. “I think it’s sweet.”
She snorted. “You would.”
Then, after a few more seconds of silence: “You really weren’t jealous?”
“I never said that.”
“So she did make you jealous?”
You flicked her shoulder. “Fuck off. Of course she did. Happy?”
“Thrilled.”
A few moments later, she spoke up again.
“Can you promise me something?” Her voice was deceptively casual.
“Anything.” You’d give her anything she wanted.
“Promise me that you’ll take the first opportunity to go home,” she said softly. “Promise you won’t do anything stupid.”
“I’ll take the first opportunity to go home as long as I get to have you around, too.”
You couldn’t see it, but you knew she was rolling her eyes. “Not good enough.”
“You want me to leave that badly?” You weren’t sure if you should be hurt.
“Of course not,” she responded. “I just...I don’t expect you to wait around here for me. I don’t want you to. I want you to be safe.”
“I feel safe with you.”
“Will you just—fucking—say you’ll go?” Her voice sounded raw, tired.
“Fine,” you said. “I promise.”
Your words were empty. You couldn’t promise her that. She had to know that. But would it matter? If you never had to make that choice?
In retrospect, you weren’t sure when you drifted off. All you remembered was the warmth of Ellie gathered up in your arms, her measured breath blowing across your exposed neck as you felt the slow, marching rhythm of her heart.
~
When you awoke to the early morning sunbeams streaming in through the window and warming your face, Ellie was passed out cold on top of you. A few unruly strands of her auburn hair had ruffled upwards overnight, sticking to your cheek and threatening the seams of your lips.
You’d never been happier.
As you thought, running your hand gently up and down the length of her spine, Ellie’s breath hitched.
You froze, thinking you must have woken her.
Then she made a quiet snort. She took another deep breath in, whistling as it went. Her next exhale was louder and caught in her nose.
You did your best not to laugh enough to wake her.
Ellie snored, even though she wasn’t that loud. The part of you that was still intimidated by her was shrinking by the minute. If only you had known in the beginning that after a long day of bullying you she went back to her room to honk shoo the night away, you never would’ve let it bother you.
She jolted awake, blinking rapidly as she pulled away and looked up at you.
“What the fuck are you laughing about?” she said groggily. “It’s—” She twisted in your arms, squinting at her desk. “It’s 6 in the fucking morning. Shut up.” With that, she flopped back down on top of you, laying one arm over your torso so she could shove it the space under the pillow beside your head.
“You shut up,” you heard yourself say.
Ellie smacked your shoulder, not even bothering to lift her head.
“You snore,” you said, quieter this time.
“I don’t.”
“You literally do. I was there when it happened.”
She was silent for a few moments. “Really?”
You pressed your lips to her forehead instead as you trembled from the laugh you were doing your best to rein in.
“Oh, god,” groaned Ellie. “That’s so embarrassing.”
“I thought it was cute.”
“You think everything I do is cute.”
“And what about it?”
You settled back in, wrapping your arms around Ellie as you tried to drift back off.
“Do you hear that?”
Her voice was whispered.
“Hear what?”
“That sound.”
You let go of her and sat up, your eyes unfocused as you tried your best to tune into whatever Ellie was talking about. Out of the corner of your vision you could see her staring at you with big, nervous eyes.
It took you a moment to notice it. No one could blame you, really. It was hardly a rarity to hear the sound of a plane when you grew up in Terranova.
“That’s a plane, Ellie,” you said, reaching out to cup her face. “It’s fine.”
“A plane?” She frowned, still blinking bleariness out of her eyes. “I’ve never heard one before. Joel told me that they stopped being used after the government officially fell.”
“That’s not true,” you corrected. “There’s some in—”
A puzzle piece clicked into place, and with it came a sense of underlying dread. But you shouldn’t be dreading it. It’s what you were hoping for after all, weren’t you? What you’d been praying for since you’d arrived?
“Let’s go outside and look,” you said, nudging her side. “I’m sure it’s nothing.” You were hoping it was nothing.
Ellie followed you, pulling a throw blanket from her bed and draping it around her shoulders like a cape. She looked so cute like that. You wanted to bite her. Not, like, in a weird blood kink way. Just in a…you didn’t know how to describe it. Better leave it there.
A lump formed in your throat.
Maybe you were wrong. Maybe this had nothing to do with you.
The air was tepid and pleasant against your bare skin as you two quietly opened the front door and crept onto the porch. The town was quiet. No one was awake at this hour, not unless they were down by the stables or doing night watch.
There was a sliver of pink and orange hanging over the tops of the mountains, no doubt remnants of what had been a spectacular sunrise. There were still snowy caps on the highest peaks. You hadn’t known that mountains could stay so cold for so long until you’d come to Jackson.
The lump in your throat grew larger.
“Shit,” said Ellie, leaping down from the porch and onto the road. “Do you see this?”
The plane was no longer in sight, but the swirling papers that hadn’t been on the road the night before were left as evidence.
“They must’ve dropped them,” said Ellie excitedly, snatching one from the ground and bounding back up the steps so she was next to you. “What do you think this says?”
You smiled sadly. “Why don’t you read it?”
She unfolded the envelope, ripping open the top and dumping the contents out in her hand.
“Oh.”
It was a picture of you. It’d been taken months prior at your family’s Christmas party. You’d worn glittery silver eyeliner and curled your hair. The upper half of your body was in view, clad in a rich red fabric that landed right below your collarbones. A string of creamy white pearls were clasped around your neck, matching the teardrop pearls that hung delicately from your ears.
HAVE YOU SEEN HER?
There was no other text, but you did notice a divet at the top right corner in the shape of a small oval.
Terranovan security. Of course.
Wordlessly, you pressed your thumb into the mold, holding it there for a second as the parchment recorded your print.
Then a paragraph formed at the bottom, ink slowly leaking into the paper.
COME TO THE COORDINATES LISTED BELOW AT EXACTLY NOON, MAY 15TH. A LIFT WILL BE WAITING TO ESCORT YOU.
You’d been found.
final a/n: sorry not sorry this was the original cliffhanger that i was planning for part 4 all along. you guys are incredible for still sticking around and reading even though this is getting lengthy as hell. anyway i hope you guys enjoyed this sort of different side of ellie before we reach the final act. the plot is abt to reach its peak and i’m hellaaa excited to share it with you. okok let me know what you think! it might take me around the same time it took me to finish part 4 to get part 5 out considering how sick i am/how much i have on my plate, but i promise it’s coming :))

ᶻ 𝗓 𐰁 Restless Nights w Enhypen ! ⩇⩇:⩇⩇
Tumblr media
༯ pairing: bf!enha x snoring s/o ☁️
༯ warnings: cavity inducing fluff, language, a lil crack
༯ wc: less than 200 words for each member
Tumblr media
니키 | Niki - Once you and Niki started sleeping in the same bed together, it was game over for you about three nights in when he ~discovered~ your snoring habit. The menace in him couldn’t help but record your noisy fits, just in case he ever ran out of things to tease you for 🤭 He even nicknamed you “piglet” the next day 😭 You’d feel a lil insecure about it (at first) until asking him what he meant by it, and he’d simply show you the video, holding back his laugh… He’d use his height advantage against you as you desperately tried reaching for his phone to delete the video 🤧🤧 “NIKI IF YOU DON’T DELETE THAT SHIT, I’M NEVER SLEEPING WITH YOU AGAIN!!” He’d drop his arm immediately, handing you the phone. “I’m sorry,” he’d whisper, pulling you in for a hug.
정원 | Jungwon - Usually, Jungwon is a VERY LATE sleeper, so there are nights when he doesn’t mind your snoring as much. However, if he’s really tired and in need of some quality rest 😪, your snoring can be somewhat of a hinderance to him. So, he researched methods that might aid your noisy habit. Meditating or simply listening to calming music with you before bed soon developed into more than just an anti-snore scheme, but a part of your nightly routines 🥰🥰
“I’m so tired, Wonie, can we please just go to bed?”
“Right after we meditate first.”
“But why,” you pouted.
“It’ll help you sleep better, ____. Just give me 10 minutes, and afterwards, we can cuddle.” After that offer, you’d happily oblige, and sometimes, end up meditating in each others presence for even longer than planned.
선우 | Sunoo - Some nights, Sunoo finds your snoring cute, while other nights he finds it ANNOYING AS HELL 😩, so it really depends on his mood. One night, he was so fed up with it that he plugged your nose while you were sleeping, just to laugh his ass off when you wake up wheezing 💀 until you look at him like “😤” and he makes up every excuse 🪦
“Go back to sleep, honey, you probably just had a bad dream.”
“Sunoo.”
“Fine, the truth is, your snoring was annoying the hell out of me, so I tried to cheer myself up by letting the intrusive thoughts win. My apologies.”
“Sunoo.”
“Look, I promise I’ll never do it again, baby 🥺.”
“SUNOO!”
“What?” Those were his final words before you’d initiate a revenge tickle fight, tiring him out before you both fell back to sleep, snoring together this time 😴
성훈 | Sunghoon - Honestly, Sunghoon isn’t bothered by your snoring habit at all. He GETS his beauty sleep 💅✨💋, regardless of the earthquake occurring on your side of the bed 🥴 The only time he’ll tease you about it is if you snore ~excessively~ right after intimacy 🙈 He’d wake up the next morning and trace lazy shapes on the small of your back, admiring your EVERYTHING in the moment of silence before saying some cheeky shit like:
“Was it that good, baby?”
You’d wake up at the sound of his voice, groggy and confused.
“What’re you talking about, Sunghoon?”
“Last night, silly. You were snoring like a beast, so it must’ve been fabulous.” You could feel heat rush to your face, both out of embarrassment and affection ☺️☺️
제이크 | Jake - As you came to learn while dating him, Jake is a softie at heart 🥹🫀🍬 He finds your snoring habit SOOO endearing. Sometimes, he likes to think of the different animals your snores remind him of 😑, but his all time favorite snores are the kitten purrs you make while nuzzled against his chest, making his heart thud like a whole ass drum!!! He can’t wait to update you the next morning, telling you how cute you sounded/looked in your sleep 😌 He also DEFINITELY took a picture or two 👀
“Baby, guess what! It’s really important,” he’d say in his adorable Aussie accent, shaking you from your slumber…. at 5am 🫠
“Yeah, what is it Jakey?”
“You looked really pretty while you slept, and your snores sounded saur freaking cute, and I love you, and I also can’t wait to sleep next to you again TONIGHT, and-”
“HOW IS THAT IMPORTANT, JAKE?”
제이 | Jay - Jay absolutely can’t STAND your snoring! He’s pretty big on physical touch in a relationship, viewing cuddle sessions as a form of ~life support~ in most cases. Though, he simply has a very low tolerance for the noise you make, especially when he’s tired 🥱 The poor guy ends up sleeping on the couch during most of your snoring fits so he doesn’t wake up cranky or disturb you with his tossing and turning 😭😭 It’s honestly for the best 💝
“Jayyyy,” you call from your shared bedroom.
By now, he knew exactly what you wanted whenever you called his name like that.
He picked up his pillow and blanket from the couch, meeting you on the mattress.
“Cuddles?” You’d ask, tugging at the hem of his shirt.
“Always 😏”
희승 | Heeseung - Knowing Heeseung, he’d probably be snoring right on with ya. He’s a ~vocal~ man in his waking life and it’s not very different when he’s asleep either. His snores aren’t as loud as yours, but he sleeps like a baby through your noise anyways 😌 Heeseung believes snoring is an indicator that one is catching up on some well-needed and deserved rest, so he’ll likely NEVER complain about it 🫶🤗
Hugging you from behind, he’d pull you closer the second you tried to escape his hold.
“Heeseung, I need to pee,” you’d whine, squirming in his arms.
“What if I miss you while you’re gone?” He’d ask you, pouting.
“I’ll come back as soon as I finish, okay?”
“Ugh, okay,” he’d answer, only for you to come back two minutes later and find him smiling into your pillow, drifting back to sleep.

Secret Arrangement
(f/s) = favorite show
Warnings: slight violence, language, lil bit of kissing
Tumblr media
Natasha clutched her side, glaring at the (now unconscious) Hydra agent who had shot her.
"You ass."
"He can't hear you, you know." Clint said, appearing beside her.
"Yeah, but he's still an ass." She looked down at her side, seeing the hole from the bullet going straight through. Thunder booming in the background because of Thor's earlier lightning theatrics.
"We should get back so you can have Banner check that out."
"Yeah, I guess." Natasha winced slightly, the pain from the bullet wound spiking whenever she moved. They walked back to the quinjet, Bruce immediately getting up to check her wound once they were in. "What time is it?" she asked, hoping she wasn't late.
"It's 8," Bruce responded, patching up her side. "You have to go back to the compound, I don't have all the stuff to treat you."
"No. What time are we going to get back, Tony?"
"Probably around 10, why? Hot date?"
Yes, actually.
"I have plans at 9, is there anyway we can go faster?"
Tony turned around in the pilot seat, grinning at me. "Hell yeah, we can go faster."
 "Language!"
 •••••
Natasha looked at her watch, wincing when she saw that it was already 10 past 9. "So, are you still continuing your plans with (y/n)? Y'know since you're injured and all that." Clint asked.
Her jaw dropped. "How do you know about, (y/n)?"
They had been careful to keep their relationship a secret so that (y/n) would never get targeted by someone who wanted to hurt Natasha or get revenge on her.
He snorted. "Please, you've been my friend for years. You think I wouldn't find out about you being in a serious relationship with someone? But back to my question, are you canceling your plans with her or not?"
She looked around, making sure no one had heard him, only to meet eyes with Wanda who was sitting a couple meters away. She looked surprised, turning to Vision who was sitting on one side with Pietro on the other.
Nat sighed. "Yeah, I think so. I'm injured and I don't want to worry her so I'll wait til I'm all healed up then head home."
She was disappointed, she had planned a whole surprise for her and now (y/n) wouldn't get to see it.
 "Well...that's stupid."
 "What?"
"She's gonna worry more if you spend the night in the infirmary than if you go home late to your plans." Clint said, twirling an arrow in his hands.
"I have a gunshot wound," she said, emphasizing the words. "You don't think she's gonna worry if I go home right now?"
He shook his head, exasperated. "She's an Emergency Room doctor. She's used to that stuff and she'll know that your side will be fine. So yeah, she'll worry, but not as much as if you spend the night in the med wing. Let her treat your wound. "
"Hmm," she thought about it. The thought of seeing you even sooner was appealing. "For once you're right, Clint," she raised her voice, "Hey, Tony! Drop me off at my apartment complex!"
 •••••
"So, how exactly are you getting down?" Tony called out, keeping us hovering over my building.
"Just lower the rope ladder." Natasha responded, ready to get home.
"I'll do you one better," he said, then proceeded to land in the empty parking lot.
"Thanks, I guess, though seriously I could've just used the ladder," she told him, standing up from my seat.
"Yeah, but I wasn't gonna go down the rope ladder sooo," he said, also standing up from his chair.
"You're not coming with me," she stated firmly.
"Sure I am," Tony said with a smirk, "anyone else wanna come with me to see why Romanoff has been skipping out on us?"
"I already know why," Wanda said, sending me a knowing look. "But yes I'd like to come too."
Natasha sighed, mind readers are annoying.
"If Wanda is going I believe I should go too, " Vision said.
"Me too," Pietro chimed in, the rest of them quickly agreeing.
Natasha walked out of the quinjet, turning around and glaring at all her teammates. Steve, Tony, Thor, Wanda, Pietro, Vision, Bruce, and Clint all following her off of the aircraft. Natasha walked quickly, arriving at the apartment door quickly. They must've looked strange, the Avengers standing in the dark corridor outside of an upscale apartment, all of them still in their gear.
Natasha unlocked the door, opening it quietly. The hallway was dimly light, the scarce light shining from the living room. She could hear the sound of the TV, she smiled, (y/n) must be back to binging her (f/s). Nat turned around, shutting the door on her teammates, enjoying the shock written across their faces but wincing slightly from a pain that came from her side.
She heard the TV pause, "Tash?" Light footsteps came toward her, Nat moving to meet them.
"Hey, babe," she saw her, those lovely (e/c) eyes meeting hers as a delighted smile flitted across her face.
You moved to give her a hug only for her to stop you. You looked at her, confused.
At least, until she smashed her lips onto yours. You responded quickly, your lips moving together perfectly as she backed you up against the wall. Winding one arm around your waist while one held your face. You gasped into the kiss, bringing one hand to the name of her neck while the other settled on her hip.
Nat winced, stopping the kiss before continuing.
But you noticed the small flinch.
"Wait, wait," your mouth murmured against hers as you pulled away. Grabbing her hand and leading her to the couch, you lifted up her shirt. "Tash you should've told me," you sighed, looking at the stitches that Bruce had put there to close the wound.
"Didn't seem to matter-" there was a loud knock at the door, "I'll get it."
"No, you will not." You stood up, "I'll get the door and you relax."
You turned and walked down the hall, Nat heard her open the door and talk to someone. She stood up when she heard the many footsteps coming down the hall. You entered the room, the Avengers coming in after her.
She scowled, "I told you to relax, sit down."
"Lady Widow, who is this beautiful woman?" Thor asked.
Natasha held up her left hand, showing the simple gold and silver band circling her finger. "She's my wife."
"You're married?!"
 "The fuck?"
 "Since when?"
The Natasha Romanoff brainrot has set in, if you couldn't tell.

Alastor feelings part 3.
Please dont hesitate to comment and/or share if you want :)
Tumblr media
You
Next morning
Sooo ..you had a date with Alastor
Whats that like ? I want to know every détails.
Ok Angel. It wasnt a date. We had tea and a chat. Thats all. Sorry to disappoint.
Aaaww Come on now toots! We all see how hes been looking at you! I mean not with a lot of emotions, but he seems to look at you à lot more than anyone else
You decided to play his game.
Yeaah and we all notice how you look at Husk and the loving smiles you make when he's there and you think nobody sees you ;)
Wait..what!? No i dont!
Ok honey. Keep your secrets and i'll keep mines.
On that, you left for breakfast duty. Alastor never ate with you all but you left a chocolat and Chili Pepper in front of his door. When you pass his door later , it was gone.
You had a " feel good" circle with Charlie and the others were you had to say one thing good about the person on your left. You said that Nifty was a bundle of Joy and that she makes you smile. She looked at you happily and said: can i braid your hair!?
When 4 oclock arrived, you made your way to Alastor's with a plate of Madeleine. You knocked.
Entrez ma chère!
Al was standing not far from the door just waiting for you it seems.
Today were having a delicate white tea. It will go well with the Madeleines you brought.
How did you know thats what i was going to bring?
Ah! I know everything that happens in here dear. And that cupcake was delicious. The Chili gave it quite à Nice touch!
Thanks! I love dark Chili chocolate. Glad you liked it.
You both made your way to the table and sat down.
I have something for you. Lets say its a late welcome gift.
He then seemed to produce out of nowhere a plant in a pot with big dark purple flowers that looked like Peace Lilys except for what look like little teeth around the border of the flower.
Ooh! I love it! Its gorgeous! And the flower makes me think of your mic. Have you noticed?
Well, now that you said it, i guess they do! You said your were missing nature so i thought this would be a great addition to your bedroom decor.
And you were right. Im touched. Thank you Alastor.
You put your hand on his and smiled at him. He returned it and...hes he blushing? Al took out his hand from under yours and poured the tea.
Better not let it get cold. No one likes cold tea.
You thought his apparent shyness at this moment was terribly cute but said nothing. You wouldnt want to embarrassed him .
After an hour or so of chatting you said while looking around you:
Say, where is your bed?
Alastor chocked on his tea and cough.
My what now?
Your bed?? Where do you sleep?everyone seem to think you just dont.
Oh i do sleep. Even the great Alastor needs to recuparate! But my shadow doesnt. So we can say i always have an eye open.
Ok. Can i see it?
My..bed..?
Yes. But wait im sorry. Maybe its to private.
Well if you so désire.just follow me.
So you did. A little furter in the swamp/forest the ground suddenly became à hard dark Wood floor. There was à kinda room but with only 3 walls and no ceiling. The pretty large (also wood) bed with burgundi sheets and 5 fluffy pillows was in the middle. The air was cooler there and the forest sound less audible.
Thats nice! And you can see the dark sky when you sleep and even stars and the moon like on earth.
You jumped on the bed to see the sky better. The bed was super confortable. Looking at the sky you said.
Wow thats so cool. I could fall asleep in an instant here. And i certainely need more pillows for my bed.
Alastor
He was looking at you not knowing exactly what to do. He thought: What is she doing? Just curiosity? Does she wants me to join? Al was just there looking at you admiring the sky and him admiring you with a gentle smile but eyes wide open. When you sat up , you almost knocked your forehead on his as he had sit near you without you noticing. You let out à little yelp and started laughing. It was the most beautiful laugh Alastor ever heard. Something came over him and he knew he would die if he didnt kissed you right this moment. So he did. He pressed his lips against yours . They were so soft. She didnt recoiled like he was scared she maybe would but insted seemed to melt a little in his embrace and made the tiniest moan. Alastor stopped the Kiss and put his hand on your cheek.
I..im sorry. That wasnt very gentleman of me to Kiss you without your permission. Well! I have a radioshow to do! I beleive you know the way out!
He rapidely stood up , put you on your feet and pushed you gently toward the exit of his bedroom.
Toodaloo! Have a great night!
Alastor noticed you were to stunned to speak and y9u just said :"err okay" and went on your way.
Once alone Alastor lost his smile for only a second. What was he thinking ! That wasnt the way to go surely. And to almost throw her out after the Kiss! He was never that nervous and he didnt liked it. Maybe romance wasnt for him after all...
You
What the fuck just happenned !? You would never had anticipate this. The Kiss was for sure a surprise but after the initial shock, you were completely in extasy. And it was just a Kiss. But then he went and decided he had to get away from you AGAIN!? you were sitting on your bed with the potted plant on your lap when suddenly you felt à sharp pain on your hand. The plant bit you.
Next morning when you oppenned the door there was 7 fluffy pillows in front of your door.
Ok im done for the day. Hope you enjoyed. More tomorrow!

Tumblr media
“It’s fuckin’ November.”
Jack glares at it, picking up his distorted reflection in the absurdly large golden baubles being clipped onto the branches and curling his nose slightly at the ruffle of cheap tinsel as it gets draped and wound around the thick body of the tall tree. He studies it with a heavy air of judgement, deciding very quickly that it’s tacky.
What’s with the plastic shit nowadays? Where are the real trees? The ones that throw off heady waves of pine and shed their dry needles all over the damn floor?
And why the hell is everyone so hell bent on celebrating Christmas so damn prematurely? What’s the rush? Everyone celebrates through November and it leaves no excitement for December. By the time Christmas eventually rolls around, surely everyone’s sick of trees and gaudy decorations and that damn chirpy ear drilling music —
Tequila tsks lightly, slapping his friend's arm affectionately as he continues on to Champ’s office.
“Aw, c’mon man, don’t be a grinch! Gotta get that Christmas spirit flowin’.”
He was a Christmas person, Whiskey discovered. December the year they met, partnership still fresh and admittedly unstable, the man had been humming Christmas songs and munching on gingerbread and candy canes like they were going out of fashion. If it wasn’t for his damn good company and decent sense of humour, Whiskey probably would’ve requested a transfer.
Whiskey grunts, tearing his eyes away from the bright and merry decorations and following along after, fingers running along his belt and tucking in any stray untucked pieces of shirt that had rucked up during his walk.
“I ain’t a grinch – it’s November. Act accordingly.”
Tequila’s still laughing and poking at the so-called Scrooge when they breeze past Champ’s ever busy secretary and into his office, delivering a breezy two fingered salute as the man in question turns from gazing out of the floor to ceiling window running along the length of the room.
Champ eyes them both seriously, features pulled into tight scrutiny, before he smacks his lips quietly and levels his gaze on Jack.
“You still stealing gifts and telling kids Santa ain’t real?”
Tequila hides a snort in his palm and Jack gives a little glower, unable to keep his lips from twitching.
“I’d never.”
Champ’s face eventually breaks into a grin and he gives a low chuckle, lowering himself into his chair with a small exhale that blows out from around the press of his lips.
“I will admit I’ve never seen the appeal of celebrating a month early.”
“Thank you,” Jack’s head rolls to eye Tequila critically.
The man remains unbothered and lets his shoulders lift into a small shrug, a grin stretched across his lips. “I don’t even care. The second spooky season ticks over midnight on October 31st? It’s Christmas.”
“You’re a damn embarrassment.”
“Man, you love me.”
“Fellas,” Champ rumbles with mirth and catching both men's attention, “enough now. Shall we get to it?”
Time rolls by as Champ gives Tequila his next mission and Jack listens attentively, throwing in his opinion when asked and preparing for whatever is coming his way next, but in a strange turn of events, nothing comes. He frowns as Champ finishes up the meeting, slipping the thick framed glasses from his nose and throwing them softly onto his desk.
“Uh, sir?” His confusion only grows when it becomes clear Champ had nothing for him. “What about me?”
“What about you? You are takin’ some leave – startin’ this afternoon,” Champ says, reclining into the aged leather upholstered backrest and watching the deepening twist of Whiskey’s features with a shine of amusement.
Leave? Is he being stood down? He wasn’t aware of any misdemeanours or wrongdoings during the latest missions — everything had gone smoothly, despite the minimal hiccups along the way… but that wasn’t anything unusual, hiccups were a part of the job. He hadn’t been reprimanded for any decision or direction…
Do they find him lacking? Sure, his back protests every now and then, but he was still in his prime. He had years left, with aims to get somewhere higher up when he could no longer do field work. Do they think he doesn’t have it in him anymore?
An odd feeling of desperation builds in the pit of his stomach. This is his life. What would he do without it?
“Sir, I assure you I’m more than capable of handlin’ any assignment –”
“I know that,” Champ cuts in, soft and reassuring, “but you’ve accumulated quite the collection of vacation hours.”
Whiskey blinks in bewilderment, “... and?”
“You’re a workaholic,” Tequila whispers teasingly, lips tugging up into an amused side grin. “Means you need to get a hobby, man.”
“I have hobbies,” he snips in return, defensive.
Silence overcomes the office space and it feels slightly stifling. He swallows, readjusting himself in the seat to sit straighter as his eyes dart between the disbelieving expressions of both Tequila and Champ, and what makes it worse is nothing comes to mind as quickly as Jack needs to prove them wrong.
There’s not a damn thing to back up his argument. Does he work too much? Maybe. That’s not a bad thing – he’s damn good at his job. Sure, he spends more time out in the field than at his home, but again, that’s not a bad thing… he’s just busy. What does it matter, anyways?
Their brows raise, sensing their little victory, and Jack wets his lips, ready to deflect.
“Why’re you so interested in what I do in my free time anyway? I’m fine, I like to keep busy.”
“There’s keepin’ busy, and then there’s overdoin’ it,” Champ says in disapproval. “We’re not havin’ one of our best agents work himself into the damn ground. You’re takin’ a vacation and that’s it.”
In search of some back up on the matter, Whiskey exhales softly through his nose and lets his eyes roll to his partner, who remains uncharacteristically quiet. Tequila pointedly avoids his gaze and takes an interest in picking at his cuticles as he slumps down in his chair.
“You in on this?” Jack accuses, a twinge of irritation grating his tone.
Tequila blinks innocently, his eyes finally meeting his friends. “What? ‘course not.”
Giving a quiet grunt, Whiskey turns back to Champ and sighs.
“And if I refuse?”
They can’t fire him, they wouldn’t. Would he be stood down? No field work for so many weeks? Couldn’t he just gift his vacation hours to someone else? Hell, Tequila loves any excuse to get away —  he’d give them all to him if it meant still working like normal.
Champ smiles, anticipating his reluctance.
“Ginger’ll activate the sedative Tequila here put in your drink and we’ll see you right to your accommodations.”
Jack's eyes snap back to his partner, his nostrils flaring.
Tequila smiles guiltily, “Merry Christmas?”
Glen Ridge is a small town with a modest population, but was surprisingly open and welcoming to tourists, used frequently by travellers for its snowy peaks just bordering the town centre.
With the centre buried deep in the valley, the mountains provide a pretty picture no matter what street you walk along, and the thick forests sprawling opposite give a sense of comfortable seclusion, like you were closed away from the world in a wonderful little winter paradise.
Even Jack can’t deny the roll of calm that overtakes his body as he enters the town limits, taking in the smiley faces along the sidewalk and the charming old school feel of the shops and cafes lined along the road.
It’s picturesque, practically straight out of a movie.
His cabin has the same feel much like the town did — old, comfortable, cosy. The timber structure of it was nestled amongst some towering trees, with a wonderfully creaky porch swing sat stationary on the porch. Inside reflected the out, with stained timber shiplap walls stretching towards the tall cathedral ceilings running throughout.
It was nice. As far as accommodations go, it wasn’t bad for a forced vacation.
He wanders, finding the bathroom, and then the master bedroom, the large what looked to be handmade king bed looking wonderfully welcoming with a hand stitched throw, thick duvet and fluffy pillows. No, not bad at all.
There’s a single bottle of Statesman Whiskey sat centre on the kitchen countertop, with a large emerald coloured envelope perched against it. He eyes it in vague curiosity, and plucks it from the stone top before fingering the envelope flap out of the way and pulling a card free.
An overly joyful cartoon reindeer greets him and he grunts at it, rolling his eyes and flicking the card open, wincing at the sudden screech of Christmas music playing loudly from it.
Merry Christmas, Ebenezer. Don’t be pissed at me. Enjoy your break, old man.
The icy resentment that had grown in the pit of his stomach cracks slightly, giving way to an affectionate warmth and understanding. Sure, he’d been pissed at the kid for not giving him a heads up and slipping him a sedative, but Tequila had meant no harm or cruelty. He wasn’t built like that, not with those who meant something to him.
Regret tugs at his insides the more his eyes trace the words. He didn’t say goodbye before he left, admittedly quite sour over being practically forced out of work. He wasn’t going to be humiliated by being sedated and carried to his vacation spot, and the irritation over the situation had only grown as he cleaned up his desk and passed along the work he still needed to complete to other agents.
It felt wrong.
He hadn’t even been allowed to take any of his usual work tech from the office. No laptop, no tablet… hell, Ginger even put locks on his phone. He wouldn’t be able to reach the Statesmen headquarters, or any other agents privately, and vice versa. He was truly on his own, with no temptation of work clouding his mind and keeping him from enjoying some down time.
He doesn’t even know where to start.
Jack sighs as he wanders back into the main area, his hands finding his hips as he looks around his lodgings, taking in the cosy feel of the lounge and the vacant fireplace, soot and flame remnants licking up the brick.
“Well,” he drawls dryly to himself, “now what?”
—
“Just in town for a few weeks,” he smiles at the stranger, jaw clenching with the effort of keeping the growing irritation out of his features.
It’s the same answers over and over. The townsfolk were incredibly kind and open, often stopping along their way to ask how he is, what he’s in town for and how long is he staying, but with each question having the same direction as the ones asked by previous passersby, the small talk gets old fast.
He lingers in the cereal aisle of the small grocery store, smile turning somewhat stiff as the conversation moves on, answering any other questions directed towards him with a patient expression. Are you single? What do you do for work? Have you travelled much? Where are you from?
Despite the impatience steadily building in his system, he ensures to keep his attitude easy and charming, quickly winning over the trio of elderly ladies crowding him into the breakfast foods until they seemed satisfied with the information he had provided.
His cheeks ache from the force of keeping up appearances and he ensures to make it quick upon leaving the store with his groceries, ducking his head and hiding behind the yellow tint of his sunglasses to avoid meeting any other strangers’ eyes who seemed keen for a chat.
It almost works.
“Hey mister, would you like to buy a cookie?”
Jack’s steps falter at the younger voice, and his head turns to find a boy standing behind a little foldout table just outside the sliding store doors. His eyes drop to study the individually bagged gingerbread men, each obviously decorated by the hands of a child with uneven icing and odd designs.
“He don’t look much like a festive gingerbread man,” Jack says, pointing to a particular cookie and the bright blue icing covering it in some sort of blocked blob.
“That’s because he’s wearing diamond armour,” the kid replies frankly, the silent duh obvious in his tone.
What the fuck is diamond armour?
“Is that right? You do these yourself?”
“My mum bakes them – she’s got a bakery. I decorated them, though. I made the icing, too. My sister says she likes it. She’s kinda why I’m selling them – I want to buy her the doll she’s wanted all year.”
“That’s real good of you, kid. She’s lucky to have a brother like you.”
“So…?”
“So what?”
“You gonna buy a cookie or what?”
Jack snorts in amusement, shaking his head. “Maybe another day.”
“You’re gonna say no to a kid trying to do something nice for his baby sister? It’s Christmas, mister.”
“And?”
“Well,” the boy shifts, a small frown pinching his brows, “what if I don’t have enough for her doll? I’m trying to do it all by myself and I made her a promise, but if I break my promise she’ll be crying on Christmas and I would’ve let her down and I can’t let her down because I’m her big brother and she should be able to believe in me and if I can’t do this, then she won’t talk to me and I love my sister and I want her to talk to me and… and —”
Tears build in his eyes.
His lower lip startles to wobble.
Ah, hell.
First day in town and he’s already making a kid cry. Tequila would never let him live this down if he knew. A quick look around tells him no one had caught him terrorising a child — yet — so he juggles the bag of groceries into one arm and dives a hand into his back pocket for his wallet.
“Alright, kid, alright… I’ll take the fancy diamond fella.”
It’s funny how quick the tears dry up once the money is handed over and stashed in the little tin covered in cartoon stickers. He’d fallen for the oldest trick in the book – hook, line, and sinker.
The kid grins in triumph, popping a small blue bubble of gum between his lips and Jack frowns playfully at him, unable to stop the pull of a smile tugging at his lips.
“Well played, kid. Does that kind of stuff work a lot on your mama?”
The boy shrugs loosely, popping another bubble of blue gum. “Nope, stopped working on her years ago. Works all the time on strangers in lame cowboy hats, though.”
The brief wave of surprise gives way to a heavy flood of amusement and a laugh rumbles from deep in Jack’s chest, his grin widening, “You’re alright, kid. What’s your name?”
“Gabe,” the boy grins in return, cheeks creasing with dimples.
“Gabe,” Jack hums, “I got my eye on you. You’re lucky I don’t string you up like a Christmas ham for insultin’ my favourite Stetson. Am I free to leave now, or are you gonna trick me into buyin’ more?”
“Depends… how much money you got?”
Jack laughs again, shaking his head and continuing on his way, tucking the blue man into his grocery bag and grinning at the loud goodbye Gabe shouts after him.
You eye the handsome stranger from your place in the kitchen, unbothered as flour flicks up from the bowl in your hands and dusts the front of your apron. He’s alone as far as you can see, and when you squint extra hard, you find no ring on his finger when his hand rises to fix the Stetson perched on his head.
A cowboy?
And a very pretty one at that.
“You’re making a mess,” comes an amused murmur next to you, and your eyes immediately fall away from the cowboy and drop to the noticeable catastrophe in your hands.
“Oh, fuck!”
Most of the mixture had flicked out of the bowl due to the distraction currently standing at your shop counter studying the treats on display. José chuckles, a wet cloth already in his hands and he gently ushers you to the side to take care of the small disaster.
“Go on, go talk to him,” he grins, wiping your mess away and chuckling lowly at your wide eyed panic.
It’s the possibility of embarrassing yourself that keeps your feet firmly planted in the safety of the kitchen. You were… shaky at best, your experiences with men lacking after focusing on nothing but the kids and the bakery for the last few years. You preferred it that way, you think. No distractions.
You didn’t have room for someone in your life then, especially after everything. You didn’t have the patience to foster a new connection at that point in your life, you didn’t have time to dedicate to another… but you can't deny the ache of loneliness that surrounds your heart now. The focus and dedication of building a new life came at a cost, and the empty feel of a bed every night reminded you of that harsh fact.
“No, no I can’t. Besides Stacy’s already doing a great job of—”
“Stacy, I need your help back here!” José calls before you can stop him.
Startled, your head whips back to the front of the store.
“No, no, no—”
It’s too late.
You hear Stacy politely excuse herself from assisting the handsome cowboy and then she’s entering the kitchen with a smile, more than happy to be dragged away to a fresh batch of pies by an all too smug José. You give him a soft glare and sigh, wiping your hands down the front of your apron and stepping out into the front, not wanting to keep your customer waiting for too long.
“Hi,” you greet politely, heart picking up a bit in your chest as his eyes fly to you, “sorry about that. How can I help you?”
His smile is rich and warm when he looks at you, and it’s impossible to not let the small bud of attraction building in the pit of your stomach grow stronger. He straightens, the leather jacket hanging from his shoulders parting around the thick burgundy scarf wound around his throat as his hands bury in the front pocket of his dark denim jeans.
“Hey darlin’, I’m after s—”
It’s typical. Of course something would have to go wrong, someone would have to interrupt. It’s so typical you should’ve expected it, but you still jump in surprise. The door slams open and Gabe rushes in with a loud “Hi Mum!”, bringing a sharp breeze of icy air into the shop, before running back behind the counter and brushing past you to dump his school bag in the corner.
“Hi baby. I’m so sorry,” you murmur, turning back to the man, heat washing along under your skin as the stranger’s eyes dart between you and Gabe, “this is my son.”
A grin slowly forms on the strangers lips, and your stomach tightens at the sight of it.
“Yeah,” he drawls deeply, “we’ve met.”
Apparently only just now bothering to notice that you had a customer and were in the middle of serving him, Gabe perks at his voice. His body straightens and he openly grins at the stranger, obviously pleased to see him and your brows furrow lightly in confusion.
“Hi, lame cowboy!”
Your confusion evaporates.
You’re mortified.
“Gabriel!”
Your son had always been… lax with his verbal filter, but never at the level of insulting strangers. What is he playing at? The heat in your cheeks grows until they throb, and you fight the urge to run back to the protection of the kitchen.
Leave it to your son to insult the first truly attractive, seemingly unattached, man to walk into town in what feels like years.
“I’m so s—”
“No, no – he’s fine,” the stranger quickly cuts in, his smile still friendly and your internal alarm calms slightly. “It was a comment from our conversation yesterday.”
“He bought the diamond armour gingerbread man,” Gabe explains. “Did you like it?”
The stranger looks down at him, a more serious expression overtaking his features. “I’ve gotta be honest with you, kid… hand on my heart, it was the best damn gingerbread man I’ve ever had.”
Your insides twist at the compliment, thrilled that he enjoyed something you had baked, and a self satisfied smile threatens to spread across your lips. His eyes fly to meet yours and your smile turns somewhat shy under his approving gaze, the teasings of his own smile causing the corners of his lips to twitch.
“I’m glad you liked it,” you say softly, heart running wild.
His lips part, but Gabe beats him to the punch.
“Did you want another one? I have some leftover from yesterday – hold on, wait right there!”
Gabe turns and disappears into the kitchen without another word. Silence falls over you and the handsome stranger, but it doesn’t seem to feel uncomfortable… in fact, it’s quite the opposite. You give another small smile when your eyes meet, relishing in the warmth running along under your skin.
“Haven’t seen you around before,” you note with a tone of interest, leaning against the counter. “Are you just passing through…?”
“Jack,” he supplies with an easy smile, “Jack Daniels.”
“Like the whiskey?”
His smile widens, and he turns to lean a hip against the front of the counter casually. You become hyper aware of the fact that there’s just the width of the counter between you and it does nothing to calm the flutter of butterflies building in the pit of your stomach.
“Exactly like the whiskey. I’ve got a cabin for the holidays… boss decided I work too much.”
You laugh softly, head tilting as you appraise him, studying each line and crease of his face with appreciation. “Well, do you?”
Jack gives a small unbothered shrug, a deep chuckle oozing with guilt falling from his throat. “Probably, but I got nothin’ else to do so it keeps me busy. Plus those bills won’t stop comin’ in.”
“I know the feeling,” you reply.
Your index finger dances along the cool countertop as you deliberate your next question, clinging to the small wave of confidence you've been riding since stepping out of the back.
“Does your other half not think anything of your work habits?”
You hope the way the question is phrased doesn’t come across as completely fucking obvious, but you know you’ve failed when a wider grin starts to pull at his lips, something more playful seeping into his eyes. His gaze flickers over your face, briefly dropping to your lips before rolling back up to meet yours and the small action comes to settle low in your stomach.
“No other half to complain about it, I’m afraid,” Jack replies wistfully, and it’s exactly what you want to hear.
“Oh,” you breathe softly, tongue coming out to wet your lips, “that’s too bad.”
Gabe reappears in the next moment, halting whatever direction that particular conversation was heading, and you smile softly at him, stepping aside to let him lay the remaining gingerbread men on the counter. He quietly orders them into a neat line before looking expectantly at Jack, his fingers tangling together in waiting.
The man in question studies each man carefully, lips pursing in thought as he bends to get a closer look.
“I’ll tell you what, kid,” he murmurs, crossing his arms on the counter and levelling his gaze with Gabe’s, “I’ll take ‘em all and give you a nice tip for your great service, and you go buy your sister that doll — deal?”
Gabe hurriedly nods, his lips stretching into a wide grin as he eagerly shakes the hand Jack holds out to him. You warm further at the kind gesture, unable to stop the ache of your smile as Gabe eagerly packs the cookies into a bag and accepts the offered cash with a heartfelt thank you, his giddiness obvious as he beams up at Jack.
“You both take care now,” Jack smiles, his Stetson dipping as he gives a nod of farewell.
Cowboy.
“Don’t be a stranger, Jack,” you call to him, welcoming Gabe into your side as he presses himself close to you.
Jack half turns as he leaves, giving you a radiant final smile that you're sure will haunt your thoughts for the rest of the day.

OKAY NO WAIT
I was reading fanfiction a few minutes ago, right? And it was about halloween costumes. Well, Cameron in halloween costumes.
AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT JUST RANDOMLY CAME TO MY MIND?!?!
okok y’all aren’t ready for this scenario-
Imagine it being Halloween and yn and Cam are going to go to a Halloween party of one of their friends. He knew what costume you’d choose, because you loved it so much, you couldn’t shut up about it. He, however, kept his costume choice a secret. You were lowkey scared he’d come up with something either incredibly scary, weird or stupid but it was
so.
much.
worse.
Or better, in your case.
After a few years of you and him being in a relationship, you randomly told him, that you had an immense crush on his character Jerome Valeska when you were 17. You were a few years younger than him. He was 30 now and you were 25. So when he was 22, you were 17, which was when they released the second season of Gotham. (This shit took all my math knowledge omfg)
You two laughed about it together. Cameron was a bit surprised that you randomly shared your teenage crushes with him, but he found it cute and funny.
So anyways.
It was the evening of the party and you already waited for him in the kitchen, already wearing your (fav costume) costume.
Cam‘s costume must’ve been very time-, skill- and effort-consuming, because he had called someone he once worked with, to help him with it. By the time you were really curious about his costume. Why did he make it such a secret?
You didn’t want to be late, so you knocked on the bathroom door and called:“ Cam, darling, are you ready soon? We’re gonna be late.“
„Yeah, yeah, just a sec, hun!“, he answered from the other side of the door, giggling like a little child.
What the hell was up with him? His costume must be really great.
You went back down the stairs and waited for him at the bottom of the staircase.
After a few minutes, you heard the bathroom door creak open upstairs and him giggling. As he came downstairs you turned around and-
You couldn’t believe your eyes.
Were you dreaming?
Wth was happening.
In front of you stood your boyfriend.
As Jerome mf Valeska.
You stopped breathing for a bit and felt like passing out any second. All those butterflies you felt for the character in your teens-
They were back.
„You like it?“, Cam smirked.
You just stared at him.
Then you just broke out into loud laughter.
„Wtf Cam HAHAHAH WHAT IS THIS“
You had to grab onto your thighs for support while wheezing and laughing.
„I thought, for this Halloween, I’d go as your teenage crush.“, he joined in on your laughter.
„I can’t take this Cam omfg. It’s so weird. I can’t take you seriously with this, you know that right?“
„Nah, I think you’re just even more in love with me right now.“, he grinned proudly.
„Yeah true.“
„Sooo“, he asked, a mischievous smirk on his face.
„ You still in love with lil ol‘ me?“, he asked in his deep Jerome voice.
Your face dropped.
„There is no way you can still do that.“, you said, blushing like mad.
He began laughing again.
„ Guess your crush on him is still there.“, he grinned.
„Yeah I guess the fictional crushes of teenage girls will never leave them.“, you said, a hand now over your mouth, still in shock.
„ Then let’s make little Yn‘s teenage dream come true and let her spend an evening with her bad boyfriend, Jerome Valeska.“, he grinned, placing an arm around your hip as he started guiding you towards the front door to leave.
„You know I’ll not be able to process this the whole evening, right?“, you asked, still a bit in shock.
„Yep.“, he grinned happily.
„Maybe my hot gf will be all over me even more the whole evening.“, he said, leaning down towards your ear, then whispering.
„ You look very hot btw hun. Gotta make sure to not let my feelings take over and take you home again just so I can have you all to myself, huh?“, he smirked.
You blushed. Yn exe literally stopped working.
You had literally the best boyfriend, Cameron Monaghan, who was also Jerome Valeska today..
Wtf.
„I love you so much Cameron, you know that?“
He smiled at you.
„ If you want you could even call me Jerome or J today.“, he smirked.
„But yeah, I know that. I love you too. And I love you more.“, he smiled proudly.
„But just don’t fall for Jerome more than for me, alright?“, he asked jokingly.
„No can do.“, you laughed at him as he poked your sides and started to tickle you as a response to your sassy answer.
—————
At the party, you two leaned on the bar waiting for your drinks. Well basically he leaned with his back against the bar and you leaned with your back against his hard chest, him having his arms around you. He put his head onto your shoulder and let out a sigh, making you shoot him a questioning look.
Then he raised his voice in the Jerome tone.
„It just feels good to be back.“
You giggled.
„Just don’t start killing people for real okay?“
„Why not? I wouldn’t harm you of course, doll. You’re the Bonnie to my Clyde.“, he murmured in your ear in that raspy voice.
You laughed.
„Hell yeah I am.“
You took his hand in yours and placed a soft kiss on its back.
„And nothing’s gonna change that.“, you added, now turning your head to the side and giving him a kiss on the cheek. He smiled, turned his head in your direction as well and kissed you on your lips, soft and gentle, the sfx make up on his lips feeling funny but also kinda real, which was astonishing.
As you pulled back, you examined every inch of his scarred face. Then you absentmindedly traced the scar where his face was „sewn on again“.
This was literally the most romntic thing Cam could’ve ever done for you and you didn’t even think about it earlier. That he could dress as Jerome.
There was a moment of silence as you two looked at each other.
„ I love you.“, you said. It was the most genuine and honest tone of yours.
„ Just please don’t get stabbed in the neck again or fall off a building. I can’t handle that shit again 8 years later. Hurt bad enough at 17.“, you smirked, rolling your eyes.
He chuckled.
„ I promise.“, he said in a playful way, but then his expression turned serious.
„I could never leave you YN, really. I love you.“
——————-
You two had an amazing evening.
BROOO IMAGINE-
Guys it’s 4:22 am and I’m sick so I really don’t give a fuck about any mistakes in this. That’s also why there aren’t any cute symbols or pictures for the aesthetic, I’m literally writing this on my phone rn. So I’ll fix that and correct them later, okay?
Thanks
Love ya <3
Bye

I had zero plans to continue this but @shdwsilk came in with the extremely good takes sooo…
If you don’t know Inception this is probably incomprehensible. Soz.
“Shouldn’t you be talking to the mark?”
Steve visibly startles as Eddie slides onto the barstool next to him. Steve’s in a suit, because the mark is the most boring person alive and thinks a fancy cocktail party in a hotel is the stuff dreams are made of; Henderson was extremely specific about the number of dashing rogues Eddie was allowed to drop in for passionate speeches and/or dueling purposes.*
“Eddie?” says Steve.
“Mm, no, Johanna Berger.” Eddie tosses his head, letting ice-blonde hair cascade over his bare shoulders, and smirks up at Steve. “I am quite charmed to meet you, darling.”
Johanna is a young widow who may or may not have had something to do with her late husband’s untimely death, so she’s wearing a plunging black dress designed to show off some real bombshell curves. He’s pretty proud of her rack, honestly; it’s harder than you’d think to make sure everything looks realistic.
“Are you doing an accent?”
Eddie scowls. Johanna went to an international school, so her accent’s subtle to the untrained American ear, but he spent two solid hours last weekend reviewing Austrian vowels with his dialect coach.
“Are you not doing an accent?”
“Uh, no? Because I don’t need to? The mark’s from Connecticut.”
“Perhaps the both of you could use a little more exposure to…foreign affairs.” Johanna leans in coyly, trailing one red nail up Steve’s arm.
Steve lets out a snort that sounds completely unrehearsed. “Does that ever actually work for you, dude?”
Johanna tilts her head, gazing up at Steve. She’s not the type to get intimidated, but she is the type to be curious. She’ll take risks if it means getting a chance to pry someone open.
“You don’t spend much time with other forgers, do you?” she says.
Steve shrugs. “I don’t really do the whole, uh, dreamsharing community. I mean, I guess I’ve kinda been doing this a while, but like—not seriously, you know? It’s not really my thing. Wasn’t planning on any more jobs at all, but Henderson showed up, and you know what that kid’s like.”
Steve looks so openly fond just saying Henderson’s name that Johanna has the sudden urge to shield Steve’s face from the crowd somehow. The poor fool, she thinks in despair. He has yet to learn that a tenderness like that is to be protected.
Or—maybe Johanna would be contemptuous. Maybe she’d think: what a fool. Anyone could see how to break Steve Harrington’s heart.
“Yeah,” says Eddie. “I know what Henderson’s like. Biggest pain in my ass imaginable.”
The soft look on Steve’s face shifts into a real smile as he glances over. “Tell me about it,” he says. “Hey, you sound like you again.”
“What, no I don’t,” says Eddie.
“No, it’s good. It’s better than whats-her-name.”
Eddie looks down at himself, thoroughly-researched curves straining at the satiny bodice and a manicured hand still resting on Steve’s arm. “Maybe you just need to get to know Johanna,” he says. “She’s a hell of a dame.”
“Sure.” Steve winks. “Tell her to give me a ring sometime.”
“Oh my god, why are you hanging out with projections,” says Mike freaking Wheeler, popping up like a bad penny in a cater waiter outfit. “Steve, go talk to the mark! We’re running out of time!”
“Okay, okay, sheesh,” says Steve, pushing away from the bar.
“Jesus, Wheeler, we’re two levels down. We got plenty of time,” says Eddie, pointedly not watching Steve weaving through his crowd.
“Wait, is—are you—Eddie?” The kid is openly gawking at Johanna.
“Eyes up here, champ,” says Eddie. “This is Johanna Berger, and she’s here to make sure everything goes according to plan. Also, she’s here to look appropriately and publicly devastated at the tragic death of her husband, because the yacht club wives are getting gossipy.”
“Whoa,” says Wheeler. “That…wasn’t in the briefing.”
“Keep up, yeah? You’re in the dreamshare business, the briefing never covers everything.” Eddie puts a tray of champagne flutes in Wheeler’s hands and snags one for Johanna as Wheeler fumbles to keep from dropping the rest.
Johanna sips the champagne. It doesn’t taste like anything at all.
“Darling,” she says. “If you learn to let dreams surprise you, I think you will have a better life, yes?”
Across the room, Steve looks up from charming the mark. He smiles at Johanna, just a quick and completely unprofessional flash of teeth before turning his attention back to a Connecticut banker who probably wouldn’t have a hope in hell of catching Steve’s attention in the waking world.
Or maybe that’s Steve’s type. Maybe he’s got some smart, boring wife in a conservative pantsuit tucked away somewhere. Maybe she comes home every day like clockwork to a hot meal and freshly-bathed children and has absolutely no idea that her trophy husband inhabits dreamscapes in his spare time.
No, he is better than that, thinks Johanna. In my soul I know that he deserves better. I would take him away from such a woman in an instant.
Which is just—
Okay, so Steve Harrington might be a slightly bigger problem than Eddie’d thought.
*“Zero, Eddie! Zero rogues, zero secret Cinderellas, whatever that means, zero drama. Just assume the answer is always going to be zero with this guy!”
“Then what’s the goddamn point, Henderson?”
“Uh, maybe the nice fat paycheck coming our way?”
At this point, Eddie can either admit that he isn’t actually in it for the money (gross, not an option) or subside into a sulky silence. So: zero dashing rogues. It’s fine. He’s not bitter at all.

Multiverse Monday with pervy stepdad Hotch confronting his step daughter of like asking her about any boys she likes and she's embarrassed and red
today is multiverse monday! send me any au you can think of :)
this post is 18+ and dark, minors dni.
"Sooo," Penelope's voice holds excitement you know spells doom for you, "Anything happening in Boy Town, Miss Y/N?"
"Boy town," You snort, "No, I, uh- I don't really meet a lot of people? I'm sort of just socially stagnant right now."
You hope it's a good enough cover up. The truth is, you haven't tried to meet anyone lately. In fact, you've probably gone out less in the months since your mom met Aaron than you ever have in your life. You're not sure if it's doing anything, and you're a little embarrassed to admit it to even yourself, but you're scared of losing whatever shot you might have with him, so you don't dare get involved with anyone else.
"Come on," Emily scoffs, "No one? No cute college boys in your classes? Not even a celebrity you've got a little crush on?"
"Even I have little celebrity crushes," JJ admits, and you chuckle at the way Will's eyes widen momentarily. You know what they'll be discussing later.
"I dunno," You shrug, picking at your nails, "It's just not a concern of mine right now, I guess. I'll find someone, eventually."
"You've found someone," Aaron murmurs, and all eyes turn to him, including your own slightly panicked ones.
"Oh? You know something, boss man?" Derek raises an eyebrow, and your heart begins to pound.
"I've heard you talking to your friends before," Aaron presses on, and you feel like you can't breathe suddenly, "You're at least interested in someone, whether he likes you back or not."
You know what he's heard. You're slightly lax about discussing your pathetically inappropriate crush in the confines of your room, voice slightly louder than you probably should be speaking with. But you always say his name in a hushed whisper, or use a code name. You aren't sure if you're praying for him to never have heard his own name, or to have heard it and want you back.
"Oooh!" Penelope squeals, "Tell me about this man!"
"There's nothing to tell!" You insist, and if you weren't sporting such a massive crush on him, you'd glare at Aaron, "And- and stop eavesdropping!"
"It's not eavesdropping if I can hear it from my room," Aaron laughs, "You need better whispering skills if you're trying to keep this a secret."
There's a few light chuckles from around the living room, but thankfully everyone seems to drop it. You're almost certain you'll be added to a group chat later with the ladies of the BAU to discuss your mystery man, but you're going to avoid any detail lest they figure out you're talking about their boss.
Even though conversation evolves, slowly moving away from your fiery cheeks and trembling breaths and towards Rossi's car troubles. Apparently he's insistent on fixing his own car, no matter how inexperienced he is in the craft. It's a pride thing, you're sure.
You're only half listening to the man drawl on about the different parts he's trying out, the tinkering he's been doing in his house's mansion's garage. You don't realize anything is out of the ordinary until you glance over at the clock on the wall and see Aaron staring at you below it. Your stomach flips as you meet his eyes, dark and firm. They're locked onto you, and he offers you a slight smile the more you hold his gaze. The longer you stare, the wider it gets, until the butterflies in your stomach are fit to burst and flutter around the room in a frenzy. You finally offer one back, turning away and suddenly much more interested in hearing Dave's spiel.
It's barely two minutes later when you chance another glance at the clock, and this time you don't need to look at Aaron to know he's staring, you can feel his gaze burning at the side of your head.

(Un-) Lucky coincidence - 2
Jenna Ortega x Fem reader
Summary: Y/N, a nursing student, comes to the aid of Jenna Ortega, a famous actress, after she falls and gets injured outside a shopping center. Despite the initial awkwardness, Y/N's nursing skills impress Jenna.
Words: 782
Everything in cursive letters is German so … pretend I guess.
Tumblr media
I tried to keep my cool. Of course I know who she is, I basically grew up with her, I watched her since Richie Rich, Stuck in the middle and literally everything else. “Oh you are Jenna Ortega, that’s so cool,  I always wanted to be an actress, but I’m way to shy” I said and hoped to not scare her away. “Really? You don’t seem like a shy person at all, I mean you just came to help me, even though I am a total stranger to you” Jenna looked at me questioning. “You know, I really have to help, its my duty and I am required to” I explained. “Required as in required by Law… or how exactly do you mean” now I really confused her. “Yes I am required by law, as a person with medical knowledge, it’s illegal to not help. I could get into serious trouble”  I explained when Lauren finally came back with everything we needed.  “Hey here’s everything you need, but I’m leaving now, Tom is waiting for me, I called him to pick me up. So bye” and then she really just left, without asking if I need help or, well I don’t know what the hell that was even Jenna seemed to notice as she asked me “Uhm why did your little friend just took of like that?” Ironic because Jenna is way smaller than Lauren but she has a good point. “Well I’ll be honest I don’t really understand, but ever since she has Tom, her Boyfriend, she ghosts me and we currently are drifting apart, but that’s really not important right now, let’s get you fixed up” I really started to get emotional, so I changed the subject and I really need to get a look at that wound. I really could’ve used her help, I wanted to use the non – touch technique but that’s not to easy if you are alone in an definitely dirty environment. I have no other choice, I just need to get her cleaned up. “Let’s get this over with, don’t flinch but this is cold, it shouldn’t burn though let me know.”
“Okay…no it’s just really cold but no burning.” Jenna did in fact flinch, but that’s okay “Yeah it looks good, it won’t need stitches, how are you feeling anyway? Are you dizzy, do you have a headache or are you feeling tiered?” I asked her because she does have a bump and I just want to make sure she doesn’t has a concussion. “No, really I’m perfectly fine, thank god it doesn’t need stitches.” Thank god I thought to myself. I did check way to late for a concussion. “ okay now just the band aid… aaand done. Perfect, but do you wanna get checked out in the hospital?” I asked her. “No not really but thank you so much for helping me. It’s impressing how calm you are, I could never. Hey can I buy you an coffee as a thank you?” she suggested. “Well I’d love that, but I’m not quite sure if you should go in there, it looks like there are all the people inside, your acting, better said your projects reach sooo yeah” I said a little bit sad, because I thought she’d ghost me now, but hell no I was so wrong.
“Oh yeah you’re right there are a lot of people even out here staring at us. Well I’d invite you to my hotel room but I kind of don’t have one, so I’ll have to sleep on a bench tonight. They cancelled my room last minute. Everything else is full, I literally don’t have a place to stay” Jenna explained to me, woah I didn’t think anyone would be stupid enough to cancel a room for a celebrity, but boy was I wrong. “Hey Jenna, if and really only if you want to you can come to my place for a coffee and we could look together for a place for you to stay. But really only if you feel safe” I offered to her. “Yeah that would be literally so nice of you, plus I’d love to see how people here actually live.” she simply said.
A/N still, English is not my first language. Still hope you like it :)

hey! i was sort of reading “something to rely on” lyrics, and i remembered that you analyse some of miles, monkeys and tlsp songs. so, i just wanted to ask what are your thoughts on this song, cause i particularly think it’s about alex or some of it. anyway, other songs from cdg can be fully about alex, but barely no one talks about this one, so i thought it’d be great to discuss about it.
there’s also “adios tara tara” that i also think it’s about alex, as other songs from change the show, but that’s for another time! i also love your blog, your fanfics and song analysis, they’re always really good! 🫶
sooo first of all sorry for being this late lmao this is kinda embarrassing because this ask was sent MONTHS ago maybe almost a year ago it was so long ago i literally don't remember. i'm only just answering now BUT better late than never i guess skgshdfh
(as usual don't take this too seriously lmao this is just a silly theory, i'm in no way implying it's the truth. it's just delusion o'clock)
now, if you follow me you know what i think of coup de grace as an album - and that is, the fact that it's soooo about alex it's crazy like. bro was so angry and in love and heartbroken????? and he wrote a literal masterpiece of an album????? that's iconic if you ask me
so to no one's surprise, let's follow the usual theory - them having some sort of falling out after eycte because of miles getting serious and alex consequently chickening out, which led to Peak Gay Drama Year, also known as 2018, when they both release albums that - more or less explicitly - contain images that could easily be interpreted as references to each other. something to rely on is no exception:
"crescent moon, left in my drive / all too soon, you made your point"
the reference to the moon creates a pattern, since the semantic field of astral entities is also present in songs such as killing the joke, with "interstellar, dressed in leather, drinking bitter boy" - which as we all know is one of miles' most direct lines when it comes to referencing alex, and it can easily be linked to am's own space-themed album, which miles definitely got to listen before its official release date.
opening the song with a reference to the moon could be a way of @ a certain someone, letting him know that yes, this song *is* in fact about him, if he didn't get the other billion hints in the whole album. (however, for the sake of keeping it vague, i won't be referring to him directly but rather to a ~mysterious person~) (i'm sure you get my point tho *wink wink*) [gunshots]
mentioning the moon could also be a way of referencing the ever-present theme of nighttime encounters in the entirety of mk/am/tlsp's discography: sometimes those encounters are described as fun, sometimes they mean trouble; sometimes, they leave the people involved with a sense of guilt and/or shame, on which we'll come back later and which often leads to bad decisions ("all too soon, you made your point"). in this particular case, the first image that comes to my mind is someone leaving sneakily after a (series of) one-night stands, with the song obviously being from the pov of the person being left, who also gives us a reason why they think the other person left:
"keeping off the radar, how does that make you feel? / keeping it clean, through all the things you wanted me to be / out of touch, with all the rumors i keep hearing of you / keeping off the radar, how does that make you feel?"
this person doesn't seem to want other people to know about their affair, and that's why they keep it secret; it seems that they want miles to be something he's not, or something he can't be - or maybe they ask all these things of themselves, which would maybe make it easier for them to accept the relationship going public. this person wants to keep it neat and clean, picture-perfect and fitting to everything everyone expects from them; but as much as they try to stay lowkey and not attract attention, the narrator informs us that no matter how much this person tries to hide, there's still rumors going around about them, as an individual as well as their relationship(s) with other people, most likely with the narrator too.
"all aboard the guilt train / last call before we leave / last call before we learn to love / the last call before we leave"
the line referring to guilt is insanely queer-coded and i will die on this hill because it just SCREAMS internalised homophobia, with which the other person might be struggling. it wouldn't make sense otherwise - because what would that person feel guilty about, if it were a straight-passing relationship? unless it was a cheating situation, of course... but it could be a cheating situation AND also a queer one, with this person being in another (het) relationship while having a same-sex lover (the narrator), which would give that line a double explanation. also every time i listen to this song i just can't help but think about 'all aboard the kane train' WHAT WHO SAID THAT
however, the narrator tells us that this is the "last call before we leave" - meaning, he's giving this person an ultimatum to make up their mind and decide if they want to be with him for real or not, since the latter possibility would result in him leaving - not necessarily for good, but... just trying to get over that person once and for all. at the same time, though, it's also the "last call before we learn to love" - which is incredibly soft imo, because it's him still putting trust and hope into that person and a positive decision on their part. he believes they will eventually choose to be with him, he hopes for it and trusts the other person to make the right decision, which would lead to them being together and learning how to love each other without limits nor second-guesses. the repetition of the leaving line could also be seen as a way for him to give it a new meaning compared to the first one: if they ended up together, they could leave that world based on nasty rumors and appearances, ignoring them all to just be happy together. because, after all, miles declares it openly:
"you're all that i wanted / all that i need / you're all that i wanted / you're all that i need"
i mean. does this even need an explanation. bro is down BAD
"something to rely on / something to get high on / i don't want to beg or steal, i don't want to borrow hearts / i just want to make it real / something to rely on / the making of a mystery, wishing on a falling star / i don't want to let this sadness rule my heart / your actions from the start / in spite of me insightfully inviting me to fall apart"
i left the chorus last because imo it captures perfectly the whole vibe of the song and what i think is miles' outlook on life in general: the narrator wants something stable and secure, an established relationship with the other person; he doesn't want to have to beg and argue and make it more complicated than it probably already is, he doesn't want to be a pastime or just some lover. he wants something thrilling and intense, almost addictive - but most importantly, he wants something real. this complicated situation with the other person is making them both suffer, and the other person's behaviour doesn't make it any easier; but in spite of everything, and in spite of his sense of self-preservation, he still finds himself unable and unwilling to resist them, to let them go for good. and no matter how self-destructive this might be, he doesn't want to be ruled by negative emotions; he's already fallen for them, too deep to even consider letting them go. he just keeps falling, and yeah, the outcome of their situationship might still be a mystery, but he chooses to be hopeful - "wishing on a falling star", bringing the song to a circular end by mentioning other astral entities that inevitably remind us of the "crescent moon" that opens the song. which also evokes the idea of circularity that is typical of situationships like the one described here, where the moment he seems to have made up his mind (or maybe the other person finally did?) it's like rinse and repeat, and once again they're back to square one.

hii taking you up on your advice offer 😭 ur poly so maybe u have more experience with this than me, how would i break up with my longterm partner?
we’ve been dating for 2 years, it really has seemed perfect but lately idk its just felt wrong. we’ve kinda planned our lives around eachother and moving in together once we graduate, but i cant make myself want to kiss them or be romantic anymore, i dont want to respond to their texts, i get annoyed at them for no reason. they havent done anything wrong theyre wonderful its a “its not you its me” situation to a T.
all of our friends are mutual friends, but most of them were technically my friends first (all the people they used to hang out with sucked) so im scared if we break up they wont have anyone to talk to about it. i really dont want to hurt them.
i honestly might realize this is just me being dumb and all of this will pass and ill want to be with them still once it does, but since i have no clue how id break it off i feel so trapped. i want to know i have a way out if things dont get better, i want to stay with them because i truly changed my mind not because i didnt have a choice.
Not in a poly sense but just a “have had a few relationships” sense I guess I can offer advice.
So I’ve never actually broken up with anyone before, except for the last guy I was messing around with (Catboy) just because as much as I had sooo much feelings for him it was like the most unhealthy “relationship” for me. Like I finally realized like “oh I’m actually NOT better off seeing him, my mental health is ACTUALLY worse” because of his shenanigans.
However, I did have a long term partner who I dated for 6 years who we had plans to move in together and get married etc. same kind of deal, all their friends were my friends. And they dumped me, and yeah, it was really fucking hard even though I knew everyone was going to take my side. And the one person who didn’t I ended up not speaking to anymore because I was like if you’re not going to realize that I’m the only one whose going to keep talking to you because my ex doesn’t give a shit about keeping in contact with people, then that’s on you.
I was devestated. This was like 3 years ago at this point and pretty much right up until about this year I felt like I was somehow “living in the wrong timeline” and like my entire life’s trajectory had been pulled out from underneath me. Not from the breakup so much as them just deciding they never wanted to speak to me again, that I was bad for their mental health, etc. which I always told them if I’m ever bad for your mental health then break up with me, and I meant it and stand by that and their decision, but it still fucking hurt.
Like if that’s what they had to do that’s what they had to do. If that’s what you have to do then that’s what you have to do. While I am of course resentful to my ex, and I hope they get hit by a car or something sometimes, I do stand by their decision that if I wasn’t good for them then I’m happy they left me behind. I don’t know if other people are going to have that same view upon being dumped. I mean like I said I still hate them. But to say that they should have stayed with me for my sake is hypocritical.
Not only that, but an issue of intimacy was occurring between us during the lead-up to the breakup. And as soon as I wasn’t with them anymore and I was able to be with Catboy instead I got a taste of what I had been missing and GOD it felt so good. For the first time ever I felt like someone actually wanted to be intimate with me. It was an amazing feeling. My ex dumping me opened up the door for me to have things I was missing in that relationship. So it wasn’t all bad, for sure.
You have to do what you have to do for yourself. You come first. If you need to break up with your partner, or take space, or whatever, you just have to go for it if you really think it’s what’s best for you.

Warning(s): Cursing(But it's Bakugo, sooo), Fluff
Bakugo refuses to let you do anything by yourself in this state
✨✨✨✨
“What the hell are you doing?” you heard a familiar voice growl.
You turned like a deer in headlights, “Uh, um…I’m…praising the cabinets?”
Your friend and crush--but he didn’t need to know that--raised a blonde brow, “Praising the cabinets.”
“Yes! I’m very religious with them, they store our wonderful plates—”
“Stop with that bull crap, why are you up? You’re on bed rest.”
“It was boring. I'd just sit around all day and do nothing.”
He scoffed, gently nudging you out of the way, “Do you not understand what bed rest means, dumbass? You’re not supposed to be getting up, you’re supposed to be resting.”
“I know, Bakugo…I’m just…used to doing everything for myself, not being so helpless,” you sighed.
His shoulders dropped in a silent sigh, “Yeah, I get it. But you’d be an idiot to make it worse and never get better. School without you is boring, so you gotta get back as soon as possible.”
He groaned as soon as he saw the shit-eating grin on your face, distracting himself with continuing the meal you were making.
“You miss me, huh?”
“I don’t fucking miss you! You’re just one of the few people who can keep up with me!”
“That sounds like ‘missing’ to me.”
“Shut up!” he barked.
“Why are you here alone? Isn’t school over?”
He shrugged, “It is, everyone but me got punished. They have to stay an extra hour to train.”
“I’m guessing you passed the test because you’re way better than everyone else?” you rolled your eyes.
“Exactly. Yeah.”
With a huff, you shake your head.
“Cocky-ass.”
“Go lay down, why are you still here, nerd?”
“I’m watching you. It’s not often you get to see Bakugo Katsuki cook,” you grinned.
He turned to you with the darkest glare you’ve ever seen on him, “I swear if I have to tell you one more fucking time to lay down.”
“Fine! Fine!” with a pout, you make it to your room.
Thirty minutes later he comes in with a plate, setting it on the nightstand next to your bed.
“How in the world did you hold a steaming plate with your bare hand?” you blink in awe.
He actually chuckled at that, “I have explosions come out of my hands on a regular basis, I think I can handle a little plate, [N/N].”
“You and your nicknames,” you reach out to take the chopsticks.
“What are you doing? You’re not gonna be able to eat without your dominant hand. You can barely use the other one.”
You shrug, “Yeah, I’ve been trying to learn and use the other side so I can do more.”
You yelp as you drop the chopsticks you were awkwardly holding.
“How’s that goin’ for you?”
“Shut up! I have to figure something out, I’m hungry.”
“I…you,” he muttered under his breath, his cheeks flushing a little.
“What was that? You’re loud any other time,” your inquire with furrowed brows.
“I can feed you…”
“…”
“Oi! Don’t laugh!”
You stifle the laugh, “Well, I can’t laugh too hard anyway.”
“I just don’t want to sit and watch you complain about stuff.”
“Thanks, but it’s okay, I got it.”
Then you proceed to hiss as you trigger your shoulder.
“Do you, now?” a smirk twitched onto his face.
“Fine.”
You found yourself getting flustered as he fed you, surprised by how calm and gentle he was.
“Don’t swallow too fast, idiot! It’s not a race!”
In between eating, if you needed anything, he’d grab it for you.
“You know Bakugo, you’d be a good boyfriend,” you told him honestly.
“H-Huh?”
“You’re very caring--more than what it seems, anyway.”
His eyes flickered down to the plate to grab more food, “I’m not caring…you just…look so pathetic trying to do so much when you’re supposed to rest…I don’t want you to hold the class back by prolonging your injury.”
Considering how many pauses were in that sentence, you didn’t really believe his reasoning.
“It’s okay, thank you for caring about me.”
He growled leaning toward you, “I just told you—”
You kiss his cheek out of gratitude, “--Just take the thank you, Bakugo.”
Startled he pulls away, face darkening in color, “I—You—Dumbass! Don’t do things like that so suddenly!”
You hear a knock at your door, “Hey, [Name]! We’re all back now! Let me know if you need anything, okay?”
You smile, “Thanks, Eiji! But Bakugo’s been helping me, so I don’t need anything right now!—You can come in, I don’t bite, you know!”
Once Kirishima enters, he looks in between you and Bakugo, seemingly putting pieces together.
Then he gives Bakugo a look that you don’t understand.
“Shut up, Shitty Hair!”
He chuckles, not able to hide his smirk, “Hm? But I didn’t say anything, Baku-bro.”
“You know exactly what I’m talking about!”
“No, what are you talking about?”
“Stop playing innocent!”
You smile, warmed by their banter.
“That looks good, can I take a bit, [Name]?”
“No! That’s just for [Name], you don’t get any, Kirishima!”
You pout, “Aw, why can’t he get any, Bakugo? He only wants a bite.”
“T-that’s because…Shut up!”
“We didn’t say anything…”

tagged by @vespertin-y to share three random facts abt myself sooo
1.) i have a big phobia of lakes or just dirty water in general, and submechanophobia, i can't stand looking at like cars submerged in water. i don't seem to have the same fear of the ocean, for example i would never swim in a lake and i'd probs have a panic attack if i fell in one, but i went to the beach for the first time in my life a couple years ago and i got in the ocean just fine. i didn't go very far out bc i was afraid i'd get pulled in, im very small you see and i can't really swim, but i enjoyed it and my friend got seaweed for me to touch ajdjf. despite not being afraid of seawater i do Not like boats and wouldn't get on one on the sea or in a lake. i'd probs feel Better about being on a boat in the sea but the feeling of being in a boat in general feels Wrong to me, like my primal monkey brain is like "humans shouldn't be able to float above water like this".
2.) i have very repetitive stress dreams every night of my life, i don't think i've ever had a Good dream before and im not joking. usually the mundane stuff like being back in high school and not knowing where my classes are or my locker combination etc (which is wild bc that's never something i actually needed to worry about in high school, like i never once forgot things like that). also losing my phone or having it stolen seems to be a theme lately as well. HOWEVER when a dream isn't mundane, i manage to have REALLY weird dreams. the first nightmare i ever remember having was when i was like three years old and i dreamed a tree was chasing me. like a legit tree. i never saw it walk, it would just move when i wasn't looking and would be closer when i looked back. i ran home and still have the vivid memory of slamming my front door and looking behind me to the window where the tree was "looking" inside at me. it didn't have eyes or anything im just assuming it must have been looking at me lmao. anyway i was Terrified of this tree but hindsight that's literally so funny. a tree. also had a dream where my trash bag climbed into bed with me. and one where it was "emu hunting season" in my neighborhood and everyone was hunting emus. i probs don't have to clarify that there aren't emus anywhere near my midwestern city.
2.5.) interesting combination of the first two facts, which is why this is a bonus fact™️. i realized a recurring aspect of my dreams is something highly specific to me and not normal. i didn't realize this from conversations with people or anything i just suddenly was like "oh that's actually very weird and specific to my particular phobias". the aspect in question being that in multiple dreams over several years there's been partially submerged roller coasters in my dreams. like the roller coaster is like 1/4 submerged in a dirty lake and i either just see it and am like "eugh" or i'm actually forced to ride it and have to deal with the horror of both the anticipation of the dirty water part plus the actual contact with the dirty water. i'm not afraid of roller coasters or anything i guess my brain just found a way to tap into my submechanophobia. very weird brain thing that sounds very stupid and it is ajdjr
3.) on a lighter note, i have five genshin impact accounts, although i don't use two of them anymore. i have my main account, an anemo only account, and a new gimmick account that is a secret. my other accounts were just a replay account to experience exploration again, and one that i was gonna call carrot run where i only used xingqiu. i might still end up playing on that one again eventually given that i have xingxiu and sac sword on that account already in very early game with was lucky 4 me.
this was longer than i thought it would be i just decided i like talking about myself apparently LMAO
i don't rly have anyone to tag bc i'm afraid of bothering ppl so AJDHDHFH will leave off the post here
