K here are some terrible takes I have collected. Short thoughts for each one.
"Rhea intentionally caused famine by not sharing knowledge with Faerghus"
We have no idea what kind of knowledge she shared. And pick a side! Rhea has to stay out of human affairs because she's not human, OR she has to involve herself with human affairs because otherwise she's bad?
"The Church is homophobic"
Nowhere is it even implied that same-sex relationships are frowned upon in Fodlan. Hell, the archbishop, goddess, and many devout characters are queer, and nobody raises a fuss about their love lives in their endings.
Their holy book also says that the goddess does not deny love.
The whole crest stuff is not the church's fault. They tell you not to abuse crests, and had no hand in the creation of them. Humans did. And speaking of humans, Edelgard says that the people are the ones who elevate crest bearers, not the church.
The Church also has no control over the nobles, who would be the homophobic ones in this scenario??
"Cyril is Rhea's slave"
Cyril was an actual slave at House Goneril until Rhea saved him, something he is expresses his gratitude for by doing chores. He wants to feel useful in some capacity. This is a child who wants to feel useful and takes on extra chores because of that. He's a stubborn little lad, and we love him for it.
"Rhea keeps Cyril uneducated on purpose"
Cyril says in his and Lysithea's support that he keeps his illiteracy a secret because he doesn't anybody to feel like he's not up to a task because of it. AKA: He wants to help out!
"Seteth is doing propaganda"
I'm guessing this refers to the Shadow Library. Seteth removes books there that are either inappropiate or have information that's extremely dangerous if it got out. Some books talk about bans, but since those books are in the shadow library, that likely means they're outdated.
Or this refers to him calling Edelgard mean things?? She declared war against them; of course he's not happy.
"Byleth regains their humanity in CF"
Byleth was never human. Their mother is VERY much implied to have been a Nabatean, and their heart belongs to their (likely Nabatean) mother and the goddess.
Byleth also embraces their Nabatean heritage. Remember that Silver Snow is called Byleth's Route.
Byleth's Legendary Alt in FEH is their Enlightened One version.
Byleth's Brave Alt in Feh is Sothis's regalia, and they sing the Song of the Nabateans.
Byleth's Halloween Alt is a Duo with Sothis.
Byleth's Summer Alt is a Duo with Rhea.
Byleth's Khadein Alt talks about the Goddess's hand in events.
Byleth's Fallen Alt's Forging Bonds has Sothis taking over their body to protect them.
This argument also implies that it's bad for someone to be Nabatean, which is like... yikes.
"Seteth kills the western church members cuz theyre heretics"
"Indeed. The Western Church is attempting to seize sacred ground by force."
- They explain it to you in the exact same paralogue!
"The Nabateans benefit the most from the current state of events" / "The Nabateans are the ruling/top class in Fodlan"
How does the nearly extinct group benefit most from a system where their people's bones are used as WMDs?
They are walking on glass, y'all. If the truth (or even a lie) got out, they would get hunted down.
"Lonato is a good man"
He incited an armed rebellion against a church and would've mowed down villages to get there. He also goes around the knights to attack the students. No, he is not a good man.
"Nabateans ruled over humans in the past and their rule was bad" / "Nemesis did the right thing by taking out the Nabateans"
The word the devs use for the Nabatean rule is apparently something like "cure."
It is also NEVER stated that their rule was bad? Just that the Agarthans hated it (because they hate everyone).
Even the Agarthans talk shit about Nemesis. Nobody liked him.
And you can't... justify genocide? What?
"Sothis and her kids are colonizers and the Agarthans are the natives who got wiped out"
Fun fact! Despite all my theories, it is never made clear whether or not humans already lived on Fodlan when Sothis got there! The beginning cutscene flashes (Sothis's memories) show us a gorilla first, which implies that either life was not advanced, or humans did not exist by then.
Let's say humans did exist then. Sothis landed there and just started her own family. She never took any land by force? She shared knowledge with the humans which allowed them to build modern cities. That's not colonization. Please look up cases of actual colonization; I beg of you.
Sothis is more accurately an immigrant who shares her own culture with others.
"Sothis is not a god but a space alien"
It's never confirmed if Sothis is a space alien so that's actually just theory/headcanon.
Even if, all of her feats (and the dev's words) say that she's a god.
There are many more takes like these, but these are the ones I remember from the top of my head.

My Analysis of the Best Paired Endings in 3H (Part 17: Annette/Gilbert)
Tumblr media
Gilbert: I remembered how happy you would be, as a child, when I handed one of these dolls to you. Annette: I was back then, but I'm not a child anymore. It's too late for this now, Father. It doesn't make me happy anymore. Gilbert: Annette… Annette: I… I was so lonely after you left. I was always, always alone. I didn't know where you were, or who to turn to for comfort. All I could do was look at the dolls you carved for me, and remember you…and weep! Gilbert: If you don't need it, you can throw it away. It is all the same in the end.
Annette was also a victim of Faerghus's patriarchal culture. The tagline for the game was, "Sweet memories twisted by time's cruel hand". Her fondest memories were related to her father. But Gilbert was so devoted to the king that when he failed his duty as a knight, he felt too ashamed to live a happy life and abandoned his wife and daughter. He didn't even think he had the right to smile.
Tumblr media
Ashe: Your father gave it to you. I know you said you'd throw it away, but you can't just toss out something so important. Annette: Ashe… Thank you! I'm so happy!
Annette shared her paralogue with her father and many of her Supports ended up being about him in some way or another.
Annette: Then the least you can do is apologize. I'm fine, but Mother deserves as much. I've finished my studies at the school of sorcery and entered the Officers Academy. I have a busy and satisfying life now. But Mother… She's waited for you to return all this time, living under my uncle's roof.
The Crest of Dominic is associated with the Empress arcana. It represents the divine feminine principle, which includes qualities such as abundance, nurturance, motherhood, and love for home and family. And Annette's story arc revolved around her broken family.
Tumblr media
Dimitri: Annette… Something's been weighing on me. Something I've done terribly wrong. Your father… He worked tirelessly. I don't know if I ever saw him take a rest. I feel as though, in a way, we stole him from you.
I probably can't talk about pairings without addressing Netteflix, the #1 most popular ship for Annette. The two of them actually had a lot in common. Both of their fathers were so devoted to the dead king that they failed their living children. There was a lot of potential for them to connect on a deeper level because of that. But the whole Support chain revolved around singing. Which actually ended up working out pretty well.
Tumblr media
Felix: I want you to sing for me. Your song never leaves me, whether I'm asleep or on the battlefield… I might be a captive of your song. Annette: Captive… Wh-what are you saying?! That's… um, embarrassing! Felix: …I-it can't be helped. I don't even know what I'm saying! Annette: W-wait a minute… Why are you blushing, Felix? Felix: …Mind your own business. Annette: …………….. Felix: …………….. Annette: …I don't really get it, but if you're saying that much, then you can listen to my song again.
I found their A+ Support absolutely hilarious. It seemed like Felix, who was raised in a strict military family, had so few opportunities to experience people expressing themselves, that he became utterly fascinated by singing. It was something foreign and exotic to him. He only showed interest in Dorothea when he learned she could fight, but even MORE when he learned she could sing.
Tumblr media
Felix: Alright, then. Sing something for me. Any song you remember. Annette: Leave it to me! Then, I'll sing you my favorite song! Um, um. Burning with fiery life, carrying the blood of flames... Let's get into the bath with our bodies still hot...♪ If we start to feel dizzy, let's take a break...♪ Once we've revived, let's try getting in again...♪ ……………… Felix: ……………… To get in a bath when your body is hot… That's some determination. I should learn from that. Annette: ……………… Felix: However… to rest after getting dizzy and then enter again… You really like baths that much? Annette: ………
In their Hopes Support, the lyrics for Annette's song were slightly more suggestive than they were in the localization, since it alludes to people getting in the bath together. Annette was blushing when she finished singing. I think she assumed Felix asking her to sing was a way of him showing romantic interest and she was attempting to flirt with him by choosing lyrics that were a bit risqué. But Felix just did NOT pick up on it at all. It went straight over his head.
Felix & Annette After the war, Felix inherited the title of Duke Fraldarius from his late father, Rodrigue. Some time later, he married Annette, and the pair earned renown together by working hard at restoring their territory to and beyond its former glory. The people adored the pair: Felix for his fierce determination, and Annette for her boundless cheer. Years later, Annette threw herself into songwriting, and with the support and encouragement of her husband, she produced melodies that remained popular for generations. The lyrics became distorted over time, however, and the original meaning of the music was lost.
They're an inoffensive ship with a pleasant paired ending in AM, although I don't exactly ship them. I thought it was great that she was able to help him find a passion for something unrelated to military or warfare. I always thought that his "passion" for swordsmanship was drilled into him from birth rather than genuine. Still, I think the joke was that he fell in love with singing, not Annette herself. I thought they had deeper relationships with other characters.
Tumblr media
Annette: Mercie, we'll stay friends like this forever… Won't we? Mercedes: Is something wrong? You sound worried. Annette: Since our time in the capital, so much has happened. We've had to make new lives for ourselves, and we've seen at least as many hard times as good. If things keep changing like this, I wonder if we'll be able to stay the same people we are now…
Other than her father, Mercedes was the most important person to Annette. In their A-Support they both confessed their love for each other. And while it did seem like the bisexual Mercedes may have loved her beyond friendship (especially in the Japanese), Annette seemed insistent on emphasizing her platonic love.
Annette & Mercedes After the war, Annette and Mercedes lived separate lives: the former as a teacher at the school of sorcery in Fhirdiad, the latter as a cleric at Garreg Mach. Though they lived apart, they exchanged letters so frequently and shared their lives with one another in such detail that it was as though they were side by side. After many decades, they resigned their respective positions and reunited at Garreg Mach. In their final years, they relocated to a modest house in the Fortress City. It is said that they were happy together to the very end.
They will not be life partners even if you go for their paired ending. It's slightly a bittersweet ending, showing how, as friends get older and pursue their own dreams, things don't always stay the same between them. While they do eventually reunite during retirement, I don't consider it to be the most satisfying ending for either of them.
Tumblr media
Annette: You know, you might already know, but my uncle is really strict. He always said, "Do everything perfectly on your own, whether it's cooking, studying, cleaning, or laundry." …Otherwise, being a knight's daughter would just mean being bought by a noble for their Crest.
By the end of the game, I did not ship Annette with anyone, nor do I think any of her romantic paired endings offered a truly satisfying conclusion to her storyline. Even at the Goddess Tower, she just wished to stay friends forever with Byleth. Romance and marriage had little to do with her character arc and she expressed more interest in her friends and family compared to her love life.
Tumblr media
Annette: My father was so happy to see me using magic… Seeing him happy made me happy too, and that made me want to work even harder. If only things could have stayed like that… Byleth: What do you mean? Annette: When I was about 13, my father left home. He was a devout man, so I figured he'd gone to the monastery. That's why I went to the school of sorcery, so that I could eventually get accepted at the Officers Academy. I studied harder than ever, and sure enough, I finally earned a referral.
Annette joined the Officer's Academy to reunite with her father.
Annette: After the battle at Gronder, some people claim they saw my father. They said he walked off the battlefield clutching… His Highness's dead body… So long as Father's alive, I don't need anything else. I just… I hope to see him again one day…
And her motivation for joining VW is simply to find him. Repairing her relationship with him was absolutely vital to her happiness.
Tumblr media
Dimitri: Say, Annette… When this war is over, where will you go? I heard that you were close to Baron Dominic back in the academy days. Annette: That's right… But five years ago, my uncle betrayed the Kingdom and went over to the Empire's side. I reconnected with Father. So I'd like to live with my family again, in the capital. Also, if I'm in the capital, I'll be able to see you from time to time… Right?
In many of Annette's paired endings, she moves away to live with her husband (Claude, Linhardt, Felix, and Ashe). But she wanted to stay in Fhirdiad to live with her family, and so she could stay in touch with her friends such as Dimitri. I was rooting for her to reconcile with her father more than getting a husband. Gustave was clearly the "life partner" she wanted most.
Tumblr media
Gilbert: Still, I wonder what path my life should follow once we achieve our goals. Byleth: Aren't you going back to your family? Gilbert: That has been my intent. But surely my daughter, Annette, must have her own path to follow. Perhaps she would be happier if our paths diverged. Of course, if she desires it, I will gladly return.
And that's obviously what he wanted, too. Gilbert prioritized his duty to his dead king over his relationship with his living wife and daughter. Similar to Dimitri, his character arc was about forgiving himself and realizing that he should live for himself and not the dead.
Dimitri & Gilbert Dimitri assumed the throne of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus and spent his life ruling justly over Fódlan. At his side was the knight, Gustave, who had discarded the name of Gilbert and reaffirmed his oath of fealty to the royal family. After many more years of service, in which the trust between them grew and never wavered, Gustave finally wished to retire. Though he bristled slightly at Dimitri's request to look after and tutor the young prince, it is said that Gustave took on that duty with due patience and solemnity for the remainder of his life.
Gilbert only has a few paired endings. His ending with Dimitri depicts him becoming a father figure to Dimitri's son, which is the same as his solo ending. And it sounds like he was still bound by duty and guilt, unable to have his own life or even retire.
Tumblr media
Annette: I'm not going to cower in safety while they struggle, especially when I'm in the best position to help. Gustave: If you sense any danger at all, child, promise me that you'll run. I couldn't bear to lose you.
For better or worse, Annette was the most important person to Gustave in both Houses and Hopes. His guilt and shame led him to make bad choices. But in Hopes, when it came down to life or death, he was a father first and a knight second. He will let his daughter flee, so that he could die in her place.
Tumblr media
Gilbert: Your Highness, may I ask what your next plan of attack is? Should we dispatch our troops to the Kingdom capital or to the Imperial capital? Dimitri: We will take the Imperial capital. There, I will kill her. We end the war and chase away the lingering regrets of the dead. Nothing could be more to the point. Annette: Uh, that may be true, but don't forget that your people need our help right now…
Annette's relationship with her father was interesting due to how inextricably linked it was to Faeghus's toxic culture of chivalry and the overarching themes of AM's story.
Edelgard: But one cannot measure a leader's worth based solely on whether or not they bear a Crest. There are plenty of talented people in this world without one. People believe Crests are blessings from the goddess, that they're necessary to maintain order in Fódlan. But the people are wrong. Crests are to blame for this brutal, irrational world we live in. Their power is granted only to a select few, whom we elevate and allow to rule the world.
One such theme was "blind obedience". Because Dimitri bore a certain Crest and had the "divine right to rule", his attendants were not willing to step in and call out his poor leadership. Without Byleth acting as an authority figure to override Dimitri, everyone in the Kingdom army will be sent to their deaths.
Gilbert: Annette, throw down your arms! Would you really fight your father? Annette: I can't do it, Father. I can't betray Mother and my uncle! If I have to defeat you, then so be it!
There is unused dialogue that was apparently meant to be an alternate scenario based on whether Annette was defeated in Part 1 and was unrecruited in Part 2. Annette sides with the Empire because she has given up on her father and wants to stay loyal to her mother and uncle. And Gilbert is so loyal to the king that he's even willing to kill his own daughter. It was clearly the "bad" ending.
Tumblr media
Annette: We thought maybe you hated us, were trying to forget all about us… Gilbert: Never. I swear it on his late majesty, and on my homeland. Annette: I see. All right…then swear. Swear that some day, when this war is over, you'll come back to us. Gilbert: I hear you, Annette. I will return without fail. Annette: No matter what. That's a promise you just made. If you break it, I'll never speak to you again. Gilbert: Yes. I promise.
And it was meant to juxtapose the "good" ending.
Gilbert & Annette Having discarded his false name, Gilbert, now the royal knight Gustave, renewed his loyalty to King Dimitri. Returning to the capital city of Fhirdiad, Gustave reunited with his wife, who had been staying with Baron Dominic, and his beloved daughter Annette, who began working as a teacher at the capital's school of sorcery. Initially, conversations within the family were somewhat awkward, but over time, smiles and warmth returned. In the Kingdom free from the shadows of war, the three of them enjoyed peaceful and happy days, reclaiming the life they once had.
A fulfilling occupation was vital to Annette's happiness. Her strict uncle wanted her to be perfect at everything, so she wouldn't be sold off for her Crest. She worked so hard because she wanted to support herself. Her dream was to become a teacher. When she was younger, she wanted to be a teacher at the school of sorcery, and she achieves that in the ending with her father.
This is the only ending where Gustave completes his character arc and learns to live for himself. Deep down he was not a bad person, and it was rewarding to see him get his priorities straight. He could still serve the royal family, but his focus should be on his own family. He is a father first and a knight second.

Azure Gleam Ch 12
It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that this is, by far, my favorite route. Spoilers below.
MAIN STORY
I forgot we had Claude on our "side" here.
Oh, here comes Byleth. This is AG's chapter for Byleth, right? And ugh, this time I need to actually recruit Byleth or else someone I love will die bc someone from Faerghus will die.
Oh, there's Randolph. Ready to die again. I swear to God this man is allergic to life.
He's hiring Jeralt, so yeah, this is the recruit Byleth chapter.
Adrestian nobles are real peaches. They're burning villages and looting, or a good handful of them are. I swear they have the worst nobility. Only Faerghus Western lords rival them.
If Randolph dies, than Jeralt's contract is terminated. So that means I have to trade Randolph for Jeralt and Byleth? Deal.
Man, that mint hair is a CHOICE. Whyyyyy. The darker blue hair is much better.
I like Byleth more after Hopes. I liked Byleth before, but Hopes has helped me see the characterization easier. It also makes the whole "one man army"/Ashen Demon seem more real.
And yep here's the sword again from the other routes.
I'm just so happy they gave Felix the high ponytail look.
Time to make Adrestia sweat.
Jeralt scars the Blue Lions way more than Randolph.
Leave it to Sylvain to strategize. Haha, Rodrigue says Sylvain reminds him of his dad, Sylvain isn't sure if that's a compliment.
I love how much you can tell all these people have known each other for so long.
OMG, there's so many side battles.
ANNETTE & FELIX B
Weird to only give them on support and it's only B given how popular their ship is.
Another support about Annette's songs lol. They really increased that in this game, but it's adorable so I'm good.
Dorothea and the church are performing operas for Faerghus.
Annette's "opera" song is about taking a hot bath when she's already hot. Felix is impressed with her mental fortitude. Lol.
Annette's flustered because it's supposed to be serious, not about bathing lol.
They basically set up a date to go see an opera together.
YURI & SHEZ C
I saw this in another route already (but forgot), so I unlocked it here too! But not going to write about it twice.
YURI & SYLVAIN B
These two rooted out spies together. Well, mostly Yuri lol.
Yuri's impressed with Sylvain's layers.
Neither of them are going to let Dimitri know what they're up to until after it's done lol.
Yuri's earned Sylvain's trust, but still threatens Yuri if he switches sides.
Yuri calls Sylvain out for being super loyal, which, yes, he is and that's often so overlooked part of his character.
Wait . . . Sylvain hit on Yuri with a bad pickup line? Lamo.
Sylvain mistook Yuri for a girl. Yuri is going to blackmail Sylvain with his back pickup lines for life lamo.
Yuri's open to a date with Sylvain though. Sylvain is into Yuri's flirting.
That would be a nightmare couple.
MERCEDES & SHEZ A
Mercedes looks at the little things and it reminds her of what it was like before the war - like tea parties with Shez and kids determined to get stronger.
Mercedes hates the war and wishes she could go back to those days. Getting really sentimental.
Mercedes used to just accept whatever happened and didn't realize how much she valued the past until peace got destroyed.
I had Shez be nice and tell Mercie that it's ok to get sentimental.
Mercie was happy with that.
Shez says she's always there to listen to Mercedes if she needs it.
So Mercie's like, let's tea party now! She bought new ingredients.
DEDUE & FELIX B
Their only support
Ohhh, Dimitri's in it too. They're talking strategy. Dimitri wants a head-on approach, Felix wants a sneaky one, Dedue withholds his opinion.
Dimitri tells Felix to stop pestering Dedue lamo.
Dimitri wants to head the mission, but Felix is like no, let me. Strategy resolved and Felix confronts Dedue.
Dedue values Felix's input and recognizes his unique role with Dimitri.
Dedue just stays amused the whole time and doesn't let Felix get to him.
Felix will not spit it out that he's so worried about Dimitri.
Dimitri returns and is about to tell Dimitri what went on but Felix cuts him off, which I'm sure just amuses Dedue.
I love how it's pretty much cannon that the vast majority of the cast never take Felix seriously when he's spouting his tsundere.
INGRID & MARIANNE C
MY HORSE GIRLS GET A SUPPORT CHAIN!!!!
OMG I'm so happy with this.
Ingrid's worried because her horse didn't eat all the feed. Marianne recommends hay and explains why.
Ingrid is happy and compliments Marianne, who of course downplays it and tries to get out of Ingrid asking more questions (likely about horses).
Of course, later Marianne tells Ingrid her horse (or pegasus?) is probably scared after acting up after being on the battlefield the first time. Marianne goes full horse whisperer and fixes the problem.
Then leaks that she's talking to the horse lamo. Ingrid catches it. Ingrid thinks it's awesome though.
Ingrid tries to give Marianne confidence; it doesn't work.
As a fellow horse-girl, I love this.
DIMITRI & BERNADETTA A
Dimitri catches Bernadetta out again, and ofc she gets scared, but Dimitri just wants food bc he's working too hard and missed dinner.
Haha, Dimitri hates being shut in all the time.
Bernedetta thinks Dimitri's work is spying on her, but Dimitri assures her that's not it bc he has too much work to spy lamo.
Bernadetta is amazed at what Dimitri puts on his plate because it'll taste awful, but like he can tell :(
So they cook together. And she tries to cook something he likes, which is kind of sweet actually.
She got too flustered and messed up the dish. I know where this is going lol . . . Dimitri and his iron stomach.
Yep, she's shocked that Dimitri just . . . eats it.
Oh, God, she's going try it, but of course she hates it.
Bernedetta thinks he'll have her executed now, and Dimitri's like "do you seriously think I do that?"
So I guess this is his Hopes "Dimitri can't taste anything" support.
I love how he seems immune to Bernedetta's antics though. He just calmly explains that her fears aren't true and moves on.
SYLVAIN & IGNATZ B
Ignatz figured out a general time period that Sylvain's painting came from.
Oh, geeze, it's a color made from crushed gemstones? That must've been $$$$. Geeze.
Sylain was reading up on saints to get more info on the picture and might've figured out who it was. An archbishop (was it one of Rhea's fake personas?)
Ah, they think she looks like Rhea. So I'm right. Hahaha.
They're confused about that. Never in a million years . . . .
So this does confirm that Rhea just keeps faking her death.
I'm pleasantly surprised by this support. I love Sylvain, but Ignatz is . . . not interesting, but I like how it expanded on Sylvain's studious side, and he's an art fan! Now I like him even more.
ASHE & FLAYN C
Ashe is fishing to feed the army. Ashe, sweetie, one fish is . . . not going to make a difference.
Naturally, though, Flayn is very interested. Because fish.
Does Ashe place well in the fishing tournament in 3H? Would be interesting to see if the lore stayed the same about Ashe's skills.
Poor Flayn isn't allowed to fish bc Seteth gets too nervous with her around water, but Ashe lets her fish like she used to.
Honestly, Flayn looks too young for most of the guys, but she fits Ashe's look (and personality) really well.
Flayn almost catches a large fish but fails to catch it. B support will be about her catching it, I'm betting.
DEDUE & CATHERINE B
Catherine comments that Faerghus now trusts Dedue and Dimitri more. Dedue gives all credit to Dimitri, lamo.
Apparently people gave Dimitri crap for choosing Dedue over everyone else.
Catherine isn't religious either. But I thought Rhea was a tyrant who only allowed religious people near her??? /s
Neither Dimitri nor Rhea get too wrapped up in their own titles.
Both spend their free time helping people out.
Catherine is like, maybe Dimitri is rested by helping people out like that. Something Rhea, Dimitri, and Byleth have in common.
Catherine and Dedue think they could be friends, as long as Rhea and Dimitri stay on the same side.
DIMITRI & RODRIGUE A
Not ready for this, guys.
Dimitri wants to know how Rodrigue felt when Lambert died. :(
Rodrigue didn't believe it at first, but accepted reality eventually and remembered the promise he made.
Dimitri then asks what if he'd died in Duscur too?
Dimitri also thinks Rodrigue intended to die with Lambert, but Rodrigue confirms that he never wanted to die, but wouldn't mind dying to protect Dimitri/keep him in line.
(hahahah, no)
Dimitri says losing Rodrigue would be like losing another father :( confirmation that Rodrigue is like a father.
Rodrigue calls Dimitri out for not valuing his own life enough :( (or that he doesn't even value it at all :( ) saying that he's only following his king's example then.
And Dimitri's response is like, yeah, guess you're right, I have no excuse - probably . . . not what Rodrigue was looking for :(
He's like, yeah, that was probably too harsh, but thinks Dimitri sounded a lot like Lambert :(
Rodrigue always wanted to tell Lambert that.
Dimitri's emotional about sounding like his father :(
Sounds like Faerghus people are always telling each other not to throw their lives away.
Haha, Dimitri's like, I'm jealous of your bond with your friends, and Rodrigue implies that Felix wouldn't like hearing Dimitri imply he's not close with his, lamo. Rodrigue is such a dad to Felix, like that teasing king, which is just perfect for Felix being so prickly lamo.
MAP & SIDE BATTLES
Sylvain would rather turn enemies into allies than attack them. He's talking about Jeralt's mercenaries, but it's just more proof that he disliked resolving conflict with violence.
The common folk find Dimitri more approachable now. He's working on being more relaxed lol.
Dedue and Ashe talked about how Dimitri broke a pen during a war council. Shez suggests they name the pens so Dimitri's more attached to them and is less likely to break them. I cannot with these people. (also, can you imagine how put out Dimitri would be breaking a pen he named?) They also talk about how some people are scared of Dimitri because of his freakish strength :(
Seteth is impressed with Dimitri, who asks him about tactics a lot (which, side note, I'm so happy to see this game heap more praise on Dimitri, I get that AM's plot structure didn't really allow it as much, but it's nice to hear. Also, that it's Seteth is so cool, because he's by far one of the most wise characters).
Back to Seteth though, he explains he knows so much because he's studied this military genius Saint Cichol and really recommends his book. No bias at all there, guys.
And the saga of Balthus being obsessed with fighting Dimitri continues, lamo. (nobody blames you, Balthus, because, same, how can you not be a little obsessed with Dimitri's body after seeing it).
Mercedes and Constance were friends! That's cool. Also, not two braincells between them. (and I say that with affection)
I love how the game is going out of it's way now to show that Dimitri is asking for advice from experts, then making a decision based on what he's learned. His FEH support was about that, and I always liked that, so I like seeing him do it here.
Also, it seems I can't use Rodrigue again :( Actually, here's here for the side battles, so maybe I can?
MAIN BATTLE
OK, guys, time to get Byleth. Please let this be easy.
Someone very kindly wrote up a guide for me in a message. I never posted it so I could reference it, so let's hope I get it right the first time.
We're in the weird dimension with Arval, who's on high alert bc Byleth. But this time we recruit Byleth.
"Defeat Randolph" - Don't mind if I do!
Ok, so step 1 is selecting "Locate Ambushers." But I don't see that?
Kidding. I picked it.
I can't use Dimitri??? Oh, shit. He's BY FAR, my strongest unit. This is a shitty battle to lose him for. And Rodrigue. So I'm down 2 of my actually trained units. This sucks.
No Felix either?? This is really bullshit at this point. I basically only have Shez, Sylvain, Ingrid, Dedue, and Mercedes and Mercedes can't do shit, Dedue is also pretty awful, and Ingrid always dies. Ugh. This is going to be impossible. So basically just Shez and Sylvain.
Honestly, if this is too hard, I'm just going to let Byleth die because, to be honest, I'm really sick of playing this game. This route IS the only one I actually care about finishing though.
Ugh, I knew I'd hate this chapter, but taking away 3 units with no warning is just total bullshit.
Dimitri following me around is kinda cute though. And I forget how good Shez is. It's just, Dimitri's so strong I'm used to one-shotting at this point, lamo.
I also love how when Dimitri's a green unit, he's still fighting and not getting protected like the other 2. He's also . . . not someone I have to worry about dying. He's, uh, level 57 and suggested level is 44 so um.
Ok, so far so good. I got Fleche to show up, which is the next step. Now I just have to kill her quick.
Defeated Fleche. Now I need to see a command to defeat a dude, and a side command I ignore (guessing either defeat Byleth or Jeralt, the side one that I ignore).
So pretty sure I messed up and I need to "kill" all the mercenaries attacking the base BEFORE Fleche.
Ok, got Alois before he invaded. Just got Fleche. Pretty sure what's left is to not engage Byleth and rush kill Randolph.
Took Randolph out because I saved up all my warrior gauges.
OMG, I finished Randolph before the side mission was even announced lol.
I DID IT!!!! I got Byleth and Jeralt 😭
And I did it without Felix OR Dimitri 😭
So Jeralt surrendered after defeating everyone bc they decided to use logic and know they couldn't win. Plus, they want new clients.
Jeralt doesn't care about the conviction with the Empire, only coin. But he wants to avoid Rhea because of their past, but Dimitri sets conditions to make sure that Jeralt and co avoid her.
Guys, I can't believe I'm seeing the recruitment and not character death (I know it's Rodrigue, I couldn't let him die, no matter what)
I just saw the Byleth is playable card 😭
Guys, I saved Rodrigue.
Most of the Blue Lions are like, this is weird, but good. And they want to bond by sparing bc that's what the Blue Lions do lamo.
Shez ran off though. She's talking to Shez and figured that's best done not with people around.
Arval is way more chill about it than I thought.
Shez still has a goal though, to win the war and bring peace with Dimitri and co.
Getting ready to attack the monastery. Still kinda wish Claude was our enemy like the other 2 routes.
Everyone is standing by Dimitri.
Oh . . . Mercedes thinking about Death Knight? Betting she'll run into him soon. Can you recruit him in AG?

FE OC WEEK DAY 1: Introduction
I’m so excited to participate in @fe-oc-week! Please note that English isn’t my first language.
Allow me to introduce my FE3H OC, Maeve!
❧Name: Maeve Fresnay
❧Age : 21 years old in 1185
❧Affiliation: Holy Kingdom of Faerghus
❧In short: A magician serving lady Gladys of house Eilyn, a vassal of house Fraldarius. Maeve joins Dimitri’s army after the time skip as a part of the reinforcements brought by Rodrigue. Sweet, elegant and sensitive, she isn’t a soldier by vocation but is willing to protect her friends and bring an end to the war. A skilled singer and musician, Maeve brings a lot of color and joy to her lady’s entourage. She may not look like much, but possesses a lot of inner strength and bravery. She has been separated from her older sister and his looking for her. She also gets along very well with Dedue and later falls in love with him.
❧Click here to read her story! (It's in French, but it should still work with the help of a translation software ;) ).
❧Apparence: She's 1m70 tall, with pale skin and long wavy black hair that she ties up in a bun (with hairpins that can be used as weapons) or keeps unbound when she can. Her eyes are dark brown, her face oval and her nose slightly upturned. Her smile gives her dimples. Her clothes hide her battle scars.
She usually wears a knee-length tunic, pants and boots with her magic staff tucked in her belt. She always has a pouch embroidered with a robin that her friend Vigdis made for her. While fighting, she wears a gambeson and armor pieces to protect her limbs, allowing her freedom of movement and substantial protection. As a civilian, she always wears elegant dresses, her favorite colors being red and blue.
Maeve almost always wears make-up, especially red lipstick (this detail was inspired by a real historical female fighter: Kumander Liwayway!). She does so because she wants to keep some beauty and color in her life. This coping mechanism allows her to stay in control of her appearance and hide the damages caused by the war. In battle, she also wears dark eyeshadow to give herself a more ferocious appearance and bolster her confidence.
❧Theme song : Free, Florence and the Machine + Passacaglia della vita, Stefano Landi
❧Her pinterest.
❧Personality: Maeve has a luminous personality. Smiling is her way to stand against adversity and she's at ease in most social situations. She likes having fun and has a passion for music. She often sings or plays her lute, finding pleasure in playing for others and entertaining them. Open-minded and curious, she enjoys learning new songs and meeting new people.
Due to her sensitivity, she’s extremely receptive to other people's emotions, sometimes to the point that she absorbs them like a sponge. Her mind works very fast and she’s plagued by anxious thoughts, that can even become morbid and tries to hide them with more or less success. To deal with this, she needs to find an occupation or talk to someone as she hates being lonely. She can cry after difficult events as she releases all her pent-up emotions.
Her receptivity allows her to assess complex situations. Maeve is indeed lucid, clever and observant. She’s for instance able to analyze the information regarding the Tragedy of Duscur and suspects Lambert’s opponents of being the true culprits. She shows a lot of emotional maturity for her age and knows how the world works.
One of Maeve’s major traits is her bravery. Even though she's now used to fighting, she was scared at first and laments the use of violence. Yet, she won't give up and will stand alongside her friends. This is another proof of her generosity. Despite all the horrors, and even if she sometimes feels like it’s too much, she will never give up. In combat, she’s efficient and focused, capable of much courage.
She wants to be seen by all as a reliable ally and secretly has self-esteem issues. Being the youngest member of her friend’s group, she was at first the "little sister" and the one with the least battle experience. She doesn’t want to be seen as such and feels bad when others have to reassure and comfort her.
She likes flowers, pretty clothes, make-up and accessories. She tends to accumulate objects and is sometimes tempted by some impulse purchases. The circumstances of the war have, however, taught her to deal with these these.
Read her introductory chapter!
❧Skills:
Strengths: Reason, faith
Weaknesses: Heavy armor, bow
Maeve possesses great offensive power. She favors fire and thunder spells such as Thoron, though she also uses Sagittae. During the story, she learns to master Ragnarok.
Her faith list is more limited, with practical spells such as Ward. She’s notably able to cast Seraphim, making valuable contributions against demonic beasts or the Titanuses.
Maeve is, to her regret, a mediocre healer. She can only treat superficial wounds and only with great effort.
Her older sister taught her unarmed self-defense and the use of a stiletto. She’s able to pull out her blade very quickly and take advantage of her foe’s surprise.
Stay tuned for her relationships and backstory!

FE OC Week Introductions:
Felicity-Adjacent:
Felicity 'Fia' Eirian Fraldarius (née Gloucester) Lorenz's aunt (his father's sister) who marries Rodrigue and moves to Faerghus. She's purple, taller than Rodrigue in heels, and my favourite lady ever. Super refined and skilled at court, poison, gossip, backstabbing, and finding advantageous situations for herself and her immediate family. Once she goes to the School of Sorcery she makes a friend and chills out a bit but the scheminess never truly goes away. Can be selfish. when things look bad for others, she's a voice of reason. When they look bad for herself, she makes them worse.
Reinald Gloucester Lorenz's father. I'm sorry, I'm an Erwin Denier. My Count Gloucester looks like Gunter from Fates and is a bitter gossipy bitchass who plots to kill Godfrey and then succeeds. He's got no hope of redeeming himself. He wants Lorenz to be a miniature version of himself and then Lorenz goes and makes friends. He wants Felicity to be an extension of the Gloucester plotting in Faerghus but then she goes and makes friends. Reinald maybe if you made some friends you would calm down, but I know you won't.
Felicimom I don't have to waste time on Felicity and Reinald's parents. Felicimom is from Adrestia and is a snob. She also is disparaging and controlling.
Felicidad Count Gloucester Sr is a boring old coot who wants to have his hands in all the pies, hence marrying an Adrestian, encouraging the rivalry between his family and Riegan, and sending Felicity off to the Kingdom to marry the future king's right hand man in the hopes that she will be able to convince him to legislate according to Gloucester's wishes. Maybe even to try and get one of her kids (hopefully bearing the crest of gloucester) into the royal family via arranged marriage. Anyway this obviously does not work out once felicity makes friends.
Unnamed Pegasus Felicity gets to be a Dark Flier because I think it's cool. Her pegasus is a gift from Rodrigue on their anniversary (second or third, idk). I don't have a name for this beast yet.
Colette 'Letty' Faustine Dominic Annette's mom. Why is she Felicity-Adjacent? Well it's because they were roommates at the School of Sorcery and Colette was Felicity's first and only friend for a long while. She's a lot like Annette when it comes to study, but she's not shy about her singing. Will shout well-known tavern songs at the top of her lungs with the usual lyrics replaced with inappropriate ones.
Godfrey von Riegan Claude's uncle who dies before Houses. I'm saying that he and Percival (Rodrigue's brother) met at the Officer's Academy and struck up an unconventional relationship that they continue, long-distance. He loves art and jokes and good wine and bad wine and theatre and being at the heart of drama and gossip.

I think it's called Netteflix (or at least that's the most used name). I'm curious as to why you're not a fan, it seems to be really a popular ship in the fandom.
Ah, yes, indeed, though I did see some people use Felannie? Guess it depends which vibe you prefer, Netflix or felony.
Hmmm... I'd say it's because they feel too... tropey? In a "smol girl melts local tsundere's heart with her cuteness" kind of deal? I don't find the dynamic interesting and there are better ships for them both (Annette especially). I also find their support chain to be very boring at best and -dare I say it- cringeworthy at worst. You don't get anything notable out of either of them in terms of character or lore, etc imo. Annette sings, Felix notices her, she gets flustered, he's being nice, she gets angry, rinse and repeat. In comparison, her supports with Claude, which also involve her silly songs, are miles better. They actually communicate, we learn some Faerghus lore and they're just very wholesome overall. And Annette shows much more depth in her supports with Dedue, Ashe, Dimitri than she does with Felix. (also, petty reason: I don't care for Annette's songs and her singing in general, so a support chain that is solely focused on that? No thank you. Still, her VA is super talented, so hats off to her for being able to modulate her voice like this!) And in general, I'm not a big fan of Felix's supports with the female characters (even though there are some exceptions)... I feel like he'd have benefited from having a support chain with a girl (who isn't a childhood friend) based on her calling him out and making him understand how, well, toxic he can be. We do get some comments from Leonie, Ingrid and Dorothea, but it wasn't enough for him to say something like "okay, I do cross the line too often, I should work on that", I feel.

FE3H Mistletoe Headcanons
I know I said I was gonna chill on the Fódlan, but… I couldn’t leave y’all without your mistletoe headcanons. So here’s some sugary shippy sweetness for Christmas (or your weekend), featuring: Edelgard/Dorothea, Linhardt/Caspar, Ignatz/Marianne, Dimitri/F Byleth, Hilda/Marianne, Ingrid/Ashe, Seteth/M Byleth, and Bernadetta/Dorothea!
You can find last year’s 3H ones here if you’re interested! Otherwise, please enjoy the ones you see here!
Edelgard/Dorothea:
Dorothea is the kind of girl who is going to get what she wants. So if she wants that kiss from Edelgard, she’s going to get it. The only problem is that Edelgard is a private person and not the type to just go for it openly. So Dorothea has to strategize how she’s going to get that smooch. Late at night, Dorothea receives permission (gets Manuela to distract Seteth and Rhea) to use the cathedral. With a bit of help from her friends, she is able to decorate the pews. She invites Edelgard to meet her there, and when she arrives, she begins to sing a holiday love song in Adrestia. She even starts inserting Edelgard’s name into the song where she can, making her turn pink. The song seems to go on forever until, through song, Dorothea tells Edelgard she’s going to have to kiss her to shut her up.
So she does. The kiss was intended to be short and sweet, but the moment their lips connect, they’re alight with passion. Before long Edelgard’s fingers are tangled in Dorothea’s hair, and the singer is smiling into the kiss. Just according to plan.
Linhardt/Caspar:
Neither of these dummies even know that the mistletoe is there until they’re under it. They’re probably just bickering about something random in the Dining Hall, when Dorothea, trying to hide her smile behind her hand, points out that the two of them have wandered just under the doorway that has mistletoe hanging over it. Neither of them really clue into what it even means for a moment, until Petra loudly exclaims her knowledge of them needing to kiss because of her studies. Caspar is embarrassed at first, trying to process exactly what happens, but Linhardt honestly could not care less and tells him he thinks they should do it.
“You did used to talk about marrying me when we were quite little, you know.”
And so, Linhardt presses his lips ever so softly to Caspar’s, trying not to snicker at the way Caspar flushes bright red and can’t talk for a minute after.
Ignatz/Marianne:
I feel like once Marianne and Ignatz are together, Marianne absolutely becomes his muse. So their mistletoe moment is actually something that happens late at night on one of the decorated balconies, while Ignatz has just finished a painting of Marianne peering over the edge. They’re on their way back into the building when Marianne notices that the doorway to that particular part of the Monastery has mistletoe hanging above it. The two of them can’t help but blush a bit, but Ignatz is more than prepared to ask nicely if he could kiss her. Marianne, with a voice as smooth as silk, agrees and leans in to kiss him softly. As their lips connect and they begin to enjoy each other’s warmth, Ignatz suddenly feels as if he has a new idea for a painting.
Dimitri/F Byleth:
I feel like Dimitri and Byleth’s happens when Byleth is visiting Faerghus. Dimitri has been showing her around in one of the villages, and as much fun as they’re having, Byleth is starting to get a little chilly. She asks Dimitri if they can stop and take a break for a hot drink in a nearby restaurant. He agrees readily, but as they open the door to the restaurant and step in, one of the first things they discover before they can even speak to a hostess is that mistletoe is hanging from the ceiling. They can do nothing but laugh, wondering if the family running the business did such a thing on purpose, or if they just thought it would make a cute decoration.
“Still, tradition is tradition,” Byleth reminds, leaning in and puckering up jokingly. Dimitri chuckles softly before leaning down to meet her lips, gently cupping her face. Even the restaurant staff can’t help but smile at the sight of the happy couple.
Hilda/Marianne:
In the interest of preserving Marianne’s privacy, I feel like Hilda probably tried to make it pretty subtle. The last thing she would want to make her love upset, after all! After a great night hanging out together in town, laughing and eating sweets, Hilda invites Marianne back to her room for a cup of tea before they both retire for the night. They aren’t in there for long when Marianne notices the mistletoe hanging from the ceiling. Face flushed, she asks if Hilda just has it there for decoration.
Hilda, wanting to be open, says that she had it there because she was hoping to get a cute girl under it for a kiss. She asks Marianne if she’s willing to be that girl. The blush in Marianne’s face deepens as she nods, and Hilda places a soft, sweet, quick kiss on her lips. Hilda flashes her a smile as soon as it’s over — and gets caught by surprise when Marianne goes in for more.
Ingrid/Ashe:
These two book-loving, knight-loving dweebs were probably having a book date when theirs happened. Hours and hours were spent at the Garreg Mach Library, poring over their favourite books. The date is still ongoing when Ashe flips through the pages of “Loog and the Maiden of Wind” to try and show a passage to Ingrid, but he notices that someone has pressed some mistletoe between the pages. He can’t help but smile as he lifts it up and holds it over their heads.
“Would you mind?”
Ingrid blushes, but smiles herself. “Not at all. I mean, you could say that it’s fate.”
Flashing each other one last smile, they lean in and allow their lips to meet. The kiss is shy, but nice, and lasts just as long as they can make it — until Ingrid thinks she hears Seteth’s footsteps in the hallway.
Seteth/M Byleth:
This one is not plotted by either of the couple — you guessed right: this is a Flayn incident. She hangs up a little mistletoe in Seteth’s office with a trigger trap (with Auntie Rhea giving her a boost, of course), and then tries to lure both Seteth and Byleth there, mimicking each other’s handwriting in notes to get them to think that the other one sent a note about meeting in the office. In spite of her potentially wobbly hands, they seem to buy her penmanship. When the two of them arrive for their discussion, Byleth makes easy work of accidentally triggering the trap. As the mistletoe falls from the ceiling, Seteth is immediately embarrassed. Byleth, on the other hand, is loving it. After a little bit of teasing, Byleth is able to convince Seteth to give him a kiss. As their lips connect, around the corner, they can hear Flayn’s giggles.
Bernadetta/Dorothea:
Bernadetta is a tough nut to crack when it comes to mistletoe kisses, mostly because everything makes her shy or embarrassed. That being said, she’d like to initiate a mistletoe kiss with Dorothea, because she knows it would make her happy. She resolves to make it a happy but subtle occasion. So, she bakes a chocolate cake with a little faux-mistletoe garnish to sit on top, and invites Dorothea to have a slice. Dorothea is more than happy to oblige for her Berniebear, and she loves the presentation so much that she sets aside her little garnish to keep as a memento on the plate. Bernadetta, though, takes her own from her cake and holds it up above their heads, smiling sheepishly. Dorothea giggles at the sight, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear and pressing her lips to Bernadetta’s. The kiss is long, passionate, and tastes of chocolate.

- What's your favorite character arc?
- What's your favorite details you noticed about the game?
- What's your favorite character design?
- Do you have any hcs/things you'd like about less popular characters ( the church staff, students like Raphael or Caspar, random npc )
- Idk if you particularly care about shipping, but do you have any rarepair? ( Ok, tbh that one is because of your Rodrigue fic because it was delightful. And because I saw you liked Ferdinand/Dimitri- )
- Do you have any hcs around the characters family? ( This one might also be because of your Rodrigue fic- )
- ALSO is there any platonic dynamic, especially less popular, that you care about?
- Group dynamic too! I'm pretty sure your favorite is the blue lions, but is there anything particular you enjoy/notice about the houses? ( including the Church staff! And it can consider recruits too, as well as either pre or post time-skip )
- This one is a bit cheessy but is there any song you associate with three houses in some way?
( Sorry I know it looks a bit like an interview, feel free to only answer the question you want! And I might not like/reblog your answer bc I'm shy but I'll garantee you that I will have read it! Thanks you if you decided to answer :) )
wowa sure i’ll answer all these why not HDSNDJSN
gotta say dimitri has my favorite character arc 💪💪💥💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥👆👆👆 they literally gave him a trauma recovery arc and it wasn’t even bad. we love the psychotic rep in this game 💪💪💪💪 the healing 💥💥💥💥💥💥 the sexy also 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
THE FACT THAT YOU CAN JUST. WALK AROUND ON BATTLE MAPS TO EXPLORE THEM. I’M STILL NOT OVER THIS, THEY DIDN’T HAVE TO DO ALL THAT, AND YET…
oogh. this is a Hard One. all the character design in this game slaps so hard. i’ll probably have to say post timeskip Edelgard takes the cake for me though because like…that headdress…the gravitas of the whole getup…never seen anything like it before
I LOVE CORNELIA 💥💥💥💥💥💥 i know i already talked about my trans headcanon for her but like genuinely…..she is so fascinating to me…what is trans Agarthan culture like…one must wonder…
LMAO the Rodrigue fic was a commission but i am a Rodriguela supporter forever 🫡🫡🫡 other than that yeah i like Diminand (but i’m a Cymitri truther and Yes this counts as a rarepair to me), Ashelix, whatever Ferdinand and Felix is called but Specifically as exes…i think that’s it off the top of my head. i also ship Cornelia with Valter from Sacred Stones but that’s a whole nother can of worms
OUUUU tbh i think All of my family hcs came out in that one Felix fic that everyone sleeps on HDBSBDJS i just i just i love thinking about Glenn……..and what would happen if Felix just went to therapy ONCE……… Rodrigue is a good father idc what anyone says
yes i think we were robbed of Claude and Hubert supports and i’ll die on this hill. they would have been such incredible worsties. i also really like Lorenz and Ferdinand as the most insufferable friends on the planet. and Annette and Dimitri have such cute supports that i never hear anyone talk about…faerghus four my ass, Annette is Dimitri’s REAL sibling figure ‼️ speaking of the faerghus four i hate that dynamic. Dedue and Dimitri have thee most beautiful friendship and ppl want me to believe he has a comparable relationship with the snotty rich kids he grew up with? get real. that being said Felix and Sylvain have that Exact lasting childhood bond that everyone seems to want Dimitri to have with the rest of them so. i like those two as besties i have a lot of feelings about that.
its so interesting that the Blue Lions come off as my favorite group dynamic because like…i gotta say they’re probably my least favorite as a group AKDKSNSKSA i LOVE the Black Eagles for this. (i am totally neutral on the Golden Deer. i have like zero opinions on them and i am sorry 😔) specifically though i think what gets me about the Black Eagles is that they have this…communal vibe, i guess? it makes it easy to imagine them all like hanging out with each other even though they all have such STRONG personalities. the Blue Lions…i just get the sense that they’re not all very compatible with each other if that makes sense??? it feels like i’m at an awkward family dinner every time i see them all together. it could just be that i like almost all the BE whereas there are quite a few BL i strongly dislike HHDBWNDN because recruiting my faves makes this less unbearable. also i fucking love the church staff…i especially love how supportive all the professors are of each other, and how Byleth really feels like they have a community around them while working at Garreg Mach… Gatekeeper i love you………
yes i do actually and it’s PVP by Amaranthe. i don’t actually know WHY that song makes me think of this game, the lyrics aren’t really applicable, but i have such a vivid animatic in my head every time i hear it so there you have it.

Can you write something about Yuri singing his fussy little one to sleep? He hates singing in public, but I’m sure he’d make an exception for his child. 😊
(You can bet your cute little boot I will!!! ;;: U ;;: )
You weren’t entirely convinced what you were hearing was real, but sure enough, there was a very handsome humming coming from the corner of the bedroom.
What stirred you was your daughter’s fussing, waking up for the third time that night. To be fair, she was only two months old, so she was very new and therefore very used to getting her way with tears.
This time, it seemed that someone else had beaten you to the punch. You felt the bed shift beside you, a quiet groan followed by a tired yawn, and then the shuffling across the room to tend to the baby.
“Oh, dear…what has my little pup crying, now?” Yuri’s voice was so soothing and sweet, dripping with the faux pity that every parent shows their sobbing newborns. It was reserved especially for occasions like this one, where her diaper was clean, she was not hungry, and simply wanted some company.
You opted to feign sleep, listening as your husband attempted to soothe the child’s tears.
“Darling, it’s long past midnight…I know you’ve only just started to grasp the way of the world, but surely you’ve figured out how to sleep through the night after two months. You are your mother’s daughter, after all- you should be clever enough.”
Stifling a giggle was surprisingly difficult, even in the dead exhaustion of night.
“Very well,” He rocked her in his arms, shifting gently from foot to foot, “Shall Papa sing you a lullaby? I’m certain it will more than suffice.”
The incoherent ramblings of your darling daughter were quickly smoothed over with a soft tune.
Yuri’s voice was a prize, and a very rare treat to those outside his home. Even when it was just the two of you, it would take some sort of occasion or needling before you could pull a short song from his lips.
But for his daughter? Well, that was another story entirely.
“Over in Faerghus, many years ago…my mother sang a sweet song to me, in tones so sweet and low…”
You were no baby, but if that lullaby wasn’t just as effective in soothing you as it did your daughter’s tears…
Yuri’s voice was mellow and sweet, carrying through the night air with an entrancing beauty. He rocked the girl from side to side, in step with the slow rhythm of the song.
It took less than a minute for her warbling to slow to a stop, reduced to sniffles and soft whimpers as her father’s voice eased whatever worries were on her mind.
“And I’d give the world if she could sing this song to me this day…Oft in dreams I wander to that cot again, feeling her arms around me, as when she held me then…”
His song grew quieter and quieter, eventually reducing to little more than a warm hum of a gentle tune. The lullaby had done its work brilliantly, and your baby girl was successfully back to sleep.
He continued to hum as he settled her back into the bassinet, tucking her in and fawning over her as a proud father should.
The sweet serenade came to an end as Yuri returned to bed, crawling back to his place beside you. He pressed a kiss to your forehead, a smile on his lips.
“...It’ll be your turn the next time she wakes up, you know…”
“...I didn’t think you knew I was awake.” You whispered, peeking up at him. He clicked his tongue, kissing you once more.
“You cannot hide these things from me, my dear. It’s obvious when you’re listening to my performances with our daughter.”
“Oh?”
“For one thing, you start smiling.”
“...No I don’t.”
“You just don’t know it.” He laughed softly, wrapping his arms around you and drawing you into his chest. “I’ll tease you more, later…but you need some rest, Archbishop. I’ll handle the childcare, tonight.”
“She’s my baby too, you know…”
“Yes, but she looks so much more like me. Besides, how will she ever grow up to be a daddy’s girl if you take care of her all the time?”
“Fair point.” You nuzzled into your husband’s chest, who was all but purring with delight. He was profoundly happy to be a father, and to sing to her was one of life’s greatest joys.
You didn’t like the idea of your husband somehow stealing your daughter from you, but you supposed it could slide for now.
He was awfully cute when he was doting. And, naturally, it meant you got plenty more private performances from his serenades to a fussy, lavender-haired newborn.

Hello! Welcome to this edition of "Silver just rants and rants and rants about the worldbuilding of a fanfic". Why not start things off with my most elaborate fanfic?
This is an outfit reference I made for Dimitri to use during the Ethereal Moon Ball in Wolf Lord.
Aka: "the outfit he was supposed to wear when he was going to propose to Byleth but then he didn't do it at the last minute", whoops.
I wanted to imagine what kind of clothes Dimitri would use when not at Murder School, so something that might fit in at court, but is taken up to 11 for a formal event. Since he's A Literal Prince, he gets to use ermine fur (a symbol of royalty). His cape is "princely", a hint of his future High Lord and Great Lord outfits with his big, swishing King Cape. Also he gets to have boots with the fur (the fur!!!!)
Also yes, he has the Crest of Blaiddyd embroidered in silver string out on his belt and surcoat, as well as part of his clothes' clasps. Fun fact: embroidering precious metal string is called goldwork and requires highly skilled and specialized manual labor. That belt and trim are a splurge. Kinda like him wearing a gucci belt. But, compared to Claude (who is wearing cloth-of-gold which is "I'm so fucking rich my threads ARE GOLD") and Edelgard (who has a SOLID GOLD EAGLE HAIR STICK that is btw super fucking heavy but she's dedicated to the look, with HAND MADE BLACK LACE DETAILS AND GLOVES with some pearls tastefully sewn on the wrists....... she's giving that "romantique vampire qween of several millennia of accumulated wealth" levels of loaded), you can tell that he's not THAT rich. Note to self: maybe actually draw the others' outfits because I spent months looking at GOT costuming videos and details and have a bunch of ideas that would look cool but then promptly never described. Or maybe make a post later. IDK might have to think it over.
Anyway back to Dimitri: as royalty, he wears an ermine fur collar and trimmings. This is also another splurge that is cost-effective, since his territory IS known for luxury furriers. They don't mention the pelt/furrier industry in 3 Hopes, I think? But it makes sense for Faerghus to make bank with furs and good-quality leather. He might be a prince of the least wealthy country on the continent, but he is still royalty.
Dimitri himself didn't choose this outfit, but his Good Uncle Rufus (unironic, Rufus is actually a good dude in this fic) helped him pick out the outfit to give that "wow" factor that would match well with Byleth's outfit so that when they came back from the proposal the whole club would be lookin' at them the future King and Queen of Faerghus would look nice together...
Anyway, POV you're Rufus and you just spend weeks on end coaching your nephew to make a good impression on the only woman he has shown any kind of romantic interest so when he proposes she won't just go like "👁.👁 what" and then you get a letter saying "hey uncle lmao guess what i forgot to propose 🤪"
I'll upload Byleth's outfit with another batch of brainworms tomorrow, I wrote this entire post in a mad dash of inspiration (which is tbh the best way to Tumblr amirite) so it might have typos and weird jumping around especially at the end with all the flo-rida song lyrics, apologies but I am a mere vessel of the dimileth gods thatse it i cannae help it..........

Foot Note: I wrote this for my friends birthday so hopefully y’all like it so… yeah
———————————————————————
iOnce upon a time, in the enchanting kingdom of Faerghus, where whispers of love and passion floated in the air, there stood a magnificent castle. As thy approach the pearly white castle, its grandeur becomes increasingly evident. Nestled atop a gently rolling hill, it stands as a bastion of elegance and majesty. The castle's exterior is enveloped entirely in a pristine coat of grainy white paint, glistening under the soft daylight. Every wall, tower, and pillar is meticulously crafted with meticulous attention to detail, exuding an aura of ancient allure and timeless beauty.
The castle's architecture is a blend of various styles, combining elements of Gothic and Renaissance with a touch of whimsical fantasy. Towering spires reach towards the heavens, curving and tapering gracefully at their peaks like golden needles. Each spire is adorned with intricate carvings and delicate tracery, adding an extra layer of intricacy to the castle's decorative façade. Elaborate gargoyles peer down from the highest points as if keeping watch over the surrounding lands, their stone faces contorted into eerie expressions.
The castle's walls are massive and impenetrable, constructed from durable gray stone that has withstood the test of time. They rise seamlessly from the sloping grounds, forming a formidable barrier between the whimsical wonders within and the outside world. Narrow, arched windows punctuate the walls, their frames painted in a contrasting shade of robin's egg blue, providing a striking visual contrast against the pearly white canvas.
Continuing towards the bottom of the castle, a lively moat encircled its base, adorned with vibrant water lilies and gracefully gliding swans. The moat's crystal-clear waters shimmer under the sunlight, reflecting the castle's gleaming exterior, creating a magical aura around it. A sturdy drawbridge, decorated with ornate ironwork, spans across the moat, connecting the castle to the outside world. Standing open, it invites visitors into the enchanting realm within.
The weather outside the castle is as enchanting as the castle itself. The sky stretches forth in a canvas of cerulean blue, adorned with wispy clouds that dance gracefully against the heavens. A gentle breeze, laden with a hint of the neighboring meadows' fragrance, weaves through the air, creating a subtle symphony of rustling leaves and fluttering banners. The temperature is just right - neither too warm nor too cool - making it pleasant and inviting for anyone exploring the castle's exterior. Sunlight bathes the entire scene, casting long shadows along the castle's walls, accentuating its grandeur even further. The sun's rays, filtered through the delicate branches of nearby trees, create playful patterns on the ground, painting a natural kaleidoscope of light and shadow.
Though the weather is serene, a sense of anticipation fills the air. Birds soar above, chirping and singing their joyful melodies, their songs blending harmoniously with the rustling leaves and gentle whispers of the wind. The castle's surrounding landscape is awash with vibrant flowers, their colors ranging from delicate pastels to vibrant hues, as if nature herself had come to pay homage to this extraordinary edifice.
Overall, the pearly white castle stands proudly in its idyllic location, a testament to architectural mastery and imagination. Combined with the serene weather and the natural beauty surrounding it, the castle emanates an ethereal charm that enchants all who are fortunate enough to behold its splendor.
Inside its grand walls, there resided two souls destined to intertwine their fates in a tale of forbidden affection.
Prince Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd of Faerghus was a man of great stature and nobility. Born into a powerful and esteemed royal family, his essence exuded authority and leadership. He possessed a sharp mind, honed by years of rigorous education and a strict upbringing that ingrained in him the virtues of duty, honor, and justice. Dimitri's blue eyes emanated both intellect and compassion, and his dark, tousled hair added an air of rugged charm to his princely persona.
Within the kingdom, Dimitri was revered as a fair and just ruler, commanding the respect and admiration of his subjects. Known for his strategic prowess and exceptional combat skills, he had led his nation through countless battles, fiercely defending their lands against external threats. The prince's heart was filled with unmatched determination to protect Faerghus and its people, ensuring their prosperity even at the cost of his own well-being.
On the other hand, Princess Goldie of Rosefall, a neighboring kingdom, possessed a beauty unparalleled in the realm. Her golden locks cascaded like sunshine, and her emerald eyes sparkled with a mischievous twinkle. Scholars and poets alike were enchanted by her ethereal grace and mesmerizing charm. Gifted with a keen intellect and a compassionate heart, Goldie possessed a captivating personality that effortlessly drew everyone towards her.
Despite the overwhelming adoration she received, Princess Goldie's kingdom, Rosefall, was known for its isolationist policies. They were wary of establishing alliances or allowing external influences. The princess herself seemed to carry that burden as well, being confined within the walls of her luxurious castle. Her freedom and spirit were restrained, symbolizing the unattainable nature of their relationship.
Their neighboring kingdoms had often witnessed tension between the two ruling houses, Faerghus and Rosefall. The boundaries that separated them were not only geographical but political and ideological as well. They both prioritized the interests of their realms, their duty surpassing any personal longing they may have had. Though Dimitri and Goldie may have caught glimpses of each other during formal events and diplomatic meetings, they had never spoken or interacted beyond the confines of their royal duties.
Yet, the mere thought of a connection between the prince and princess intrigued the kingdom's gossipmongers. Tales of their hidden emotions and unexpressed love spread like wildfire, further fueling the imagination of the common folk. There was an undeniable magnetism between them, an invisible thread that tugged at their hearts, but their positions and responsibilities prevented it from being acknowledged openly.
The world beyond their reach seemed bleak and cold, but Dimitri and Goldie's secret desires, hopes, and dreams lived on. In the quiet solitude of their chambers, they often wondered if there was a possibility for their worlds to be entwined, for their hearts to beat in unison. Yet, duty held them captive, and their love remained silenced, buried beneath the weight of responsibility and the expectations of their respective kingdoms.
Their paths crossed once more during a grand gala, a lavish event to celebrate a rare eclipse that adorned the night sky. The very same moon that held their dreams formed an unspoken connection between the prince and princess. Dimitri dared to look into Goldie's eyes, witnessing the reflection of the stars and realizing the depth of his affection for her. Goldie, although bound by her obligations, secretly yearned to escape the shackles of tradition and follow the heart that pointed towards Dimitri.
However, the fairy tale had to remain unfinished, confined to the realm of hope and dreams. The duty of their positions and the rivalries between their kingdoms dictated their destinies. They were left with little choice but to suppress the love that bloomed within their hearts, the longing that stirred their souls.
And so, Prince Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd of Faerghus and Princess Goldie of Rosefall continued their separate journeys, forever yearning for a love forbidden, a love that could never be.

PROMPT 2. & SCHMOOVIN’ & GROOVIN’
The Elementals find that, with time, their little pets eventually are able to adapt and even enjoy their new circumstances! Good to know, Earth says, because certain spirits among them aren’t known for their patience. Most toys would have gotten themselves disposed of by this time, but that’s neither here nor there—ooh look, a band!
Crickets, mice, and birds make up the orchestra this year, blessed with the specific knowledge of playing songs from all over the world. After all, the vast knowledge of the Morfisian elementals knows no bounds and expands into Fódlan and beyond. Of course they made a couple tweaks to most, no, all of the songs, but they are sure you’ll love the changes they made!
Freestyle!
[ Embrace ] - The sender gets in closer, practically embracing the receiver as they dance.
[ Hips ] - The sender’s hips don’t lie as they move boldly with the beat of the music, grabbing the receiver’s attention.
[ Whisper ] - The sender leans in, whispering something for the receiver’s ears only.
[ Dip ] - The sender boldly and dramatically dips the receiver down. Don’t drop them!
[ Spin ] - The sender lifts the receiver into the air, spinning them around. Don’t get dizzy!
[ Kiss ] - The sender takes their opportunity to lean in, intent on kissing the receiver.
[ Whoops ] - While they dance, the sender trips over the receiver.
[ Trip ] - While they dance, the sender trips the receiver over.
[ Improvise ] - The sender doesn’t know how this dance goes and tries to improvise, dragging the receiver along the way.
[ Freedom ] - The sender goes against the grain and makes up their own dance moves for the receiver to follow!
And anything else you can think of!
Learn new dances!
[ Archanea ] - An old minuet originating from the Kingdom of Archanea, a true classic that has stood the test of time. Due to its difficulty, successfully executing the dance is an achievement in and of itself.
[ Zofia ] - Modeled after an Archanean court dance, but with an energetic twist. The entire body is engaged with the dance, creating a spectacle that is enjoyable to watch.
[ Grannvale ] - An old waltz from before the rise of Emperor Arvis. It was popular during its time in the 750s but has now become a relic of the past, one that may not be as appreciated by the newer generation.
[ Elibe ] - An Ostian court dance where the leading partner wields a ceremonial sword as a part of the routine. This dance, meant to resemble a knight with his lady, is getting some attention from the students of Fódlan.
[ Renais ] - A choreographed dance from rural Renais. Two rows of partners stand opposite of each other, dancing as they move closer and away from each other like waves upon a shore.
[ Crimea ] - A traditional dance that requires quite a bit of athleticism to pull off. In addition to keeping up with fast-paced music, the dancers must perform a variety of leaps and flips.
[ Ylisse ] - The successor of the Archanean minuet, this waltz suits modern Ylissean tastes with easy-to-learn steps, a faster pace, and a closeness to your partner that continues to scandalize the older generations in Ylisse.
[ Nohr ] - A quick-paced dance that focuses heavily on precise footwork and bold movements, evoking the image of two soldiers in battle.
[ Hoshido ] - A synchronized dance that must be done by two people. To a slow and gentle melody, the pair moves with fluid purpose, evoking the image of a crane in flight.
[ Adrestria ] - A court dance that has spread like wildfire through Fódlan ballrooms. This waltz is best known for a special move that calls for the partners to join hands, together forming the shape of a bird in flight.
[ Faerghus ] - A slow-paced partner dance that allows both dancers to pull in close, practically embracing each other as they sway to the music. Popular amongst couples.
[ Leicester ] - An expressive, rhythmic dance that is only well-known in its homeland. Sweeping, dramatic movements and making noise with clapping and foot-stomping are required for this passionate style.
[ Morfisian ] - A sophisticated dance that celebrates the wondrous beauty of fire magic. Fire magic dances upon your fingers and gives your face an ethereal glow, yet the Elementals would be even more pleased if you praised the magic that they’ve currently cast upon you.
And feel free to make music requests for the band!

having thoughts about anniegard tonight
imagine annette and edelgard being put on kitchen duty together or something and annette is blown away because edelgard is like, stern but in a kind way and it just blows her mind. you mean someone can gently critique you without making you feel like you're not trying hard enough? you mean not everyone acts as though your mistakes decrease your value as a person???
and annette falls head over heels for edelgard but doesn't know it like that yet because faerghus and she transfers into the black eagles and they go on dates together but of course they're not dates they're just tea or lunch because faerghus and edelgard loves hearing annette's silly songs and doing things with her but she doesn't want to get too close
and on the night before the holy tomb edelgard is wracked with torment in her room because this is her gethsemane and annette can't sleep because she's anxious about rhea taking them all down to the tomb tomorrow and so she goes up to edelgard's room and ends up admitting that she loves her in a very non-faerghus way but edelgard, knowing full well what she is going to unleash upon the world tomorrow, knows she's going to break annette's heart anyway so she lies to her and says she doesn't like girls in, you know, the adrestian way. but all the black eagles side with her at the tomb anyway so edelgard has to awkwardly apologize to annette

FE OC WEEK DAY 1: Introduction
Here is another FE3H OC I'm introducing for @fe-oc-week! (Though I won't be doing all the prompts with her).
Please note that English isn’t my first language!
❧Name: Maude Yuehua Blaiddyd (Maude means “mighty in battle” and Yuehua is from chinese “Yue”: moon and “Hua”: flower). Also known as Rong Yuehua and Maude Lescure.
❧Age : 25 years old in 747
❧Affiliation: Holy Kingdom of Faerghus
❧In short: A heroine of the War of the Eagle and Lion (yes, she's the "maiden of wind" from Ashe's book!). Maude was born in Dagda to a Faerghian father and a Dagdan mother. A powerful magician, she spent 8 years in Morfis, both as a student and a teacher. Longing to discover her father’s country, Maude traveled to Faerghus where she met Loog and the two fell deeply in love. Seeing Faerghus’ suffering under Adrestian rule, she joined his cause and fought bravely during the ensuing war. She later left her mark in history as Loog’s wife and co-ruler...and Dimitri's ancestress.
❧Apparence: Maude is 1m73 tall with a slender, athletic figure. Her dark hair is cut shoulder-length for practical reasons. She has a sweet oval face and slightly slanted dark brown eyes. Her nose is straight and regular. She has a noticeable scar on her forearm due to an accident when training with magic.
She mostly practical traveling clothes, with pants and a knee-length round collar vest, and a fur-trimmed coat to face the Faerghian winter. Her favorite colors are blue and green. When she arrived in Faerghus, she was still wearing a white garment under her clothes as she was mourning her mother and white is the color of mourning in Dagda. She always paints a blue or red flower on her forehead, between her eyebrows (like this) and likes mixing Faeghian and Dagdan elements in her clothing. Her mother's sword and her father's dagger are always by her side.
❧Theme song: “Shake it out”, Florence and the Machine
❧Her pinterest
❧Skills:
Strengths: Reason, sword, authority, brawling (budding talent)
Weaknesses: lance, axes, bows
Maude exhibited a gift for magic from a young age. Her stay in Morfis allowed her to develop her full potential. She knows rare spells and formulas. Upon her arrival in Faerghus, she teaches the local mages and her formations will later inflict important damage on the Adrestian troops.
She possesses tremendous magical power and the skills to use it adequately. Among Loog’s close allies, only Pan rivals her in terms of magical ability. As her nickname indicates, Maude has a natural affinity for wind magic and can summon powerful gusts or cutting wind blades. She also uses thunder spells, including Bolting.
With a taste for physical activity, Maude was taught martial arts and swordsmanship during her childhood. She neglected this discipline while in Morfis, but underwent rigorous military training with a former general before she departed for Faerghus. Maude is thus a fast and nimble swordswoman, using a traditional Dagdan Jian. She can also fight without weapons. Training with her new friends allows her to improve her skills in unarmed combat.
❧Personality:  Maude has a bright and energetic personality. She’s extremely sociable and can put even the most timid people at ease. As a teacher, she was patient and knew how to make difficult concepts understandable. She was thus well-liked by her students. She likes exercise, such as fencing, martial arts, running or games such as cuju and exploring new places.
She’s also hardworking, having reached her current level in magic with much perseverance and discipline. When she began studying in Morfis, she realized that she was lacking in some areas and promised to improve. She gives herself the means to reach her objectives.
Another major trait of hers is curiosity. Whether it concerns magic or the world’s mysteries, Maude thirsts for knowledge. Present her with a riddle and she will do her best to solve it. She has been dreaming for a long time of going on an adventure, sailing into the unknown. and discovering the other half of her origins.
This, however, caused her undoing. Maude was so hungry for knowledge that she was once overwhelmed and stayed in Morfis longer than she had planned. Because of that, she missed her mother’s funeral. Though traumatic, this even was a wake-up call and showed her how much Morfis had changed her. She had become so proud of her abilities that she wanted to see how far she could go and amass more power and knowledge. When thinking of this, she now feels guilty and tends to be harsh with herself.
She thus won't be led astray again and won’t waste time dreaming. Since she’s discovering the world, she’s still unaware of some realities but isn’t naive or blind and desires to face them. Clever and resourceful, she knows how to handle herself and analyzes new situations with a practical mind.
She also has a strong sense of justice and longs for a cause. When she discovers Faerghus' situation, she refuses to run away and stays to fight with her friends. She is very much aware of the dangers she faces but isn’t afraid of undertaking long and arduous journeys. Maude is merciless with her foes and doesn’t think twice before striking. During her first battle, she has no qualms about using Bolting on a pirate ship. She won’t let anyone cross her, be they family members.
Stay tuned for her backstory!

spotify writing prompt 19!
song 19 is Heavy is the Crown by Daughtry! it normally gives me Dimitri vibes but today I'm thinking about what if Faerghus crowned Rodrigue in the Timeskip... so i. drew an image.
Tumblr media
What little remained of Faerghus needed a King. Rufus had been murdered, and Dimitri executed for the crime without trial or proof. Lambert had been dead for years. There were no legitimate heirs left, there was just chaos and infighting and if they wanted to repel the Empire, and oust Cornelia's Dukedom, then they needed someone under which to unite. It never should have been Rodrigue, bearing the mantle of royalty. He had only ever been meant to serve the crown, not wear it. It rested on his brow, heavy with the weight of Lambert's memory. Rodrigue bowed his head.
