I won't ever come out as poly to my dad's side of the family, but the temptation to bring a different partner to every family event until one of them asks is super high

My mom's side will be chill about it, fairly sure they've already guessed but are waiting for me to say something. I do think my mom's in denial though, she was visibly relieved when she met my girlfriend because it confirmed to her that me and another partner (who she really loves but thinks is a bit strange) must just be friends, wait til she finds out there's 3 almost 4 partners and they're ALL FUCKING WEIRD

i have been in the past, but i also enjoy monogamy, i mostly did solo poly or was a third for an established couple (or a fifth for two couples) but i don't find myself interested in it much anymore

Once again I try to give a guy a chance and once again he reminds me of why it's so damn easy for me to go months/years at a time being single and celibate.

I don't understand all the hoopla around having a friend with benefits; they don't treat me like I'm their friend and the benefits are few and far between.
