I watched Amazon' "SOLOS"
So I finally watched the Mazon Original show "Solos" and it was awesome. So imagine. Is not an action movie nor there is much action as movement in it. Is basically if you went to a theater. Same set character a monolog. 7 episodes now here us the thing each story is connected to each other. If you want to connect all the dots you need to see all the episode. Is just a awesome Masterpiece and would like to see more TV Shows like this.

we're all hung up over the ending so here's some limoreau au ideas super long post tho
royalty au - there's already one of these on ao3, where marie is a princess and jordan is a heir to a company. absolutely a banger, hope to see more of this au from other people but also from the creator themselves (the more we lie (the more we love) by secretshare is the au)
spiderman au - i'm gonna need someone to hear me out on this one. hear me out. jordan, born male, out of nowhere develops superpowers after being bitten by a radioactive spider. now, they have to figure out and balance their new powers - which aside from invincibility, waves, and like spider shit also includes gender shifting and they have to confront and navigate with their parents the identity that their parents didn't wanna face because it's become increasingly real. and this to me is like mcu ish. anyways, they also have to uh navigate their crush on marie moreau (gwen stacy of the world). hear me out.
rival TAs au - bringing this one back from my last post, jordan as brink's TA, they're a 3rd year ranked number two. but there's a professor that brink works closely with who just chose their new TA, it's the 1st year that jordan's been in hot water with marie moreau who is everything jordan hates. if jordan is a hard worker, who takes their time, marie is a genius who gets what she wants just because she's a genius. there's a rivalry but they're forced to work together when their professors start... look i don't have a justification as to why but they just do.
period piece au - i'm talking bridgerton, little women, pride and prejudice. rivalry, enemies, tension but forced to keep the tension under wraps and present a united and kind front but everyone knows they hate each other. the sexual tension of it all. lingering glances, fleeting touches. it is perfect for a couple like marie and jordan who love having a stupid big brown eyes off every episode every possible second
debate club au - look i was the HS debate captain i'm in college debate you have to hear me out . jordan as the captain of the team, marie as the new student who's a prodigy, rising star- she's a genius who's quickly put herself on par with the best team in the club. and now for nationals, the coaches put her and jordan together. the tension, the proximity, the trust, and the communication. whispers in hallways, cheering when they place first, the tension of finals. cuhrazy stuff.
figure skating au - OKAY ALL OF THIS IS LOWKEY STARTING TO SOUND THE SAME BUT IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS BUT STILL. the tension. jordan just lost their partner after a life changing injury, their coach pulls up with new star marie moreau who was beginning to dominate the solo scene but out of nowhere dropped out and now she's going duo with jordan li how mysterious. the training, the hands, the stunts, THE PROXIMITY. (my favorite word today) the anger and the arguments when they mess it up, but the fear when it seems like something bad happened. imagine both of them on the jumbotron thingy bracing for their score and it like breaks a record i mean. think about it. this is growing to be a fave.
hockey/figure skater au - jordan is a hockey player, jordan needs to be more precise, more agile. their coach talks to the figure skating rink coach and gets a tutor for jordan, marie moreau figure skater. i will not elaborate, i do not need to- mostly because it's the same shit i mentioned before but slightly different but Still.
volleyball au - if you have amazon prime, you have access to cinemalaya's rookie which is a Filipino indie film about a junior basketball player who moves to a new catholic all girls school and starts playing volleyball (because there's no girls basketball team), she falls in love with the team captain, who hates her sm. it's so fucking good, now imagine it as limoreau. imagine jordan li as the team captain who has to take care of this new member, marie who yeah she's tall and she has like whatever basics but she sucks at volleyball and for some reason is so out of it. plus plus plus volleyball tension, the other couple that gives a constant big brown eyes off is ace and jana.
gossip girl au - another hear me out, marie who's always lives her life in lowerclass new york as an orphan is adopted by victoria newman and now has to navigate life in a new school with upperclass new yorkers. she's thrown into the midst of it all and has to deal with being a fish out of water plus jordan being like wary of her. andre brings her into the group after she saves him from a tough situation with a teacher or a quiz, cate and emma are so down to welcome another girl, luke has a nice heart to heart with her and welcomes her in, and if luke and emma let her in, sam is down, but jordan- jordan is the only one who doesn't want her there and she doesn't know why. look i just watched only 1 season of gossip girl i do not know shit but still
okay yeah those are all the aus off the top of my head <3 add some more if you'd like, brain dump with me over shit I'll never write

I’ve only seen a few things with Henry Cavill in them and I love him mostly as Napoleon Solo. Also from clips and photos I’ve seen from Synder’s DCEU, Henry Cavill’s Superman reminds me of Injustice Superman
Oh yeah? I love his Napoleon Solo. Really want a second one! His Superman will always be one of my favorites. Top 2, with Christopher Reeves.
What I recommend:
Geralt of Rivia, even though he's not in the show anymore. (Big Sad). (Netflix)
Nomis/Night Hunter, the premise of the movie could be triggering, don't how you'd take something like it. (read about it first) but OMG! Walter Marshall, Henry's Original Grumpy Character, before Geralt! (Amazon Prime)
The Tudors is also really good. His character, Charles Brandon's, development from Fuck Boi to Teddy Bear, is the best. (Starz of Amazon Prime)
Sherlock Holmes! I will show his performance as this Detective from the rooftops, for all the time! He's so good as Sherlock. Esp in the 2nd one, where we get to see some of Henry's humor. It's not all about his muscle and brawn. He's wielding his mind as the sword now. It's like we've stepped back into him playing Charles Brandon in a way. (Netflix)
August Walker, wow! Another role Henry really blew out of the water! And I will say, the man can sport a mustache like few I've ever seen! (Amazon Prime)

P.B
JULY/AUGUST/SEPTEMBER
For starters, I went on tour in July which was fucking incredible. With my first couple of tours in 2022 (with Joji & then my own solo US/UK tour) the nerves were sometimes so all-consuming that I'd spend the mornings spiraling, curled up in a ball in my hotel room...then soundcheck -> warmups -> go time. I always had a great time during the show but the before / after was mentally draining.
Before heading on this Asia tour, I spent a lot of time thinking about how I was going to play shows in cities I'd grown up in/spent a lot of time in and that I was ticking off a bunch of bucket list items in a two-week window. insanity. This tour was also my official send-off to the rapunzel project and it definitely made things a little more sentimental.
Going in with that mindset, I had a fucking blast. Meeting so many of you, playing my first festivals, solo-venturing out in new cities and trying new cuisines. I've already posted a big highlight reel on IG/The TOK, but I thought I'd share a cute little video snippet of my nani (Grandmother) dancing to Blur during my Delhi show.
August was filled with a lot of traveling. The big 17 hour flight from Singapore to LA felt as long as it sounds. Head in the Clouds in LA, which had a snazzy Amazon Prime livestream - my sister watched it - then back to Nashville to work on finishing this album during the weekdays. Flew to LA to play my label the new songs (they seemed to like them). Spent a couple of weekends in NYC, writing in coffee shops, and walking around the park and getting an ear-break. another weekend in DC for a much needed catch up with friends from home.
September has been a bit more settled. I've been in the studio mostly. Nashville is a great city but I don't know all that many people here and the loneliness has been deep. I've asked for a "table for 1" more times than I can count. my running joke with my friends (who very cutely call to check in on me) is that I've never heard my inner monologue so clearly, which is probably good for the music.
As far as that goes .. some of my favourite songs I've ever written. the album has really taken shape and it has a name (P.B). If you guess it, I will literally send it to you right now. it's a bit of a mouthful ngl.
There's a small chunk of it left to finish and write. The singles have been sitting in a folder in my computer for some months now. they will be in your ears "soon". I know i've said that word so many times.....I didn't realize how legit releasing a song could be....weeks of lead time, getting press people to hear it, teeing up things on social media (the tok...), making sure you have videos lined up....things I never ever thought about when I started out.
okay that's my big update.

- Netflix? E poi come cazzo ti permetti? - Io come cazzo mi permetto? - Mi frega perché voglio i triliardi, voglio i bizzilioni, forse persino i paperdollari. - Ah, è così? E allora sai che ti dico avido bastardo? Lì fuori è pieno così di servizi di streaming migliori di te. Ti mollo e me ne trovo un altro! - Non oseresti! - Addio! … - Lascia fare a me. Ti piace Star Wars? - Io adoro Star Wars. - A posto. Ce l’ho. - Ma che figata! E cos'hai? - Tutto. - Come tutto? - Tutto. Tre stagioni. Nella seconda mi diventa ludopatico. Indovina chi gli dà la voce? - Non lo so. - Dai, indovina. - Non lo so. - Servillo. Fuma a tutto spiano! Però sigarette elettroniche perché è pur sempre Disney… - Io non so se… - Marvel! Ti piace la Marvel? - Magari ha un po’ stuccato… - TUTTA LA MARVEL. - Tutta? - Cliente no? - No, ci piace suddito. - No. - Uhm, sei tosto. - Uau. Com’è? - Molto noiosa. … - Sky. - Eccomi qua. - Che mi proponi? - Ho solo una parola per te. Calcio. - Mi piace il calcio. - Certo che ti piace. Guarda qua: Conference League. - Ottimo. - Europa League. - Addirittura. - Champions League. - Meraviglioso. - Scusa, che squadra tifi tu? - Juve. - Oh no. … - DAZN. - €Kkom1 Q#a! - Va tutto bene? - Hò zoLL0 uñª pA@rlllll P*r ttt3. - Uhm. … - Ciao, sono Apple TV! Ho delle serie decenti. - Tutto qua? - No, no, e se ti dicessi che a breve potrai vedere quelle serie con un’esperienza rivoluzionaria a 360° grazie ai nostri futuristici visori? - Be’, è fantastico! - A solo 3500 euro. - Non posso spendere 3500 euro per un visore. - Perché? - Perché devo mangiare. - Mi dispiace, non sei il nostro target. … - Ciao MUBI. - Fammi indovinare, vuoi una serata rilassante? - Magari. - E invece Tarkovkij. - No dai… - Herzog. - Magari una roba un po’ più leggera. - Lee Chang-dong. Coreano. Secret Sunshine. - Addio MUBI. - Torna qui! Mi sento così solo! C’ho Bergman in offerta! … - Non ci posso credere. - Ciao RAI. - Sei tornato. - Sì - Sei tornato da mamma. Dalla tua mammuzza. - Sì, boh, mo vediamo… - Come vediamo? Ma io lo sapevo! Non aspettavo altro! Il mio bambino! Guarda come sei cresciuto. - Mamma, tutti i servizi in streaming mi trattano male. Vieni, abbracciami. Sai che ti voglio tanto tanto bene? - Anche io te ne voglio. - E mamma non è come quelle brutte avide piattaforme. Mamma ti vuole bene esattamente come sei. - Grazie mamma.

Have you seen Hazbin Hotel on Prime? A main character in it is a porn star and really hits points about the industry. Drugs, depression, r*pe, and an inability to leave.
They explore his struggles throughout the show but his solo is a good summery of what they touch on.

And here we see the Tangled the series fan bouncing from one animated show, show ran by an awful, racist, sexist that abused his animation and writing team to another show, show ran by an awful racist, transphobic abuser of her staff.
hi there! thank you for passing by my blog <3
The thing I love about animation (or any medium for that matter: books, movies, comics, poetry, etc) is that it is art. It is something that I resonate with, enjoy, and become passionate about at least on a personal level. It's a story that's all-consuming and moving and the fact that I am moved by art brings me an euphoria that reminds me I'm human. It reminds me of the beautiful things in life and the good that can come from the power of creation humans have at their disposal.
I will now stop sounding like a hippie and get to the point I wanna make.
You said it yourself: the animated shows I enjoy and publicly talk about were created by a group of people.
A staff. A team.
Many of them (I'm sure you would know since you seem to know a lot about what happens BTS), make their own sneaky changes and originality to the story and it passes by unnoticed by creators. I'm talking animators, writers, storyboarders. I can think of multiple examples of fandoms I've been in.
Though the 'creator' leads the staff and their own story and every nook and cranny that's built in a story and a medium, you still need a team unless you're doing all of it solo, which are very rare few-in-between projects that rarely get to the mainstream.
That being said, I know very well that awful people are at the top of these projects. Amazon (prime video) itself is a capitalist gigant that I abhor, big companies suck. Disney sucks. I'm aware of the whole Chris Sonnenburg dude joining the Daily Wire. It sucks, but that does not mean I will turn a blind eye to the amazing ass team who worked on said projects (I can quite literally name a few who are legends within the TTS fandom). The staff Is what really brings the whole thing together, and I want to applaud them for it.
I can separate the art from the artist and simultaneously be conscious of who's creating these things.
If I were to go with your logic, dear Anon, in that case, I'm sure there wouldn't be a single show/media that you would consume. That's just the truth.

Don't Do call it a comeback.
The Golden Globes - the least respected awards show, but one that the industry loved because of the fawning, star-f*cking Hollywood Foreign Press Association and, hey, who doesn't a party and free flowing drinks - returns after the industry had to put on a time-out because of controversies surrounding their leadership.
While there were some film and television critics who called on press to not write about the event as they didn't feel the HFPA has truly addressed their failings, and celebrities who didn't even comment on their nominations because to do so would seemingly mean that they have forgiven the HFPA, there was still a good bit of star power on hand. And I must say I am pretty happy with the winners.
BEST MOTION PICTURE – DRAMA The Fabelmans
Tumblr media
*It's Spielberg so it's a well-made film, but it wasn't extraordinary. As I exited the screening someone ahead of me turned to their friend and said, "Well, not all of his films can be epic.". Spielberg has the hard task of topping himself. Upon reflection though, I appreciate the film more. Yes, I think he should have chosen to either focus on the familial relationship and his parents' marriage (the most interesting part of the film) or focus on a teen chasing his love of filmmaking - honestly, Spielberg's documentary exists so this film needn't cover both. But it's a brave thing for him as a son to examine their parents as mere humans and come to a place of understanding and acceptance of that (in reality it took Spielberg much longer than his film counterpart to come to peace with his parents' failed marriage).
BEST DIRECTOR – MOTION PICTURE Steven Spielberg (The Fablemans)
BEST MOTION PICTURE – MUSICAL OR COMEDY The Banshees of Inisherin
MORE WINNERS
BEST ACTOR IN A MOTION PICTURE – MUSICAL OR COMEDY Colin Farrell (The Banshees of Inisherin)
Tumblr media
*The award was always Farrell's to lose and while I love he won, I was also pulling for Ralph Fiennes (The Menu). In typical Colin Farrell fashion he gave a wryly funny and heartfelt acceptance speech (which he started out big-upping Ana de Armas for her work in BLONDE), thanking Martin McDonaugh, his cast and his two sons James and Henry.
James is 19 already!
Tumblr media
BEST SCREENPLAY – MOTION PICTURE Martin McDonagh (The Banshees of Inisherin) *McDonagh thank his cast including "new friend Barry Keoghan who almost stole the movie and Kerry, an old friend who did steal the movie."
McDonagh attended with his partner Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
Tumblr media
I wonder if Waller-Bridge bumped into Donald Glover. The two were to star in Amazon's TV adaption of MR. AND MRS. SMITH - a project that Glover brought to the streamer. He brought in Waller-Bridge who he became close to when they made SOLO (he also feted her when she won her BAFTA-LA honour). But in 2021 it was announced they had creative differences and she left the project. When Glover wrote about it in his self-interview in Interview magazine last year he wrote, "I still like her. I assume she still likes me." Waller's replacement is Maya Erskine of PEN15.
BEST MOTION PICTURE – NON-ENGLISH LANGUAGE Argentina, 1985 (Argentina), Prime Video
BEST ACTRESS IN A MOTION PICTURE – DRAMA Cate Blanchett (Tár)
BEST ORIGINAL SCORE – MOTION PICTURE Justin Hurwitz (Babylon)
BEST ACTOR IN A MOTION PICTURE – DRAMA Austin Butler (Elvis)
Tumblr media
*Austin was asked about his still present Elvis accent. He says he doesn't think he sounds that much like Elvis anymore, but says it is now in his DNA. Maybe when he does commentary for the DVD?
Tumblr media
BEST MOTION PICTURE – ANIMATED Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio *A great film and deserving but I have a soft spot for PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH. I highly recommend it.
BEST ACTRESS IN A MOTION PICTURE – MUSICAL OR COMEDY Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once)
BEST ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE IN ANY MOTION PICTURE Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) *First major award win for an MCU project.
Her 1994 win vs. 2023.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bassett and husband seemingly gathered their son after he participated in a TikTok prank ans told them Michael B. Jordan died.
youtube
BEST ACTOR IN A SUPPORTING ROLE IN AN MOTION PICTURE Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All At Once)
Tumblr media
*I think Ke Huy Quan's return to acting has eclipsed Brendan Fraser's role in THE WHALE as this awards season feel good story. Quan gave an emotional and enthusiastic speech, shouting out Steven Spielberg who cast him at 7-years old in INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM and later GOONIES which Spielberg executive produced.
While Quan has recently reconnected with Harrison Ford at last year's D23 (where Ford was stomping for the next Indiana Jones film and Quan season 2 of LOKI),
Tumblr media
Quan and Spielberg has kept in touch over the year. After not finding acting work Quan began working behind the scenes in film as a stunt choreographer and assistant director. and Spielberg would frequently invite him to his film sets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And while THE GOONIES cast has often reunited over the years like for their DVD commentary and other things, the one Goonie Quan remains the closest to is Jeff Cohen who played Chunk who has been Quan's lawyer for years.
BEST ORIGINAL SONG – MOTION PICTURE “Naatu Naatu” (RRR)
Tumblr media
*This whole time I thought "Naatu Naatu" was the end credit song of RRR, but no, that's "Etthara Jenda", which to me is the much better song. Some people speculate it's a bit too political which is why the studio didn't put it forward for consideration because you have to remember, India did not put RRR forward for anything - its American distributor is running this campaign. It's that distributor who has put it forward for Best Picture for the Oscars.
How big is RRR here in the states? Los Angeles based Beyond Fest announced they were selling tickets for a IMAX screening and cast Q&A and the tickets sold out in 98 seconds.
BEST TV SERIES – DRAMA House of the Dragon
BEST TV SERIES – MUSICAL OR COMEDY Abbott Elementary
BEST ACTOR IN A TV SERIES – DRAMA Kevin Costner (Yellowstone)
BEST ACTRESS IN A TV SERIES – DRAMA Zendaya (Euphoria)
BEST TV LIMITED, ANTHOLOGY SERIES OR TV FILM The White Lotus
BEST ACTOR IN A LIMITED, ANTHOLOGY SERIES, OR A FILM MADE FOR TV Evan Peters, Dahmer (Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story)
Tumblr media
*Years ago I went to a panel Evan was on IIRC it was when Evan did the American Horror Story season of CULT and Evan talked about how supportive and caring Sarah Paulson is because AHS darkness often takes a toll on him and Paulson held enough awareness that she could tell when things were getting too rough on him and she would step in if the director/s were making him do too many retakes or if shooting went on too long. I hope in that time he has built up the armor he needs to not get worn down if he's going to keep playing in Ryan Murphy's toybox.
BEST ACTRESS IN A LIMITED, ANTHOLOGY SERIES, OR A FILM MADE FOR TV Amanda Seyfried (The Dropout)
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS – TV LIMITED SERIES/FILM Jennifer Coolidge (The White Lotus)
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR – TV LIMITED SERIES/ANTHOLOGY/TV MOVIE Paul Walter Hauser (Black Bird)
*I am just going to assume Taron made this special post to show people that there are no hard feelings over PWH not thanking Taron during his speech.
Tumblr media
Taron (in Giorgio Armani with his mum) was nominated for a SAG Award.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BEST ACTRESS IN A TV SERIES – MUSICAL OR COMEDY Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary)
Tumblr media
BEST ACTOR IN A TV SERIES – MUSICAL OR COMEDY Jeremy Allen White (The Bear) *Very happy for White but I really wished he had been recognized during his SHAMELESS years. He was as good as the often recognized William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum.
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS – TV SERIES Julia Garner (Ozark)
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR – TV SERIES Tyler James Williams

Long Distance Date Ideas
Movies - watch them together! We often just use the same app and sync up our movies, though I know disney+ and Amazon prime has an option for a watch party.
Meals - cook the same meal and eat it together.
Go on a picnic - similarly to cooking together, but pack a similar lunch and get outside, enjoy the sunshine! Just make sure to pick a spot with good cell reception, otherwise you’ll be eating solo.
Virtual museum tours - we’ve not done this one yet, but I’m looking forward to it. Here’s a link to get you started if you want to join us!
Errands - grab your AirPods, put your baby in your ear, and run your errands at the same time! Through and I often feel more connected when we’re at the same grocery store at the same time, and can choose the same foods even across the country.
Online games - apps like Game Pigeon for apple users means you can play games through text messaging. Challenge your honey and make it naughty if you like. 😈
Go for a walk together. It can be as simple as strolling around your neighborhood, or you can add things like creating a scavenger hunt for your partner.

Okay, okay...
