Six Sentence Sunday-Lovers of Halamshiral
The marble floor was swallowed in echoes as my ruby cushioned feet led me on a journey, seeking solace where silence was condemned. Every corner was filled with petty laughter and lying tongues, whispers and folly. The Winter Palace, although exhilarating, would be no home for me. The moonlight stained the corridor the faintest of blue where Solas waited patiently with welcoming arms.
"Well done." He fed me his praises as his hands guided me to him.
“Well done.” A gentle encouragement in my ear and a palm on my waist.
"Well done." He emphasized with a slow kiss.
I could live off of his words alone, never grow hungry. Even Empress Celine’s vaulted treasures could not tempt me from the words of this man.
Drunk on our victory, reason was diluted by wine, thus any reasons not to were blurry and tiny. We found an unoccupied corner away from the main festivity in the ballroom, a lonely balcony overlooking the lake. Unashamed and unafraid by scandal we let the moment saturated by desire; take control.

Six Sentence Sunday: Prologues to The Heretic
“Yet, my pursuit brings me closer to you, Solas.” I announced softly so the gathered spectators would not overhear.
I caressed the King piece in my palm with absolute tenderness, knowing full well it was within his view. His right brow raised before he forced the muscles of his face into a neutral expression, yet when I looked up at him he drew his face away quickly. I suppose neutrality could not hide everything. He briefly sized up the crowd before returning to face me.
“Do they bother you, Solas? Do you find it hard to focus?” I whispered coyly.
“With you in my sight, Vhenan, how could I see anyone else? Besides, I am merely waiting for your next play. It is your turn, or have you forgotten in your arduous pursuit of my King?” Solas countered.
“I will have more than that in my hands by the end of this, Solas. Just you watch.” I proclaimed boldly.

WIP Wednesday: Prologues to The Heretic
Thank you for the tag @musetta3
I will be happy to share what I am working on!
I know, I know...its not done. I have been working on this since March. I am screaming at myself too. This is from The Heretic Prologue series and this one is smutty. :) Side note, also, I don’t know if I have posted this part already....
Be warned...it gets a little steamy!
My fists squeezed at the fabric of my trousers, no, I could prevent this. Another drop pummeled against the emptying board, skidding to the middle.
I hastily captured his bold Rook with my Queen, dragging her from E6 and forcing her to abandon the Bishop she protected, to strike a blow at Solas’s advance. She shielded her king, now commanding the place at H6.
“You are loyal, no doubt.” Solas observed softly.
“I do what I must.”
“As do I.” Solas traced his Bishop at E3 with his index finger before elevating it and depositing it at H6, my Queen fell to his ambition.
I went still, my gaze secured on his Bishop now threatening my king, and he had a wide open shot. The only thing I could think of was to further the pressure on his King and Queen, hoping to push him to defend them, and draw his attention away from my king. I nudged my Pawn from F3 from F2.
His Queen suspended my efforts as she captured my Pawn at F2. I closed my eyes and breathed in sharply, it worked, though I sacrificed my advancement.
I immediately knocked his Bishop from my King, replacing its now empty slot at H6, an eye for an eye.
Solas positioned his Queen to F4, nudging her ever closer to my King.
I ordered my King to retreat to G7, I expected him to give chase, but instead he set his sights on my pawn at C7. His Queen took flight above the board, only to land where my Pawn once stood.
I boxed in his Queen by placing my Rook at D7, if he wanted to be close, he would have to bear the brunt of my forces.
Solas commanded her retreat to E5, as he sensed my next course of action, his eyes flicked to my lonely King at G7.
My Bishop darted to F6 to block his advance to my king—suddenly, thunder clapped above us, and we awoke to reality.
A torrent of rain was unleashed upon us, the crowd scattered like ants under a foot, running for cover.
The barrage slapped against my skin and I sheltered my head under my arms as lightning split the clouds above.
Solas remained calm and extended his arm, offering me his hand.
I peered from under my arms and caught a glimpse of the mage, and a chill charged up my spine, knocking into every nerve that remained, the lightning silhouetted him in electric blue. Rain slithered along his jaw and ears, it dripped from his nose and full lips and glistened from his eyelashes. He was the most alluring creature I had ever seen.
I took his hand, and his palm folded over it firmly.
We were a blur of smoke and shimmering diaphanous figures, stretching over the courtyard as distance buckled beneath us. In an instant we were lodged under the sanctuary of the stone stairway leading to the battlements.
The cold stone dug into my back, his hand rested against the wall near my head, his chest lifting with every howling gale that tunneled through the framework of the battlements.
There it was, the look in his eye. I had seen it before in the war room. It had returned and it was blazing to new life as the lightning danced in his pupils. I barely had time to breathe before his lips were upon me. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he lifted me upwards, cushioning my weight with his thigh between my legs.
My teeth tugged on his lips, pleading for an escalation of our charged bodies’ close proximity, for the lightning dared not compare.
