So once upon a time I was reading a Solangelo fic, and it was part of a series simply titled "wsw 2021". And I puzzled over the meaning of "wsw". Obviously the first two letters were for Will Solace, but what about the last w? Wednesday? That doesn't make any sense. What the hell is it? Then I read the notes and it's like "for will solace week" and I go "I'm a dumbass".
So anyway this led to a headcanon that some campers celebrate "Will Solace Wednesday" to thank Will (and by extension the rest of his siblings) for his (their) work (Will Solace Wednesday just fits best, 'kay?). He has no idea this is happening. He just thinks Percy gifting him blue cookies is just a thing that happens sometimes. Nico and Jason (I'm a solangelace shipper btw) being extra loving and kinda affectionate? He doesn't know why but he loves it.
In conclusion, happy Will Solace Wednesday!!! Woooooo!!!

Solangelo Week Day 1
@solangeloweek
Day 1 Prompt: Throwback
I did some digging and found a solangelo week 2021 prompt of mythological creatures :)
Read on Wattpad
Words: 1990
Shutting the door behind him, Will makes his way through the village. Being sent out to the woods to retrieve healing herbs wasn’t an unusual task for him. He knows Lee is too busy running around treating all the common cold cases to go with him. (Sidenote: Lee and Michael are alive and well in this AU thank you very much.) He doesn’t mind though; the forest is peaceful. There’s enough space between each of the trees that sunlight easily shines through to the forest floor. The trees themselves appear to reach the sky; the section of woods near his village is said to be favored by the goddess Artemis. He reaches the end of the main pathway through the town; ducking down one of the side paths, he waves to a few people passing by. The sound of people talking dies down as he approaches the peace within the wooded area.
The sound of running water from a nearby spring and birds calling to each other are the only sounds other than Will’s footsteps. The greenery of the moss scales up the tree trunks and across any fallen logs or rocks. He stalks through the smaller vegetation along the ground, careful not to disturb the mushrooms. He makes his way through the foliage, carefulling picking out any plants that may be of any medicinal use. Sunlight reflects off the crown of his golden hair back into the sky; which matched the shade of his eyes that day. He makes his way through the woodland gathering plants to take back to the infirmary. He breeches the otherside; the farside of the forest stops short of a cliff overlooking the ocean. Will doesn’t know the reason behind the clearing, but is appreciative of it. It leaves a peaceful place to sunbask. He takes a few strides out, stopping short when seeing someone there.
A boy; with ivory skin, ink black hair, and coffee colored eyes… and wings. Feathered black wings on his back. The boy turns, startled by Will’s presence; both of their eyes are wide. Will’s nothing short of pure awe, his with alarm. “What are you?” Will breathes, amazement prominent in his tone. Others may have been scared, attempting to fight or run from this boy; although fighting him wouldn’t have been in their favor as he has a stygian iron sword strapped to his hip.
They’re both frozen as the sea breeze rustles across the ledge. Will’s words seem to have reached the ethereal boy, turning him defensive. He tucks his wings against his back to the best of his ability, his lips turn to a frown; regarding the golden boy standing in front of him. Will senses he’s hurt as he starts to turn away. “I can help.” He calls out. The boy freezes, pondering on how he could know that he’s wounded. He turns back to face the sunbeam, his expression changing from defensive to perplexed. He unfolds his right wing, revealing a gash across the middle. An invitation to heal Will doesn’t miss. He crosses the distance to him, slowing as he gets within armsreach. The pale boy hasn’t spoken; he eyes Will up, studying him now that he’s closer. He’s covered in freckles, they’re scattered artfully across the bridge of his nose onto his cheeks, down his neck, surely down his shoulders and back, although he tries not to let his thoughts linger too long on that. There’s more freckles on his arms, more than his face and neck combined. His eyelashes are a stark black to his bright complexion and eyes. His hair is a sun kissed golden tone, except at the very base, where it’s a darker brown, the same shade as his eyebrows: not an uncommon feature in blondes.
His expression softens now that he’s had the chance to thoroughly study Will, who stands a good heads-length over him. “Can I touch you?” He asks, treading carefully. He finds it will be easier to talk to this boy when he doesn't feel compelled to stare into his dark guarded eyes. He nods, opening his wing. Will crouches in front of him, breaking open the stem of a plant he collected. “You’re god-touched.” He observes, it’s hard to miss the wings.
“You’re a legacy of Apollo,” he replies. Most humans don’t have the gift of healing. Will chuckles a bit; rubbing the fluid from the plant stem onto the gash.
“Have you met him?” He asks, a playful undertone in his voice. Though he is curious.
“Can’t say I’ve had the pleasure,” the boy replies. Sarcasm outlines his words, Will chuckles.
“If I may ask, what’s your name?” Will inquires the god-boy.
“Nico,” he replies. He awkwardly shuffles his feet, not used to having someone this close to him, let alone touching him.
“I’m Will,” he offers, glancing up at him. Nico looks down at him, watching his hands use different plants to treat the cut on his wing. His hands are calloused, his fingertips send tingling sensations through his skin; ruffling his feathers. Nico stands in place, awkwardly rubbing his arm. Uncertain on whether he should try to make small talk with Will or not. “How’d you get cut?” Will asks, breaking their silence. He unfurls his wing a bit more as Will nears the other end of his wound.
“Fighting a monster,” he tells him. He looks alarmed.
“Was it venomous? Is it near here?” His voice is panicked; jerking away from Nico’s wing to stare up at him.
“No, it was pretty far away. This was just the safest place I knew to land.” Will settles, knowing that the boy hasn’t been poisoned.
“You flew with this?” He demands, jestering to the cut. Nico finds his scolding manner amusing, smirking to himself. Will’s attention already turned back to the cut, noticing how fresh it is. Blood makes the feathers around the wound sticky, a few are broken from the slash.
Will’s done all he can do, and stands. He steps back, turning his eyes back to Nico’s. The ravenette turns to his appendage, folding and flexing the muscle to check for any pain. Decidedly satisfied, he folds his wing against his back. Will’s eyes are still filled with the sight of his stunning black wings and almost asks him to see them again. “Thank you,” he states. Will smiles. Nico’s hesitant to leave the sunshine boy but doesn’t know how to talk enough to stay.
“It’s what I’m known for,” Will offers.
“You work as a healer then?” He asks; Will nods.
“Can- can I ask you some questions?” The blonde inquires. Nico nods, earning a small smile. He stalks to the ledge, overlooking the ocean, glancing back; inviting Will to follow. They sit at a respectable distance from each other. “Who are you descended from? Not that many gods have wings.” He states.
“Hades is my father,” he informs him. Usually this creates reactions of shock or fear, but Will seems perplexed.
“Hades doesn’t have wings,” he ponders aloud.
“Godly lineage doesn’t make a lot of sense,” Nico offers; Will accepts this answer after considering the fact that the brothers of Hades control the sky and oceans. “I’m not full god,” he tells him. “My mother was human, but it seems I’m immortal and retain god-like powers.” Will gazes at him as he speaks, studying him. Nico turns to him as he finishes explaining. “Can I ask you some questions?” Will seems taken aback but nods. “It’s clear that you have lineage of Apollo, but how much?” Will shrugs.
“He may be my father, but no one’s sure. My mother won’t say; I can only heal. I’m not exceptionally gifted at music or archery.” Will’s displeasure with his abilities is apparent; he stares down at his hands, looking mildly disgusted.
“Healing is a very helpful gift.” Nico tells him, his voice is tender in an attempt to soothe the boy beside him. “Are you an immortal?” He asks; once again, Will shrugs.
“Would I know?” He stares back at the pale boy, noticing how the sun reflects off his hair. He shakes his head, looking away.
“Not for awhile, maybe when you reach adulthood and realize you still look too young.” Will nods, turning to face the sea, the breeze rustles Nico’s feathers, he’s fanned them out a little more, relaxing a bit.
They sit together in silence, Nico kicks his legs off the rock the way a child would. Will watches his legs bounce off the stone; uncertain of what to say to the avian boy. He finally settles on something to say.
“How do you know about this place?” A smile flits across his lips.
“My friends and I come here, we like to fly off the cliff together. There’s a great windflow.” Will nods.
“Sounds like fun. Do they have wings like you?”
“No,” he replies. “One of them has a pegasi and the other can control winds.” The blonde nods again. “Do you live nearby?” Nico asks. The question offers an answer to how he knows about the place.
“Yeah, the village through the woods.” Will gestures turning behind him.
“Oh, the gods like that village. Very nice temples.” Will laughs. “I’ve never been, I hear it’s lovely.” There’s a slight sadness pulling his voice down. Will turns serious, frowning a bit.
“I wish you could see it,” he offers. There’s a comforting warmth in his voice. His words make Nico flush a pale pink. He jerks his face away; Will notices but remains silent. Nico stands, Will follows.
“You should probably get back.” Nico’s eyes gaze up at him, causing butterflies to swarm his stomach.
“Um, yeah.” He replies. Neither of them move. “Will I see you again?” He asks, Nico looks conflicted.
“If you’d like,” his voice is quiet; barely above a whisper. Will smiles.
“Three days? Same time? I can check on your wing again.” His excitement is clear but polite. Nico suppresses a smile, nodding. Will smiles down at him, his sky eyes bright with joy. He relents, finally allowing one unapologetic smile to be seen. It warms Will’s heart. Nico stares up as he lurches over the edge of the cliff. He opens his wings, catching a gust of wind; ascending in altitude he shoots back up before gliding off out over the ocean back to wherever he came from. Will watches the most beautiful boy he’s ever seen fly off; knowing that he’ll appear again like he agreed. He turns, trekking back through the forest.
Returning to the infirmary, Micheal sits inside, going through some files. “Hey Will,” the older boy looks up at him as he steps inside. “Get anything useful?” He looks at the content in Will’s hands before he can reply.
“Not much,” Will replies, handing him the plants.
“That’s odd,” he replies. “It just rained.”  Going over to a shelf, he organizes them all into their respective jars of the same species. Will takes the place beside where his brother previously was, beneath a large window.
“Yeah, I guess it’s too early. Nothing’s actually grown from the rain yet.” Will replies absentmindedly.
“That makes sense,” Michel mumbles under his breath. Will stares out the window up at the sky, neglecting to hear his brother’s words. His younger sister, Kayla, walks in; spotting Will. “Hey, how was it?” She asks, referring to the morning’s task of plant gathering.
“Interesting.” Will replies, gazing out the window up at the sky; the vision of an angelic winged boy filling his eyes.

don't talk to me or my emotional support dragon ever again
“Nico,” Will squeaked, flickering his gaze to meet his boyfriend’s eyes, “I need you to look me in the eye and tell me that you don’t have a baby dragon in your cabin right now,” as if that would change the reality that there was very much a baby dragon in Nico’s cabin.
“Are you okay with me lying to you?” Nico asked.
“No,” Will said.
“Then I can’t do that,” Nico stated.

when you kiss me (i wish we could see what happens next) (1/1)
summary: “We have a whole ceremony with rings and everything,” Percy explained. “It’s fun! And it’s also totally fake, which is why I can’t believe that Annabeth won’t just fake marry me already.”
Annabeth leveled Will with a challenging look. “If you were me, and he was Nico, would you do it?”

Will wasn’t quite sure what he’d walked into, but what he did know was that the mess hall was...well, a mess.
Just about every table was covered in... stuff that Will didn’t know how to describe in any other way, and there were mountains of cardboard boxes piled up throughout the room. Every counselor - besides Nico, who had walked in with Will and was still holding his hand - was already elbow deep in... stuff, whether they were seemingly sorting things into piles or stuffing garbage bags full.
Whatever they were doing, Will didn’t think it was going to be done in time for camp to start tomorrow.
“Uh, what’s going on?” Will asked, leaning down toward Nico’s ear.
“Think of it like spring cleaning,” Nico answered, “if nobody had bothered doing any cleaning since, like, the eighties.” He squeezed Will’s hand and started pulling him toward the kitchen, away from all of the mess. “C’mon, breakfast first. Then we can help.”

"Pick Your Fighter: Tater Trot or Will Solace?" - Solangelo - One-Shot
Summary: Nico tries to befriend a pegasus. This one is for the mythological creatures prompt for @solangeloweek !!
Word Count: 1745
Read on AO3
“Will, I don’t think this is a good idea.” Nico edges away from the pegasus, a nervous look flitting across his face as he does so. “Pegasi don’t usually like me.”
Will looks up at Nico, his hand momentarily freezing as he strokes the creature’s mane. A kind look overcomes his features when he notices his boyfriend’s reluctance. “I think it’s worth a try,” he says softly. “I know they don’t like you, but I don’t particularly like the idea of going on a chariot through the sky for a date, either. I don’t like how bumpy it gets.”
Nico huffs and crosses his arms. “Yeah, well, I don’t like feeling a horse’s hooves crashing against my chest when it’s kicking me away.”
Will chuckles and turns back to brushing the pegasus’ mane. “Has one actually done that to you?” he asks curiously.
“No, but I just know that if someone wasn’t around they’d probably try to throw me to the ground. They’re only nice to me when someone else is present.”
Will smiles and drops the brush to the ground, which thuds softly against the fiery green grass. Then he steps closer to Nico and takes one of his hands; as their fingertips touch, a spark of electricity races up both of their spines. Nico has to physically restrain himself from blushing, but Will lets the pink spill across his cheeks without regret.
“In that case,” murmurs Will, “you have me around. And I really want to take you up to the sky. New York City looks so pretty in the evening.” He leans in and pouts, and Nico can’t help the swelling of his heart at the sight of the blond’s expression. “Besides,” Will adds, “I think we deserve it after such a hectic week.”
Nico doesn’t argue with him. It’s only been one crazy thing after another, what with Nico’s mini quest to retrieve an item of Hermes’ and Will being stuck in the infirmary after a particularly eventful Capture the Flag game.
But Nico also isn’t excited to ride a pegasus. Heights make him nervous - what if Zeus immediately blasts him out of the sky? What if he falls and crashes to his death? He doesn’t exactly want his cause of death to be “ejection from a pegasus.”
Almost as if Will can sense his absurd thoughts, he smiles in amusement. “Nothing’s going to happen to you, Nico. I promise.” He turns his head to the creature, who is already glaring at Nico. A frown tugs at Will’s features when he notices the wariness that strangles the pegasus.
He faces Nico again and slips his hand into his boyfriend’s, using it to lead the two of them closer to the winged animal. Nico tries to drive his heels into the ground in an attempt to protest, but a wave of curiosity splashes over him. What if he really can get this pegasus to accept him? What if he really can gain another friend?
So he lets Will take him. The pegasus stares at Nico, its gaze turning fiery with anxiety, but it doesn’t move. Perhaps it’s just as interested in Nico as he is of it.
Will pauses in front of the pegasus’ line of sight, staring it down with a calm, relaxing gaze. He strokes his hand over its muzzle and smiles. Almost immediately, the creature melts under his warmth and turns its focus away from Nico.
But something releases in Will, too. His body curves into the pegasus, fitting in perfectly with the warmth of the creature’s body, and a dazed, faraway look overwhelms his eyes.
“You know,” Will whispers, talking almost as if to himself, “Silena used to be really good with pegasi. They used to love her. Any time she stepped into the stables horses would just turn her way and their wings would flap in excitement.”
Nico’s heart turns to lead at Will’s words. Despite the fact that her death had been so many years ago, just the mention of Silena’s name sends a crash of grief over him. He waits a moment to let the power of her very concept bloom and disintegrate in the air. Then, quietly, he says, “Yeah?”
Will nods, though a cloud of sadness arcs over his head. “She used to let me come with her to the stables. That’s where I learned to take good care of them.” A small sigh billows through his lips. His hand freezes its movement, and his gaze stretches into the forest, searching for something lost, trying to catch a hold of something he can’t reach anymore. “She saw beauty in a lot of creatures.”
A blanket of silence falls over the boys. Nico shifts hesitantly on his feet, and he considers holding his hand out to Will, just to tug him out of whatever spiral of emotions he’s found himself in.
But before Nico makes a move, Will turns his gaze back to him. His blue eyes glimmer dazedly, but nevertheless, he forces a wavering smile over his mouth. He’s awfully good at that. “I was scared, too, you know. When I first started hanging out with them.” Will chews his bottom lip thoughtfully. “I know you and I have different experiences, and I know pegasi don’t like you because of your whole death thing, but… I don’t know. Maybe I can help you a little. I’ll use things Silena taught me.”
Nico winces with uncertainty. “I don’t know, Will. I just don’t want to feel bad.”
Will holds his hands up in surrender. “Hey, it’s up to you. But who knows. Maybe you can convince this one that you’re harmless.”
Nico considers Will’s words. He looks at the pegasus nervously, who stares right back at him as if wondering the same thing: Can we really learn to trust each other?
Something in Nico’s heart urges him to push forward, to make a move. He locks eyes with Will again, and in a moment of understanding, the blond smiles triumphantly.
“Here.” Will pulls Nico closer, and despite his nervousness, Nico allows him to be urged forward. Will takes Nico’s hand and raises it up to the pegasus’ muzzle - not quite touching, but close enough so that Nico’s fingers simmer with the heat of the creature. Will bows his head closer to his boyfriend’s ear and whispers, “Just try to touch it gently.”
A wild look of anxiety sparks in the pegasus’ dark eyes, but there’s something determined there, too. It’s just as curious as Nico is to see if they can be friends.
Hesitance seethes in the air between Nico’s fingers and the fur of the creature. Time stills as the human and the pegasus watch each other in anticipation.
Then Nico touches the muzzle. The winged animal’s eyes flash with surprise, then melt into a puddle of obsidian softness. After a beat of reluctance, Nico finds himself drowning under the softness of the pegasus’ body. All the tension, all the anxiety that writhed within him just seconds before completely evaporates, and he’s left with only a sense of ease. Warmth encompasses his chest as he explores this new friend before him.
He runs his fingers up and down over the pegasus’ forehead, and Will lets go of his hand. Nico overflows with a certain giddiness at the realization that this majestic creature is admitting its trust to him.
Maybe he can trust it, too.
Behind him, a low laugh tumbles into his ears. Nico nearly jumps; he was almost convinced he and the winged creature were alone in the wild, but apparently they had company.
Nico turns his gaze momentarily to Will’s blue eyes. A smile flickers on the blond’s face, and a confused expression reflects across Nico’s own features. “What?” he asks, puzzled. “Why are you laughing?”
“Nothing,” whispers Will, though the sparkle in his eyes says otherwise. “It’s just that… I told you so. You’ve made a friend!”
Nico scoffs and rolls his eyes, though a small smile still cracks against his lips. “Whatever, nerd.”
Will shifts behind him, but Nico doesn’t care to turn and find out what he’s doing. He’s too busy brushing his fingers over the face of his new acquaintance, curious as to the creature’s history. It’s another few moments until Nico feels Will’s presence behind him, and he turns his eyes back to his boyfriend.
Will offers a soft smile when Nico looks at him. A golden eyebrow arches gracefully against his forehead. “Are you ready to go? I think you’ve proved your trustworthiness to this pegasus.”
Nico considers Will’s question. His body hums with a warm excitement, and a cool, comforting breeze brushes against the back of his neck.
He feels good right now. He feels at home.
When Nico turns his gaze up, he finds a golden hue threatening the blue sky; the sun begins to drown under the weight of the incoming night. If they want to leave, they’d better do it now.
Nico sighs. A comforting quiet surrounds them, filled only with the new chirping of crickets and the sound of Nico’s breathing.
After a beat of silence, the son of Hades whispers, “What’s its name?”
Will frowns. “I’m not sure if we have a name yet. I think she’s a new one.”
A new excitement overwhelms Nico’s heart, and he looks at Will elatedly. “Can I call her something, then?”
Will shrugs and laughs. “Sure, I guess.”
Nico frowns in concentration as a cacophony of names ring in his head. Various Italian names, Greek names, even names of simple objects flit across his mind, but nothing feels quite right yet.
It isn’t until after a few moments that something finally clicks. A smile slips over Nico’s mouth. “How about Tater Trot?” he suggests to Will.
The blond snorts. “That sounds kinda stupid.”
“I don’t know,” Nico murmurs in dissent. “Let’s see how she likes it.”
In response, the pegasus huffs in agreement, and Nico turns to offer a grin to his boyfriend. “Looks like she’s into it. Tater Trot it is.”
Will rolls his eyes. “All right, whatever. Are you ready to go?”
Nico strokes his hand once more down his new friend’s muzzle, then nods his head at Will. “Let’s go, then. This view better be as pretty as you tell me it is, or else I’m going to leave you for the horse.”
Will laughs and throws an arm around Nico. “Guess things just got serious between you two.”

Will as the Eleventh Doctor and Nico as his companion!
Tumblr media
(I have revisited drawing lately and I’m kinda nervous about this but I’ve been considering a Doctor Who AU for a while (because first and foremost, I am a Doctor Who nerd) so I decided to draw it instead of write it! I’m not super happy with it but I’ve been altering it for days so I decided I just needed to stop, but I hope you like it!)
