Day 4: Family meeting
Will entered the front door of his house to the sound of many people talking all at once. He left his stuff by the entrance and walked to their home office, where all the noise was coming from. The door was wide open and arguing was evident.
“Will, you’re late.” Reyna exclaimed mid-argument with Rachel who was sitting next to her. Hazel was sitting on a chair next to Nico who looked like he needed someone to back him up.
“Hello to you, too, Reyna. What am I late for?” He asked as after his 12 hour shift at the hospital, he just wanted to shower and sleep and not put up with riddles and puzzles.
“Didn’t you tell him?” Rachel questioned his husband this time. In the meantime, Will sat down as he found the whole situation very amusing although tiring.
“I kind of have forgotten you would all show up here.” Nico said. Then, he turned to Hazel. “I knew you were coming; I never forget you.”
Rachel and Reyna both glared at him before they continued talking. “We’re here to decide what to get Bee, Ryder and Jasmine for Christmas.” Rachel explained.
Will immediately felt touched that their friends were so close to their kids, but at the same time he was sure they had to come all this way for gifts. “You shouldn’t have. You don’t have to get them anything or stress too much about it.”
“That’s what I’ve been telling you for the past thirty minutes.” Nico came to his side. He liked the fact that they were always on the same side when it came to raising their children.
“We didn’t come to ask for you permission. I know you have three letters addressed to Santa and I am going to make sure that they get every single on them.” Hazel said nonchalantly. Will smiled as Hazel seemed the most harmless out of the three, but still she was the one who could get her way.
“Don’t smile like that.” Nico whispered to him as he was sure he was going to agree with their friends.
“I give up. I’ll bring the letters.” He said.
“They are right here.” Rachel raised them from the desk. Of course they had already brought the letters. “Should we start?”
“Sure.” Nico said, giving up himself.
“Bianca wants-“
“Dibs on the Princess Castle.” Reyna said before Rachel finished he phrase.
“You don’t what it says.”
“Oh, please. I know my goddaughter.” She replied. “I’m buying it.”
“I think we should write everything down. Like who gets what and everything.” Hazel said and got up to get some paper.
“Hazel-“ Nico tried to talk but Rachel gave him the letters.
“We’re here to help you out. Tell us what you’re planning on buying them.”
“We bought the dolls Bianca wanted and the doll she chose for Jasmine, the dollhouse and the build-a-bear. My mum is getting her the guitar and Ryder’s car. Cecil is getting Ryder, the basketball hoop he wants, but we haven’t decided anything else.”
“Why did Cecil get to pick before us?” Rachel asked.
“Because he was with Ryder when he saw it.” Nico explained. “Let’s continue, Bianca’s painting kit.”
“That’s obvious.” Rachel said. “I can get the books I saw there too.”
“Ryder asked for Star Wars lego sets and I quote “Bianca’s Yoda.”
“Write me down.” Hazel proposed.
“There’s nothing else. That’s it. Again, you really don’t have to, but thank you.” Nico said.
“It’s not a big deal. I get a big pay check and I have nowhere to spend it. You’re doing me a favour. And obviously I’m buying more for them.” Reyna said smiling, but before anyone could insist she got up, “I’m going to pick up Bianca from her ballet lesson. Rachel are you joining me?”
“For sure. See you later.”
“You’re staying for dinner.” Nico stated as his sister got up as well. “Where are you going?”
“I’ll go find Frank at Percy and Annabeth’s. Reyna is not the only one meeting her godchildren while in New York.” Hazel said and smiled as she closed the door behind her.
“We’re so lucky to have them.” Will exclaimed.
“Couldn’t have done it without them.”

Why do they grow up so fast?
Hope you enjoy and us always my prompt list is pinned and the ask box always open <3
Annabeth woke up to the sound of her alarm. She quickly turned it off and nudged Percy. "Percy, wake up, we have to leave in 30 minutes." Percy groaned and put the pillow on his head. Charlie and Zoe climbed on their bed around three am and neither Percy nor Annabeth had the strength to get them back to their rooms. None of the three had any intentions to get out of the bed. “Waffles are waiting downstairs," Annabeth said.
In an instant, Zoe opened her eyes. “Good morning, mummy.” She reached out to Annabeth. “I am going to preschool today, did you know?”
“I know, munchkin. Do you want to help me out?” She asked her daughter. Zoe nodded in agreement. “Can you wake up Charlie and dad?”
Zoe started jumping on her brother. “Charlie! Wake up! We are going to preschool today.” Charlie groaned and got out of the bed. Then Zoe kissed Percy on the cheek. “Daddy, I am going to preschool today” She announced.
Percy finally woke up. “Let’s go get ready then, Zo.” Zoe started jumping from her excitement. Percy lifted her up and she started giggling. “You put your little helper to wake me up, didn’t you?” He smiled at Annabeth.
“I had to pull the extreme measures.” She kissed him and they got downstairs. While the rest were eating Annabeth got Theo from his crib and got him dressed for daycare.
Ten minutes later Percy was watching Disney junior with Zoe and Charlie. Annabeth grabbed the remote and closed it. "Are you ready? We have to leave if you want to go to preschool."
They both ran upstairs and took with them their backpacks. "Percy, can you bring Theo’s diaper bag?" She shouted to Percy who was still upstairs. He came downstairs with Theo in the one hugging and on the other hand Theo’s diaper bag.
Charlie and Zoe were waiting patiently at the door. "Are we ready for preschool?" Percy asked them.
“Of course we are ready, daddy. We are waiting for you!” Zoe pouted.
Five minutes later they were in the car. Zoe was staring out of the window trying to spot her new school; Theo was sleeping, and Charlie was watching Paw Patrol on Annabeth’s iPad. As soon as they arrived Zoe and Charlie ran to their new class without waiting for their parents.
The preschool was doing an orientation for the parents, so they followed their kids. “Are you okay?” Percy asked Annabeth as he could tell that something was wrong with her expression.
"Percy, I don’t want them to grow up too fast. They are in preschool. Then they’ll go to kindergarten, then to primary, then middle school, high school and before we know it they are leaving us."
He put his hand around her. "It's not like they are leaving anytime soon. They will eventually but they just learned to go to the bathroom last summer. I think we have some time left.”
“I can’t wait for Zoe to start dating.” Annabeth joked.
“No boys.” Percy got confused and a tiny bit flustered.
“I didn’t say that she is going to date boys.”
“No boys or girls,” Percy replied which caused Annabeth to burst out laughing.
They helped Zoe and Charlie settle and then a teacher showed them a separate room for them to wait along with other parents.
“You’re late. We have been here for the past 10 minutes.” Nico said to them as soon as they sat down next to him.
“Hey! We have two toddlers to get ready in the morning,” Percy mentioned.
“How was it letting her go?” Annabeth asked him.
“Still in denial. Will says that he is outside waiting for Chris and Clarisse, but I am sure he is looking at Bianca.”
“Wait. Why is Clarisse coming?”
“They moved her to New York.”
“Still in the army?”
“First lieutenant. Got promoted last August.” Nico said.
“Since when you know everything about Clarisse’s life?” Percy asked.
“Will is Silena’s godfather. We keep in touch. Any other questions detective Jackson?”
Percy was about to reply when Will walked inside with Chris and Clarisse. “You better get Will out of here before he decides that Bianca is too young for preschool,” Clarisse mentioned to Nico.
“I was just saying that she could come in a month or so. I am still up for-.” Will said but Nico cut him.
“We talked about it in the car. She wants to go to preschool, as she wants to start ballet and piano. If you do anything stupid I’ll lock you in the car." Nico warned him. While they were driving to preschool earlier that morning Will decided to take a wrong turn so Bianca didn’t have to go to preschool.
“When she leaves for college please call me.” Clarisse laughed.
“Like you’re going to be any better,” Will argued.
“I am a very chill person actually. It’s the circle of life.” Chris snorted which made Clarisse stare irritated at his side. “Any problem?”
“No,” he continued laughing.
Then the bell rang, and two middle-aged women came into the room. “We would like to welcome you all to our first day in New Athens’ preschool.”
