They’re confused as hell as to why you, their companion, loved this damn cookie out of all things. They knew Sorbet Shark as they swam in his tropical isles, but damn they didn’t exactly realize how close you were to him.

Like a father you were, taking him things like fresh fruit and sweet potatoes.

Soon, Ananas began to walk by the seashore at night to see Sorbet Shark Cookie. He would approach the mighty dragon with slight hesitation, unsure about their unusual presence.

“Uhm… hey little… shark… cookie thing.”

“OoooOoO?”

“I can’t fucking understand you.”

They suddenly realized that Sorbet Shark was more than just a plain ass shark, because in return for some sweet potatoes, they preformed tricks in the water for Ananas Dragon. Not like they’ve seen this before, he’s been around for centuries.

But at Sorbet’s young age… that was truly interesting. They would often look to Sorbet Shark in amusement, cracking a smile at times while seeing the young shark pup preform in the tropical isles.

You would often come along after Ananas would tell you about these performances that Sorbet Shark would give him.

“Bruh give him a sweet potato.”

“I already gave them one, why would they need-“

“Man. Another one. This little cookie is fuckin cook as fuck. They even know the isles well despite almost never flowing through here, it’s almost like he’s one of them GPS things you cookies have.”

Then you started to realize that Ananas was growing fond of Sorbet Shark, but only for the fact the they were talented in the water. They wanted to adopt Sorbet Shark as nothing more than a trophy child. This made you upset.

That wouldn’t be fair to Sorbet. After all they can’t even speak coherent sentences.

You delivered this concern to Ananas, as a proud father figure would, despite you being slightly worried about what they would say back. They don’t like being denied of, nor contradicted.

After your little talk however, they were definitely more understanding, despite their stubborn nature at first.

“Treat them like a normal kid, yeah? They don’t need to be paraded around like a damn item.”

“Yeah yeah, I know, little cookie. I know… insert dramatic sigh and 👁️👄👁️ here.”

It does take them a bit, but soon he grows just as protective of Sorbet Shark as you, their guy friend. They grow to be like an uncle to Sorbet Shark, as they would feed them out at night when the sun set. They protected him just like they would their own island, as Sorbet Shark now inhabited it.

And anything on their island, no matter the size or significance, is precious to them.

So I was thinking about Ovenbreak continuing the “Dark Choco and Chess Choco facing the dragons” storyline (which I thought was supposed to be them defeating the Dragons, but rewatching the cutscene DE says to “approach” the dragons, so I’m not sure what that means), which seems at least somewhat more plausible given all the Ovenbreak updates so far this year have been continuations or additions to previous storylines/locations. I now know more about how these Ovenbreak updates work since I last mentioned this whole thing, and that in this hypothetical update, we’d get introduced to at least one new Cookie, possibly two, and I feel like more likely they’ll be the main characters that have some alignment with the dragons that’ll be fighting against the Chocos

All this to say, I really hope these hypothetical new characters, along with what dragon they deal with, isn’t Pitaya. Listen, I just want any more Dragon’s Valley cookies. I get they seem to be popular, and from what it sounds Pitaya makes the most sense, but we already have more than enough, and heck, we already got a Dragon’s Valley update this year, I just don’t really want more

Though I suppose I’m not sure what other dragon you’d do. I only say Ananas because I feel like there’s not much content for them, but that’s probably also because I haven’t been around for an update of theirs. But I mean hey, why not have it be some Tropical Soda Island characters? Honestly I don’t feel like we have a lot of characters from there. Outside of the dragons I think it’s just Mango and Rambutan (and I suppose Sorbet Shark but I think they’re more associated with pirates and the sea). So why not?
