Tumblr media
The antis have been all over my posts in the last few days, so I wanted to share my experiences and write a guide on how to deal with them.
First off: Our ships and character preferences are valid, no matter how hard some people try to demonize them. We are part of fandom and allowed to post about the things we enjoy, just like everyone else. Our fanfics, fanart, video edits, photo edits, etc. are all works of love and they deserve to exist and be explored by others.
✨ Strategies for dealing with antis ✨
Don’t engage. I have checked the bios of all the antis that left comments under my posts, and the majority of them are minors. You don’t want to talk to minors in fandom spaces!! And a conversation based on logic or reason won’t be possible either.
Delete their comments. Tumblr, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube allow you to delete comments, DO IT!! You created something with love and hateful comments have no place underneath it. Even if the comment just makes you uncomfortable and isn’t outright hateful, it is perfectly reasonable to delete it for your own sanity.
Block generously. Not only the people who target you specifically but also anyone who engages in character- or ship-bashing. People who do that for one ship will do it for other ships too and it’s extremely bad fandom etiquette. When you see a character or ship-bashing post, block everyone who liked it and then the poster.
Report people for harassment. The rules vary by site, but especially threats of violence should be reported. Also, if someone follows you to another social media site after you’ve blocked them, that is called block evading and you should report that too.
When you see other people getting hateful comments underneath their posts, leave a nice comment to offset some of the negativity. Your being supportive can make the difference between this person never posting again and them being motivated to keep going. People are always welcome to send me links to a post that is getting targeted by antis and I’ll like it and leave a nice comment. 🥰
Don’t let the bad comments outshine the positive ones! Every time my post gets enough traction for antis to find it, it also gets lots of lovely reactions. Many people have told me that my content and recommendations made them ship my OTP, and that is the single thing that makes me happier than anything else. Take a screenshot and look at these kinds of comments when you feel down. This is the real reason you should keep posting.
Most hate comments are exceptionally uncreative. It helps to laugh about it, preferably with a friend. ✨ Remember, you used your energy to create something and you should be proud of it!
When you see a creator you like, but they also display obnoxious behavior towards people who like other ships, characters, or dynamics, at the very least don’t give them a platform by sharing their posts.
Stay safe. Don’t post personal information online.
It’s completely valid to step away from social media for some time. Private your accounts, turn off notifications, do a canon reread, read some fanfics in peace. Whatever it takes to remind you why you love the things you love.
Bonus Tip: Watch videos of cute animals to destress. Bunnies nose-booping each other can (and will) cure anti-induced anxiety. :)
✨ Platforms sorted by least to most toxic and my advice for using them ✨
1. Discord
Discord is great because you can join servers specifically for your favorite characters and ships. If a server doesn’t already exist, consider setting one up! Pro tip: only invite people that have positively interacted with you in the past. A small server consisting of nice people is a lot more fun than a large server consisting of members that can’t get along or are only marginally interested in the topic.
Fandom Discord servers have clear guidelines on what you can post. As long as you follow the rules, people have no grounds for calling you out. In my experience, moderators are quick to respond to harassment.
When you join a server and you see they heavily restrict certain types of content, it is a red flag. Proceed with caution, even if you plan to only talk about “safe” characters and ships.
2. Tumblr
I have rarely gotten hateful comments on Tumblr, and the few times I did they were easy to delete.
A lot of the older fandom generations use Tumblr and they are more mature and accepting of all kinds of content.
3. Twitter
Twitter makes it easy to curate your own fandom experience. You can mute words you don’t like to see on your timeline, mute and block users, and most people have their ship preferences in their bio.
4. Instagram
My Instagram posts about Jadecest get a lot of positive interaction, even more than on Twitter. There are unpleasant comments once in a while, but they are easy to delete.
Blocking a user will delete all their comments from your posts.
5. YouTube
People who don’t like your ship will downvote your videos and downvotes lead to the algorithm not recommending your videos.
I have gotten a few negative comments, but they are easy to delete.
6. Reddit
When you post in a fandom subreddit, everyone will see the post, independent of their ship preferences.
There are a lot of minors on Reddit.
You can’t delete comments.
Most fandom subreddits are poorly moderated.
7. TikTok
I have gotten the most hate comments on TikTok. They can be filtered or deleted, but antis interacting with your video by leaving hate comments will lead to the algorithm recommending your content to even more antis. It can get very ugly.
If you post on TikTok consider turning off comments, stitches, and video replies. You can also mark your content as 18+, so it won’t get recommended to minors. (Again, antis tend to be underage.)
Platforms are more toxic the more they show your content to people outside your bubble. Discord, Tumblr, and Twitter keep your content relatively well contained to your circle of friends. Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram heavily promote your content outside your bubble, which is good, because more people are going to see it, but also bad, because it reaches more antis.
~~~
Antis are loud and obnoxious, but it’s important to remember that they are a minority. Ship and let ship still exists, especially among the people who have been in fandom spaces for more than just a few years. Don’t be afraid to post your content and express your love for your favorite characters and ships! I, for one, would love to see your creations, and many other people would love to see them too.
What are your experiences and strategies for dealing with antis?
Rumour Has It
Charles Leclerc x Reader
Maybe Summer Doesn’t Have To End
Summary: The aftermath of being papped and seeing what the fans are saying.
Warnings: smoking, body issues
A/N Kept this shorter as didn’t want to take away from the moment
Tumblr media
As always reblogs and feedback is highly appreciated ❤️ if you want tagging in future parts let me know ❤️
Ever since the girls flew home you had hardly been on social media, in fact you only really used your phone to check in with Rena and take pictures. You want to live in the moment making memories rather than hide behind the screen. It had been a nice break seeing as your phone was normally glued to your hand. You had posted a couple of photos of the scenery but that was it.
Seeing Rena’s face pop up on the screen made you panic, she always texted but never called. Accepting the incoming facetime you propped your phone up on the dresser smiling at her as you grabbed your makeup bag.
“Hey.” you smiled.
“How are you so calm?” she asked, eyes wide at your chilled out state.
“I feel like you had part of this conversation without me.” you laughed, raising your brow at her. “You are going to have to elaborate for me sis.”
Her expression changed from shocked to excited to confused in a matter of seconds.
“Okay,” she breathed, running her hand over her face before she grabbed her ipad, spinning it around so you could see the screen. Squinting at your phone you still couldn’t see what she was showing you. “You are all over instagram and TikTok.”
Her statement caused you to freeze. You had so many questions, you hadn’t posted anything about you and Charles on any of your social media platforms.
Rena could see the confusion radiating off you causing her to smirk. “Someone has put your scenery pics together with Charles’ and the whole fanbase has gone into detective mode.” she laughed, throwing her ipad onto the bed. “Then last night someone spotted you and Charles together, when you were on the beach and the internet has blown up. A lot of the titles are rumours.”
Taking a breath you took a moment to process the information you had been given. You never really thought about that side of having a fling with Charles, even though it was bound to happen eventually.
Your head started to spin as Rena kept saying all the headlines and comments she had found. Dropping your makeup brush on the counter you spotted a crumpled cigarette packet sticking out of your makeup bag, reaching for the cardboard you flipped the lid up finding one cigarette laying in the carton, albeit a little crushed. Silently you picked your phone up along with the cigarette, completely zoned out on what your older sister was telling you as you fumbled around looking for a lighter, it didn’t take long for you to find one and quickly slip out onto the balcony.
“What am I going to do Rena?” You sighed, lighting the cigarette taking a long drag. “I got a call yesterday morning from Ferrari for a phone interview whilst we were at his mums.” Taking another drag of the cig you exhaled watching the smoke dance in the light breeze. “Char doesn’t know I applied for the job let alone got a phone interview. What if he thinks I’m just using him to get the position?”
“You need to speak to him.” She hummed, trying to calm you down.
“I can’t Re, especially if I don’t get the job then I’m getting both of our hopes up.” You whispered, taking another drag of the smoke. The tears that you tried to hold back spilled over your lash line, rolling down your cheeks. “I’m not cut out for this, I’m just a normal girl from the UK.”
That’s when you made the fatal mistake of swiping up on your screen causing Rena’s face to shrink to the top corner of the page. You instantly went onto Instagram seeing your followers had shot up. Ignoring the number you went onto your notifications scanning through some of the comments on your older photos.
Who is she?
Where did she come from?
You aren’t good enough for Charles.
It’s weird seeing him with someone that isn’t a model.
More tears rolled down your cheeks as you swapped onto Charles’ page, reading the same sort of comments along with plenty of nice comments.
You needed to see the photo that had been circulating the internet so you swapped onto google and searched Charles name and soon enough a picture of the two of you wrapped up in each other’s arms appeared on your screen. You couldn’t see your face that well in the picture but what you could see was exactly how Charles looked at you, which settled your racing heart a little.
“You’re reading the comments aren’t you?” Rena sighed, running her hand over her face. “Look you just gotta try your best to ignore them okay.”
“Easier said than done,” you sniffled, clicking on your sister's face making it go full screen again. “It just brings back memories of him. You know how bad he tore me down, especially about how I looked.”
“But he was a complete jackass, Charles isn’t like him. I’ve seen the way he looks at you.” Rena said softly. “You know I don’t believe in soul mates but when I look at you and Charles that all changes. You two are meant to be together.”
Letting out a heavy breath you hummed. “Yeah but we only have a week left together.”
“Who says you only have a week? Yes I know you two were having a bit of fun over his summer break but it’s evolved from that now.” Rena smiled, trying to lighten the mood. “If it’s meant to be, which I think this is the real deal, then you two will make it work once the season kicks off again.”
Before you could speak you heard the sliding door open signalling that Charles was coming out. Glancing over your shoulder you saw he was holding two mugs in his hand.
“I will leave you two to talk.” Rena said softly. “Things will be okay, promise.”
Charles placed the mugs on the table before wrapping his arms around your shoulders. “You’ve been crying.” He whispered, squeezing you tight before moving to crouch in front of you. “Talk to me.”
“I wasn’t built for this life, Char.” You whispered, tears once again threatening to fall. “We got papped yesterday and your fans have figured out something is going on.” You breathed, playing with Charles’ fingers. “Some of the comments.” You said trailing off. “What are people going to say when I fly home at the end of the week?”
You couldn’t hold the tears back anymore as you started to sob as your insecurities took hold. Charles instantly pulled you against his chest, running his hand up and down you back trying to soothe you.
“People are going to think I used you for fame or to better my life. I applied for a job before we came away, don’t know if I will get it but I don’t want you to think I used you to get it.” You sobbed, clutching the material of his hoodie.
“S'il te plait ne pleure pas mon ange. Please don't cry, angel.” He whispered, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. “Everything is going to be okay, I promise.” His voice was quiet as he spoke, the sound of your sobs tugging at his heart.
The soft sound of his voice was like a comfort blanket as he quietly sang something in French. You knew what he was doing, he was trying to distract you from the world of social media and it was working. Once he was happy that your crying had stopped he pulled away allowing him to see your face, his fingers gently wiping away your tears.
“What’s the job you applied for?” He hummed, brushing his fingers through your hair.
“I don’t want to say in case I don’t get it.” You said quietly, your voice still shaky as you spoke. “But it’s always been my dream to work with this company.”
“You need to have faith in yourself,” Charles grinned, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “You will get it, I know you will.”
A comfortable silence washed over the pair of you as Charles moved you onto the outdoor sofa, before moving the coffees and climbing behind you so you were now sitting in between his legs.
“I’m sorry,” you mumbled, holding the mug in your hands. You felt extremely vulnerable right now and slightly embarrassed that you let yourself get into a state. “For getting myself worked up.”
“Sweetheart, you have nothing to be sorry for.” Charles whispered, pressing another kiss to the back of your head. “I know how hard it can be to not let the comments get to you.” He hummed, pausing to try and find the right words. “People are just jealous of what you have, jealous of your beauty.”
His words brought more tears to your eyes, your heart fluttered as he spoke. For years you spent being degraded and beaten down so this was a foreign feeling.
“Je n'ai jamais rencontré quelqu'un de plus beau.” He breathed against your ear, his lips brushing against your skin causing you to shiver. “I have never met anyone more beautiful,” he repeated, running his fingers down your arm. “Do you trust me?”
“With my life.” You nodded, finding a smile creeping on your face. “It’s crazy I’ve never felt like this with anyone, especially not this quickly.”
“I want to put a post on Instagram.” He breathed, his fingers still dancing across your skin. “With your permission of course. I know this was meant to be a fling but maybe it doesn’t have to be, maybe we can make it work.”
Taking a deep breath you nodded. “Do the post.”
Charles pulled his phone out of his pocket, opening up the camera and hit record.
“I’ve seen the comments regarding the recent pictures that have emerged about me and a special lady in my life. Some of them are disgusting. You need to remember people have feelings too, your words can affect them in ways you wouldn’t know.” He said, adjusting the grip on his phone. “Faites de meilleures personnes, soyez gentil et réfléchissez avant de parler. Do better people, be kind and think before you speak.”
Glancing over your shoulder you saw him snap a selfie with a huge grin on his face before lowering his phone, tapping away at the screen and moments later your phone buzzed signalling the notification of him posting. Instantly you felt your cheeks heat up as you never told him you have notifications turned on for when he posted.
“You are so fucking cute.” He hummed, wrapping his arms around you, pressing a kiss against your cheek.
Picking your phone up you went onto his page to see what he had posted. The image of his smiling face appeared on your screen. Hitting the translate button on the caption your heart skipped a beat.
Elle me rend si heureux
She makes me this happy
“Char,” you breathed, spinning around so you were facing him, resting your hands on his cheeks. “I don’t want this to end.”
“Neither do I darling,” he breathed, leaning forward resting his forehead against yours. “But maybe it doesn’t have to end, let’s not stress about the future right now I just want to focus on this moment.
Without saying a word you closed the gap between the two of you, pressing your lips against his in a kiss that pretty much stopped your heart, sending shocks of electricity through your skin.
The comments and the fear of being papped are a distant memory.
I hope this question doesn't come off as cynical, but in recent years has there ever been a Christine that people didn't like? What I mean is, it seems like everyone is always praising the current/recent christines, whereas less recent christines face more criticism online. Is it that there has been better casting recently, or because people are less ready to criticize when they know there's more of a chance the actors could see it with such a connection between platforms these days? I just know that I've had some less than fantastic thoughts on some of the recent christines (nothing terrible, but disliking prominent aspects enough to expect other people to maybe acknowledge it) and I can't tell if its just me being too harsh towards great performers or if other people are just not as vocal about their opinions anymore
If you want to know my honest answer? COVID-19. Go one and a half years or more without theater and suddenly everyone and everything will look good to you, or you're at least willing to give things more leeway knowing that actors have to deal with various restrictions.
And yes, the quarantine is now a good couple years away, but we're still seeing the ramifications today. (Seriously, take it from a teacher - boy are there ramifications.) Heck, it's led to at least one major change in the Phantom status quo: the closing of the Broadway production. One of the flagship productions is just gone, one that I think many of us took for granted and always expected to be around, and I do think that's the kind of thing that will create a seismic shift in conversation: again, sometimes we're just so dang grateful that other productions are around, we're willing to spare them criticism that we might have given in previous years.
That's not to say that's that the only reason why criticism seems less prevalent or vocal; I do think that there are other reasons, some of which you mentioned. Social media is certainly one thing, especially as the productions cast younger and younger (or we get older and older), which means more and more actors that are active on the Internet. That can lead to more muted criticism, partially out of fear of them finding it, yes, but I think also because people start to conflate the actors' real life personalities with their acting, e.g. maybe this Phantom isn't that great but he's so lovable on Instagram and TikTok that it's difficult to critique him as severely as others. More inclusive casting could also be a factor: maybe so-and-so productions isn't great or maybe that's a piss poor piece of direction, but damn it, we have a black Christine and a black Raoul after literal decades of lily white casting and we're just so grateful for that crumb that we'll bite our tongues.
And also, maybe sometimes people just genuinely think those people are great, and they tend to be more vocal than others! Maybe these people are great! (Well, you never know. I've personally liked almost all of the casts I've seen so far.) Maybe you just have a difference of opinion with the majority, that happens too! Maybe you're not looking in the right spots! (I've definitely seen criticisms of multiple Phantoms, Christines, and Raouls, from a variety of productions, in various parts of the Internet.) Maybe some of us are just tired. (That's me right now - critiquing is hard, saying negative things, even if truthful, can be hard, and sometimes I just want to say, "Good voice, good acting, got the job done, leave me alone").
But even when I look at these things, you know what still stands out as the dividing line to me? COVID-19. So that's going to be my answer for now... but ask me again in two years and we'll see what's happened then.
It really sucks being afraid to speak to people because I don't know how they are going to react if I let it slip out that I am Jewish and Israeli.
I don't know if I will get support or attacked (not necessarily physically, but verbally). I can't express my feelings about the situation my people and family are in, but can only listen to others and try to insert facts as carefully as possible...
Watching how Jews are being singled out and harassed by Pro-Palestinian protesters makes me nervous about revealing I am Jewish.
And sometimes the support from others is nice, but it can lead to vitriolic sentiment from non-Jews and non-Israelis which I also don't want.
I don't want innocent civilians dead. But I support Israel defending itself against Hamas who uses innocents as shields. But there is no way to have a civil conversation about it.
Not when I have seen people, even on this platform, say "Tear down those 'Kidnapped by Hamas' posters, because fuck Israel!" because they support innocent civilian Palestinians, but will not support innocent civilian Israelis. And they don't see how fucked up that is.
They don't see that months ago, when talking about right wing politics they used phrases like, "If Nazis are marching with you, maybe you're the bad guy." But don't see that at Pro-Palestinian marches there are Nazi flags and antisemitic shouts and cries from the people among them should make them question who is arranging and attending these protests.
There's so much I see, and I don't feel safe. I never fully felt safe. I have faced enough antisemitism in my life when people have found out I was Jewish, that I always knew it was around. Added bonus for being born in Israel. But seeing how people have been so vicious, spreading lies and propaganda from Hamas without ever researching it or actually looking into anything - going so far as to say things like Oct. 7th never happened and there are no hostages, even though Hamas has proven itself that it has done all the horrible things and will continue to do so - and will believe Hamas' lies about Israel even when proven to be false... How can I trust anyone?
I don't scroll through Instagram anymore because it makes my stomach tense, hoping I won't see something posted that is a lie or pushing an idea that will only make things worse. And its hard to scroll through Tumblr because suddenly there is "Fuck Israel!"
I know there are people who understand what it's like to not feel safe in the world... To worry where an attack may come from. To worry when someone is going to say something that is messed up or fucked up around you - especially if they don't know who or what you are. It's a constant tension. I low level always had it because it happens to me from time to time, but there is no where safe. Not even online. And I could unfollow people, but I don't want to isolate myself or judge people or disconnect... I don't want to live in an online echo chamber where all the information is the same... I just wish it wasn't so hateful.
So, yeah... I am afraid to speak and constantly watching what I say. Listening to conversations around me seeing lies and misinformation spread on social media, and feeling isolated by places I once felt connected to.
Sorry... it's early and I'm rambling again.
Update: here we go 🤣 “Hey, kiddo! How are you doing? How’s everything been? Mom wants to make sure you haven’t been getting hate these days, she hates bullying. It seems everything went to hell since we’ve talked. Well, I suppose we could start with the liquified seaweed. That is quite possibly the most disgusting looking beverage I have ever seen. Has anyone tried it? I imagine it has a unique smell. The color alone is throwing me off and I have a hard time imagining Jared chugging two a day. Your sister told us about someone writing in about their friend’s experience. Your mom said the chances of Jared’s sister really drinking the liquified seaweed are slim to none, this is just her opinion and it could be wrong. But from what mom has seen Jared’s sister is like a little bunny hoping from one thing to the next and never sticking to one thing for too long. Maybe she genuinely does love this product, I have no idea why, but we both have our doubts. Mom also wonders how much she could be making off these advertisements she does and if adding Jared’s name into the mix makes the price higher. The family seem to be getting pretty sick these days, the seaweed must not be doing much for their immune health. But seriously, the amount of advertisements she does how much is she making? I hope it’s enough to justify how often she shows the kids. Even though I don’t think there’s any justification in that, but it’s not my place to comment on how others choose to parent. Moving right along to the secret society that is Towwn, if you go to their website you can “get in the loop” but there’s nothing else there except links to their other social media platforms and what they’re about. Jared’s sister mentioned how this is her true passion, so you’d think she’d have her website a little more detailed and have really explored ways to make it more interesting. Even after reading what they’re about I still have no idea what Towwn is, but I suppose that’s the point of being a secret society. Speaking of Towwn, rabid raccoon! He’s all over the Towwn instagram and even their TikTok, he’s one odd creature. There were a few times he looks downright depressed when speaking on conservation, it’s a serious conversation but I don’t think you need to act as if you’re giving a eulogy. We also see that rabid raccoon is now living with Jared and his sister! How fun! I mean, who wouldn’t want to support a grown man while you’re raising your own kids? Maybe he and Jared’s sister are together, I wouldn’t be upset about that, whatever makes her happy. But what does make me upset is the thought of them both living off Jared’s hard earned money, that’s not right. Rabid raccoon living there is the only logical explanation as to why he’d be doing livestreams at the house. Mom said one common theme of Jared’s sisters livestreams is that she complains about her terrible internet, so why go there specifically to do livestreams if the internet is terrible and the people that own the home aren’t even in the livestream? Talk about weird. Your sister sent us your post on Jared not doing some conventions next year. To say we’re bummed would be an understatement! But we both loved Jensen’s nod to Jared with the coffee picture, we imagine he missed him quite a bit. In the podcast Jensen’s imaginary friend did, mom said she sounds truly happy where she’s at in life and that made your mom happy! Mom especially liked how she answered the questions realistically and wasn’t playing the role of a doting wife. For example, she mentioned being able to live without Jensen but not her kids. It was an opportunity to mention her deep love for him but kept it real and honest. Mom also said she mentioned trying to set Sophia up with Jensen. Now that was an interesting little nugget! Could be true or false, but still interesting nevertheless. Mom said it’s refreshing to hear Jensen’s imaginary friend talk to real friends, not people forced in her life. Too bad Jared’s sister doesn’t have anyone that she can truly talk to and have in her corner. It’s good to be back, kiddo!“
"Hey, kiddo! How are you doing? How’s everything been? Mom wants to make sure you haven’t been getting hate these days, she hates bullying. It seems everything went to hell since we’ve talked"
Everything is okay
Tumblr media
"Well, I suppose we could start with the liquified seaweed. That is quite possibly the most disgusting looking beverage I have ever seen. Has anyone tried it?"
Yeah, someone sent me anons explaining how it tastes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Jared’s sister really drinking the liquified seaweed are slim to none, this is just her opinion and it could be wrong"
I dont know is she drinks it or not but she should be careful with the things she advertises
"Mom also wonders how much she could be making off these advertisements she does and if adding Jared’s name into the mix makes the price higher. "
As far as I know for other influencers when it's a lot thing like this with several videos and posts the money increases a lot.
"Jared’s sister mentioned how this is her true passion, so you’d think she’d have her website a little more detailed and have really explored ways to make it more interesting. Even after reading what they’re about I still have no idea what Towwn is, but I suppose that’s the point of being a secret society. "
I think the only purpose is sharing eco info. The cool stuff would be if they did real things with people or they have a location where people could make things like I dont know, Hiking collecting trash in the mountains, but just sharing info is kind of ambiguous. People read a lot of stuff but then we do nothing, you know. So I think they would have to prepare activities or whatever, but something else than just sharing info.
"We also see that rabid raccoon is now living with Jared and his sister! How fun! I mean, who wouldn’t want to support a grown man while you’re raising your own kids? Maybe he and Jared’s sister are together, I wouldn’t be upset about that, whatever makes her happy. But what does make me upset is the thought of them both living off Jared’s hard earned money, that’s not right. Rabid raccoon living there is the only logical explanation as to why he’d be doing livestreams at the house. Mom said one common theme of Jared’s sisters livestreams is that she complains about her terrible internet, so why go there specifically to do livestreams if the internet is terrible and the people that own the home aren’t even in the livestream? "
My first reaction when I found the kitchen proofs was getting upset and worry about Jared, I dont want someone colonizing his house for no reason. But then I talked with a dearest friend and my friend mentioned the option of Gen and Charlie together and I noticed that I was getting overprotective with Jared without thinking of other reasons why would Charlie be living there. And definitely I have the same opinion like Mom and Dad, if he is there for Gen, he has my blessings but if he is there to control Jared, or see what he can get...That's what gets me angry.
"Jensen’s imaginary friend did, mom said she sounds truly happy where she’s at in life and that made your mom happy! "
I was happy after listening to her too, I think she is where she wants to be, so happy for her.
"Mom especially liked how she answered the questions realistically and wasn’t playing the role of a doting wife. For example, she mentioned being able to live without Jensen but not her kids."
That was so realistic, I loved that answer, until I got confused with the Europe thing, then I wss like I dont get this.
"It was an opportunity to mention her deep love for him but kept it real and honest"
Exactly. If anyone hasnt listened to that part.⬇️
"It’s good to be back, kiddo!“
It's good to have you back!!!!!
Hey!! I really like your blog! I'm also trans masc and a witch. I seem to have a hard time meeting and becoming friends with other witches, do you have any advice about that? Thanks :)
Aw thanks! Welcome. Other trans masc witches get a lil favoritism around here, as a treat. I've actually never been asked this before, and I love this question! I absolutely do have advice about that.
How to Meet & Befriend Other Witches
So you're probably socially anxious like me and not gonna like this one, but the answer is interacting with people. You might have to get outside your comfort zone.
If you're on here? Ask creators questions. Reblog posts. Join discussions. Make your own posts even! You could make a post saying you're looking for other witches like you to follow be mutuals with. You could even make content in general. I'll reblog it. Some of the people closest to me, even people who have my personal instagram or people I've met in person were people who just messaged me some questions on here one day. So I'm big on encouraging people to ask questions or just start making content. I'm big on people asking me questions in general, because I have a special interest, but you get the idea.
Anyways do this on any other social media you use too. Find creators who talk about witchcraft on all platforms. Just follow witches and interact with them anywhere you can!
If you wanna meet witches in person, I have advice for that too. I live in what people consider a very conservative and Christian place but there are still pockets of us. Actually the biggest witchcraft event I've ever been to is coming up in March and I'm so excited! There are also local/localish witchy markets that happen all the time. You'd be surprised. So start searching! Join facebook groups, local ones if you can. Look for events on facebook or instagram or whatever. Google *insert your town or nearby city* with words like metaphysical, witch, witchcraft, etc. Find metaphysical shops, witchy shops, markets, all that. Anything you've got nearby. Go consistently. Befriend the vendors or employees. At the same booth as someone? Oh hey, I was looking at that too. See a nice outfit or pretty accessory on someone else? Especially if it's witchy, compliment them. Ask if they're a witch, ask about their practice. Find a way to strike up a conversation and get out there and talk to people.
Basically this whole thing can be summarized by saying get out there and talk to people! In any way or anywhere that you can.
I really hope this helps! Especially as someone who's never answered this before, and who has really enjoyed making content and meeting other witches in all sorts of places 💕
I'm new to Tumblr and while I try to repost every post I see, can you please explain me why it's better? Asking genuinely because it's my first time on this app
hi! as someone who is also new-ish to tumblr (i have less than a year on this platform) i'm gonna try to explain this how i best understand it. if there's any other older blogs who can add something or correct me please feel free to do so!
basically, the main reason to reblog posts and not just like them is because of the way tumblr works. unlike other platforms (instagram, tiktok, twt, etc) tumblr doesn't relay on an algorithm that will give recommendation of content based on your likes. in tumblr, basically every user is responsible to take the content they interact with to other blogs. reblogging helps to keep post circulating so they can reach new blogs and keep on being "alive". when you only like a post, that like does nothing for that post, it doesn't help to reach other people and keep the content of a tag alive and updated.
reblogging is especially important for fanarts/writing, but i would say all type of content in general. if you like a ficlet or a fanart or your fav author published on ao3 and made an annoucement post here on tumblr, or a blog made an analysis of a character you like, if you enjoy any of that content then the best you can do is to reblog it. when that content reaches more people, it doesn't just help to keep the post circulating like i said before, but it also motivates the original creator to keep posting because they can see the engagement there. and no, this isn't about clout. one of the best things (imo) about tumblr is that it doesn't revolve around big numbers like other social media do. here you don't see who has more or less followers. the point of this is to create communities, create conversations, meet new people, etc, and that can only happen if what you post reaches places in this platform helped by other blogs that enjoyed what you had to offer.
rbing helps that to keep happening. a like literally does nothing. it's useless.
i hope i explained this in a way that can be understood!
Actions you can take to stop MizumiKahago
Before continuing! Read here.
Now then, I assume most of the people coming to this blog, upon reading through the dropbox link, find Mizumi reprehensible, and feel like this person should not be allowed to exist within a fandom space with a large portion of minors making up the community. Most people would (rightfully) believe someone like this should be locked up in prison.
However, I elaborated in this post about what reporting Mizumi to the police would entail, and how it wouldn't put a stop to her actions, and in fact, even make everything worse. So there seems to be nothing we can do to bring the victim justice, right?
Well, I don't think so. I think there are still things you, as a member of the danganronpa, mystic messenger, pokemon, or AI: The somnium files community, can do to make your fandom a more safe space for others, and it starts here:
(ALSO: reblogs >>> likes. If you wanna help spread awareness, reblogs help more than likes)
️✅ DO
Spread the dropbox link & the knowledge of this blog
Message a report of the reddit account u/MizumiKahagoArts to the following subreddits' admins: r/aithesomniumfiles, r/OriginalCharacter, r/mermaids, r/HajimeHinata, r/ultimateeverything, r/pokemon
Report u/MizumiKahagoArts to the Reddit admins for "predatory or inappropriate behaviour involving a minor" and "ban evasion".
Report https://mizumi-kahago.tumblr.com/ to Tumblr admins: https://www.tumblr.com/abuse/minors
Report the Twitter accounts MizumiKahago and MizumiKahagoArt for Child Sexual Exploitation
Report the Instagram account mizumikahago for NSFW Content involving minors
Warn newcomers to the fandom about Mizumi
Block Mizumi's accounts on any social media that you own.
Encourage others, especially minors, to block her.
❌ DON'T
Try to actually have a conversation with her (she's not someone to be swayed into doing the right thing or be reasoned with; she's a dangerous individual that you should avoid as much as possible)
Harass, attempt to dox, or bully Mizumi off any social media platform.
Attempt to find the victim Mizumi groomed and/or pressure them into giving more info.
Harass, attempt to dox, or bully any of Mizumi's friends (current or former) or fans who simply like/reblog her content. Just TELL them what Mizumi did, and let them decide whether they want to continue associating with her or not (and if they decide to cut off all contact with her, great! If not, then STILL DON'T GO AND HARASS THEM)
This post may be added to, or have stuff removed from it in the future, so if you have any suggestions for things to add, feel free to tell me.
There is certainly some push to showcase the 'friendship' probably from the company. Both JHope and JK are doing some level of social media 'support' for the latest album. Especially JK, who has been quiet all this while for all the other releases suddenly is all over Weverse doing an entire live and having a long conversation over hwsnbn's live certainly seems suspicious. With all these doubts about TK drifting away from the other members and spending a lot of time with Wooga and TK not renewing and all that, this could be damage control.
So JK closed his Instagram on 23rd February, and now exclusively uses Weverse. Prior to this he was hardly posting on either platform. He also hadn't any lives since his birthday, 6 moths prior. The only reason that live-streams seems out of the ordinary is because JK is now very active (at least live-streaming, he still rarely posts or comments thought). In two weeks time, JK might watch another BTS piece of content like Run BTS or other members solos, or he might not. It justs feels odd because it's not what JK has normally done on a live stream.
With Instagram I think he wanted it to initially be just the place to post the odd photo, video and music. Then he impulsively changed his mind and wanted to make it more aesthetically pleasing, although personally I kinda hated what he did. Though recently, he hardly ever posted on Instagram.
With Weverse, he's started live streaming more often, and initially I think he just did what he normally did, but I guess he found out that can only take you so far, so decided to have centric live stream on one of his band mates. I think he's continuing to experiment and do things slightly differently, going forward.
But here's the thing, JK bores easily and I think JK will get bored of constantly livestreaming every other week and like with Instagram the time between his lives with increase and the amount he does with decrease.
JK's biggest problem his his boredom and that's why JK needs some else to do his day-to-day social media posts, because we're likely to see JK disappear again (kind of) on Weverse.
10 Mistakes you do not want to fall to in marketing.
Marketing is an essential component of any successful business strategy. However, even the most marketing professionals can make mistakes that can have a significant impact on their marketing campaigns. In this blog post, we'll take a peak at 10 common marketing mistakes that you should avoid when promoting your business, especially in the startup phase.
1. Not Knowing Your Target Audience
One of the biggest mistakes and the biggest failure factor that marketers make is not knowing their target audience. Without understanding your audience's needs, preferences, and behaviors, your marketing efforts are designated to fall flat. Before launching any marketing campaign, take the time to research your target audience and create a detailed buyer persona. This will help you tailor your messaging to match the potential customer and to resonate with them and achieve better results.
2. Not Defining Clear Goals
Another common mistake is not defining clear goals for your marketing campaigns. Without clear goals, it's challenging to measure the success of your marketing efforts or adjust your strategy accordingly. Is your goal to increase website traffic or increase conversion rate or customer awareness or drive them to your physical store .  Take your time to define specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for each of your marketing campaigns.
3. Focusing Too Much on Your Product or Service
While it's important to highlight the benefits of your product or service, focusing too much on them can turn off potential customers. Instead, focus on how your product or service solves a problem and ease the pain  or fulfills a need for your target audience. Highlight the benefits, but don't forget to highlight the value you bring to your customers.
4. Not Utilizing Data and Analytics
Data and analytics are crucial to measuring the success of your marketing campaigns. If you're not using data to guide your marketing strategy, you may be missing out on valuable insights. Because numbers tell us many insights and reverse our performance in some way or another.  Make sure you're tracking and analyzing metrics such as website traffic, click-through rates, conversion rates, and customer behavior to optimize your campaigns.
5. Ignoring Social Media
Social media is a powerful tool for promoting your business and engaging with your target audience. If you're not active on social media, you may be missing out on opportunities to connect with potential customers. Make sure you're using social media platforms that your target audience is active on and engaging with them regularly. You also must know your customer, for example if you want to connect with your customer in the real world then Twitter is your best option and Instagram is your best option if you want to attract the younger generation or your products require visuals and so on. All in all you must make a combo between social media platforms and reach out to the most potential audience .
6. Not Having a Consistent Brand Voice
Your brand voice is how you communicate with your audience and is an essential part of your brand identity. If you're not consistent with your brand voice, it can be confusing and off-putting for your audience. Make sure you have clear brand guidelines that define your tone, language, and messaging.
7. Neglecting SEO
Search engine optimization (SEO) is essential for ensuring that your website and content are discoverable by search engines. Neglecting SEO can lead to poor visibility and decreased traffic to your website. Make sure you're optimizing your website and content for relevant keywords and using best practices for on-page SEO. and so will make your content more discoverable by search engines and stand a chance of ranking in search results.
8. Not Testing Your Marketing Campaigns
Testing is crucial to optimizing your marketing campaigns and improving their effectiveness. If you're not regularly testing your campaigns, you may be missing out on opportunities to improve your results. A/B testing, multivariate testing, and user testing are all effective ways to optimize your marketing campaigns. And again I repeat TEST TEST TEST.
9. Not Investing in Content Marketing
Content marketing is a powerful way to attract and engage your target audience. If you're not investing in content marketing, you may be missing out on opportunities to establish yourself as a thought leader in your industry and build trust with potential customers. Make sure you're regularly creating and sharing high-quality content that resonates with your target audience. In brief content marketing is king .
10. Focusing Too Much on Short-Term Results
Finally, it's important to remember that marketing is a long-term strategy. While it's essential to drive short-term results, focusing too much on short-term goals can lead to neglecting long-term goals. Make sure you're balancing short-term and long-term goals in your marketing strategy too. In nutshell you must make a combo between short term gains & long term gains and so” short term gains must serve the long term goals”  ( like & follow and do not hesitate to ask any thing)
Thoughts on morality and fandom?
As in, people using fandom to virtue signal or as a form of activism?
Mmmm, I don't think fandom should be divorced from morality or social issues. I strongly believe that storytelling can be, and often is, a vehicle for social change and empathy, and can be crucial in normalising lifestyles and identities, creating conversation around divisive topics and peeling back the rug on historical moments that have been deliberately or incidentally forgotten.
These are all important things, and when fandom engages with that in good faith debate, embracing the ways storytelling can challenge us, while also being aware that stories are, at the very foundations of them, subjective and flawed, I do think they can create melting pots of ideas and explorations of morality that emphasise the nuance and complexity of these topics.
That said, I don't think fandom is activism, and it's extremely clear many people do. Representation in storytelling provides platforms and normalisation, as I said above, and at its best, can lead to some social change, but it doesn't lead to political or structural change. We can, and should, demand more of studios and networks, but that should never be conflated with true activism.
I think it's kind of interesting too because in many ways, fandom offers a safe space for people. A safe space to explore something they like, to engage with their own sexuality, their own identities, to explore taboos and to sort of gently challenge their own contexts and backgrounds. It can challenge personal politics and personal selfhood, and sometimes because of that, people conflate it with fandom itself being inherently political.
It can also make people feel I think very protective of their sense of a character, story, or fandom because they feel that degree of personal investment.
In that sense, I think a lot of virtue signalling in fandom comes from an individual's sense of entitlement and ownership of a character or story, and I think that seeing other people interpret a character in a way that they don't like, or are using a story's setting to explore things they don't agree with, is something that's taken personally.
I think in many ways you can trace this sense of entitlement to the Western culture of individualism which prioritises the self and the self's opinion over the community – after all, isn't that what these people are doing? – and that that individualism is something that's been really compounded by social media where the likes of Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and Instagram have effectively given everyone a platform and told everyone their voices are not only important, but the one most worth listening to.
It's presented as a grand equaliser - a flattening of the structures that previously kept people voiceless - but really it's just something that's created a culture where people talk more than they listen, and as a result, speak ignorantly or naively, and often with an agenda that prioritises something that they want.
When it comes to fandom, I think that can be especially compounded. You have people who feel protective of these spaces as they feel connected to a story and found a sort of personal safety in the fandom, and as a result feel a sort of ownership over these spaces. As a result, they'll do anything they can to protect their own idea of a character or a ship or a story, which includes weaponising morality and virtue signalling, and being closed to anything that may challenge that.
So yeah, I think it's not a topic that exists in a vacuum - after all, nothing does - but it's an interesting one to think about!
Ask me for my thoughts on things!
"Generating Leads and Boosting Enrollment in Institution through Digital Marketing"
Dear Admission Managers/ Educators,
Does your institute have enough diversified  admissions? Have you taken steps to improve the brand of your institution?
No…Yes…NO..!!!
Then invest some time to read this article fully to get answers to your questions.
If you tried to do marketing of institutions via traditional methods; then the brand may develop but there is no assurance of the happening of leads via traditional methods of marketing. Even if lead generates; then still the question comes viz. Generated lead converts into the final admissions or not?
Because Marketing is not rocket science but if we use marketing in the right way via digital presence for connecting defined stakeholders with the right geographical area; it gives results in final outcomes.
Nowadays; So many institutions are facing problems in getting admissions; especially tier 2 and tier 3 cities are facing problems; even there are some good institutions available in tier 3 cities; they are also facing the same issue.
This problem is mainly in professional higher education as well as +2 JR. Colleges and schools.
This article is mainly for the people who are Education Director, Marketing Head, Principal, Admission coordinator, etc.
If we use digital marketing effectively in the education sector then defined problems may be resolved.
The fundamentals of Marketing:
Marketing is all about sharing the right messages to stakeholders at the right time to improve the leads. It’s not about only selling the products or services; it’s all about happily communicating with the customer and retaining the customer.
Copywriting, sales, and advertising are the major components of marketing; whenever we are trying to do marketing of any product we need to consider these components.
You should have a great product/service, marketing will help these great products as well as create a brand in customers’ minds. Never try to become number one; Always try how your products or services are unique via marketing.
Physical assets were the main success factor for any institution, coaching class, or the institutions which provide professional online or offline courses to get more admissions. Nowadays success definition has been changed and it’s Good Teachers with value-added digital assets such as the Website, the Online presence of institutions via various media, YouTube channels, Digital skills, etc.
For example, BYJU’s, Khans Academy, and UnAcademy are growing because they have the right kind of digital assets. If they could have used traditional methods of marketing, then it may be difficult for them to sustain in this digital era.
Basically, Digital marketing is an integration of fundamentals of marketing via digital presence; So that target can be achieved through various digital marketing techniques.
Digital Marketing vs. Traditional marketing:
We were doing marketing through Newspaper, Hoardings, telephone; we may do branding through this media but it’s really difficult to generate quality leads via these media, and that is the main reason we have been shifted tho digital marketing through various social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram YouTube, etc
Tumblr media
Immage1. Digital Marketing Vs Traditional Marketing
Nowadays we may see the major stakeholders of the institution are always available on social media through mobile, tablet, or laptop.
Tumblr media
Even students or parents when they are traveling they won’t see the hoardings or detailed ads which come in the newspaper but if they are traveling or maybe at home they will always check social media; they see the various ads of intuition through organic or inorganic digital marketing.
Drawbacks of Traditional Marketing:
No interaction or very less interaction with your defined audience
No direct action/Click are available easily to know more about products
Little Bit difficult to measure ROI
Poor conversion
Difficult to receives the feedback
So good options for educators to move on to digital marketing. The main reason is more students spend a minimum 4 to 6 hrs per day on digital tools. They don’t want to read flyers, see the hoarding, etc.
So nowadays it’s better to promote any course/ institution via digital marketing than traditional marketing. Even Students or parents take the decision by online review about course and institution. They check the various facilities available under course, inside the institutes via website institute or a youtube channel or social media pages of the institutes
Advantages of Digital Marketing
In digital marketing it is possible to target stakeholders by defined focus such as Age, location, occupation etc so such facilities are not available in traditional marketing. Example: if we give an ad in Dainik Bhaskar ; then investment is high to give an ad in a leading newspaper, we can’t control the parameters which are available in digital marketing to the paper advertisement.
To reach a global audience is available through digital marketing.
It’s 100 % possible to measure digital paid ads.
Digital marketing is very much cost effective.
Promoting of new business is easy through digital marketing.
Via digital marketing, we can create the brand in the minds of consumers.
There are some challenges for educators about digital marketing :
Don’t know about digital marketing
Running ads but not getting right kind of leads
Don’t know ; how to target expected audience
Development of digital content
Building communities via digital medium
CATT Marketing Funnel:
This is one of the best models to get solutions for various challenges/ problems which are faced by educators to improve the branding of their institutions.
Wealth= n^CATT
n(Niche): It’s the main factor for success and improving the wealth of your business.
Content: Development of the right kind of content; which attracts the people. Content such as blog, post, Videos, webinar, creatives, QA on Quora, information on various pages of social media and website especially landing page.
Attention: via SEO, SEM, Paid to add, referrals, etc, we can divert the attention of stakeholders towards our service.
Trust: Create trust in customers’ minds via marketing automation such as CRM, Re-targeting, etc.
Transaction: Finally stakeholders should take action for the transaction via a defined sales method that is appropriate for defied sales of products or services.
For example, Stakeholders should come on our landing page via paid Ad, SEO, SEM and make sure they should share their details on the form and they should click submit button; once they submit the data our direct response team will take the strongly follow up for the same and stakeholders should be ready for to do payment transaction or via after the landing page itself if stakeholders feel that our services or product is okay as per their expectation then they initiate the payment process their itself.
Integrated Digital Marketing:
Tumblr media
Image3. Integrated Digital Marketing
By using various funnels, rank our pages by the search engine so that search engines will find our landing page or webpage; where we would like to invite more targeted stakeholders for converting the leads.
We will have people in different funnels at various stages so it depends upon how we utilize it for generating the leads.
The important part is people should trust you so via CATT funnel it’s easy to do the final conversion.
To know more about Generating Leads and Boosting Enrollment in Institution through Digital Marketing or if you are looking for digital marketing services; You may share your requirements on [email protected] or visit our website
What is the best way to get traffic for CPA marketing?
When it comes to gaining traffic for CPA marketing, the level of difficulty can vary depending on a number of factors. While there are many effective strategies for driving traffic to your offers, it can be challenging to generate high-quality traffic that is likely to convert.
One of the main challenges is that the competition in the digital marketing space is fierce, with many businesses vying for the same audience. This means that it can take significant effort and resources to stand out and get noticed. Additionally, the constantly evolving digital landscape means that what works today may not work tomorrow, and staying up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and techniques is crucial for success.
However, with a well-defined target audience and a strategic approach, gaining traffic for CPA marketing is certainly achievable. By leveraging a combination of paid and organic methods, businesses can reach the right people at the right time, driving conversions and achieving their marketing goals.
Tumblr media
In this little guide, I'll show you how to gain traffic for your website step by step. And because I know how important time is for you, I'll summarize the most important steps so you can learn this strategy in just one minute and start using it in the second. So keep following me.
1. Step: Define Your Target Audience
Before you can start generating traffic for your CPA offers, it's important to have a clear understanding of who your target audience is. This will help you identify the best marketing channels to reach them and create targeted messaging that resonates with their needs and interests. Learn more about audience here.
Step 2: Choose the Right CPA Offer
Not all CPA offers are created equal, and it's important to choose the right offer that is well-suited for your target audience. Look for offers that align with your audience's interests and needs, and that have a high conversion rate.
Step 3: Develop a Content Marketing Strategy
Creating high-quality, engaging content that resonates with your audience is key to driving traffic for CPA marketing. Develop a content marketing strategy that includes blog posts, social media posts, infographics, and other types of content that provide value to your audience and promote your CPA offers.
Step 4: Leverage Paid Advertising
Paid advertising can be an effective way to drive traffic to your CPA offers, especially if you're just starting out or need to quickly scale your traffic. Consider using channels such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or native advertising platforms to reach your target audience. You can use YouTube for inspiration.
Step 5: Utilize Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Search engine optimization (SEO) is an important strategy for driving organic traffic to your CPA offers. Optimize your website and content for relevant keywords and use link building and other tactics to improve your search engine rankings.
Tumblr media
Step 6: Utilize Social Media Marketing
Social media can be a powerful tool for driving traffic to your CPA offers, especially if you have an engaged following on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Develop a social media marketing strategy that includes regular posts, paid advertising, and influencer partnerships. You can write me on Instagram if you need help.
Step 7: Utilize Email Marketing
Email marketing is a great way to reach your target audience and promote your CPA offers directly. Build an email list of interested subscribers, and send regular newsletters, promotions, and other types of content that encourage them to take action on your offers.
Tumblr media
Remember, gaining traffic for CPA marketing requires time, effort, and a strategic approach. It's important to be patient and persistent, and to regularly evaluate and adjust your marketing tactics as needed. While the competition may be fierce and the digital landscape constantly evolving, the potential rewards of a successful CPA marketing campaign can be significant. By staying focused on your target audience and leveraging the right combination of marketing channels, you can drive high-quality traffic to your CPA offers, increase conversions, and achieve your marketing goals. My Professional Social Media Presence
Ever since I was introduced to the internet and social media, the permanency of our digital footprints played a big role in how I used social media. I currently have a public Instagram account because I feel that there is no need for me to hide what I am posting. I would be okay with my parents, current and future employers, my friends, and peers seeing what I post. I tend to use Instagram, specifically, as a way to document bigger events in my life that I want to look back on, rather than posting everything I do, like some people choose to. On the other hand, I have private accounts where I must accept friend requests on the social media platforms that I feel are more intimate and that I use more for daily conversation. This would include Snapchat. In general, I rarely ever post on my Snapchat story anyways, so I primarily use it to chat with and keep streaks with my friends, especially those who I cannot see everyday. Facebook is another social media platform that I use by request because it is how I connect with my family. I do not believe that I have ever made a post myself on Facebook, but I enjoy seeing what my mom, grandma, and aunts are posting about, since that is their primary social media platform. All of the posts on my profile would be posts I have been tagged in, so I do not mind that they are out there.
As a social media consultant for myself, I like the way I currently use social media to present myself and connect with others. I want to make sure every platform is something that I am proud of and would be willing to show my parents or future employers. With that, the only social media that I feel I should be working to improve is my LinkedIn profile. I do already have an account that is primarily up to date with my schooling and work experience, but I am uneducated about the proper etiquette when using LinkedIn. Other than maintaining my records and communicating with those who reach out to me over LinkedIn, I am not sure what is typically expected of me when engaging with my followers and making posts. That is one thing that I am hoping to improve over the next year, as soon I will begin looking at starting a 30-week internship for my major and it could be very beneficial when seeking out those opportunities.
