Hi, sorry. Why do we not want MatPat to find welcome home? Sorry, I’m not exactly caught up with a lot of his videos. I watched his Hermitcraft theory video and I saw the drama around that, but otherwise I’m not too caught up with everything that’s happened. Just curious! ^_^
I did take a glance at the beginning of the vod just in case at the very least they’d have some sort of brief on the content and the creator who made it but it’s incredibly embarrassing that he’s gone in with legitimately no information and prior knowledge on what he’s getting into
But aside from that, it’s mostly related to the fact that A, he’s doing it during a fandom surge which means good time for monetizing (personal speculation) and B, he’s going to bring so many people into an already quickly growing and unmanageable community. Clown, the creator, is one person making the project and is already overwhelmed. It’s going to make it so much worse

“So, how’d it go yesterday?”
It takes Jack a second to respond. Davey’s not much for words anymore, not when it comes to him, and Jack hasn’t had it in him to slap on a smile and stubbornly shoulder both sides of a conversation today. So, at first, he doesn’t realize that Davey’s talking to him.
But he is. He’s looking right at him expectantly, his head tilted in question.
Jack almost drops the pape he’s holding into the gutter.
“Uh. How’d what go?” he asks.
“You know, at Medda’s,” Davey says. “With Racetrack and Maggie.”
“Oh, um,” Jack blows out a long breath. “Fine. It, uh… It went fine.”
“Just fine?” Davey asks. “Because I was hoping it’d go a little better than fine.”
“Well, no one died,” Jack says. It’s not really a joke but it falls flat regardless. “So, there’s that.”
“But… but you’re good now, right?” Davey asks, and he’s thumbing through his remaining papes like he’s counting how many he’s got left, all casual like, but his voice is strange. Urgent, even. “You and Race and— Everything’s settled?”
Jack scuffs his toe against the pavement. “Settled as it’s gonna get, I guess.”
“Well, is it or isn’t it?” Davey presses.
“I dunno what’cha want me to say, Dave,” Jack says, fighting to hold onto his temper. It’s not Davey’s fault that Jack’s been left on the outside once again, Maggie and Racetrack sharing some new understanding that Jack just ain’t welcome to. Not his fault that Maggie’s become one more person whose smiles don’t reach their eyes when they look at him. “It ain’t great, it ain’t perfect, but it is what it is. At this point, I’ll take what I can get.”
“So, it isn’t settled,” Davey surmises, mouth pursed in disappointment. “Tony promised me he was going to make things right—“
“Oh, so he’s Tony, now, huh?” Jack scoffs, incredulous.
“I… Sure,” Davey says slowly, politely puzzled. “Why not?”
Jack swallows back his first, instinctive, response, and it cuts like glass all the way down his throat.
“Talk to Tony then, if you wanna know more,” he mutters, glaring at the ground. “No need’ta bother with me.”

Well, I’ve made another trip around the sun! I can already tell that I like being 32 a lot more than 31. It’s too bad that it’s a Tuesday—I could definitely do with a glass of cheer today! Cake will have to do.
Happy Birthday to me!!! 😊🥳🎂

"if youre an anti youre pro cop" is so antiblack its insane. i swear to god you must just hate black people and think youre the biggest victim on the planet for enjoying incest. youre not helping anybody by claiming that incest survivors are cops, thats just lumping the oppressed in with their oppressors. if anything, YOURE like the cops bc you love abuse apologia so much. 40% of cops are reported to be domestic abusers, go jerk off to that.
So anyway y’all’s mindset is exactly the same mindset as white Karens calling the cops on any black person they see because they feel uncomfortable being around black people. Except at least Karens don’t push it to the point of causing people’s deaths over stupid dumb shit like cartoons, so actually Karens are way better people than all of you.
And by the way, you wanna talk about racism? You should actually remind everyone what antis say about black and Asian people. From calling Japanese people “inverted” and shit like that to using the hard r on the n-word. While being white.
So there’s that.

The inspector was round and chubby. He gave an obsequiously apologetic grin, “Maiden, don’t worry. Actually, it happens a lot that other sects come to us for cultivators. Maybe somebody else took him during the past few days? When we do roll calls, we’d sometimes find that someone ran away as well...”
—Chapt. 72: Recklessness, exr
Yes the other clans know this labor camp exists. But also, what could they possibly be looking for prisoners of war for? Recruitment (we know the Jin recruited former Wen cultivators)? More human bait?

it’s possible i did not read mister impossible as intended but my reaction to the idea of blowing up infrastructure and waking up the ley lines so the world could be magical again was mainly that it’s a really interesting direction for an urban fantasy series to go. by taking the real world with hidden underlying magic genre and very bluntly proposing the idea of transforming it into a full blown fantasy world with everything out in the open it’s breaking the unspoken rules that are usually held to in these kind of stories. idk like all the self isolation wasn’t great but am i really supposed to want ronan to call adam back so they can move into an apartment together in cambridge? after you told me the dreamers could reinvent the whole world in fire?
